Speaker 1 (00:00):
This hour of programming. On seven ten doubo R. He's
sponsored by Toyota City and Mamaranac and Nissan City of
port Chester, proud members of the Integrity Automotive Group. Now
former Westchester County executive Rob Astorina on seven ten doubr.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Even bruces into it. You got to see this guy
over there in the control room. I knew i'd get you.
Get your horse and get on the saddle. Duke doesn't
love Burl. It is good to have you with us.
Rob Ascarino here on seven ten wo R. You heard

(00:43):
about the Q pole, the Quinnipiac Pole, which is, by
the way, generally speaking and no exception this time, a
junk pole. But I'll go through it because everyone was
saying such great news for Andrew Cuomo. There's good news,
not great news, because when you go through the numbers,
he's still in a heap of trouble. So I'll talk
about that in just a little bit and really break

(01:05):
it down. And it's kind of your jaw drops when
you see some of these numbers in here, because it's
so pathetic how the people who should know better do not.
And that's why Mamdomi's running away with it, and he
still is running away with it, by the way, So

(01:27):
I you know, early voting starts soon. Absentee ballots are
already being received, so people are voting. What's changed really
not much. One in one hundred three two one zero
seven ten, as always, is the number to call. One
in hundred and three two one zero seven ten. Give
us a little patience, by the way, if you're calling,

(01:47):
because I think Bruce is doing everything by himself today
in his New York Giants hoodie. Eh, you know what,
it was a fun game to watch the other night
Ben beaten Philadelphia. Who would have thunk? I did you
know why? I bet a friend of mine at Lucio's pecherie.
He said, there's no way the Giants can win. I said,

(02:09):
I don't even want the seven and a half points.
I think they're gonna win this game outright, And I
bet them straight up and I won ten bucks. So
let's talk first of all about what's happening with the
Middle East and Trump. This is just unbelievable because if
you watch MSNBC or CNN right now, uh, you know,

(02:30):
it's all about Donald Trump going after his enemies. Letitia James,
the Saint of all Saints is being targeted because she
is a foe opponent of Donald Trump. Latitia, that's the
example they're gonna use Letitia James, who was just indicted

(02:54):
by a federal grand jury in Virginia because of potential
or at least the allegation is mortgage fraud. If you
or I did that, and I have purchased a house,
I purchase property. So I know all the documents. Nothing
is fun about them, as reams and reams of documents

(03:14):
with a lot of legal ease. But the end of
the day, you're being told by your attorney and help
from the real estate agent or the closing attorneys. Hey,
you know it has to be true because what you're
putting here is a legal document and you are getting
these terms based on what you said. So Letitia James

(03:38):
lists her property in Virginia with apparently her husband who's
her also her dad as the co signer, and she
lists that it is her primary residence. She knows it was,
and she lived in New York. And because she lists
as her primary residence, she gets a favorable mortgage rate.

(04:01):
You can't do that on a second home or an
investment property. You get terms that aren't as good. And
if it has five or more units in it, that's
one term higher rate than if it's a primary residence
with less units or a single family home. So she
was being cute thinking she would never get caught, so

(04:22):
she can get whatever it is, a half a percent
less on her mortgage. And you know what, if you're
going to take a shot at the king, you better,
as they say, knock the crown off. And she didn't.
She went after Donald Trump, specifically in pretextual terms. I mean,
that's the definition of pretextual she said, as you know,

(04:45):
was she was campaigning, I will go after this man.
I will go after Orange Man because I hate him,
you hate him, we hate him. So let's go get him.
She led the mob towards Donald Trump and used her
office and the power within that office to go after him.
And she found this law that had nothing to do

(05:06):
with what she was going after. She came up with
a novel idea, she twisted it into six different ways,
and then of course she got a wink at a
nod from a judge who had Trump arrangement syndrome as well,
and they were in on it, and yet nobody got hurt,
no victim. Everyone in this case understood what they were doing.

(05:26):
They all made money, no victims. Nobody came forward and said,
please take this on for me. I'm the little guy here.
Nobody did that. She did it on her own because
she singularly said, I am going to get this guy.
And she put him through the ringer, and she put
all of us through the ringer. And obviously that is

(05:46):
going to be thrown out. It was already reduced, but
that whole thing will be thrown out. And just like
the rest of them, they thought what they were doing
was either righteous or certainly politically advantageou. So they use
the law that they have. They used, they used the

(06:06):
criminal justice system to go after somebody. They did it.
They started this crap. And then the last thing that
they thought was that this guy there is impossible, this
guy who led an insurrection on January sixth, there is
no way he will ever ever see the light of day.

