Speaker 1 (00:00):
This hour of programming on seven ten woar. He's sponsored
by Toyota City and Mamaranac and Nissan. City of port Chester,
proud members of the Integrity Automotive Group. Now former Westchester
County executive Rob Astorina on seven ten War.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Night, I am here for the last time of the year.
We're back next Saturday. I'm so glad you're with me.
Let's wrap up twenty twenty four together. Rob Estorino here
on seven ten wor What a year? Huh, crazy, lots
(00:42):
to talk about, And I thought, you know, this is
it's kind of an easy one, but there's a lot
to pick from, and I'm interested to think what it
would be for you. So obviously, like the winner of
the year, the person of the year, it's not even
a it's not even a guess, you know. I mean,
(01:04):
it's an easy one. It's Donald Trump. But let's go
to the other side, the worst of the worst, the
biggest loser of the year. And yeah, I know you
might say Biden, and that's fine, you can mention why
or Kamala obviously, but there's a lot of others and
it doesn't have to be a person. It could be
(01:25):
an institution or something, and you know, you start thinking
back to the year, and it was a lot that happened,
and I mean, there's just I'll start. Let me start
with Joe Biden for a second, and then of course
you can always add but there's this is what I
was thinking about coming over. Should Joe Biden go to jail?
(01:50):
Donald Trump is gonna he has sufficient evidence. Basically, now,
the Oversight Committee put everything out to the public. The
media wanted nothing to do with it. They hit it all,
they called it, you know, bad politics and Donald Trump
going after his opponents, all that nonsense, and they stopped.
(02:12):
They really stopped doing what they're supposed to do the press,
which is nothing new. They completely covered up for Joe Biden.
And now we see that it goes deeper. It really
was all the government covering up for Joe Biden because
a they didn't want Donald Trump back in the White House,
and b they wanted Joe Biden to continue because he's
a bird brain. He's got nothing left upstairs. So unelected bureaucrats,
(02:38):
unelected members of the administration were running the country and
making decisions. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if they
just used the auto pen and the pen to actually
sign legislation or veto or anything like that didn't even
touch Joe Biden's hand. He has no clue what he
(02:59):
actually did for the last four years because others did
it for him in his name while he spent forty
percent of his time on the beach or at least
on vacation. Forty percent of his presidency he was on vacation.
Imagine that forty percent, and the other sixty percent his
head was on vacation because he was nowhere to be
(03:20):
found anyway. But so I'm wondering, and I just want
to go through this real quickly because to me, Joe
Biden should be in jail or at least should be
put on trial for what he did because he lied.
(03:41):
Hunter Biden now gets this pardon, so he's going to
skate free. The whole Biden family is going to get
away with murder because you know what's going to happen.
Biden's gonna just pardon them for their sins that they've
committed or haven't committed to try to protect them because
we know through whistleblowers, we know now through photos what
(04:03):
we knew back then, but they hid from US. The
archives hid from US photos of Joe Biden and Hunter
Biden back in twenty thirteen when Hunter caught a ride
on Air Force two with Joe to China and he
was specifically introduced to the president of China's Jes Ziping
(04:29):
and the vice president and others, And it just so
happened when they left Boom, Hunter gets a big, beautiful
contract from a Chinese own company. The same thing happened
with Ukraine. And you know, the whole time, Joe Biden
denied it. He denied it to the press, he denied
it to whenever they asked him, which was very rare.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
And.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Nobody did their job other than the Republicans in the House,
which tried and they presented it and it was buried.
And so now we know that Joe sold this country out.
We know through the wire transfers and the canceled checks
and everything else that Joe Biden and his family personally,
(05:13):
personally and financially gained from those relationships with those foreign
countries and foreign entities. And it was only through his
government job that he was able to move this forward
for his family. And when he was out, it was
the potential of him being president, that these companies continued
(05:37):
the relationship. Nobody's gonna want to have anything to do
with Joe Biden. Now he's never coming back. He held
will have no influence. Same thing with the Clinton Foundation.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
True.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
When Hillary was running, everyone was writing a check to
Hillary Clinton's foundation, and man, did they feed off that
They feasted off that that was the influence, the corruption,
the wink that, hey, that's the back door into my administration.
You want to write a big check, put it to
the foundation, perfectly illegal, wink wink, And when I get in,
(06:13):
I don't forget that. It's the same thing. But Biden
was far worse. And now we get all these pictures
that they denied never happened. I never talked business with
my son. I'm never gonna pardon my son all this stuff.
