the first performance of Van Wersing. Everyone, man, this is
gonna be good. They are so psyched for you guys
to hear that. We want you everybody to hear Eric
Wersing playing this Eddie van Halen guitar. We're doing Diamond
Dave era stuff, so we'll get to that. I also

(01:22):
want to thank our sponsors, Susquanna Valley, Harley Davidson for
presenting Rock the Food Bank and also Game Day Men's
Health for being one of our sponsors as well. We
appreciate your support. So who are we gonna kick it

Would say, closer you get to the answer, the more
you realize the.

Speaker 7 (07:26):
Chasing the dream.

Speaker 12 (07:35):
I heard you thinking of making no run. If that's

Speaker 3 (10:58):
It's our Rock the food Bank episode of the local
Show on the River ninety seven to three. That's Brandon
Valentine's band right there, Cold Spring Union Chasing the Dream
and we open the show with Dan Kibler Mystery Girl.
Dan and Amy Simpson are going to open Rock the
food Bank with an acoustic duo set. It's going to
be awesome. Start tonight and you guys absolutely kick ass man.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
What do you say too?

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Rock for country and two country for rock. That's You're everything.
That's right, you're all of that.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
You got it? Yep.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
John Rossi on vocals there on that one he wrote
that one, Chasing the Dream. I am the drummer in
the band and do some backup vocals as well. But
gotta love the guitar solo in that song there, Chasing
the Dream, by none other than Cody Wilt. He's one
of those guys always say there's two types of guitar players, right,
One solos and never does the same thing and just
plays off field, and the other one rehearses and plays

(11:50):
it note for note. And Cold Spring Union is all
about the two frontmen in the band, both lead vocalists
and both lead guitarists. And is the one who will
improvise every solo, and Cody is the one who plays
it no for note every time and that solo and
that is Cody. So if you come out to Rock
the Food Bank Friday December, you'll hear it just like that.

(12:11):
We'll hear it no for note like that as Cody
plays with you. That's so awesome. You're gonna get a
lot of great guitar at Rock the food Bank. I
guarantee it. And now we've got our friends, the Swisher
Sweets on the bill as well, Philip Connasaro of course,
Steve Swisher swish Man, and the one and only Joey Dalto, Yes,
former lead singer of the Famous and he has a

(12:32):
solo album out there as well.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
This is his number one hit off that album.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
It is Joey Dalto with Miss Lonely on the local
show The River in ninety seventy three.

Speaker 5 (12:52):
Who am I now?

Speaker 15 (12:53):
Imfa, I'm the king sitting on it, Jim.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
I'm going bye.

Speaker 15 (13:05):

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Joey Dalto on the local show on the River ninety
seven three Miss Lonely from his solo album. He is
one of the three members of the Swisher Suite. So
are going to be rocking the Food Bank with us
at Excel Live on December fifth, which is Friday, in
less than two weeks away.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Can't believe it. Great band name too right.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
The Swisher Suites absolutely named after our brother swishdog Man,
Stephen Swisher, and of course Phil Canazzaro is on the
bass and vocals. And it's just that they're a fun
band that plays. They're one of those bands that play anything.
They can literally play anything.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Still to come.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
We've got the Jelly Bricks who are going to be
on the bill. We've got our Van Wersing, We've got
something that was recorded when we played Vega July. That's
what put this whole project together was we wanted everybody
to hear Eric Wersing play this Eddie van Halen guitar.
Eric is from Solar Federation, so we put this together
for fedg Herb's party Veji July. But we're gonna do

(17:21):
our public debut. People seem to want to hear more
of it, so we're gonna do more of it at
Rock the Food Bank. And then we've got one of
Amy's songs, Amy Simpson Songs coming up, so keep it
here on the local Show of the River ninety seven three.
Our special Rock the Food Bank episode continues next Stay
in the loop.

penny of ticket sales goes to the Central Pennsylvania Food
Bank and they can take one dollar and make six
meals out of one dollar. And we're not just talking
about cans of peas like actual meals. They're buying power
and they need their they need your help and our

of our friends that are going to be rocking the
food bank for you on December fifth at Excel Live.
That's right, our friends, the Jellybricks. We've played a ton
of their singles on the local show here because you

(19:00):
know what, they're all great, and if it's great, we
play it. This is one of my favorites. Let's hear
all about you. It's the Jelly Bricks on the local
show The River ninety seven three.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
I love the time, I love the time, I love

(20:18):

Speaker 7 (20:18):
Around, and holding around till I can see through you.

