Speaker 1 (00:17):
And we are back. What is up, ladies and gentlemen,
how are we? I'm doing great. We are cruising along.
Actually with these cabinet confirmations for Donald Trump, it's actually
it feels like it's slow, right. I think a lot
of people are sort of getting to the point where like, Okay,
what's the hold up, Come on, Senate, let's push these
(00:39):
people through. What's taking so long? Actually turns out, and
I looked at a chart because I was feeling this
way too. I was like, there's no way, this is
the only time this has taken this long. This is
actually apparently pretty fast for Senate confirmations, which actually surprised
me because, like I already said, it feels like it's
taking forever, but it's not. Apparently this is really fast.
(01:00):
I found this chartist on Fox News, and it basically
just shows the the pace at which each of the
last three administrations Trump won, Biden, and Trump two had
confirmed each person. So like, for example, by January twenty sixth,
Biden's administration had had four of its cabinet picks confirmed,
So it goes up to February fourth. So as of
(01:23):
February fourth of this year, Trump two had eleven of
his confirmations in. Now, let's compare that to the Biden administration,
who on February second of this would have been twenty
twenty one, he only had six people in. So we're
up significantly. I mean Trump's first term only had six
as well. Donald Trump is already at eleven. So it's
(01:44):
actually moving way faster than it feels like. So to
all the people that are sort of getting disheartened, getting angry,
why is this taking so long? What's going on? Trump
needs his cabinet. I'm with you. I feel those feelings.
It's not as bad as we think it is. Okay,
let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's not freak out
about anything. We're moving at a steady pace. This is
(02:05):
a productive pace. Is it as productive as it could be? No,
but nothing's going to be perfect. And you know, as
far as everything goes, this is pretty good. This is
pretty good. And remember this chart only goes up to
February fourth, so we've had a few confirmations since then,
namely RFK Junior. RFK Junior finally got his confirmation. That
was pretty great to see. His confirmation vote ended up
(02:28):
coming in almost completely party line, which I mean, that's
good that most of the Republicans have gotten on board.
And I say almost because wouldn't you know it, Turtle,
Mitch McConnell voted against confirming RFK Junior, Shock of Shocks.
I know, but he's done this consistently at this point.
He's voted against Pete Hegseeth, Tulsi Gabbert, and RFK Junior.
(02:51):
At this point, I don't understand why he has no
logic for this. Honestly, I don't understand why he's still
in the Senate. Kentucky. What are y'all doing? Why do
you all keep electing this guy? He's basically dead. He
is the Republican Joe Biden. Every time there's a confirmation vote,
you see a video of him being rolled into the
Senate floor in a wheelchair, And every time he's asked
(03:13):
a question, he just zones out and freezes. It's like
when you're watching Netflix and the screen just freezes and
you see that little spinning buffering logo. It's just loading.
You can actually see that logo in Mitch McConnell's eyes
if you pause and zoom in. It's right there. It's
where the pupils should be. You can actually see the
(03:34):
Netflix buffering logo and then they just wheel him out.
It's insane, and a lot of people have been using
this as an argument for term limits. I don't think
it's a term limit question. I think it's you know,
maybe we need to be cognitively checking these people, or
maybe Republicans in Kentucky just need to vote better because
this guy clearly is not in line with the Republican priorities.
(03:55):
I don't know why he's running as a Republican. I
don't know why he's still at office. He should have
been voted out his last term. But that's neither here
nor there. So all that to say, forgive me, I'm
doing the Trump weave. All that to say, RFK Junior
has been confirmed, and I want to reiterate a point
that I've made before. I think it's important to remind
people RFK Junior has been put into one specific place
(04:18):
to do one specific thing. There are a lot of
people that have concerns about the fact that he has
a very long, proud history as a Democrat, and he
has been very in line with a lot of Democrat
priorities that entire time. People are worried about his stance
on abortion. People are worried about his stance on the
oil industry, and those are all valid concerns. But I
would remind you he's not put into a position where
(04:40):
he can actually do anything on either of those fronts. Okay,
look at where he is and what the job he's
been assigned to do is. He's the Health and Human
Services Secretary. He's going to be going after big pharma,
the people that have been pushing vaccine mandates, the people
that have been pushing drugs that may or may not
be safe. That's what he's going after, all right. He
(05:02):
has a very specific job description, and his very specific
job description is something that almost every conservative is in
line with. We should all be celebrating this. Here's RFK
Junior talking about on Fox News what his actual mandate is.