So it's kind of like, all right, he's out, he's
no longer calling the shots if he ever did. And
(06:35):
you've got the Republicans coming in controlling the agenda, a
lot of important things to do to fix that damn
mess that they made. Do you kind of go after
Joe Biden and reveal all the truth when he's out,
to say just how corrupt they were and how much
in jeopardy he put this country. Don't tell me. They
(06:59):
probably were holding things over his head. Maybe not an
outright bribe, but they had the goods on him and
did that affect his policy decisions? Looks like it did, so,
I mean, that's that's gonna be a good argument, a
good debate when Trump gets in there, whether or not,
(07:20):
the House and the Senate and the administration through the
DOJ should really push and push and push, because you
know what's gonna happen. They're gonna cry. You see the
autocrat Donald Trump using the government to go after his opponents,
which is exactly what they did the Democrats. But is
(07:42):
there gonna be justice or not? So to me, And
let's go back to the biggest winners and losers. The
biggest winner obviously was Donald Trump. Nobody ever would imagine
that what this guy went through for four years of
January sixth, when he was still in office, and the
(08:04):
riots at the Capitol, and how so many took shots
at Donald Trump, including on the Republican side, he will
never be back in office. And they threw the book
at him. They tried the law, fair stuff, they tried
to keep him off the ballot. They tried to shoot
him dead, they tried everything, and this guy, like the phoenix,
(08:26):
came right back out of the ashes and is going
back to the White House in twenty something days. Biggest
winner period, the biggest loser though, and that's up for debate.
I mean, you got a lot of people to choose from.
You got people and institutions here in New York, you
have throughout the country. I mean, there's a lot of
things I'm not even thinking of. So I'd be interested
(08:50):
to see who you think are the biggest losers as
we go forward. And again, like I said, a lot
to choose from. So one in hundred and three, two,
one zero seven ten, if you want to play along.
What a crappy day. I was walking over here. It's
just that rainy, misty yuck. But hopefully it melts the snow.
And I heard this yesterday and it was sad that
(09:13):
Greg Gumble passed away. Greg Gumble, you know I grew
up on and I got to meet him plenty of times.
Just the nicest guy.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
You know.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
I grew up watching Bryant Gumble, you know, with NBC
and Greg Gumbel and whenever you would watch the NC
Double A tournament. You'd hear that great music and then
there's Greg Gumble to bring off, you know, just the
start the NC Double A tournament on that Thursday afternoon
in March, March madness. And of course he was on
(09:45):
the anchor desk and and he was calling games with
Phil Simms. He was just what I would say a
true gentleman is. You know, you could just tell the
warmth on the TV when you would see him, and
that's exactly how he was in person. So Greg Gamble
Gumble died at seventy eight from cancer and really sad,
(10:10):
very very sad. So I want to listen to Greg
Gumbel just a second, because this is the voice of
one of the best.
Speaker 5 (10:20):
Welcome to the Stuff Hub Center in Los Angeles for
this most interesting day of first. Hurricane Hermo whited out
the Dolphins opener last week, so this is Miami's first
game of the new season. It's the Chargers first home
game of twenty seventeen and their first regular season home
game in LA since nineteen sixty. That is the backdrop
today before a match up between the Miami Dolphins and
(10:42):
the Los Angeles Charging Job.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Brucey had my Dolphins. That's good, good for you. That
was twenty seventeen, courtesy of CBS Sports. So yeah, Greg Gumbel,
rest in peace, A really good man, all right? Woned
one hundred and three two one zero seven ten. Biggest Loser,
biggest newser who gets the big l over the forehead
(11:04):
for the year twenty twenty four. That's my question to
you at one eight hundred and three two one zero
seven ten. Not sure if you're ready for New Year's Eve.
New Year's Eve is one of those things. It's one
of those holidays that, eh, I never really got into.
In fact, up until last year, my wife and I
(11:25):
I don't think we did anything. We generally just home.
Once in a while, we'd go to a friend's house
for something low key. But I just we never really
got into New Year's Eve. It's just I don't know.
It's it is amateur night, and it's it's a night
where they completely financially rape you wherever you go. But
(11:46):
this year we're actually going out. We're going to Huntington
in Long Island and we're gonna go to a very nice, elegant,
romantic dinner with two other couples. When I say elegant,
you can read expensive, but anyway, it will be a
fun night. And then we're gonna go over to the
(12:06):
Paramount Theater in Huntington to see my friends. So when
we would play it's all going so well. That song
we played throughout the entire election. And my friend Peter
wrote that song, and so he is the Barry Gibb
in the New York Begs and they they're great. Anyway,
(12:31):
they're playing at the Paramount Theater and there's an opening
band too, and they're great. It's just a fun concert.
So we're gonna go, of course to dinner, and then
we're gonna go over to the Paramount. So if I
see you or you see me, actually, if you see
me at the Paramount Theater, if you're happen to go
that night, come up to me and say hi, feel
free to buy me a drink. Now, okay, all right,
(12:53):
we got to step aside. And before I do, though,
I want to say, if you don't have plans yet,
well may I sig just Benjamins? Why Benjamin's Because it's phenomenal.
If you like steak, Benjamins is the steakhouse to go to.