(06:28):
He's gonna be in jail forever. Well, that didn't work out,
did it? And they never thought this guy would get reelected.
And I think I think the day in Butler, Pennsylvania,
when Donald Trump was shot, they all knew in their
minds that this guy was gonna win. That's the turning

(06:52):
point when I think the Letitia James probably craped her
pants said, oh god, this guy might win. And what's
he gonna do when he gets back in and you
know what, what does he do? He pours the sour
medicine onto the spoon and he is making her suck
it down good. I hope it tastes as bitter as

(07:12):
you gave out. That's not the way this is supposed
to work. But you know what, you actually did commit
a fraud if this is true, because that's pretty much
in black and white. You signed it, you knew what
you were signing. You're a member of the bar. You
know exactly what you were doing. You never thought you
were gonna get caught, but you did. And now these

(07:33):
guys have the gall because they are shameless, by the way, shameless.
Have you ever seen that on I saw on Netflix?
Now did you ever see the series Shameless with William
Macy Bruce? Did you ever see that one? No? Oh
my god, they are It is the most dysfunctional family ever,
the most politically incorrect stuff. It really is funny, just

(07:56):
in case, but it's like eleven seasons. But my wife's
started watching it and she's like a shameless junkie right now.
I cannot pull her away from the television. She's like
more episode. It's three in the morning. Can I go
to bed? But it is really funny. If you have
the time and want to watch something shameless, might be
something you could do. Anyway. The shameless is the Democrats

(08:21):
who now are lobbing law fair. I don't even know
they can't. They don't believe this. I mean, they're actually
keeping their their joking inside. They're doing a good job.
There's nobody with a straight face in the Democratic Party
that they have to have their fingers crossed when they're
saying that this is law fair? How dare you go
after Latitia James such bs anyway, she's gonna get what

(08:44):
she deserves. But and I love when Adams said, Mayor
Adams when he was asked about this, because of course,
Ma'm dommie and everybody came after Donald Trump for going
after his enemies. See this is what we're talking about democracy,
see at steak. But Adam said, let the process play out,

(09:04):
because isn't that what they put him through? To yep,
and even Cuomo who hates Letitia James with a passion
basically said the same thing. Well, you know, let this
play out, meaning f her. That's exactly what he was
saying without saying it. Good. All right, I want to

(09:27):
go through this poll for a second, this Quinnipiac poll
where I send my daughter's tuition money to Quinnipiac. So
a bunch of dopey political science students can get on
the phone and ask questions and come up with a
crappy pole and this is what they did. So if
you want a real poll, you have to the basic

(09:49):
premise of getting good results is not getting to where
you want to go in a poll. It's seeing what's
really on the minds of people. And the important part
is to try to accurately predict because you can't always,
but to be within the realm of reason on what
the turnout will be based on past elections and turnout models,

(10:15):
and who voted how many, so you know, based on
previous elections, both in the mayor all in the governor's
race whatever, who actually voted. You don't know how they vote,
but you can look up very easily if Joe Blow
actually voted that day, Yes, you get a list of
people who voted and when they didn't vote. If you
looked at if you ran my list, if you ran
my voter history, you will see that I literally have

(10:38):
voted in every single election since I started voting when
I registered at eighteen. So I'm what they call prime voter. Okay,
I'm definitely coming out to vote no matter what. And
then you'll see everybody, you know, you'll add up in
the election how many Democrats actually voted, not who they
voted for, but how many voted. And you know, with
you know regularity, that is ninety percent going to vote

(10:58):
for their party whatever. So you have to come up
with a sample of what you expect to turn out
to be. And if you skew that sample, you're gonna
get skewed results. So this Quinnipiac pole, the big headline
was Andrew Cuomo surges in new q poll. All right,
there's something right about that? And is something wrong about that?

(11:20):
Let me explain, ma'am. Dowmi had forty six percent in
their last poll. In this previous poll, he had forty
five last time Quinnipiac did it in September tenth, so
he actually went up a point. Cuomo was at twenty three.
He went up to thirty three, so a plus ten.
That's good. He got Adams's voters, but that's a so

(11:42):
he really picked up nine on ma'm domi and then
Curtis was fifteen last time, fifteen this time he didn't move.
That's that's a problem for Curtis. But here's the problem.
Democrats are fifty six percent of the enrolled voters in
New York City, fifty six percent. This turnout model had

(12:03):
fifty one percent of registered Democrats coming out. Republicans are
twenty three percent of enrolled voters. This one had thirteen percent,
and independent voters are twenty one percent of the total
New York City enrollment. This one had twenty nine percent
of them coming out. What does that mean? When you
undersample Democrats who are in big numbers in favor of Mamdami,

(12:28):
then his number is artificially low. So if they actually
put that into what the turnout should be, Mamdami's getting
more than forty five forty six percent. Really, he's probably
up forty eight forty nine maybe. And if you undersample Republicans,
what are you doing? You're taking away numbers for courtessly
what and you're also taking away some numbers for Cuomo

