right O Roofing, Daytona International Speedwayand Talladega Superspeedway, David Busters and Homestead
my EMI Speedway. It's the racingnuts, your window into the machine that
(00:51):
is NASCAR and hr in decor,I'm oh can with your host, Steve?
Do you want to touch my monkeyshow? I'm Steve. I have
Lisa and Big Al sitting there withme. How's everybody doing this morning?
(01:15):
We're doing good. We're having ahell of a rainstorm coming through here right
now in Lake Placid. I cantell you that I don't feel a thing
well. I have to say HappyFather's Day to everybody. Happy Father's Day,
even to you Scott. Happy Fathersdayto all you fathers out there.
It's a Father's Day special. We'regonna do things a little bit different.
Not a lot going on because theTruck Series, the Affinity Series, and
the Cup Series are all off thisweekend. Yeah, and I believe IndyCars
(01:38):
off this weekend too, are they. Yeah, you said the wrong.
Good. It should be happy Father'sDay, all you mothers. That's exactly
right. You know. That's whywe celebrate both Mother's Day and Father's Day.
If you guys want to call theshow, we're gonna ask you do
something different. Um, We're gonnaask you what's your best Father's Day story.
I'm sure big Al has one.I have one if you want to
call it and tell us your Father'sDay story. It doesn't necessarily have to
(01:59):
be a rasing because his mind isnot. But you can cause at four
oh seven nine one six eight twofive five is a matter of fact.
I got two and they both involvedfishing off the coast in deep, deep
deep water. Eight hundred and seventwo nine eight two five five Two Fathers
Day events that happened, and theywere pretty crazy out big out. You
got a Father's Day event that waspretty good. Mine was a fishing deal
(02:20):
too. Well. They tell mewe went, we took a drift boat
down before Father's Day or the Father'sDay weekend. It was I think it
was whatever it fell on. Mikeyand Maryannemy and we went out on the
late one and I happened to benext to a guy with a Winston jacket
on a nice beautiful red Winston joe. Yeah yeah yeah, and uh yeah,
(02:45):
man, I got this and hewas annohily, did you know what
I'm saying? And they usually getthat way on the drift boat and uh,
Mike, he caught a black tipshark. What yeah, that guy
with the Winston jacket, he caughta buzz. Hey, he got a
buzz And we caught a black tipshark. And I said, hey,
man, hey, man, wegotta we got a shark on the line.
(03:06):
And guys, I don't know whatyou gotta say. We got a
shark on the line. So anyway, brought the shark up, he says,
I said, give my hand,my kid a hand bringing it in
the boat. He said, I'mgonna cut the line. I said,
you ain't cutting the line, dog, Yeah, I said, I'm bringing
this say in because it's I gotthe big fish deal going. You know
what I'm saying. He cut theline, Yeah, cut the line.
Yeah we don't want yeah yeah, yeah, No, we ain't cutting the
(03:28):
line, I say, Mike,Mikey I say, you you bring this
thing up. I'm grabbing the tail. We're bringing the thing in the boat.
Yeah. So I told the guynext to me with the Annihili,
the guy with the Winston cup jacketon, the Whiston jacket on, and
says, hey, move out ofthe way. I'm bringing the shark in.
I want the shark. And he'slooking at me like I got three
eyes in my head. And soMikey yokes him up. I grabbed the
(03:52):
tail, the thing swinging back andforth and everything. Guess what, he
grabs his Winston jacket. It's brandnew Whiston jacket and it decides to hold
onto that and rip the sleeve rightoff of it. That's, oh yeah,
his day's story there. Oh yeah, and the guy's mad at me.
(04:14):
Now, now the guys your fatbecause you brought that dang shark into
the boat. Listen, yeah, sharks, it was. It was really
cool because it had the guy's jacket. Well, listen, sharks lose their
teeth and if you cut the lines, not gonna hurt the sharkts gonna fall.
Yeah, but I would listen, dude, the pot was big.
The pot was big, so theydidn't give me the pot because you know
(04:40):
what they said, that's not afish, it's a shark. I said,
you know, you guys splitting hair, fish splitting hairsplitting hairs. The
fin goes in the back from sideto side. That's a fish. A
mamma goes up and down. Itis a fish. A shark is a
fish. So you should have wonthe pot. Yeah. So anyway,
guess what I told the guys said, an't you listen, man, for
your trouble with this. You canhave the pot. Yeah, and I
(05:02):
already knew they weren't going to giveit to me. I said, you
can have the money. Yeah,he can buy a jacket. You can
buy a jacket. Already I alreadyknew they weren't giving it to me.
So I beat feet off the boatwith whatever we caught, because what's that.
Did you take the shark with you? No? No, no,
I let the shot. Let themhave the shark cut because I told a
(05:23):
guy he could have the money, and they were going to keep the shark.
You can have the money from thefrom the deal there, from the
pot. Yeah, but they didn'tgive him the pot and they didn't give
him the shark neither. And Iwas beating feet out of there to get
back in my truck to leave.Happy Father's Day. Big. It's a
pretty good story there. If youguys have your Father's Day story, give
us a call. At four ohseven nine one, six eight two fives.
(05:45):
I heard Scott say something, butI didn't. It was probably least
over here. Well, Indy car, you're gonna pass it for me?
