Speaker 1 (00:18):
Hey all, welcome back.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Sorry I've been away missed Wednesday's episode severely under the
weather listen. I love Texas, I love Houston. I've lived
here my entire life. I wouldn't ever want to live
anywhere else. I've traveled. Nowhere else compares, in my opinion.
But the one thing that I could do without, if
I could change one thing about Texas, about Houston, it
(00:43):
would one hundred and ten percent be the allergies. Once
about the second week of March hits, I can hardly
go outside, and if I do, I will basically die.
I will get right up on the cusp of dying.
Most dead is the technical medical term, and it takes
me days to recover. So that's why I did not
(01:06):
do an episode on Wednesday. I apologize for that. Uh,
but you know what it is, what it is. We survived.
We got through it heavily medicated. I'm on so many,
so many Antihista memes right now. I can barely keep
my eyes open. But we're here, all right, We're alive.
We've got news, and we're gonna talk about it. Trump
ties for highest approval he's ever had, as more Americans
(01:27):
say US is on the right track than any time
in the last twenty years. That's according to The New
York Post. Now, the New York Post is a more
right wing outlet famously founded by Alexander Hamilton, who personally
I hate, but I like his newspaper. I'll give him
that he had a good newspaper. So all that to say,
New York Post reporting good numbers for Trump isn't necessarily news.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
The news is.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Where they got those numbers. NBC NBC polling is coming
out and saying, hey, Trump is doing a really good job. Now,
remember we've talked about this in the past. Who is
NBC polling. They're pulling their audience. This is a national
NBC news They're reaching out to people who watch and
read NBC, which is a very left leaning outlet. So
(02:12):
you would assume that most people watching and reading NBC
are themselves left leaning, and even those people have to
come out and say, by huge margins, Donald Trump is
doing a pretty good job. Now, fifty four percent of
people in this poll did say that they disapprove of
how he's handling the economy, and that's kind of as
to be expected, because again, this is NBC's audience. I
(02:34):
think it's important that we point out where we're at economically,
because there's been quite a bit of talk about this.
I've talked about this a number of times, but it
bears repeating. We are working on coming out of what
Joe Biden left us. That's not something you can do overnight.
When you make a mess as big as Joe Biden made,
(02:55):
it takes time to fix it.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Right.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Like, imagine if you will, if you've seen Hoarders, that
TV show on TLC. I don't know if it's still around,
but you can go see the highlights on YouTube. If
you haven't seen it, go real quick, just to get
some context, go look up some clips of Hoarders on
YouTube and just watch five.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Minutes of it.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
We are in the situation of the people that go
in and clean the hoarders' homes, right, we are coming in.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
We're seeing the big mess.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Years and years of just disgusting nonsense that has been
going on inside the United States, and now Donald Trump
has just started cleaning it up. This is like if
somebody walked in on the people cleaning up the hoarders'
homes after thirty minutes and said, why haven't you cleaned
this mess up yet? Because we just got here. We've
got mountains of garbage inside this home, mountains of waste
(03:47):
and abuse and economic disaster inside the federal government. You
can't clean that up overnight. That takes a while to
clean up. It's worth pointing to Reagan here. Reagan had
a very up and down kind of first year economically
when he came in after Jimmy Carter, much for the
same reasons. Jimmy Carter had made such a big mess
that it took Ronald Reagan quite a while to actually
(04:10):
clean that up.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
But this is what the left does.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
They point to the fact that Donald Trump didn't magically
fix everything overnight, and they somehow act like that's his fault.
They point to the fact that the stock market had
a just natural correction dropped about ten points after Trump
took office. Turns out, that's actually pretty standard that tends
to happen when a new president takes office. The stock
market has a little bit of a correction, especially when
it was up so high under Joe Biden. That's kind
(04:35):
of what happens when the dollar gets hyper inflated and
people are just being handed down money by the government,
have nothing else to do it, so they all start
buying stocks. People who normally would never buy stocks, but
they just got an extra paycheck for the government, so
they say, screw it.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Why not.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
That causes the stock market to go up. Trump comes
into office. Now you start telling all these investors, hey,
this free money. We're gonna cut that off because that's wasteful.
We're gonna start making some changes that will long term
benefit the U economy. The stock market has a correction,
no big deal, this happens, will be fine, calm down.
