Speaker 1 (00:00):
This hour of programming on seven ten doubr. He's sponsored
by Toyota City and Mamaranac and Nissan City of port Chester,
proud members of the Integrity Automotive Group now former Westchester
County Executive Rob Aristorena. On seven ten do WR.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
The Marine Band, Hail to the Chief, Ruffles and flourishes included.
That's the Ruffles at the very beginning. But let's see
forty eight minus forty four hours until Donald Trump takes
the oath of office a little less than that actually,
(00:45):
on what's going to be a frigid, frigid, freezing cold
nation's capital. So I'm not really looking forward to this.
I'm going down right after the show. I'm heading down
to Penn Station, taking an Amtrak, joining the entire news
Max team. We're all staying in one hotel and we've
(01:06):
got a big event tomorrow night for Newsmax, some other
things I'm going to and then on Monday, it's gonna
be it. That's it. So my assignment, the one that
I drew ordinarily on a forty degree day, would be great.
I'll be positioned. There's only gonna be five networks. Apparently,
it's gonna be ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and Newsmax. So
(01:31):
we've got a perch right across from We're in Lafayette Park,
right across from the White House. So that's gonna be
where I will be on Monday morning doing reporting in
some commentary for our Newsmax coverage. And I'm going to
be there. Apparently we're gonna leave the hotel at four
in the morning and then get over to because it's
(01:54):
going to be a total nightmare. It's just you know
what it's like when the United Nations General Assembly is
in New York, everything kind of shuts down on the
East Side. This is like ten times worse. They're locking
down Washington. Every street is closed anywhere near the Capitol Building,
anywhere near Pennsylvania Avenue, Constitution Avenue, the White House, and
(02:19):
if you've seen photos or video of today, they've got
these massive fences everywhere. So it's like you're gonna be
a rat in a little cage trying to get through
the maze of DC. So everyone's like, oh, so exciting
You're going down to the inauguration, eh, I mean yes,
(02:40):
I've been looking forward to this for four years for
Donald Trump to put his his left hand on the Bible,
his right hand up saying Donald John Trump du solom
we swear can't wait for him to become president and
JD vance to become vice president and end this four
year nightmare of this ineptitude by the bumbling moron Joseph
(03:02):
Robin Biden. Goodbye. But it is going to be so
cold that they've actually canceled the entire parade. Originally they
were gonna have some parade from a location to the
Capital one Arena and then do the rest inside. It's
gonna be so frigid and with the windshill apparently like
(03:26):
zero I think snow tomorrow like maybe up to six inches,
and then maybe snow on Monday. So it's gonna be brutal.
And so you know, so we were told, look, you
gotta be presentable and where like an overcoat a tie,
(03:48):
but you know, dress warm, but you can't look like
you're at a football game. You got it. This is
like the presidential inauguration. So I'm so stupid. Ordinarily, I'm
a good hacker, and wherever I go, I take half
of what I need because I've learned through the years
(04:08):
you just don't need as much as you think you do.
And you know, if you're on vacation and you tell
you wear the same shirt twice or whatever in that week,
who cares. So I started packing last night and I'm like,
all right, I didn't look at the forecast again, the
updated forecast this morning, which got worse. So I have
my overcoat, which is very nice, very presentable, but I
(04:33):
had a very big, like parka that I was gonna
stuff into the suitcase and I just I left it
home and my wife's like, just take it, you got room,
and nope, stupid me. I leave it home. Last night
I did go out and I got my thermals, so
I'm ready. I've got two gloves, a hat, but I
(04:54):
don't really know if I could wear it because it'll
mess up my hair. I don't think I could wear
it on the air. I did get the ear mups,
and now I know. I'm like, I'm totally unprepared. I'm
going down with ten digits on my hands, I'm gonna
come back with seven. It's just gonna be brutal. So
I think tomorrow I'm gonna have to figure out. I'm
gonna find a place in DC, I think, and I'm
(05:16):
gonna have to get like I should have brought ski
pants because you're not gonna see my pants, so I could,
I could wear jeans underneath. But I didn't even bring
the right boots anyway. And now this isn't about me,
This is DC. This is gonna be fun while you're
watching it on TV in the warmth of your home,
(05:37):
think of me as I'm chattering on TV. But look,
this day couldn't come quick enough. And I want to
get your opinions too. One eight hundred and three to
two one zero seven ten one eight hundred three two
one zero seven ten rob Asterino here on seven ten.
Woor man, oh man. We've been waiting for this for
a long time, right, It's just ugh. I remember day
(06:00):
he left four years ago, how miserable I was. I'm
sure you were, or many of you were, And now
it's this country. Wouldn't I don't think would have survived
and would not have ended up in the shape that
we were in four years ago. We would not have
been the America that we know if we had gotten
(06:23):
Kamala Harrison there for four or eight years. I mean,
they have ripped apart the constitution, ripped apart your rights,
Let open the border. So now we've got I mean,
it's probably incalculable. We don't know exactly how many illegal
aliens are in this country now just in the last
four years, and just imagine exponentially what they would have done.