And it's hard to look at this and say I
don't want this person in this job. Take a listen.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
We are four point two percent of the world's population.
We buy seventy percent of the pharmaceutical drugs on Earth.
We spend two to three times while other countries pay
for healthcare, and we have the worst health outcomes. We
literally have the biggest population in the world. Those are
the people that got us there. We do need a break.
We need somebody different who can come in and say
(05:47):
I'm going to be a disruptor. I'm not gonna let
the food industry, in the pharmaceutical industry run health policy anymore.
We're gonna make We're gonna turn health policy over to
people who are actually concerned with public health.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
That's a great answer. America is very unhealthy. This is
an objective fact. Anyone can see this. Walk into a
walmart and tell me where a healthy country. Look at
the people in the walmart and tell me where a
healthy country. Look at the products that they're selling you
in the walmart, and tell me we are a healthy country.
This is something that has to be addressed. If RFK
Junior is willing to focus in and walk in on
(06:22):
this issue and still disagree with Trump on a lot
of other things, still disagree with Conservatives and Republicans on
a lot of other things, but he's committed to solving
this problem, I say go for it, because we have
systems in place to keep him in line. You think
if RFK Junior starts going after oil or something, Trump
isn't going to fire him because remember, Trump can fire
cabinet level officials. He did it quite a bit during
(06:44):
his first term. We had like four different Defense secretaries
because Trump kept firing them. So to all the conservatives
that are concerned about RFK Junior being in this position,
I hear you. I'm with you. If it was any
other administration, if it was anybody else, I would share
those concerns. But I think the risk reward here balances
out pretty nicely. Right, we want to be healthy again.
(07:06):
RFK Junior has been very consistent on this message. I
think he's earned our trust for a little bit. And
you know, if he goes back on that, if he
starts doing stuff he shouldn't be doing, we'll call him
on it, we'll get him out of there. But for now,
let's let him go in. Let's let him look at
all the data that they've been hiding from us for years.
Let's let him expose all that data. I mean, he's
about to go do to the health industry and health
(07:28):
and human services, what Elon Musk is doing with every
other part of the government right now. I think that
is one hundred percent worth the risk. Let's figure out
what they've been trying to hide from us about all
the chemicals that they've been putting in our bodies for years.
I don't see a downside to this. And if there's
one layer down the line, we'll cross that bridge when
we come to it. All right, we got a great
(07:49):
show coming up. Stay tuned. We will be right back
after this quick break. All right, Border update time, my
(08:16):
favorite time of day.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Let's go. All right.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
We talked a little bit in the last episode about
the problem that we've had with border operations ICE operations
being leaked to Trende Ragua, two different gangs, to the cartels,
et cetera, et cetera huge problem. I think we can
all agree on that law enforcement operations, legal authorized, important
law enforcement operations should not be leaked to cartels. That's bad, right,
(08:43):
Borderline treason is probably treason. It's probably treason. If you
didn't hear that, go back and listen to it in
the last episode. It's very important that we be up
to date about this because, like I said, it's very important.
That's worth repeating. This is putting the lives of both
people inside communities and the law enforcement officers trying to
(09:04):
keep those communities safe. This is putting their lives at risk,
and it's a problem. It's got to stop. Thankfully, Pambondy,
our new Attorney General, is taking pretty swift action on this.
She's like, listen, we are not going to tolerate this.