But people don't necessarily think like that because this is
their money. That's understandable. I mean, you see, you look
(05:10):
at your money and you've lost, you know, six thousand
dollars overnight your investment portfolio. You don't think about the
fact that, like, hey, you're still up like thirty thousand dollars,
I just lost six thousand. That doesn't really factor in
the fact that you're still up quite a bit. You're
just down a little bit from one particular date. So,
to make a very long story short, we're right about
(05:31):
where we kind of expected to be at this time.
Prices are starting to come down. Believe it or not,
the mainstream media is not going to tell you this notice.
How a couple of weeks ago, it was eggs all day,
every day. The only thing anyone ever talked about was
what about the egg prices? What about the egg prices?
Trump said he was going to fix the prices. He
hasn't fixed the egg prices.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Guess what.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
The egg prices started going down quite a bit, very
quickly because Trump stepped in and started fixing the egg prices.
It just took him a couple of weeks. He started
importing some foreign eggs. He started creating some new procedures
and grants and whatnot for egg farmers. He had a
whole list of things that he had Agriculture Secretary Brook
Grawlin's due to bring down the price of eggs, and
that worked. All of a sudden, the left didn't want
(06:10):
to talk egg prices anymore. The price of crude oil
that's starting to come down too. And it's not just
me saying it. Here's left wing ABC News.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Take a listen.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Finally there are some good news. These are staples in
all of our fridges. A lot of people love eggs,
many of us have them. And finally I have some
good news for you. The USDA says wholesale egg prices
dropped for the third straight week, and it's a pretty
big drop. The average wholesale price nationwide fell to four
fifteen per dozen, so let's put that in perspective. That
is down about two dollars and seventy cents in just
(06:40):
one week. Prices were over eight dollars at the end
of last month.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
So part of the reason for the.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Steep drop is people were put off by those high prices,
so demand is lower. The other reasons, experts say, are
because bird flu outbreaks have decreased, and get this, Easter
is really late this year, so demand isn't that high
right now. However, USDA all also says declines haven't been
reflected at store shelves yet, so you still may see
those higher prices. But experts say consumers should start to
(07:08):
see those prices drop by the time Easter finally rolls around,
just in time to die those Easter eights.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
Now.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Of course, they're not gonna give Trump any credit for that,
but there's the proof right there. Prices are coming down.
This is working again. Nobody thought Trump was gonna come
on to office on January twentieth, and by January twenty first,
everything was gonna be fixed. And if you did think that,
you're stupid. I'm sorry, But what have I been saying
this entire time? Think long term, trust the process. We're
gonna get there. We're making progress already. We're doing pretty well.
(07:36):
Voters are getting what they voted for and they're happy
about it.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
This is good. I'm happy. You should be happy too.
All Right, we got a great show coming up.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
I'm gonna make up for the fact that I was
gone on Wednesday, so I got a lot coming to you.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Stay tuned. We'll be right back.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
All right.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
We have got to talk about these judges.
Speaker 6 (08:16):
Man.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
They have gotten out of control. They have gotten out
of control. And now listen, I'm a big believer in
checks and balances, right. I don't think any one person
in the government should have way too much power. I
think in general, having some judicial oversight of the executive
branch is a good thing that very much played to
(08:37):
our benefit here in Texas throughout the Biden administration. We
want a couple of big lawsuits that allowed us to
secure our border when Joe Biden didn't want to. This,
I think is a very good thing. However, every good
thing can be abused, and recently judicial oversight of the
federal branch has definitely definitely been abuse. And here's how
(09:00):
this has happened. There are a lot of judges, most
of them appointed by the Democrats, specifically Obama, that are
not particularly concerned about the law. They are just concerned
about being activists. Activism has its place. If you want
to be an activist, be an activist. If you want
to be a judge, you have got to put activism
(09:21):
to the side and rule on what the law is. Okay,
Judges have not been doing that recently. They have been
going so far out of their way to find the
most ridiculous little legal loopholes so that they can hamstring
Donald Trump at every turn. And this has gotten frankly ridiculous.
So one case I want to point out to you
is Donald Trump tried to fire a bunch of federal workers.
(09:44):
This is something that a lot of Donald Trump voters wanted.
I wanted this. We have too many federal workers. It
costs our government too much. It really doesn't contribute to
the economy. If you're a federal worker, you don't produce anything.
You're not creating more money that then goes into the economy.
You're taking tax dollars that have been lead off of
other people, and that becomes your paycheck. I don't like that.
