Speaker 1 (00:02):
Good morning. It's an exciting six nine the Valley's Best Mix.
I'm Priscilla. It's time for your bond on a budget
tip of the day that tiptab to save money and
live your best life.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
And right now at Domino's they're helping the fight for
against inflation with their more Inflation deal. And right now
you can mix and match any two topping medium pizzas
for seven bucks. It goes on through September twenty ninth,
so just a few days left. But seven dollars for
a two topping medium pizza.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Yeah, buddy.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Also, Halloween costumes are on sale right now at Target.
They start at nine at ninety seven and they're all
thirty percent off.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
I'm running right now.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Okay, not right now because it's not opening yet, but
as soon as I'm done here at the show, I'm
going to go.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
To Target and you probably should too.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
All right, Coming up, we have What's trending and Demi Lovado,
a childhood star we all grew up with her. Wait
till you hear what she had to say in an
interview about what she remembers about the industry growing up
and how toxic it is and how much it affected
her memory. We'll explain just around six twenty five. It's
(01:11):
fixed eighty six to nine in the Valley's Best Mix
for Scilla. Here, it's time for West Running, brought to
you by Hila Rivert Resorts and Casinos.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Vance Vaughn shares.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
With ABC News that he is considering a wedding Crashers too.
He said, they've talked about it quite a bit, and
he wants to make sure that the story does the
original justice and he will not consider filming it unless
it's as good as the first one, and that makes.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Us very happy.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Jamie Fox's daughter, Karenn got married this past Saturday. There's
a video of Jamie Fox walking his daughter down the aisle,
and it's super special because his daughter is his co
host on Beat Shazam and she was the one that
kind of nursed him back to health after all that
medical emergency and issues, and he didn't even know what
his life was going to look like after that.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
So it's really special to.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
See them kind of come together and you know, really
have this happy moment. So we're wishing them a lifetime
of happiness. Hayden Panetary, how wild is this? You know
she's dealt with a lot. She has struggled with her sobriety,
and from the last update she was doing okay, but
people are shocked after seeing the people interview that had
(02:15):
fans concerned online on social media, where her voice and
her speech was a little slurred, her eyes were heavy,
and she just seemed to be struggling well. She released
a statement saying, it's unfathomable, unfathomable that I even have
to be in this position, but I'm forced to address
it in a space where i won't be criticized for
how fast or slow I speak.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
I hadn't slept in two.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Days prior to the shoot because one of my dogs
had emergency surgical procedure.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Emergency surgical procedure.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
So.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
We were wishing her well.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
You know, obviously in the interview she is struggling, but
we're hopeful that it's just because of sleep and sending
her lots of love. Raven Simone sits down with Demi
Lovado and they talk about what it was like working together.
They would start did this project together to just recount
what it's like as a child star, right, and they've
gone through a lot and not a lot of great things,
(03:06):
and Demi opens up about how that has affected her memory.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
First got on the phone to talk about this project.
