Speaker 1 (00:00):
This hour of programming on seven to ten double R.
He's sponsored by Toyota City and Mamaranac and Nissan City
of port Chester, proud members of the Integrity Automotive Group
now former Westchester County executive brob Astarto on seven ten.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Yeah, you tell them merle and they're all over the
place and they're No Kings March in New York City
and Times Square, they were downtown, They're all over the place,
all over the US. They're just you know, this is
their big day to go out and scream and yell

(00:43):
like they've been doing literally for the last ten years.
They scream and yell. They scream and yell. Meanwhile, this
whole No Kings thing, it's just it's I call it
the misfits off their meds March because that's really what
it is when you look around. But when they're all

(01:07):
there screaming all different things, and what the hell are
they actually screaming for other than we hate Trump? I mean,
this is Trump derangement syndrome personified. But you know it
was there. The Communist part of USA is sponsoring this
Democratic Socialists of America New York City Labor for Palestine,

(01:28):
which means we love hamas we hate Jews. That's what
that's for. And a lot of this money is coming
from the George Soros Open Society Foundation, who distributes money
to these nonprofit organizations, who then distributed further to people
to go out and do their professional protests. As the

(01:52):
anchor on MSNBC takes off her glasses to look serious,
so she introduces the correspondent who who's making it look
like this is a legitimate protest in Los Angeles. He's
the same people who are attacking Ice and trying to
subvert the government. But okay, we'll pretend it's real. All right, Hey,

(02:14):
we got a lot going on today. Yes, I want
to talk to you about the debate. Yes, I want
to talk to you about Jack Chittarelli's race. And Jack
is going to join us in about twenty minutes to
talk about what's happening in New Jersey. He has a
legitimate shot of winning. He is right there now in
the polling and I have a real feel for this race.

(02:35):
I think the momentum is there with him. She's on
the run. You could see the numbers changing. So a
lot to talk about in the next hour. So one
in one hundred and three two one zero seven ten.
I will get to your calls. I may not get
to it in a little while. So if you want
to hold on, that's fine. But let me talk to
you about this may or all race that happened the

(02:57):
other night. So, first of all, okay, WNBC could not
have done a worse job. These moderators are anything but.
And it's so clear in what they ask and how
they ask it. They were so dismissive of Curtis Leiwa.
Unfortunately he was in the middle there, so he was

(03:19):
like the yellow sign, the caution sign there, and they
constantly cut him off or ignored him. And it was
really about Trump, about Trump. The whole damn At least
the first twenty minutes was all about Donald Trump and
the questions that they would ask about Donald Trump. But
ma'am Dommie is obviously a fraud. Oh by the way,

(03:44):
happy birthday to Zorn. He's thirty four years old today,
thirty four years old, and he's gonna be most likely
the next mayor of New York City. So I think
a lot of things came to the surface, and they're
gonna get debate to debate one more time. Wednesday night
will be the next and final debate. I think it's

(04:05):
on New York One, but shame on Channel four for
not airing the entire two hours, So after one hour
they dropped it from TV and made you go to
their website to pick up the rest, which of course
I did. I watched the whole two hours, but I
don't know if you did, or a lot of people did.
They probably thought it was over with or that's that,

(04:25):
you know, you get off the couch and you go
do other things. But there was a lot that happened
in that second hour too that were really important. So
who won the debate?

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Right?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
That's the question? Who won the debate? I don't think
anyone won the debate, which means, unfortunately, Zorron Mondambi won
the debate because if he's not knocked out, if nobody
bloodied him up, if nobody threw him on the floor,
and all things are kind of equal, which I think
they were, then he basically won the debate because he

(04:59):
got out unscathed. I think if you just listen to answers,
Curtis Sleiewa, by and large was the best of the three.
He actually answered the questions. He actually had to plan
on education, on law enforcement. He knew what he was
talking about. Mamdami was just all bs. And Cuomo looks

(05:22):
like he doesn't want to be there. He looks like
a defeated candidate. I think he knows in his heart
that it's nearly impossible to catch him at this point.
And if if Curtis Sliwa is going to continue to campaign,
and he has every right to do so, where are
they going, ma'am Domi? As I said, you know, if

(05:43):
you've been listening to this show and listening to me
for months and months before the primary, I said, ma'm
DOMI was going to catch and beat Cuomo in the primary.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
And he did.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
And once he did that, I said, you know, prove
me wrong and we'll get our answer on you know,
in a few weeks. But once he has that conserve
the Democratic party line, there's no way he's gonna lose,
not in this city. He's got all these Democrats now
rallying behind him, all the unions now switched and they're

(06:15):
backing him with the Working Families Party. All these idiots
at these protests today, who do you think they're voting for?
And I'm sure ma'am Domi's smart enough. He's got his
people out there at all these protests in New York
and making sure these people are ready to vote. So
I think unfortunately Zoron Mandami won the debate. Now, can

(06:39):
I talk about some other things in this debate? Let
me just talk about wardrobe for a second. And you
might think it's superficial, but to me and to others,
I think it's somewhat important that I don't know, uh,
maybe just a tinge of patriotism. Please. Zoraon Mamdami looks
like a funeral director. Did you see him all in black?