(06:46):
They would have turned this country inside out, which by
by design, is what they wanted to do. And thankfully,
we the Americans you know, who went out to vote,
got off the couch and said enough, this is insane.
And so it culminates on Monday at noon, thank god.
So you know I played Hale to the Chief. You
all know Hell to the Chief. But did you know
(07:08):
that there's actually a vice presidential song? All right, So
when JD. Vance takes the oath of office, they will
play the vice presidential song. And just like wherever the
president goes for an event, the marine band or somebody
plays Hail to the Chief, they actually do that for
the vice president. And it's called Hail Columbia. And it
(07:29):
also has the ruffles and flourishes, you know at the
very beginning. So I'll play that so you know what
to expect when JD becomes your VP. That's JD. Vance's
(07:56):
song for the next four years. Maybe no, he won't
have it. After that, he'll he'll either have hail to
the Chief or he'll have nothing. Because Trump is only
there one term, so jd. Vance will only be VP
for one term and then of course he'll leave. So
it's a very peaceful transition of power. Four years ago.
(08:17):
I don't care where you are. It was not a
great day on January sixth, obviously that if you go
back again eight years and I remember how crazed the
Democrats were, and they continued that for four years. Four years.
(08:37):
They were off their rocker, the Trump Arrangement syndrome, the
insanity that you know, you had the uh just marches everywhere,
and they did that four years ago. The protesters were
violent in twenty sixteen, if you remember, I know many
people who went down I was down there in twenty
(08:58):
sixteen for the inauguration and I remember seeing these lunatics
around the streets and it was violent at times. These
were the anarchists, the anti Trump, the just anti Americans.
You flash forward to today, I mean, they had like
a pathetic counter protest today in Washington. It was like
(09:20):
they didn't even know why they were there. They're so
deflated right now, the left, it's so fun to watch.
They're there protesting. They don't even really know. Yeah, climate change,
We're here for the climate. Oh okay, we're here for
women's rights. Oh oh okay, we're here to save our uterus.
Oh okay, yeah, just the typical nonsense. But the passion
(09:43):
is not there. And I think the obstruction, the obstruction
eight years ago for Donald Trump's first term, as you know,
was it was so it was so destructive to this country,
and they put him through an impeached, multiple impeachments, the
(10:03):
Russia investigate. Everything was meant to stop Donald Trump and
to stop democracy because we voted for him, but they
didn't want that. If now it's just so different because
he won that popular vote, because the issues are so glaring,
and there's only one way to point the finger at
(10:24):
the ineptitude of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and what
they have put America through economically with the inflation, the
crime and the illegal aliens. Everything. It's just different now,
and I think Trump has such an opportunity to come
in here with a clean slate, and obviously with a
(10:44):
Republican House and Senate, he's going to get a lot done.
But it has to happen quickly. He has and he
knows it's going to be the hundred hours. Well, it'll
start with about one hundred executive executive orders, which will
begin within the first hour or so. It's interesting actually
on inauguration Day, so tonight and tomorrow, Donald Trump will
(11:08):
stay at the Blair House, which is on the White
House grounds and it's where foreign dignitaries stay and incoming
presidents will stay. So he will be there tonight and
tomorrow night, and then on Monday they have the whole
you know, for show, but it's part of America. Where
(11:31):
the Trumps will pull up to the north portico at
the White House, greeted by the Bidens. They go inside,
they pretend they like each other. They have some tea
and that's that. But then there's holding rooms for them
and their families. Then you know, the vice president elect
does the same thing, meets with the current Vice president. Awkward,
(11:52):
but anyway that happens, and then everything is by the
just the detail of something I've seen, the whole list
of how the lima, where it stops, who gets out first,
who gets in the left side, the right side. It's
just really amazing how they do this. And then the security,
(12:13):
and it's just it's so cool, it really is, and
it's unfortunate that people who are down in DC to
wanting to see this by sitting on the mall watching
the Capitol steps. That's not gonna happen. They're gonna see this.
I don't even know if they're gonna have the screens.
I think they're gonna dismantle or just not permit people
because it's so cold. But then they've got the arena,
(12:34):
but that only holds twenty thousand people, so everything is
kind of up in the air right now. They're making
moves on the fly and they're gonna fix I guess
a situation that's kind of broken with the weather, and
I think they're probably making the right decision. It's not
fun and it's dangerous being outside for hours and hours
(12:55):
in zero degree weather with the windchill, and if it's snowing,
it's even worse. All right, So here's my question to you.
The Biden error E R R O R not er A.
The Biden error is over, or will be in a
day and a half, thank god. So I'm gonna give
you two things. You can tell me what the worst
(13:19):
moment of Joe Biden was in these four years and
or what you expect from Donald Trump? I mean, if
if Donald Trump doesn't do X, it will be a
complete disappointment. What do you expect from Donald Trump? One
eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. One eight
hundred three two one zero seven ten. We will line
(13:39):
up your calls and we'll take them in just a moment.
