Speaker 1 (00:00):
You are about to experience. The taxpayer relief shot segment
on the situation with Michael Brown. We do not necessarily
relish the death of any criminal, but we do celebrate
our god given and constitutional right to self defense in
the event that the criminal becomes DRT. The taxpayers spared
the cost of public defenders, court costs, incarceration, and continued
(00:23):
parole supervision. As the Sheriff of Santa Rosa County, Florida
says insert audio here, where Sheriff Grady of Polk County says,
insert audio here. You have been warned. Listen at your
own risks. Mike, Yeah, here we go.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
It's Friday, an this time where taxpayer relief shots. We
call any taxpayer relief shots primarily because gotta find it.
Here we go.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Somebody's breaking in your house here, more than welcome to
shoot them.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
In Santa's accounting, we prefer that you do.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
Actually, hopefully you'll save the taxpayers money.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
And one of my favorite PSAs about taxpayer relief shots
is this one.
Speaker 5 (01:07):
Hey, everyone, recently, lady called nine to one one here
in Panell County because someone was breaking into her house.
Speaker 6 (01:13):
There's some guy, he came to my door but he
went into my neighbor's house.
Speaker 5 (01:17):
This dispatcher gave excellent advice. I'd like you to take
a moment and listen to it. He came into my garage.
Speaker 6 (01:22):
He's trying to get my back door.
Speaker 7 (01:24):
Okay, lock your doors, keep them all locked.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Do you have a firearm with you?
Speaker 8 (01:28):
I do.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
He's in my garage.
Speaker 7 (01:30):
He's trying to get in.
Speaker 9 (01:31):
Go get that firearm.
Speaker 10 (01:32):
I have a gun off, can't you Leah, he's in
the garage.
Speaker 5 (01:38):
While the incident was still going on, sergeant was monitoring
the radio traffic and this is his direction that he gave.
Speaker 11 (01:45):
Advise that ourp if the subjects trying to get in
the house, they have the right to use force.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
I couldn't be more in agreement with what the direction
of my dispatcher gave and what the sergeant gave over
the radio. Remember, if you want personal protection, buy a gun,
learn how to use it, learn when you can you.
I'm sure for Ross Tepo and I approve of this message.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Now, just to give context, we want you to hear
from the Canadian Police Chief just Jim McSween, who has
an entirely opposite point of view about taxpayer relief shots
or what you should do when it comes to self defense.
I decided I want to play this every week because
(02:24):
I want to make sure that you understand that what
we do here may be offensive to some law enforcement officers,
but I don't give a rat's ass. And number two,
this is something that is a I know we've talked
about the Second Amendment a lot, but this is a
human right. This is a god given natural right of
(02:45):
self defense. This, y'all, who police chief up in Canada,
is full of you know what.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
In the unlikely event that you find yourself the victim
of a home invasion, we are urging citizens not to
take matters into their own hands.
Speaker 11 (02:58):
We urge you to call nine one more.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Want to do everything you can to keep yourself and
love one safe until police arrive, and be the best
witness possible. This could mean locking yourself in a room
away from the perpetrators, hiding, fleeing the home. But don't
engage unless absolutely necessary. As it stands, we know the
best defense for most people is to comply. As you've
(03:22):
just heard, a number of safety recommendations will allow for
those that are victimizing members in the community to leave
and not harm anyone. My advice is to try on
our place service called nine one one immediately and let
(03:43):
us take it from there. And we see, more often
than not, when people comply that, you know what, injuries
are not happening, and people are not victimized in terms
of injury or in this case, unfortunately, we've seen the
(04:03):
loss of life in some of these incidents.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Do you think he really believes that more often than
not it works out? Okay, Okay, Well, if it's a
life and death matter more often than not, is not
good enough for me. I wanted to be like, no,
I don't want to take those chances. Okay, here we go.
We'll start going through them again. I don't listen to
(04:26):
them until I play them, and I just go in
the order that they're presented. So we start with one man.
We're way behind. We got so many of them, which
is a good sign. Don't get me wrong. I think
it's a good sign when we have so many of them.