(07:01):
And that's maybe because he knows once he's in there,
New York City's is going to be dead. He's gonna
kill New York City. Cuomo was in this like double
breasted suit with I think it was a purple tie,
and then Curtis with like, was that a very light

(07:21):
blue maybe sky blue? Aqua tinge or something? No beret,
no beret, And that was smart. I actually I texted
Curtis that morning, the morning of the debate, and my
advice to him and why do I you know who
am I to give advice? Well, because I've actually been

(07:41):
through this. You know, I debated Cuomo in fourteen. We
did it in Buffalo when I was running. I've been
in debates for governor, I primary debates, general election debates,
I've been in debates for county executive. So I get
what it's like to be in that room by yourself
before you're called out on stage to actually go, you know,

(08:02):
one on one or in this case, one on two.
So I know what it's like, kind of that feeling
like I just want to get out there. And for me,
I never wanted the first question because I wanted to
kind of relax a little bit as as my opponent
was answering the first question, and I could kind of
just settle in a little bit, listen and get ready
to go. But I thought, ma'am DOMI, you know, for

(08:26):
all his kookiness with regard to his dangerous ideas, he
presents well. And I think he did a decent job
on stage. I think he lied through his teeth. He
obviously is not going to attend, has no interest in
attending the Israel Day Parade. I'd love to see him
out there for the LGBTQ. Yeah, right, because he's a Muslim,

(08:48):
and if he's a true Muslim, which he claims he is.
He'll never go to the India Day Parade either, and
he makes no bones about being a Muslim. He said
it that night, so it is the exact opposite of
what a practicing Muslim believes him. I'm looking for this

(09:08):
text that I sent to Curtis because I'll just wanted
to read exactly here's what I said. I said, Curtis,
good luck tonight. The only advice I'll give you, because
you know the issues, is to project authority and confidence
so that you look like or voters can see you
as the mayor. Don't be the radio guy. And if

(09:28):
you wear the beret, I'm gonna come and beat the
crap out of you, lol, Rob and don't forget to smile.
And I thought Curtis did a decent job. You know,
it's a tough position when you're getting crowded out because
in the moderator's view, this is all about Cuomo and
Mam Domi. But you know, here's the problem that Cuomo faced,
and it's gonna it's gonna dog him and ain't going away.

(09:49):
And you see it in the polls. There's no enthusiasm
for Cuomo, even his voters aren't really enthusiastic. They do
blame him for a lot of things, and it was
so uncomfortable for him. I know it because I can
just imagine what he had to go through. But you know,
he made a supid error when he was answering, like,
you know, I'm the guy with experience, what's just say

(10:10):
we've got a you know, a major hurricane or you know,
a health issue like a pandemic.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
And I know the.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Minute he said that, he goes, uh oh, because Mandomie
was smart enough to say a pandemic and it reminded
everybody of what we went through with COVID and the
nursing home situation. And that was just a self inflicted error,
I think by Cuomo. And it's hard.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
You know.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
I've been asking some people too after they watched the debate,
like Okay, now what and you just get that big
exhale like oh god, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
I'd prefer Curtis because I think he's talking more towards me,
and but I hate that socialist guy and Cuomo I
can't stand. I mean, that's what you hear, and yet
you know Cuomo is reaching out he's doing Fox. He's
trying to get Republican votes because it is mathematically impossible

(11:08):
for him to win this race without getting and so
far in the polling, he's getting thirty something percent of
the Republicans in there in the polling, which is pretty good.
And Curtis is not getting what he needs. So he
is taking from Curtis, and he's got to take more
and more, but he knows that obstacle to his air.
As long as Curtis says in there's no way that

(11:29):
he's gonna he's gonna win this. And I think he's deflated.
I think Cuomo realizes it's gonna be just about impossible.
I mean, he needs he needs lightning in the bottle
and a couple other things. I thought Curtis was great
when he kept referring to them as the architect Cuomo
and the apprentice Bamdami. This whole thing was like who

(11:52):
can who can hate Trump more? At least for Mamdami,
that is his whole campaign really in a nutshell because
the amount of voters that hate Trump in New York
City is vast, right, so he just has to remind
them I'm the guy that hates Trump. The most it's me,
it's me, it's me, vote for me and they will.

(12:17):
I was thinking as I'm watching the debate, you know,
they had the in the bottom right that had the
sign language interpreter. Now, I don't know what the hell
she's doing. You don't know either, if you're not deaf.
How great would it be if she was just like
making stuff up the entire time, like if she was
four Cuomo or something. And as ma'm Dommi's talking, she's

(12:38):
signing like, Ma'm dommy just said, I hate everybody. I
hate you all, I hate you. Don't vote for me.
Nobody would know. Nobody would know except some like stunned
deaf people. There's a super pack out there called meetzoron
dot com, and I think this is where some of

(12:58):
this extra money on the side is going, you know,
from some of these people who like Bill Ackman and
others are putting money into try to defeat Mamdami. And
I thought these ads are the best because I've seen
the ads that I've seen is not doing what it's
supposed to be. Cuomo's running on experience, Eh, you got

(13:20):
you gotta take this guy down, and they're not, and
they're running out of time. This one meetzoron dot com
is really going after him the way it should. Bruce,
do you have one of these spots, let's play. I
just want to play this because this is the type
of ad that Cuomo and and Sleewas should be running
every minute. It's but it's like really good, ominous video.
That is what they need to pound home. That's the message.