The one Well you said there isno Indy car racing. There is there
an Indy car race? Yeah, yeah, there is. I'm I stood
outcast road al Clark Lake. Thisis why you have a wife that you've
been married to. And that's father'sback about it, all right, um.
(06:11):
Practice number one in Formula one inthe Canadian Grand Prix vows how valtari
Botas. I haven't said his namein so long I forgot how to say
it. Valtari Botas topped the timecharts in a disrupted first practice session.
Okay, Pierre Ghastly had a mechanicalissue with his car and stopped dead on
the track and he was unable tochange gears. And while Gasty's car had
(06:32):
you know, moved from the sideof the track, the session was the
stall was was still resumed due toissues with vocal CCTV around the circus.
So I guess if they don't havecameras that can't continue running on the track,
I guess they say for safety reasons. That's kind of crazy, right,
and that's kind of goofy. Well, you got all these guys with
(06:53):
the get six guys at each cornerwith all these yellow and well, let
me ask you a question. Thecameras don't work. I mean, we
watched the Formula one cars and thecameras don't work inside the car. They
should have used that something I don'tknow, but they've canceled it and ended
up you know, the last tenminutes they said, okay, you guys
can go back out, and thenall said it's raining. Now, what
are we gonna do? Go outthere with the rain tires and try to
(07:15):
do a you know, practice didn'twork. So due to the delaye FP
two be brought forward a half anhour or they given an extra half an
hour to be a ninety minute session, And looks like they went out there
and I think they did practice numbertwo, but or us it's right now,
excuse go ahead, least yeah, propelling red bull right, unprecedented success
(07:36):
leads to arrow efficiency, the biggeststrength of two thousand and twenty three and
also infamous for images Red Bull fone car for exposes. Yeah. Different.
See they brought that car up inthe air and Mercedes had a good
look at it and says, Iwait a minute, you're doing something with
the belly of that car up underneath. So now they have a little conflict
(07:58):
going on between Mercedes and Red Bulland what are they doing to the undercarriage
of the car. And I thinkI had a chance to see it on
TV. Pretty cool, huh bigThey looked they might have the red year.
They probably have directionals or something underneaththat thing. Those winds. Yeah,
you gotta figure out something. Youcan't get caught. Who's gonna lift
up the car to look at it? In tech? Not big al,
(08:20):
No way. Mercedes Benz is buzzingwith new energy since they had a double
podium in Spain, and looks likeLewis Hamilton was offered a contract update.
So he said, we've been talkingto me and Toto been talking back and
forth about this new contract extension, you know from Mercedes regarding some Mercedes and
he said, I've seen total wetalked several times when we have a great
relationship, but there's nothing else tosay at this moment. And that came
(08:43):
from Lewis Hamilton himself and in practiceum too. I guess who was leading
practice too, Lewis Hamilton and GeorgeRussell right behind him to two Mercedes Silver
arrows more back up at the topof the second practice at the Canadian Grand
Prix. So they're doing something andshe changed on the floor. I mean
(09:03):
they changed the floor. It seemsthat Red Bull had long switched their focus.
They switched their focus in practice twofor the long run kind of deal.
So they set the car up differentand they weren't looking to, you
know, be the fastest in practice. They put them on medium tires and
they left Max Verstappen and his teammateSergio Perez and sixth and eighth spots in
practice two. So not a lotgoing on. The Canadian P two was
(09:24):
done under rainy conditions. So let'ssee what happens today for Canada and P
three. After two weeks off,we had a Grand Prix of Canada in
Montreal. It's this weekend. JacquesVillaneu's track over there, Lisa, Yeah,
after his death in nineteen eighty two, Belgium JP track named in his
honor, the Karat L Clark HonorsGillis villain View, Canadian GP Helmet Tribute.
(09:48):
His helmet scored his maiden victory forthe Italian team at the first Montreal
F one event. Jacques, sohe's teen seventy eight. Well, the
tracks named after him too, Yeah, that's what I said, named him
and then honor. There you go. I thought he bought it. I
didn't know anyway, guys, HomesteadMiami's people has something going on over two
(10:09):
hundred and seventy eight days a year, sick out the calendar at Homestead Miami
Speedway dot com. There's always somethinggoing on. Me and now we've been
out there personally, and we couldtell you they got the Miami what's that?
They bring all the hot rods outthere. They've been ferraris and all
this stuff. Exotic, Miami exotic. They're out there and me and Big
out did that or Big I don'tdid that. I had a lot of
(10:31):
fun driving an Audi R eight onthe road course at Homestead Miami Speedway.
So I got Homestead Miami Speedway dotCom. There's over two hundred and seventy
eight days of something happening all yearlong. It's not just the one race
a year. And then tickets aregoing to go on pretty soon for the
big race at Homestead Miami Speedway inOctober, and there'll be special packages like
the one last year with Ryan Blaneyand Bubba Wallace. It was a Q
and a ticket package. We'll letyou know how that's going as we get
(10:54):
closer to it. And I've beenin communication with Daytona already and we've already
secured a lot of cool things foryou guys for the Race of Daytona,
which is August the twenty six,and we'll be down in Daytona at David
Busters Orlando and David Buster's Daytona. Now I have my own Father's Day story.
