I say friends, listen to these friends. Janine has Sarah
for You're a Big Sky Quartet, Susie Brown, who is
just a phenomenal solo artist, jan Bowling of The Timeless Review,
and Sherry scarp formerly of Crossfire three. Seriously, jan need Scarpato,
(31:03):
one of the great voices and just one of the
most loved artists here on the Central PA music scene.
She was also in Charlie Horse, who was on a
previous volume of Joy to the Birds. You needs so talented,
just a great, great voice.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Yes, another perennial artist on the Jordan the Berg albums here,
and I would argue, I think that's our best track
she's had so far.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
It's so good, it's so good and way to go. Friends.

That's it, Oh my gosh. And after this song we
will have played all of twenty four songs on the
double disc set. Who are we finishing up with?
Speaker 2 (31:49):
Brandon? Some say you save the best for last and
man Shanghai. A lot of times on the local show
we like to end with an act that's on the
ballad or in the Hall of Fame or in future
consideration for the Hall of Fame. Shanghai is one of those.
Frontman Wally as well as Bob Kimmel on drum drums,
Shanghai recently reunited. They were popular decades ago, had some
(32:12):
hits and just reunited recorded this. I think the music
video we had on Good Day Pa as well as
kind of like a you know, an online zoom compilation
because they live in various areas. But again, the reunion
for the cause here with joy to the Burg, such
a special moment. It's Shanghai with their version of the
Eagles tune Please come home for Christmas.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
It's the local show the River ninety seven to three

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Again at Shanghai and please come home for Christmas. What
a great version of the Eagles classic. There to wrap
up episode three of our three part trilogy of our
(35:34):
Joy to the Berg Special. And we're only three days
out from Christmas. And Nick Muci, it has been your
busiest season of the year. It's starting to kind of
wind down a little bit or get into where you
can breathe it is. What would you like to say
to the folks this year?
Speaker 3 (35:50):
I would just like to start by saying thank you
to all of the musicians, not only from this year's album,
but the entire music community who over six years who
have been a part of this project, whether that's in
their performance submitting their tracks to help raise funds for others.
It's such a testament too. No matter who you are,
you have a gift, you have a talent, and it's
something that you can give away as well to support others.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Well.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Thank you for all you do organizing this and it's
like hurting cats a lot of times. I know a
ton of fun and Brandon Valentine, you curate the music
now for all the Joy to the Berg projects, and
I know that's a lot because you get a ton
of submissions every year for sure, and it's the hope
that you know, you go back and you listen to
a lot of these tracks on the podcast or you
get the CD and you listen to it annually, that
(36:33):
you know you're you're inspired to look up these artists
and see what else they've done original work cover wise,
go see them locally. You know this is a great
exposure opportunity for them. They enjoy being a part and
giving back. But support these artists as much as you
can throughout the year as well. And Nick Mucci once again,
how can people get a hold of this year's double
disc set?
Speaker 3 (36:52):
Absolutely go to Joytotheburg dot com. You can go to
Carns as well and pick it up there. Get your
digital downloads from the website to the Burg dot com
and if you like I have a lot of christ
of music, there's a way you can donate as well
to be a part of it. So thank you to
everyone for being a part of it. Thank you Brandon
and Glenn and the local show for this trilogy of
the Jordan the Berg album this year.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
So great to have you in and just a project
near and dear to our hearts. All right, this is
our final local show of the year. Actually, so we
hope everybody has a wonderful holiday season. We'll be back
with fresh episodes after the new year. Brandon, How can
