because we only go as far as you let us.
That's right, Folks, tune in and make sure you tell
five friends to tell five friends. The Morning Kickoff seven
(00:21):
to nine am Monday through Friday right here on sports
Radio AM thirteen hundred The Zone. Welcome back to our
number two of the Morning Kickoff right here on Sports
Radio AM thirteen hundred The Zone. It's a long horn
Monday edition of The Morning Kickoff.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Mike Harball Hart, the World's.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Strongest Men in WWE Hall of Famer d Mark Henry.
He's out on some business today, but he will be
back tomorrow. And of course we got our guy Khalil
holding it down. And hour number one we talked about
the Texas Longhorns defeating the Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville twenty
seven twenty four. Things have changed and the poll will
(01:03):
get into that conversation. We also heard from coach Sark
and the players about what it meant to get that
victory and bounce back after last week's defeat against the
Georgia Bulldogs. We also heard from coach Rodney Terry as
the men's basketball team gets ready for an exciting season
(01:24):
at the mood and in the SEC and we just
talked about the Dodgers. But right now, I want to
recap the big games that were happening this past weekend
in college football. And let me just say this, Watching
these football games over the weekend has been nothing short
of exciting.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
There's so many changes that have happened.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
It started on Friday or Thursday night when Pittsburgh intercepted.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Three passes for a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Three I in t's for touchdowns go on to de
veat Syracuse forty one to thirteen. But it ended on
Saturday night with Colorado Dion Sanders winning their game and
now becoming the twenty three twenty third ranked team in
(02:19):
college football. Not only are they the twenty third ranked
team in college football, they are now Bowl eligible for
the first time in a very long time.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
They are six and two.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
They are four and one in the Big Twelve after
their thirty four to twenty three victory over Cincinnati. Now
This is two short seasons after Dion took over the job,
and now he has got this team Bowl eligible and
they can also be a team that can compete for
(02:57):
a playoff spot. Now it's real tough in that Big
Twelfth conference because there's some really good teams that are
in the Big Twelve. BYU is still undefeated, Iowa State
still undefeated, but there is an outside chance that they
can find a way to be invited to the party.
(03:18):
But at least they know that they're going to be
invited to a great bowl game. But now Shador Sanders,
Dion Sanders, Travis Hunter are now being into discussions. Well
at least Travis is in the discussions, and Shador talked
about Travis possibly being a Heisman Trophy winner.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
It is what it is.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
I don't really look too deep into that. I just
want Travis to win, of course, and that would be
almost like I won because I throwing the ball. So yeah,
So when Travis travisy, he is the best playering college football,
hands down, and I'm excited for him to win it.
(04:02):
And that's truly I'll just make my day right there.
That's it. Like whenever he was for the nca game,
just seeing him on there, knowing the sacrifice that he took,
you know, to make all this happen. Come to AHBCU
come here and you know, no matter how much money
was he was offered and all the crazy type of
stuff I heard that he told me.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
I'm like, yeah, bro, you're a good friend. Bro, you're
a good brother. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
And not only that, Dion goes the opposite direction and
talk about Shador because Chadur's numbers are legit and he
is elite, and we talked about how bad his offensive
line has been over the years. But for him to
do the things that he's capable of doing, and now
having this conversation, it's pretty interesting when you think about it.
(04:47):
He's not in the Heisman Trophy conversation, and we've talked
about it here as well.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Tonight was one of those nights, and I mean, shoot,
that's what we expect. He's so during good that we
don't get even the credit that he deserved for some
of the things that he does.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Fifteen school record.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Wow, See, you don't even know that stuff because you're
into the game and you're coaching. You don't even think
about that kind of stuff. I remember, I think he
did that one time in Jackson that he was phenomenal
like that, but wow, wow, wow, and they don't even
mention it.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
But Asthma, he not even mentioned, Oh my beat, he's
my son. That's what Dion taking them shots.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
It is kind of ironic though, you start to look
at Shador's numbers and what he's been able to do
this season. The Heisman Trophy favorite right now is Dylan Gabriel.
His team is the number one team in the land
and they are still undefeated. Number two Travis Hunter, number
three cam Ward number four, Ashton Genty, the running back
for Boysey State, still having big time numbers.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Kate clubbed it.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Kate Klubnik is the number five Heisman Trophy odds winner
at plus twelve seventy five, Carson Beck plus twenty five hundred.