I got one of two. Anyway, you guys can call the show.
(11:15):
It's four oh seven nine one sixeight two five five or eight hundred
seven two nine eight two five fiveif you want to tell us you're a
cool Father's Day story. One day, Lisa and I were way down in
the keys. We were down inum Let's see which key was a key
Largo, I believe it was,and We went to the big park there,
John Pennycamp Park, and we wentway out past molasses reef and past
(11:35):
everything. There's nobody out there butme and Lane. We're past us,
past the first ship in lane. We're out there at the second ship in
lane and we're just trolling for dolphin. We're trying to get some dolphin,
not porpoise. Don't get your mindon mahi mahi. Dolphin and porpoise are
two different things. Porpoise is amam ol. Their tail goes up and
down. Dolphin and goes side toside like Big Al's shark. Okay,
(11:56):
it's a fish, Okay. Ijust want to make sure people don't think
we're going out there trying to catchup Fliphurd. We don't do that.
So we're me and Lisa are outthere by ourselves. Right. We got
I got the biggest fish I evergot in my entire life. He must
have been a good seventy pounder man. And I'm pulling him. I caught
him and I couldn't get him in, So I said, you would have
(12:16):
driven the boat. But wait aminute. When the person grabs the pole,
big out and he's the one tobring it up to the boat.
Is that the person who caught it. Yes't was too big. But then
I told Lisa, get the gaff, get the gases. She gets our
big six foot you know, aluminumpole gas. I never gas. And
she swings this thing and sticks thefish in the side of the belt instead
(12:39):
of putting it in the gill. And fish went ape, you know what.
And he just pulled the gaff andalmost Lisa with him, broke the
line and went to the bottom ofthe ocean. And I said, happy
Father's Day. That was so niceone. But it got away. You're
supposed to put it under his gill, and helped bring him up inside the
boat. He was too big,all I saw with this big eye looking
(13:01):
at me. Yeah. Yeah, that was the big one, the big
one that got on Father's Day.There you go, you guys have your
Father's Day store. I have onemore to go. And it was it
was bad, but it was goodanyway. It was out in the ocean
too. Four oh seven nine onesix eight two five five or eight hundred
and seven two nine eight two fivefive. If you have not been out
deep sea fishing where you can't seeland anymore, and you're going by the
(13:22):
old nautical rules of watching the starsand watching the sun and seeing you know,
how to get back without all thisnew fancy stuff. There's nothing like
it in the whole world. Youcan get all messed up and you could
have a great time either. Ohoh my god. That was a whole
another story, but it was noton Father's Day, so we're only doing
Father's Day stories. Four oh seven, nine, one, six, eight,
(13:43):
two, five five. We gottatake a break really quick when we
get back. Indy Car Alex Blue. He is on a heat wave right
now. He's doing an incredible joband he's gonna be somebody to be reckoned
with as we get closer to theend of the season. It won't be
will Pile or taking it out thelast race. I don't think. I
think that it'll be Alex Blue allthe way down the line. We'll be
right back with more racing. That'sbig al on the rahaig. How's gonna
(14:07):
do it? Go ahead, bigut, you can do it? No,

here's our biggest fan. Now we'regonna top to Brian writing right away.
It's Talladega's president. I want tothank you, thank you for having me
on, thank you for all youdo for racing, and thank you for
all you do for NASCAR, Talladega, Daytona Homestead. You know this Southeast
(18:15):
region here we have unbelievable races, unbelievable racing. Then we appreciate all you
do for us. Let's run puttingnice of Brian crit and a president of
Taaladega to put that out for us. Um, let's get right back to
at least Ox Pillu. He's ridinga speedy heat wave into the summer stretch.
You want hot, take Alex Pillu'stemperature because he's super hot right now.
(18:37):
He's a champion, he's a previouschampion. He knows what he's doing.
I think he's won like three ofthe last four races. He's done
an excellent job. But he probablywould have won the Indy five hundred it
wasn't for a Rena's VK that spuninto him on Pitt Road on Latin ninety
four. Yeah. Yeah, ittook him right out of the race.
It was pretty bad for him,but he did fight back and he ended
up I think it was fourth placeor that was not bad at all for
a guy who got wiped out inthe pack. He came he did.
(19:00):
He did, but he did notwin, so uh kind of takes him
out of it. But he's notcool at all. He's super hot right
now. So watch Alex Palu thisweekend at Grand the Grand Priot Road America.
The place has been repaved and itis super fast. It's so fast
that Alexander Rossi finds the fastest laneon the new Road America's surface, and
I believe he is going to breakthe track record. There's gonna be a
(19:25):
breaking track record. You know whathappens once they smooth that puppy out,
boom, they go flying down throughthere with the new surfaces raising all the
speed limits. At Road America thisweekend, it's gonna be a great race.
They're qualifying right or excuse to bethey're practicing right now. They will
qualify at one fifty five today Easterntimes. So the past eight Road America
races have been won by Scott Dixontwice, Joseph Newgarten twice, will power
(19:48):
Alexander Rossie and Alex Palou. Sowatch out for the red hot Alex Palou.