(12:51):
because he's actually reaching out and getting some Republican numbers.
So that's why this whole thing is skewed. But let
me just go through the numbers inside the numbers. So
I remember in two thousand and nine when I was
running for county executive and the last poll that came

(13:12):
out had me down seven to Andy Spano, who was
the incumbent. He had gazillion dollars he spent and he
was running for reelection. And I remember the last poll
that came out, I was losing by seven, and I'm like,
and I still remember Jim McLachlin, who was doing my polling,

(13:32):
who does the president's polling now, and John McLaughlin. He said,
you're gonna win this race. I said, what do you mean?
He goes, because I'm looking at the incumbents' enthusiasm and
it's like twenty something percent are enthusiastic about voting for
their candidate, meaning they might just stay home on election day.

(13:54):
There's nothing that's really exciting about their candidate anymore, and
they may not come out and little these So he said,
you're gonna win because your voters are really excited about
coming out to vote for you, and we won by
fifteen points. So think about that. In a two and
a half to one Democratic county. We had very enthusiastic voters.

(14:16):
The opponent did not, and we were down seven and
we won by fifteen. That's twenty two point swing. If
you look at the enthusiasm right now in this poll,
and I believe it to be true. I do believe
this to be true. Ninety percent of Mamdami's voters are
enthusiastic to vote for him. They are gonna run out

(14:37):
from whatever coffee shop, they're in, whatever pilates class, they're taking,
whatever protests they're getting ready to do. They're gonna run
out and they're gonna vote for this guy no matter what. Now,
Curtis has a high percentage. Eighty five percent of Curtis
Sleeva's voters are enthusiastic about him too. Here's the problem
for Cuomo. Sixty nine percent are enthusiastic to vote for him.

(15:03):
That is not a good number. That's just too low, meaning, eh,
all right, I don't think he's gonna win. I'll just
stay home. And for the voters who are still making
up their mind or not their minds, are made up.
That's the thing. We've got what three weeks to go
or whatever their minds are made up. Ma'mdami's voters eighty

(15:25):
seven percent said there's no way they're not voting for
this guy, and they're enthusiastic to do it. Sliwa eighty
one percent, Cuomo seventy three percent. So they're Cuomo again.
When you've been in politics and in charge for like
one hundred years, that's what happens when the new guy
comes along. And here's the biggest issue I have with

(15:46):
Cuomo's campaign right now. Mamdami is a dangerous dude. And
yet his favorables are forty three percent, his unfavorable thirty five.
He's a plus eight Cuomo thirty seven percent favorable. Fifty
two percent have an unfavorable view of Cuomo. That's a

(16:09):
minus fifteen. You had those up plus eight, minus fifteen.
That's a minus twenty three. He's got to make up
twenty three points in the favorabilities. And Cuomo is running
on this vote for me. I'll get it done. I've
got the experience. Nobody cares about that. And by the way,
they don't like the experience you gave them. As governor.

(16:30):
That's why they're not happy about voting for you, and
they're not going to at this point, Mam Domi. They'd
rather take a thirty three year old backbenching socialist assemblyman
and take a chance with this guy, then go back
to Cuomo. And I, for the life of me, I
don't understand why Cuomo and his team are not ripping

(16:51):
the face off Mam Domi every second. That's all you
can do right now is bring him down. You have
got to be negative almost one hundred percent on on
Mamdami to have a shot, because going positive with Andrew
Cuomo ain't gonna work. But he but gay Bruce, Yeah,

(17:13):
we need to throw up sound effect that is so
beyond cheesy, so disgusting, and but you know, you know
all the little little little socialists in Brooklyn are just
swooning over that. Oh oh, here's another thing. This is
to show you how far out they are so in

(17:35):
the Israel Hamas staff. Democrats, by by and large, now
in big numbers in New York City are siding with Palestinians.
And we put that in the air quote I e. Hamas.
They can't stand Israel, and even a large percentage of
Mamdami's voters, including a percentage of a normal percentage unfortunately

(17:57):
above average percentage, want Natanya who arrested if he comes
to New York. That's what we're dealing with. I mean, Cuomo, though,
is getting thirty seven percent of the Republican vote right now.
He's obviously taken away from Curtis. So Cuomo has to
make gains with Republicans. They've got to come out. That's
really their only hope. Ironic, because Cuomo said to if

(18:20):
you remember years ago, in fourteen or thirteen, he said to,
you know, if you're a Republican conservative in New York,
there's no place for you in the state. Now he's
groveling for those, groveling for those votes, and he needs them.
So he is banking on Republicans holding their nose and

(18:41):
having to vote for him other than mam Domi. Do
they hate Mamdami more than Cuomo, That's really what it
comes down to. And will they not go with their
own party otherwise she's got no shot. The other thing, so, candidates,
who's your second pick? Basically, Cuomo is the second pick
of twenty five percent. Mam Domi is the second pickup