Shador Sanders finally in the top of it is at
plus thirty seven hundred. Interesting way of going about it,
(06:20):
but he's putting up those numbers. Jalen Milroe is plus
forty two hundred and Quinn Yours is at plus forty
seven hundred. That's an interesting look right there for what
we've been able to see from all of these teams.
As I said, the Texas A and m Aggies are
(06:41):
moved up to number ten and the ap pole, which
is very, very impressive. Their coach, Mike Elko had some
choice words for a lot of people that are out there.
Will play those tomorrow because I wanted Mark Henry, who's
not here today, but I want him to be able
to have that conversation because he has strong disdain for
(07:06):
the Texas A and M fighting Aggies. But number one
is Oregon, number two, Georgia, number three, Penn State, who
is seven and zero. They defeated Wisconsin twenty eight to thirteen.
Ohio State six and one is coming in at number four.
They defeated Nebraska twenty one to seventeen. The U Miami
(07:27):
in the top five, they de leap frog the Texas
Longhorns is they've defeated Florida State. And then we'll get
into this conversation in just a second, because it's not
a slam at Florida State, it's a slam at the
voting process. Number six, Texas Longhorns, seven and one Vanderbilt.
They beat Vanderbilt twenty seven to twenty four. Tennessee was
(07:50):
idle there at number seven. Notre Dame is seven to
one and they're at number eight. They defeated Navy, who
was undefeated, fifty one to fourteen four a bunch of
turnovers in that game. Number nine BYU undefeated. They're up
two spots to number nine as they defeated UCF thirty
(08:10):
seven to twenty four, and Texas A and M after
their big victory against LSU thirty eight to twenty three,
is up four spots to number ten. They are in
the top ten, followed by Clemson, Iowa State who is undefeated, Indiana,
who defeated Washington thirty one to seventeen. Alabama comes in
(08:32):
at number fourteen, Boise State is fifteen, and LSU after
their loss, is at number sixteen, k State number seventeen,
Pittsburgh seven to oh eighteen, Ole Miss six and two
after defeating Oklahoma twenty six to fourteen. SMU defeated Duke
(08:52):
twenty eight to twenty seven. Came down to the very
end and they are up to number twenty. Army idol
and they're still seven to zero and they're twenty one,
Washington State twenty two. Colorado entering for the first time
at six and two Bowl eligible, they are ranked number
twenty three. Illinois six and two got beat down by
(09:16):
Oregon thirty eight to nine, and Missouri lost lost to
Alabama thirty four to nothing, but they stayed in the
top ten. Speaking of losses, Yeah, I'm gonna talk about
it Dallas Cowboys last night. Yeah, I gotta have some conversations.
(09:36):
We'll talk about it here on a Longhorm Monday edition
of the Morning Kickoff right here on Sports Radio AM
thirteen hundred.
Speaker 5 (09:44):

Spurs fans, make sure you tune into the next segment
coming up at eight point forty we have Carolina Tigue
of the Spurs Blog talking all things Spurs as they
get ready for a matchup tonight against the Houston Rockets
at home Teachers Appreciation too, so make sure you tuned
in for that. But I want to talk NFL because
(18:04):
the Dallas Cowboys last night lost to the banged up
San Francisco forty nine ers. They still don't have Christian McCaffrey.
Deebo Samuel was out all week with pneumonia. He came
back and played. They were missing Greenlaw on defense, but
(18:25):
they had Fred Warner. The Cowboys continue to disappoint. The
question is how bad would they have been if if
they wouldn't have had a bye week to prepare. The
Cowboys come off the bye week and look like they
hadn't played football in quite some time. I know people
(18:46):
want to go continue to look at Dak go ahead.
He threw two interceptions, could have been three, might have
been four. At the end of the game. I don't
know who he was throwing to. He threw in the
triple coverage for no reason. Now, Cedee Lamb had one
hell of a ball game, and maybe that's what it
was all about, trying to get CD the ball. But
(19:07):
you continue to look at this Dallas Cowboy football team
and wonder where the answers are. Is it with a
new coach possibly, is it a change that needs to happen?
Speaker 2 (19:20):
For sure?
Speaker 1 (19:21):
I am surprised that we have not heard that either
Mike Zimmer or Mike McCarthy still have jobs today. Now,
I don't know if it'll been a good enough reason
for that.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
To happen, but it continues to.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
Have my mind racing on who the Cowboys really are.
Every time I put on my Cowboys clothing, I feel
like I'm brushing some makeup on each cheek and putting
on a red nose because I feel like a clown.