He's won before here he can doit. It's gonna be crazy to
see these guys the speed has tobe increased, like Lisa was saying,
and it remains to be seen, but this weekend will certainly be the fastest
P one award at this track sincethe sport unified with the Champ Car series
back in two thousand and eight. You know who holds the record right now,
(20:11):
Helio Castro America for IndyCars tomorrow. And I was thinking that IndyCar was
off after I did all this studyand my mind is in a million different
places, but it's actually the nhrA that's off. Lisa. Do you
have anything to add with IndyCar?No, alright, I do have the
last week justin Ashley swept all topFuel honors last he did great Bristol Dragon,
(20:36):
you know what I mean. Andeven be a Schumacher I believe in
one of the last rounds really arebeat our host Tony Schumacher and Ron caps
One again, Erica Andrews and SteveJohnson and Pro Bike. Last weekend they
were in Thunder Valley, Bristol,Tennessee. This weekend they're off and they
want to say happy Father's Day weekendall the fathers out there. Another tidbit
from last weekend and Twin Brown joinsan exclusive club with eight hundred career round
(21:00):
wins. Last week in Bristol,he drove his Maco Tool Dragster to a
run around finish. In the process, he became the sixth NHLRA pro to
hit the eight hundred round wins record. Really cool next weekend the nhr A
what's up, Big Hum, Isaid, great for him? That's good.
Really, he's a great guy.He's a really good guy. A
part of the show. Yeah, love to have him on the show and
(21:21):
great guys. Go to YouTube andgo to Racing Nuts TV pilot. You'll
see me an antron in his garage. We spoke for a while back in
the day, but we always speakand uh yeah, I got a cell
phone number. Well, I've seenhim a few times at the pr R
show when I've been up there inthe indie you know what I mean for
that. He's always here, lovesracing, got the boys out there racing
in the smaller, the smallest circuitsand stuff, and he's really busy.
(21:45):
That's why we never get him onthe show anymore. Plus being a team
owner changes everything, right, BigHum yep yep, sure does eight hundred,
eight hundred qualifying wins. That's prettydarn good. The Summit Racing Equipment
NHRA nationals are at the Summit RacingEquipment Motorsports Parking, Norwalk, Ohio.
Next weekend, the nhl RA hasto Ohio. It's gonna be great to
see them in Ohio. Um,Lisa, Yes, I did have another
(22:08):
Father's Day story. You ready forthis? If you guys have Another's Day
story, it's four US four hseven nine one six eight two five five
or eight hundred seven two nine eighttwo five five. I've been a father
for a long time. So Ihave two boys, and so Lisa and
I and the two boys. Wewere out off of Fort Lauderdale on our
boat. We used to go tothe boat every weekend. It was my
only escape to get away from everything. So we're off the shore of Fort
(22:32):
Lauderdale, maybe about twenty miles out. We didn't have to go that far.
We went out that far just becausewe say, hey, you know,
what's nice, let's just go troll. Lisa's usually falling asleep on the
front of the boat. We're lookingfor the seaweed line. We're looking for
the big seaweed line, you know, so you gotta go pretty far out
there to find him. You know, we found this huge seaweed line.
I mean there must have been aboutone hundred yards wide, you know,
big big one, you know.So I'm on the back side of it,
(22:55):
you know, the the ocean sideof it. And we got our
three poles out there, and twoof them boo boo, go off,
they go, oh no, getgrabbing some. Both of my sons grabbed
the poles. I see the fishare running towards the seaweed line, and
they're big ones. They're big bulls, you know, big goffin bulls there,
I mean mahi mahe bulls. Incase you guys didn't know what a
doffing was. They're really big,big fish, like the biggest ones we
(23:15):
ever caught, you know. Andmy son Stephen, he lets it go
towards the seaweed line and the linebreaks. I put the boat, I
put the boat in reverse, andI'm going as full blasted to that seaweed
line. And I stopped right beforethe seaweed line because I don't want all
that crap, you know, caughtup and say, you never know,
if there's you don't want it upthere in the lower reunit. No,
yeah, you don't want none ofthat stuff in there. So my son
Chris, he it's only took himmore than six minutes. He pulled this
(23:38):
bull all the way up into theboat. It was a sixty eight pounder,
the biggest fish we ever caught onthe boat. It was a happy
Father's Day that day and we madeeighteen filets out of that bad boy.
It was a monster. So anyway, there's our father's Day story from the
Racy Nuts Show. If you haveyour Father's Day story, make sure you
call us. It's eight hundred seventwo nine eight for the Truck Series last
(24:00):
weekend they raced, or was aweekend before that wasn't at least yeah,
yeah it was. It was acouple of weekends ago. They you know,
it seems that opportunistic grand in Figurewins been time Majesty and Zane Smith
wrecked on the front of the fieldthere and in Finger grabbed his second Truck
Series victory of the season in thelast race at Worldwide Technology Raceway, and
(24:22):
Corey him because he was sick lastweek. It didn't really make a big
difference. He's still on top ofthe points. Time Mad Jesty his second
Grand Infinger third Zane Smith fourth andBen Rhodes is fifth. The Truck series
says Happy Father's Day to all thefathers. The Craftsman Truck Series is off
until Friday, the June twenty third, at Nashville's Superspeedway. Okay, Exfenity
Series news, guys, Happy Father'sDay for the Expenity Series. Everybody's saying
(24:45):
Happy Father's Day. Eric Amarolo snackshis first road course win in Sonoma.