I recognize that some federal workers are necessary, and I'm
(10:06):
willing to make peace with that. I agree that we should,
you know, pay our elected representatives. We should maybe pay
their staff so that they can actually, you know, function
in their job. Because it's a difficult job. You need
people around you to help with that. I'm willing to
make peace with a certain number of federal workers in
federal law enforcement. However, the amount of federal employees that
we have has gotten ridiculous. There's too many of them.
(10:29):
Most of them have been sitting on their hands doing
not a darn thing. This is what does has come
in to fix. So Elon Musk has gone in and
he's found people that are doing basically nothing. He's saying, hey,
mister President, here's a bunch of federal workers that are
just wasting money.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
You should fire them.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
So Donald Trump says, Okay, yep, this looks like these
people aren't necessary. We're gonna go ahead and let them
go for the good of the taxpayer. Then what happens
is those workers or a union that represents them or
what have you. We'll all get together and sue the
administration to keep their jobs. Now, what should happen in
that situation is whatever judge that gets this lawsuit says, okay,
(11:04):
this is ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Donald Trump is the president of the United States.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Therefore he is the executive head of the executive branch
of government. He can fire these people because they're executive employees.
He's essentially the CEO of the federal government. CEOs are
allowed to fire their employees. Right, this all makes sense.
What ends up happening, because that's not what's happening. What's
happening is these groups that are bringing these lawsuits will
(11:28):
go find some random federal district judge, usually one that's
appointed by a Democrat, namely Obama. They'll file their lawsuit
in that particular court so it gets seen by that
particular judge that they know will go so far out
of their way to overrule Donald Trump on anything. And
that's what's happened here. A bunch of probationary workers that
(11:48):
Donald Trump had let go had sued, and that lawsuit
came before US District Judge James Bredder, who has ordered
that the layoffs be paused and the workforce that Trump
fired be returned to their jobs, essentially returned to the
status quo before Trump ordered the layoffs. That is ridiculous.
These are probationary employees. Anyone who's ever had a job
(12:10):
knows what being a probationary employee is. When you first
get hired, there's a probationary period where you can just
be let go at any time for any reason. And
after you get there for a while, then you start
to become like a full fledged employee and you get
some of the traditional sections that are afforded to normal employees.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
I've worked several jobs.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
I've had a probationary period for every single one of them,
and in every single one, I recognize that, Hey, at
any moment, I could walk in and they'll tell me
to turn around and walk out. Thankfully they haven't. I
like to think that's because I'm a good employee who knows.
Now there are laws that protect full time employees of
the federal government once they get off probation, right, you
have to go through this type of process to fire
(12:49):
this type of people for this type of reason. Those
I think generally are a good thing because if you're
going to give someone a job, you should, you know,
allow them to rely on that a little bit. I
think that's fair, maybe within reason case by case, but
the concept I agree with. But these are probationary employees, Okay,
the law allows them to be terminated at any given time.
This is clear judicial overreach and it's getting ridiculous. This
(13:14):
is honestly one of the more minor cases of this
judicial overreach. What's really crazy is I believe this was.
On Sunday, a federal district judge ordered Trump to return
planes that were full of Trende Aragua members that were
being deported to El Salvador. We have a deal cut
(13:34):
with El Salvador. They have a supermax prison for gang members,
and they're allowing us to store our illegal immigrants. There
are Trendy Aragua members, the worst of the worst. Thank
you El Salvador for that, by the way, love you guys.
So we packed up a bunch of these illegal aliens
that we had caught, these actual gang members, rapists and murderers.
We threw them all some planes, we sent them to
(13:56):
El Salvador. And then the next thing you know, some
random Joe judge had ordered those planes to be turned
around and returned to the United States. Just so you
fully understand what has happened here. We arrested a bunch
of criminal gang members who entered the country illegally, put
them on a plane, sent them to another country that
(14:17):
is probably many of their home countries to be stored
in a prison, and then a federal judge told Donald
Trump to bring them back.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
What the hell?
Speaker 2 (14:27):
How does that benefit anybody? This is the most insane
thing I've ever heard in my life. We've got district judge,
random unelected district judges who have the power to completely
overrule the president on deporting illegal aliens who in many
cases are violent criminals on top of already being criminals
(14:48):
by entering the country illegally, which, despite what the Left
will tell you, that is a criminal offense. You are
not allowed to do that. In some cases, it's a
felony if you've done it multiple times. They keep trying
to say it's a civil offense. That's ridiculous. We're staying
a visa is a civil offense, but entering the country
illegally that is a criminal offense. This is something the
vast majority of American support, and a federal judge is
(15:08):
just trying to overrule that. Now, thankfully Trump ignored that order.
