Speaker 1 (00:00):
Danny here and it's our big podcast, the Danny and
Pat well, okay, it's the Pat and Danny podcast, but
podcast today, and I'm really excited to have back Lois
Hills and Roe couldn't be with us today, but Tanner
and Alex are here and we're going to be talking
about what is going on. So the first thing I
want to talk about with you guys is for people

(00:22):
who are like, wait a minute, Lois Hills, I'm not
sure if I know these people, like, introduce yourself once again,
because I know you guys were here before, but introduce
yourself to all the listeners.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Sure, Lowis Hills. We're based out of really the QC area.
We all live in different well actually no Alex lives
in Clinton now. He just moved to Clinton quite three
days welcome, so I guess we're majority Clinton one, QC.
We make country music infuse with whatever we want to
infuse it with. Right, it's our own version of country,
that's right.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
And you know what, that's really what makes country music
so great is all the eclectic tastes that run into it,
so it embraces very a lot of different genres. So
I'm super excited to have you guys back again. So
what I should let people know is if they want
to go back into the podcast and hear what we
talked about, it was like, what was it January?

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Yeah, I mentioned to be early to mid January. We
had just released our first single. We're working on the
next one released in the next couple of weeks. So
it was all very fresh.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Oh yeah, so for and so good too, So thank you.
Let's talk about a little bit in the past. What
have you got so from January to nowhere? Where is
it taking you?

Speaker 3 (01:33):
So at this point, we are getting ready to release
our sixth single titled Woe Mama, that is releasing tonight
at seven pm. Today is the tenth of June. Okay,
so we're getting ready for that. We we're getting ready
to play our first live show together. We are opening
for Tyler Braden at Petunia Fest and Dixon, Illinois. If
you're unfamiliar with him, he does the Devil You know
now is an unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Song for people who are not familiar.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
You guys are actually three separate artists became friends and
so why aren't we working together?

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Correct?

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Yeah, And so that's kind of how this all came about.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
So not that you guys have never done a live show,
just not a live show together.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
It's kind of funny because like when these promoters are
the venue owners, they ask us, are you a full band?
I've asked. I've actually messaged twice like are we I'm like,
we have a drummer. I'm like, it's just a unique
full band. But we are a full band. We got
a DJ drummer, three vocalists, fun traditional full band.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
And I mean I mean combined individually, If you combined
all of our time, we've got like over fifty years
of live playing experience. So just because we're playing together
as a as three for the first time, we've been
doing this for very long.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Well, it reminds me when you're talking about that the
White Stripes. Nobody batting an eye at that. So, I
mean exactly a different genre, but same kind of idea.
Sure you've nailed it all right, So Petunia Fest, yes,
and that's again when.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yeah, Petunia Fest is July fifth. We are going on
stage at eight thirty to nine thirty, and that is
right before Tyler Braden love.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
That Dixon Illinois.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Dixon, Illinois. Okay, any other tea you want to spill
about dates that you guys might have coming up so
people can come see you.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Yeah. So tonight's release involves the Quasity steam Wheelers and
their dance team. And when we created this song, we
all kind of got together and we're like, you know,
this is a this is a dance song, this is
something that needs like a dance created for us. We
started brainstorming how we wanted to make this come about.
Are there any dance studios or anything like that, And

(03:30):
we're like, well, how can we make this as QC
bring in our area as possible, and like steam Wheelers
have a dance team, maybe we can reach out.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah, and that team is doing amazing right now, exact exactly.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
And after a few back and forth, they were completely
all in. They they created a whole dance for it.
It's a huge part of the music video. So July
twelfth is their country Night and we are going to
be performing the halftime show for their country night.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Oh my gosh, yes, so cool, and the.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Deck made dancers are going to perform their dance they
create while we do the song live and everything. That's
going to be amazing.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Oh my gosh, that's so cool. So give me the
dates once again, because I want people to that now.
They heard steam Wheelers and then said, wait a minute,
there's a country Night.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Now, wait a minute, what was the data? Ga?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yeah, so July fifth is Petunia Fest and then the
week and after, which is a Saturday, July twelfth, it
would be the steam Wheelers Country Night, their home game.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Aw yeah, gotcha. Oh that's so cool.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
We're super excited. You a bucket listing has always been
to perform at that place. This will also be an
untraditional performance, but it's fine. We're excited.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Vibrant arena, you can still put it on you, Okay.
So and then, well, we were talking off air about
something you cannot mention yet. So people, when do you
think you'll be able to release what we were talking about?