I was like, I watched it when that's O Raven
such an inspiration. You were like, I was on your show,
and I was like, oh my god, she was and
I but it was part of my disassociation that I
don't even remember so much of my show that I
was on, but I do remember how difficult I was
(03:31):
to work with because I was in so much pain
and I was hurting.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
You weren't the nicest person, right, You weren't like welcome,
you know, you weren't doing that.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
So they go on to kind of talk about what
that looked like and how they've overcome it and how
they've grown into being you know, good adults that aren't
struggling with those issues anymore. Obviously, we know Demi Lovado
had to pass up until recently with her scare, with
her overdose and all that stuff. So I'm glad they're
on the men and they're working through it and they're
(04:04):
speaking about it and being open, because the more you
do that, the quicker you hear.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
So sending them lots of love all.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Right on the way, we have your chance to go
to University Studios, Hollywood, Halloween, Horrn Nights plus your sip
of the day all.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Coming up just after six point forty right here, I'll mix.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
It's fixed eighty six to nine, the Valley's best mixed
Priscilla here. So today's sip of the day, that sip
of goodness while you sip on your coffee. Is a
dad and his advice on how to.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Be present with your kids. Now.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
Always pay attention to your kids when they want to play,
because soon enough they won't want to play with you anymore.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
I've got a thirteen year old on this trip with me.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
She would rather be hanging with friends and not with
dear old dad, which is why I sit by myself
in this park. So instead of watching TV, looking at
your phone, staring at your screen, watching Netflix, doing YouTube,
you should instead walk away, go to your kids and
go outside and play some cash with them.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Listen.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
That is a good reminder for us parents that have
young kids. Sometimes we are in the thick of it
and we forget to just slow down, be in the
moment and really soak it all in. Because I can
fall in that like busy bustle, hustle bustle, like be
on your phone situation, So thanks Dad, Okay, on the
way it is, Uh, we're going to talk about producer
(05:26):
Sid and she is just stays away from giving birth
to a baby, and she's starting a life with a child,
and I'm doing a different thing and transitioning out of
it with a different kid. So we'll do that around
six point fifty right here on Mix ninety six nine
these beautiful Benson Bouno Mic ninety six nine in the
Valley's Best Mix Priscilla here. So, Sid, you're officially on
(05:47):
baby watch any day? Now, how are you feeling any day?
Same old, same old, A little.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
Tired, well, sleepy, ready for her to come out, but
whenever she's ready.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Does it feel different every day for you?
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Because I remember as I got closer, like every day
it was just a little bit more tired, a little
bit more swollen, a little bit more just.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
I think so. I mean my ring size is up
like three. Oh really, I'm very swollen. Yes, so I
think so. But it's also my first baby, so I'm
kind of I'm like, am my gas letting myself into
going into.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Labor because I want to everything.
Speaker 5 (06:20):
Yeah, No, I mean it's all you never know Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
It's so tough because this is where that you just
have to wait and whenever she's ready, she's gonna come.
Which is funny because we were talking about how you
are beginning the stages of motherhood and I'm at the
point where I'm like, you're bringing one in, I'm taking
one out. Yes, my oldest, Yes, the oldest I know, Lila.
She applied to go to u of A this past weekend.
(06:44):
I think she wants to go as early as the
spring and live in the dorms if possible.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
It's so exciting.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
I don't even know how that works, honestly, because I
didn't go to college.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
I don't know. It's been a while, but that's very exciting.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
It is.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
It's funny too, because it feels so wild to be
so young and have a college student like as your kid. Yesterday,
she's so funny too, because she was just like we
were chatting back and forth, and my birthday's coming up,
and she's a little de lulu like I am, and
she's like, Mom, for your birthday, you're so deserving, I'm
gonna buy you an ice maker that and it's but
(07:16):
it's the five hundred dollars one and I'm like, Leilah,
you have thirty dollars in your break that's very sweet,
but yeah, she's got a safe I was like, absolutely not,
and she's like, I have to and I was like, honestly, Liila,
if you buy that for me, I'm gonna be upset
and not like mean, but just like you're not allowed
to do that. And so we started bickering back and forth,
(07:37):
and I'm like, I'm arguing with my daughter.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Like she's my sister.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
It's just such a bizarre stage in our relationship.
Speaker 5 (07:46):
Because she's becoming an adult. I know your relationship is
going to change over the next couple of years.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
And I'm not yet an adult, right, so how does
that work? I know it's so bizarre, but I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
For both of us, like you, you know, with your
baby girl, me sending mine away. So it'll be fun
to kind of follow along on that all right. On
the way, we have our jaw dropper of the day,
and this zoo in China did something that literally I
was like, there's no way they thought this would pass.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
We'll explain after seven.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
It's excinety six to nine in the Valley's Best Mix,
and it's time for a jaw dropper.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
It's not girl, I think you dropped something my jaw.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
Okay, so sid when I saw this story, I cackled
like I couldn't even believe that they tried to pull
this off.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
I love it so much.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
But there is this zoo in China that is getting
dragged on the internet because they tried to pass off
painted dogs as pandas way slick. Oh. So they were
actually chow chows that were painted to resemble pandas at
the Chinese zoo, and people started noticing that they weren't
(09:00):
pandas when they started panting and barking.