That plane was not returned, that landed, they went into
El Salvador in custody. It was really funny because Naibukele,
who's the president of El Salvador, just posted on his
Twitter right after that ruling came out a picture of
those illegal aliens being frog marched into the prison and said, Oops,
that's the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life.
(15:28):
So we're starting to get to the point of Donald
Trump just saying, Okay, this is ridiculous. I have the
authority to do the things that I'm doing. These are
things that the American people want me to do. I'm
not going to pay attention to these judges. And as predicted,
the left is losing their mind over this. This is
a video from Project Liberal. I've never heard of this before,
but I saw it on Monday, So take a listen
to this.
Speaker 5 (15:46):
There's two aspects to this Trump administration ignoring a court
order story that I really think people need to talk
more about. The first one being that Donald Trump's administration
is basically arguing that they didn't have to turn the
planes around because it was over international waters. Let me
ask you something about this. If there were American citizens
on board that plane, you're telling me that a federal
judge couldn't have ordered that plane to turn around. What
(16:09):
kind of world is this that the presidency of the
United States is arguing that they can take American citizens
and as long as that plane is over international waters,
they could do whatever they want with them.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
All right, let me stop you right there. That's not
what the administration us arguing. There were no American citizens
on that plane. There are illegal aliens. They're not supposed
to be here. We have an agreement with El Salvador
to take people that are supposed to be here and
drop them off there, and then what else Salvador does
with them is El Salvador's business. These aren't American citizens.
It's not our job to take care of them. It's
not they're not supposed to be in our country. We
sent them to another country that said, hey, we'll take them,
(16:39):
and so we said, okay, what else Salvador does with
them is El Salvador's business.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
I frankly couldn't care less. I really couldn't.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
I don't care, and I would remind all of these
leftists that are upset about this. This is the door
that you opened. Just months ago, y'all were saying that
Joe Biden should ignore Supreme Court orders saying he can't
hand out student loan forgiveness. Here's aoc making that exist.
Speaker 7 (17:00):
I believe that the Biden administration should ignore this ruling.
I think that we know the courts have the legitimacy,
and they rely on the legitimacy of their rulings, and
what they are currently doing is engaged in an unprecedented
and dramatic erosion of the legitimacy of the courts. It
(17:24):
is the justices themselves, through the deeply partisan and unfounded
nature of these rulings, that are undermining their own enforcement.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
Yeah, don't come crying to me about the fact that
Donald Trump ignored this ridiculous court order when y'all were
literally begging on national television for Joe Biden to do
the same thing months ago.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
You made this bed. Now lie in it.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
This is the precedent that you set, and now we're
going to use it to the benefit of the United
States of America. And if you have a problem with it,
cry about it. Copenseed get on the internet and complain.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
We're going to keep.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Getting things done, all right, stay tuned, we'll bear it back,
all right. We talked about this a little bit last Saturday.
(18:17):
I think it's worth talking about again because it hasn't stopped,
and arguably it's gotten worse, this vandalism, and it's gone
from vandalism to you know, violence and arguably terrorism of
Tesla vehicles, Tesla dealerships, anything Tesla, anything that's associated with
Elon Musk is now at risk of being like firebombed
(18:41):
by some crazy leftist. It's a really weird problem. It's
a really weird position for the left to take. And
we talked about this, Like I said last week, it's
very weird that all of the sudden, the left is
the party that justifies domestic violence, domestic terrorism.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
That's fine for them.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Now why because you don't lock the founder of a
company because I disagree with the politics of Elon Musk,
I can go destroy the private property of other people,
putting lives at risk.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
And again the left cheers this on.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
It's not like the left is just you know, kind
of winking and nodding at it, like they did with
the VLM protests. They're like openly celebrating it. Like there's
clips of Jimmy Kimmel talking about this. He's like, oh,
tesla's are being destroyed and firebombed, and the audience cheers,
They go nuts. They support it wholeheartedly. First of all,
(19:37):
that's the private property of somebody. If you see a
tesla on the street that somebody has bought and relies
on for their daily transportation and just destroys it, that's disgusting.
Chances are they have an outstanding a loan on that,
because most cars are purchased with a loan, right, So
you're screwing somebody out of a bunch of money that
they owe to somebody else. On top of that, you
(19:58):
have no idea how much they were on that vehicle.