(13:42):
You've got to make him unacceptable. And right now he
is acceptable to enough people that he will be elected.
You have got to make him totally unacceptable. And that's
all that we should be seeing on digital, on the radio,
and on TV period from now to the end. If
we see anything about Cuomo's experience, hey I'm great. Forget it.

(14:04):
It's wasted time. You want to play the other one.
That's the ad that should be playing to every woman
in New York City, those kind of ads. And if
you haven't seen those kind of ads, then these campaigns
are not doing their job. They're giving him a free pass.

(14:24):
At the end of the day, every day that you
don't see something like that, every day that they're screaming
about Donald Trump is a win for Mam Dommi with
very few days left, because people are already voting absentee
ballots right now. Early voting starts soon. So all right,
I gotta step aside because Jack Chitdarelli is going to

(14:47):
join us in just a little bit. We're gonna talk
about the Jersey Governor's race, which is this is a
fun one to watch too, and I watched their debate
earlier in the week. That was great. Jack won that.
There's one thing though, I totally disagree with on with Jack,
and I'm gonna play that for him and make him
defend it. So make sure you keep it right here.

(15:07):
But before I step aside, I gotta leave you with this.
Depoterio Contracting D Poterio Contracting, Roofcontractors, New York dot Com. Okay,
these are the guys that you call for any of
your roofing concerns, your solutions. You gotta get a new roof,

(15:28):
you gotta leak boom deep Paterio Contracting. You have new
siding that you need because the elder stuff is falling apart.
And by the way, it's not just vinyl siding. It
could be any type of siding. It could be brick,
it could be stone, whatever. And then of course windows
chimney repair, all these kind of things they do. So

(15:51):
make sure that you get in touch with Deep Pterio Contracting. Okay,
Roofcontractors New York dot com. Roofcontractors New York dot com.
They're the ones to call. In fact, just call them
or or go online. You get a free estimate. It's
still good weather, so have them. Let you know what's
gonna cost and what's gonna take. I would Deep Material Contracting.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
We will have Jack Chiarelli, who's running for New Jersey
governor in just a moment. I will take your calls later,
So if you want to hold on, feel free to
do so. One eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
One in hundred three two one zero seven ten The
rob Astarinos show right here on seven ten w R.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
Getting up Sunday morning making the gravy, and I want
to be transparent to him. It's gravy, not sauce. It's macaroni,
not fasta. But the meat balls, the pragels and the sausage.
You'll be in the pot and we'll have a Sunday
dinner together.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
I'm going over his house because that sounds good, you know, Jack,
that's uh That's what I remember growing up, and that's
why I still love the brajol you can't find in
a lot of places. That's why I love when you
said that, because I do see it. Sometimes I go
down to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx and if you win,
I'll bring it to the other side of the river
and you can come with me to Domini's on Arthur Avenue.

(17:10):
They got great brajiole. It's like a football, it's so big.
Jack Chiarelli is with us right now on seven to
ten wor Jack, how are you.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
I'm doing very well, Rob, and hey, listen, we're gonna win.
So I look forward to at dinner with you on
Arthur Avenue.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
I that is a deal, and I do disagree with you.
I do call it sauce. I know you call it gravy.
We can disagree on that, yep.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
Listen. I knew that was going to get a lot
of tension when I said. It's one reason why I
did say it. But I also want to be transparent
in our house. It's gravy and.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
It's never possible it's macaroni. Oh, I agree with you.
I hate that whole stupid pasta thing. I loved calling
it Macaroni. I said macarony once. My young daughter she's like,
what's that. I'm like, oh, come on, you a lot
to learn. So let's talk about the race. I love
where you are right now because you're in a still
a Democratic leaning state.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
You have.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
An incumbent that is horrible in Murphy, so it's great
to run against him as well. And eight years of
his governorship should be like a lot of fatigue because
he has screwed up that state so bad, and some
great issues have come up on Jackie on Cheryl. So
I think, Mikey Cheryl, I think where you are, certainly

(18:24):
in the polls just three or four down, that is
a perfect spot to be in for a challenger. And
I know there's no incumbent in the race, but as
the Republican a Democratic state, that's a pretty good place
to be, right.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
And as you know, Rob Republicans that traditionally have underpolled
in New Jersey just because we're out and numbered so
many Democrats. But I will tell you I only have
twenty one to compare it to. Back at twenty one,
I thought we were gonna win that race. We came
so very close there's something very different this time. The
energy across the state is electric. The reception in minority
communities is off the charts. And listen, when you're being