And you got a lot to choose from, but this
is one of the best. They have two locations in
(13:13):
New York City right near Grand Central, and then they
have one in White Planes. The three of them are terrific,
great places. And so now is the time. I mean,
you know, the New Year's Eve, a lot of people
do go out and they don't mind paying a little
more because it's you know, it's an event. You go
and you have a great meal, maybe some dancing, certainly
(13:36):
a toast at midnight. And I think Dick Clark's going
to be back this year. Did he ever die? And
so this is your chance. If you want to go
to Benjamin Steakhouse, They've got a great, great opportunity for
you on New Year's Eve. They're open from four o'clock
until eleven o'clock, and they've got dinner, steak dinner decorations,
(13:59):
and they're gonna do a champagne toast at midnight. So
Benjamin's dot com, Benjamin Steakhouse dot com, Benjamin Steakhouse dot com,
because Benjamin Steakhouse is a cut above the rest. All right,
we'll line up your phone calls at one eight hundred
three two one zero seven ten. By the way, if
(14:19):
you have another winner other than Donald Trump, like the
second biggest winner. You could throw that in there too,
but I'm interested to hear who the biggest loser is again.
That could be a person, or that can be a thing,
slash institution whatever. One hundred three to two, one zero
seven ten, The Robastorino Show right here on seven ten WR.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Rob Astorino on seven ten WR.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
And a very special happy birthday to my friend Lauren
Lauren Zeitler. Boris. Yes, Boris. We went out with them
last year to Huntington to the Paramount, had a great time.
We grew up together, so it's a nice fifty some
birthday to her. All right, one in one hundred and
(15:07):
three to two one zero seven ten. I'm going to
start it off, okay, but before I do, I want
to tell you, of course, about my good friends at
Toyota City, where you know, if it's the new year
and it's going to be in a couple of days
and your car's like clunking out and it's time to
get a new one, then think about Toyota City because
(15:29):
they've got a great inventory and they've got really good
lease rates as well, and financing officers officers offers when
you've got the interest rates coming down a little bit too.
No hidden fees, Very very efficient with their process and
quick delivery of the vehicle. They give you respect, you
(15:49):
get their word, best customer care ever, like ever. And
you know what, I'm a member of the Integrity Automotive Group,
which is part of Toyota City. Is part of that,
and I want you to be part of their family too.
So you just go to if you want to drive there, Mamaronick,
it's right off ninety five or right off Route one,
(16:13):
Toyota City. Or you could just look up the cars
in the vehicles Toyota cityeny dot com, Toyota cityeny dot
com and pick out your car, call them up or
stop by. You tell them rob Astorino sent you. And
you know what, boom boom boom boom boom was that five?
I think there was. That's five hundred dollars off any
(16:35):
vehicle in stock. It's not a bad way to start
the new year. Toyota City, my buddy's Toyota City in Mamarnick.
All right, I'm going to start this off on the
biggest loser of twenty twenty four and then I'll take
your calls at one eight hundred and three two one
zero seven ten. So I think the biggest loser. And
again I kind of put Biden and Kamala House on
(16:57):
the side because those were kind of obvious, but you
could pick them if you want to me. The media
was the biggest loser of twenty twenty four because once
again they showed their true colors. They're naked, and we
don't like what we see, and just think of all
the different things. I mean, they just showed off how
(17:17):
brutally left they are, to the point where they don't
do their job anymore. Ever, they completely as I was
talking before, completely hiding anything and everything for Joe Biden,
whether it was the scandals, whether it was complete inability
to speak a complete sentence, whether it was his mental
decline which they all pretended didn't exist, all of those things,
(17:43):
they completely look the other way. So aside from that,
when the debate came, the media was shamed because Joe
Biden was pathetic, clearly because of his inner ability to debate,
I mean, his inability to complete a sentence. It was.
(18:05):
It was sad, it was scary, and we had the
media to blame because they covered up for it. But
that was a turning point. And then you know, you
had the debate, the second debate with Kamala Harrison and
Donald Trump, where they fact checked Donald Trump the entire
time and let Kamala Harris lie the entire time. I mean,
(18:26):
those were a few things you had. You had when
the La Times and the Washington Post because I think
they sniffed the polls and realized, uh oh, Trump might
win this thing. And when they didn't give an endorsement
the newsroom, remember the Washington Post editorial board and newsroom,
(18:47):
the reporters quote unquote went ballistic and threatened to resign
because their lady, Kamala Harris and the you know, the monster,
Donald Trump, they didn't have an endorsement, and that that
was also publicly on display. We saw how bad they were,
so I gotta think. And then you got like the
(19:10):
sixty Minutes interview where they chopped it up for Kamala Harris,
and all of these things just led to again the
media being exposed and having a horrible year. And it's
why the media, and really the legacy media is not
trusted anymore by anybody really. I mean, their numbers are
(19:30):
so bad and I don't know how that gets any better?
All right, loading up the calls here, so let's go
right to it. One one hundred and three, two, one
zero seven to ten the best maybe, but really the worst.
