It's Mixed ninety six nine, the Valley's Best Mixed. Priscilla
here with you, producer Sid is hanging out and all right.
You know, there's been some big changes on the Mixed
ninety six to nine Morning Show. It's one of those
things said that is really uncomfortable to talk about, but
in families you have to have uncomfortable situations and uncomfortable

(00:21):
conversations to grow. Yes, and so as of today, we
are no longer the Priscilla and Joey Show. Last week, unfortunately,
Joey is no longer with Mixed ninety six nine. It's
you know, the company had to make some big decisions
company wide across the country, and unfortunately Joey was affected

(00:43):
by that, and it came as a surprise. It came
as a surprise, so everyone, you know, first of all,
I want to say because I got some DMS and
they're like, you know, are you gonna say anything? Are
you gonna dress it? And I'm like, okay. First of all,
I've been with Mixed ninety six nine since I was
like twenty four. Sid it's crazy, so it's like twelve years.

(01:03):
I was a single mom on Mix ninety six nine.
I met Michael on Mix ninety six nine. I had
Jack's on Mix Night's I got married, literally every monumental
life moment. My my daughter dealt with mental health issues.
I shared that my dad died. I have shared on
Mix ninety six nine just in the last year. My gosh.
So yes, guys, I am gonna address this because it's

(01:25):
who I am. I am authentic, I have maintained that
authenticity and that vulnerability with you as a member of family, member,
a listener of Mix ninety six nine. So yeah, I'm
gonna address it. But it's been three days, give us
a minute like that fresh. That's how quickly and wildly
this all happened, you know, after the show on Wednesday,

(01:46):
we found out and I had to immediately go on
a flight to boot camp in San Diego. We didn't
have time to think. It happened so quickly, and I
hadn't even seen my family, my kids, my husband, anybody,
and so so yeah, I want to you know, we
needed to figure things out and regroup before we're like
talking about it. So I had nothing to do with

being you know, insensitive or not addressing it. It's just like,
let's regroup, you know, this is the first time we've
been together. Yeah, everything went down exactly, which is just
so crazy, so wild, because you and I haven't even
had a chance to regroup, and so there is a
lot happening. You know. It is a very unfortunate situation
because at the end of the day, you know, we

(02:29):
cared about Joey, you know, we wish him and his family. Well,
I had a chance to send him a message and
let him know, like, hey, you know, I'm so sorry,
like I I just I don't even know how to
process this, like just know I'm thinking about you. And
he responded it was very you know, it was very nice.
And it's just it's a bummer all the way around.
But also it is we're here to you know, make

your morning a little bit lighter. Yes, you and I
are going to try to push forward and make this
show great and fun and still out there and support
our community and and be a part of all of
the amazingness that makes Mix ninety six y nine, you know,
And I'm excited for that piece of it because at
the end of the day, life will give you a
deck of cards, and you have to play with the

cards that you're dealt. Yeah, and absolutely, and these are
the cards that we're dealt, and we're gonna play the
best hand that we can and have fun while we're
doing it, and just honor the you know, mission of
being great and doing the best we can in the morning.