We will not stand for it. We're gonna find you,
investigate you. No matter where it came from, you will
be prosecuted. Here she is saying that, and I guess
(09:25):
this is a DOJ press briefing. I'm not really sure
what event this was, but here is Attorney General Pambondy
talking about this.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
The great men and women in law enforcements standing behind
me today. They deserve they must be protected. At any
time anyone leaks or tips off anything regarding the pending
investigation that jeopardizes lives. You're telling a bad guy what's
about to happen. It could jeopardize the lives of all
(09:55):
the men and women in law enforcement. We will not
stand for it. We will finds you. We're going to
investigate it, no matter what agency it came from. We
don't know for certain. We have an open investigation, so
I can't talk about it in detail, but we will
do everything in our power to hold you accountable. And
it is a crime, and you will be prosecuted.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
When we find you.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Take notes. She did not say if we find you,
she said when. This is why I like her. She
is locked in on this issue because, I mean, right now,
as far as I'm concerned, this is the biggest issue
for the attorney General period, bar none. We've got a
lot of different lawsuits going on against the Trump administration,
trump administration actions, that's something that the Attorney General will
(10:39):
and should be involved in. You have staffers for that stuff.
You need to focus on this. I mean, this is
the definition of the deep state, right, It's not a
conspiracy theory anymore. For years, Republicans have talked about the
deep state. Conservatives have talked about the deep state, and
we always got laughed off. You're being ridiculous. You're just
mad because the government's doing things you don't like. The
president is in control of his administration. Okay, we're seeing
(11:02):
now for the first time, very clearly, very plainly, that no,
that is not the case. The president is not in
control of his administration and hasn't been for some time.
It's left wing activists inside the government. That's what we
mean when we say deep state. And I don't know
why they're going all the way out now, because it's
just exposing themselves. People inside the deep State have effectively
(11:25):
demonstrated to the entire world that yes, the deep State
is real, and now we know we can clearly see
it in Our Attorney General is going to find you
and she's going to punish you because you're putting people
at risk and that's not okay. So there's your little
update about the people that are interfering with the ICE operations.
What about the ICE operations themselves, They've been busy here
(11:46):
in Houston. Fox News actually embedded with ICE here in Houston,
my home city, and this is the report that they
aired about those operations. Take a listen to this. This
is really interesting and important stuff. And I got to say,
as a Houstonian, I feel better knowing that this is
going on, especially when we look back and we see
(12:06):
what happened last year with Jocelyn Nungray and any number
of other tragic cases. If you think that's the only
crime that illegal aliens have committed here in the city
of Houston, you're wrong. That's just the one that got
the most headlines, as it should have. But thank the
Good Lord in heaven. The moment Donald Trump came into office,
they got busy. Here take a listen to this Fox
News report.
Speaker 6 (12:28):
Hi, Hairasia, We got this exclusive look at the day
to day operations here in Houston. There is so much
that goes into these arrests. The ICE officers tell me
they have a target list of thousands of illegal migrants.
They have to filter through that list, then they conduct
surveillance for days, and then they have to wait for
the perfect moment to make an arrest because they want
to do it in a safe way or no one
(12:49):
in the.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Community is heard.
Speaker 7 (12:52):
Right now, we have eyes on in the target's house.
If it's fair game to say that he will be
moving soon.
Speaker 6 (12:57):
Fox News exclusively embeds with ICE enforcement and Removal operations
officers in Houston, getting an inside look as officers strategize
their targets for the day.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Let's do a joleen, stay safe.
Speaker 6 (13:09):
The first target and illegal migrant who officers have been
watching for days.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
Target's coming out the house.
Speaker 6 (13:17):
According to ICE, he's from Mexico and was previously removed
from the US after being convicted of alien smuggling.
Speaker 7 (13:24):
For the worst of the worst, the gang members of
the Violent Criminals and things of that nature. That's what
we're all focused on.
Speaker 6 (13:31):
The next on their list a a llegal migrant from
l Salvador who has already been deported from the US twice.
Speaker 5 (13:38):
Let me see the order or something vehicle.
Speaker 6 (13:41):
According to ICE, he has a criminal conviction for indecency
and exposure to a child's Well.
Speaker 7 (13:46):
We're not looking to out there and scare or terrorized communities.