It was cool to see him whenhe held off Kyle Larson until Larson made
until Larson made a mistake, andthen he outran aj Almandinger for the final
lapse. Almarolla won last Saturday's ExpinitySeries race, and the win was almar
Rolla's fourth in the Exfinity Series andhis first his twenty seventeen when he won
at Talladega. Do you seek Ithink to add to the Exfinity Series.
(25:07):
Yeah, NASCAR penalizes number twenty oneteam Richard Childress. But lug nut violation,
you know we got. I gota couple of violations last week,
but it's not in the Exfinity Series. It was in the Cup Series.
I'll get to that. Let's see. The win was also his first ever
for the Georgia based RSS Racing, which fields cars for brothers Ryan and Kyle
(25:30):
Siege, which Ryan and Kyler areboth good friends of the show. The
Stewart horse Racing Shop prepared that carfor Almarola. Maybe they just grabbed the
car and brought it over to theStewart horse Racing Shop and prepared that car
for Almarola. So that's that's tellingyou something about the preparation that's going on
at RSS Racing. Maybe it's notup to par with the rest of these
guys. And you know, ifyou don't get the car right, it's
(25:52):
not competitive, right, big huhright right, you definitely right about that.
So Tampa Zone Ic Almarola, thankgod. He wanted to find the
victory lane. He said. It'snot really a Cup Series win, but
it's a win and it's very hardto win in these road courses. And
his last road course he went outthere in Race Exfinity he got ended up
twenty fourth, So he's really happyto get himself a win. Good friend
of the show. He's the Cubanguy himself from Tampa. Eric amar Rolla,
(26:17):
Um, he is the Cuban guyand he's like the only Cuban guy
to ten there right now. Andhe's a good friend of the show.
And uh heck, we went tolunch with him several times right for great
guy in person. And I justat the last Homestead race, I just
had being Lisa sat there with himand his son. He had his son.
Yeah, and his son says,I'm the next one in the race
car. So yeah, he's he'slike the clan, says Ajian. He's
(26:41):
from Tampa and he's a great guy. Eric amar rolla great biffles hoping to
run an Exfinity Series race in Portlandin twenty twenty four. You know you
haven't seen it. Well, helives in Vancouver, Washington. It's like
a stone slow away from p iR. But you know he and he
owns a plane too. The guygoes flying all over the place. You
don't even need any thing, youknow. But I got a really cool
dog story coming up, Big.I know how you are with dogs,
(27:03):
with chili and all that. Sowe got a cool NASCAR dog story coming
up. In the Cup Series playoffsstandings after Sonama Austin Hill, He's John
Hunter Emancheck Justin al got a ColeCuster, Chandler Smith and Sammy Smith.
You know out of the playoff cutline right now is Parker Klinghaman Brandon Jones,
Brett Moffatt and Ryan Sigg. Theyneed to take that car over there
to Stuart Hoss Racing. Ryan Sig, doesn't that thing prepared for him before
(27:26):
he goes? Let me ask youa question, m when we get to
the cup, y'all, have weheard anything else from the Dylan kid?
And uh and that deal there wherehe wanted what's his name? There's uh
despended for a race? Oh no, not one thing. Nothing came out,
and I guess everybody just decided totake the week off and there wasn't
(27:47):
a lot of stuff going on,you know, So I got a cool
dog story to make up for it. Though I know we're all dog lovers,
Lisa, you're a big dog lover. We got dude right, yeah,
Yeah, dude's a big boy. He's over one hundred pounds. Man.
We take him out to the racetracks once in a while. I
look for dude when we hand upover there at David Busters or anywhere we
go to guys. Sometimes we takethe old Uster with us. Uh.
Expinity series is off until Nashville,Okay, and BLP Racing Products, Guys,
(28:12):
I've done almost everything to the car, Lisa knows. We're working on
that car all week long. It'salmost ready, but not quite read.
You have Johnny working on I said, we, I said, I'm handing
him driver. Yeah, he's shootingover in the chair. Hey, Johnny
wanted about miss somebody for this. And Johnny has a new car event.
(28:33):
He says, this is why Idon't drive mine all the time because if
it breaks, it so hard tofix. Four vets are super hard to
fix. So we're to the pointnow we're radyed to You got this.
You got a place to put atoolbox in the back of that thing.
We take of her drive. Everything'schanged, big guy. It's like a
brand new car when we pulled outof the garage. You ain't. Hey,
Chris got him a hot rod.Yeah, Chris got himself a little
trans am boy and U you know, H three trans and he's all happy
(28:56):
with that. But I'm waiting formy parts from BLP Racing Products. They
manufacture high quality performance engine parts, including engine accessory, drift components, Holly
Modified Racing carburetors, and fuel injectionsystems. Now, that's what I'm waiting
for. Holly is preparing me acomplete fuel injection system and air intake for
my corvette. So I'll let youguys know when it comes. I think
(29:18):
it's a twenty third supposed to behere, which is like next week,
So it should be here and we'llstart putting all that cool stuff onto that
corvette. And BLP off of specialh services for their customers. Confidentiality to
the customers is paramount with BLP Racingguys. BLP Racing Products is at ten
fifteen West Church Street in Orlando. You can call him at four oh seven
four two two zero three nine four. And BLP Racing Products is fueling your
(29:42):
possessions, your position as action, passion for extreme performance. BLP Racing Products.