There's teams that are looking at their teams and believing
(19:57):
that they're going to make the playoffs. Prescott said after
the game last night, it's a long season. We still
have it all in front of us. No, you don't,
because as the weeks continue to go by, the season
gets closer and closer to ending. Therefore you don't have
that often, you don't have that much time. The Cowboys
(20:21):
are now three and four on the regular season. They
travel to Atlanta this weekend to face a team that
has a quarterback that has been saying we come into
your house and tell.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
Your trap and make it they trap.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
He's getting culture in Atlanta, and they are winning. They
are now five and three on the season, with Bijon
Robinson scoring touchdown yesterday and going in and defeating a
divisional foe in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers thirty one to
twenty six. And you continue to question this Dallas Cowboy team.
(21:06):
You look at the standings in the division, Well, Cowboys
and the Giants sitting right there looking at each other
at the bottom. Giants played a night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
We'll talk about that a little bit later, but Giants
are two and five. Cowboys are three and four, the
Eagles are five and two, and the Washington Commanders. The
(21:32):
Washington Commanders, with a rookie quarterback who had busted ribs,
is now sitting at the top of the division with
half of the Dallas Cowboys roster and defensive coordinator over
there in Washington, and now they are sitting at six
(21:52):
and two in the NFC East. How in the world
is that possible. Well, I'm gonna tell you how it's possible.
It's because of ownership. It's because of the players that
aren't performing. It's because this team, which you said was
(22:13):
all in at the very beginning of the year.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
You got mad at.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Radio host a couple of weeks ago because they were
questioning you on the fact that you're talking about all
in with guys that haven't put it out there for you.
It just doesn't make sense. So here's the Dallas Cowboys
remaining schedule. They will take on the Atlanta Falcons this week.
(22:42):
They go to take on the Philadelphia Eagles at home,
the Houston Texans, who won again at home, the Washington
Commanders on the road, the New York Giants, the Cincinnati Bengals,
(23:02):
the Panthers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Philadelphia Eagles again.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
And the Washington Commanders again.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Here's the difference with that, There's only two teams within
that group that don't have a winning record, the Giant
Divisional fall and the Carolina Panthers. The Bengals aren't as
good anymore, so I can't say anything about that. But
Tampa real good. Tampa's really good, even though they lost
(23:33):
Godwin and Mike Evans. But I think Mike Evans will
be back by the time they play the Cowboys. Godwin
will not be back. But yesterday was National Tight Ends
Day and Otto was scoring a lot of touchdowns. So
Baker Mayfield is a good quarterback, and we can look
at the quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
That they're going to be facing as well.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Jalen Hurts well next week, Kirk Cousins, Jalen Hurts, CJ
Jalen Daniels, Daniel jonespending on how he looks tonight, Joe Burrow,
Bryce Young who looked a little bit better last night,
Baker Mayfield, and then uh, Jalen Hurts and Jayden Daniels. Again,
(24:17):
the Cowboys are in a bad, bad way. They are
not a good football team. And you say, well, let's
look at Mozzi Smith. I'm not a big PFF Pro
Football focused guy.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
I'm not really big into those numbers.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
But when Mozzie Smith is ranked one nineteen out of
one nineteen, that don't mean you're that good at nose
tackle your defensive rating, you are ranked one nineteen out
of one hundred and nineteen players, that means you're not
very good on defense. Then postgame, Trayvon Diggs wanted to
(24:57):
fight one of the reporters for asking him, Hey, why
weren't you pursuing the entire play? Like you were kind
of not going after the ball. You weren't trying to
get to the ball, And he wanted to basically tell him,
if you don't know what you're talking about, then I
don't want to hear. The Dallas Cowboys have no other
(25:18):
weapons besides CD LAMB. The running game you tried to
elevate yesterday, Dalvin Cook, and I've been begging for Dalvin
Cook to get on the field.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
I don't know that, ain't it. My guy?
Speaker 1 (25:33):
Ferguson looks like he can't get open anymore. I don't
know what's going on with him. Cavante turping down the
sideline ball hits him off his helmet.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
What is going on with that?
Speaker 1 (25:46):
And yet you have no other wide receivers than other
teams are making moves and you did not. Therefore, it
is what it is. Cowboys are bad. Y'all can talk
about Dak, you can talk about See and you can
talk about all the money.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
That's fine. I'm cool with it now. I'm not even
gonna argue with you.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
I said that before, I'm gonna say it again. I
ain't arguing with you, and that is why I continue
to look at this. But let's go to some positives
I want you all to hear from my boy, Jameis Winston.