And make sure you can follow me on Facebook and X, Instagram,
all the social media at rob Astorino A S T
O R I N O. And if you miss any
of today's show or you want to rehear it or
you want to forward it to somebody, hey, make sure
you listen on Saturday's four o'clock. Just go to the podcast.
(14:03):
It's via seven to ten wor dot com or the
iHeart app, which hopefully you have already downloaded on your phone,
because you could listen to us live. In fact, when
I take the train down and Amtrak, I am a
six ZHO five train from from Penn Station, I could
listen on the iHeart app to doctor Doctor Perry, and
(14:23):
I think I will all listen to his show because
I love his show. He's a great plastic surgeon. All right,
we got a new uh, we got a great advertiser here.
By the way, you want to hit it, Bruce, go ahead, Williams.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
Pain AG Williams pain Thing to Williams to do the
job right.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Oh I love these guys, AG Williams Painting. If you've
been in business since nineteen oh six, you're doing something right.
And they are. In fact, now this is the third
generation of the family owned and operated business AG Williams Painting.
So here's the deal. They do residential commercial concrete floor painting.
Who does that?
Speaker 4 (15:02):
They do?
Speaker 2 (15:03):
And they've got expert craftsmen for the repairs. Like you know,
if you're getting painting done and you got rotted wood
around the windows, let's say that needs to be painted,
are you gonna do it? No, You're gonna have those
guys do it because they're they're good. They do painting
like the experts that they are perfect edging. That's how
I say you do a good job. If you can't
(15:25):
tell that there was painted, like you know, you don't
see the brushes and the marks and the edging is
done perfectly, then they're great. So you can get a
cheap contractor go right ahead. It's gonna cost you more
in the long run, or you can get Age Williams Painting.
They're gonna do the job right. They're license, they're insured,
they're certified, and honestly, they are the people you trusted
do the job right. So go to Agwilliams Painting dot
(15:48):
com Agwilliams Painting dot com and get yourself a quote,
because you know what, that garage that you've had like
forever and the paint is peeling. Your neighbor doesn't want
to tell you it's ugly, but you should really get
it repainted and ed stripped. I'm actually talking about myself.
My garage is horrible, all right. Ag Williams Painting. They're
(16:09):
the good ones, headed Bruce.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
Ag Williams Pains. AG Williams Painting. The people eat to
do the job right.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
I'm never gonna get that out of my head. All right,
we'll take your calls. One it hundred three two one
zero seven ten. One in hundred three two one zero
seven ten rob Asterino you're on seven ten wr.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Seven ten Doubler presents the rob Astino Show.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
All right, let's get to your calls in just a moment.
One eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. But
of course Toyota City my buddies. I love these guys
an Integrity Automotive Group. If you're looking for a Toyota
you know you want a new SUV because you want
to get through the winter. I want to get rid
of your old junkie lemon. Now's the time to go.
(16:58):
Go to uh Toyota City. Tremendous inventory. They've got all
the models and trims and stock, good lease rates, still
financing offers. I can't speak today. What's going on? Transparent pricing,
no hidden fees. You know what I'm practicing shivering on Monday,
That's what I'm doing. I'm gonna be in front of
(17:19):
the White House going Okay, He's what's going on. So anyway,
if you want out a new car, you gotta go
to Toyota City because they are part of the Integrity
Automotive Group. I'm part of their family because I got
my vehicle from them as well. And if you do
head over there, you tell them we sent them, we
sent you, and you'll get five hundred dollars off any
(17:40):
vehicle in stock. So either visit them. They are in
Mamarnick right off ninety five or basically right off two
eighty seven on Route one, Toyota CITYENY dot com. Toyota
CITYENY dot com for Transparency, Efficiency and Respect twenty five
this after four o'clock. Okay, lining up your calls, let's
(18:04):
go right now and three two one zero seven ten.
We will start with Sonny in Seaside Heights. Hey, Sonny, Hey,
bottom line.
Speaker 5 (18:14):
First of all, let's remember the American Marine Band was
created by Thomas Cheffis, and as president, he went to
Italy to find the best musicians in the world. Now,
as for Biden, the worst thirteen of my brother and
sister American Marine slaughtered because it's all asked backwards evacuation
from Afghanistan. What if I expect them? Trump? What is
(18:35):
it did before? He's gonna do better, Help the veterans,
secure the boarder, crackdown on the gangs, help the economy,
and prevent anything that California happening like that again and
out there, let's Coast Cares and Santa Monica Church been
helping before and after, they'll help. And he's Coast Portowar
dot Off, the mclion doctor that he was at the part.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
All right, Sonny, thank you See it's like I allowed him.
I left him with a long leash. I let him go,
and then you know he doesn't know where to stop. Okay,
let's go Andrew in stand hope, Hey, Andrew.
Speaker 6 (19:12):
How's it going.