(18:59):
mbursed by dominant Democrats, it says people want change you.
I see.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
I love to hear that you're in quote minority areas.
You know, areas where Republicans traditionally don't go for whatever reason.
I think it's stupid and wrong, and you're showing why
you have to and can go there and come out
with votes, and I think that's really important. So what
what areas are you target? Is that the Camdens, the Newarks?
I mean, what areas are you trying to? Yeah, you're

(19:27):
not gonna win them, but you don't have to. You
just have to take a couple points away.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
You're exactly right, Rob. But first let me say this.
Over the years, I've always owned my own business, been
a full time business owner, but I have had the
privilege of servant in a town, a county, and a
legislative district terminally my subage time. But in all three
of those those regions, the town, the county, and the
legislim district. That I won it was in an area
where Democrats out in the republics every single time, sometimes significantly.

(19:52):
I've always prided myself on going anywhere and everywhere that
people will have me and not to be modest, and
more times than that has a very positive outcome because
I talk about what are problems are, and I talk
about our common sense conservati approach and how to solve problems.
And so last night we were in Elizabeth with a
big town hall and more than half the crowd was
a Hispanic American, Latino latinas and the reception was great.

(20:13):
They loved what I hear to say, what I was
there to say. I mean, We've been in Nork, We've
been in Patterson, We've been in Trenton, Atlantic City. We
go everywhere because that's my job. Yep.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
If you said LATINX, I was going to slap you
through the phone. I'm so glad. Please please, But you
know what I know, and I think they are so
sick of this nonsense, this problem that they're getting from
these these leftists like Mikey, Cheryl and all these who
do really talk down to them in so many ways,

(20:44):
and by you just speaking as an equal to whomever
and saying this is what I stand for Okay, it's
not I'm going to go to Newark and say, hey,
we need more welfare. That's that's what Democrats do. But
you're offering them an opportunity of something different. And we
concede in the polling with Trump and everything else. I mean, look,
Trump only lost Jersey by six points, so it is

(21:07):
there for the taking. And I'm so happy you're doing that.
The you know, a big issue that came out and
you know, whoever did it a good job on the
oppo research on this whole Naval academy issue for Mikey Cheryl.
So why don't you just recap or tell people what
the issue is here? She didn't walk at her Naval Academy,

(21:29):
but we still don't know why, right.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
We don't, rob But here's the deal. She's built her
entire political brand on her Naval Academy attendant and then
her role in the military. And listen, I salute her
military service as I do my Army captain's son. But
while at the Naval Academy she was punished and severely.
She wasn't allowed to walk in graduation. Her name is
not listed in the commencement exercise program and when asked

(21:53):
why she's changed her story now three times. All she
has to do is approve the release of her disciplinary
records to come clean on why it is that she
was punished, And so we just think it's one of
two things. Quite frankly, she either did cheat herself or
she lied to investigators, but she was punished. The other
thing that we know she broke federal law as a
congress person. She had to pay fines for stock trade

(22:15):
and stock reporting violations. We also know during her six
plus years in the Congress she tripled her net worth.
The New York Times reports she's trading defense stocks while
sitting on the House Armed Services Committee, and she's lied
about me throughout this entire campaign. It speaks the character.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Hey, I was listening to the radio or watching TV
or something. One of the ads came on for her,
and she's going on about you. He's gonna raise taxes,
and I started laughing. Then I got angry, and I'm like,
you know, who the hell is gonna believe this crap?
But look, you know she's on the run, and that's
great for you because she's on defense. You don't want

(22:50):
to be playing defense and defending in the last couple
of weeks. I texted you the other day, I really
feel that this is different, as you said. I just
this has a feel of something that's going to break
at the end for you. Because people they've lived through
Murphy for eight years. They're listening to her going, oh
my God, like this is this is who's going to
replace her? And I think you've touched on issues like

(23:13):
energy and even over development, which you know, I haven't
really heard gubernatorial candidates talk about that, but you do
hear people in Sutton and the suburbs talk about how
everything is getting built up so much. I think that's
a great issue for you.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Oh, it's a big issue. Listen. There's four major issues.
Affordability because of taxes, electricity, housing, insurances, and childcare for
families with young kids. Then there's a public safety crisis
because we handcuffed our police. There's a public education crisis
because we've watered down the public school curriculum. And there's
an over development crisis in our suburban communities. And these

(23:50):
are the four issues that have people pissed, and they're
all the result of film Murphy failures, on which my
opponent agrees. She's even doubling down on wind farms off
the Jersey shore. Oh.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
I know, that's another one. That's a visceral reaction for
people along the shore. Really, anybody you know, no matter
who in Jersey when you go in the summertime, if
you don't live near it, but you head towards the shores,
you know, to the beaches, and you see these monstrosities.
I know a lot of people, including many Democrats, who
are like really pissed at that, Like how ugly is this?