If you want to call the showand eight stuff just called BLP.
They got it all. Tell Joethat the racing that sense four O seven
four two two zero three nine four, and I'll let you know how all
(30:02):
that Holly stuff that was built upin Bowling Green, Kentucky should be at
the house here pretty soon. Andnot to hire Johnny again to put it
all together. Tell them anyway ColinShow four oh seven nine, one,
six, eight, two five fivethe Cup Series. Last weekend, Martin
Truex Junior was on a rail, did an excellent job. I think that's
like, guess fourth and I'm awinning my right, big un Yeah,
(30:23):
yeah, I think it is hisfourth one it is. He's done really
good out there, but on fire. He's on fire, is you know?
Kyle Bush just couldn't catch up tohim. And the one of one
thing I want to say to youguys is I'm looking up. But listen,
Kyle Busch had another great weekend,so I meant watch that boy he's
in. He's in championship right,Hey, what's up with the McLaren custom
(30:48):
stuff all over his chevrolet? Isthat telling you something about McClaren maybe getting
involved in NASCAR? All over KyleBush's card? Said McLaren, I don't
know what that's all about, butthat's kind of weird. Joey Logan on,
I'm just saying it's a sponsor, but McLaren, you know who McLaren
is. Come on a least youshould know. Yeah, no, it
McClaren. It's a grill. Yeah, they say it's a grill. McClaren,
(31:11):
what's going on behind the scenes. And Joey mcgonald was looking for a
new car because he had an AutoTrader ford all over his car. You
never know if he's on Auto Traderlooking for he's looking to get rid of
him. Maybe he needs to callCarbon and get rid of a few of
this whole rides he's got. Yeah, we got done from Connecticut. I'm
with Auto Trader. There you go. Yeah, Chase Elliott came back out,
did pretty good. Uh, makinga little pit stop there that stayed
(31:33):
him in fifth spot over there aj I'm a thing of the real course
Champ himself, he couldn't get pastsixth. Michael mcdowells seventh, Kyle Larson
eighth, Christopher Bell nine and RossChass Team big as great guy, tenth
place, not bad, not badrunning for him so into nobody. They
all rain into him. That's amazing. And I think that the luster is
going away from from Ross Chats teamright now. I don't understand why.
(31:56):
But no, he's he's he's he'sjust minding his pecent. Listen, if
he doesn't win a race, he'llget in on points. Isn't it funny
how all these guys that one raceis last year in these cars aren't even
hot this year. It's called aslumping Well, I'm just saying. I'm
just saying, it's just you seehow the news wore off on these cars,
(32:16):
right, everybody's got notes on him, now, yeah they do.
That's been about what six months now, and they're trying to figure it all
out, big out, Are yougonna be ready to take us to a
commercial break with what we're supposed tosay here? I know Lisa said she
needed a break and she said it'sFather's Day. Give him the accolades for
today. We get back. We'regonna talk about not just talk about it
really quick here. Tyler Reddick halfflat tire, decided to go across the
(32:38):
you know the field there and comeback in. He would around so the
caution didn't come out right, andhe wanted to get off the tracks.
It was tired and all the rubberwasn't slung all over the place of causing
a caution. And guess what,NASCAR gives him a penalty. What's up
with that? Well, you knowit was a drive through, wasn't it.
No, he has a draft throughpenalty, which really messed in my
(32:59):
bat out. You know the rulesof the rules. I don't think the
drive to really hurt him, didit well? If you want to lap
around? They say that he cameout before he would have came out if
he went the lap around and thencame in. They fixed the tire.
But if he did that, hewould have threw car parks and tire stuff
all over the track. Oh no, no, no, it was up.
It was a fifteen or something likethat ry and it just ruined the
(33:22):
rest of it, and it wouldhave ruined the race. I thought he
did an excellent whoever thought of it, he thought of it on the fly
like that. He did a greatjob. But they said no penalty boy,
come here, you don't have todo a drive through. That messed
up the rest of the race forhim. So sometimes I don't know about
these rules and stuff. All right, we're gonna get back and we're gonna
talk about the racing nuts, andwe're gonna talk about all the cool stuff,
(33:43):
especially the dogs. And Richard Childis'sracing has some stuff to do them
with US military veterans for Atlanta MotorSpeedway, which is pretty cool. And
David Wilson from the TRD president ofToyoto Racing Development President says Jimmy Johnson will
run a Toyota in twenty twenty four. That's gonna be seen JJ in the
Toyota. He's breaking all the rules. Boy. Okay, Oh, We'll

of the partnership with Richar Petty Racingis so he does run a couple of
races during the year, but nextyear he's changing from Chevrolet to Toyota and
his co owned Legacy Motor clubs andhe's gonna switch at the end of this.
So it is Richard Petty going toToyota next year too, Hey,
(40:34):
gonna buy a Toyota camera guy,Yes, he is. He's gonna do
it all the way. So Inever thought Richard Petty going with him.
Furners, No, man, heused to be a plymouth man all the
way. You know, playmouth board, jim the Toyota's over here, Ram
Pontiacs because now he's in the theYoda now he's gonna have a yoda.