Speaker 7 (19:12):
I would say Trump's accomplishments or what I'm looking forward to,
and Biden's failures, or of course the inflation like you mentioned,
ruining our energy independence, which is crazy because natural gas
is a cleaner fuel source, even Biden, I mean even
Obama that it would be a good transitional fuel for
the next fifteen or twenty years. And like you mentioned,
(19:36):
in the Middle East, the Abraham Accords gas prices, so
it's one disaster after another. And mass incarceration when he
was a senator and blocking school choice, you know, going
back and segregation, harassing eight year old girls, being accused
of pedophila. So his whole life associated with the klu
(19:59):
Klux Klan wizard. You know, his whole legacy is bad
in every way. So it's a disaster. But everything will flip.
Like I'll leave you with this, like you said, it
was so sad four years ago, but now I think
even most on the left are not even upset Trump's
in there because they see the direct comparison.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Yep, all right, Andrew, thanks for the call. One eight
hundred three two one zero seven ten. One eight hundred
three two one zero seven ten. What was the worst
Biden moment, or really, what was the worst about his presidency?
I'll tell you mine in just a second. And then
what are you looking forward to with Trump? I mean
high expectations. Obviously, if you voted for him, you voted
(20:38):
for him for a reason, and maybe it was just
to get rid of this imbecile. But some somehow Trump's
got to get in there and make things happen fairly quickly,
and I think he will do that. So let me
just say about Biden why. I think he was obviously
a horrible president. And you know, you can't control everything
(21:02):
as a president. You can't. There's some things that are
out of your control, but you have to deal with them.
But and I'm not so sure he even knows half
the things he did or documents he signed. I think
the people around him, all those Obama little apparatrics, they
did these things. But the worst thing about the Biden
(21:25):
presidency to me was bringing America to his knees. Basically,
two things domestically making us just as Americans so divided,
but taking away our rights, trying to force us to
with this woke nonsense, either believe or be forced to
(21:48):
say out loud what we don't believe. Oh yeah, yeah.
The guy over there with a beard and a bulge
in his pants who tells me he's a woman, I'm
supposed to say, yes, you're a woman, and you what
your pronouns are? He didn't believe that. Do you really
think an eighty two year old guy who grew up
in a very different generation really believes that. No, he's
(22:10):
just so weak and incompetent that he didn't have that,
you know what's to stand up. And so he just
went along and it became worse and worse and worse,
and he let them all make that a part of
every department, the whole DEI thing. It's so destructive, and
they forced it into corporations who followed along because they
were afraid of reprisals. Some of that's being undone now,
(22:33):
thank god. But internationally America cannot be weak, and we
are at least we were. But you see this agreement
now between Hamas and Israel, which was on the table
for a year. They laughed at Biden. They didn't want
(22:54):
to do a thing because they didn't have to do
a thing because Biden was playing both sides. He was
reprimanding Israel publicly basically withholding tools that they needed, including arms,
and we just look so feckless. And a week America
is really dangerous in this world because now you see
(23:15):
what happens. And I really don't think there's no way
Hamas would have done what they did on October seventh
if Trump was there. I don't think Russia invades. I
really believe he's right. I don't think Russia invades Ukraine.
Just look at the reactions since Donald Trump was elected.
All of a sudden, a week before Trump takes office,
there's this negotiations and it's similar to what they proposed
(23:38):
a year ago. But Trump is the one that said, hey,
I'm coming in. Things are going to be really different
at twelve oh one on Monday, and there is going
to be all held to break loose if you don't
release these hostages starting by then. And you know what,
of course they took them seriously, just like everybody is.
Look at all these foreign countries doing what's never done.
(23:59):
They're some of their top diplomats, if not, if not
the chief elected official or the head of state to
the inauguration. Why because it's a new sheriff in town,
one that actually means business didn't happen with Joe Biden.
He's so weak. That's I think the worst part. We
can argue about policies, but America on our knees and
(24:24):
looking so incompetent and weak and not leading. That's dangerous.
And this world was ready to explode. If Kamala Harris
took over, this world would have been upside down really fast.
And by that I mean not just like chaotic, I
mean like dangerous, like wars everything else. Terrorism abound. So
(24:45):
that that's to me the number one thing. One hundred
and three to two, one zero seven ten. Let's go
to Renee in Neptune Beach, Florida. Hi, Renee.
Speaker 8 (24:55):
Hirab, how are you? So? I will answer your question,
and then I have a couple of other quick things.
Answering your question. The worst thing kind of dovetails with
what you and some of the other callers said. It
was his dementia, his mental incapacitation that led to all
(25:22):
of the ridiculous decisions. And you know, policies that were
put in place obviously by other people pulling the strings,
so that to me was just criminal and the worst thing.
The first thing I want to see Trump do, He's
already put. He's already preparing for all of this, which
is what I love virtually every one of his campaign promises.
(25:48):
I think he has already teed up with people around
him that he trusts, that are loyal, He understands the process,
and that way when he does get into office, he
is going to be able to just grind through a
lot of these things and get a lot of stuff
off the table, right, you know, in those first hundred days. Now,
(26:14):
the last thing I'll say, because other people probably want
to talk, is you know that I am a tundra
person born and raised in Michigan, and I'm just going
to give you a quick tip to stay warm because
you're going to have to scramble.
