We had upsets on top of upsets this weekend and
that is the reason why Texas is now back to
being the number one team in the nation. Washington defeated
the number ten ranked Michigan Wolverines. The Texas A and

M Fighting Aggies, the number twenty five ranked Aggies at
the time, defeated the number nine ranked Missouri Tagas forty
one to ten.

The game was not even close.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Even though that score looks back, it was worse than
the score could have actually been. With the return of
Connor Wegman, Arkansas defeated the number four ranked Tennessee Volunteers
nineteen to fourteen, and the volunteers believed the people were like,
oh man, they had to hangover, No, they had. The
fact of the matter is they weren't ready. They didn't

come out ready to play. They had a freshman quarterback
making freshman mistakes, didn't turn the ball over, just didn't
give his team a chance to win the game at
the end. But Arkansas looks good in Texas, will end
up playing Arkansas here pretty soon. Minnesota defeated the number
eleventh rank USC Trojans twenty four to seventeen. Is this

something that we need to start looking at with Lincoln Riley.
The teams get up and then they fall down, and
they fall down hard, so they too are having issues
in Minnesota.

first downs, those short yardage passes, making sure that he's open.

Then you have Dalton Schultz stepping up.

Cam Aker scored a touchdown yesterday and I was like,
I didn't even realize cam was even playing still because
he was struggling Like that another weapon that this team has.
But you have to give credit to that defense. That
defense flies to the football. Stingley still making big plays,
making tackles in the open field. Kwame Lassiter came up

and smoked Cook the other day coming out of the backfield.
They were flying to the football and they make play
after play. So it's impressive when you start to look
at this team and where they continue to go. They
are four and one on the season, and they're three
and oher at home. I want to see what they
are capable to do when they hit the row hearts.

defeating the Bengals yesterday on a walk off by guess who,
Justin Tucker, who has been struggling with the long kid
kicks for a while, and they end up winning that

about the Dallas Cowboys and the expectation going into this week.
The expectation was simple. It wasn't a lot to be expected.

The Cowboys were dealing with injuries heading into this ball game.

It was a game in which on the defensive.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Side of the football, DeMarcus Lawrence was going to be out,
Michaeh Parsons was dealing with the high ankle spring. You
had secondary members that have been out as well, and
the Cowboys were just going to try to skate by
and get through Pittsburgh. It was a team that a
lot of folks kept looking at. Mike Tomlin continues to win,

he continues to make things happen, and Justin Justin Fields
had been playing at an elite level, which is why
a lot of folks believe that Justin will be the
starting quarterback moving forward. The other part of it is
when you start to sit back and watch this team
is what is going to happen with that offensive line.

(18:55):
It was an injury that ended up moving Tyler Smith
from left guard to left tackle, and then they brought
back in Bass to play on the offensive line. Ricodoubele
came in as the starting running back. For some reason,
there was a video that was happening because the game
was delayed last night for such a long time. They

were spending time in the locker room showing video and
Zeke was trying to put on his shoulder pad and
it looked like his shoulder was banged up. So that
is why I believe in some of those short yardage plays,
the one on the goal line where they end up
Rico tries to jump over the top and he ends
up fumbling, I believe that, and Dak jumped on top

of that.

But I believe the reason why that happened.

Is because of the fact that Ezekie ol Elliott was injured,
and nobody has talked about it, so we'll probably hear
more about that moving forward, especially now that that video
has been released and a lot of folks didn't know
that Zeke was injured. So now you start looking at
it and you say, Okay, is this now that moment

where you bring up a Dalvin Cook? Because Dalvin Cook
got picked up for a reason and they didn't they
didn't use him last night.

So there's a lot to unpacked.

But one thing that we can always make sure of
that at the end of the game, folks are going
to be critical of what Dak can and can I do.

And the entire time on that drive, they were doing
everything right. The players were called right, the movement was right,
the way that everything was being done was perfect until

one hundred sacks in his career, that fast he's at,

that explosive and just to add a little bit more

have drafted TJ. Watt, but instead they took Taco Charlton
at that pick.

they've been saying about TJ. Watt being on the Pittsburgh

That type of player, and he creates all kinds of problems.
But getting back to Dak Prescott and what he was
able to deliver. For those that say he's not clutch,
it's almost like they say Lebron is not clutch in
those particular moments.

But you go back and you look at his numbers,
he's pretty dog on clutch. Dak Prescott.

