Speaker 1 (00:00):
Michael, the facts are that men are from Mars, women
are from Venus, and all the other sexes are from youranus.
I heard a great or saw a great meme or
a statement about and I don't follow up on the
talk back real quickly something about how is it that

(00:27):
gender or your your genitalia does not determine whether you
are male or female, but the removal of your genitalia,
like you know, neutering a dog, affirms your gender because

(00:48):
you you know you. It's just total screwball, totally screwball.
So there's an elephant in the room that we've not
talked about today. Matt Gates. Yesterday, I'm driving back from
a lunch meeting and I'm trying to talk on the

(01:11):
phone and then I'm hanging up. I mean, just phone
calls back and forth. So I'm catching a little bit
of news in between phone calls. I keep hearing something
about this appointment of Gates, and I'm hearing Gates as
in g g a t e s like in Bill Gates.
But no one's saying what the appointment was or what

(01:34):
I got to quit using the word appointment the nomination,
because what Trump's doing right now is he is nominating
those who require Senate confirmation, like Defense, well, the cabinet,
and he's appointing those that will serve without Senate confirmation,

(01:56):
like his chief of staff, the National Security Advisor, the
whole Land Security Advisor, the well, No, the d and
I will require Senate confirmation, but otherwise, so there's a
difference between appointments and nominations. Matt Gates, Congressman from Florida.

(02:18):
I'm shocked by this announcement and I don't know what
to think about it. I'm just telling you, Truy, I
don't know what to think about it. I don't know
anything about Matt Gates's legal career, his professional career. I
don't I couldn't even tell you, and I deliberately did
not look because I wanted to come in today and

(02:40):
tell you and be able to tell you truthfully. Here's
what I know about Matt Gates. He's a congressman from Florida.
I have vilified him on this program because regardless of
what you thought of Kevin McCarthy, doesn't Kevin mc arthy

(03:01):
it He's immaterial to the point that I made about
Matt Gates finding a motion to vacate the chair in
order to remove Kevin McCarthy and not have any plan
in place whatsoever about what to do afterwards. So it

(03:23):
left the House of Representatives at a time when we
barely had a majority, in complete and utter chaos. So
that for all of us who want the House to
do things like rollback regulations and lower taxes and you know,
cut back on spending, they couldn't do anything. And that
was squarely the fault to Matt Gates. So I know that.

(03:47):
The second thing I know is that he is under
a House Ethics Committee investigation, and the House Ethics investigation,
if it is true or if it is proven, then
he's got some serious ethical issues. And if and depending

(04:10):
on what the evidence shows, he may have some very
serious legal issues. So I want to give you first well,
I want to give you a montage of different reactions
from different people regarding his nomination to be the Attorney

(04:30):
General of the United States of America. I will tell
you that from from these quarters, I was shocked. Now,
I didn't really have any idea who Trump might be considering,

(04:50):
but of the entire universe of people who are qualified
to be the next Attorney General of the United States
of America, and that will go in and clean up
the department itself, including the FBI, and revealed to the

(05:10):
American public the corruption that's taken place inside DOJ and
the FBI. I would not have thought Matt Gates would
have been on the top ten list. In fact, I
would not have thought that Matt Gates would have on
the list whatsoever. There are a lot of lawyers, some

(05:34):
with political experience, some without political experience, some from huge
law firms that know how to maneuver politically and managerially
that would be able to clean up DOJ and FBI.
And there are lawyers front there. There are attorney generals.

(05:56):
The Attorney General of Missouri would have been I think
a fantastic selection. He has won numerous lawsuits against the
Biden Harris administration and has done Yeomen's work. Some of
mentioned Keim Paxton, the Attorney General of Texas. Ken Paxton
has had his own problems, including an impeachment that failed,

(06:17):
and people in Texas love and hate Kem. Paxton. So
but there was there was an option. Matt Gates, I
just don't think was on anybody's Bengo Card's just take
a listen to a few of the comments that we've
heard so far on the news. First Centator Lindsey.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Graham, Well, not only does he deserve a chance to
be heard. Every president deserves a chance to pick their cabinet.
Elections do matter. When I say elections have consequences and
I vote for Democratic nominees that I would not have chosen,
I am some kind of great statesman. When I apply