Speaker 6 (26:29):
Now.
Speaker 8 (26:30):
You will probably be able to find either from a
street vendor or from you know, a Walgreens or a CVS.
Those air activated hot hand things, yeah, emergency blankets, use them, No,
you know what.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
You're right. I was actually thinking of asking my wife
because she does the old Amazon stuff I'm terrible and
asking her to order something now to be delivered to
the hotel tomorrow. I'm thinking of doing that too.
Speaker 8 (27:02):
But they have a variety pack of hot hands on Amazon.
I looked right before I called, Oh yes, stick them
in your shoes, stick them in your coat pocket, stick
them in your in your hands, and if you have
one of those boil emergency blankets, you can wrap that
around yourself. Nobody's going to know because they're not going
(27:22):
to see it from the waist down.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
That's right, No one other thing.
Speaker 8 (27:26):
It was a pleasure. It was a distinct pleasure to
attend the twenty sixteen with you. Thank you, And I
think this twenty twenty four is such a gift. It
was way better that he won this time than in
twenty twenty because everything has just been The masks have
been ripped off, everything has been ripped off. It is
(27:48):
so defining, it is going to be magnificent.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
Yep, Renee, thank you. Renee, formerly of Westchester County, now
living in Florida. Thanks so much, all right. One in
one hundred and three, two one zero and ten Danny
in Westchester County, Hi, Danny, how are you? Danny? Danny
going once, Danny going twice. All right, we'll see when
we can get back to him. Bob, Oh, go ahead, Danny,
(28:13):
go ahead.
Speaker 6 (28:14):
Great, Yeah, I'm here a rod tremendous show.
Speaker 9 (28:16):
I love it.
Speaker 6 (28:17):
I'm addicted to it, to the station. But the thing
is Cruff's getting in Monday.
Speaker 9 (28:23):
We're all happy, better than the I mean, the tax
policy is important, Bard is important, but I about it.
So many people have invaded this country. That is no
just think that you do about it.
Speaker 6 (28:35):
Really, they're dispersed all over the country.
Speaker 9 (28:38):
They gave him all the trick let nothing you can
be and everything, and these illegals they're stayings.
Speaker 6 (28:42):
So you can't paint in Spanish. That's the money for
Manhattan schools. And your ratings went.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Down, Danny. Thanks for the bad connection, So you try
again next week. And I appreciate you you listening. And
one hundred and three two one zero seven ten. Rob
Astarino here, what are you expecting from Donald Trump? And
what's the worst thing about Joe Biden last four years?
So much to pick from? Bill in malvernon, Hi, Bill,
(29:08):
how are you hey?
Speaker 10 (29:09):
Rob?
Speaker 6 (29:10):
How are you?
Speaker 10 (29:11):
I'm pegging Baker's brother?
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Oh, very nice?
Speaker 11 (29:14):
Go ahead, yeah, And I expect I expect greatness from Trump,
and we know we're all going to get it. But Biden,
he's a shyster that cloaks himself in righteousness.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
He does, he really does.
Speaker 11 (29:30):
He should he's subject, he should be subject to this
Edition Act.
Speaker 10 (29:33):
And he's a trader. Well, you know, my rand daughter
who's seven years old and trap bagging school, wants to
say something quits.
Speaker 11 (29:45):
I can stand up Kamala for a positive phrase.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
See that seven year old has more of a brain
than Joe Biden.
Speaker 11 (29:53):
Oh yeah, she told somebody who was going for Camala.
She said, I can't take it. I can't hate her for.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
Bill.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Thank you for the call. Yeah, thank you. You don't
have to watch the game until five o'clock. Kansas City already.
It took on a minute and two seconds. They had
a long kickoff return and they're winning three nothing over
the Texans. All right, let's go to Sondra in New Jersey. Hey, Sondra, Hi,
(30:21):
Hi Rob, I'm happy you're going.
Speaker 12 (30:24):
I went to the last inauguration. This year, I'm going
to stay home, sit on my couch with my cat
on my lap, and I'm going to save her every
minute of this wonderful, wonderful day. And I think it's
God's will that they're going to have it indoors, because
you know, we need to keep this man safe. And
to me, it's safer indoors than out. And they even
(30:46):
questioned the animals, the horses and the dogs being outside
in this frigid weather, so please stay warm. And I
wanted to say that going forward Lloyd Austin and merrickalland
they got quite a lovely sh and off. I'll say
this love is blind. And Joe Biden he signs some
(31:07):
executive orders and one that bothers me a lot is
he wants these people who are immigration illegals to sit
here eighteen more months and get work permit. So he's
doing damage to the bitter end. And as far as
Hrum goes, there's so many wonderful things he's gonna do.
But I'd like to see the prisoners get out of
(31:27):
jail that really do not be warm there.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
And January six I would like what was that January
sixth prisoners?
Speaker 12 (31:36):
Yeah, And I'd like to see all more money in
our pockets every day when we go shopping. And I'd
like to see freedom of speech again not being censored
everywhere we go, and I'd like to see fairness all
across the board. And I think we're going to get
it with this man.
