Proudly Pa. This is the Local Show with a Central
Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame on the River ninety seven
to three.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
All right, welcome to Season two, episode thirty one of
the Local Show. I'm Glenn Hamilton with the River. Brandon
Valentine from the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame right
over there. Hello, Happy Sunday. Yeah. Absolutely, we love getting
together to do these shows each week to spotlight some
of the best talent that's in Central PA. And you know,
there's so much. We only have room for like six

(00:33):
or seven songs every week, that's right.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
But you know, if you go back and listen to
all the episodes of the iHeart app you know we
featured I think over two hundred and fifty artists that
we're getting hose to three hundred. So it's wild. It's wild,
and there really is.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
And so we've got quite the collection and many, many,
many more to introduce you to or reintroduce you to.
Maybe some of these are your favorite local artists. But
who are we starting the show with this week? Brandon?

Speaker 3 (00:56):
First up, it's a brand new band based out of Harrisburg.
Female fronted original hard rock band and and as it
they quote on their website. They're breaking into the music
scene like a bat out of hell. Yeah, it's ruinous
with Afterlifeline on the local show The River ninety seven

That is actual Wizards and their song space Fever on
the local show on the River ninety seven to three.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Another new project that is Justin and Alex previously from
Medusa's disco Ha and Uh A fitting name for their
band there, justin Wizards. Yeah, they are actual Wizards. I
believe that everything they are affiliated with, you know, is
is UH is great stuff.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Justin formerly did.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Max j Divine Lasagna as a rap album that was nominated.
He also did h Is Gray Shields album as kind
of like a dance record, and here they are, you know,
kind of what's the right word, moving on past Medusa's
Disco and trying a new project that's kind of in
the same vein as we know Hunter Root of Medusa's

(09:17):
Disco moving on Hunter Root band touring right and Winton
also of Medusa's Disco, doing his own thing in Nashville
now with Winton existing, so justin and Alex still rocking
and rolling here with this project.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Yeactual Medusa's Disco really what a great band. And to
see all those guys still flourishing doing their own things,
that's really awesome. And we started with a brand new
band from Harrisburg Ruins and their song after Lifeline to
kick it off, flying into the music scene like Bats
out of Hell. Sounds great. All right, Now we're gonna

(09:50):
make a little bit of a left turn because we
play all genres here. If it's good, we play it.
And I love the name of this band.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
You say it, you do love this name. I think
you featured them here on the show before. They are
CPMA winners considered alt country. This is their newest just
released on October twelfth on All digital streaming services. It's
called the Hard Truth. And here's the name, Tractor Jerry
and the mud Bucket. Can you imagine if you're the
lead guy? You know you're Tractor Jerry.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
That's cool. Can imagine being in the band and I'm
part of the mud Bucket?

Speaker 5 (10:22):
Are you mud bucket?

Speaker 2 (10:24):
The buckets?

Speaker 15 (10:25):

Speaker 18 (10:51):

bad act and try to tell me that it's raining nice.
It's baptized in hard luck and never mind walked out.

Speaker 5 (11:13):

to be someday in the Hall of Fame, or maybe
has a connection to an artist, a major artist that
we didn't even know about. And that's the case here.

(15:24):
Pretty incredible story, so keep it here. The local show
continues next on the River ninety seven three and the

we are moving on to Kylie Heltzel. We featured her
original music here on the show before, first time she's
being featured live here from our Abbey Bar or live

(17:03):
at the Abbey Bar segment that we do. Kylie is
an up and coming artist and she has a lot
of original music you can find on digital distribution. But again, Glenn,
when we talk about this live at the Abbey Bar segment. Right,
you know the artists haven't even heard these songs yet.
I know, right, because they record him that night. Now
it's been back in August and Fred Pellegrini took him,

(17:25):
did his magic on him, made her sound so great,
mixing and mastering them. And now months later, weeks months later,
they're hearing their songs that they did for the first
time on the radio with everybody else. But we wouldn't
play it if it wasn't awesome. That's right, Kylie Helzel.
