Speaker 1 (23:59):
We're keeping it local. It's the local shell on the
river ninety seven three.
Speaker 7 (25:07):
It's a shame. What a.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
Never a gattle short.
Speaker 16 (25:19):
Start, all right.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
That is Spilly Cave on the local Show on the
River ninety seven three, winner of Best Alt Rock Band
at the Cpmas.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
And I love those guys. That's Billy Cave is the
guy behind us.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
So I don't know if that's one of those things
where he played all the instruments, because he certainly can. Yeah,
I'm not sure on that recording or not, but I
know Logan Bdard is the drummer in Spilly Cave. And
I apologize because I don't know the other guy's names.
But they are doing so well out on the road, man,
they are.
Speaker 4 (26:50):
They're torn and they're selling a lot of tickets too, so.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
They blow up on social media. If you don't, you
should follow Spilly Cave on the Instagram. You'll do that.
It's entertaining, very entertaining. So that's Gonzo and Jay Luke
before that from Scranton, Tornado of Mistakes, some eighties nineties
metal back there here in twenty twenty five sounded great Now.
(27:12):
We always like to wrap up the show with an
artist that's either in the Hall of Fame adjacent to
being in the Hall of Fame or will be considered
one day. So what do we have tonight, Brandon.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
Yes, this guy is in the Hall of Fame as
a member of a you know, eighties nineties hair metal
band actually, and he's a drummer. But he did a
solo album of all covers, okay, and only one of
those tracks he sings on, Oh the drummers sing it,
And that's the one we're gonna play here, all right.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
So this is Ricky Rocket from Poison from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania
and his cover of t Rex's Life's a Gas.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
This is awesome. Check it out. It's the local show
the River ninety seven to three.
Speaker 11 (28:00):
Mm hmm. Could have known you go back a planning.
I could have changed to your stuff?
Speaker 7 (28:17):
Does Marona.
Speaker 11 (28:21):
Really does? Marolla lives Scarce?
Speaker 7 (28:33):
I could do the house on the shot. I could
have placed some love in the sky.
Speaker 10 (28:49):
Really does Marella?
Speaker 7 (28:52):
No man lives Scarce.
Speaker 11 (29:06):
Could have turned Jui to instead, could have been a.
Speaker 10 (29:16):
Very different sees Mada.
Speaker 7 (29:25):
Does les Scarce does, really does les scar.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
Well, now we know why he's a drummer. I'm kidding,
I Am just kidding. You know who said that, Brandon
vallatid during the song as a joke. Because Brandon's a drummer,
that's right, and Brandon can also sing, well, that's debatable,
but you know you can't. But that's Ricky Rockett from
Poison right there with from his cover album. That's his
cover of t Rex's Life's of Gas and Brandon, you
(30:44):
said that's the only song he sings on on the record.
Speaker 4 (30:46):
Yeah, yeah, he put out a solo record where he
drummed a lot on it and featuring you know, there's
a female artist on there. I think Brett Michael sings
on the art on the album as well, and I
think it's from like two thousand and seven kind of
time frames, all right, something unique to check out, and
considering they're all covers, he does some Bowie and you
know a lot of well known tunes on there.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
So turk it out sure, all right?
Speaker 2 (31:05):
So make sure you join us at each and every
week Sunday nights at eight o'clock here as we feature
the best that Central Pennsylvania has to offer with the
local show and Brandon tell people how they can get
their music submitted for consideration for a future episode.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
You can go to the River ninety seven to three page,
or you can go to the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall
of Fame page at CPMHOF dot com slash radio click
the link, fill out the form and submit your music
for consideration for airplay.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
It might take a little while because we get a
lot of submissions. There's a lot of talented artists in
this area and everybody wants to get on the local show,
and we want to put.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
You on there too.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
And by the way, we have the podcast that gets uploaded.
You'll hear every episode the next day on Mondays around lunchtime.
So if you haven't, check out seasons one and two
and what we have so far of season.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
Three on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
I'm Glenn Hamilton for Brandon Valentine, founder of the Central
Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame. The best way for you
to support these local artists, though, is to follow them
on social media and by god, get out there and
see them play live.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
Go see a local show.