This goes all the way back to October tenth. Man

Speaker 16 (06:43):
That was it.
Speaker 10 (06:44):
Police say they were responding to a call from a
twenty seven year old woman nearby who said the man
was harassing her at her door. When they found him,
officers chased him a block and a half down East

Speaker 10 (07:14):
Neighbor Devin Mitchell didn't want to show his face, he says.
It took several minutes before the man's body was put
into a police car and taken to King's County Hospital,
where he died. Mitchell says he was known to the neighborhood.
Speaker 17 (07:25):
From the neighbors, you just know like he's not all there,
he's a little old.
Speaker 10 (07:28):
Police have not confirmed the relationship between the suspects and
the woman who called nine one one, adding that she
was working on getting a restraining order against him, but
neighbors say a woman with a child later arrived to
the scene crying.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
Came on the scene and said that was her baby father.
Speaker 18 (07:43):
The decease was.
Speaker 17 (07:45):
Her baby father.
Speaker 10 (07:46):
Police at this time have still not identified the suspects.

A man seen on camera charging at officers with a shovel,
shot and killed by police. We have that video tonight.
We do want to warn you you might find it
hard to watch. This all happened September fifteenth near North
Columbine Street. Police say they got calls about the man
at one point holding a brick and then holding a
(08:26):
broken shovel. When they arrived on the scene, they say
the man charged at officers with that shovel and then
started hitting the cruiser with it. Police say the man
then held the shovel above his head and started going
towards the officer, and that's when shots rang out, sit
(08:47):
out shot. The suspect has been identified as thirty six
year old Rudy Martinez. Police say he was unhoused and
appeared to be on drugs.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Oh, we warn you not to watch this video because
it's very graphic. The interpretation is, please watch this because
we need the rating.
Speaker 11 (09:11):
That guy truly dug his own graved me.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
He really, did you know you kill a woman? And
then well, I'd say that's that's another justice. Let's see
a suspect in handcuffs. Okay, I'm sorry I should I
didn't finish reading the rest of the title before I
started laughing out loud. Let's just say there's a suspect
(09:37):
in handcuffs.
Speaker 20 (09:39):
The in custody death investigation involving Tampa police. Good evening,
Welcome to Tampa Bay twenty eight News at five. I'm
Paul la Grol and.
Speaker 10 (09:46):
I'm Wauren Saint Germaine. Thanks for joining us.
Speaker 8 (09:48):
So this all happened Tuesday night in downtown Tampa and
you're Ashley Drive in Whiting Street. Investigators say police officers
were arresting the man for an armed burglary. Then they
say he tried to run away and off used a
taser on him, and then the man fell into the
road and was hit by a car or a Netgutiras
listened to investigators today to get an update on the case.
Speaker 20 (10:09):
And that also spoke with a legal expert about how
law enforcement will handle what has already considered to be
a complicated investigation.
Speaker 7 (10:17):
I met up with the law and safety expert who
weighed in on the in custody death that happened right
here around downtown Tampa. Authorities say it began with an
arrest and ended with a man getting ran over again.
Speaker 15 (10:29):
It was not the outcome that anybody wanted in.
Speaker 7 (10:31):
A press conference Wednesday, Tampa Police Chief Lee Burkhall says
it began around one Tuesday afternoon. There was an armed
burglary that happened near the one hundred block of South Havana.
According to Chief Burkhall, a suspect was in the driver's
seat and is reported to have taken a bag with
a gun in it. An alert was issued, and TPD
says they found a person of interest at the McDill
(10:51):
park on the River Walk. When officers asked for the
man's ID, he reportedly pulled out crack cocaine. TPD says
the officer arrested him on a narcotics charge and also
found a knife on the man as well. While talking
with the suspect, authorities say the suspect was making concerning
statements about not wanting to go back to jail.
Speaker 11 (11:11):
I'm so scared, bombs, I did nothing else on please.