Jeff from Maplewood. You're gonna start it off.
Speaker 6 (19:44):
Hi Jeff, Yeah, Hi, Rob, And the quick aside, I
hope you run for governor again. But put that aside.
I called it a loser, well, actually a winner the
league system in the United States. Look at what they
tried to do to Donald Trump. They tried to kick
(20:06):
his rear end off the ballot. They tried to have
these phony charges in criminal cases. And at the end
of the day, he's survived. At the legal system is
basically said get lost, okay, And so I consider that
(20:26):
a winner. It's not. It wasn't pretty. It was you know,
the legal system sort of limped along. But I consider
that a winner that at the end of the day
we basically said, you know, get out of here with
all this crap.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Jeff, that's a good point. Thanks for the call. I
would say the legal system was both a winner and
a loser. It was a winner because you had the
Supreme Court and certain judges do the right thing. It
was a big loser because you had certain like the
Colorado Supreme Court, in the Colorado Court system, the New
York Court system, all of which played along with the
(21:05):
far left nonsense, and it actually, you know, gave the
left their wins in the lower rounds. So I think
both winner and loser for the legal system. One three, two,
one zero seven to ten. Chris in Bethpage, Long Island,
how are you, Chris.
Speaker 7 (21:26):
Hey, Rob very well, before we get to the winners
and losers quickly. I always been painting this analogy for
a while. My wife and I have a lot of
Trump's paraphernalia that we never wore during the election season
because you always worried if you go out and publish
what people are going to say. So Friday after he won,
we went out to a local club in Long Island,
(21:47):
and I was a little worried. Okay, you would be
shocked how many people came up to us, fist puffing us,
high fiving us.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
You know.
Speaker 7 (21:55):
The analogy I make is Rob Remember in the Wizard
of Oz when darthy the water on the Wicked Witch
and she was worried about all the gate you know,
the guards, and then they all knelt down and said, oh.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Well, that's right.
Speaker 7 (22:10):
That's what I feel like when I wear the Trump stuff.
Now it's like everybody has been hiding behind this wall
of almost shane that you can't support the guy, and
now you realize and how many people actually really like
the guy.
Speaker 8 (22:23):
It's shocking.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Yeah, yeah, it's true. I'll let you get to the losers.
And a second, it's true because yesterday I was on
Metro North coming home. I did the eight o'clock show
on Newsmax Forfinity, and I'm on my way home and
there was a guy walking on the train on Metro
North and he had this Trump T shirt on and
I stopped him. I said, hey, great shirt, and he goes,
(22:44):
You're like the twentieth person that has just said something
to me about my shirt. So you're right, all right,
who's the biggest loser?
Speaker 8 (22:51):
Exactly?
Speaker 3 (22:52):
All right?
Speaker 7 (22:53):
So the biggest loser, I'm gonna say, is definitely Barack Obama.
Speaker 9 (22:57):
All Right.
Speaker 7 (22:58):
The loser you gave the media is fine, But I'm
gonna give you another analogy. You gave me the Jets
their perennial losers. The media's always been losing. Nobody likes
the media, but Barack Obama's like the Giants, a one
proud franchise. Okay that whoever he backs now it's toxic.
He's become a big loser. Barack Obama every time he
(23:19):
goes to these rallies and he you know, he looked
at the black men and said, you can't be voting.
You got to vote for harm. To me, he was
the loser. I want to know how you And by
the way, two other winners very quickly Elon Musk and
bb Net and Yahoo are the two other good winners.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
I'll let you comment, Rob Okay, that's great stuff, Chris. Yeah, no,
that's a great point. Barack Obama is finished. I think
he's finished. And he covered up for Joe Biden too,
because they knew Joe Biden's mental decline was well in
the uh, well on its way when Obama was in
the White House and Joe Biden was the Vice President.
(23:58):
They knew then, and yet they still they still backed
him this time when he never should have ran for
a second term. One and three, two, one zero seven
to ten. Rob Astrino here on the Rob Aserno Show,
Maddie in Seaford, Long Island, Hig Maddie, Hey, Rob Are
you good man.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
Oh, hold on, hold on, Yeah, I'm the biggest winner
that I have. I have a few winners. Actually one
of them is my organization, the Winner Center for Autism
in West Babylon. And I have another big winner at
Trump because he declared victory. He he he outsmall he
he really was the of what's that called the the
(24:41):
the the outlier yep in my opinion, and then the loser.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
I would say, yeah, yep, go Who's who's the loser?
Speaker 4 (24:49):
You're the loser I think, in my opinion are the Democrats,
particularly I think Joe Biden because he parted in thirty
seven men from death row to be serving life without sentence.