Yesterday got a chance to start in the NFL again.
With all of the information that has happened with Deshaun
Watson him tearing his achilles, he got an opportunity, got
(26:30):
an opportunity to play once again. And let's just say
he was really really excited about the opportunity.
Speaker 24 (26:39):
I'm wavering faces ultimate belief. Depending on the Lord, and
depending on the Lord should have been first.
Speaker 25 (26:47):
He gets all the gold. Thank you, Jesus, thank you
for this win.
Speaker 26 (26:50):
Talk to me about your team and the way they
showed up today coming off five consecutive losses. No one
would have blamed you, guys if you gave up. How
did your guys show up this week in practice to
get it done today against the Baltimore Ravens.
Speaker 24 (27:02):
One play at a time. We fought, We gave everything
that we.
Speaker 25 (27:05):
Could possibly give. Thank you for the offensive.
Speaker 24 (27:07):
Line, thank you for the defensive line of winning the trenches.
And thank you for the Browns fans for coming up
and standing up and helping us get a victory here
at home.
Speaker 26 (27:17):
It's not often that you get another opportunity like you
have just received in the NFL. What does it mean
to lead these guys and what could be the start
of what you said is something special moving forward?
Speaker 24 (27:29):
Man, there's a there's a white boy from Detroit that
I really admire named Eminem.
Speaker 25 (27:35):
He said, you only get one shot.
Speaker 24 (27:37):
You do not miss a chance to blow this opportunity
last once in a lifetime.
Speaker 25 (27:41):
And I know I got a quote.
Speaker 24 (27:42):
You know, Eminem, he from Detroit, He right up the road.
But man, I'm just grateful. I'm grateful that the Lord
provided me with this opportunity. I'm grateful for my teammates,
my coaches, and these amazing fans.
Speaker 26 (27:51):
Unbelievable performance today.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Congratulations Jamis, Jameis Winston getting another opportunity twenty seven of
forty one, three hundred and thirty four yards and three
touchdowns against the Ravens. So a team that finally got
slowed down by a quarterback that all he wanted to
do was go out there and perform. But the funny
(28:12):
part about it was been the pre game. He was
getting them, the team together, to motivate them and Jamis,
we're gonna do a segment moving forwards. What did Jamis
say today? But I want you to hear about him
in the tunnel talking to his teammates, trying to get
(28:33):
him going.
Speaker 24 (28:35):
From once in a lifetime and with those opportunities, we
have to make the most of it.
Speaker 25 (28:41):
Every one of us have an individual responsibility to go.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Out there and fight for each other. Represent the names
on your bank, represents the names that's on your hill.
Speaker 25 (28:49):
Well we don't got to be capsis all right? One
play at a time, right together, Right here we go.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
My man said, well, we ain't got no decaps.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
I love me some Jameis Winston, but also I want
to get back to the Washington commanders.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
How did we get to this part.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Well, the reason why the Washington Commanders are in this
position is because the Chicago Bears didn't handle their business
poor with the goal line.
Speaker 27 (29:23):

Welcome back to the morning kickoff right here on sports
Radio AM thirteen hundred The Zone. It is my pleasure
to take some time to go down to San Antonio
and bring on my girl, Carolina t. She is the
editor in chief of Perfect Blog and Miss league dot com.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
Good morning, How are you?
Speaker 22 (41:06):
Good morning? How are you?
Speaker 2 (41:08):
I'm doing right, that's right, that's right.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
Get everybody up so we can get into this conversation. Obviously,
we know that football season is still going on, but
the NBA has tipped off, and of course we've got
to go down to San Antonio and talk about the
Spurs coach Pop and this team is ready to go.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
They won on Saturday night.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
And it's interesting too because I was just talking to
our producer Khalil that they played the Rockets the other
night and now they're getting ready to play them again
tonight teacher Appreciation Night at the Frostbank Center in San Antonio.
But what have you made from the Spurs in the
very beginning of the season.
Speaker 10 (41:52):
So far?
Speaker 39 (41:53):
What I've made, I've had just seen how they've been
at training camp and in the preseason. They see like
they're a lot more cohesive and they've been playing with
a lot more chemistry. And you can tell the sense
of the difference that has changed in the past couple
of years from having kind of positive energy but still
having a fight through seasons where they were quote unquote
(42:15):
tanking where they didn't have the best record. Now with
the addition of Chris Paul and Harrison Barnes and having
that veteran presence there.
