Steve Maser that is Boni Fassio on the local Show
on the River ninety seven three and Sherry Mullins new
one back There Here with Me a beautiful song. Both
of those artists have recorded at Progressive studios. Joe Trojack's
studios just celebrated forty years.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Forty years of Progressive Sound Studios. Amazing, congratulations to Joe.
In fact, we're gonna have Joe Trojack as our special
in studio guest next week. Yes, looking forward to it,
and he's going to be showcasing some additional artists who
have recorded there. So many people have over the years,
and even some that may be uh Hall of Fame
consideration as well. Right, I'm big artists there.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Hey, speaking of awesome things to happen with the Hall
of Fame, you personally, Brandon, had a major thing happened
to you this week regarding the Grammy Awards. You now
can nominate and vote on the Grammys.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Yes, I got. I don't know elected, I don't know
what the right word is selected, I don't know, as
an official member of the Recording Account to me, which
is the overarching body of the Grammy Awards and is
absolutely amazing. Yes, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Oh, the crowd goes wild. Congratulations Brandon, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
Okay, settle down, everybody, Yep, everybody, all right, thank you
for the staying of as.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
It's really cool though.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Yeah, it's it's quite an honor, honestly, it's a it's
very humbling and and and an awesome honor to to
really be able to, you know, have a voice for
the local market here, the local music scene, as well
as some influence nationally as well. And it's been in
the works for quite some time here with working with
the local chapter out of Philadelphia. They've actually attended the
(13:38):
cpm AS in the past two years, I believe, to
kind of see what we're all about and increase their
presence around here. So you know, it's it's a great opportunity,
more so for the local scene than myself. You know,
I consider myself being lucky enough to be in this
position to you know, be the voice for our our
local music scene. And what I mean by that is
(14:00):
just yesterday I got an email from the Recording Academy
that they're now accepting submissions for consideration for Grammy nominations.
And you're allowed to submit any artists as long as
it's in major streaming platforms, which would include our whole
book that we're playing here on the local show, right
of local artists?
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Why not?
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Right? Yeah, So it really opens up this window of
being able to try to push the local music scene,
the local artists who are doing their thing and really
achieving new heights on a national scale. So we'll see
where it goes. You know, I'll certainly be yelling from
the rooftops as far as what artists in our local
(14:39):
music scene are doing big, big things at least in
the calendar year. But yeah, what an honor to now
be able to say, you know, not only is our
influence and our vote for the cpmas in this area,
but also on that national scale with the Grammy, so
very very cool.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
Well, congratulations, thank you, it's quite an honor, and I'm
so proud of you man, and the things that you
could end up possibly doing for the Central Pennsylvania music scene. Well,
the fact that you're the voice in just you know,
trying to get it out there at all, and there
was nobody else doing that before. So now you're in
a position to do that.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Man, grateful to be in that position.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
And there's so many artists because like you said, why
not just submit everybody you know, as many as you can.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
All they can do is say no thanks, or they
might one day be like.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
Hey, these they're awesome. Right, that's the goal, you know,
to get this area on the map more so than
it already is, and get some of these artists that
are virtually radio ready out of this local music scene,
you know, some recognition that they deserve beyond locally and
beyond the cpma's on.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
The national scale. Well, congrats, mister Grammy. That's awesome, dude.
So now who do we have still to come on
the show.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
Yeah, getting ready to feature Denzo Lady King in the
Aces and let's see a new one that has been
released here to coordinate with the number one at the
box office Motion picture out right.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Now, Oh okay, you've got my you've got my ears
peaked it So you're talking about something to do with Superman.
Obviously you got it? All right, Well we'll find out
coming up.
Speaker 3 (16:13):

Speaker 2 (16:13):

