Speaker 1 (00:00):
This hour of programming on seven ten Doubleor. He's sponsored
by Toyota City and Mamaranac and Nissan City of port Chester,
proud members of the Integrity Automotive Group. Now former Westchester
County executive Rob Astorina on seven ten Doubor back.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
All right, fifty five minutes, now fifty four thanks to Merle.
Fifty four minutes of what should be spectacular radio em
I mean, that's so subjective, and you'll give me a
grade at the end. Maybe it won't be so good.
Last week, I apologize for the audio. It was kind
of crappy, and I know some of you called in
and said, what suin day's audio? He sounds horrible. I know,

(00:45):
I know, I know. But we kept on the air
anyway despite it not being so great. And so everything
is okay now, and your number to call, and you
know it is one eight hundred three two one zero
seven ten one eight hundred three to two one zero.
So I I was having a pretty heated discussion with

(01:06):
some of my friends the other day. We were talking
about Trump, and we're all big Trumpers, right, So it
wasn't about Donald Trump in any bad way, but we're
kind of like you know what's going to happen when
we turn the page. Trump's never gonna be on the
ballot again. Literally, he's not gonna be on the ballot again.
And all these trolling of Trump's running for a third term,

(01:29):
Trump twenty to twenty eight. It's so great just because
it drives the left nuts because they have no sense
of humor and they just hate him so much, and
in they're twisted minds they can envision this because you know,
it's a threat to democracy, all this nonsense. Anyway, He's
not running again ever, And when Trump is not on
the ballot, Republicans have not fared well. When he's on

(01:53):
the ballot, obviously he wins, right and all, you know,
tides lift these boats here, and he's done a very
good job by and large of helping bring across Republicans.
But you can see when he's not on and this
year is a great example, Republicans just aren't going out

(02:15):
to vote. Democrats are still fired up, as they always
will be as long as Orange Man is bad, and
he'll always be bad in their head. So you've got
this dynamic right now where there's a transition is starting,
even though nobody wants to talk about it. But there
is a little transition starting. This was a big year
for Trump to get things done. The Big Beautiful Bill

(02:35):
was really important. A lot of good stuff is starting
to be known about it, even though the bill itself
people don't like it because they don't know what's in it,
and they just listen to the Democrats beat it down,
and of course the media never explaining it. But there's
a lot of really good things that are will be
kicking in next year, including tax cuts, which really should

(02:55):
help the economy. And it has to because if it doesn't,
we in trouble. I'm not talking we as the country.
I'm talking we as a party. Republicans are in trouble
next year if the economy isn't perceived to be better.
The economy is pretty healthy. Interest rates are coming down.
I think a thirty year mortgage is like six point
two now, that's down from well over seven. You've got

(03:19):
the market going nuts still and every you know the left,
it's gonna it's a bubble's a bubble, blah blah blah. Well,
you know what, so far, it's been pretty damn good.
And if you're invested in your pensions whatever, your four oh, one,
k's you're doing pretty well, and just the underlying economy
is doing really good, except some of the inflationary issues.

(03:42):
But that wasn't Donald Trump. That started with Biden. It's
carried over to Trump, and yeah, you know there are
things he could do to get that down. But look
at gas prices. Would you rather pay gas prices when
they were under Biden or under Trump? Right now? I
mean I'm paying two something right now the way it
should be or even lower. So it's not about reality.

(04:04):
It's about what you think or what you feel. And
right now, too many people feel that the economy's not
doing well, and as a result, you've got independence swinging
towards the left. That's a big problem going into next year.
And if we've looked at some of these elections, these

(04:24):
off yr elections, the one in Tennessee this past week,
I mean, look, she was a five alarm nut job fire.
Look at her, she was a dumpster fire. She's running
in Nashville and saying she hates Nashville, she hates the police,
She hopes police departments, the buildings burned down, she wants
to defund the police, she hates country music and what

(04:47):
happened in a district that the previous Republican won by
twenty one points to twenty points and Trump won by
twenty two. She loses only by nine. Now, yeah, Republicans
held the seat. That's good, of course, important as a zero
sum game. But the butts have been going on now
for too long. I mean a lot of different seats.

(05:07):
Forget the Jersey governor's race. That's a blue state, but
we thought it would be closer. It wasn't same thing
with Virginia. But you had like state Senate races in
Pennsylvania and in Iowa in red districts that lost. Okay,
so big red flags up there. And hopefully, and I
know Trump is gonna start barnstorming next year, which is

(05:28):
what he does best and what he loves. Get out
of the White House, hit the road, have these rallies,
get people fired up. But what I'm starting to get
to is nobody wants to talk about it. But at
some point, some point next year, things are going to
be slowly shifting from Donald Trump in the Republican Party

(05:52):
to whomever is going to take his place as the
Republican nominee. Now we're not close to that obviously, but
and here's the butt again. At some point it's gonna shift.
I don't even want to know what that's going to
look like. I don't even know. That's gonna be a
crazy time because I don't think the President is going
to want to give up the spotlight. He's going to