(19:03):
for the other two for ten percent, and Sleeve was
seventeen percent. So Cuomo's not running away with that either.
It's it's gonna be really, really hard, and I tell
you so here's my I'm telling Andrew Cuomo right now,
come on this show. You want Republicans, then you come
on this radio show right not now, next week. I'm

(19:28):
the guy that ran against you. I had a lot
of negative things to say about you. I still do
still disagree with all of your I won't say all
of your policies, but a lot of them I did. Clearly,
I do agree with some of the things you're running on.
But if you want to reach Republicans, then I've had
Curtis Leewan, I've had Mayor Adams on when he was running.

(19:52):
Ma'm DOMMI will never come on it, but he's got
an open invitation. He'll never come on this show. But
if if Andrew Cuomo were smart, next Saturday, he will
be on this radio show and we will have a
very lively discussion and honest one. But that's the only
way that he is going to earn your vote or
get you, as a Republican to hold your nose and

(20:14):
to vote for Cuomo. Instead of the Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa. So, Governor,
you got a shot if you want to come here.
You could either sit down next to me in this
studio or you can call up my phone. Either way,
I'm giving you an opportunity. I would advise you to

(20:35):
take it, because if you want Republicans, this is your shot.
I think there'd be a lot of interest with the
press too. Two guys that kind of hated each other
in politics willing to sit down and talk it through,
potentially for the betterment of this city. So we'll see
if he takes somebody up on it. I don't know,

(20:57):
all right. One hundred and three two one zero seven ten.
One eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. I'll
ask you again now that we're a couple weeks out
and you saw those numbers that I was saying, Curtis,
should he stay in or should he go out? If
you're a Republican, would you vote for Cuomo or a

(21:18):
Cuomo hater? But would you hold your nose and vote
for him? I'm actually I'm interested to hear what you think,
or you're just gonna hold firm. I would be it
would be really tough for me. Honestly, it would really
be I'm not a New York City voter, but it
would be very, very tough for me to vote for Cuomo.

(21:40):
Not saying that I wouldn't in this one specific circumstance,
but I it would not be easy. But if I
knew in my heart that Curtis couldn't win, would I
vote for Cuomo? Boy, that would be a toughie and
I'd have to go to confession afterwards if I did.
There's no question about it, because that is like immortals

(22:01):
in but one in hundred three two one zero seven
and one eight hundred three two one zero seven ten,
plus a few on other things we got to get to.
But uh, I'd be interested to see what you think.
One one hundred three two one zero seven ten. The
rob Askerino rolling along here, And before we go to
the little break and rack up your calls, I gotta

(22:24):
tell you about deep material contracting. They are. So here's
the deal. It's getting colder, so it's probably the right
time to do some stuff before the winter sets in,
like changing your roof, getting it updated because it probably
looks crappy. And if you don't know what's underneath like

(22:45):
rotted wood, and that roof has been there for a
long time, you might want to do it now. So
they do commercial and residential roofing, roof replacement and repair.
Sometimes you don't need to be you know, have a
whole roof job. You can just fix some stuff up
and they'll they'll tell you the truth. That's the good part.
They'll come out and say, you know what, you can
probably get away with this roof for another five years,
but we need to fix that little part over there.

(23:07):
Save you a lot of money. They do signing, shingles, vinyl,
chimney repair, new windows, and a whole bunch more. So
go to Roofcontractors New York dot com roof Contractors New
York dot com for deep pterio contracting. Okay one one

(23:27):
hundred and three two one zero seven ten. Are you gonna
just close your nose and vote for Clomo if you
have to? Or say I could never forgive him, I'll
stick with Curtis, Or I'll just not vote. One one
hundred and three two one zero seven ten. The rob
Astorino Show continues in just a bit. That's the pool

(23:49):
that Clomo has to pull from. He has to take
away from Sliewa. He has to get other Republicans to
come out and vote as well as independents. Otherwise he
has no shot because it really does look like Democrats
don't like him either in this poll, and they're sticking
with their party. And if they do that, that's where
the numbers are, and man Dommie's gonna win despite being
its despicable human being. If you saw what you just

(24:11):
said about Israel yesterday, Hey, when was that, Bruce? Was
that from last week? When was that on the Larry Mente?
That was Larry Mente? Oh? That was so that was
me talking yesterday and I didn't even remember that. Hey,
Larry Menty. And in the morning of course, six am
to ten am Monday through Friday, and I go on

(24:32):
with Larry every Friday at seven o eight in the morning.
So give it a listen, Okay, Toyota City, if you
want a Toyota there's one place to go. I don't
care where you are listening. You might be listening online
right now in Racine, Wisconsin. It would be worth a
flight into Westchester County Airport, which is not far from