We're looking to make these communities safer. These folks, criminals
like this individual here, they're victimizing those same communities. Nobody
wants those folks in our communities.
Speaker 6 (13:56):
On the same day, FBI Houston arrested two suspects linked
to the trend. Air Ragua gang Ero agents collaborating more
than ever with federal agencies like HSI atf CBP and
the FBI with a renewed focus on targeting illegal criminal aliens.
Speaker 7 (14:13):
Big white here, and they put their lives on the
line every day doing this this work. It's that I
sometimes to stop and reflect on, what if you prevented?
How many people have you kept from being victimized? Because
we've taken these folks on not only off the streets,
but out of the country.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Now, these ICE arrests.
Speaker 6 (14:28):
They are nothing new. It's something they've been doing for years.
But under this new administration, with this added push, the
fact that it's been made into this priority and that
they can work with other federal agencies, they're making way
more arrests. The director there tells me they have nearly
tripled their arrest numbers here in Houston just in the
last few weeks.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Harris, that's Fox News journalist Brooke Taylor embedded with ICE
here in Houston now, something that I think is incredibly
important to point out. She goes into great detail to
explain the amount of work that ICE puts into making
a single arrest. They are doing a lot of background paperwork,
(15:10):
research figuring out who these people are, figuring out what
crimes they have committed on top of entering the country illegally,
And then they're doing even more work figuring out how
can we go in and get these people safely, How
can we go in and make sure that we're arresting
the people we want to be arresting, the people that
are violent threats to the community right now, and how
(15:32):
can we make sure that those arrests are being carried
out safely. You can't really tell from listening to it,
But if you watch the video which is on my
ex you can see it. They just they swoop in,
they grab this guy, they throw them in the van,
they drive off. There's no collateral damage, there's no big scene,
there's no issues. It's the safest way you can make
an arrest. There's no standoff, there's no shootouts, there's nothing
(15:52):
that incites collateral damage or puts the community at risk.
That's incredibly important. As much as we all want these
people arrest, you have to make sure that you're not gonna,
you know, cost someone their life and some ridiculous police
standoff because they knew you were coming and they were
ready for you. That is why what's been going on
with these FBI leaks is so just infuriating to me. Frankly,
(16:16):
this is the best possible outcome for everyone involved. You
think that that would have happened if some dork told this,
you know, legitimate pedophile. It looks like, hey, be careful,
Ice is coming for you. Get ready. You think he's
just gonna go quietly if he knows that's happening. I'm
inclined to say probably not. Maybe he would, I don't know,
(16:37):
but I think the chances of that are pretty slim.
But the left is still continuing to lose their mind
about this. They're continuing to push the narrative that this
is some terrible, horrible thing, that ICE is just destroying
people's lives, that these people just want to come into
our country and you know, have a better life for
themselves and be free and live in the United States
(16:57):
of America, because it's so amazing and how terrible is
it that ICE is going after these people. Well, here's
another great example of ICE arresting people that one thousand
percent should not be in this country for any reason ever.
This is from Breitbart. ICE arrests criminal alien who pleaded
guilty in Texas for secret bathroom recordings. Immigration agents in
(17:17):
Texas arrested a Mexican national who pleaded guilty in twenty
twenty one for invasive visual recordings in a bathroom. The
agents took the criminal alien into custody for entry into
removal processing. Okay, so this guy was convicted in twenty
twenty one. Twenty twenty one was a long time ago.
This guy should not have been in the United States anymore,
and thank god he's out. How is this a bad thing.
(17:40):
It makes no sense to say that this is a
bad thing. All Right, In just a second, we've got
Christian Collins with the Texas Youth Summit. He's going to
join us to give us a little bit of a
breakdown about what's going on in Texas politics, really crazy stuff.
Stay tuned, this is a really interesting conversation.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
I want you all to hear it.
Speaker 5 (18:14):
All right.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
So, state level politics is something that really does not
get enough attention, and that really is a problem because
state level politics, that's what has the most effect on
your day to day life, except for maybe your city government.