Speaker 5 (09:05):
That was their first clue.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
I just was like, so visitors are obviously upset, and
they were demanding their money back for false advertising, Like duh,
I almost.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
Don't even want my money back. Like that's pretty funny.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
I mean the video is he like you literally see
them walking out on all fours with the tail.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
I don't think panda bears have tails.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
I lugh, the video is so hilarious.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
I My thing is like, who in their right mind
thought like this is what we'll do.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
They're gonna believe that these are panda bears Like.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
And also aren't panda bears like very exclusively tracked because
they're endangered or something like that.
Speaker 5 (09:42):
Yeah, there's not many of them.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
You're not gonna come up with the five panda bears
and you're like, uh, and then someone's.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Not gonna say anything, you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (09:52):
The scheme is crazy because you know that they knew
they were gonna get caught. Yes, so I mean anyone,
any normal adult. I mean, I'm sure some kids they're like, oh,
it's a baby pav No, But yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Video's unreal. It is hilarious, amazing. You gotta check it out.
It's on our Instagram right now at mcsninety six nine FM. Okay,
on the way, we have What's Trending and the newest
generation of relationships.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
They're doing something. Here's the thing.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
Are we gonna love this or are we just gonna
give gen z a hard time? See what they're doing
in the relationships to make them last longer. We'll explain
around seven to twenty five. It's mix Scity six niney
the Valley's Best Mix and Priscilla's time for What's Trending,
brought to you by Hila River Resorts and Casinos, so cool.
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark was unanimously voted the twenty
(10:45):
twenty four Associated Press WNBA Rookie of the Year. I mean,
she's definitely been the one that's been the most in
the news, but if all, it's her achievements as well.
Four time WNBA Rookie of the Month, three time WNBA
Eastern confer Player of the Week, and the WNBA Eastern
Conference Player of the Month in August.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
So congrats to her.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Amazon Prime Day is coming up October eighth and ninth,
so we're expected to see some Black Friday level discounts
on gift worthy items. There's gonna be markdowns on things
like kitchen Aid, Samsung, Beats, Legos, and then of course
some travel deals that you could do up to forty
percent off on cruises, thirty percent off on rental cars,
(11:26):
So make sure you check that out.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Gen Z love them.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
We could learn a thing or two from them, but
I don't know if this is this is it. They're
creating handwritten relationship contracts similar to a prenup, but a
relationship contract if you're dating someone with promises to never cheat,
promises to stay together, provided these circumstances, promises to keep
up certain boundaries and it's just it's a lot and
(11:52):
it's a no for me personally, but to each their own.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
This is so cool.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Chris and Martin went while he was in Vegas for
our iHeartRadio Music festival. Afterwards, he went out into the
strip and out into Vegas and decided to disguise himself
and sing a song.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
At a Las Vegas karaoke bar.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Listen to this, I mean, can you imagine seeing Chris
Martin at a karaoke bar, like knowing the guy looks
weird because he had this black wig on and he
was like in this oversized tuxedo and you're like, that's
(12:34):
how guys sounds familiar. There's something there, I'm not sure.
Videos kind of fun. Check it out on our Instagram
at Mix ninety six nine FM.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
All right, let's do this.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
It is time to hook you up with tickets to
Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights. And we are playing
the pop Culture Playbook and you're gonna have to guess
one of the most iconic pop culture moments. It was
called right now six oh two two six nine six nine.
