Speaker 1 (00:01):
Tricia's got a pretty lucrative side hustle in that she
has a lotto business and she is a professional television watcher.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
I don't get paid by either one of those side hustles.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
By the way, I saw your back, your back, you're
making up with the lotto. You broke up for the while.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
I broke up with the lotto for a little while. Man,
it always sucks me back in. It was an unexpected
It was like a lot of booty call, is what happened.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
It was unexpected. Out of the blue.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
You went and saw kai I did, they did, and
I got my lotto fixed and we.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Did not win. No, we didn't.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
We did not win again again. Disappointed, just getting tired
of not winning. Trisa, Aha, me too. I'm ready all right.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
TV shows that are coming back, some movies that are
getting sequels or part twos, whatever you call it. Trish's
pretty fired up. Last of US Season three, the last
of a season three.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
I think everybody knew that it was going to be
a season three because first and second seasons have been
such hits. However, they just announced we're not going to
get season three until twenty twenty seven. Oh wow, I
will definitely not remember everything.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
I will have to. They'll remind you.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Oh, you don't want to spoil it. I don't want
to spoil anything, so probably not. I'm not going to
spoil anything.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Another one that's coming back, and Tristill loves it. Kind
of a cult classic Practical Magic. Oh with Sandra Bullock
and Nicole Kidman.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
You're filming Practical Magic two is in filming mode right now.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
I'm so excited Sandra Bullock do anything for a while.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
No, she's just kind of laidlow. Remember her partner passed
away a couple of years ago.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Oh that's right, Louise.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
She has a little boy and a little girl that
she adopted. Yeah, so I think she's just been being
a mom.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Good for her. Also coming, I'll go see it. Uh
Doublewaar's Prada too. Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Here's a very clever way that they that Anne Hathaway
announced or let everybody know that she was filming in
the first Doublewaar's Prada. Her boss Miranda rips her to
shreds regarding a blue sweater she was wearing, like on
her first day of work, and she was and she
called it the Cerulian. She was like, that's not blue,
that's Cerulian and anyway ripped her about wearing this kind
(02:09):
of janky sweater, and so Anne Hathaway posted on social
media her brushing her teeth and leaning into the shot
wearing the Cerulius.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
That's how she let everybody know she's cute when she's
brushing her teeth. I'd like to see that video, Anne Hathaway.
I'm not going to send that to you. It's Annie,
by the way.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Oh, it's Annie to the people who know her. Tedso
four season four, Yes, because they made a sink that
season three was the end of it, and I was
so sad. Ted Lasso is one of those series that
I binged it watched all through the seasons, and when
it was over, I was sad and considered going right
back to season one and immediately watching it again.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
I did the same thing with Shit's Creek You Love.
I loved it. It is one of the most feel
good shows I have ever whin do you watch? Since
when do you watch feel good?
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Yeah? I watched that one part of you know, weisswater
running through my veins water, wece water. I think that
it keeps me, keeps me in the nice world and
doesn't let me completely go over to the dark side.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Good, good, good, keep watching and finally and I'll be excited.
I'm excited for the a. Tricia refuses to watch season
one of Mobland, but season two has been greenlit, which
I'm excited about that. I don't refuse to watch it.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
I'm just not the right headspace to jump into another
another series yet. Tom Hardy, I've been documentary girl lately.
Lately I'm smart, huh, I just I don't know. Had
a little hiccup right there, a little bubble, little hiccup,
like a hiccup.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Tom Hardy's my guy. Though you love him, you're a
little bit in love with him, marn'chi romance.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
No.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
I like him a lot. But he's made some turns too.
I've seen some couple of bad He played one movie.
He was an English gangster, had a twin brother, and
he played both parts. That never works right, that works,
had great clips and stuff, but as a movie overall,
I came remember the name, wasn't that good? But anyways,
A talented dude, yeah, very so much so. He She's Tricia.