(24:58):
Toyota City and aarronic, that's how good they are. So
go see the folks at Toyota City for their transparent pricing,
no hidden fees, none of the bs. You get respect
and become a proud member of the Integrity Automotive Group
like I am. Be part of their family. So go
to Toyota CITYENY dot com, Toyota cityeny dot com for

(25:24):
a new a pre owned and is there any other
types of uh? I guess that's it. Yeah, newer pre
owned Toyota Great, least do that one up. I don't
deserve that. I did a clean read there. I think
one eight, one hundred and three two, one zero seven ten.
Before I take your calls these people. When I say

(25:48):
these people, I'm talking right now about the business community
in New York. Did you see the suck ups the business?
This is These supposed to be the titans of New York,
who I have found through the years to be the
most naive, ignorant when it comes to politics. They write
big checks, but they always write it to the wrong

(26:09):
people for the wrong reasons. You know, they poured gazillion,
they put twenty five million into Cuomo for the primary,
and then he lost, and then then they didn't know
what to do, so they poured millions into Eric Adams,
and he withdrew, and now they're back on Cuomo when
there's so little time left and running a campaign of

(26:32):
experience counts. And then I don't know if you saw
this video of the Satmar community, the Jewish community of
Satmars in Brooklyn. They're the ones with the square kind
of fur hats, all black. So they had Mam Dami,
who hates Jews. They have Mam Dami sitting there. I

(26:53):
mean he hates Israel clearly, he has said some very
anti Semitic things and he's sitting there and they are
sucking up to him. Miss the Mayo. Oh he can't
wait till you met this is I would love to
be the see that thought bubble from Mamdami as he's
sitting there with a table full of Satmar Jewish folks

(27:14):
who are sucking up to him, thinking that he's not
gonna come after them. Oh yeah he is. That's what's
wrong with this place. That's what's wrong. They all love
to pet the crocodile, thinking that they're not gonna have
their fingers bitten off. Make sure you follow me on
social media, okay, and make sure you listen to me

(27:37):
on the podcast or anywhere you can get the iHeart app.
Of course, listen to anywhere you are, or on seven
to ten wor dot com or right here on the radio.
All right, let me get your thoughts here. One hundred
and three two one zero seven ten. Let's start with Robert.
Where you're from. Robert, Hey, Rob.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
It's a pleasure that on Long Island. I've seen you
around in the Tribe state and it's always a pleasure
to meet you. I just wanted to take you back
in time to the Santo special election. We had two people.
We had two people running. We had Tom Swazi kind
of milk toast, you know, kind of vanilla. Then we
had Mazie Philip Pelop, who is just a brilliant immigrant

(28:23):
mother Israeli fighter, leadal immigrant here. And I just remember
watching people say, well, I can't vote for her even
though she's Jewish because he's a Republican. And I feel like,
and you went over the you went over my idea
with the Satmar community, and that is you know, it's

(28:44):
when Donald Trump would talk about bringing the snake in
the house and then the snake bites bites them. We're
going to know how this ends before it starts. And
unless people are willing to cross lines and get out
of the social edict quote unquote is there. I just
don't see how this ends well for people in the city.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
It will not end will Robert thank you for the call,
and yeah, you hit the nail on the head. Is
there are certainly in this polling too, there are not
enough people yet crossing over understanding the huge red flag
in front of them in Mamdami. They're just too many
Democrats who are sticking with somebody who is really well.

(29:29):
I was gonna say against everything, but you know what,
there's too many Democrats now in New York and in
New York City and in our major cities that are
are with him. Too many Democrats identified now as anti Israel,
as socialists overcome of capitalism, and of course they are

(29:49):
completely obscured in their white hot hate to Donald Trump.
And that's what Ma'm dommi. And he's smart. Look, I'm
not saying he's not. He's smart, thirty three year old.
He's pretty smart in politics. He has the easiest race
to run right now, since he has the Democratic Party
nomination and the Working Families Party, by the way, which

(30:10):
is very influential in New York City with the Unions.
All he has to do is ignore Cuomo, ignore Slava,
which he's doing anyway, and just throw bombs metaphorically at
Donald Trump. That's it, and it's in even in the poll.
Who do you think is gonna stand up morning Donald Trump?

(30:30):
You man? Tommy So he's the He's it's so easy
to fool these fools. Just scream Donald Trump bad and
they're gonna follow you. They'll walk right off the cliff
with you. Let's go to Is that Pam in Brooklyn High? Pam?

Speaker 4 (30:57):
I'm a lifelong Republican. I've never voted Democrats, but I
am going to vote for Andrew Cuomo this time. And
the reason being is that Andrew Cuomo believes in private
property ownership. He doesn't believe in legalizing prostitution. He doesn't
believe in taxing over taxing white neighborhoods. He doesn't believe
in letting out dangerous criminals from prison to rome the streets.