Speaker 22 (42:23):
On the court, it's made a huge difference.
Speaker 39 (42:25):
Last year, the Spurs struggled with closing out games in
the fourth quarter, and the past game that we saw
against the Rockets, they finally were able to close out
a game even after they gave up almost twenty point
plus deficit in the second half. So down the stretch
they were struggling. But having Chris Paul in those final moments,
letting these young players know exactly what to do and
(42:45):
how to close out a game, they were able to
get it done. So you've seen that transition. It's been
great to watch.
Speaker 1 (42:50):
So we've got a chance to see Winby last year.
You know, rookie coming in, excitement of everything. Well, now
he's got a season under his belt, a little bit more,
put some weight on muscle wise, he looks like he's
ready for the long haul. But they also talked about
in the very beginning. I think it was actually you
that had the question about minutes and the change and
(43:13):
the thought process of how they're planning to manage their minutes.
It's early in the season, but Wemby is someone that
everybody wants to see.
Speaker 39 (43:23):
Yeah, but Wenby's made it pretty much clear that he's
going to go with the vita, the own drum of
what coach Popping, what the team wants for him. So
the minutes thing, the minutes restriction, that's been a big
question over everyone's head is something.
Speaker 22 (43:36):
That is still kind of elusive, even if you are.
Speaker 39 (43:39):
Covering the team pretty fairly. But one thing's for certain,
and two things for sure.
Speaker 22 (43:44):
They are increasing his minutes. It seems like they're using him.
Speaker 39 (43:47):
A lot more this season, and they're going to increase
the time that he's on the court little by little
just to ensure that he's not only at his best
physical peak, but he doesn't wear himself down.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
Yeah, I wanted to talk about Stefan Castle as well.
You know, you brought up Chris Paul and Harrison Barnes,
two big acquisitions who are, let's be honest, they're a
lot older and a little long in the tooth when
it comes to being able to play this game at
that level that we want to see with some of
these young guys. Now they're talented, they're gonna put up
(44:19):
some numbers. Think Barnes had like twenty the other night
and was playing really well.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
But Stefan Castle is.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
Somebody that played at Yukon and there's a lot of
expectations for him.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
How do you assess his growth? Already in the.
Speaker 39 (44:32):
Season, he's gotten a lot of praise, which is pretty
great to see. Coach Pop doesn't really throw praise around
for young rookies that early in the season, but there's
been multiple times in the preseason and that training camp
where he's had nothing but.
Speaker 22 (44:51):
Great things to say about Steph Castle.
Speaker 39 (44:53):
And when the reporters earlier the season asked Chris Paul
about Stephan how he's been playing, Chris Paul end up
like it seemed like Pandora's box, and he said that
he's one of the best young rookies he's seen in
training camp, in practice, works his heart out, is just
very naturally smart. And yesterday at the postgame press conference
(45:14):
against the Rockets, or after the Rockets game, Steph Castle
basically said that he has this natural ability to be
able to read defenses, read the plays, seeing them coming,
and that's kind of been key. And Coach Pop even
said he trust him to help close out a game,
which is, you know, you've seen the Spurs way.
Speaker 22 (45:34):
They usually go up to Austin, they do the G
League thing.
Speaker 39 (45:37):
Now things have transitioned a little bit, so having a
rookie to help close out a game so early on
in the season is a huge shift for the San
Antonio Spurs, and the right person to be able to
close out those games. According to coach Pop is Steph Castle.
Speaker 1 (45:49):
That's that's a big, big praise for him, especially coming
from Pop. And again what you said about what Chris
Paul has been able to say. We're talking to Carolina t.
You can follow her at ct the Mike Slayer on
social media. She's in charge of the editor in chief

Speaker 39 (46:19):
Minute name that I made up, but it's kind of
about that.
Speaker 22 (46:23):
It's been great, Doglar're.
Speaker 2 (46:24):
Definitely trying to figure it out, right, that's how.
Speaker 22 (46:27):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 39 (46:28):
Yeah, even the Spurs spell it wrong, so don't even
worry about it.
Speaker 1 (46:31):
Got you, So, I wanted to ask about coach Pop too.
Obviously he's under a lot of scrutiny coming into the season.
Everybody is in Pop, we trust, but you also want
to make sure too that the team is playing and
believing in.