That's six oh two nine six nine. It's Excity sixty nine,
(13:04):
the Valley's Best Mix. I'm Priscilla and it's time to
play pop culture Playbook.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
We got Carrie on the phone. Good morning, Carrie, how
are you? Good morning?
Speaker 6 (13:14):
Good, I'm ready.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Let's do this.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
So all you have to do is guess the pop
culture moment. It's basically those moments that literally belong in
playbooks because of how important it is to pop culture. Okay,
so the question is, what is the name of the
talk show where Danielle Bergoli, also known as bad Baby,
(13:36):
famously said.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
This kiss me out?
Speaker 2 (13:42):
How about thatsde What talk show was she on?
Speaker 1 (13:50):
I mean, think of a guy host that was a therapist.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Now think of a therapist, think of a therapist, psychologist.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
What's up is it? Doctor Phil? So much?
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Yes, congratulation, Yes, you're going to Universal Studios, Hollywood Halloween
Horror Nights.
Speaker 5 (14:11):
Oh my gosh, thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Of course, tank tit?
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Okay, yeah, thank you, I love it.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Catch me outside? How about that?
Speaker 2 (14:20):
I mean that belongs in pop culture playbook that everyone
knows what that is? All right? On the way, we
have our hot topic and we went off of Reddit
today and this woman is struggling with being a mom
and dating, and the kids are her boyfriend not liking
her kids. We'll do that in Tucsons bray here mix.
It's like thinety sixth nine of Alley's best mixed Priscilla Here.
(14:42):
It's time for our hot topic and sid. This woman
is going viral on Reddit because she's asking relationship advice.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
She goes on to say, my boyfriend and I are
talking about getting married. We are both divorce and we
both have our own kids. The problem is the kids
don't like one another my boyfriend.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
I know my boyfriend and I know we have found true.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Love with each other, but when we have our kids
at the same time, it is really difficult and puts
a strain on our relationship because we think each other's
kids are probably a little bit.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
In the fault when it comes to them fighting.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
I love his kids, I know he loves mine, but
I just can't deal with them not getting along or
liking each other.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
I know, she says, what should we do?
Speaker 2 (15:26):
I know they're just kids and they don't pay rent
or contribute to the household, so they shouldn't have a.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
Say and me getting married or anything like that.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
But living day to day with kids that don't get
along and are always fighting, especially when the kids aren't yours,
How can I put up with that?
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Oh gosh, this is tough.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
What do you think, listen, girl, I'm all about protecting
my peace.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
My house is my safe space.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
If I if my every day is going to be
chaotic and stressful and not happy and just like exhausting.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Like you have to think of that?
Speaker 5 (16:02):
No, yeah, I guess. I mean I think it helps
that the kids are a little bit younger.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Maybe. Yeah, So they're all under the age of ten,
which is good.
Speaker 5 (16:10):
It could grow, you know, once they grow up, they're
gonna but that's.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
A learned time. I don't know, it's a long time
to figure it out.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
I'm but also, like, if it's a good relationship and
you're in love and you know he's eventually he's a
good influence on your kids and your life and your family,
there's a lot to be said there.
Speaker 5 (16:29):
And kids are resilient, like they might snap out. It
might just be an adjustment period. I don't know, Listen,
it depends how much these kids really don't like each
other exactly.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
So let's get your advice.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
I am sure there are a lot of blended families
out there that have dealt with the same situation.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
So if that's you, give us.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
A call right now. Six oh two two six oh
oh nine six ' nine. That's six oh two two,
six oh oh nine six nine.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
It's exciety six nine in the Valley's Best Mix.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
I'm Priscilla and in the middle of our hot topic, uh,
the scenario that has a lot of comments commenting.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
What do you do if you meet the love of
your life and you want.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
To get married, but you have kids, he has kids,
and the kids do not get along in the least bit.
We have Luke on the phone. Luke, what's your opinion
on this hot topic?
Speaker 7 (17:16):
Yeah, you know, I hate to say it, but I
don't think it's going to work out between these two.