(06:13):
have a big say still. But you know, there are
gonna be Republicans who are going to kind of differentiate themselves,
including JD. Vance in some respect, they're gonna have to
differentiate themselves a little bit from Trump and explain why
they can still carry the Maga mantle but be their
own person and offer different ideas. And maybe, just maybe

(06:36):
when Donald Trump is not in office anymore, that some
normalcy returns, because right now it's you know, forget Democrats.
They've they've lost their minds in many ways on every issue.
I mean, they're defending narco drug terrorists right now. Literally,
they're throwing their arms around illegal immigrants who have already

(06:59):
been convicted, did a murder, rape, sexual assault, child pornography,
you name it, and they're throwing their arms around so
that they're they're they have I mean, they've lost all credibility.
And yet if the election were tomorrow, they would take
over the House, okay, and maybe even win the presidency
with that fraud in California or somebody. So we were

(07:22):
having this conversation about, well, who's the best guy to
take over a woman, who's the best person to take
over for Trump when he leaves? And should it be
all about moving forward with Donald Trump's ideas MAGGOTC or
something different. I don't know, but it was really it.
We had like all these different conversations about who it

(07:42):
should be.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Now.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
A couple of weeks ago, I asked you about who
you hated the most as a Democrat, and my god,
I mean, you had a lot that was like crazy.
I couldn't believe how many people not only called in
and wanted to talk, but all the different people who
you really hate. And it wasn't like just one person.
Who's so many to not like from the Democrats. But

(08:06):
this is a little different. I'm gonna turning this around
a little bit because I'm pretty curious about this. I see,
I'm not so sure it's going to automatically go to
JD vance right now. I don't know about that yet,
and I don't know if it automatically goes to a
Marco Rubio, and you got other people who aren't gonna

(08:26):
just sit on the sideline and say, oh yeah, it's
not my turn, it's their turn. No, you get one
shot at this sometimes, and so you're gonna have a
lot of different people. I think Ted Cruz is one
of them. Will DeSantis try to run again? Look, I
can make an argument he has been the best governor
of any state maybe in my lifetime. What he is

(08:50):
doing in Florida should not go unnoticed. His new proposal,
by the way, is to eliminate property taxes. They have
no income tax in Florida, and he's looking to put
on the ballot next year to eliminate to phase out
property taxes, because he says all this is doing is
driving up the cost of local government. They're just spending

(09:11):
like crazy and taxing you more and more. I mean,
this would be a huge experiment if a state were
to get rid of property taxes and then rely, I
guess on sales tax. Sales tax would have to certainly increase.
But now you've got people from all over the country
paying sales tax when they're coming to visit Florida. As
opposed to the burden just you know, more on property taxes,

(09:33):
especially with seniors. So I was kind of leaning towards DeSantis,
and I love jd Vance, I love Marco Rubio, and
there's so a lot of other really viable candidates. As
an executive, I think DeSantis has been phenomenal. He may
not be the most personable, but if you just go

(09:54):
by like an executive, this guy's been life changing in Florida.
He's been just unbelievable. He's really everything you want about
Mega by the way, and he's proven it. So he's
not just like this is what I would do, this
is what he has done. That's everything that Republican governors
should do. So so we were having this whole discussion

(10:14):
and everyone's, ah, it's got to be Jadbantz, It's got
to be Marco Rubio. You know, Trump is going to
make up that decision. I you know, later on in
a year or two, it's going this is just life.
It's going to become less about Trump. I'm not saying
that's a good thing. It's just it is what it is,
and it will be more about those who are throwing

(10:37):
their hat in the ring. So I'm wondering from you
one eight hundred and three to two one zero seven ten.
I think we might get some interesting responses to this,
because I'm wondering who you would want to take over
for Donald Trump. And you might, by the way, you
might be a never Trumper, You may not like Trump,
and so who do you want to take back the

(10:58):
Republican Party? In your view? If you are a Trumper
as I am, who do you want to kind of
move forward what he's already been doing one eight hundred
three to two one zero seven ten. I'm wondering about this.
I'm wondering what kind of reaction we're gonna get, if
it's going to be like the same kind of debate
I had with my friends one hundred three two one

(11:19):
zero seven ten. If you want to participate, that's the
That's the question I'm thrown out to you, because, as
I say at my promo, sometimes my opinions and your
calls one in one hundred three to two one zero
seven ten a couple of things, and then we'll get
to your calls. Did you see this is how fraudulent

(11:41):
the New York Times is and the leftist media. This
whole thing about Robert Kennedy Junior and the whole vaccine committee.
So if you've seen it now, I'm sure because it's like,
you know, it's all over the place. The headline was
they have voted to do away with the hepatitis B

(12:02):
shots for infants as part of the schedule.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Right.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
That is completely and utterly false false. What they said
is the instance of a child, a newborn getting what
is primarily a sexually transmitted disease is nearly impossible, and

