Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two of the four men who pulled off the jewelry
heights at the Louver Museum have been arrested. According to
a Paris newspaper, police were alerted that one of the
men was about to leave the country and they caught
him as he was about to board a flight to Algeria.
A little while later, they arrested another man in Paris.
Now the men were already known to police. They've apparently

(00:21):
targeted jewelry stores and been part of theft rings in
the past, and they used DNA evidence collected at the
scene to track one of them down, including a piece
of hair that was left on one of the helmets
at the scene. They were apparently commissioned to commit the robbery,
and the eight pieces of jewelry they got away with
have not been recovered. The other two men are still

(00:44):
on the loose, and police moved the remaining precious jewelry
from that gallery in the Louver to a bank vault
to prevent any more thefts.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Probably a good idea. Did you see the guy who
went viral in the three piece suit and foot hat. Yeah,
he had the umbrella he was using as like a
walking stick. I mean it looked like he was straight
out of a nineteen fifties detective show or something like that,
and there were all these rumors online that he was

(01:13):
the lead investigator in the minute I saw that, I'm like,
this guy's going to crack the case. I mean, I
could see it happened.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
It was really strange.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah. But apparently an AP photographer who took the picture
of that guy, here's just some random dude just walking
down just walking down the street dressed like that, embarrassed
and went famous because of his look.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Former Vice president and failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris just
did an interview with the BBC and declared she is
not done.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Stories of your baby nieces, Amara and Leela. When are
they going to see a woman in charge in the
White House in their lifetime?

Speaker 1 (01:49):
For sure?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Could it be you? Possibly? Have you made a decision yet? No?
I have not.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
And then she was challenged over some poll numbers.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
When you look at the book, the odds, they put
you as an outsider, even behind Dwayne the Rock Johnson.
I mean, is that underestimating you?

Speaker 2 (02:09):
I think there are all kinds of polls that will
tell you a variety of things.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
I've never listened to Poles. If I listened to Poles,
I would have not run for my first office or
my second office.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Yeah, so it wasn't a very good interview on her part.
I mean she was definitely challenged on that and some
other things.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
What is she thinking? I don't know. She did rule
out running for governor California earlier this year, but it
sounds like she's keeping our options open for another run
for the White House. And then after all of that
made news, you had Governor Gavin Newsom in an interview
with CBS News. He said he'd be lying if he

(02:46):
wasn't thinking about a presidential bid. Well, of course, he's
been thinking about a presidential bid since he was like
five years old. I mean that's what he's been working towards.
So no surprise there. But then you've got you've got
Bernie Sanders, AOC and Zoe Rumm Donnie doing rallies together,
and honestly, they're becoming the face of the Democratic Party,
not Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsom.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Right, Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
It's gonna be an interesting couple of years. Ext and
form stay ahead. You were listening to the Ryan Gorman
Show this.

Trending story brought to you by Trajanwealth. Visit them at
trajanwealth dot com. So what is going on at Disney World?
Three people have died there over the last two weeks.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Now.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
We talked last week about the woman who jumped to
her death on the monorail tracks at the Contemporary Resort.
Then last Tuesday, there was a man in his sixties
who collapsed at the Fort Wilderness Resort and later died
at the hospital. Not sure what happened, but that sounds
like it was a medical issue. Then over the weekend,
guests were posting videos on TikTok showing a big police
presence again at the Contemporary Resort, with some saying they

(03:50):
were told by staff not to look out their windows,
which then of course made everyone run to go look
out the window. There was crime scene tapes around the fountain,
and guests say staff was trying to prevent people from
seeing what was going on. The Orange County Medical Examiner
confirmed someone had died, but there are no specifics about

(04:11):
what happened, So we don't know if this was an accident,
a medical issue, or another suicide. But you could see
the videos, you know, just kind of out in this
big courtyard and there were police and you know, crime
scene tape everywhere.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
And we just had that Disney super fan from Chicago
thirty one years old and she died by suicide at
the Contemporary, yep.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
So, and the Contemporary has kind of become a place
where people go, they'll take a room there and they
have a plan to take their own life.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
There for some reason. Yeah, there was a suicide there
last year involving a male guest. And then you have
these three deaths at Disney Worlds within the past less
than two weeks. And you add in the Disneyland death,
the Haunted Mansion ride out in California, and the death
of the guests at Epic Universe in Orlando. It just
seems like a lot of debts theme parks lately.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Absolutely, And then there was also a nowbody died. But
there was also video of the rock and roller coaster
at Universal on fire that I saw, oh couple of days. Yeah,
now that ride has been shut down, I think, but yeah,
it was on fire.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Unbelievable. I don't want to go on a theme parks.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yeah, it's so expensive. I don't go anymore.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