Speaker 14 (11:14):
Please don't tink you come dep I just spent three thousand.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
Dollars, and about hurting himself.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Well, God, first, I don't deserve this car.
Speaker 14 (11:22):
I'm going to die tonight.
Speaker 7 (11:23):
That's when the suspect reportedly ran away and an officer
tased him. A card then reportedly struck and killed him.
Tpd's policy states when using a taser, quote, the environmental
factors needed to be taken into consideration to avoid quote,
serious injury. It also states that an officer should not
use a taser on a quote, handcuff subject unless exigent
(11:43):
aggravated circumstances exist.
Speaker 15 (11:45):
Right now, that somebody was suspected in an armed auto burglary,
they had already recovered a knife off of him, he
had made threats to harm himself and harm others, and
now he was escaping from police custody. So they're making
split seconds decisions out there to keep our community.
Speaker 6 (12:00):
Said that I have never heard of someone who is
handcuffed needing to be tased.
Speaker 7 (12:06):
Jeffrey Swartz has decades of legal experience as a prosecutor,
defense attorney, judge, and most recently a professor at Cooley
Law School.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
My experience tells me that the issue is going to
be whether it was excessive force to use a taser
from a distance while chasing someone knowing that person is
getting close to a street on which there may be traffic.
Speaker 7 (12:28):
He says, the department should prepare for the legal ramifications
that could.
Speaker 6 (12:31):
Come this particular person had not committed a violent crime
as far as we know, and even if it was,
they had him in custody. This was not an attempt
to put someone into custody. He was in custody, he
was handcuffed. The negligence that the police department's going to
have is how did he manage to be in a
position to run away.
Speaker 7 (12:50):
Chief Berkhof says none of the officers involved have a
history of use of force discipline, and all four of
them are under administrative review per protocol, and FDL is
taking over the in custody death investigation reporting in Tampa.
I'm Acucira's Tampa Bay twenty eight.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Well, what are they supposed to do? Put him in
leg irons? I guess they could have put him in
the in the back of the squad car and close
the door. But once he started running, and he's in handcuffs,
and he's running toward the highway, the freeway, the street, whatever,
and there's traffic, it would seem reasonable at that point
to try to tasee him to stop him. I mean,
(13:29):
I'm sure they were running and chasing him at the
same time, but I just I'm sorry. I found that
kind of funny that you're in handcuffs and you're trying
to flee the cops and you run into traffic and boom.
Speaker 11 (13:40):
After you pull out crack cocaine.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Care, we see your ideas? How about this else by
the crack good grief? Nobody Jesse, nobody said these people
were smart.
Speaker 11 (13:52):
Could happen anybody?
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Yeah, just you know, you never know, you get stopped,
you're gonna pull out that crack cocaine, that family, you know,
anybody exactly? I see a suspect shoots mooms two State troopers.
Speaker 16 (14:05):
Where we just learned that two State troopers were shot
following a chase.
Speaker 21 (14:09):
Now, we also just learned that the suspect, a man,
was killed in the shootout. News's ckenna Alexander joins us
live now from where that chase ended with what else
we're learning McKenna.
Speaker 22 (14:20):
Yeah, Jerry Laurie, we just got this updated information minutes ago,
and we've learned that around six eleven pm this evening,
State troopers were called to a DICKT Sporting Good for
a retail theft. Whenever they got their suspects drove away
heading toward I eighty one. Now, whenever troopers found that vehicle,
they deployed spike strips and they stopped the vehicle on
(14:40):
eighty one at exit three. Whenever that car did come
to a stop, Now, apparently two female suspects got out
of the car and replaced in custody. However, a man
began shooting at troopers, hitting two of them. Those troopers
shot back and killed the man. Now, both troopers were
flown to well Spanior Hospital and right now they're in
critical and serious condition. Now the names of the victims
(15:02):
have not been released at this time, but more information
is expected to come out soon. For now, Live in
Franklin County, mckin Alexander, w Jail News eight.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Yeah, shoot a trooper pretty bad when the suspect fires
at the popo.