My name is Sandy. Follow us on Instagram at The
(04:10):
Sandy Show Official more coming out on what O three
point one, Austin's eighties station and streaming on the iHeartRadio
app tomorrow morning. The JAB and Sandy Hour starts at seven.
Be listening from seven until eight o'clock. If you can't,
search JB and Sandy on the iHeartRadio app and listen
when you want. Trisia's got It sounds like an angry
(04:31):
story we love. I know it's not anger, it's I
just don't understand the way you teased us with it.
It sounds like you're sorry. Aggressive. Yeah, that's born for it.
It's coming up in just a moment. We've talked about
several times this morning. Ozzie Osborn passed away yesterday. It
was seventy six years old. Stories we Love live from
the Lesterhold Studio. Here's Tricia and Militia.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
So summer, just in the middle of summer, right, just
really getting going with it. But Starbeck says already announced
their return date for Pumpkin spice lattes.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Oh lord, and it's next month.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
It's August twenty sixth September, like twenty third, I think
is when fall starts. Oh okay, so I feel like
they're jumping again a little bit early. In addition to
the Pumpkin spice lattes, they're bringing back on August twenty six,
the Pumpkin Cream, cold Bruise, iced Pumpkin Cream Chies, pecan
crunch Oatmel lattes, and also bringing back their pecan oatmel
(05:29):
cortadoes and sausage egg bites which not metap those but cheese.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
The PSL is starting early, it is, but you know what,
I'm not afraid to say it. I'm comfortable in my manhood.
I like Pumpkin spice Season, I know.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
But it's not that we don't like it. It's that
it's not pumpkin spice Season.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
It's it's sorry. But it can always feel like oh no, no,
no no.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
I feel like that's the same reaction I had when
I was in I think Home Goods maybe they already
have Halloween and Christmas decorations out and.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Candies are out too, I've heard at the grocery store.
I don't know. I just saw a picture on a
friend of mine on Instagram that posted a first sighting
of Halloween candy, right.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
I just think that who buys Halloween candy and July
and still has it? I feel like, eventually, it's just
going to be year round Christmas decorations, Halloween and Thanksgiving
decorations PSL whenever you want, which then just makes it
no pumpkin space, which just makes it no fun. People
are saying though that they're loving this as people who
(06:31):
are celebrating summer ween.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Yeah, you're here to summer we Halloween. You know the
song I do, I do. I don't know who sings it,
but I know the song Rosby steals.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
In nash Yeah, I believe I just steals in Craft. Okay,
I'm gonna have to believe because I have no idea.
I just think it's too soon.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Yeah, less special. Yeah, it's a little little soon, and
so Thanksgiving it'll be right after that. Oh yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Our kid goes back to school in three weeks. Yeah,
three weeks, maybe even a little bit less. Yeah, she
next week already has something school related. She has to
go to a keep for next week?
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Is she gone all week? Just Monday through Friday? Light
nine two or something hanging in there? PSL season coming soon.
Austin's eighty station one oh three point one. All right.
I started listening to an audio book. It's called Chronicles
it's Bob Dylan's biography autobiography and it's pretty good actually,
(07:29):
but I was struck by the narrator of this. Okay,
and it's an a lister and I don't think I
don't think he's very good at this is what I'm saying. Okay,
he is a great actor. And when I say the
book is good, like the content of the book is good,
but this narrator, I just like, dude, did you even try?
(07:50):
And I'm gonna what do you got with? Is he
an actor or is he a singer? Actor?
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Then it's not who I need to hear it again
because it's not who I think it is.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Okay, listen to this and then Trisha will take her
guess is who it is? And then I'll tell you
who it is and you're probably gonna be surprised. Listen.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
They were pictures, and the pictures were worth more than
anything I could say. I could easily connect the pieces.
It meant nothing for me to rattle off things like
Columbus stockade, pastures of plenty brother in Korea. And if
I lose, let me lose.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Who do you think it is?