(12:28):
so even though it can be transmitted in other ways,
it is very unlikely. Like a toothbrush. You tell me
what six week old needs a toothbrush. And so the
whole headline was Trump, anti vaxxer, Kennedy doing away with
hepatitis B shots. This will kill kids. And this shows

(12:52):
that the CDC, that the the doctors and the public
has lost confidence in the CDC because all politicide. Okay,
we lost we lost confidence with the CDC a while ago.
That was like in COVID, Okay, they never followed the science.
It was all bs. We know that, we know that

(13:13):
for a fact. Now, Okay, all of these, all of
these doctor associations, the CDC, they were all hyper politicized
and to the left. So yeah, it's it's we have
a problem with this. The actual vote that they took
and the recommendation that they made was that since these

(13:35):
shots generally are not needed for a young infant or
even a young child, the recommendation is that it is
up to the parent to talk to his or her
doctor about whether or not to inoculate your newborn with
hepatitis B. That was it. It was not no or

(14:00):
don't do it. But you see how the New York
Times twisted it. That's what we're dealing with. One on
one hundred and three two one zero seven ten. All right, Republicans,
who would you like to see take over at some
point for Donald Trump? Who would be your front runner?
Who would you like to see as the forty eighth

(14:21):
president of these United States of America? Alrighty, let's see
Toyota City. Oh my god, can you imagine waking up
on Christmas morning where I guess for Hanukkah, one of
the light bulbs goes off of the eight and outside
is a brand new Toyota. It'd be pretty good, right,

(14:43):
brand new Toyota. Well, you can go to Toyota City
in Mamarnick and look at and oh I love that smell.
I love the smell of a new car, a brand
new Toyota or a pre owned Toyota. So head over
to Toyota City in Mamaronick. Or you go right online

(15:04):
Toyota City, NY dot com, Toyota CITYNY dot com and
look up. They've got the prices, They've got the vehicle
history just in case it's pre owned. They have everything
you need to know there. Plus, with interest rates coming down,
it is a good time, especially now you know the
average cost of a new vehicle has has gone over

(15:27):
fifty thousand dollars. Imagine that's why people are bitching and moaning.
So go to Toyota City in Mamernick, or look online
Toyota cityeny dot com, Toyota cityeny dot com. All right,
one in one hundred and three two one zero seven ten,
who would be your pick to take over for Trump?

(15:48):
Settle this debate one eight hundred and three to two,
one zero seven ten The rob Astreinos show here on
seven ten wo R. You wouldn't know it's Christmas. By
the way, my wife and I were in the city
last night. I'll tell you more about that later, but
we decided to walk around Midtown and the Tree and
Fifth Avenue. We came across Sachs, you know, the departments

(16:11):
tour and they're supposed to have one of the best
window displays that you could see right And I think
at one point it really was true. It was beautiful.
I didn't know what it was like, non binary. I
don't know what the hell it was last night. It
certainly wasn't Christmas if I mean, it's right next door

(16:32):
to Saint Patrick's Cathedral, right across the street from the
Rockefeller Christmas Tree and Saxsmith Avenue. I couldn't. I don't
know what it was. There was nothing Christmasy about it,
nothing even really holiday about it. I have no idea
what was on display yesterday. Still, obviously they had one

(16:53):
little minora somewhere in one of the windows. I don't
think I saw anything that even resembles Christmas anything green
or red. Nothing. What's the point, what's the purpose? Don't
even put it up? What are you afraid of offending someone?
Then don't do it. You know what you should do.

(17:17):
You should call nine to one four. This isn't the
number of sacks nine one four four oh nine seven
oh six zero nine one four, four oh nine, seven
oh six. Oh, that's deep material contracting. Really, it's a
lot easier just to go to roof Contractors New York.
Spell out New York Roofcontractors, New York dot com. Why well,

(17:41):
if you need new siding, if you need new windows,
if you need a new roof, new gutters, even new
patio work, this is what they do, and they do
it really well, deepterio contracting. Just go online Roofcontractors, New

(18:03):
York dot com. They come in, boom boom, boom, They're done.
They do it really professional. They are very competitively priced,
they're insured. I would just get I don't know, I
would just get an estimate from them. If now's the time,
have them do your work. Last thing you want is
a leaky roof. Trust me anyway, Deep material Contracting, call

(18:26):
for a free estimate, or just go online Roofcontractors New
York dot com and have them come by. Say here's
my problem and let them solve it and then get
a you know, get an estimate. You don't have to
use them, but I would, and I have. They did
my roof all right. One in one hundred and three
two one zero seven ten, one in hundred and three

(18:47):
to two one zero seven ten. As always, you can
follow me on social media Facebook, x, Insta, Truth Social Getter,
all of them at rob Ascarino A S T O
R I n O. And of course make sure you
download the iHeart app. It should be on your phone.

(19:09):
If it's not like why not? You could listen to
the show anywhere, or you could go back to our
podcast if this show or previous shows on seven ten
wr dot com or right on the iHeart app. This
is like great radio? Is it really all right? One
one hundred and three to two one zero seven ten.