Speaker 23 (15:18):
Got some breaking news coming out of Galveston to share
with you, as suspect is dead after he got into
a shootout with officers just a little while ago this morning.
We are told this started as a high speed chase
in Hitchcock just after four am. That suspect led police
all the way to Pelican Island, where he ran into
a dead end at Seawolf Park where several people were
(15:39):
already there. Police say the suspect got out of his
car and opened fire on officers. Police returned fire, shooting
that suspect in the chest. The suspect died at the
hospital around six point thirty this morning. No officers were hurt.
The Texas Rangers are now investigating that shooting.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Did you hear the co anchor go, hmmm, yeah, what
was that about.
Speaker 11 (16:02):
I don't know. I've been to.
Speaker 24 (16:03):
Hitchcock, Texas. That place is terrifying, is it really? It's
like twenty miles north of Galveston. It's wild place.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Like just as you come off the bridge.
Speaker 24 (16:12):
Yeah, between Houston and Galveston, right towards the Galveston side,
but then you go across the bridge, you go across
the bridge to the Galveston to Galveston. It's there, but
that's where all the canals are to get into West
Galveston and all that.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Yeah, all right, I've been to that part of Galveston.
I see a woman points a fake gun at the
Popo stupid.
Speaker 25 (16:36):
A woman is killed in a shooting involving also police.
It happened last night near one hundred and twenty fourth
and Ciso, near ber Oak Cemetery. Police say a woman
called nine to one one and said she was being
chased by an active shooter. While officers were on the way,
they say the woman called several more times, saying she
had just killed a cop. Once police found her, they
(16:58):
say she took off, running herned and pointed a gun
at officers. One officer fired their weapon, hitting the woman.
The department has contact to state police to investigate.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
I think we might have a crazy woman there, just
speculating might be crazy. Let's see those what I got
a minute? What do you want to talk about? Because
this is an award winner, this is a seventy one
year old fart that well, let's just say, don't miss with,
don't mess around seventy one year old farts. I'm doubled.
(17:29):
You haven't had told me yet.
Speaker 11 (17:31):
You're doing great, see.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
I I'm just trying to just well, no, it's that
you bring a higher standard of production value to the program.
That goober, that redbeard guy who's just taking a Friday
mental health day, he says he was you know, he
was doing that fakem I throws hurt stuff. You know. No,
(17:53):
he's yeah, on my phone's ringing. Now, I wonder who
that is. That's by continue after this.
Speaker 26 (18:03):
Like one of those situations where using your phone to
film an event isn't exactly smart. It might get you killed.
Speaker 27 (18:14):
Michael, I'm glad you keep playing this. Meadi mouthed, fool
up in Canada, because man talk about getting wrong. We
need to be reminded that that's probably where we're headed,
if we're not already there.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Yeah, I mean, that's exactly why I play it, because
it's such it's such an antithesis to what we believe
in and what we advocate here when we do taxpayer
relief shots the other you know, I begged and begged
and begged for a Colorado sheriff to do something like
what Sheriff Grady does. I finally got, Actually I didn't.
I have to give credit to Ryan. Ryan finally got
(18:49):
Sheriff Reems to do one, and this is.
Speaker 17 (18:51):
His This is Well County Sheriff Steve Reams. And I
want to encourage the people of Colorado to remember you
still have the right to defend yourself, no matter how
much of a mess state has become. While the Democrats
and the legislature and the governor of the state have
created as many barriers as they can to make it
difficult for you to own and carry a gun for
your protection. You still have your Second Amendment rights. The
Democrat controlled legislature and Governor Polis also tell us that
(19:14):
crime isn't out of control, but we all know that's
not true in Weld County. I encourage every citizen to
have an investment in their own safety. You should own
a gun and know how to use it. If someone
wants to break into your home and threaten your family,
they should meet the serious end of a firearm. The
best way to end the spread of crime is to
ensure the criminal is no longer part of the equation.
As the Sheriff of Weald County, remember this. We love
(19:35):
our guns in Weld County and we don't like criminals.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Yeah, we don't like criminals. This is an award winner.
