the Central PA music scene. That's where you send all
your music to be considered for airplay. So Brandon, you've
got a great ear for what's good and what's out
(00:47):
and all the different genres that we feature.
Speaker 1 (00:49):

(04:42):
has won several CPMA Awards I believe, and interesting name right,
Public Disco Porch. They've won for Best Folk Band. And
they're kind of one of those genre bending bands because
if you see them live, you're not thinking they're folk, right,
not at all, but it's kind of folk rocky and
then they go the lyrics are certainly yes, it's not
(05:03):
kind of folk rhyme, and it's just I love this
band because you can't pigeonhole them into any box. Yeah,
generally speaking, rocks. Probably the best segment that they go
in about good. Yeah, there you go good, We'll go
really good.

(24:38):
Fame eligibility, we'll say as mentioned, they started in two
thousand and five. They're an emo band from Scranton, and yes,
Scranton Wilkesbury area is considered Central PA.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
And our arbitrary borders.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
It's not arbitrary, I don't think, well, because the way
I look at it, I know a lot of people
think it's the bullseye in the middle of the state, correct,
And we're like, south central Pennsylvan.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Why can't we just make it the middle third of
the state. That's what we do, from the top to
the bottom. You slice the state in thirds, and we're
the middle hat. That's it. You know, we actually have borders.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
So we get requests here to be played on the
air for the River Local show ninety seven three here,
and some of those artists are from Pittsburgh and Philly.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Sure, and we say, hey, you're from the east third
or the west third, right, so.

Speaker 9 (29:47):
You know.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
We'll call it Scranton Rock.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
I guess, hey, well, well to put a plug in
for Rock the Food Bank because we're doing that show
on December fifth, the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame
and The River IF teamed up with Excel Live to
help out the Central Pennsylvania a food bank. Yes, and
quite literally when you say, we are doing the show