And the second biggest losers I think in my opinion
are the Democrats in the state legislature because and your activists,
(25:09):
because they pushed through far left pieces. They try to
once again Jerry Manner the districts and they're passing like
like Antick pro defended criminal justice law. Was that not
in line with Joe Biden or Hillary Come? But I'm
aligned with Bernie Sanders and our our revolution, you know
what I say.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
Maddie, Thanks for the call, appreciate it. One two one
zero seventy ten, flushing Migualina.
Speaker 10 (25:36):
How are you, Migdalina, Oh, hip, I like to talk
to you too, Okay. The biggest loser is that I
have to the Democratic Party and the nation itself. But
at the same time, I'm very happy that our baby
Trump is like a new baby coming into a family
(25:56):
that everybody all of a sudden they forget about the animal.
Although they're gonna be some jealous people, He's unifying the
country and we have to support him.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Baby Trump. I could just see it now, Donald Trump's
the light bulb in his head is gonna go off,
and you're gonna have baby Trump dolls with, you know,
coming out with like a two week old baby Trump
with all this uh reddish blondish hair, baby Trump and
they talk, Oh they talk, all right, yeah, yeah, yes,
(26:32):
all right, yeah, Miguelina, thanks for the call. Is one
zero seven ten rob Astarino. Here, let's go to Sandra. Hi, Sandra,
New Jersey, Hi.
Speaker 11 (26:48):
Hi, Happy New Year to you, and I enjoy seeing
you on Newsmax. Whenever you're on. It's like a real
treat as far as loses go. In my opinion, Luigi
Mangioni is a freaking loser. I think that man who
burned that woman alive in the subway is a real
freaking loser. And I think most of all, Biden's a
(27:11):
loser because you know, in nineteen ninety four he was
different with his politics. He was against criminal guards, he
was against it a lot. He was almost like I
would say, he almost signed the death penalty thing. So
he changed like three hundred and sixty degrees. I think
he's a people pleaser. I think he's an enabler. I
think he's a loser. I'm reading this book that what's
(27:34):
her name wrote The Laptop from Hell, and you should
see all the corruption that he goes on with his
son and with his family. And you know what, Rob,
I think he's going to get away with everything. He's
going to walk away unscathed, as usual as always, and
it's very sad.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Yeah, Miranda Devine's book, great book. And Sondra, thanks for
the call. She was either marching, her wipers were on,
all right, Let's see more calls. One eight hundred three
two one zero seven ten. One eight hundred three two
one zero seven ten. Now's the time to call, and
if you want, got a couple of lines open. Let
(28:15):
us go to Patricia in Brooklyn High Patricia, thank you, Happy.
Speaker 12 (28:21):
New Year, thanks to you and your family.
Speaker 7 (28:24):
Rob.
Speaker 12 (28:26):
It's amazing. I'm gonna elect our mayor in New York City.
Speaker 7 (28:33):
What a woozer.
Speaker 12 (28:35):
Another person was set on fire yesterday, this time in
Grand Central. It's amazing. It's just amazing. We're supposed to
take the subways. And where is our mayor? Does he
ever go into the subway with our his detail that
protects him. Why doesn't he just go and find himself
(28:58):
and see what the rest of us have to deal with?
Eric Adams, I do as what's the guy's name sake,
I do denounce you. I'm sorry, I'm just making a
sick jot here.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Patricia, thank you for the call. So just a word
on that you kind of expect. It's sad to say,
crime and the horrible stuff, the wacky stuff to be
in the subways when you don't expect, like in twenty
four minutes from now, when I start walking across town
(29:34):
to get into Grand Central, you don't expect somebody to
come up to you, beat the living daylights out of
you from behind and shove a knife in your throat
and you don't expect there to be no cops around
and nobody help you other than take out their iPhone
and record so they can post it. That's what you
(29:58):
don't expect. And I tell you, I think of these moments, like,
if something like this were to happen, if I were
in that moment where somebody was being lit on fire
or somebody was being attacked, would I do the Daniel
Penny thing? I would hope that I would. But I
tell you, if you if you have a moment to
think about it and think about what you might have
(30:20):
to go through, you may not. But I hope it's
just instinctive that you just rush to somebody's aid and
you think about the consequences later. But I think more
people are starting to think about the consequences while it's
happening and say uh uh no, frickin way, and then
they take out their their phones and they start recording,
(30:40):
because that's apparently what you do. Now. You don't call
nine one one, you don't help, you record so you
can post it on your Instagram. Ah, isn't that fun?
Speaker 13 (30:49):
God?
Speaker 2 (30:50):
It's crazy? One in one hundred and three two one
zero seven ten, who's the biggest l Biggest Loser of
twenty twenty four Arthur in Ronkonkama and the on the
Island High Arthur, how.
Speaker 8 (31:06):
You doing good? All right?
Speaker 3 (31:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (31:08):
You know everyone's holding him at the big guy. The
big guy, Barack Obama's the biggest loser. He's got a
losing streak that's unparalleled, and I think it's gonna come out.
Then he's a big guy. And the way he promoted
Joe Biden, it's irrational. Otherwise, you know, he promoted me.