Seventy one year old man shoots and kills a guy
trying to.
Speaker 12 (19:47):
Good evening. I'm Sharon Taswell and I'm Sean Roney.
Speaker 11 (19:49):
Thanks for joining us.
Speaker 27 (19:50):
A seventy one year old man says he was just
trying to protect.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
His wife when he shot and killed a man at
his home in Wilton.
Speaker 19 (19:56):
Paul Morgan says a man was trying to break into
his home, and he warned he was.
Speaker 10 (19:59):
Going just shoot.
Speaker 19 (20:00):
New at six CBS North Carolina's Amy Cutler talked to
Morgan and has more.
Speaker 10 (20:06):
This is the Wilson home where it happened.
Speaker 28 (20:08):
You can see the two bullet holes where Paul Morgan fired.
And he said he did it to protect himself and
his wife.
Speaker 29 (20:14):
I figured somebody would come in and try to kill
him and said me and my wife, and I just
I just had to do what I had to do it.
Speaker 28 (20:21):
Seventy one year old Paul Morgan talking about that terrifying
encounter early this morning, when he says a man was
trying to break into his Wilson Holl pull.
Speaker 29 (20:31):
That door with muck and when they got the doolo,
they start kicking it dough there, kicking the kicking that
wood door there and kept kicking.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
Morgan said, wait a minute, we got to back up.
I like this guy. I like this guy, Wilson Hall.
Speaker 29 (20:46):
Pull that muck and when they got the doolo, they
start kicking it dough there, kicking the kicking that wood
door there and kept kicking.
Speaker 28 (20:54):
Morgan says when he heard that kicking, his wife called
nine one one and he grabbed his gun I got my.
Speaker 29 (21:00):
Gun, went to the nude and I got right near
to the hall and I told him hold it, hold it,
hold it, hold and he kept right on kicking it.
Speaker 28 (21:06):
That's when Morgan says, he fired two shots and the
kicking stopped.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
He and his.
Speaker 11 (21:13):
Knocked on the wrong dose.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
It's just like that report anchor at fired two shots
and the kicking stopped. Yep, that's all you need to knocking,
No mold, no need to play the rest of this
sound bite. That's that's good enough. Right there, fired two
shots and the kicking stopped.
Speaker 28 (21:31):
It didn't go outside. Rather, they waited for police authority,
saying the alleged burglar was rushed to the hospital where
he died. Morgan telling me he didn't mean to kill
the guy. He just wanted to scare him off. And
to those who think he should have waited and not fired,
Morgan had this to say.
Speaker 29 (21:48):
And I couldn't wait, and I didn't know if that
doe would have popped over, and they come in and
killed me, and I'm waiting for the.
Speaker 30 (21:55):
Police to get in.
Speaker 28 (21:56):
Wilson police are now investigating. They have not identified that
would be thief, but they're asking anyone with information on
the incident to give them a call in Wilson. Now,
Amy Cutler, CBS North Carolina.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
That guy's exactly right. You want me to wait until
he kicked in the door? Came Beryl's blazing as he
came in. You know, no, I'm not gonna wait. You
know I might end up dead right there. DRT. That's
pretty dangs. That was a very good thanks by relief shot.
Let's see, let's get to homeowner shoot say, here we
(22:30):
go again, Here we go again.
Speaker 31 (22:33):
Breaking news. Now, police are still investigating a deadly home
invasion in South Nashville where homeowner shot and killed a
man he says was breaking into his home. Kimberly Davis
is live at the scene and Kimberly is the homeowner.
Speaker 14 (22:45):
All right, Amy, good morning.