(19:29):
So my question has been and is who do you
think should take over for Trump? This is gonna this
is gonna smack us in the face at some point
coming up right after the really at some point next year,
but really right after the midterms, a lot of people
are gonna throw their hat in the ring. Who do
you want to see? Do you want a total break
from Trump? Or do you want someone that's gonna, you know,

(19:52):
be a second coming of Donald Trump? And who would
that be? Okay, let's start in less point.

Speaker 5 (20:00):
Hi John, Oh, are us the redo?

Speaker 6 (20:05):
I listen to you every Saturday, and God bless you.

Speaker 5 (20:08):
I am a Democrat and I turned over to Republicans.
These parties right now is very confusing. But there's one
person in mind that I will literally represent is Liz Cheney.
I'm sorry to tell you that, but you know a
lot of people.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
Well you're a Democrat. You were a Democrat, so you
still have that in your bones. She was like a
total traitor to the Republican Party.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
We can bring she can bring the Republican Party back together.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
She has a history.

Speaker 5 (20:41):
I'm done with Trump. I'm sorry to tell you. I
loved everything, everything that he is and he put in place.
It's great. It's just everyone hates him right now.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
Well not everybody destroyed him. But this is the same
old thing with Trump. It's not everybody who hates him.
It's the media and the left just get amplified in
their hate for him. But you you just said you
like what he has done. Liz Cheney would do the
total opposite. Liz Cheney would be going right back to
the same old, same old where Republicans never had a spine.

(21:15):
At least Trump is forcing Republicans. Trump is forcing Republicans
to pull their pants down and show that they got
that you know what, because they never have, they never have.
Thanks for the call. I appreciate John. One hundred and
three two one zero seven ten. That was a shocker.
Liz Cheney. I don't think we're gonna get a lot
of Liz Cheney's. But who knows. I don't know. Maybe

(21:35):
I George and Rockland County hate George.

Speaker 7 (21:39):
Are you doing good?

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Good?

Speaker 7 (21:41):
All right? So I'm going for Secretary of Education Linda
McCann McMahon.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Look at that, all right?

Speaker 7 (21:50):
Interesting because she is different. She reminds me in some
way Trump. Okay, Okay, for one thing, she's going against
the establishment by the fact what she's doing. Okay, she's
trying to eliminate a waste, a big, big waste. Also,

(22:10):
she has the executive experience what she was doing in
a private world.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Okay, he's the.

Speaker 7 (22:18):
Right person to take over and continue to do what
some people would be afraid to do.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
Okay, I appreciate it. That's good, all right, mc Linda
McMahon has a vote. We'll put her down there. Thanks
for the call. One one hundred and three two one
zero seven ten. Sergio in the Garden State, Hey Sergio, Hey,
how you doing.

Speaker 8 (22:41):
What's going on?

Speaker 9 (22:41):
Man?

Speaker 8 (22:42):
I love the question. I'm baffled by Liz Changey. She
get her flocking in the Wyoming run that she was
in unbelievable. I don't know. I guess people don't really
pay attention to what's going on in politics. I like
to throw out jd Vance. I believe that, you know,
with Trump's policy and with domestic and obviously the the

(23:04):
foreign stuff that's going on, I think he's the best choice.
Uh Mark Rubio is a close, close second, right on
his heels. I think either one would be a two
term president. Obviously, we have to get rid of all
that cheating, and we have to get the UH voter
IDs on the books. And you know, Democrats just scatto
learn that their way is not not the way to go.

(23:27):
Like they lose every single time, even though they've been
winning with these like New Jersey was expected to win,
Virginia was expected to win. So they really didn't win.
It was just an acceptance. UH Blue was blue, and
that's it. They're staying blue. And that's said, say, because
blue is not good. It's not good for the country.
It's not good for legal tax paying Americans. You know, it's.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Good for it's good for convicted felon felons. It's good
for narco terrorists, it's good for illegal aliens. It's good
for those who are very confused about your sexuality and
are making sure we all have to agree with the craziness.
That's what it's good for. But normal typical Americans. No,
you're right, Sergio, Thanks for the call. I appreciate it.

(24:09):
One hundred and three two, one zero seven.

Speaker 10 (24:12):
Ten.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Let's go to the lovely Sondra in New Jersey. Hi, Sondra, Hi, Rob.

Speaker 11 (24:19):
You know it's funny. At lunch today we were talking
just about this who would be best to replace Donald Trump?
And I agree with you. I like Randa Sanders and
I'll tell you why in a second. But jd. Vance,
I read his book, I love his story, I love her.
Love Helly handled, I love Helly handled the debate with

(24:41):
tampon Tims. You know, he was absolutely the best. But
Linda Santas in My Heart is a proven success of
animal welfare a while ago, and they chalumpd about all
the pet stores. Wouldn't it be great if they start
accepting animals and shelters rescue dogs. Well, guess what, Ronda

(25:06):
Santis just made that law. Rob he said, every pet
stor in Florida will have to accept rescue dog, shelter
dog than any young kid who is found abusing an
animal is going to get punished. I like him because
he's a man of action. Just by Donald Trump. I

(25:28):
think they're very, very similar in style. I think Ronda
Santas is transparent, real.