He knew he was compromised, he knew all this, he
(31:29):
knew what was going on. And I think he's a
big guy.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
Yeah, probably not, but only because Hunter. You know, he
kept it pretty close to the nest egg and Hunter's dad,
Joe was the one that opened everything for him. And Bobolinsky,
if you remember, Tony, Bobolinski said that the big guy
was definitely Joe Biden. So I would say it was
Joe Biden and not Barack Obama. One eight hundred and
(31:54):
three two one zero seven to ten. Let's see in
the Bronx we got hi Rob.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
Hey, Rob, how are you sir?
Speaker 13 (32:03):
Good?
Speaker 3 (32:04):
Good? Thanks? We got to win. My wife Rachel's sitting
with me here. We got a winner for you, the
American people, now that Trump's been reelected back in the office.
I think the American people are going to get a
get a real win out of this. And our biggest loser, yeah,
the legal system. Yeah, we both agree that. You know,
man with Alvin Bragg and Fanny Willis and all these
corrupt politicians and DA's they really showed their rear ends
(32:27):
this year.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
Yeah, that's a great point. And it's it's not only them,
but you go to a lot of these major cities
now and the prosecutors, if they're backed by Soros, they
disregard the entire law. So, but the people are starting
to push back. In California, they had Prop. Thirty six,
which overturned the lunacy of no prosecutions if it's one
(32:53):
thousand dollars or less that you steal. So I mean,
that's like, you know, that's the greatest sale in the world,
and they get away with it, and obviously it led
to rampant crime, and we've seen that all over the place.
So I think there's a little correction going on here.
And you're right. I think the legal system in the
end ultimately normally does the right thing, but we've seen
(33:17):
instances too many of them last year in the name
of getting Trump where they did not, so it was
ugly and three two one zero seven ten. Let's go
to Maria in Tarrytown.
Speaker 14 (33:30):
Hi, Maria, I know it's I was thinking Alvin Bragg
because specifically because I'm a New Yorker. I've been in
New Yorker all my life. I'm still scared to go
into the city because he's protecting the criminals and his
hate for Trump was blatant Ambius during the whole time
(33:52):
and the Penny trial. I mean, he was always pushing
and to protect the criminal. So I wouldn't vote for
him ever again. I hope New Yorkers are clearly see this.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
Yep, thanks for the call. One hundred and three two
one zero seven ten. If you're like in your car
right now, or you're home listening and you're like, why
why didn't somebody say this the biggest loser is well,
then you got to pick up the phone one eight
hundred and three two one zero seven ten, and you
got to tell everybody about it. Let me see here, Uh.
Speaker 13 (34:28):
Joe in Manhattan, Hi Joe, Rob, Merry Christmas and happy
newiar to you, thank you. The biggest winger is of course, yeah.
The biggest winger is of course Trump, right, and the
biggest loser, well that's a tie. I'm not the tie
that you wear, but the losers Joe Biden and hochel Man.
Disgusting Democrat Joe Biden, I legal jumped across that America's border,
(34:51):
burned to dead flame the New York City subway victim.
That's disgusting, and discussing Democrat Hocal in New York She's
a crime in New York City sub boy, it's whoa,
that's disgusting.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
Yeah, what a stupid, stupid thing she did the other day,
trying to be cute. When hours hours after that, animal
Sebastian Zapeta lit that homeless person on fire, watched her burn,
and again nobody did anything. Hours after that, Hulkle posts
(35:26):
a selfie bragging about how crime is down in the subways.
What an idiot. And then of course the whole congestion
pricing thing one hundred and three to two one zero
seven ten, Uh, just a couple more here and then
I got I got another thing to do, all right,
(35:48):
let me see here do do cat in Staten Island.
Hey kat how are you, hi, Rob?
Speaker 13 (35:55):
How are you?
Speaker 15 (35:56):
Merry Christmas? Happy New Year?
Speaker 2 (35:58):
Thank you you too?
Speaker 15 (36:00):
Wait, thank you. I'm waiting for a big happy new Year.
I want to say that the biggest loser is, of course,
Kamala Harris, just like Hillary Clinton. She thought she was
entitled to the presidency. And I cannot tell you how
much joy it brought me to see her lose. And
the one to eighty degree to that is. The biggest winner,
(36:23):
of course, is Big Daddy Trump. I can't wait till
two pm on January twenty. It's to see what he's
going to do. I'm going to the inauguration. I'm so excited.
I just full of joy. They thought their campaign was joyful.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
You won't even have to wait till two That's okay.
It's a little less word. We end the season with
a little less word. All right, thanks so much for
the call. One one hundred and three two one zero
seven to ten. Joe in Carmel in Putnam County, Hi Joe.
Speaker 13 (36:54):
How you doing? Katy? Oh goo bye?
Speaker 14 (36:57):
One hundred yards.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Blow out Kathy Olga. I would have to agree, certainly.