(24:20):
And it's just such a waste. But these are the things.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
About what she's What she's given me an opportunity to do, too,
is to point out the hypocrisy of Democratic Party. They
want everybody to believe their pro environment. How are you
pro environment when you exacerbate sprawl and you pave over
our suburban communities with all this high identity housing that's
mandated by the state. That's not pro environment. There's nothing
sustainable about that. They're over developing our suburban communities where

(24:46):
there's no mass transit, no infrastructure, no jobs, and po
more idling cars on the road. How is that throw environment?
And if you see the same thing in education, they
want people to believe that they're for the minorities, the
marginalized disadvantage. Who needs school choice? Minorit that live in
urban communities where there is a failing school system, and
yet they won't give them school They won't give them vouchers.

(25:06):
My appointment will not give them charter schools. Why because
they're owned by the teachers' union. So if you're for minorities,
how is it you won't improve the educational system. It's
the biggest hypocrisy that is. Yep.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Jack Chedarelli with us on seven to ten w R
the Rob Astarno Show. So energy and energy costs gas
all that plays, you know, directly into the pocketbooks of
everybody we're hearing. You know, in New York obviously it's
it's insane, the conent rates and everything. Same thing in Jersey.
What is your plan, because you know you've got nuclear power,

(25:39):
eliminate fossil fuels. They're doing Murphy's doing this whole you know,
preventing gas lines. What's your approach to energy?

Speaker 3 (25:47):
The first thing people have to know is that when
Phil Murphy took off as we were electricity exporter, now
we have to import it because of what he did.
Here's what I'm gonna do on day one by executive order,
I'm pulling out a Reggie. The Region greensse Gas Initiative
is a carbon tax policy that cost New Jersey anywhere
from three hundred to five million dollars three hundred to
five hundred million dollars a year. I could save that

(26:08):
for ray payers, homeowners, tenants, and business on day one
by pulling out a Reggie. The Democratic governor of Pennsylvania
is not in Reggie. We shouldn't be either. I'm going
to reopen and repurpose the electricity generation plants that film
at me shut down. We're going to increase capacity at
the current existing and electricity generation plants powered by natural gas.
And there'll be no wind farms off our Jersey shore.

(26:30):
And I'll put a shovel on the ground for a
fourth nuclear reactor down in South Jersey. And by the
end of my first term, we will be energy independent again.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Yeah. That's smart and it's very doable, by the way,
and I'm glad some was talking about it. The what's
one thing that you really wanted to talk about during
the campaign but really haven't had a chance, because you know,
the four main issues that you're talking about get a
lot of time, which is great, or you're talking about,
you know, Mikey Sheryl's naval academies screw up. Is there

(27:00):
something that you'd love to talk about but haven't really
been able to.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
There's such a target rich environment this time around, Rob
that you got to be disciplined in what you do
talk about. But I wish there was more time to
talk about childcare expenses. I mean families with young children.
We're talking about pre those that are one, two, three,
four years old. They're getting crushed by the cost of childcare.
I want to create a voucher program that's needs based

(27:24):
based on where you are in the income ladder, give
you a voucher to help offset that cost. And the
other thing is insurances. We didn't really get a chance
in there his campaign to talk about insurances, which across
the board. I don't care what kind of insurance it is,
home insurance, property and COUGIY insurance, car insurance, health insurance
across the board is exploded, and I think a lot
of it has to do with what the Democrats have

(27:44):
done with the way insurances are regulated in the state.
So we're going to make more competition, bring more insurance
companies into New Jersey. More competition will help lower rates.
But we're also going to change some of the regulations.
I got to get insurance rates down.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
Can you do anything about the smell of the New
Jersey Turnpike.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
I'll do my best, man, But listen, you know know this.
We will not be a sanctuary city or sanctuary state
once I'm governor. We're getting rid of the Immigrant Trust
Directive on day one by executive order.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
And I think you said this, I don't remember where,
but that you're gonna make the airlines when they're landing
at Newark say welcome to New Jersey instead of New York.
That's actually, you know what, That's a smart thing to do.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Rob. It's such a pet peeve of mine. I said
to a United Airlines representative the other day. So when
planes land at JFK, does it say welcome to New Jersey? Okay?
When a plan leans in Nork, can we say it
welcome to New Jersey. I'm so tired of playing JV ball.
And the other thing you'll appreciate as a fellow Italian American,
because we just celebrated the voyagers his courageous trip across

(28:53):
the Atlantic. As long as I'm governor, there'll be a
Christopher Columbus Day in New Jersey. I good.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
And all right. So, Jay, the Giants and the Jets
both considered New York teams. Obviously they play in Jersey.
So I'm sure that really pisses you off, and it should.
Uh do you like either one of Which one do
you like or neither one?

Speaker 3 (29:13):
I root more for the Giants than the Jets, but
you know, the one thing that New Jerseys will forgive
you for is NFL. We're all over the place, I
mean South Jersey obviously, Eagles up north. Split between Jets
and Packers. My dad was a very proud Italian American,
so we root for the Yankees because of Themagio Rizzuto
and Barra, and we rooted for the Packers because of
a fellow New Jersey and Vince Lombardi coached them there.

(29:35):
So my dad was very proud Italian American, was very
fond of Lombardi, who, by the way, is buried in
New Jersey.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Lombardi is I didn't even know that. Yep, yeah, yeah,
Fordham guy. Yes, yes, that's where I went. So here's
where I disagree with you and I want to I
want to get your explanation on this play at Bruce.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
One of our.