You know, their kids have to come before any any
of their feelings.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
You know, It's tough because I feel like there has
to be a way to work around. I'm sure that
there have been other couples that have been in this situation,
you know what I mean, Like, they can't be the first,
So how did those couples make it work?
Speaker 1 (17:35):
You know?
Speaker 7 (17:36):
Yeah, but if you can't make it work, you have
to put your family first.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
I get it, but how do you make it work right?
There has to be a way if.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
You have an opinion on what she should do, or
maybe you've been in this situation. We want to hear
at six O two two six oh oh nine six nine.
That's six o two two six oh oh nine six nine.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
It's of excitety six nine.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
I'm Priscilla in the middle of our hot topic, and
we had a woman on Reddit go online and ask
people what do I do when I'm in love? I
want to get married to my boyfriend. We both have
our own kids, but the kids do not like each
other and they do not get along no matter what
we do. We got Kim on the phone. Kim, what's
your opinion on this hot topic?
Speaker 8 (18:20):
I would honestly having them sit down and watch all
the reruns of The Brady Bunch. So the song here's
the story of a man named Brady, and they were
both littleers. So they had to get their kids together.
And they all understand that their stepmother's stepfather, but they
have to get along.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
I mean, I get it for sure.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Listen, getting kids on the age of ten nowadays to
sit through an old show like the Brady Bunch might
be tough, but I get the perspective.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
They got to figure it out, right, Yes, all.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Right, thanks Kim, have a wonderful day.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Let's move on to Chris and goodyear. Chris. What's your
opinion on this hot topic?
Speaker 9 (19:00):
So, like usual, there's layers. I mean, you know, divorce
is traumatic for children because they feel a sense of
abandonment by it. They're non primary parents, they feel abandons
them and the divorce on an emotional level. And so
your primary parents are living with is the one you're
attached to, and now they want to get married to
somebody else and they're feeling abandoned all over again because
(19:22):
now you want, yeah, yeah, to get your attention. But
it can work, but there has to be open and
honest conversation based on what they can talk about to
these kids in their age group. But they're going to
have to let them know that you know, we're not
abandoning you, belove you, we want to make our family
bigger and stronger, and over time, it's going to take
a while, but it can work.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Yeah, they just have to be patient and they have
to understand that kids are going to have a roller
coaster of emotions, and it's probably more so fearful, like
based in fear versus like actually hating.
Speaker 9 (19:54):
Someone all the kids that are now yours.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Yeah, all right, thanks Chris, I appreciate you. I would
I have to hear from someone that actually has had
this situation. Maybe you've found a way to get over it.
If it was a called six two two six nine
six nine spurts of a Feather, I'm Excity six nine
in the Valley's Best Mix I Priscilla. So these trends
are likely to die when the older generation baby boomers
(20:18):
are gone.
Speaker 5 (20:18):
Okay, we're done with it. Let's hear them.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Text messaging in all caps, Facebook posts and all caps.
Speaker 5 (20:24):
I will never stop texting in all caps.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
You're gonna carry that on your back till the day
you die, Okay. Basically thinking what wealth is, like the
older generations think wealth is money in your bank account,
or younger generations think wealth is having freedom like.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
Oh gotcha, experience as like better work life balance exactly.
I agree with that.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
The Elvis fandom, I think that already died. All wait,
is there Elvis fandom still? I would be surprised if
they're won.
Speaker 5 (21:00):
I mean the Elvis movie was kind of a moment,
but I wouldn't say that was fandom.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
I wonder too if we would if like, the younger
generations are gonna laugh at us when we're like in
sync and they're.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
I know, justin Bieber fandom. Yeah, can you imagine?
Speaker 1 (21:13):
What about this physical checks? When was the last time
we wrote a check?