Speaker 12 (25:37):
I like him a lot.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
All right, I'm giving you so right, Thank you, Sondra.
So right now, we've got a Liz Cheney vote. I
don't think she's going to get many. Linda McMahon that
came out of the left field too, but that's a
little more interesting than Cheney. Jd Vance is the is
he would be the odds on favor on the Vegas
Board and Desantas, so they all have a vote. So
you see, it's all over the place. This is exactly

(26:00):
what we were arguing about the other day that I
figured this would be the case. All right, let's go
to Peter in where's the Harlem? Peter? Yeah, okay, hello,
hello Peter. How do you like? Who do you like?

Speaker 8 (26:18):
I'm gonna be honest with you, not gonna be all
politieses are dirty.

Speaker 6 (26:24):
I mean, how do you explain this?

Speaker 13 (26:26):
Kid comes on, what happened to him?

Speaker 2 (26:29):
We lose him? Oh, we lost him? All right? Sorry
about that? All right, let's go. Let's see Amyl in Summit,
New Jersey. Hello, Amyl yep.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
I would say Mike Pompeio.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Oh really, I didn't see I didn't see that one coming. Okay, why.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
Because of his experience, Because he's more conservative, and I
think he's very knowledgeable, and he has you know what
you say, he has the wherewithal alls step it up
to the way and continue with Trump's son.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
All right, So thank you. I appreciate Amyl. So see,
this is it's this is gonna be very interesting. This
is gonna be Everyone thinks it's going to be handed
to JD. Vance and a Vance Rubio ticket. You know,
as Trump was saying, I don't think that's going to
be the case. I think there's gonna be a lot
of competing ideas and there's nothing wrong with that. By

(27:24):
the way, there's nothing wrong with the wide open primary
as long as we all come together afterwards, and I
think we've got great candidates. One eight hundred and three, two,
one zero seven ten will go into Queen's Hey, ROBERTA.

Speaker 10 (27:39):
Hi, Hi, Hi, am I talking to run?

Speaker 2 (27:46):
No, you're not. You're talking to Rob.

Speaker 11 (27:48):
Oh h, you're right, I'm calling about Scott the same Secretary.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Of the Treasury, Scott Besson really absolutely okay, Well that
I'm he won't run, but that's an interesting choice. Thank you, ROBERTA.
Scott Bessont. By the way, I think I mentioned this
in the past. He lived in Bedford in Westchester County.
He lived there for I forget how many years, but
he told me. I saw him and met him for

(28:14):
the first time on the night before the inauguration. So
January nineteenth, Newsmax, we had a big pre inauguration party
and like the whole incoming administration, Trump didn't show up,
but the whole administration basically showed up, and so I
had a chance to talk to Scott Besson and I
went up to him and said, you know, mister secretary,

(28:35):
I just wanted to say hello. My name is Rob.
And he goes, I know who you are, Rob. I
voted for you twice. I said what he said, Yeah,
I lived in Bedford, SAI. He said, I voted for
you for county executive. I thought that was so cool.
All right, so beston has a vote this is like
all over the map. Wow, one in one hundred and
three to two, one zero seven ten. Who would you

(28:58):
vote for? Who do you want to take over? Or
for Trump? If you're a Republican, let's go to is it?
Barrett in Westbury?

Speaker 10 (29:07):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (29:08):
All right, Barrett? Who do you like?

Speaker 12 (29:11):
Uh?

Speaker 10 (29:11):
JD. Vance and Marco Rubill?

Speaker 2 (29:14):
You get one? You gotta pick one. Who is it
gonna be?

Speaker 14 (29:16):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (29:17):
Oh JD Vance?

Speaker 15 (29:18):
JD.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Van's right, so he's leading with two votes. Why do
you like Vance?

Speaker 10 (29:22):
Yeah, he's very Vance is one. He's uh, he's very conservative,
he's very calculating, and he does have a uh, he
does have a particular Trump junis aqua. He'll favor it's
on his mind and he'll just let it out. And
I got to tell you his the way, the way

(29:44):
I came up with his calculating was it was the
debate that you have with Walls and he uh, you
just sort in his eyes how he was planning his
next move and all that.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Yeah, he's he's really good. His story is so good too.
And I think he's so relatable and I thank you
for the call. He's so relatable to people when they
actually see him in action and when they hear him talking,
and he's got a great sense of humor and he
can He's really he's just very relatable. I look, I

(30:17):
would love Jaye. There's a lot of people on this
list that I don't. I mean, I would never ever
be caught dead voting for Liz Cheney, Linda McMahon. She's
not going to be running. Pompeo's not going to run
best and obviously he's not running. I mean I could,
like I said, I love DeSantis. I could absolutely live
with jd Vance. I would work for him like crazy

(30:39):
if he became the nominee. One eight one hundred and
three two one zero seven.