No, yes, no, it's true.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
The Jelly Bricks on the local show The River ninety
seventy three all about you. They will be rocking for
you at Rock the Food Bank at Excel Live on
December fifth.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Can't wait. I haven't seen those guys in a little
while either. Agreed.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
I'm hoping that our daughter, my daughter Emily, can make
it in for that because she loves the Jellybricks Jellybricks
super fans.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
It's important to mention too.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
You mentioned, you know, one hundred percent of the proceeds
are going to the Central Pennslvania Food Bank. It's important
to mention as well. These bands are volunteering their time
and talent and effort to be on stage here, right yep,
you know. So it's not like it's one of these
situations where band's getting to cut at the door. Everybody
there is for the cause. Yeah, Excel Live. It's given
the whole door away too. You might have a service

(23:33):
charge on your ticket if you buy it online. We
can't help that, sure, but your twenty dollars portion is
going directly to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Next up, who's up next?

Speaker 3 (23:45):
You know this band quite well here, Glenn, we talk
about them, We talk about the members right. As Glenn
mentioned earlier, this started as a side project for a
private party. And we say private party, but man, there's
a lot of people that fetch it July like five
TOI cutter people and it fetches front yard and backyard
right on Main Street in Anville.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
It's amazing.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
You probably could have snuck in it maybe would have
been a little bit of a public show. I don't
know if they check, you know, the if you're on
the guest list at the front door. But either way,
this band has not performed in a venue open to
the public yet, so.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
We'll see how this goes.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
At least at least more than a song or two,
I guess because technically you guys played on stage with
Brett Michaels up at Spyglass Winery in Sunday.

Speaker 11 (24:28):
Yes, we did.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Eric Wersing, Eric Van Wersing played Eruption and then we
jumped on there with Brett's band, Brett Michael's band and
did ain't talk about love, which was just I mean,
that was a dream coming so cool. It's amazing, amazing,
and you rocked it. Man, you were super dynamic as
front man playing Dave David Lee Ross there wearing your
you know what do they call it the the.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
Whatever?

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Yeah, but like the you know, I didn't wear that.
You didn't wear no, I did that at Fetid July.
You got the glasses too, though. But here's the here's
the thing. Can I just say this about our van
Halen tribute. We're not putting on the wigs in the
in the you know, the jumpsuits and the spandex and everything.
I look at us as we're more like the two
thousand and eight to twenty fifteen van Halen when they

(25:14):
got Dave Back and Wolfgang in the band.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
I reel like that era, which is like jeans and
t shirts, more sensible. And then it's all Halloween.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
You're not dressing up right right, It's all about Eric
Wersing's guitar playing. He has just got it down and
so we couldn't wait for people to hear Eric play
this guitar. It's also Fed Herb on drums, Mike Washkeovic
on the bass, and we do have Mike bits occasionally
with us on keyboards for a couple of the songs
that require keyboards.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Nice for van Halen.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
But here we go where I'm this is from FDJA
July recorded right off the soundboard by Justin Ershieth is
Eric playing eruption, and then we go right into You
Really Got Me, just like on the record, right it's
Van Wersing eruption and You Really Got Me live from
Fjja July.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
It's the local show in the river ninety seven three.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
Come on, that's you too, lie.

Speaker 19 (27:32):
And then worthy ladies and tell him give it up. Please, girl,

(27:52):
you've really got it now you come of thought what
I'm tom.