Speaker 18 (22:47):
The homeowner is okay, and police tell us that they
were responding to a robbery and instead of finding stolen items,
they found a body once they arrived to the scene. Now,
what we know so far is that officers responded to
a home on the fifteen thousand block of Old Hickory
Boulevard in Nashville. Once they got here, they did find
(23:07):
that body. The homeowner is telling police that when he
was walking around around eleven thirty last night, he found
an intruder inside his home. He knew he wasn't supposed
to be there, so that's when he shot and killed
that man. Noun. Police are telling me this morning that
so far this investigation is still ongoing. They still are
working on positively identifying who that intruder is. Once they
(23:33):
handle this part of the investigation, they will be turning
it over to the District Attorney's office. And we're also
told at this hour they are not sure if the
homeowner will or will not receive any charges. It is
still all very ongoing, and once they continue their investigation,
they will make that decision whether or not the homeowner
will be charged. We will continue to follow this story
(23:55):
and bring you the latest information as soon as it
becomes available. For now, we are live in Nashville, Kimberly
Davis News Channel five.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Stop breaking into people's.
Speaker 11 (24:05):
Homes, especially on Old Hickory Boulevard. Apparently that's right.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Let's see three. This is another award winner. Three home
invaders enter a house.
Speaker 32 (24:18):
In Granada Hills. That's where there's been another home invasion,
but this time the victim fought back. Police A force aspects.
They entered the home early this morning, but only three
left after the homeowners shot and killed one of the
would be Roberts.
Speaker 11 (24:33):
Now let's go to Chris Wolf.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
That's pretty good too. It says three homeowners, three home invaders.
Then she says four, but well one didn't.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Leave, so he's live in Northridge tonight where that investigation
is underway.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Chris Yeah.
Speaker 33 (24:50):
Rick Kareem, the LAPD's Devonshire station is handling this case.
One thing is very clear.
Speaker 30 (24:58):
People are fed up.
Speaker 33 (25:00):
Many believe the criminal justice system in Southern California is
failing them. They are defending themselves and turning the tables
on criminals.
Speaker 30 (25:12):
With the seemingly endless violent crime wave plaguing Southern California, homeowners,
would be victims are increasingly fighting back. Investigators say around
five a m. Saturday morning, three men wearing dark clothing, hoodies,
and masks broke into a home on Swinton Avenue in
Granada Hills with the intention of committing a robbery. The homeowner,
(25:35):
a grandmother, and toddler were inside. Fearing for his life,
the victim grabbed a handgun and fired multiple times on
the intruders, fatally striking one of them. The two others scattered,
and police believe at least one of them was injured
because authorities discovered a trail of blood in the neighborhood.
The getaway car, a black BMW Sedan, was left at
(25:58):
the scene. Video for the scene shows at least two
men being handcuffed, but details are unclear. Police say they
detained the resident involved in the shooting for questioning before
paramedics examined him.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Our investigation will continue at this point.
Speaker 13 (26:14):
But anyone that's inside of their residence that is faced
with a deadly threat and it is perceived as a
deadly threat, has the right to protect themselves.
Speaker 33 (26:21):
Some neighbors who spoke to us do not want to
be identified.
Speaker 34 (26:25):
But the suspect's mess with the wrong homeowner, you know,
so hopefully this will stop them or something that makes
me feel good of that people actually protect their home
and you know, they're able to protect their home and
stop these guys we've been having.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
I have some little cognitive this is this is going on
right now. This is California. This is California.
Speaker 13 (26:45):
Burglaries every day in this neighborhood, So I'm not surprised.
I'm not surprised at all this has happened. It's been
a real problem here and the residents here are fed up.
Speaker 30 (26:57):
Just days earlier, a young husband and father in Granada
Hills returned home from Christmas shopping to find several gunmen
leaving his house with stolen items. He tried to chase
them down.
Speaker 14 (27:10):
If you try to ram that.
Speaker 30 (27:11):
Vehicle, yes, I did, like two or three times.
Speaker 33 (27:14):
And about two weeks before that, also in Granada Hills,
George Lozano Junior grabbed his gun and chased off several
hooded figures who were closing in on his property, all
captured on security footage. It's unclear if all of these
crimes were committed by the same people. Anyone with information
(27:36):
should contact the LAPD reporting live in Northridge. I'm Chris
Wolfe KTLA five news.
Speaker 11 (27:43):
All right, willfee thank you for that.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Actually I've got a slight disagreement her at the end.