Speaker 10 (30:42):
Ten.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Let's go to David and Irbington in Westchester, not Urbington,
New Jersey. Hello David, David.

Speaker 6 (30:53):
I'm overlooking the Captain c Bridge n good for you?

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Who do you? Janine Pierro is never gonna run for president?
I I can't even put her down. Who else?

Speaker 6 (31:07):
But she would be wonderful and she probably won't. But
you were asking my opinion, who run who?

Speaker 2 (31:19):
I asked you, actually, who would you like to see?
So you get that count, you get that vote. I'll
put it down it could be a write in vote
for Jeanine Piro. All right, David, let's uh, let's go
to James in New Haven, Connecticut. Hello, James, how you
doing well? Hold on one second, James, Hold on one second.

(31:40):
Does New Haven really have the best pizza? Are they
better than New York?

Speaker 8 (31:45):
Oh?

Speaker 16 (31:45):
Twice as good as New York?

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Not twice as good, but I'll tell you the pizza
is really good. Sally's. We love my wife and I
go to Sally's all the time. Peppe's is great, Peppi's
is great. So who do you like for my favorite?

Speaker 8 (32:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (32:00):
They're both good. Who do you like for president?

Speaker 15 (32:03):
I like Rondo Santis and he's a doer.

Speaker 13 (32:07):
The thing is his personality, yep. I think it's going
to hurt him a little bit.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Yeah. So, and here's the thing, and call any week
and I appreciate you calling. Thanks again. The thing about
DeSantis and for those who know him well, and I've
I don't know him well. I've met him, but he's
very He is sort of introverted, which is weird. But
I'm using the word introverted. Others use other words like,

(32:33):
you know, autistic. He's not autistic, obviously, but he is
he what's the best way to describe him. He is
a doer, there's no question. But he is aloof I
guess would be the best word probably, And you know,
people kind of see that and they vote on how

(32:54):
you feel and you want some But I've seen him.
I've seen him in you know, laughing and joking too,
and I think he's got it in him. But he's like,
you know, obviously the first run didn't work well. If
he's gonna run again, I think he would be wise
to get some media training, seriously, because like a JD.
Vance is very well media trained, Mark Rubio is very

(33:15):
well media trained. One eight hundred and three two one
zero seven ten, Rob Astarino, here with you, Floral Park
and Lou Hello, Lou, Yeah.

Speaker 17 (33:28):
Hello. My choice is Rubio because of his foreign policy
experience as up to now, we need a president that's
going to be able to continue that same route of
strength through peace, and I think he's the man that
can continue from foreign policy.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
All right, Well, I was waiting for a Rubio. I
was surprised it took this long. Steven Manhattan, Hello Steve.

Speaker 13 (33:55):
All right, Rob. And the first thing is people have
to remember Rubio was for amnesty, for they invades. Where
he was in the Senate, he was part of the
Gang of Seven. But you know what, right now, I'm undecided,
but I am very impressed with DeSantis. DeSantis every big
issue he will tackle and go after and does not backpedal.

(34:16):
That guy has a future in politics. And that's what
I'm going to say right now when decided.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
All right, you got a head. That's a good call.
I think there's gonna be a lot of people undecided,
but I'm going to give you his DeSantis the vote.
So let's see, that's the third vote for DeSantis. All right,
let's go to Beth Page, Long Island. Hey Chris.

Speaker 14 (34:39):
Guy before Hey Rob, yep, the guy guy stole my
thunder one Rubia one per He's a slam dunk choice.
First of all, you know what the Dems cannot wait
to do in twenty twenty eight. They can't wait to
say how Trump destroyed the Mexican vote and how with

(34:59):
the deportation and he went here, Rubio is Hispanic. I
granted he's Cuban, but he can just say he can
take that away from them, because they're gonna that's gonna
be big on.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
Their agenda la Espanol and he speaks Spanish too, and.

Speaker 14 (35:15):
He's got a beautiful wife at Miami Dolphins cheerleader.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
I know you're a big Dolphins fan, so Ruby's fun
to help. Rubio and I have talked about the Dolphins
because we were the first time I met him, I
had taken my son, who was young at the time,
to a Dolphins game and we were invited in the
owner's box and Rubio was there with his two kids,
and so we've got pictures of us together. There's a

(35:38):
long time ago. I showed him that. He goes, wow,
And I remember asking him, would you rather be President
of the United States or would you rather be coach
of the Dolphins? And he looked at me and goes, oh,
my god, I don't know. I can't answer that question.
That's great, because that's exactly how I would answer it.
I'm where right now, by the way, I am wearing

(35:58):
as Bruce is looking at me across the across the room. Here,
i am wearing my Miami Dolphins hoodie and I've got
my Dolphins old logo on my aqua hoodie. And I'm
waiting for tomorrow. And you know what's gonna happen. The
freaking Jets are gonna beat the Dolphins in end my
one percent chance of making the playoffs if we went out,

(36:19):
it's so stupid. I am one and three two one
zero seven ten. Let's go to let's see.

