Speaker 1 (00:00):
The co host and Pat and Aaron Show on ninety
five to three WU D A E. Aaron Jacobson is
with us before we get to football and the Bucks
and all of that.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
World Series. Game seven unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
That game had everything, benches cleared, You've got, you know,
incredible plays in the field, hits, home runs from guys
you wouldn't expect to be the heroes.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
And that was all before extra inning.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
I mean it was it was an incredible It was
going on forever. I was barely able to stay awake
for the end of it. But that was a really
good World Series.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
I did this thing where I fell asleep in like
the ninth and I woke up to all the craziness
and I did. I started going through Twitter, and I
was like, I acted like I was up for.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
The well again, this is incredible. After midnight, it was insane.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
I had to go back and watch it and then
I went, oh, my god, that was the one of
the greatest Game seven's ever. Yamamoto, who pitched if you
didn't know, he's had already pitched twelve in this series,
a complete game earlier in the series, and he had
just pitched the game before as a starter came in,
over one hundred pitches came in the net for two
plus innings of work late in that game. Like that
was an insane game. The Blue Jay should have won
(01:14):
that game seven different times.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
And and what I kept paying attention to as I'm
watching the game, I love looking at the people who
are sitting right behind home plate and you could just see,
like their face they were so excited early in the game,
and then you could see the nervousness as the game
kept progressing. And then once I think it was will
Will Smith, Yeah, he hit that game winning home run,
(01:38):
and you could just the life got sucked at all.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
I mean, let's say you know this, you growing up
a Mets fan, you understand that feeling. That's that's a feel,
lighting feeling. You're very familiar with that feelings. Yeel, that's
exactly what you saw. And they were in control. Blue
Jays in control the entire game. Toronto was ready to
explode multiple times. They had a chance multiple times to
walk that thing off a slide at home play, which
(02:01):
was by inches. They were inches away from winning the
World Series on a walk off a deep ball to
left field, inches away from from from doing that the
game ended on a double play with one out. If
they don't get grounded, the double play that runs scores.
It's a tie game there right back in it. This
game was nuts.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
It had everything, and two former Rays played a big
role for the Dodgers, Tyler Glass now and Blake Snows
right over that.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, and at the end they you know, I don't
know if you saw them celebrating together, like.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
You can't beat them, join them.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
It's like, stop, all right, yesterday, real quick, let's talk
a little NFL. We're joined by Aaron Jacobson from our
sports station, UH Bill's and Chiefs. That is very much
to me, like uh Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, per Patrick Mahomes,
Josh Allen. Doesn't matter if you're a fan of the teams,
(02:52):
it's must watch football battling.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Every time those two go against each other, it's a battle.
And then you throw Lamar Jackson when he's healthy in
the mix like you've got And I don't know who
the equivalent would be of that era, maybe Aaron Rodgers,
maybe maybe a little bit a little bit later, but
but that that's it right now. Those two is Josh
Allen and Patrick Mahomes and they every single game they
(03:17):
play each other.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
It's a battle.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Now the Bucks, they were on a buy and obviously
the hope is they can get as healthy as possible.
We know Mike Evans he's gonna be out until at
least January. But what about Godwin, Uh, Buka, You've got
Bucky Irving, getticky. You know, they've got a lot of
injuries here. How many of them are likely going to
be back when they resume on Sunday against the Patriots.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Hey, Buca is not himself, but he's back okay, but
he's hopefully that bye week for him, For him and Baker,
I think we're the biggest Yeah, the hamstring for him,
and and Baker was dealing with. We don't really know
what Baker's dealing with, but he's dealing with something.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah, he's been banged up. I mean, he's getting hit
pretty hard in some of.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
These games, definitely, and that's just what he does. So
we were hoping that he'll be He'll be fine. Bucky's
got to get back. Chris Godwin's the big question mark
because he's not on the injury reserve. So it tells
us that like he's gonna come back. At some point
we think, but.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
And this isn't the injury that he was out for
last season. It is a new injury.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
This is a new injury, new injury. It's it's it's
definitely troubling. And then Jalen mcmill and another receiver for
them is neck or neck. We had heard sprain neck,
and now we're hearing broken bones in the neck. So
I we're hearing we tend to get him back, you know, soon.
And I just don't see how that they say the
timeline is still the same. I don't know how with
broken bones in your neck. I know these guys are warriors,
(04:38):
but receiving corps is definitely taken a hit.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
They're gonna come back against a Patriots team beat the
Falcons in a close game yesterday. Once the Falcon's got
Michael Pennix Junior back, they certainly played better with him.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Patriots have really turned their season around and shows you
what a coach can do. Yeah, good coach Rabel comes in,
changes everything.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
I think they've won six in a row on the mistage.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Yeah, They've got Rake May perhaps the best young quarterback
in the league right now. So that's gonna be a
really tough test, even though it's a home game for
the Bucks. And then after that they got two other
tough games the Bills, who look fantastic against the Chiefs,
and then the Rams might be the best team in
the NFCIX.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Toughest stretch right now, toughest stretch they're gonna have is
going to be right now. And then you've got Cardinals, Saints, Falcons, Panthers, Dolphins, Panthers.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
But two of those last three games against the Panthers
might not be as easy as we thought. The Panthers
beat Green Bay yesterday. They're playing pretty well with one
of our former coaches, which one Liam Tulph Canal, Yeah,
Dave Canalis, Liam Cohens and Jacksonville.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
They got themselves a win yesterday too. Yeah, former coach
is doing good. A former Buccaneers offensive coordinators doing good
with their new head coaching roles. But yeah, the Panthers
are sneaky. I said it before the season. What look
out for them? They're five and four. They're better than
the Falcons right now, So they are. They are certainly
a sneaky team and a team to look out for.
And I think you're right if you let them get
too close. They might bite you at the end of
(05:57):
the year.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
