Speaker 1 (00:00):
Thank you for taking some time to talk to me
today because I know this is a super important thing.
Before we start talking about what's going on on Saturday,
just give me a little background on how McGrath Harley
Davidson of the Quad Cities has really been involved in
the community.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah, so we try as hard as we can stay
involved on the donation platform, we do a lot for
local silent auctions things like that for different causes. And
then a couple of years ago we started the weekend
Grilling program where we let groups every Saturday during the
writing season sponsored grill outs where they can raise money
(00:42):
for their cause. So we provide the meat and then
they come and grill out for our customers and they
usually bring up pretty good crowd. So that's something that
we've grown over the last couple of years.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Yeah, and Tyler, I know last night I saw the
QC Veteran Outreach Center was there, so I know, oh,
you guys really work hard to help a lot of
foundations here in the Quad Cities. And another one of
those great community events is going on on Saturday. Can
you talk a little bit about that cancer Awareness ride?
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Yeah? Absolutely, the cancer Awareness ride we are sponsoring partnering
up with them. They're going to be starting here Saturday,
the twenty fourth kickstands up at ten o'clock. You can
still register online or in person when you come, so
they've got some different options. And then they're going to
have some good stops and then they think they end
(01:35):
over in Rock Island will be the final stop.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
That's very cool. Now let's just say you're somebody like
me who has aspirations to be a rider, but maybe
I just don't have something right now. Is there a
way I can just I can donate because I think
this is a great cause.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah, certainly you can donate online or at the time
of sign up. And they even have some T shirts
and hoodie, these long sleeve t shirts, different stuff. And
then they are promoting a concert at the end of
the ride and that they'll be selling tickets for those
as well.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Oh I love that. So you're getting a great ride,
and it looks like Sunday is going to be a
perfect day to ride, you know, a little humid, a
little hot, so you're going to want to be out
there catching some are and then of course with the
concert to follow up, just golf. I love that. I
absolutely love it once again give us the details on
where people can go and then what time things get
started so they can join the event.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yep, so we will be I will be here as
early as eight o'clock on the twenty fourth at fifty
three to twenty Corporate Park Drive. That's the address here
at McGrath. Quad City's Harley Davidson, and I know they'll
be doing sign up and then kick stands up like
I said, at ten o'clock for the ride.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
So come out for the ride, stay for the great music,
or if you want to just come to the music,
donate and just help out the cancer awareness ride. Tyler.
It's the thing to do on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Yes, we really appreciate all the support and we hope
to see you there