Speaker 9 (36:26):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (36:27):
Is that Nick in Saint Petersburg, Florida?

Speaker 6 (36:31):
Sure is all right?

Speaker 10 (36:32):
Nick?

Speaker 3 (36:32):
Who? So?

Speaker 2 (36:33):
Let me first off ask you about your governor? Would
you vote for your governor for president?

Speaker 13 (36:40):
I got my signs already.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Ah, so okay, so you're gonna vote for disablers.

Speaker 13 (36:44):
I love the statist. I left Jersey when I was eighteen,
moved to Florida, and he's the greatest governor we've ever had.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
He really is. He's so good at I mean, I
just love that he has such cajones and gets it
done as an executive. It's great. Thanks for the call.
Uh Will in Long Island?

Speaker 12 (37:05):
Hello, Will, I'm part of anyone but JD Vance. I
can't believe you would say positive things about JD.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
No.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
But okay, but tell me why, tell me why?

Speaker 12 (37:15):
Okay, let's get into it. Number one, I don't think
the attacks on Europe and the support for right wing
parties in places like Germany is a very good thing.
I don't think the Tucker Carlson relationship is a very
good thing. I think he, you know, Tucker Carlson is
platforming these anti semis yo. Jd Vance doesn't care. Basically,

(37:36):
jd Vance is in my my impression of Jdvance, it's
just absolutely horrible. A shape shifter. He changed positions over
the years to adapt to what, you know, whatever Maga wants.
And I'm a non Maga guy. I'm a rhino, proud rhyme.

Speaker 3 (37:50):
No.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
All right, so let me ask you. Okay, so as
a non Trumper, who do you who do you want
then to take over?

Speaker 12 (38:00):
Well, if we can't get Pompeo or Nikki Haley, I
would go with Rubio. But Rubio's behavior is a little odd.
He's obviously not in sync with Vance on things like Ukraine.
That's another thing dvanced in Ukraine? Just awful, all right?
You get The point is what's going on with Rubio?
Does he really belong in this administration? Is he really

(38:20):
in sync with it? I think these are all questions
that occur to me all the time. I mean, he's
in this triangle with Witkoff Advance. Is this really making
sense for him anytime.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Anytime you take a job in administration, whether you're a
secretary of a department or an ambassador, whatever you are,
you are there to carry out the policies of the president.
And you know there are going to be times when
you're not going to agree with it, but you can't

(38:51):
say it publicly. You can potentially say it privately about
why you disagree, but when the final decision is made,
you must go out and get the job done. So
Rubio has to do as Secretary of State. It ain't
his policies, it's the policies of Donald Trump that he
has to move forward. So you know, look, they're all
gonna they're want the problem, not the problem. What they're

(39:14):
gonna go through Rubio, Dvance, all of them is at
some point they're gonna have to not shed Donald Trump.
They're going to have to explain why they would be
best to be the next president and what their vision is.
And it's not always going to align with with Mago
or Trump. And that's tough because you want to keep

(39:37):
the Trump support. Obviously you want his support too, but
you know, at some point you've got to be your
own person too, And there's nothing that Rubio is doing,
or JD. Vance is doing as vice president, That to
me is so objectionable that they couldn't be the next nominee.
Let's go to Arlene on Long Island. Tello, Arlene, Hi,

(39:58):
Rob Marco Rubio so.

Speaker 18 (40:00):
I think that of Cuban immigrants we immigrated legally. He
is so awesome when he speaks, can go toe to
toe with anybody. I like Vance. He's smart. God the
Santus doesn't campaign well, so as great as he is
a governor. But Marco Rubio, I think he's so awesome.

(40:22):
Listen to him when he speaks, he goes head to head.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
Yeah, you know he's hits true good pick. I can't
argue with that pick. Thank you? Orlean Caroline in New Jersey. Hi, Caroline, Hey,
how you doing good?

Speaker 19 (40:35):
Okay?

Speaker 16 (40:36):
I want the second coming of Trump. I want Dady Vance.
He has pulled himself up from his bootstamps. He is
an American success story. They can't find any fault with
him other than the fact that he's conservative and he's
worked his ass off for VP. It's got to be
between Rubio because he is a pitbull. Do not mess
with this guy. I can trust him or like the Santus.
He's pretty cool too.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
There you go. So these are the front runners. Obviously
DeSantis has four votes, JD's has three, Rubio has three,
and then there are a lot of other ones and so,
and these really are the three front runners probably going
to next year, although DeSantis were probably further back. But
let's go to uh Robert and Ridgefield. Hey Robert, Hey,

(41:17):
how you doing good?

Speaker 13 (41:20):
Hey?

Speaker 10 (41:20):
So I had to.