Speaker 13 (31:53):
I really do.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Oh he's on a mission, and I'm glad he's glad
he's taken over. Thanks so much, Sandrad three two one
zero seven ten rob Asta Reno Show. Let's go to
Maria in Tarrytown.
Speaker 5 (32:06):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Maria.
Speaker 14 (32:08):
Hi, Ron. I feel really bad for you being out
in the freezing cold at there at four am, but
you're going to be in good company. You're gonna have you.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Did we lose her? We lost her? I'm sorry. Called back, Maria.
I don't know what happened there, especially since you felt
so bad for me, Please call back. Let's go to
Michael in Oyster Bay. Hi, Michael.
Speaker 6 (32:31):
Yeah, Hey Ron.
Speaker 15 (32:32):
First of all, I wanted to thank you for you
single handedly saved the suburbs least of New York from
when you took on the Obama entire government and fought
with us from them changing the housing. I don't know
if you never get enough credit for that.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
I don't think well. I appreciate that that was my
hud battle and we did not back down in Westchester
and we won. And for those of you who don't know,
Barack Obama and his HUD and Justice departed and bullied
west Chester, called us racist, segregationists, all this other stuff
and wanted to overtake local zoning and which would have
(33:08):
been an utter disaster. And so we fought it. Unlike
others who folded like a cheap accordion, we fought it
in and out. And I have to tell you those
are not some fun days when they were threatening me
with contempt and everything else those thugs do. But we won.
And the other thing I'm really proud of too, is
two years ago we got that video, that undercover video
(33:29):
that we took at Westchester Airport showing what they were doing,
the Biden administration flying illegals up from this southern border,
landing them in the middle of the night at the
county airport in Westchester and other airports around the country.
But we broke that and that was the tip of
the spear, and they lied to our face and say
it wasn't happening and it was only kids, blah blah blah.
(33:53):
This was just the very beginning of their plans, and
you can see how worse it got, all right, Maria
is back. Okay, Maria, sorry about that. I don't know
what happened.
Speaker 14 (34:02):
Ahead, no problem. Yeah, I feel really bad. You're going
to be out there in the freezing cold, but you're
gonna have good company. You're gonna have Elon Musk, is
It Beck and Sean Hannity. So but here in New York,
we're going to have an inauguration party.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
Good.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
You know, I know a lot of these people are
having inauguration parties. And I posted something. In fact, if
you get a chance, go to my Facebook or Instagram.
I even posted on x there was a bakery and
now I can't say the bakery, but my daughter works
there and they made they sent it to me. They
(34:39):
made these special cookies that were and you'll see on
the if you if you go to my Instagram or
any of those at rob Astorino, you will see these cookies.
And it was fight fight, fight, it was the uh,
it was Trump. It was really so well done. So anyway,
I tagged the bakery. They were inundated with calls today
(35:04):
for people who wanted these cookies that were just made
for me. I felt so bad, and my daughter calls
me up. I was actually on the air at Newsmax
and she she texts me, you gotta take the tag
off of the bakery. People are driving me nuts. They're
calling up and I just tried to do a nice
thing and they were really nice. So anyway, I didn't
(35:24):
want to cause any problems, but I ended up doing it.
And it's thee old no good deed goes unpunished. One
one hundred and three two one zero seven ten. Let's
go to Ralph and Queens. Hey, Ralph, gad Ralph turned
down the radio, going once, going twice, Ralph, You're gone,
(35:48):
try again, but you turn it off, all right? Jim
in Manhattan, you're on seven to ten w R the
rob Asta Reno Show. Hey there, mister.
Speaker 13 (35:55):
You know, to me, the worst thing about the Biden
four years is that the Democrats have competti, vindictive and
small minded. Early in twenty one, a Midwest college professor
wouldn't call Jill Biden doctor Biden because she's not a doctor,
and the Biden White House contacted that college and got
the professor fired. I knew we had a problem then,
(36:16):
and it seems to me that in four years, that
petty iness tried to take us into a sind in
this or Stalin sension is censorship society.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Yeah, oh, there's no question. I mean, thank God, and
I appreciate the call, Jim, thank God again. If Kamala
and Kamala Harris is like a true believer Californian, San Francisco, Nuttyville,
if she had become president in four years or eight, oh,
there's no looking back, this place would have been an
(36:48):
a sane aside on this country. We would be a
third world country real soon, and to some extent Soviet
style or communist China style or North Korea, because you
will have you would have had no rights. You would
have been forced to pretend and play with the whole
DEI woke nonsense. It just would have been. It would
have been so bad. Oh and that laugh. Could you
(37:11):
imagine listening to that for four years? Oh my god,
I gotta stop laughing.