Speaker 2 (08:20):
I'm telling you I think it's John Cougar Mellencamp. Oh,
I think it's John Mellencamp.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
It's not John Mellencamp. I feel like I need to
be sure that's good. Guess though, right I could Now
that you say that, I could. Yeah, I can hear
it and see it. You know what I mean? Yeah? Yeah,
you know who that is? No who, it's my old
friend Sean Penn. What Yeah, that was Sean Penn. That's
Sean Penn. He's doing the narration right now. See now,
(08:47):
if I play it for you, you'll probably hear it, right, Okay,
And I am a big Sean Penn fan. I love him.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
He's doing this the exact way I feel like it is.
Other things like kind of didn't.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Care, like kind of do I have to do that?
I have to do it. I'm just going to read
it like I don't really care. Yeah, and again I
think he's a tremendous actor. I don't think he's very
good at this.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
They were pictures, and the pictures were worth more than
anything I could say. I could easily connect the pieces.
It meant nothing for me to rattle off things like
Columbus stockade, pastures of plenty brother in Korea and if
I lose, let me lose.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Yeah, I totally can hear Sean Penn.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
But I'm telling you, a tiny part of my brain
still thinks is John Mellencamp.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
It doesn't. Now, doing that kind of work is not easy.
I used to volunteer many many years ago. It was
called reading for the blind and you would read magazine articles.
You would read National Geographic and things like that. And
it's not easy to just sit down and read out loud, yeah,
and do it and not make mistakes. It's hard. It's
(09:50):
hard to do. I think it's probably easier for a
trained actor.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
Right.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
So you know the documentary series that was just out
that Tom Hanks narrated, The America. Yeah, yeah, the very
last episode, they did a behind the scenes on how
they filmed it, including his party, and they would have
him say the same sentence like five different ways.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
That's a little different when you're doing it to video
than it is just a plain old book, you know
what I mean, Like you try to match your voice
tonation with the video that they're showing the audience, right,
is just reading a book?
Speaker 2 (10:24):
But I mean yeah, but I'm just saying saying the
same sentence. Yeah, they'd be like, now put the emphasis
on this word. Now try it with this tone of voice,
now a little higher.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Like that's hard. I feel like that would be exhausting.
And I think he said, there's only so many ways
you can do this right, right, right, But anyway, the
book is called Chronicles, It's Bob Dylan's story. If you
are a Spotify Premium subscriber, it comes free with your
Spotify subscription. But you know, another great source for your
audio books is your public library.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Oh gosh, I know. My friend Sean got she was
she lives in Vietnam. She was in the States and
she got a public library card and just so she
can check out her books on tape as she said, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
It's free. Yeah, why not do it? So Sewan and Penn.
I don't know if he's a big fan of Bob
Dylan or what, or why I agreed to do it
for it was just a big giant check. Did you
see that?
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Yeah, could have just been as easy as the check.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Did you see the show that came out, The move
that came out with Timothy Shallaman.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
I haven't seen it yet. Somebody said it was really, really,
really good. I want to see that somebody had a
home run with a very simple birthday present that their
kid took to a birthday party. And we're going to
tell you what it is in just a seconment. Before
we get to that, our listeners need to know Tricia
is a really good gift giver. I love giving gifts,
really good at it. It's really good. You put some
(11:44):
thought into it, I do, and you think about it
all like I think all year long. You like, listen
and then you go, oh, that'll make a good guest.
I have a list on my phone of ideas, and
you have motivated me to become a better gift giver.
Oh good, nice. I only benefit from that, and I've
pretty good. Yeah with your alligator my alligator pillow, yeah,
(12:04):
which he's got. She had on high hends.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
She is wearing lipstick and fancy high heels. Yeah, I
don't know why. I love that pillows so much.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
And I gave you another gift recently that it was
a thoughtful gift. I can't remember. Wow.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
I was the gift that I said one time, I
love this, I want one so bad.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
It was my Hulcan bag. That's right, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
which is cool. I turned my sister onto that when
I saw her last week, and she's getting one too. Yeah,
that's the giant tote bag.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
It's a giant, really good, thick tote bag on wheels.