Speaker 5 (21:18):
I've got one in my wallet and I don't know why,
just in case of emergency. It'sesn't even on my right
name now anymore.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
In case of emergencies.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
The only time I ever have to write a check
is like when Jackson's school needs some type of feet paid.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Oh, I'm like, what are we doing? Why do we
still need checks? I can't imagine.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Silly old school AOL email addresses.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
Some of our listeners. It's so funny because they'll win
a prize and they'll be like at AOL dot com.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
I know, I know, I know they feel shamed before
even saying I'm like.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
It's fine, girl, you won the prize.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
This one's a big one and I'm so happy this
is going away.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
The I hate my wife humor, Yeah, you know what
I mean. They're like, oh, tired, I.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Gotta go home and jabe oh BALLI chain oh my wife,
she's just such a witch. You know.
Speaker 5 (22:10):
It's a little tired.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
I if I ever found out my husband talked about
me like that behind my back, I know.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
I would take it as personal as him, like having
an affair. It's yeah, it would not be a good feeling.
It makes me think of Real Housewives of New Jersey.
You remember when he's like my wife the oh, and
he got caught on a hot mic. Yes, ooh, I
could never. And then finally having salads as primary meals.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
It's weird, that's gonna die out.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
I was like, I love a good salad, big old
Kardashian salad, shake it up.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
My favorite is a Caesar salad salad with chicken and
a nice little appetizer on the side, a little French fry.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
So basically, I can't wait to find out what trends we.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Have that are gonna die out, you know, nor on
the way we have what's trending? And Ellen is out
with a new special. There is this speaking of trends,
this thing called Coolcations. Will explain what it is around
eight twenty five. It's Fix ninety six to nine in
the Valley's Best Mix. I'm Priscilla. It's time for What's Trending,
brought to you by Hila River Resorts and Casinos. So
(23:17):
coolcations are the new popular travel trend, especially for those
here in Arizona. Rather than following the crowd to a
tropical beach location, cool caationers are opting four temps lower
than seventy five degrees places like Washington, places like Yellowstone
National Park, Utah, Montana, basically where it's cold and you'll
(23:41):
never feel that type of coldness here in Arizona. I
also think a fun getaway to a cool caation is
always up north. We are so lucky that we're able
to drive two to three hours and make it to snow.
So hopefully you're enjoying a lot of coolcations this holiday season.
Beetlejuice lips trending involves a two tone lipstick look with
(24:02):
black eyeshadow increases. It's popular among content creators. I'm gonna
do it tonight with my kiddo, Jacks on the heels
the spooky season beatle juice being out. It's actually a
really cool thing to do while you're thinking about fun
ways to dress up for the holiday season. Also, Ellen's
new special is out on Netflix.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
All right, well, let me catch up on what's been
going on with me since you saw.
Speaker 6 (24:25):
Me last I decided to take up.
Speaker 8 (24:27):
Gardening, I got chickens.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Let me see what else I can tell you about that.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
What's been going on?
Speaker 9 (24:34):
Oh yeah, I got kicked out of show business.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
The show is called for your approval. It's on Netflix
right now, and she obviously talks about getting canceled and
her experience with her TV show and all of that,
So make sure you check that out.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
All right. On the way, we're gonna vibe check.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
And tell you about clean talk and why it's bad
for your mental health. We'll do that in about twenty
minutes on mix It's Exciteding's Excited, the Valley's Best Mix.
Priscilla here and Sid's time for the vibe check. We
are not passing the vibe No. So, experts are warning
that clean talk and decluttering fads are actually wrecking.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Your mental health.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Uh. The reason why, they say it's because you feel
overwhelmed and confused and struggle with what's supposed to be
organized in which way excessive decluttering may put like burnout
and create a false sense of accomplishment, emphasizing like, oh,
if everything isn't clean, life is hard.