Speaker 2 (17:21):
The River ninety seven three. It's Glenn Hamilton and Brandon Valentine.
We're back with this week's episode of the Local Show,
where we shine the spotlight on local music here on
the Central PA music scene. Brandon Valentine from the Central
Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame. And who are we getting
into next Brandon, Yes, an artist by the name of Denzo.
One of the things I usually repeat, you know, when
(17:43):
a lot of people say how do we get on
the radar for the cpmas and things of that nature,
one of the phrases I like to say is, you know,
be in our face. And what I mean by that
is like, you know, reach out, like let us know
when you when you release new music, tag us on
social media, all those kind of things to make sure
that the organization has you at front of mine. And
this artist, you know, submitted his track to be part
(18:06):
of the local show here on the River ninety seven
to three.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
I don't know. I want to say weeks ago, maybe
maybe months ago, I can't remember. And I followed up
with an email, you know, reach out to yourself Glenn
as well as me, and said, hey, how do I
get my my song on here? And I had a
good conversation about where he's from from from Reading and
now lives in Harrisburg. And even though it was through email,
(18:31):
I didn't get to talk to this gentleman here, but
this features because it was three email. I'm not sure
in the pronunciation here right which is features. I'm just
going to spell it out for you to give give
some credit.
Speaker 6 (18:42):
Here.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
It's a I L three three three E. How would
you pronounce that? I have to look at it can
show it to him. I would say, like, Ale, mische
the threes are supposed to be ease. I'm not here,
but up.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Right in the middle there a al three three three
three I'm thinking Ali, I apologize, but yeah, we can't
figure that. We can't crack the code. But we're gonna
play your song.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Yeah, maybe let us know in the comments and uh
and social media there, but uh yeah, nonetheless, we're gonna
play it here. This is the artist that goes by
Denzo featuring a Ley will go with. This is proven
on the local show The River ninety seven three.
Speaker 16 (19:24):
We all got Lambert.
Speaker 17 (19:38):
I'm gonna for soy you get me high on the influence.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
They tested my games today.
Speaker 17 (19:44):
Don't make me proofing all night. But and you'll post
of lacking the way do I mean? Look at my
eyes and us loving disguise and loving black.
Speaker 18 (19:58):

Speaker 17 (20:17):

competive the same as you.
Speaker 6 (20:21):
Why you're telling me to prove it? And roll you're
telling him to prove it and prove it. You're telling
him to prove.
Speaker 12 (20:30):
So d me.
Speaker 6 (20:31):
I know that to be confused me, you're telling me
to brow that roll. You're telling me to prove in.
You're telling me to prove it.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
It was like a movie anything.
Speaker 17 (20:44):