And literally I went to visit some friends for four
or five days last week and I just dropped my
stuff in. There was no packing in the different compartments.
I put my shoes on the bottom. My friend Word
already has one.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
You just kind of jump push it all in my
pillow fit in there. You zip it all up, you
roll it right out to car, and you just put
it in the back of your car. You can get
different sizes and you can fly with them, like the
Hulcan h U l k e N.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
That is amazing. I need a new trove. I need
new travel bag. Mine finally gave up. Yah, yeah, I broke,
finally broke. So anyway on the road to that, all right.
So this perfect gift for a kid's birthday party, tell
everybody what it is.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
So there's a writer for Slate magazine. She needed a
last second gift for her friend's birthday party, and she
didn't have to go pick anything out, so she bought
a kit kat bar and wrapped a twenty dollars bill
around it.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
Oh, perfect, worried.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
That it was gonna look like a lame gift. The
kid went nuts and yelled money and candy. And then
later that night the parents texted her and it was like,
he said that this is his most favorite gift he
got today.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Wow, a candy bar with money wrapped around it. She said,
it was that easy.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
So she wrote a whole piece on maybe we're overthinking
trying to find the perfect gift for kids, because really
they're very happy with money and candy bars.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
Yeah that's great because then go get whatever they get
more candy with the twenty dollars bill, right right.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
And the parents also were like, thanks, it's not another
toy that I'm going to trip on or have to
throw away or find a place to put.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Right. Yeah, good, that is great, great gift, real simple,
real simple. Thanks for being with us today, don't forget
follow us on Instagram at the Sandy Show Official. We've
got more coming up on Austin's eighties station one O
three point one and streaming at one O three to

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Just what we learned today, Well, today we learned that
the opposite of the word paranoia is called pro noya.
And here's what it means. The belief that everyone's involved
in a secret conspiracy to help you, to help you.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
I love that. That's pretty funny. I know I want
to have a little bit of pro noya.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Yeah, but I look at that it's a secret conspiracy
to help you.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Yeah, I think that's funny.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Another thing we learned Starbucks has decided to start Fall
early in the middle of summer. On August twenty sixth,
They're going to release all their pumpkin spice latte and
fall drinks, even though Fall doesn't officially start until September
twenty third. I just think it's jumping thin out a
little bit. I'm not I'm not a thumbs up on this.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
You're not. And for that reason, I'm out because.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
Soon, well, you know what, don't buy one. I'm not
going to you go buy one when you're ready to
buy buy one and September twenty third.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
But you know there's someone out there that's super fired
up that it's going to be early.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
I know, I feel like it's the summer ween people.
Summer we makes me feel fir the summer ween people
who are wanting to celebrate Halloween in the summer. And
I guess that's why the Halloween decorations are already out.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Maybe so I just feel like it's too soon. You guys,
we could put our big giant spider up.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Yeah, I still want to figure out a way to
hang it from the ceiling on the porch so that
it's over the door. I can't figure out how to
do that st foot spider, yes, real big. I mean,
I feel like it's terrifying. And finally we're going to
replay for Cocktail Guy.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Yeah, this is.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
One of my favorite things. We haven't played this in oil.
I forgot how funny it is.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
I know we don't get enough mileage out of this
right stuff, But this is just the guy pretending he's
pretending to be the man that invented fruit cocktail.
Speaker 5 (16:12):
Peirs, mealy peaches, slimy pineapples, plinty and half of one cherry.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
It's not enough. Half of one cherry. It's not enough.
It's more than enough. It's not more than enough, and
they will be thankful for it, for they do not
deserve it. So much anger around the fruit contail. I
had no idea, no case. Have a great day, everyone,
(16:42):
Thanks for spending time with us. We will do this
again tomorrow. Until then, don't take any crap from anybody.
The bugs are back in town.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