(31:21):
He doesn't believe in government run grocery stores. He doesn't
believe in misdemeanor is being dismissed as non crimes, among
many other things. And I really think people need to
stop and think long and hard about what Joron Mam
Donnie will do to this city, and they'll do it
to the very people who voted for them. They've got

(31:41):
to vote for Andrew Cuomo. I am so sorry that
Curtis Leeward just isn't cutting it, but he needs to
get out for the sake of the city and for
the safe safety and the just saving New York City.
He's got to And I could say men more things
that Mamdani will do to this city, but people need

(32:03):
to do their homework and find out what this meant
is really about and stop looking at his smile and
the way he walks around and makes everybody think that
he's going to do the best for the city. First
of I just want to say one thing about government
run grocery stores. People don't know what that means. It

(32:24):
means that the stores will not look like what your
stores currently look like. They will have one third of
the products, They will probably have expiration dates on these products.
Go to Venezuela, go to Cuba. See what these people
are going through there. Please please wake up. It's not
too late. Please wake up.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Pampton, Thank you, Pamya go to other US cities that
tried it. There's some other cities that have tried the
government run supermarkets, and obviously they have all failed. They've
closed because they've failed. And this in Basil wants to
do here. But remember he hate Trump. Yay one two

(33:04):
one zero seven ten seas. Now that so Pam is
a she's a I think she's a lifelong Republican, and
she is going to vote for Cuomo, who I'm sure
she would never have voted for in the past and
probably would never vote for it in the future. But
this is one of those snapshot in time where But

(33:26):
so that's why Cuomo has got to come on next
week because he he has to convince me. Let's start
with that. Okay, I'm I'm the lifelong Republican who would
never vote for him ever I ran against him, right,
I would never vote for him, But I represent so
many people in this city who are thinking the same

(33:46):
way I do. So you've got to convince me to
convince those listening that they should that they should vote
for you. Come on, Andrew, come on, let's go come here,
Come here next Saturday, two one zero seven ten.

Speaker 5 (34:08):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
Let's see Bruce helped me with a name on online
one there? Do we have a name there?

Speaker 6 (34:16):
All right?

Speaker 2 (34:16):
Well, you know, we just we'll just go to line
one and we'll say you introduced him. We're short staffed.
Bruce is doing literally everything except hosting the show, and
that's probably the next thing if I keep making mistakes.

Speaker 7 (34:25):
Oh okay, my name is Emma LUs from Benching host
and Brookway.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
All right, there you go, Emily, go ahead. What's up? Okay?

Speaker 8 (34:33):
I want to speak to.

Speaker 7 (34:36):
Rob yea radio selling him short.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
All right, you gotta turn your radio, turn your radio
old down. Turn your radio down because we're getting the delay.
That's radio caller one oh one. Okay, there you go
go ahead.

Speaker 7 (34:55):
Okay, I'd like to speak to Rob, who just came back.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Hold on a second, let me get Rob. Hold on
a minute, Hold on Rob, Yes, Hold on Rob, You
got a call? Who is it? She's from Brooklyn. She
wants to talk to you?

Speaker 6 (35:10):
All right?

Speaker 2 (35:10):
Hold on? Yes, go ahead? How can I help you?

Speaker 5 (35:13):
Hi?

Speaker 7 (35:13):
Is this Rob?

Speaker 2 (35:16):
Hello? Hold on one second, let me get him. Hold
on a minute, and then show Rob. Hold on, Rob,
can you come here on the phone. Hold on a second, Yeah, Hello.

Speaker 9 (35:28):
Yes, Hi?

Speaker 7 (35:28):
Is this the rob Astrno?

Speaker 2 (35:29):
Show it is it is. Yes, how are you hi.

Speaker 7 (35:33):
I'm Emily from Brooklyn and I'm calling in the sense
of Curtis. I just came from one of his rallies
in bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The passion on the support that
that man has, and your previous caller who was so
busy saying that people have to vote for Formo, well,
Cromos all those things, and it's for all those things

(35:55):
that you described, with the exception that Curtis does not
have the correct do Crimo had. And as far as
her statement that he doesn't support criminals, well how about
all of the cop killings that were let.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
Go on his watch?

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (36:09):
Okay, so I did coursing over and I wish people
would stop saying that. Well, the Curtis is great, but
unfortunately he can't win. Yes, he can. For every person
who says that, and if they would just go out
and pass their vote for him, Rob.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
He would let me ask you, really, really quickly, Amory.
Was Curtis wearing his beret.

Speaker 7 (36:29):
He was, indeed, and so all of his people and
I got a T shirt and I screamed out my
car window, we love you, Curtis. The passion was strong,
the exuberant, was strong and for every person that says
what Republican should course over and both of the genacrits.