I think anyone with information or concerned about this, I'll
a call Governor Gavin Newsom. That's what they really should do. Dang,
that was an excellent, excellent I wow, California. I didn't
see that one coming. Another award winner, thug leaving him
(28:06):
meeting with this parle officer. Did you put these in
the system? Where did Dragon? Already?
Speaker 11 (28:15):
Dragon did it?
Speaker 2 (28:16):
So you you haven't really read these titles yet.
Speaker 11 (28:18):
I haven't seen any of them.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
Thug leaving a meeting with his parole officer shot and
killed by another thug meeting adjourned.
Speaker 17 (28:32):

Speaker 2 (28:37):

Speaker 11 (28:39):
Okay, sorry, Double click, Michael, double click.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Thank you.
Speaker 23 (28:45):
Well.
Speaker 16 (28:45):
We begin tonight with a developing story out of the Bronx,
where a search is now on for a gunman who
shot and killed a man just moments after he left
a meeting with his parole officer at his news report
of Josh Ettinger live on the scene in Modhaven tonight, Josh.
Speaker 14 (29:00):
And Mike the MIPD crime scene unitially working well into
the night gathering evidence here on the scene of this
apparent execution of a twenty seven year old man in
the late afternoon, Detectives now trying to figure out why.
With the scene tonight under control, the work of the
crime scene unit seemed eerily calm compared to the chaos
(29:22):
here hours earlier. Radio transmissions, a panicked parole officer was
fighting back crowds on the street as she frantically called
for an ambulance after a shooting, and a police dispatcher
struggled to make sense of it all.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
I'm going to pause there simply because this was longer
than I thought, and we're passed due for a break.
So there's the teas for you, the taxed by Relief shots.
This is the award winner again.
Speaker 16 (29:54):

Speaker 2 (30:49):
All sh shut.
Speaker 12 (31:01):
Houses on the way.
Speaker 9 (31:02):
People were getting close and they were like back up,
back up, you know, with their guns out.
Speaker 14 (31:06):
It all unfolded right in front of Clarissa Aliedo after
the shooting of a twenty seven year old man while
he left a scheduled meeting with his parole officer at
a state parole office here in Mott Haven. Minutes earlier.
She'd already called police when she saw a group of
men approaching the office and just knew something wasn't right.
Speaker 9 (31:26):
I saw masks, ski mask coverings, so and I heard like.
Speaker 14 (31:32):
Move move yo, yo.
Speaker 9 (31:34):
When you hear that, you know the activity. You know
what's going on, What's gonna happen.
Speaker 14 (31:37):
Cops say the men made a bee line for the
parole shooting him multiple times. He died at the hospital.
It happened in the middle of the recently gentrified moth
Haven section of the South Bronx, where neighbors say the
parole office has been a magnet for crime.
Speaker 10 (31:52):
We've been talking with the state about getting the parole.
Speaker 9 (31:56):
They have a ten year lease here about getting this
parole office located. People know when a releasey is going
to see their parole officer, right, and that's the time
that they try to maximize and attack. And then the
people around are the people who were caught, unfortunately in
the mix.
Speaker 14 (32:18):
And we did ask the office, the state office that
controls the parole system for comment on those comments about
its office here in the South Bronx, but it referred
all calls to the NYPD, which is in the middle
of investigating this homicide. The victim in this case has
not been publicly identified. Police are right now looking for
three people who fled the scene. I'm allowed on the
(32:39):
mod Haven section of the Bronx tonight. Josh Einicker Channel
seven High Witness News.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
It's pretty smart sees all the people starting to gather
around and come up. She knew there was trouble. She
knew there was trouble coming. So what we got by
Jesse with just one double clicks, that wasn't too bad.
Speaker 11 (32:55):
I'll take it.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
And you didn't really screw up as badly as everybody
kept telling me you would, So that was you knows.
Speaker 11 (33:01):
I'll take that as well. All right, Now, it's fun
as always
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Exactly join me tomorrow at ten for the Weekend of
Michael Brown