Speaker 2 (46:47):
What coach Pop is talking about.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
Have you seen any signs of folks thinking, well, maybe
this is going to be his last year or is
this something that Pop is in it for.
Speaker 2 (46:58):
The long haul.
Speaker 22 (47:00):
He's giving me Poper is in it for the long haul.
Speaker 39 (47:03):
Vibes there's been zero since in me that he's lost
the locker room in any way, shape or form.
Speaker 22 (47:09):
He's had a lot of criticism, like you said.
Speaker 39 (47:11):
He's too old, he can't connect with younger guys, but
no player has ever come out and disparage Coach Pop.
Speaker 22 (47:19):
A lot of the players, pretty much all of them.
Speaker 39 (47:21):
Have said publicly that they have a lot of respect
for Coach Pop and the type of coach that he is.
He always preaches that things are bigger than basketball. So
I've never gotten a sense that he's lost the locker room,
that he's ready to give up, that he's ready to retire.
And he also signed a five year contract extension this
(47:43):
past season, so he's gonna be here for the long haul,
and people just need to get used to that. And
I love the fact that Pop has been able to
take on new challenges. You know, I don't like, I
don't subscribe to the whole like you're too old thing.
I feel like, if you're able to constantly learn, if
you're able to constantly us and able to constantly shift,
which Pop has shown by changing their routine from sending
(48:05):
rookies to the G League. Now they're shifting and kind
of adapting to the new NBA. He's willing to learn
and willing to change, and age ain't nothing but a number.
So for me, I think Pop is in good standing
with the Spurs and I can't wait to see what
he does to develop this team.
Speaker 1 (48:18):
Well, let everybody know where they can follow you and
keep up with all of your Spurs information, because this
seems to be a fun season and we took everybody
here at thirty five and a half. We took the
over for the Spurs to get to that number. So
you're in good hands with us.
Speaker 22 (48:36):

to Dan Patrick tonight the Steelers and the Giants.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
Russ is cooking, but are the g man going to
be cooked?
Speaker 1 (57:22):
Is this something tonight that you see the New York
Giants being able to turn it around and possibly give
the Steelers a run for their money. The Steelers are
six point favorite at home tonight for Monday Night Football. No,
so you're taking Pittsburgh tonight?
Speaker 2 (57:43):
Yes? Okay, absolutely? And who do you have tonight?
Speaker 1 (57:47):
And the Yankees and the Dodgers matchup seven to eight
is the first pitch. It will be the Dodgers at
Yankee Stadium for the first time since eighty one.
Speaker 2 (57:58):
I believe in the World Series.
Speaker 36 (58:00):
Well, first, I don't want folks to forget that you,
along with everyone else, picked the Yankees to win this
World Series.
Speaker 2 (58:06):
I picked the Dodgers. Thanks for pointing that out.
Speaker 25 (58:09):
I just need everybody I know that I think the Dodgers.
Speaker 2 (58:12):
Going to win this one.
Speaker 36 (58:13):
And my boy j T took the Dodgers as well.
I think the Yankees. I think they're honestly playing as
well as they can. I don't think there's a significant
room for improvement from the Yankees that I think the
Dodgers have just taken every punch the Yankees can throw
at them and delivered their own blows back.
Speaker 26 (58:29):
Right.
Speaker 1 (58:30):
Well, I mean, this is gonna be an opportunity for
both of these teams to see where they are with
the travel coming back to the East Coast, going up
in Yankee Stadium, in the Bronx, where everybody is going
to be riled up.
Speaker 2 (58:44):
I don't see the.
Speaker 1 (58:46):
Sweep by the Dodgers, but a lot of people are
trying to believe that it's going to be a sweep
because you get punched in the face.
Speaker 2 (58:53):
But you look at that Yankee lineup, up and down.
It's the same thing with the Dodgers.
Speaker 1 (58:58):
These are two of the highest paid point payrolls finally
meeting in the Championship and now, I mean yeah, in
the World Series, and both of these teams are ready
for battle. For those that are wondering about show Hail Tani,
he had a sublection sublux of his shoulder, had it
multiple times I have, and he'll be ready to go tonight.
(59:20):
That's why people are looking at him saying you don't
have to steal vases during the World Series. Just make
sure you swing the bat once again. Thanks to everybody
for tuning in. Will be better tomorrow and as always,
don't believe everything you see, because even salt looks like sugar.
Speaker 2 (59:35):
Peace,