Speaker 4 (29:56):
Special special differences here in New Jersey. We don't have
to pump our own gas. Jersey girls don't like to
pump their own gas. We'll continue at full service.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Are you thinking that Jersey girls are a bunch of
whimps whososies. They can't they can't pump their own gas.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
Listen, if you want to lose an election, right self,
people that are gonna be self served. We have too
many dubious distinctions in this state. I won't go through
them all. One thing that makes us very special. We
don't have to pump our own gas. And guess what
the price of gas in New Jersey is less than
our neighboring states. Yeah, so we'll continue to experience this luxury.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
But Murphy did increase the gas tax though, right because
it was a it used to be very cheap compared
to New York. You'd have people in Rockland County or
even Westchester. Sometimes they would they would drive over the
tap and Z Bridge it ain't the freaking Cuomo bridge
and they would go into Bergen County whatever, fill up
and they come back. But I think it's kind of
it's kind of equal now in some respects only because

(30:56):
the taxes and Jersey went.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
Up well for years for eighteen years, it wasn't raised
while the cost of the infrastructure was going up. When
Chris Christy was in office, the thing he did is
very last year, he traded off the estate tax, which
we got rid of, for a twenty four cent increase
in the gas tax. I voted no on that bill.
And then what was also part of that bill is
that it would increase every January based on inflation. That's

(31:18):
something that Pennsylvania does. And because again we're collecting less
gas tax revenue because more people are driving evs, hybrids
and fuel efficiency standards go up on the traditional gas
powered engine. But the cost of the infrastructure is going up.
So while gas tax revenue is going down, the infrastruction
is going up. It's one of the problems I have
to solve as governor.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
I can't wait Jack to Coy the day after the
election and Coya Governor, and I can't wait to have
dinner with you on Arthur revenue. And I feel really good.
I do. I just there are years where you're like
it ain't gonna happen is for whatever, the political wins
aren't blowing the right way. Whatever, I think you're the
right candidate at the right time in a state that

(32:00):
that is had enough, and I wish you the best
of luck, my friend. Voting has already started, right well.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
The vote by mail is coming in as we speak.
Early voting will start this coming Saturday, and we'll roll
for nine eleven days rather no nine days, I'm sorry,
from that Saturday to the following Sunday. The polls will
close down the Monday before election day and of course Tuesday,
November fourth itself. But I agree with you, Rob again,

(32:27):
only have twenty one to compare it to. You know
how close we came. I thought we're going to win
that one. I know we're going to win this one.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Go get them, my friend. All right, man, thank you,
all right, Jack, Thank you. Jack Chitarelli, Republican gubernatorial candidate
against Mikey Cheryl, and she's on the run. There's no
question about it. The polling, the average of the last
five polls has Cheryl only winning by three to four points.
This is a state with many more Democrats. In fact,

(32:56):
thirty eight percent of the registered voters in New Jersey
are Democrat, twenty five percent are Republican. That leaves a
lot of independence. And Jack is winning right now among independents,
and I just think it's breaking the right way for
him at the right time. So I pray he wins
because Jersey has had enough, I hope so with the
Phil Murphy morons and the Jackie Cheryl morons. Jack I

(33:19):
keep calling Jackie Cheryl, Mikey Cheryl. So hopefully people get
out and vote. And I think he's going to do
better than expected in some of these deep blue areas,
especially in the inner city, getting.

Speaker 4 (33:32):
It up Sunday morning, making the gravy. And I want
to be transparent to him. It's gravy, not sauce. It's macaroni,
not pasta. But the meat balls, the brigels, and the sausage.
You'll be in the pot and we'll have a Sunday dinner.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
Together, Yes we will. Who wouldn't vote for a guy
like that? Please come on, all right? Seven ten wr
rob Astarino here, if by the way, you're going to
Newark Airport or any of our airports. But if you're
going to Newark or if you're coming in and you're
not going to take a ride share. You want to
call les point to point because your time is valuable.

(34:02):
You want to you want to know you're going to
get from here to there safely and it's going to
be a car that's going to be clean with a
professional driver. So call Leros point to point one eight
hundred eighty two Liros l e r O S one
eight hundred eighty two Ros or go to Laros TG
dot com Laros tg dot com. So if you're going

(34:26):
to the airport, you need a sedan night on the
town the day of your life, like a wedding. You
just want to go in style, maybe impress a date,
special event, whatever. Let Larros get you there safely and
get you home. Larros TG dot com one in one
hundred and three two one zero seven ten. I will
take your calls in just a moment, and some other

(34:50):
goodies on the agenda before we get out of here.
At five o'clock. Rob Astorino rolling right along here on
seven ten w R. Hey know who's listening to the
show or Mike George Santos because he can so I
just saw how he found out he did not know
he was getting a commutation from Trump, so it's not