We tend to just sort of glance at the headlines,
if even that, when it comes to state level politics,
(18:34):
and that's a big problem. So what I want to
do is devote this entire segment to talking about just
some state level issues going on here in Texas. And
to help me with that, I'm joined by Christian Collins.
He's a former Texas congressional candidate. He's also the founder
and the president of the Texas Youth Summit. Christian, thanks
for joining me. It's good to talk to you again.
Speaker 5 (18:54):
Well, it's so great to be on with you. Ethan.
Thank you for having me absolutely.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
So let's are a little bit with talking about an
issue that I think is very important to both of us,
and that's sort of young people in politics. Young people
tend to be very apolitical and if they are involved
in politics, they tend to sort of lean to the left.
I know that's a big part of what you do,
just making sure young people are politically educated and trained.
(19:21):
What is it about that that kind of what led
you to focusing on that issue and why do you
think that's so important?
Speaker 5 (19:30):
Well, I've been a college professor teaching at Lounster College.
I've worked in the college ministry space. I've led college
ministry that I started years back, and I worked in
politics for a couple of different candidates, from Governor Greg
Abott to Senator Ted Cruise to a couple of different
members of Congress. And from those experiences, I wanted to
(19:54):
have an outlet where I would combine my passion for
education in politics and ministry. And while i Texas, you've
done it, and that's been an orbit of political speakers
and Christian influencers that have come to educate the young
people and Judeo Christian and conservative values. And we've had
thousands of youth that have come through, and we're focused
on training up the next generation to save Texas and
(20:17):
save America. So we're excited about all the great work
that we've done. We've been going six youth summits strong
since twenty nineteen, and we're doing our next here in
twenty twenty five. This upcoming fall, it's going to be fantastic.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
Alrighty well, hey, I can't wait. So let's let's dig
into this a little bit. Let's let's talk about what
we're seeing here in Texas. I think, honestly, what it
is is we're seeing the full consequences of what happens
when people don't pay enough attention to politics. They even
a lot of good strong conservatives are guilty of this.
They just sort of, you know, vote straight ticket Republican
(20:51):
and then they sort of set it and forget it.
But that really doesn't work, as we're just now finding out.
So talk to me a little bit about what we've seen,
specifically in the House where this problem has really come
full circle. We're really seeing this put into focus just
how big of an issue it is to just sort
of set and forget your state level politics.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
Yeah, that's a great question. I think there's a lot
of people that maybe look at the headlines on Fox
News or watch Fox News loosely, but there's a lot
of people that really aren't so focused on what's going
on the state level and what we've had recently with
the new speaker that's been selected really by mostly Democrats,
(21:34):
and there were thirty six Republicans who joined with those Democrats.
But unfortunately that speaker who selected Destin Burrows to not
have the plurality of the Republican Conference, and he had
said in the past that he would always want to
be in a position where he had the Republican majority
of the conference to be in any sort of leadership
(21:55):
position for any speaker, and he did the opposite in
this situation. And there is a ground swell of support
who wanted to these grassroots leaders all across the country.
I'm sorry. The state really wanted to ban Democrat chairs
and that was one of the big driving motivations, and unfortunately,
(22:17):
after Dustin Burrows was elected by mostly Democrats, they played
the slightest hand where effectively they appeared to ban Democrat chairs,
but in fact, sixty one of the sixty two Democrats
in the Texas House voted to ban themselves and celebrated afterward.
And so and these rules were written by a lawyer
(22:43):
who worked for the Obama White House. His name was
Hugh Brady, and he's worked with Dave Feeland and now
he's working with Dustin Burrows. And he wrote these rules
that gave Democrats permanent vice chairmanships, opportunities for sub committees,
and a four thousand dollars increase per month for their
offices to hire more staff and you know, utilize more
(23:06):
resources effectively. You know, Democrats immediately held a press conference
afterward to celebrate. In just some points of note, there
have been a lot of people who have talked about
this corruption that is going on in the state. From
Don Junior, who's been clear and said that President Trump
has a mandate and what went on in the Texas
House is absolutely wrong that, you know, these small group
(23:28):
of Republicans would work with Democrats to select their chair
to Dan Patrick who talks about the dentist bond, and
Greg Bonn and Dave feel and Dustin Burrows oligarchy that's
essentially going on. They're all working together in a bank.