Speaker 15 (41:23):
If I was picking, absolutely, I would be picking Desantas.
There's no doubt about it. I mean I picked the
Santas before I picked Trump, and DeSantis would still have
been my pick. Today. We wouldn't be in the message
that we're in today. If we had DeSantis in office
right now, we wouldn't have somebody saying that, you know,
our American citizens need to be supplemented by H one

(41:44):
B visas for our American jobs to be taken. And
we wouldn't have a guy like JD. Vance in office
right now who literally is a comedian and just changes
from day to day. I mean, DeSantis by far as
the absolute winner here. He home runs every single time.
I mean, Florida has been running like clockwork. And if

(42:05):
we could replicate him across every single state. We would
be doing phenomenally. So that's why I would want him
in the federal government.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
All right, hey, thank you. Let's go to South Carolina. Maureen, Hello, Maureen,
how are you?

Speaker 12 (42:15):
Hey, Rob?

Speaker 19 (42:16):
How are you good? I would say DeSantis would be
my number one pick, and all three Rubio and JD.
Vans were fine, But DeSantis, he's just got to lighten
up personality. And because Trump like, he attracts younger voters.

(42:36):
That's what you have to worry about. And Charlie Kirk
he pulled the younger voters in and he you know,
he helps with his campaign and his election. So that's
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
All right, Maureen, thank you for the call. Oh my god,
I got so many calls too, and I got to
do this so long. We do a quick break, Bruce,
and then we'll come back. We'll try to sneak in
as many callers as we can here on the Robot
Reno Show on seven to ten. Wr oh baby, come back, Yeah,
all right, would take you up to the top of
the hour. That's it. Then I'm done till next week.

(43:10):
I have so many callers I want to try to
get to them real fast, because I'm very interested in
who you like. Dave in Pleasantville. I hope it's Westchester
because I'm going to the Pleasantville Diner when this show
is over, when I get home for the great right.

Speaker 1 (43:24):
Yeah, Man, I voted for you, all right, David?

Speaker 13 (43:27):
You like real quick?

Speaker 14 (43:29):
DeSantis is the beats Rubio's Okay, jd Vance.

Speaker 13 (43:33):
You can ride him out of town on a rail.
I don't trust him at all.

Speaker 2 (43:37):
Okay, this is like a big DeSantis win so far.
This is a little surprising to me, but not really.
Curtis in Arizona? What part of Arizona?

Speaker 9 (43:50):
Yes, sir, I agree with the previous caller. He's still
much thunder those three.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
So you like DeSantis? Is that your ultimate vote is?
You have to vote for one who gets along.

Speaker 9 (44:03):
I don't know if he can get along with the
other two people in you know, his sectarious state or
about Sprus. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
I get along well, all right. I still know who
you're voting for, though, real fast, who you're.

Speaker 9 (44:17):
Voting who of those three?

Speaker 2 (44:19):
You? Dad, You can't do that when you walk into
the booth. You can't say one of those three. You
gotta vote for one of them, all right? Barbara in Eastchester.
How are you, Barbara?

Speaker 11 (44:31):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (44:31):
Good, very good? Thank you?

Speaker 6 (44:34):
Who do you like?

Speaker 7 (44:35):
I like Rubio?

Speaker 2 (44:38):
You like Rubio? I do m Are you in the
kitchen right now?

Speaker 7 (44:42):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (44:43):
Are you making something good?

Speaker 7 (44:45):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (44:46):
What are you making?

Speaker 16 (44:47):
Lamb chops, broccoli, sweet potatoes.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
I like everything but the lamb chops. Okay, So for
next Saturday night, I expect something other than lamb chops,
and I'll stop by. Thanks for all right, passa, I
can always go with all right, Joe and Bergen County,
real fast, Joe.

Speaker 4 (45:11):
I'll give everybody a historical update. When Donald Trump ran
for president, he was never a politician. All these people
keep telling you all these career politicians. I want wrong
to I want Marco Rubio. How at this unknown businessman
could be disclosed at a layer date and time A

(45:31):
TBA huh?

Speaker 2 (45:33):
All right? And look that's it's true. Trump came out
of nowhere in essence, and it was you know, it's
a force of personality with Trump, but it was also
honesty and a vision, and it wasn't the same old,
same old, And the thing that makes him so delightful

(45:53):
to Republicans is what turns him off by Democrats. Is
just he's honest. You know, he says whatever the hell
he thinks. He he has no thought bubble. It's like just
comings out of his mouth. So anyway, I figured this
was gonna be the case, but I did not figure
DeSantis would kind of run away with it, and he did.
Interesting because that's who I said. As I told you
earlier in my little discussion with my friends, I thought

(46:17):
DeSantis would make the best president. We got plenty of
time for this. We could do this again another time.
But anyway, I'm out of here. Let's see. I gotta
be back next Saturday. One to three newsmacks. Oh you
got my Dolphins song, Bruce, thank you. We're always in control.

(46:37):
And when you during Miami, you're talking toilet bowl as
we stay. Anyway, I hope we win tomorrow. Beat the Jets, please, Okay,
I hate hearing Jets fans for weeks when they beat
the Dolphins. Please. I'll be back here next Saturday at
four o'clock. Have a great weekend.