(35:13):
a pardon. His record still remains, but the commutation means
he served his time. He's immediately sprung from prison and
he doesn't have to serve the entire seven years. He
only served three months, so it ain't a bad deal
for him. But George Santos is a free man and

(35:34):
he needs your socials. He need to come back on
the show. He does need my socials, right, Yeah, So
it would be at rob Astor Reno. He's big on
social media, George Santos. So it's if you're heading to
Facebook or x or Instagram or truth Social, get her
all those at rob Astor Reno. And if you want
to listen to the Jack Chitdarelli interview again and why

(35:57):
wouldn't you he was terrific, go to either rob Aster
you know, well, it's the it's the actual it's the podcast.
It's the rob Aster you know podcast part of the
iHeart app, or you could do seven to ten wor
dot com same thing podcast tab and then you just
go to our show and you listen to what we

(36:17):
just did, or any show in the past one hundred
and three two, one zero seven ten. If you're in
the mood or in the need for a new car.
I just saw this on the elevator coming up. You know,
they got those screens with all this information. For the
first time ever, the average price of a new car

(36:38):
in the United States just passed fifty thousand dollars fifty
g's for a new car. So if you go to
Toyota City, hand in your clunker, they've got great pricing,
huge inventory, and really do have good lease rates, in fact,

(36:59):
greatly rates, and very competitive financing offers and in interest
rates to come down a bit. So now it might
be a good time to start snipping around for a
new car. Head over to Toyota City in Mamaronik right
on Route one. There, go to Toyota cityeny dot com
Toyota CITYNY dot com for Toyota City. All right, before

(37:24):
I get to your calls at one one hundred and
three two one zero seven ten, a couple of things.
So if you saw what some of these goofball morons,
these young Republicans did, There was this chat room for
young Republicans around the country. Some of them were from
New York and they you know, they thought they were

(37:46):
in a private room, and of course nothing's private when
you're texting or in a chat room. You got to
be stupid. But they just were so hideous and obnoxious
and disgusting in the things that they were writing, racist stuff,
stuff about women. I'm just beyond the pale. And you know,

(38:06):
these aren't These aren't like teenagers, These aren't kids. These
are adults, and they should know better. And I'm glad
that they were condemned right away by Republicans all around
the country. Certainly the New York State Republican Party actually
voted the other day to take them off. They are
no longer an arm of the Republican Party in New York.

(38:30):
The Young Republicans has been disbanded, and that's a shame
because you know a lot of people had gone through
those ranks as a YR. But these imbeciles who participated
in this, and you know, unfortunately they have a black
mark on their own record. But they also put Republicans
through the ringer because all it takes for the mainstream

(38:50):
media is something like this, and they'll run with it forever.
The New York Court of Appeals made a very important
decision which is really bad news for Republicans, and that's
why they did it, so the governor because she's a hack.
And the legislature in New York they passed a law which,

(39:14):
by the way, is against the New York State Constitution,
against the charters of many counties, but they don't care.
They just run right over it. And they have the
far leftist judges, all of whom were appointed by Democratic governors,
only one of whom is a Republican, Michael Garcia. The
rest of them are just horrible, but they upheld, they

(39:38):
actually overturned a lower court decision. And now the local elections,
So your towns, your local county executive race, or your
county legislators, judicial races, these are now going to be
in even year elections. Now why is that significant, Because

(40:00):
like this year, for instance, it's an off year, right,
it's an odd year. It's an off year. So there's
no presidential race, there's no distractions of a governor's race
or a Senate race. It's I'm gonna talk to my
two candidates running in my town about my property taxes,
about my garbage pickup, about you know, the park that

(40:23):
I think should be built. Whatever. That's gonna be completely
crowded out because it's just gonna be a partisan turnout,
which is what they want. Many more Democrats than Republicans,
and nobody's even gonna pay attention. It's all gonna be
about whoever the Republican candidate is for president or Democrat whatever.
And these horribles in Albany now have changed that despite

(40:47):
the fact that charters like Westchester, for instance, specifically say
when they run and same thing with local law with
towns and villages, and they just threw that out because
they could another race in Yonkers. I want to get
Anthony muranteon. He's the only Republican left on the Yonkers
City Council and he's doing a fantastic job without him.

(41:10):
If he loses in a couple of weeks, the Democrats
will completely have anything and everything they want, totally in
the dark in Smokeville rooms. Nobody will ever know what's
going on in Yonkers, which is a corrupt city to
begin with, but at least Anthony Morante can keep them
somewhat honest. All right, let me sneak in a couple
of calls here one eight hundred and three, two one

(41:31):
zero seven ten. Let's go with uh, well, starting Jersey,
since we just had Chidarelli on Jim and Nutley. How
are you Jim?

Speaker 5 (41:38):
Huh, Rob recording Curtis's moray, I think you gave him
bad advice. I think you would have more confidence and
it would have did a better job with the beret.
I was disappointed also my wife and he looks he
looks a lot older, went out that beret.