And granted, I mean they don't make much money, six
hundred dollars or so a month working in the Texas House,
(23:50):
so they have to make a living, right, But they're
all connected in working together, and they're just basically passing
all of these most important and powerful positions between one another.
And he has a really detailed tweet that explains this.
And these are people that have big time voices who
have spoken out in Michael Barry is another big one
(24:12):
who who said that you know these Republicans who did this,
they sold us out, and I could go down the line.
Ken Paxton, he explains that like, okay, when you have
Democrats celebrating the fact that they banned themselves, there's something
wrong with that picture because things are not actually the
way that they seem, and so there's a lot of
(24:33):
nefarious things going on in the House. And what this
ultimately means is if you don't have a conservative Democrat,
I'm sorry, if you don't have a conservative Republican Speaker
of the House, then what you're going to end up
with is a speaker who doesn't really support the platform
of the Republican Party and prioritize conservative legislation the way
(24:55):
he should. And some of the emergency items that President,
I'm sorry, Governor Abbott has put forward like school choice,
like teacher pay raises, like property tax relief, they could
be diluted. And and if effectively they're they're just not
their weight in sult they don't really make a difference
(25:17):
in terms of bringing actual change. And so we've had
President Trump weighing on this and he said, look, you know,
Dan Patrick and Senator Creighton passed school choice SB two
in the Senate, and we need the Texas House to
move on this, and and Dustin Burrough said that they
would do something. But I mean, I'm pretty certain that
(25:39):
the product in the in the Texas House and more
moderate Texas House will not look as good as as
the way it does in the Texas Senate. That's just
the way things have always been, and so it's important
to have the right leaders in authority.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Yeah, it moved pretty quickly through the Senate. I think
it's sort of got to the point where the Senate
is very much the very quickly moving, very responsible, kind
of conservative body in the Texas legislature. And then by comparison,
the House is significantly more lazy, it's very much more
(26:14):
left wing. So, yeah, what sort of delusions. Do you
think will actually end up seeing happen to this school
choice bill? It's I can't imagine that we'll get it
and it be the strong bill that the Senate passed.
Just there's no way that happens.
Speaker 5 (26:31):
Yeah, No, that's a good point. I mean, I think
there will be something that comes out of that. I mean,
Greg Abbott primaried so many different Republicans in places where
that the vast majority of their people supported it, but
their constituents, I mean, but then they did not support it,
(26:52):
I guess for whatever reason. So I mean, people recognize
that Greg Abbott and Donald Trump mean business and you've
got to get on board with this. But you know,
the quality of the bill, especially with there being no
strings attached and things that the grassroots care about, That's
really what's going to matter in the end is how
(27:15):
strong and how good of a bill is the school
choice bill? What does that product look like? And those
questions really matter. And when it comes to property tax
really for example, I mean, the grassroots we want property
taxes eliminated. But you know, if you have Republicans who
are just kind of moving some things around on the margins,
(27:36):
and you know they're not. You know, they're not really
moving the neal much on that area. I mean, when
people are being taxed out of their homes and they
don't really own the property that they they buy, even
when they pay off their mortgage, because you know, if
they don't pay the property taxes, the government will take
away their homes. I mean, that's not fair to a
lot of people that have worked hard to be in
(27:57):
the position that they're in. And so you know, we
have to understand that we've got to have a speaker
who's willing to go to bat for us and fight
for us, and David Cook definitely would have been that guy.
And I just don't feel, based on what I've seen
so far with the Texas House, that Dustin Burrows is leadership.
(28:19):
It's that way. I mean, they're taking four or five
day weekends in a row like they're running out the clock.