Speaker 4 (04:49):
Six people should watch your socials.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Yeah, at some point in July, we will be announcing
a show that we have been holding on to four
months and that has been killing us. We can't announce it.
They announce it, right, But it's fantastic. It's by far
the biggest thing any of us have ever done in
our career, and we cannot wait to actually be able
to spill this t to you guys probably knew when
we probably right yes week.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
It's even crazier because when we booked this show, we
only had one song out, it was only Cowgirls for Life,
and we booked this show. We're like, I don't even
know how it happened, but we are thankful and we
are ready.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Don't care, very glad.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Okay, so one thing people are going to want to
know is your socials because they'll want to keep up
with you guys. You guys are what I would say,
I mean, with all the things that you're doing on
the cusp of really blowing up.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah, we appreciate that, I do. Of course, all the
socials are at lowis Hill's music, which is l oe
Ss and then Hill's music. We've had pretty good so
our last release, Country Fight, is at about three hundred
and thirty thousand views. Everything's kind of like since we
dropped that, everything else is also jumping up, so all

(06:01):
the YouTube is going up the Spotify so it's doing really, really,
really really well.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
So all right, I'm going to ask you what would
you like people to know about you as a group
or maybe individuals. What do you want people to take
away from Lois Hills.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
I think with Lois Hills, it's not your grandfather's country,
but it is something that everybody can enjoy. There's parts
of us that hit the flavor of every person that's listening.
We've got country, we've got hip hop, we've got singer songwriter,
acoustic stuff, we've got bluegrassy folk stuff. I mean every
there's we are. We are just a big old cavalcade

(06:39):
of country music combined in and it's just a little
bit of everything for everyone.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Yeah, it's really good, really good word wide vocabulary.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
It's why you write songs.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Yeah, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
So okay, So then individually you guys, all right, correct,
and then you bring that all together. Yes, and then
now you've had it, you have a a wait.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
You said, somebody, do you have a DJ and a drummer?

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Correct? Yeah. So our drummer is out of the Fulton
Area's names Travis Ray. I've been playing music with him
for fifteen years now. He is the best live drummer
that I have ever experienced, and we are very fortunate
to have him.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
And our DJ is DJ Smoke Writer. He goes. He's
out of the Cluad season and he's been my DJ
for ten years, so we're kind of bringing all our
people with us.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
I love that Jelly Roll did the same thing and
look at him exactly again.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
All been doing stuff individually, but we're all together now
and our team's coming with us. So this is this
is great. We're having so much fun.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Anything else you guys want it, you know, highlight that's
coming up, because I'm so excited for you guys.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
The future just looks really exciting.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Yeah, we have this conversational a lot. We're like, man,
once we start the live shows, it's really going to
like go crazy, I think for us. I know October
twenty fifth, we can announce because it's confirmed October twenty fifth, Yes,
October twenty fifth at the Q Casino in Dubuke. We're
going to open four Bird as well. Oh so that
would be super cool. We're like, we're really really excited
about that just because we're like opposite ends of country.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Well.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
I think it's going to be a really good together
type of thing.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Nice mix. I think, really good mix.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
One. And then this is an open invite. On June
twenty seventh, from six p to EP we are filming
our next music video for our next song at Poopi's
in Savannah. And this this music video is going to
be insane. It is just going to be a big
country project X style party. Andy and all are welcome.

(08:33):
It's going to.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Be insane once again.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
The date June twenty seventh, Friday, June twenty seventh, Perfect
six p to eight P.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Nice, I love it for your next release? Oh so good?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
All right?

Speaker 4 (08:46):
Anything else? You guys? You know it's like I get
up there, nice, Oh yeah, I have.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
All these things rolling through my brain and then I
feel no, I already asked that. Oh I already got that. Okay,
because I'm a terrible interviewer. Because when I when I
get so excited about people, and then I think, well,
what would somebody want to know? What I would want
to know again is Petunia Fest is the next time
people can see you live?

Speaker 2 (09:13):
So actually the first ever. Yes, July fifth, eight thirty
pm at Petunia Fest in Dixon, Illinois. And I believe
you it's not pre sale tickets fifteen dollars fifteen bucks
at the door, which I feel like is extremely affable.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
All ages welcome. Ages twelve and under under get in free.
Oh that's awesome. Otherwise fifteen dollars at the gate.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
And you said Lois Hills all the social media if
people look up Lois Hills, spell it one more time, lows.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Hills Music and it's Loess music or Hills Music. Loe
s s is the important part.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Yeah. Absolutely. It looks like you guys have merchant stuff too.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
We got some stuff for all we're getting there.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
So people go to Petunia Fest, get a shirt and
rep while you're there.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Yeah, plenty of merchant, puniest it's gonna be awesome.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Well, I'm so excited for you guys. I cannot wait.
So again, you're dropping the new single tonight.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Seven tonight socials.

Speaker 1 (10:07):

actually hear.

Speaker 4 (10:15):

a promise that will be happening.