You have to get to work, you have to get home,
you have to travel around. Vehicles are incredibly important to
anyone who owns one. But as long as you don't
like the politics of the person who made that car,
you're allowed to destroy it. Chances are they're probably getting
leftists too. It's probably some leftist tesla that they bought
before they decided they didn't like Elon Musk. And now
(20:19):
you're wrecking it. That's friendly fire. Here's Joe Rogan talking
about this. He brought up the fact they're like, hey,
these used to be the cars that leftist love, but
now they flipped overnight and now they're the cars that
leftists love to destroy.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
Take a listen.
Speaker 6 (20:31):
People are just trying to distort a narrative. You're seeing
that right now with Elon Right. You're seeing people justify
violence and extreme vandalism, and you're seeing people cheer it on.
And it's very strange. There was a thing on The
Daily Show where the host was talking about the attacks
(20:52):
on Tesla and people king people's and the audience starts
clapping and cheering.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
It's so strange.
Speaker 6 (20:59):
It's so strange, and it's also just shows you how
positions just completely flip flop. Like the Tesla used to
be the car that you drove to let everybody know
that you were environmentally conscious and you were a good leftist.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
It's a good question do we care about the environment
or not?
Speaker 5 (21:14):
Because those fumes that are being kicked out of that
that's not good.
Speaker 6 (21:17):
A thousand jet airplanes flying overhead for a year, Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's wide lighting batteries on fire, they're so toxic.
Speaker 5 (21:27):
Lithium and getting pissed into the environment.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
Oh, it's all gonna come down and rain, it's gonna
pollute the water, the fish. You're gonna be polluted. You're
not gonna be able to eat.
Speaker 5 (21:34):
We're doing good. This is for a righteous cause. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Rogan makes a very good point there. It demonstrates how
truly performative leftism really is. They talk so much about
how they care about the environment, and then they set
a lithium battery on fire. You think that's good for
the environment, You think that's healthy. Go look at a
lithium mine. Tell me that's healthy for the environment. And
then show me setting a lithium battery on fire and
(21:58):
tell me that's healthy from the environment. It's ridiculous. It's
absolutely ridiculous. It's all performative. They used to be the
group that was like, we just need to love everybody,
be nice to people. Okay, is it nice to set
somebody's car on fire? No, But that's what happened. There's
a video.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
This happened, I believe on I think.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Tuesday, a massive fire broke out at a tested dealership,
And I say broke out. Somebody started it. They went
and firebomb to test the dealership in Las Vegas. They
set a bunch of these tessels on fire, and there's
videos of them exploding right in front of the building.
They're in the parking lot. There's fires raging. It looks
like a war zone. But it's not a war zone.
(22:37):
It's some crazy leftist went and set these cars on
fire because they have a bone to pick with Elon Musk. Politically,
it's unbelievable, and like Rogan pointed out, they're cheering it on,
they support it, they love it. It's insane. I have
never seen leftists go so far out of their way
to justify violence. Even this goes beyond BLM. It wasn't
(22:59):
this during BLM, you know, when they were like setting
houses on fire, destroying businesses. The argument then was, okay, well,
you have to understand these people are really mad about
the perceived injustice of George Floyd's death. They weren't necessarily
justifying the action, but they were saying, well, you got
to understand where they're coming from. That's one thing they're
(23:21):
not even saying, well, you got to understand these people
are mad about Elon Musk. They're saying This is an
objectively good action in and of itself, which is a
step farther than they took it with George Floyd. Unbelievable.
It's unreal that we live in this reality and leftists,
for whatever reason, can't understand why conservatives don't like this.
That's even crazier, like in the mind of a leftist,
(23:42):
they truly don't see the difference between blowing up a
car in a parking lot and simply not buying a
product from a particular company. I saw this meme. This
is by Alex Cole. I don't know if it's by him.
I don't know if he made the meme, but he
reposted it. He's a pretty popular left wing account on Twitter.
He posted this meme and it was a you know,
(24:03):
just a crying guy in a Maga hat saying boycott
bud Light, then a crying guy in a Maga haatt
saying boycott Target, then a crying guy in a Maga
hat saying boycott the NFL, and then a guy saying
boycott Tesla. And that same crying guy in the Maga
hat just like losing his mind. That's what they think
is happening here. I don't know, if it's like wilful ignorance,
(24:24):
they're intentionally not paying attention to the fact that cars
are being blown up, or they actually think that blowing
up a car and choosing not to buy a car
are effectively the same thing. Because I mean, as this
meme correctly points out, conservatives have very effectively used Boycott's right.