Speaker 5 (37:18):
Lady.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
You gotta tell you about Nissan City. There's nothing to
laugh about. They're terrific. If you need a Nissan, or
you love Nissans, or you've never driven a Nissan and
you want to try it out, then you got to
go to Nissan City in Portchester. They've got a really
good people there. I've been there again. They're part of
the Integrity Automotive Group, like Toyota City and many other
(37:38):
dealerships that they have under their umbrella in the Tri
State area. And they're they're really good. And you know,
it's like, I will not tell you or have an
ad on this show if I don't believe in them,
if I think they're hucksters or whatever, I just won't
do it. So they're good, and I hope you if
(37:59):
you're looking for a Nissan or Toyota, go to Nissan
City in Portchester and become part of the Integrity Automotive
Group family. They're right off Exit eleven, off two eighty
seven or exit twenty one off the off I ninety five,
Nissan cityeny dot com Nissan cityeny dot com for transparency,
(38:19):
efficiency and respect. I think I was supposed to roll
my rs there. Respect. Oh my god, people really want
to talk today. I was gonna talk about Adams and
some other stuff, but I guess I'll take some more calls.
One one hundred and three, two one zero seven ten.
Everyone's excited? Who's not excited about Monday at noon? Rob
(38:42):
Astrino seven ten? WR be right back, all right, We'll
take you up till five o'clock and watch Newsmax on Monday.
We've got full coverage starting at seven in the morning,
Newsmax and Newsmax two and two. We call it though.
It's on like some of your on your apps and
just great. It's just really good coverage. I'll be doing both.
(39:04):
It's from seven in the morning until I forget what
time we go off on the main coverage. I mean
it's like constant, so just watch it. It'll be great.
All right, let's go get a couple more calls in here.
Let's see. Is this doctor Bob from Great Neck? How
are you?
Speaker 9 (39:21):
Oh?
Speaker 16 (39:21):
There we go, Rob, Yay, finally got through to you.
We're big fans of yours. One of the president of
our Viper Club, Joe Netto, knows you for years and
we got to follow you and we really love the
work that you do. Thank you, and I want to
let you know that there's My wife is going to
Brooklyn with a couple of friends to get to a bakery,
a pastry shop that's making the likeness of Trump on
(39:44):
their cookies and Circo's pastry shop in Brooklyn that looks amazing.
We can't wait to get.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Them, good, good, good good.
Speaker 6 (39:53):
Well, no, they've got.
Speaker 16 (39:54):
A celebration for Monday.
Speaker 12 (39:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (39:56):
Wait, and stay warm, stay warm in Washington please, I know.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
Thank you. And by the way, if I'm not here
next Saturday, it's because I'm on the ICU or something.
Speaker 16 (40:05):
Well, we'll help take care of you over Saint Francis Hospital.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
Okay, thank you, Yes, all right. Alan in Elmont, Long Island, Hey, Alan.
Speaker 6 (40:18):
Oh, hi Rob your show rocks man, it's great. The
only thing I'm really worried about is there are so
many rocks, so many illegals in the country. They estimated
thirty forty million. You had that one illegal alien from
Mexico with the propane gun shooting the propane gas at
the fire fires. I mean, is that the kind of
(40:39):
production we need from illegals. We need them out of
the country, and we and people who want to make
excuses for these illegal invaders ignore them.
Speaker 4 (40:48):
Listen.
Speaker 6 (40:49):
They always never, they always mentioned something, but they never
mentioned Jose Antonio Barra's name. He's the one who murdered
that beautiful girl Lake and Riley strong girl fought to
save a life for it not to be raped. They
never mentioned his name. He said, oh, he's from a
man from Venezuela. He's a migrant. But Luigi, they kept
(41:10):
right like it was like an orginy we're having you know,
Curtis and the other station was mentioned Luigi's name so
many times, but he never mentioned the guys who attacked
his son, Anthony, never mentions it. Why did they get
the free ride? Why are they covering for these you know,
these criminals. The people who are intelligent know why they're
doing it. That's how we lost our country.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Yeah, right, right, Alan, thanks for the call. No, you know, look,
let's be honest. Trump ran on this. He got elected
because of this, I think, even more so than the economy.
And there's gonna be only so much he can do now.
Tom Holman has said that these raids ice raids are
(41:50):
going to start on Monday afternoon in places like New
York City, which I'm sure that's what one of the
things that Mayor Adams was talking about with Trump and
mar Alago yesterday, Chicago and these sanctuary cities, and that's
the exact places that they should be starting, and you know, honestly, shame.
(42:11):
George Latimer is a friend of mine. He was the
county executive after I left. He just got elected to Congress.
I think like his first vote was to vote against
the Lake and Riley Act. Come on, I think Tom Swasey,
who I'm very friendly with on the island, I think
he voted against this. There were only like a few
Democrats that voted for this. I mean, seriously, come on, guys,
(42:34):
this is something that should be so easy to vote for.
Adding additional penalties for those who were already here illegally
and shoplifting or theft or robbery, adding those to the
crimes where they can immediately be arrested and deported. And
you vote against that? Seriously? Rob in South Carolina, where
(42:56):
I'm sure it's a lot warmer than it is here.