Speaker 5 (27:58):
Girl coming now common?

Speaker 7 (28:01):
So I kiss you that night.

Speaker 19 (28:05):
Girl, you're really coming now you kind of st where.

Speaker 9 (28:09):

Speaker 5 (28:11):
Oh yeah, you Fanny coming down.

Speaker 21 (28:14):
Dina saw that lady, you're ready me. Please don't have
a let me be calling. Wanna'll be by your side.
Please don't have let me be calling.

Speaker 16 (28:34):
Wona'll be by your side.

Speaker 19 (28:37):
Girl's really come in and post to conist where I'm
gonna listen?

Speaker 7 (28:44):
Boy, can really read me?

Speaker 4 (28:52):
You really got me? What?

Speaker 10 (29:24):
Girl?

Speaker 5 (29:25):
You really coming out becoming so I don't know what
to wear?

Speaker 19 (29:31):
Yeah, really coming out becoming so chest.

Speaker 21 (29:38):
You really come in?

Speaker 16 (29:40):
He kind of so, don't aware, I'm.

Speaker 7 (29:41):
Aware, got kind of so I guess that.

Speaker 10 (29:50):
Really got me?

Speaker 7 (29:51):
You really got me?

Speaker 5 (30:04):
Yes, indeed, Oh boy, oh boy.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
Ben Worsing eruption and you really got me with Glenn
Hamilton on vocals, Eric Wersing on guitar.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Man does that stand out and hit you with some rock?
How about it? It's a high energy set.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
And I tell you what, we learned a couple of
new songs new to us on the set list from
what we played at Fedji July. So if you were
at Vegji July, come on out to rock the food
Bank because we have a couple of surprises for you.
We've been working on excellent. How many how many albums
are you said? You're sticking to that kind of We
do the David Lee Roth era. We have something from
each album. Okay, nice, all right? And you want to

(30:42):
tease anything specific, No, that's a pretty good tease right there.
Just hearing Eric Wersing play that guitar. You just wait
till you hear him live in person, cranked up at
Excel Live.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
Such a tease. It's gonna be fun. Can't wait? All right?
So we have one more song.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Amy Simpson is going to be playing with Dan Kibler,
and who knows, we might get Amy up to sing
with some of the other bands as well, because she's
just you know, she's the queen. Might as well agree
the Queen. I would love if we could get her
up on with with Van Werzing to sing. Ain't talking
about love with me? I'll have to talk to her
about tab anyway. This is Amy and I'm gonna tear
your playhouse down. The local show on the River ninety

(31:19):
seven three and iHeartRadio.

Speaker 16 (31:34):

Speaker 7 (31:38):
You think you got the perfect.

Speaker 15 (31:43):
Fun, every good seem planning day.

Speaker 22 (31:49):

I'm gonna cheer that play house. Gelfie, Oh, I'm coming

You can go to the River ninety seven three dot
com or XLHBG dot com for everything you need to
know to join us on December fifth. Remember it's Amy
Simpson and Dan Kibler, followed by Cold Spring Union, the
Swisher Suites, the Jellybricks and Glenn's Van Wersing.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Oh it's Eric van Wersing's Van Wersing. Let's be clear
about that.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
I'm just I'm just trying not to screw up the guitar, man.
I'm just I sing what I need to sing and
get out of the way. Man, it's gonna be a blast.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
It is, all right.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
How can people get their music submitted for future shows? Yes,
if you would like to hear your track right here
on the local show The River ninety seven to three,
submit your track for consideration for airplay by going to
our website cpmhof dot com, slash radio right, and don't
forget we upload the episodes to the podcast every week.
Follow The River local Show on the iHeartRadio app under

(37:28):
podcast and look for the new episodes usually Mondays around lunchtime,
or if I forget, Tuesdays.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
So there you go.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
Thanks so much for tuning in. For Brandon Valentine, I'm
Glenn Hamilton. The best way you can support these artists
is to follow them on social media and go out