(40:55):
He's gonna have a yoda. Yes, I don't know. They've been talking
to him, but they never seemto come to the plate, so it
never really dodge. Yeah, dogs, they don't come back. That's because
right Everham left. Yeah yeah, yeah, but listen, listen what little

guys, it's four oh seven nineone six eight two five five or eight
hundred and seven two nine eight twofive five seen this how it's Father's Day
weekend. And we love dogs.I know about y'all. We love dogs.
I love dogs. Scott loves dogs. Lisa big out everybody. You've
(41:37):
got dogs all your life though, right likeways, I'm a cat person.
Yeah, and my mom would notlisten who said that? Scott Scott cat
person. I got a couple ofcats too. I'm with Scott because my
parents wouldn't let me have a dogwhen I'm at Lisa. You're right.
My parents, my parents never letme have a dog. Now I always
have me have a dog. Andso I was fifty five years old,
(42:00):
Tommy chewe home and I got myfirst dog at d Yeah. Once I
left home, then I always hada dog. But I was I have
nothing but yeah, and you knowwhat, we just bought another little kitty
home shopcat. My shop cat hadkittens, and uh we we got rid
of the four they had shed five. I brought the run home. I
(42:22):
brought the run home, a littleblack male kitty. I inherited three cats.
Sound good, yanky kitty, Jesusfour times big out. Sound good.
When you say I got rid ofthem, you didn't get rid of
the cats gave him the good homes? No, no, no, no,
we took we took him to ashelter, a no kill shelter,
(42:43):
and they they they got had homesfrom him for him within a week.
Okay, there you go. That'sa better stories that we just got rid
of those cats and we get nono, no, no, I got
Peter. You see on TV wherethey drop them off a bridging a soccer.
Listen, listen, don't say okay, because we're all cat lovers here,
we're dog lovers doing a lot ofthe guys in NASCAR our dog levers.
(43:07):
You know how you spoil your dog? Lisa, I always told her
there's never gonna be no dog onmy dank bed. Man. Dude's all
over my bed. He's a hugebedhog. I got a king size bed.
He kicks me off at all thetime. Yeah, now gets right
between me and Maryanne. And thecats do the same thing. The cats
are in the bed and chow he'sin the bed. You ain't got room
to move. Okay. Well, you know when drivers go away to the
(43:29):
race tracks, they like to taketheir dogs with him, and we really
don't get to see a lot ofthat. But the story came out and
it was really cool about the dogs. Now, Eric Jones his dog flies
to the racing style. His nameis Oscar. He's an eighty five pound
drummer shepherd. He sits in hisown seat on the team charter next to
Jones and Oscar. He likes thewindow seat. He likes he likes to
stare out the window and he watches. As long as you're flying along and
(43:52):
Eric Jones playing there, Oscar isamong several dogs that travel with cup drivers
throughout the season, providing a senseof home and companionship at the track.
Jones says he's a good dog. He's calm and listens well and he helps
out a lot. He makes alot of he makes. He makes a
lot of the other dogs dirvers becausehe's a big old dog. He's a
big l eighty five pounder. Butyou know, Ricky Stenhouse has a dog
(44:15):
name Ruby now for about a yearand a half in Steenhouse said that she's
pretty chill even at home. She'snot torn up, no furiture or anything
like that. My dog is overthere going to a nightmare or something in
the back of I don't know whatthat is. Ruby travels with Stenhouse and
his wife to most of the racesand lets it's a long flight and he
said. Ricky Stenhouse said, Ilove having Ruby with us, and Ruby
(44:36):
joined him and his wife in VictoryLane after winning last year's Daytona five hundred
is not not cool, that's great. Yeah, yeah, you get the
dog out in their head. Justpart of my family. Boy get away
from a dog. So whenever theydon't put yeah, Tom used to put
Chewie in the car with him anddrive him around the dirt track. That's
it. And you know, theydid realize that when the dog's not with
him, they really miss her,so yeah, you know, they try
(44:59):
to take her all the time.Harrison Burton has a Golden Retriever named Remy,
and she's about a year and ahalf old. Other than a brief
period, a brief period where shetore up some molding where Jeff Burton lived,
she's been calm and she's been gotteninto the getting into race gear and
stuff, and so he dressed herup and stuff. So she's always carry's
toys around with no shoes. Theydon't let her get into the shoes,
(45:19):
but Burton says it's a great thingto have the dog in the track.
And actually Burton's dog and Stenhouse dogsare really good buddies. Whenever they're around
each other, it's chaos, butthey have a good time at the track.
Ryan Blanney and his girlfriend have twodogs. They bring them both to
the track and uh, Blanney says, I don't have any children yet,
so these aren't my children, andthey really are right big out they're like
your kid. Yeah, I gotI got a bunch of four legged children,
(45:39):
and as the Father's Day, Iwas thinking, you know, let's
we got all these racing stories allthe time. But man's best friend not
woman's best friend. Man's best friendisn't that week. So we got doggy
stories coming out of the kazally righthere. Blanney got um sturgy when in
two thousand and eight when he wassingle and he goes, he's my guy.