In New York, she's the biggest loser, and you're going
to run for governor again. Thank you. I appreciate that, Joe.
All right, let me get one last call here, Patricia
in Siacid. Hi, Patricia, Hi.
Speaker 9 (37:18):
Some people have said before, but I have a few
different reasons. The biggest losers was definitely the Democratic Party,
their leaders and the Democratic media, like on the view
all the lies. That's my whole thing is about the lies.
Like I think finally America realized that they were just
you know, that fighting is okay, that the immigrants aren't
(37:40):
robbing people right here where I live. Our stores were
never you know, the windows were never broken and things
like that. And Biden flew in a whole planeload of
in the you know, illegals, and they tried to hide
them here. And then all of a sudden, we have
a whole lot of problems and they say, oh no, no,
it's not them, it's just total life. And the winners
(38:00):
are the American public, the American people. I was shocked
in a way that Trump won because I really didn't
think that the American people were getting the right message.
I really thought that they were falling for the lives
that Biden was saying in all the media and that
when they showed that, the American people rose up and said,
(38:24):
we get it, we get it. I was so happy,
you know. And what the other gentleman said about wearing
some trump you know, we get hell yeah around I
had a trumpet once, you know, walking through stop and shop,
just wary. And then people were whispering to me. They
were coming up saying, oh, my hat, nice hat. Nobody
had the nerve to say.
Speaker 4 (38:45):
It out loud.
Speaker 2 (38:47):
I think we lost Patricia there. All right, well, Patricia,
thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Who we
got here, Wendy? Oh she hung up. I'm sorry, okay,
all right, so well, thanks for the calls. We had
a lot of calls there a lot of new ones too.
I always appreciate that, and of course are regulars. I
got to tell you about Nissan City and port Chester.
(39:09):
So if you need that Nissan, you like that new
car smell, get your nice brand new twenty twenty five Nissan.
Then you go to part of Integrity Automotive Groups, Nissan
City and Portchester. Same deal as Toyota City because they're
part of the family. Really good stuff, lots of cars
(39:29):
to try, take a little test drive, play with the buttons,
ask the questions, and then get good rates and financing
and good deals. So make sure you go to Nissan City.
And I am a member of the Integrity Automotive family.
I got my vehicle from them, and so I have
no problem touting these guys because I know them to
(39:50):
be good. And that's why I'm telling you. You know,
there are plenty of Nissan places, there are plenty of
Toyota dealerships. Where you go kind of matters. So in
my case, you gotta go to Nissan City if you
want a Nissan or Toyota City if you want a Toyota.
Both in Westchester. Easy to get to from from really anywhere.
(40:10):
But you don't even have to go there. You could
just look it up Nissan cityeny dot com and there's
the cars. Pick one out and give them a buzz,
say hey, I want that one. Nissan cityeny dot com. Transparency,
efficiency and respect is what you get from Nissan City
in Portchester, part of the Integrity Automotive Group. You're gonna
(40:34):
be surprised at what made it into the top ten
in baby names coming up. This shows you things are
a change in a little bit. Rob Astorino here on
seven to ten, wor.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
Sear for since it's the rob as Dono.
Speaker 2 (40:52):
Show coming down the home stretch. One last call for
twenty twenty four on the rob Astorno Show that is
in Paterson, New Jersey. Hello Pam, Hello, Happy new year.
Thank you.
Speaker 14 (41:05):
The biggest winner are the cats in Ohio. The biggest
loser is lose Cheney.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
Good. That's that's great. And speaking of cats and dogs,
I saw something here that they actually broke it down.
You know when these exit polls, they asked so many
different questions, and so for men who own cats or dogs,
they voted for Donald Trump. So any guy, well, fifty
(41:36):
two percent of men who own cats voted for Trump,
fifty nine percent of men who owned dogs voted for Trump,
and fifty six percent who had both voted for Trump. Now,
women voters who only own cats, you know, the cat
ladies that Jdvans talked about. If you only own a cat,
(41:58):
almost sixty percent percent of you voted for Kamala Harris.
If you only own a dog, women, you actually voted
more for Trump. If you own both a dog and
a cat, you voted for Trump by fifty two percent.
