USF has hired Ohio State offensive coordinator Brian Hartline as
its seventh head football coach. Hardline thirty nine years old,
former Buckeyes receiver, former Miami Dolphin. He replaces Alex Golesh,
who left for Auburn. Heartline is going to be formally
introduced after Saturday's Big Ten title game. So lots of

excitement for this hire. I was on a group text
that I didn't want to be part of, but somehow
I can't get out of it. Involving good show content. Yeah,
a bunch of my fraternity brothers from USF and they
were super excited about this, so much so that they
didn't shut up for like the entire day. I mean,
just tons and tons of tax. Look, he comes from

the top program in the country. You hope that he
can keep building on what Alex Golesh accomplish, And this
is what USF needs to do to take that next step.
They've got to play for and win a conference championship.
They've got to finish the season in the top twenty five.
They got to get that stadium built and hopefully that
will get them out of the Group of five and

into one of those power for conferences. The problem is,
you know, this isn't Miami Mario Crystabal. He's got that
program on the right track. He's not going anywhere. If
Heartline has a few good years, he's probably gone. That's
just the way it is. But I think if you're
a USF fan, that's something you sign up for. Like
Old Miss, they're furious right now that Lane Kiffin got

up and left and went to LSU. Now how it
all went down. I can understand their frustration. But if
you had told Old Miss a couple of years ago
that they were gonna have the success they've had under
Lane Kiffin and they're gonna have like their best season
ever and be in the college football player, you tell
me they wouldn't have signed up for that, even if
it meant losing their coach. When they experienced all that success, Like,

you take the success and then you just you know,
adjust and try to build on it. And I think
that's what USF is gonna have to do. It's like
anything else. And you know, you agree, Danaste, I agree