We boycotted bud Light so hard that they had to
completely reverse course on having Dylan mulvaney, a creepy trans dude,
(24:49):
be their spokesperson, and they instead went to Post Malone
and Shane Gillis.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Well done, good work.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
We boycotted them so hard that they completely switched directions
and we got what we wanted out of it. Now,
let me ask you this, how many liquor stores were
shot up by conservatives because they sold bud Light there. Now,
we had influencers on the right that would buy cans
of bud Light, take them to their own private property,
(25:16):
and then shoot them for fun.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Nobody was at.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
Any danger there. That's essentially the same as shooting a
can of doctor Pepper with a bbie gun. That's an
instance of I purchased a product that I don't necessarily like.
With my money. I took it to my private property
where no one else was in danger, and then I
shot it. Okay, And again, this isn't something that's going
to like destroy the environment by blowing it up like
a Tesla battery will. This is literally just a can
(25:41):
of beer that somebody put a five to five to
six through. Nobody cares about that because it's not putting
anything at risk and it's not doing any damage to
anyone else's private property. But in the minds of leftist
those were exactly the same. Shooting a can of bud
light on your private ranch is exactly the same as
blowing up another person's car. Are you crazy? And the
(26:03):
answer is yes, they are crazy. The left is crazy now,
thankfully right now, as of right now, this has just
been property damage. But as Matt Walsh pointed out, we
are headed very rapidly towards actual physical violence against a person.
Somebody is gonna wind up dying because of this, because
as this goes on, and as this gets encouraged, these
(26:24):
leftists are becoming more and more emboldened. They've gone from
just you know, attacking cars sitting in a parking lot
at a dealership to forcing people driving Teslas onto the
side of the road and then walking up to their
window and yelling at them for driving Teslas. You do
this to the wrong person, you're gonna get shot. Take
a listen to this Fox report about this.
Speaker 8 (26:42):
I was thankfully about myself.
Speaker 9 (26:43):
Lee was on the way to a doctor's appointment in
Lynnwood Wednesday morning when she says, all of a sudden,
a driver behind her just laid on the horn as
they came up to a red light. Things spiraled out
of control when a white SUV followed her and cut
her off, stopping in the middle of the road.
Speaker 8 (26:59):
Gets out straight up to my door window. So I
cracked my window and I said, what what is for
the problem? He goes, you need to sell your car.
This is a Nazi car.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
You're driving it.
Speaker 8 (27:12):
You need to sell your car.
Speaker 9 (27:14):
Lisas she's been driving a Tesla for the last two years.
She says, a man wearing a camouflage jacket and a
ski mask attacked her for it.
Speaker 8 (27:21):
It's really sad that this is what's happening to people
who honestly, it doesn't affect how I believe or what
I believe. Just the car drive in Seattle of his
climate's important. Our footprint is important. This seemed like the
right move for our very busy family.
Speaker 9 (27:39):
This, however, isn't the first incident or ACTI vandalism reported.
We've seen attack after attack after attack. Tesla's set a
blaze at the Las Vegas service center earlier this week,
with the culprit leaving behind the word resists. In Oregon,
shots were fired at a dealership, and in Massachusetts, charging
stations were torched. These incidents have only intensified since CEO
(28:02):
Elon Musk has taken a prominent role in the Trump administration.
While slashing government jobs and spending.
Speaker 8 (28:08):
Felt so intentional, felt exactly what he was there to do.
Speaker 9 (28:15):
There was even a website now taken down, sharing the
personal information of Tesla owners to pressure them to sell
their vehicles.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
And you will not see a single Democrat condemn this.
You won't, at least not any prominent ones.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
The online left.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
They love this, they're cheering this on. But listen, this
is gonna get somebody hurt. You forced the wrong person
onto the side of the road and then approach their
car in a threatening manner. There might be some extra
holes in you by the time that confrontation is done.
But they're gonna keep cheering this on. They're going to
keep pushing this past the breaking point.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
Why. I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
It makes no sense, it's not in your best interest.
It's not and it's not gonna win you votes either.
You should stop it, but you won't. All right, stay tuned,
we'll bear it back. Alrighty, Let's talk about the Department
(29:27):
of Education, the soon to be late Department of Education.