If you have no pets, probably no husband either. You
voted for Kamala Harrison, big numbers. I thought that was
(42:20):
pretty interesting. Again, if I talked about Benjamins before, here's
another place. If you're in Manhattan, but you don't want
to go like the Nuttyville that would be like Times
Square for New Year's Eve, then it's not too late
to go to Angeletto's restaurant, really really great place. It
is on forty seventh Street and Second Avenue, very close
(42:43):
to the un and Grand Central, and they've got a
lot going on. And I love really good Italian food,
not the olive garden. I love like good stuff. And
this is Angeletto's, although olive gardens and not have that
bad I've had it. But Angeletto's is like a David Brunoli,
(43:05):
the chef from Rome. He brings the traditional Roman dishes
and just really good. He goes shopping every day, he
told me he does the actual shopping. He goes to
the markets and gets all of his agreed ingredients and
then makes his specials and makes up the menu. So
Angeletto's for some different kind of Italian food. I mean,
(43:28):
you know, this is like real Italian food in Italy,
not so much all the sauces that you would get here,
like the Italian sauce. Well we considered Italian sauce. But anyway,
go and say hi David Brunoli. And Saturday nights so
in a couple hours they have their opera night, believe
it or not, where they bring in professional Officionados would
(43:48):
love this. They bring the professional singers who perform at
the met at the San Francisco Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera,
all the good places. So this is like, this is
better than karaoke. Yeah, you're gonna hear good stuff and
maybe open up a nice bottle of red wine and
just have a good time. So anyway you're coming into
the city or make a trip of it, maybe even
(44:10):
after all this nuttiness with New Year's Eve, stop over
Angeletto's Restaurant on Second Avenue and forty seventh Street. Oh righty,
let me see. There's a couple of things. So the
twenty twenty three top names for babies. Think about this.
(44:30):
You know, if you go back twenty years, it was
the Josephs and the Roberts they were in there to
the Stevens for boys, the number nine, and it's a
tie so Michael is all the way down to nine now,
and this is from New York City names. Michael is
(44:52):
tied with Mohammed. Mohammed first time the name Ohammad for
a boy in New York City cracks the top ten.
Talk about some demographic changes, huh. Eight is Dylan, seven
is Joseph. Ethan is number six, Jacob is five, Lucas
(45:13):
is four, David is three, Noah is two. Noah, you're
number two, yep, and number one Liam. Now for the girls,
number ten, Sophia is ten. Number nine is Luna, which
is the name of one of my dogs. But I'm
(45:34):
just saying I don't mean that in a bad way.
But Luna for a girl is number nine. Chloe is eight,
Leah is seven, I'm Aliah is six, Isabella five, Olivia four, Sophia.
A lot of Italian names here, Sophia three, Mia is
two and the number one baby name for girls in
(45:58):
twenty twenty three New York City Emma. Interesting and speaking
of kids, this makes me feel really kind of old. Anyway.
You know, we are now finishing up Generation Alpha, so
people born between the years twenty ten and twenty twenty
(46:21):
four are in Generation Alpha. We are now once the
calendar changes, so January one, babies going forward, you will
be part of Generation Beta. Twenty twenty five to twenty
thirty nine will be Generation Beta. So you know, we
go back like gen Z was ninety six to twenty ten.
(46:45):
Jen Y was eighty one to ninety six. Those are
the millennials, I mean the baby boomers, which were starting
to feel very old. And now when we bump up
to a new category, oh ya yay, makes me feel
like crepid. I saw a cute story the other day
(47:06):
where a German shepherd got lost, ran away from its home,
and was gone for almost ten days. This was down
to Florida, I think like the Jacksonville area anyway. The
other day, the doorbell rings and not only does the
(47:31):
doorbell ring, but scratching on the door, and they go
to the door, open it and it's their German shepherd
which came back found its way home. I know Germans
are smart, but geez, the damned dog ran the doorbell like, hey,
I'm home, let me in. That's pretty cool. Ten days away, lost,
(47:54):
totally lost, and they had signs up lost and found.
They had the ring cameras so that nobody dropped the
dog off off. The dog actually found its way home,
went to the front door and somehow rang the doorbell
with its nose or paw, I don't know, and then
started scratching on the door. They are smart dogs. But
(48:15):
you know there's I just we have dogs, two of them,
Luna and Bella, and they just own us. We are like,
oh my god, there you know what I'm talking about.
If if you have a dog, all right, so make
sure you follow me on Facebook or x or Instagram, truth, Social,
get her whatever at Rob Ascerino. And of course check
(48:38):
out our podcast of this show or any other show.
And I have to say, I think there were some
really good ones, so I appreciate you participating. Please tell
your friends that were on Saturdays every Saturday at four
o'clock and you could always listen to us on the
app the iHeart app or seven to ten wor or
as I heard your windshiw wipers for some of you
(49:00):
in the old car. All right, so that's it. I'm done.
I hope you have a great, great New Year's Eve.
Be smart, don't be stupid, don't drink and drive, just
have a good time. And if you're coming into the city,
that's a big no for me, no thank you, never
on my bucket list. But if you are, make sure
you bring your diapers because it's gonna be a long
(49:23):
night standing outside if you're going to see the ball drop. Anyway,
I'm back in on Tuesday, Near's Eve from Mark Simone.
I'll be here at ten am on Tuesday, so looking
forward to that. Have a great one and enjoy your weekend.
Take care everybody.
Speaker 1 (49:37):
This hour of programming on seven to ten wor HE
is sponsored by Toyota City and Mamaranac and Nissan City
of port Chester, proud members of the Integrity Automotive Group,