They're running out the clock, and everyone that's calling this
project run out the clock. So what you're seeing that
in the Texas House right now, where they're taking these
long weekends, it's on pool display for everyone to see.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Yeah, it sort of seems like the name of the
game here is going to be you need to as
a voter, lok into the issues that you really care about.
Focus on them, watch them as they move through the
House and through the Senate, and then look at the names.
When the votes come out, that's all public records. Look
at them and if that doesn't align, if the people
representing you aren't voting the way you want them to
(29:01):
pay attention, remember that and vote them out of office.
(29:24):
I really liked that song. That's a good song. I'm
glad I found that. Okay, we have a vice president, right,
we can all agree on that. That's pretty objective. He's
actually been out there being productive. This is a very
fun change of pace because remember, for four years under
Joe Biden Kamala Harris, we essentially heard and saw almost
(29:47):
nothing from Vice President Kamala Harris. They just kind of
locked her away until it came time for her to
replace Joe Biden, and then all of a sudden they
started bringing her out and we realized why they had
locked her away. The woman can't give a speech to
save her life. Frankly, she's kind of dumb. That's my opinion.
You're free to disagree with it. So it's a nice
(30:11):
change of pace to see America's Vice President JD. Vance
going out and actually, you know, giving speeches in front
of the world on national TV, on global TV, to
be honest, and not only doing that, but also you know,
doing a good job of it, delivering clear, concise messages.
I mean, the vice president upgrade between Joe Biden and
(30:32):
Donald Trump is unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (30:33):
It really is.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
I could go on talking about this for hours. I
won't because we all have better things to do today.
So JD is out on an international trip right now.
He stopped in Munich, Germany at a security conference, Munich
Security Conference. He's also been in France. I think he's
probably been in a few other places, but I want
to focus on what he said in this Munich security conference.
(30:54):
We are all well aware that Europe has a massive
free speech problem. They do not have the First Amendment
like we do. They cannot say the things that they
want to say like we can. In the United States
of America. You can literally get thrown in jail for
posting memes that the British government doesn't like. I'm not
making that up. That's happened. I mean there are people
in jail right now because they tried to call out
(31:15):
and expose the fact that there were Islamist gangs that
were grooming and raping underage girls in the UK. This
guy went and did a whole video series about this,
and the UK government threw him in jail because apparently
that was hate speech. I don't understand how that works.
But this is not a problem unique to the UK.
(31:37):
It's in all of Europe. So Jade Vance is at
this conference in Munich and he points this out. He's like, listen,
this is a problem. Democracies cannot survive this. They can
survive a lot, but they can't survive just the absolute
crackdown of free speech. Take a listen to our Vice
president absolutely killing it in this speech and expressing opinions.
Speaker 8 (31:59):
Is it a life interference, even when people express views
outside your own country, and even when those people are
very influential And trust me, I say this.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
With all humor.
Speaker 8 (32:11):
If American democracy can survive ten years of Thunberg scolding
you guys can survive a few months of Elon Musk,
But what German democracy, what no democracy, American, German or
European will survive, is telling millions of voters that their
thoughts and concerns, their aspirations they're pleased for relief are
(32:34):
invalid or unworthy of even being considered.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
He's referencing specifically their Elon Musk, who has been a
little bit vocal about the upcoming German elections and they
hate that. They've, like Jadevance called them out for they've
straight up called this election interference. They are talking about
how big of a disaster this is, and jd Vance
is essentially just telling them, hey, grow up, get over it,
(32:59):
You'll be fine, calm down, and they obviously really don't
like that. What's really funny is right after jd Vance
gave that speech, a German official or speaker I guess,
got up and immediately just started complaining about jd Vance's
speech right in front of I have to assume Jady Vance,
which is pretty funny. Take a listen.
Speaker 9 (33:19):
This is why I cannot just ignore what we heard before.
I cannot not comment on the speech we heard by
the US Vice president. We fight for your right to
be against us. That is the motto, one of the
mottos of the bundesphere, and it stands for our democracy,
(33:43):
this democracy that was just called into question by the
Hues Vice president, and not just the German democracy, but
Europe as a whole. He spoke of the annulment of democracy,
and if I understood him correctly, he compares the condition
of you with the condition that prevails in some authoritarian regimes.