Trump is in the process of killing it. It's gonna
take some time, make no mistake. He's signed this big
executive order I think on Friday. This is not going
to be like the one fell swoop that ends the
Department of Education. Unfortunately, because the Department of Education was
(29:50):
established by Congress, it will take an Act of Congress
to actually formally kill it. But something that I've talked
a lot about with Coridangelis, who's a big school choice guy.
You can rea a lot of our conversations with him
at ktah dot com. He's been very open about the
fact that what Trump can do is go in and
kind of give it just death by a thousand cuts,
just basically destroy the department from the inside out, and
(30:12):
then just hanging around and wait for the GOP to
have a strong enough majority to actually abolish the Department.
It's gonna take time because this is something that's so
ingrained into American society. You say, hey, we're gonna get
rid of the Department of Education, and people lose their
minds over it. They don't understand you want to destroy
public schools. Yeah, kind of I do, but that's just
(30:33):
my personal opinion. But that's not even what getting rid
of the Department of Education will do. There's this kind
of perception that if you don't have a Department of Education,
the public schools will shut down.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
Here's the hard truth.
Speaker 2 (30:45):
Most public schools are run on a state by state,
if not district by district level. The only thing that
the Department of Education really does is distribute money and
suggest quote unquote suggest policies. Well, guess what, All of
that money can be distributed by other entities. And we
really don't need the federal government suggestions on how we
should be running public schools because their suggestions are freaking horrible.
(31:08):
And I mean the proof is in the pudding here.
Americans worldwide education ranking has fallen off a cliff since
the Department of Education was founded. That wasn't founded until
Jimmy Carter, by the way, so for a very long time,
America had very high education numbers. Our test scores were
really good. We were considered a smart nation. The Department
of Education was founded, and then immediately we tanked. That
(31:30):
to me is a sign that maybe we should take
a closer look at what we're doing. Let's maybe change
some things up. But no, the leftist will continue to say, no,
we need to do the same thing we've been doing
for forty years, even though it's clearly not working. That's
their whole argument here, all right, take a listen to
Trump's Press Secretary Caroline Levitt basically explaining, Look, here's what
we're doing, and here's why we're doing it. With this
(31:52):
executive order that basically tells Linda McMahon, who's the Education secretary,
to destroy the Department of Education from the ensie.
Speaker 4 (32:01):
President Trump is not failing America's children. He is saving
America's children with this action that he will take later
today directing Linda McMahon, our great Secretary of Education, to
dismantle this federal bureaucracy that has taken more than three
trillion dollars from the American taxpayer since its inception in
(32:21):
nineteen seventy nine. And what have we had as a
result of that investment in our children's education Declining test
scores in reading, writing, and math proficiency levels at record
lows for eighth graders, for fourth graders, at every level
in every state across this country. That's why the President
is returning education back to the people, to those closest
(32:43):
to our students in our classrooms, and that is teachers
and educators and parents who know what is best for
their children. And we are excited about this event that
will be here later at the in the afternoon at
the White House. We will have parents and educators and
students and also governors from across the country who are
excited to embrace this new responsibility of educating our nation's children.
(33:04):
I will add one more point. The Department of Education
has never educated a child. All has ever done is
stolen money from the taxpayers for more regulation that has
hurt our children's education. And it's about time a president
does something about it. And thank god, President Trump is.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
She's exactly right.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
It's worth pointing out here some of the things that
the Department of Education has actually been up to those
back in February, pointed out that they had terminated a
Department of Education DEI training grant totally about fifteen million dollars.