Speaker 5 (25:31):
I know sometimes chaos is a little bit better. But
I totally relate to this because I got trays for
all of my drawers, like my bedside drawer, my makeup drawer,
my you know, toilet try drawer. But now everything has
a little spot, and if it's not their spot, I
have a conniption.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Yeah, you're like stressed because this isn't where it's supposed
to be.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
I feel that way.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
I have unfortunate burnout when it comes to my flo
Like if I don't feel like my floors are clean,
I can't relax.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
So if I see my kids like forget.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
To take their shoes off, or I see someone walking
in with a shoe, or even like I haven't vacuumed
in like a day and a half, I feel like
my life is falling apart.
Speaker 5 (26:17):
Oh my gosh. So this is why you need to
have some places in your home that can be chaotic,
Like the fridge. Yeah, I used to try to organize
the fridge. Nope, now it's a free for all. It's
just toss it in wherever.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
I can't do because smells. If they start to stink,
I can't do it.
Speaker 5 (26:31):
Not like old napsty food. Oh just like he drinks
are normally here, and fruits on this shelf and it
looks a little nicer. Yeah, not to the.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
Extent of fridge sk It's true anything that's true.
Speaker 5 (26:43):
But now I just and then my husband puts stuff forever.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
Well, guys, we need let go, We need to relax,
Just chill.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
It's the Valley's best mixed Next ninety six ' nine.
I'm Priscilla and it's time for a jaw dropper.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Or snock crawl. I think you dropped something my jaw.
This is so funny.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
So a reporter and Yuma was doing a report on
the number of cars that had hit a rock in
a Wendy's parking lot, and while she was doing her report,
she actually caught a car hitting the rock.
Speaker 6 (27:17):
This rock right here in the Wendy's parking lot in
the Fourtuna Foothills has been hit more times than it
can count over the last couple of months as people
take a tight turn over the curb, perhaps in a
rush for a frosty or a Wendy's floor.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
For four Yeah, it's.
Speaker 7 (27:35):
Just a fun thing and all line on TV and
there we have it. That's what the rock is famous for.
Speaker 6 (27:42):
This minivan hit the boulders so hard and moved it
from its original position as it was trying to drive
off of it.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
I mean, why is there a rock in the parking
lot as a decoration?
Speaker 1 (27:53):
Like probably a bad idea. It's looking like that rock
will be moved soon. All right, let's do this.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
If you want to go to Viva Phoenix in October
on October nineteenth in downtown Phoenix, give us a call
now six oh two two, six oh oh nine, six nine.
It's Mix ninety six nine, the Valley's Best Mix. I'm
Priscilla and Sid. You are about to be a mama.
And one thing you'll learn, very one thing you'll learn
very quickly is that your kids will humble you better
than anybody you'll ever know in your life.
Speaker 5 (28:21):
I can just see it, Like every time you bring
up with a story, I go, this is my future.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
So, my daughter Jack's her birthdays in a few weeks
and she's gonna be nine, and so we're doing a
Cloud nine themed birthday party.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Adorable, so fun. I'm so excited.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
And so we're doing the planning, and we originally were
gonna do it inside, and I was gonna hang these
like artificial clouds from the ceiling. It was gonna be
super cute, while she ultimately decided she wants the birthday
party outside because it's gonna beautiful in October.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
R Yeah. And so I texted her this morning.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
I was like, hey, just so you know, if we're
gonna do it outside, we can't hang clouds from the
ceiling anymore. And she texts me back, Okay, question Mark,
there's gonna be clouds outside, so we don't need them
hanging from the ceiling.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Dumbum. Oh my, you're so right, Jack, Sorry for big
such a dummy, like a dah hello, she is so cute.
It's okay, question.
Speaker 5 (29:19):
Mark, Like, so we'll be outside, so there will be clouds.
I mean, in your defense, we don't get.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
A lot of clothes.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
I'm looking outside right now and I don't see a
cloud in.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
The sky, baby girl, So catch me outside about that.
That's so funny, the sass, I know. So AnyWho, we
will not be hanging clouds from the ceiling, all right,