(34:05):
Ladies and gentlemen, this is not acceptable.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
First of all, how good is it to finally have
a vice president again who just goes to Europe and
pisses them off. The confrontationalist in me really enjoys this
because jd Vance is right here. Europe has an extremely
problematic view of free speech. Their view of free speech
is basically, anything that anyone doesn't like ever is bad
(34:34):
and wrong. It has to be banned. That's not free speech,
It's just not. Jd Vance points this out, he calls
them on it. They don't like it, and why would
you If you got told that you were basically an authoritarian,
you probably wouldn't appreciate it either. But these people are.
What's really funny to me is what actually really happened
right there. If you zoom out and kind of boil
this down, what essentially happened is jd Vance went to
(34:56):
Europe and said Europe does not accept free speech, and
then Europe in turn said jd Vance's speech is inacceptable. Okay,
good job proving jd Vance's point. And to Jdvance once again,
good job calling them out for this. Europe has got
to have people in America because nobody else is going
to do it. There's got to be Americans that are
(35:18):
willing to look at Europe and say, hey, you guys
are not behaving. What you're doing is wrong. And Americans
have been doing this for our entire history. Our country
started by telling Europe, hey, what you're doing is not
allowed anymore. So good job Jady Vance for carrying that
torch and you know, putting truly anti free speech authoritarian
(35:38):
Europeans in their place, because that's what he did. All right,
Let's take a look at what jd Vance said about AI.
This was I believe in France. Yeah, this is in Paris.
I don't know what specific event this is, but he
went out and he gave this speech about AI. And
you know, there's a lot of questions about what AI
will be, or what it will become, or what going
(36:00):
to do to the American economy. I tend to be
an optimist here. I think this technology will make our
lives better. I think it will be able to augment
with what we do already. This will enhance our lives,
It will not destroy it. But again that's provided that
we be responsible with it. Get out there, take the
lead on developing AI technology and make sure that it's
(36:23):
serving our interests. I think that's something America should be doing,
and I think all of our lives will be better
if we do so. Here's JD. Vance at this conference
in France, and he's essentially saying this. He's like, look,
we're going to make sure that we are at the
forefront of AI development and that our workers are ready
for the advent of AI. Take a listen to this.
Speaker 10 (36:42):
This administration wants to be very clear about one last point.
We will always center American workers in our AI policy.
We refuse to view AI as a purely disruptive technology
that will inevitably automate away our labor force. We believe
and we will fight for policies that ensure that AI
(37:02):
is going to make our workers more productive and we
expect that they will reap the rewards with higher wages,
better benefits, and safer and more prosperous communities. From law
to medicine manufacturing, the most immediate applications of AI almost
all involved supplementing, not replacing, the work being done by Americans. Now,
(37:27):
combined with this administration's worker first approach to immigration, we
believe that the US labor force, prepared to use AI
to its fullest extent, will instead attract the attention of
businesses that have offshored some of these roles. To accomplish this,
the administration will make sure that America has the best
trained workforce in the world. Our schools will teach students
(37:51):
how to manage, how to supervise, and how to interact
with AI enable tools as they become more and more
a part of our everyday life, and as AI creates
new jobs and industries, our government, businesses, and labor organizations
have an obligation to work together to empower the workers
(38:12):
not just of the United States, but all over the country,
all over the world. So that ends for all major
AI policy decisions coming from the federal government. The Trump
administration will guarantee American workers a seat at the table.
And we're very proud of that.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
I mean, this is a great message to hear from
our Vice President. This is incredibly important technology that is
going to shape the future we need to make sure
that we're the ones that are in control of it,
that we know what it can do and what it
can't do. And if we do that, we're going to
be in a great spot. This is going to provide
a lot of interesting jobs to Americans. I think this
is a net positive. We'll see what happens, but I'm hopeful.
(38:50):
All Right, that's all I've got for us this week.
