Speaker 1 (01:30):
Is that correct.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yeah, We're starting out with one of the guys from
the Central Pennsylvania Youth All Star Band. But he is
just breaking out wide open. He's not just one of
the best youth guitar players I know, this dude is
like one of the best guitar players period.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
And he's only sixteen. It is mind blowing how talented
this guy is.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
And I don't like to call him a kid, but
he's a kid, yes, but he's a He's a very
talented young man.
Speaker 1 (01:59):

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Here.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
He's got Danika Shairi from previously The Voice Fame. The
drummer was the guy from the Doobie Brothers. So he's
got like, what, yes, how did I miss that?
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Right?
Speaker 4 (02:13):
He's got some some legendary status on here, and he's
fitting right in. It's alex Lee Warner with his new original.

Peace Love Blues. This is season three, episode one of
The Local Show. I'm Glenn Hamilton Brandon Valentine from the
Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame. It's here as always.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
Yes, indeed, Ben Ginder Group there worthy of note. I
think I mentioned it on the show before. You know,
those guys are just so consistent with the rock music
that they put out, in the quality that they put
it out with.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Truly. Yeah, great job, guys, keep up the good work.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
So switching gears here, moving into this person who is
actually a member of the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of
Fame Advisory Committee.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Yes, and she has been a part of the music
scene here for as long as I've lived here, which
is thirty something years.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
Teacher at LVC and a solo duo artist out there
as well.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
She performs with Dennis McLachlan locally and she also plays
in some pits sometime for musical musical theater.
Speaker 6 (11:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:59):

River seventy three brand new music from Sherry Mullen on
the River local show that is Disengage sounds great.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yeah, like the whisper at the end of the ideas.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
So it is Central Pennsylvania's biggest night for music coming
up on March fifth at American Music Theater in Lancaster.
We're talking, of course about the Central Pennsylvania Music Awards
and Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Brandon, this is a
it's huge that you had to change locations this year
from Hershey Theater after the last couple of years because
of the renovations going on there.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
Yeah, we knew about two years ago that these renovations
were coming, so we had to have a plan for
the twenty twenty five year and couldn't have landed on
a better venue with American Music Theater in Lancaster there
very similar in size, in fact a little smaller. So
tickets are flying off the shelf, so to speak, and
we're excited to be there. A great place. It's going
to be a great vibe and a lot of new
(17:18):
changes this year as well to make the ceremony even
more enhanced.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
It's such a great time too. It's a great show
and I look forward to being there every year. I
present an award or two usually, so appreciate you letting
me get up there and do that. But it's just
fun to see all the people that you know are
a lot of the people that make up the Central
PA music scene.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Yeah, that's really what it's about it, you know. It's
the community vibe, the communal vibe, I should say, with
a sense of family there. All of these artists, you know,
usually have gigs on Fridays and Saturdays, and it's impossible
to go see fellow artists at other shows, right, And
I feel like you walk in there and everybody's like
a local celebrity. Everybody knows each other from their social media,
from their Facebook page. You see a picture of them,
(17:59):
you go, oh, I know that person, dude, I know you. Yeah,
and they're like I know you and you're like, no way,
we never met before.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
You know.
Speaker 6 (18:05):

Speaker 11 (18:06):
Now I know.
Speaker 1 (18:07):

Speaker 1 (28:43):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (28:44):
For a future that's right induction into the rock and
that's right to the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame
as they should be. These guys have been around for
a long time, original for well not original for sorry
that's my bat Sorry Toby, but for a lot like
thirty years yes, with Tommy, So they've been around forever.
They've always just been such solid songwriters, great production on
(29:08):
their songs, and always at the forefront of their videos
and social media that they do for sure.
Speaker 4 (29:13):
And if you haven't seen their music videos, just go
on YouTube find the Jelly Bricks. Watch their music videos.

Bricks are on the ballot to be inducted into the
Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame, hopefully sooner than later.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
Yeah, Brandon agreed, I know he's not on you ye,
A lot of factors at play.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
So the Big Award show and Hall of Fame induction
ceremony is coming up at American Music Theater in Lancaster
on Wednesday, March fifth, But this year, as always, there's
also the after.
Speaker 4 (32:58):
Party, yes, the official after party, right, we partner with
the local venue. Years past, it's been at the Englewood
and Hershey, and while we would love to partner with
them again, we're going to be in Lancaster, so nobody
wants to drive, you know, forty minutes back to Hershay
for the after party.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
Right, So we're.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
Partnering with the Lancaster venue and it is none other
than the Village, Ncaster.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
No kidding.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Yeah, they're back in rocking again, which is so cool,
so correct. Yeah, Ray ROSSI and rocking out down there,
and we're doing something different this year too. We've I
think we've done something different. Rich Ruoff, Yep, sorry, I
didn't even pick up on it.
Speaker 5 (33:35):
I know.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
That's why I knew I was wrong. Raised from the
metron rich Ruoff back in action. It's so cool, man,
that's right.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
I used to manage the community club there and has
taken over the village and is doing it right. And
we're going to mix it up this year, as we
kind of have in years past. We last year we
did karaoke for the first time, right, which was a
smashing success. There was probably three hundred people signed up
to sing on stage because you know, you have the
most talented musicians there. Yeah, so why not, and none
(34:05):
of them like to get on stage and perform attention,
you know, they don't want to show their skills off, right,
So this year we're maximizing that thought, which was always
the goal as part of the after party. And it's
gonna be an open jam on stage with all the
instrumentation up there. So not only can you throw your
name in the hat to go up and sing, like
(34:26):
last year with karaoke, be you to throw your name
in the hat to go up, play some instruments, go
up as a full band, play one of your songs,
you know, make it work. It's gonna be awesome. It's
gonna be interesting to see how it pans out, for sure,
the greatest open mic night maybe ever. Yeah, solid, solid
talent all the way around. All right, Well, that is
going to do it for season three, episode one of
the Local Show. We always upload each week's episode to
(34:50):
the podcast on iHeart Radio around lunchtime on Monday, so
look for this tomorrow and share it around and make
sure you follow us on the iHeartRadio out as well. Brandon,
how can people submit their music for consideration we played
on the show. Yes, go to the link on our
website cpmhof dot com slash radio. You can click either
the photo there the banner of the local show, or
(35:12):
the link at the bottom there.
Speaker 3 (35:13):
Play all right, Thank you so much for listening for
Brandon Valentine. My name is Glenn Hamilton. We appreciate you
supporting local music by listening to our show, of course,
but follow these bands on social media and of course
the best way you can support these local bands is
to go out and see a local show