Speaker 4 (36:45):
Let me rob you got me.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
That's a valid thing. Thanks for the call. I appreciate it. Curtis.
Take off your friggin beret. How many times all I
got to tell you this? We know you are, we
know well, we know you are a guardian angel. Take
off the beret and act like a mayor. Please. I
beg you, I beg you, I beg you. And in

(37:09):
that debate coming up on Friday night, if you wear
that beret, I might just run in there and rip
it off your head. Look like a mayor, act like
a mayor. You need to be the mayor, but you
have to play the role. Let's who's a line six.
Let's go to line six. You're in? Is that New Jersey? No?

Speaker 6 (37:35):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Okay, Jim? How are you?

Speaker 5 (37:39):
Jim?

Speaker 4 (37:40):
Me?

Speaker 2 (37:40):
Yeah, that's you.

Speaker 6 (37:41):
Jim.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
Are you in Jersey? No? I'm in the Queen's Okay,
go ahead, Jim, okay.

Speaker 6 (37:48):
I just want to say, well, actually, I've got several
things I want to say. I'll do one. I'm old
and years ago, when television was young, there was a
commercial for some remedy I think it was Annison or
something like that, and it said that brand X is
just one ingredient and our brand is a combination of

(38:08):
of ingredients. And that stuck with me because success is
always a combination of ingredients, and running for office is
just an incredibly complex.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Thing to do.

Speaker 6 (38:19):
And you know, okay, and in order to succeed one
has to do a whole long list of things very well.
You can't do most of them or chef of them
or anything like that. And Curtis is a great man.
I believe he's brilliant. I've seen him speak, but I'm
afraid he's just come up short as far as you know,

(38:41):
the things that he has to do the campaign.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Well, well, I appreciate your call. Yeah, no, thank you
for the call. And look, the issue that Curtis has
is he hasn't moved in The numbers have not moved,
and so the narrative has not moved. And when the
narrative doesn't move, especially this late, it makes it very differenticult. Now,
Fortunately Curtis has some money. He's raised money and then
with the matching funds he has money to spend. But

(39:07):
it's getting late it's getting late. People already have absentee
ballots in their hands in some cases and may have
already sent them back in early. Voting is going to
start in two weeks, whatever it is. So every day
that goes by that something huge does not happen to
shake this race up. Is a day that Ma'am Domi wins.

(39:31):
Let's go to Jerry. She's in the car, Jerry, where
are you calling from? Where are you in the car
Long Island?

Speaker 10 (39:37):
I'm traveling from Manhassan to say. I wanted to say
a couple of things. One of the reasons why the
bat bars or voting for mondamis because they're waiting for
the Messiah. They don't believe that the Messiah has come.
Therefore they're really not pro Isra. Unfortunately, next thing with

(39:59):
Mandam has wife is also horrible.

Speaker 9 (40:02):
She's horrible, horrible. As far as Curtis's, Curtis is great,
but he and Eric Adams should support Guamo, who basically
killed my mother and brother during COVID because they both
had aids were working in the nursing homes. Through everybody,
the whole point is that we have to stick together

(40:23):
and find a candidate. He is horrible promo, but he's on.

Speaker 4 (40:27):
A dumb gun.

Speaker 10 (40:29):
And Mononi is just horrible. He is so anti America.
And I'll tell you who got him there. It's really
because of Bernie Afcernie was looked over and that's how
Biden got in. That's what happened. So Bernie is alive

(40:51):
and well, another self hating.

Speaker 9 (40:53):
Jew and I am Jewish. Another so hating America. And
he is a Communist from day one.

Speaker 10 (41:01):
And I wish I keep calling up part away Chuck Schumer,
and I say.

Speaker 9 (41:12):
Another another horrible.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
Yeah, well we got too many of them. Thanks, thank
you for the call. And see, her mother was killed
in the nursing home, died in the nursing home because
of Andrew Cuomo's order, right, his executive order, which by
the way, he dances around all the time. But it's

(41:35):
like impossible to get over that, especially if you blame Cuomo,
which she did, and yet she is still willing to
vote for him. That's see, that's Cuomo's challenge. He has
got to get over the hump with enough of them.
The question is, even if he does, are there enough
I don't know because there's so many Democrats, too many

(41:56):
Democrats eight to one Democrat to Republican, and a lot
of the independents probably lean left anyway, so it's even
bigger than that. But does he have enough time? He
ain't the new kid on the block. They know him,
they like him, they don't like him, actually, Cuomo, and
I don't know if he can get over the hump.

(42:17):
But again, my invitation stands for Andrew Cuomo next week,
right in that chair or on this phone to talk
to me. And when you talk to me, you're talking
to our listeners who you have to appeal to and
get to goo for you. Otherwise you have zero shot.
And you know it. Hi, Sandra, how are you?