One of the institutions had previously hosted facility workshops entitled
Decolonizing the Curriculum. So basically what this is, what the
(33:44):
Department of Education has been doing is taking federal taxpayer
dollars and saying, hey, if you push these particular ideologies.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
We will give you this money.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
That's what they've been doing. They're not actually educating anybody,
they're not making your kids smarter. They're basically using your
own tax payer dollars to push ideology that's directly opposed
to your own ideology on your children.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
That's bad. That should not be allowed to continue. We
should stop that. Now.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
That's just the beginning. It gets worse. According to Dose,
the Department of Education spent over a billion dollars promoting
DEI A billion dollars, including four hundred and eighty nine
million and then some for race based hiring. That should
be illegal, right, you don't want race based hiring. That
used to just be called discrimination, But I guess leftists
(34:33):
like that now as long as you're discriminating against white
people three hundred and forty three million, and then some
for DEI programming. God only knows what that means, but
that's probably more ridiculous curriculums that basically just say, look
how terrible white people are for settling America one hundred
and sixty nine million, and then some for DEI mental
health initiatives. That can't be anything good. That's unbelievable, frankly,
(34:57):
But listen, this is the kind of crap that they
have been pushed for years. And our education numbers are
the proof, right, Our education numbers here in the United
States are horrible, and I would submit to you that's
because of the Department of Education, and not in spite
of it. So it's good that it's going. It's gonna
go slowly again, It'll take time. I think the methodology
here is we basically got the Department of Education so
(35:19):
that it's doing essentially nothing, and then as things improve
and people sort of get out of this mindset that
if you don't have the Department of Education, nobody will
ever get educated. Once that goes away, we can start
building support in Congress to actually completely formally eliminate the
Department of Education. Again, this will take time, but it's
good that it's happening. The processes are beginning here, and
(35:43):
that's a good thing. Nevertheless, the left is going to
lose their mind about it. They're gonna complain, they're gonna
act like it's doomsday. They're not really gonna cite any
examples of why this is super important because they can't.
They don't have any. This is something that Becky Weiss
pointed out. She's somebody that's again another very active on
ex influencer. She basically did this sketch where it's her
(36:03):
arguing with herself as a leftist explaining, Okay, here's why
dismantling the Department of Education actually isn't that bad.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
Take a listen to this.
Speaker 10 (36:11):
Trump dismantling the Department of Education is going to have
horrific implications. So I actually think this is going to
be super beneficial for us.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
But like, what are your concerns?
Speaker 10 (36:19):
Kids are gonna lose access to their breakfast in lunch programs.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
Yeah, that's huge.
Speaker 10 (36:23):
The kids have to eat, but thankfully that's already funded
by the Department of Agriculture. Okay, but what about the
special needs children? What about the children who need IEPs
in special education services? What about them?
Speaker 5 (36:34):
Super important?
Speaker 10 (36:35):
And I fully agree with you that we need to
protect these children. However, all of that is being moved
to the Department of Health and Human Services, so none
of that is going away whatever, But what about the
grants and scholarships.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
What about the PELL grants?
Speaker 5 (36:47):
Where are those going to come from?
Speaker 10 (36:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (36:48):
Absolutely, you know, I was.
Speaker 10 (36:50):
On a pelgrant myself, and I understand the importance of
having these grants and scholarships available. But thankfully all of
that is being transferred to the Department of Treasury. Whatever.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
Okay, we need more.
Speaker 10 (37:00):
Funding, not less. You know, more money is just it's
not always the answer. Interestingly enough, adjusted for inflation, even
the Department of Education's budget has grown from fourteen billion
to eighty billion in recent years, while student outcomes have
actually gotten worse. Not just that, but nationwide, less than
thirty two percent of our children are proficient in reading
and less than thirty one percent are proficient in math.
(37:23):
The system is failing our children.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
It's time for it to go.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
This is exactly right. The Department of Education is doing
far more bad than good. The good that it is
doing can be done by somebody else, which makes the
Department of Education redundant at best. And if you have
a redundant agency, that's just costing the tax payer money
that needs to be done away with. Redundancy in the
government is always bad, always, unless there's some crazy exception
(37:49):
that I didn't know about. But yeah, it's not doing
what it's supposed to do. It's not making kids smarter,
it's just wasting tax payer money. We need to change
things up. Our kids are frankly stupid. This is a
widely recognized problem in the United States, but if you
point it out, you're the bad guy. Listen, why are
we so stuck on doing the same thing even though
we know it doesn't work. That's the definition of insanity, right,
(38:12):
doing something even though it's not working, trying the same
thing again and again and again, hoping for a different result.
We've had forty years of the Department of Education. Where's
it gott in us nowhere? It's time to switch things up.
Let's at least discuss solutions to these problems, rather than
saying the fact that this isn't working is exactly why
we need to keep going.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
That's literally what leftists on.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Twitter are doing, right now they're pointing to examples of
like typos and spelling errors and saying this is why
we shouldn't destroy the Department of Education. No, that's exactly
why we should. Clearly it's not working. Let's try something
else now. The Department of Education had its chance for
forty years.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
It failed.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
All right, that's all I've got for you this week.
I'll try to be back on Wednesday. Hopefully I don't
almost die again of allergies. Thank you very much for listening.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
You next week,