Speaker 4 (42:57):
Hi, Rob, warmup, it's pretty cold down here. Hey, listen,
since you're going, you're better off with some battery operated
gloves and socks. Take it from a lifelong hunter skier
and an ex train A retire transit cop did the
best thing in the world. Those heated inserts don't last long. Yeah,
get yourself a pair of battery rated volt gloves did
(43:18):
the best.
Speaker 5 (43:19):
Well.
Speaker 2 (43:19):
I'm trying to talk my way out of this assignment.
I'm trying to talk my way into the Capitol One
arena where the where the whole you know, parade is
going to be and Trump is going to be and
that would be wonderful being inside for five six hours.
I'm totally down with that. But you know what, like
I'm I'm half joking, it's gonna be it's gonna be
a wonderful experience to be outside the White House basically
(43:43):
when and there's a lot happening. You know, you've got
the moving vans are going to be coming in. They start.
It's a five hour process. So they start on Monday morning,
they start moving some stuff out, and then at noon
it's like boom boo boom boom, boom boom. They got
this down. But they changed the Oval office to what
(44:06):
the incoming president wants. Obviously, the the upstairs residence at
the White House that gets changed. Everything gets has They've
been boxing and packing and everything, but everything has to
be finalized, moved out, and everything moved in to the
way that the incoming president wants it. So it's it's
(44:26):
really pretty cool. So you've got that happening and the motorcade,
So I mean, the White House is still obviously a
cool place for me to be perched. It's just you know,
I'm a big baby. I'm a big wimh A couple things,
the Eric Adams meeting with Donald Trump, so this is
(44:47):
obviously interesting. So there's a lot happening here. Trump obviously
would love to stick it to the Biden DOJ and
politically Donald Trump pardoning, and I think there's a better
way than a pardon, because if he issued a pardon,
let's say, to Eric Adams, it would be a preemptive
(45:08):
pardon because in order to have a typical pardon, you
would already needed to be convicted. So a pardon wipes
away the record. He has no record right now. He's
been indicted, but he hasn't been tried yet. There's no verdict.
You don't know. I mean, he could be found not guilty,
but the timeline is such that it's really difficult for
(45:28):
Adams because the indictment happened. So he's got this cloud
hanging over his head. DJ lopping on some inconsequential additional
charges just to screw him. And then in February you
have the petitions that go out. So these are nominating
petitions where people need to get signatures candidates to get
(45:50):
on the ballot. So this is happening late February till
early April, and then in mid April you've got the trial,
and then June is the primary. And you know who
is lurking the guy who screwed it all up, gave
us congestion pricing, gave us no cash bail, and was
the leader of the resistance, or tried to be mandated
(46:12):
our COVID vaccinations and screwed up the entire COVID effort
by New York State. Of course, senting some things that
I don't know how many thousands of people to their
deaths with the nursing home debacle. That's Andrew Cuomo. He's
lurking in the background. But I think a better way
if Trump is going to do this, And for Trump,
(46:33):
pardoning a big city African American democratic mayor politically is
helpful Adams. That might hurt that he got a pardon
from Donald Trump, you know, the most hated man on
the world in the history of the world, even worse
than Hitler to the progressive lunatics in New York. But
(46:54):
I think a better option would be you've got a
new Attorney General, Pambondi coming in You've got a new
Southern District leader here in Manhattan. So let's see. They
could look at the information, they could look at the indictment,
they can look at the whether or not he should
have been charged to begin with, and maybe they make
(47:16):
the decision. You know what, we don't think there's enough
to move forward. We don't think the Biden Justice Department
should have should have brought charges against this sitting democratic mayor.
Let the people decide and they can drop the charges.
That would be a lot easier for Eric Adams politically.
But you know, if it's going to happen, it's going
(47:39):
to have to happen soon. But that would mean Trump
would have to do a preemptive pardon, which everyone kind of,
you know, attacked Joe Biden for preemptively pardoning his son.
And one other thing to consider, Joe Biden still has
but forty something hours left to go. He can still
issue pardons. He could still on at eleven fifty am
(48:03):
Eastern time on Monday, issue a pardon for his brother,
for himself, for whomever hell he wants. He's still president,
so keep in mind what he could still do over
the next couple of days. Anyway, you know, did Eric
Adams talk to Donald Trump about that specific Probably not,
(48:26):
but the fact that he is there was hanging over
their heads and they were both looking at their thought bubbles,
so it may not have come up. It probably was
very inappropriate if it came up, and by all accounts
it did not come up. But the fact that he
was there, that's the back doorway of saying, come on,
and if I'm Eric Adams, I'd rather have a pardon
(48:48):
and I have to deal with the potential of going
to jail, going to prison. I'd rather lose an election
than spend a few years in prison. Anyway, I'm glad
you were with me today. Make sure you watch Newsmax
on Money just if nothing else to see how I'm surviving.
Wouldn't that be fun? And I will be back here
next Saturday four o'clock. Appreciate you listening. Tell a friend,
(49:12):
download the podcast. Listen anytime seven ten wor dot com
or the iheartapp. I'm Rob Astorino. You have yourself a
great weekend, enjoy the inauguration.