Speaker 6 (42:41):
You know?

Speaker 8 (42:41):
I'm sitting here thinking, Wow, if I can get Cromo's
phone number, his cell phone number, I can get him
on the show.

Speaker 4 (42:47):
I really don't know why I think of it.

Speaker 8 (42:49):
I think I could. But anyway, I'm listening to all
your callos today, Tim and Emily and everyone, and we're
also torn in this decision. I was having lunch today
and people sitting near Bible listening to our conversations, and
these are people that are gonna vote for Clomo. And
then I listened to the radio during the week, I
hear hosts saying that you know they love Curtis, and

(43:12):
and and and and if he doesn't step down because
he's not gonna win anyway, this is what they say.
He's gonna end up hurting even more because he's gonna
have that the guilt that he caused man Domina to win.

Speaker 4 (43:26):
See.

Speaker 8 (43:26):
I hear all these things, and I never know which
way to to think. But I do know that my
mother was in the hospital when she had COVID at
the end, and because of his government ruling, I was
not allowed to go in the room to hold my
mother's hand, but she died lonely and frightened. So because
I know that in Florida, uh DeSantis doesn't have that rule,

(43:50):
you can be with your COVID patient no matter what.
So he could have done things better. But he's sorry,
I think, And I listened to him on sid Rosenberg.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
I don't know if he's so sorry. I don't know
if he's sorry. Soundra well, No, I thank you for
the culture. I don't think he's sorry. I think he's
he's needing to say what he needs to say right
now in the next three weeks. He's he if you
if you listen to him and trying to come up
with the answer for the nursing home stuff. I mean,

(44:22):
it's still a lot of blame on everybody else. But well, look, uh, Cuomo, Cuomo,
probably ninety five out of one hundred things I disagree with.
I don't know if I would vote for him again,
I would likely stick with Curtis. But and the butt

(44:43):
is at the very I'm as I'm walking to the polls, going, oh,
my god, I guess I could switch and then just
run to the nearest Catholic church and look for a
priest to confess.

Speaker 5 (44:57):
But but he but he has a rolls for you,
ma'am Dommy, he does so tonight I have my It's
like a gulp, gulp, fortieth high school reunion tonight.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
And last night a whole bunch of us got together.
My good friend of mine, Tim, who we grew up
down the block from each other. He after he went
to Villanova, he moved out to Chicago, and so he's
been there ever since. And I've visited him plenty of
times in Chicago. But he, you know, he flew home.
I say home. He flew home yesterday, stayed with us,

(45:32):
staying with us, tonight. But he and I and a
whole bunch of others met at a restaurant last night.
It was probably twenty five, and you can imagine. We
had a lot of laps food and a lot of drinks.
And I woke up in the middle of the night
with a throbbing headache. And then so I was down

(45:54):
in the kitchen this morning and then he comes up
and he looks like hell, And I said, did you
have a headache lass night? He goes, Oh my god,
he goes, You know, it's not nineteen eighty five anymore.
It's not even nineteen ninety five. Oh, it's just we
get older and we it's just different. But I'm looking

(46:16):
forward to tonight. Westlake High School and Thornwood class of
eighty five, and we only had like one hundred and
I think like one hundred and forty people in our class,
our graduating class, so we all kind of knew each other.
And we're all different classes together, and you know, you
have your core group of friends, and then you know
people you may not even really hung out with. But

(46:36):
it's nice to talk to so many others that I
haven't seen in a long time. So I'm looking forward
to seeing some old friends tonight, having fun and hopefully,
hopefully not having a throbbing headache again tomorrow. So one
last thing. Diane Keaton died, as you heard that, she
was a really good actress. Died at seventy nine years old.

(47:00):
I love that line. It's such a famous line in
The Godfather when when you know, when she she says
to her husband, Michael, did you kill him? Did you?
And you know, just once, I'll answer this, just once.
I'll let you ask me it is And then he
lies to her, no, I didn't do it. But the

(47:23):
greatest movie of all the time, The Godfather. Every time
it's on, like if I'm just scanning through the channels
and I come across it, and it's on all the
time wherever it is. I watched it till the end
from there and I always learned something new. So thank
you to Diane Keaton for her great work as an actress,
Annie Hall, so many other movies. Next Saturday, four o'clock

(47:47):
right here, seven to ten, WR we will see if
Andrew Cuomo will join me, if he takes the challenge,
or if he woosies out, And you can exchange the
W to a P. If you want. Come on, Andrew,
let's go sit down, Let's have a conversation. One in
one hundred three two one zero seven ten mark it
down for next week. Okay, have a great weekend. Everybody

(48:07):
enjoy jets Tomorrow nine thirty they sting. This is like