Speaker 2 (41:53):
Well, thanks for the call, Jim. I mean, if he
has to wear a beret like Linus needs a blanket,
then he ain't gonna be a mayor. So I mean,
I think he did fine. I thought he had a
decent night. He answered the questions. He was frustrated because
they were they were completely dismissing him. They weren't really
giving him the respect. And I'm talking about the moderators,

(42:14):
air quotes, moderators Stephen, New Jersey, how are.

Speaker 6 (42:19):
You, hey, Rob? In a good interview with Jack. Look,
this call is about Curtis, but he could learn a
thing or two from Jack. She had Jack's always on message,
he stays on offense. Hint, hint, Curtis ready, all right, Yeah,
we do, Rob, We do have a lot of New
Yorkers voting Democrat here in New Jersey, and that's how

(42:44):
that's the up till battle we face. And that's why
a guy from New Jersey here is so interested in
that New York mayoral race. I don't want to see
New York flight to New York fight while I'm fifty
years ago in the seventies. Next point, all right, you
know the other night. Okay, Look, if if you face
Curtis is faced with the same thing, go on offense.
Like I'm saying, take control of the debate. Ignore the moderators.

(43:07):
That's not why people are there. They want to hear him.
He directs his attacks at Mandami, all right, kind of
ignores Cuomo a bit, all right. And by the way,
this comparison the architect versus the apprentice. Think about it.
People think architects, people think highly of them, and an
apprentice still say, well, he's learning. How about Culomo is

(43:28):
the destroyer and Mondamie is the arsonist. How about that
Clomo's destroyed New York and Mondami's gonna burn what's less
of it? So Curtis, go on some offense, man, get
your talking points down, and don't worry about these debate moderators.

Speaker 2 (43:42):
Just go for it, all right, Steve, thank you for
the call oh, I know why I was calling Mikey Cheryl.
I know why I was calling her Jackie Cheryl. It
was actually two things. One Jack Shitarelli, right, so I
was saying Jack and Mikey Cheryl was getting the mixed
up a little bit. But the other thing, Jackie Cheryl
was amus football coach in college football at Texas A

(44:04):
and M. That I know he was at A and M.
I think he was at Mississippi or Mississippi State and
maybe a few other schools. So that was the stupid
mental block I had. Sondra in New Jersey. Hi, Sondra, Hi, Rob.

Speaker 7 (44:19):
It was a great conversation today with Jack.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
Thank you.

Speaker 7 (44:22):
I wanted to add two things You're very welcome about Jack.
You know Nick Sako is the mayor of North Bergen
in New Jersey, and he's loved by the residents and
he's responsible for all the seven thousand people. Do you
know this democratic mayor endorsed Jack Chadarelly. To me, that's major.

Speaker 6 (44:42):
I think.

Speaker 7 (44:42):
I think that's a very very big endorsement and it's telling.
So if he endorses him, the people hopefully will follow
along with him. And then I wanted to say one
other thing I was at my I was walking towards
my building where I live, and I see all the
He's posted in the glass Mikey Cheryl Mikey Cheryl Mikey Show,

(45:05):
and I said, where is Jack tender Rally? So I
reached out to Jack. He's sending ten of those and
they're gonna be put alongside host so people know it's
not just running.

Speaker 2 (45:18):
This is nice, right, good, Good for you, Sondra, Thanks
for the cause. Always. I'll sneak in Joe from New
York City. Make it real fast, Joe.

Speaker 6 (45:26):
These anti American Democrat marchers saying no Kings. Did they
ever hear about Martin Luther? Martin Luther King?

Speaker 2 (45:36):
Okay, you waited on hold all that time to say that?

Speaker 3 (45:39):
All right?

Speaker 2 (45:40):
Um, Just one last thing I'm watching on Netflix Monster,
the Ed Greenes Story. Have you seen this this guy would?
I mean, he was a serial killer from I guess
the fifties in Wisconsin. But is it's pretty graphic. He
was schizophrenic, but he killed I think over two hundred people,

(46:06):
and I mean they don't hold back. It's pretty, it's
pretty sick, and it's I mean, it's very interesting. But
the movie Psycho and Texas chain massacre is based on
this guy, as well as a lot of copycat serial
killers based what they did on that guy. And it

(46:30):
was really, really sick. But I do a pretty good
at least the actor who portrays him. I do a
pretty good impersonation of ed Gian.

Speaker 8 (46:38):
Okay, mother, So I mean, if you're seeing this on Netflix,
this is how he sounds. And don't tell me that
you're not watching it, and don't think that right now.

Speaker 2 (46:49):
I am ed Gene. Watch it, and don't tell me
that I didn't do a good job. All Right, We're
back here next Saturday.

Speaker 4 (46:58):
Jersey girls don't like to pump their own gas.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
We'll continue that full service.

Speaker 2 (47:02):
He was right, He's like, you want to lose an
election in New Jersey, make people, make people have to
pump their own gas. You know, it's all these one
little issues that can win or lose a race.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
Good for Jack.

Speaker 2 (47:14):
All right, So I will see you next Saturday one
to three on Newsmax for Saturday Agenda, and of course
here on my show at four o'clock and then seven
oh eight every Friday morning with Larry MENTI okay, keep
it right here seven to ten wor all week long,