I brought him lots of times tothe race track when I was single,
(46:00):
and I wanted him to come tothe track with me as kind of
a someone to hang out with, you know, so it was really cool
to hang out. And uh,let's see a Sturgil, a Labrador German
Shepherd mix has joined blaming in VictoryLane. Also, that's pretty cool bringing
a dog to Victory lane. CaseBiscoe and his wife have three dogs.
Two are French bulldogs Ricky Calley, and one's a great dame. My God
(46:21):
had taken a great Dame in thetrack. That's pretty cool. Briscoe say,
yeah, Ricky could be feisty whileCamellos relaxed them. Blue is a
massive, super lazy dog. Allof them get along well and they have
they kind of do their own thingwhen they go to the track. Is
that not cool? Stories about thedog he's up? Yeah, yeah,
one more Alex Bowman. He hastwo dogs. Roscoe. We used to
have a dog named Roscoe. It'sa brown lot while the German shepherd and
(46:44):
Boss brought. Bowman rescued Roscoe intwenty thirteen, and Finn is a black
Labrador that Bowman has hats this twentyseventeen. Bowman's favorite story is walking with
them at the track that involves fans. He said that the driver owner of
the lot in Darlington has no grass, so he had to walk him behind
the area in a grassy place, you know. But he was picking up
dog, you know what, witha dog poopy bag, and a bunch
(47:07):
of the fans wanted autographs and Ikind of got stuck in the crowd.
So Boma said, I have tohave a NASCAR fan hold the doggy poopy
bag while I signed all kinds ofstuff because he didn't have enough hands to
sign all this stuff. So doggypoopy bags and Dolly's World and Man's Best
Friend it's a dog's world, andNASCAR guys and that we have dude,
like we said, we love enjoyhaving all that. Now Fox is finished
(47:30):
with NASCAR for the rest of theseason. It seems NBC USA and Peacock
broadcasting coverage returns and it started nextweekend, I believe in Nashville, which
will be NBC. Do you haveany Chicago stories yet? No, they're
just trying to search the fans outin Chicago and how they're gonna pick their
favorite drive. Well, I say, Ross, Lisa, big out,
(47:53):
Ross Chas Taine has been practicing onhis eye racing thing. You really can't
go on the streets of practice townstreets, downtown streets of Chicago. Okay,
so they've already got They've already gotsomething mapped out on the computer on
a deal where you can drive thestreets already, and Rosin has been practicing
(48:13):
on it, so as several otherdrivers. I wonder if the roads are
really rough there since they come on, man, come on, listen,
listen. Do you see the dealon TV with Donald Trump and leaving Miami
and driving down our our our highways. We have the best highways in Florida,
paved wise. You go any placeelse in the country, they're a
(48:34):
mess. I used to go toJersey all the time. Let me tell
you what they got. The potholesas big as as as sinkholes. I'm
telling you these things are they doHe's right. You get on the Jersey
Freeway or something. Oh my god, and talking about animals hit on the
side of the road, mule deer, big deer, bears, all that
stuff. That's why all our neighborsare from Jersey. Yeah, they left
(48:58):
because of the roads. I forgotyou're frame in my car. That pothole
got me. I'm out of there. Ye anyway, Hey, I Force
backed up right now for all yourorland defense. Okay, high Force always
backed up. Is that. I'mjust letting you know. What they need
to do is put a road over. Yeah, there you go, road
on top of a road. Hey. Next weekend, we're starting our deal
with Fox Sports in Miami six fortyFox Sports and a Gold Closet High Lift.
(49:22):
For twenty years, family owned andoperate a Gold Closet high Lift rents
us construction equipment like j LG.Genie Skytrack multi equipment whacker with scissor and
boom lifts up to one hundred andthirty five feet. They cover a huge
area from the keys to Fort Pierce. If you guys are on vacation in
Orlando and you're listening to the show, guys, go to check out Gold
Coast High Lift right there off aSterling and ninety five. I think it's
(49:45):
shared in ninety five. Yeah.Shared. They've got a ton of stuff
there in a ton of parts too. Yeah. And you know what,
They're gonna have a brand new facilityin twenty twenty four. They're putting millions
of dollars into this stuff so youcan get all your your equipment service there.
And the race he knows are gonnado a live show. I got

(50:05):
the grand opening of the new GoldCoast Highlight. That's great, tenty four.
It should be around February. Butthey're putting millions of dollars into this
thing. It's really really cool calledgold Kills High Lift at nine five four
nine two lift. If you're dinein the South Florida area. UM,
NBC looked from the races on NBC, you're not gonna be getting them on
Fox no more this season. AndI think they're actually looking at the contract.
I'm not sure if they're gonna beable to go back to Fox next
(50:28):
year from what I can see,so, Happy Father's Day to all the
fathers. Thanks so much, Scottand Richard. And to the cat.
He does have kiddies, yes heis. I don't know. I don't
have cats. I'm just a catperson. Yeah, okay, you no,
no, listen, I'm with you, Scott. I'm really a cat
person too. I enjoyed my kiddies, so you know, and I'm enjoyed
(50:51):
my little puppies. So thirty seconds, okay, thirty seconds big Al Barton
TRUEX Junior. He ties your favoritedriver, big ol Fireball Roberts. No
win list, okay, so thereyou go. Five hundred. I'm not