Speaker 1 (21:57):
We're keeping it local. It's the local show on the
river ninety seven to three.
Speaker 4 (22:07):
H You will never know what I feel?
Speaker 16 (22:21):
Wuld I fear you lack the mind intentions? When blind,
I still took your side.
Speaker 6 (22:30):
No I.
Speaker 19 (22:32):
You see or no was always a black bill made
me feel like I would never be enough for you.
Be your swords, never be cupsman, don queenl Wanza.
Speaker 9 (22:46):
Wish you the.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
Know what I feel?
Speaker 12 (22:54):
What I fear?
Speaker 16 (22:56):
Lack them nine intentions when blind to your side?
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Now I.
Speaker 16 (23:05):
Hate myself plan I think of that, thinks so said
I ever leap down Nie, blaming myself only antally torturing me.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
You know what that be?
Speaker 16 (23:27):
Would I be lock the mind attentions with mine so secure.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
Side, now you go bail? Would I be?
Speaker 16 (23:43):
Would I've been lack the mind? Never have been kind.
You don't look.
Speaker 19 (23:50):
Inside it to yourself state mind.
Speaker 9 (23:55):
That's why you're.
Speaker 12 (23:55):
Pretty ruth.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Lady King and the Aces, the Local Show on the
River ninety seven three, Pretty Ruthless and Denzo before that
with new Music Prove it featuring AI three three three E.
That's not an artificial intelligence, is it. That's not what
AI stands for because that woman was too soulful and real.
(25:27):
There's no way that's AI. We're just butchering their name.
So yes, definitely, let us know how to give credit
where credit is due, because that's what it's about.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
Right.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
We talk about it and then you think about it,
and then you know, you plant the seed and before
you know it, you're listening and buying the track off
streaming shit.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
That's right, that's the hope. So we have one more
artist to get to. And now I see what you're
doing here, Brandon with the number one film in the
box office.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
Yes, Superman, huh have you seen the previous versions? You know,
Christopher Chris, every single Superman iteration I've seen. Don't think
I've seen any of them?
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Are you kidding?
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Right?
Speaker 2 (26:03):
You didn't see Superman with Christopher Reed.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
I don't think i've seen a single Superman movie, and
I'm and I consider myself quite the you know cinophile,
I guess well, of.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
The Christopher Reeve films, Superman two is.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
The best one, That's what I hear.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
But the first Superman is great too, and in a
lot of ways, it's a slow build. It's a slow start,
but once once Clark gets to Metropolis, it rolls from there.
But I cannot wait to see this one because I
love Rachel Brosnahan so much. I loved her in House
of Cards where she got her start, and the marvelous
(26:37):
missus masl but she's just phenomenal and she's Lois Lane.
And the kid from Righteous Gemstones plays Jimmy Olsen, Oh nice, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
The Jemson the oldest hbox of the Offspring.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
Yeah. So anyway, I can't wait to see it. So
what have you got for is to wrap up the show?
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Yeah, it's number one at the box office, and it's
quite the unique thing here, right ured This band previously
on the local show here several times a lot for
their Star Wars tracks that they do instrumentals that are metal, right.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Yeah, metal metal movie soundtracks instrumental. I guess they're instrumental.
They are a Galactic Empire from Lancaster County and we've
featured a bunch of their Star Wars stuff in the past.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Yeah, and they've done a couple things differently, right with
other movies they've done, not just Star Wars, right, they
did like a Jurassic Park. I believe. Oh that's cool,
which is a great I haven't heard of John Williams again,
it's all John Williams, right exactly. But here with Superman.
This is the one that they have released now as
a single off an upcoming album. I believe it comes
(27:45):
out in October here, so quite the ways away. But
they're calling it Cineamtal and it is literally this, you know.
The main themes are the soundtracks from a lot of
different cinematic achievements that you know have gone down in
the lore for decades.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
You know.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
I can't wait to see what they can. So I
believe Jurassic Park's on there, Superman's on there. But this
is the one that they released concurrently here with the
movie being in theaters. It's Galactic Empire with Superman on
the local show The River ninety seven three in the Iheartradiots, Stal.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
Sssssssssssssssssst Yes, that is Galactic Empire with their incredible version
(32:37):
of the original Superman the motion picture theme composed of
course by John Williams, and they made the hair stand
up on my arm on that one man.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
That's so good, right, it's such a unique twist on
taking these these super well known orchestral, you know, cinematic
themes and turning them into metal. They've been like the
heartbeat of an America with these, with these motion pictures.
Let me read off what is coming off on their
sentimental album?
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Is Indiana Jones going to be on?
Speaker 3 (33:07):
Indiana Jones is on there?
Speaker 13 (33:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Any other guesses e t Et is on? Saw John
Williams stuff too. Let's see, we got the Star Wars
stuff on. There's probably multiple Star Wars.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
Because that's our main thing, right others but start Jaws,
No Jaws, what yep, that's a good guest. Let's see
Star Trek. It gets a little wizardy as well.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Wizard of Oz oh, Harry Potter, Harry Potter, you go
and again John Williams, and then you.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
Incorporate some some Elves as well, Elves, I should say, Elves,
Lord of the Rings, Lord of the Rings.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
Okay not John Williams, right, yeah, it might be there
only non John Williams.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
No, there's a couple on here. Okay, what else you got?
How about the Schwartzenacer Oh, Terminator yep?
Speaker 2 (33:56):
Okay, right on?
Speaker 3 (33:57):
And a little uh captain.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Okay, so Pirates of the Caribbean Caribbean Gorjira? What Godzilla?
Speaker 3 (34:09):
That's the Japanese pronunciation.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Okay, yes, Godzilla? All right, that's good.
Speaker 3 (34:14):
And then one of the other famous uh superheroes it
was the same with I believe it was Superman Verse
Man yep theme, which one I wondered, Yeah, the TV
thing and you don't know because it doesn't come out
in October. The only one you can listen to on
the album is Superman Avengers is the second track, all right.
(34:36):
And then the only track we haven't covered here is
one of my favorite movies I've I've always been a huge,
huge fan of time travel movies, and this is the
quintessential time travel movie back back to the Future, to
the Future.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
Oh, there you go.
Speaker 3 (34:50):
Great soundtrack with that one, no doubt.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
All right, Well, I can't wait for that. Look for
Galactic Empire Sentimental coming out in October, but you can
download and streams Superman now as you're on your way
to the new Superman movie that's right in theaters if
you haven't seen it already, Well, there you go. That
is this week's episode of The Local Show on the
River ninety seven to three on behalf of Brandon Valentine
(35:12):
and myself. We appreciate you tuning in and Brandon, can
you let everybody know how to submit their music for
future consideration or I should say current consideration for future airplay.

the same room with you. And don't forget we put
up the podcast on the iHeartRadio app Mondays around lunchtime,
so make sure you follow the River Local Show on
the iHeartRadio app so you know when the new episodes drop,
So that'll be around lunchtime tomorrow for Brandon Valentine. I'm
Glenn Hamilton. Thanks for tuning in. We're on every Sunday
(36:04):

support these artists is to get out there and go
see a local show.