That was the twenty third a fourth quarter or overtime
win in his career. He's won behind the Cowboys record
for come from behind victories. So for him to be
able to drive down the field, even though there were
some plays that you're really wondering, like what the heck
is truly going on, this was the way that this

guy figured out. And I was glad to see that
he got that touchdown and for the win, because my
whole thought process was for my boys in k Town,
because I knew if this thing ended badly, they were
gonna go off on me. They weren't gonna talk to me,
they were gonna give me so much crap. But I
got the lab for this week. And now they head

into the to the weekend and they take on the
Detroit Lions who are coming after everybody, and it's gonna
be a tough matchup for them because their defense is good.
But Dak talked about the win after the matchup last night.

Yeah, we had a play call that we love. We're
very confident in regardless of the defense. Offensive line did

all the ups and downs of this game. How were
you guys able to come back despite all that and

But if we just know who we are, we just

It was a Sunday night game, it was raining, but
for them to play the way that they played without
key parts of their team and for them to get
that victory, it was a huge, huge win from from
the Cowboys, especially being on the road. Now they got
to come back home and it's a tough matchup.

I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Looking at what Detroit has been able to do in
this short period of time with them and the consistency
in which they play, the fact that they lost to
the Cowboys on controversial plays before coming back to Dallas
for this matchup this weekend. Yeah, it's gonna be interesting
to see how the Cowboys match up with this team.

Dealing with the injuries in which they have. The Cowboys
are now sitting at three and two. They out gained
yesterday the Pittsburgh Steelers in every category. Every category. You
look at what they were able to do, and they
had four hundred and forty five yards of total offense,
but they did turn the ball over three times. They

had twenty five first downs. Pittsburgh had two hundred and
twenty six yards of total offense first downs. Cowboys controlled
the time of possession. They out gained them on the
ground as well, dack through for three point fifty two
justin fields one thirty one. I mean this entire The

fact of the matter that they kept George Pickens in
check was huge, especially because Jordan Lewis is a guy
that from Michigan, another one of those guys that a
lot of folks didn't see him staying as a Dallas Cowboy,
but then you got a chance to see him go
out there and truly play at a high level. Cowboys

controlled the time of possession passing yards. They did get
penalized a ton, eleven penalties for eighty seven yards. They
fumbled on the goal line where you thought it was
about to be the end of it. Tobert was hurt
before that play, and they luckily there was a timeout

that was called to get him the rest to rally.

And if you go back and look at the route,
he was limping the entire time running those last two routes.

because of the fact that Dak did not finish the drive. Well,

And now the talk is going to be about coming

up this week, the matchup this week against the Lions.
Because you play at home against the Lions, and then
you're on the road against the forty nine ers the Falcons,
and then you're back home against the Texans.

Physical stretch for the Dallas Cowboys that I'm not sure
that they're going to be ready for it because they're

of them. I mean the poison cheese. All of the
wheels around the world that relate to sports talk was
saying good things about everybody, how teams could just walk

in and just beat anybody cheese. Georgia ate it, then
Old miss ate it, and then Tennessee followed up eating it.
And lastly Alabama of all teams ate the poison cheese
and arguably the worst loss in their school's history. Now,

all of this because the poison cheese is associated with
teams on the top of the eight pe pole, in
the coach's pole, Texas is the last.

All the other four teams that I talked about, they

But you sit and you think about this team in
the maturity level in which they have carried the entire time.
Those are the types of things that I believe that
Coach Stark has entrusted into his leaders. Those are the
moments that those guys wherever they were. They might have
been at acl they might have been hanging out watching games,

but the conversations when they got back yesterday was, Hey, guys,
this is the focus that you need to have.

Our goals are still in front of us.

And a lot of those teams that you mentioned their
goals might be in front of them as well. So
you sit and you talk about getting this together and
trying to dive back in.

you sat back and you were glad you were off
that weekend because you got a chance to sit back
and watch we may never see in our lifetime Vanderbilt

A man I was texting with Jalen Gilbert's dad. Jalen
Gilbert played safety the Round Rock product. I was texting
him during the game, and I was like, bruh. He
was doing the same thing because he too understood what
the task was. But he knows that that team is talented.
He knows that Vanderbilt has the skill level to go

out there and compete. But yet you still it's not
like you said twenty eight years you can't walk up okay, Yeah, you.

coach Sark has been able to build, I think the