(07:02):
that same standard to a Republican president, I'm somehow a lackey.
I am telling you exactly what I'm going to do.
I did it for Bush, I did it for Obama,
I did it for Biden, and I'm going to do
it for President Trump. He won the election.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
He deserves a.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Chance to pick his cabinet. I am predisposed to allow
him to do that. I think Matt Matt Gates is
very bright.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
I think he's qualified.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
He'll have a hearing and he'll have some tough questions
to answer. But to every Republican, please follow a process
to give President Trump the ability to pick the people
he thinks can do the job and give Matt a chance.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
You have a history of that, and I have an
agree with Lindsey Graham on this. You need to follow
the process. Hold the hearing. Don't prejudge and see what
comes out in the hearing, because there's a lot of

(08:05):
stuff good and bad that will come out of a
confirmation hearing. In fact, it will be interesting because Matt
Gates has now resigned from Congress. I'll explain why that's
important in just a second, says to Mark Wwayne Mullen

(08:25):
had this to say this morning.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
You know Matt Gates, and either's no question that we've
had our differences. They've been very public about it. I
completely trust President Trump's decision making on this one. But
at the same time, he's got to come to Congress
and sell and sell. There's a lot of or to
the Senate and sell and sell. There's a lot of
questions that are going to be out there. He's got
to answer those questions and hopefully he's able to answer

(08:50):
the questions right. And if he can, then we'll we'll
go through the confirmation process.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
So there's the junior senator from Oklahoma, a state where
all seventy seven counties voted for Donald Trump. Then you
have John Fetterman, this is from Fox News, being Pickedford
Attorney General. Here's what John Fetterman had to say. Watch

(09:16):
it's just nothing patrolling.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
And you know that even that the Republicans know who
he is, and and it's again we all know what
you know, the Democrats that's going to be. That's when
that's where the interesting, you know, the interesting answers are
going to come from my colleagues on the GOP that
are going to vote or justify voting for that mess.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
I mean, he's right on one thing, Treshield.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Some Republicans are saying it's going to be a very
tough confirmation process.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
And I think it is going to be a tough
confirmation process. I think it's gonna be a tough confirmation
process because Matt Gates comes with some baggage. Here's my
concern now, and this is this will play itself out.
So I'm not I'm not pre judging one way or
the other because what comes out is going to be

(10:02):
the determining factor. I believe in whether or not he
can get a majority. In fact, he's going to need
more than a majority of the Republican Senators to confirm
him as the attorney general. And that is that Gates
is facing serious ethic charges, which is why I believe

(10:26):
that he resigned from Congress. There was no reason for
him to resign from Congress before the next Congress convenes,
except that the House Ethics Committee is about to release
its report. So here's what Ben Dominic writes about Matt Gates.

(10:48):
I realize that we are occasionally given to hyperbole about
the untoward nature of politicians, but let me be clear,
He writes, Matt Gates is a sex trafficking, drug addicted
piece of feces. Is abhorrent. His eyes are permanently rimmed
with the red rings of chemical boosters. In person, he
smells like overexposed axe, body spray and stale astroglide. You

(11:11):
can read into that whatever you want to. He continues.
The fact that he boasted on the floor to multiple
colleagues in the House of his methods of crushing viagra
and high test red bull to maintain his erection through
his orgiastic evenings is perhaps the least offensive of his
many crimes against womanhood and Christianity. The man has less

(11:34):
principles than your average fentyl addict addicted hobo. He likes
him under age, and he's not ashamed about it. Matt
Gates isn't just your average extreme Florida mega man. He's
a hypocritical ass with the worst botox money can buy,
pursuing an ever thinner nose and higher cheek bones at
every opportunity like a real housewife gone mad. Fulfillers. Every

(11:55):
Republican in Washington, he writes, has an opinion about Matt Gates,
and ninety nine percent of those opinions are keep mac
Gates away from my wife, daughter, friend, and anybody I
care about close quote Ben continues, he is a walking
genital wartz included as a bonus. If I was merely

(12:15):
attempting to count the number of women I know who
have had bad experience with Matt Gates, I would run
out of fingers and toes. If you vote for him
to be the Attorney General of the United States, you
don't just need your head examined, you need to be
committed to a middle institution. The man is absolutely vile.
There are pools of vomit with more to offer the
earth than this std riddled testament to the failure of

(12:37):
fallen masculinity. And then he writes, let's just deal with
the facts. Did Matt Gates transport an underage women across
state lines with the stated intent of having sex with
him and his friends. Yes. Did he later claim to
Tucker Carlson that this woman did not exist? Yes? Did
this conflict with the fact that one of Mack Gates's

(12:59):
closest friend UNS was convicted of having sex with that
underage women for pay. Yes, Our Gates and his orgy
friends attempting to destroy the records, images, videos, et cetera
from the sex party to protect his political future. Yes.
Does this matter to Republicans who can say that's his opinion,

(13:23):
but here are facts. Gates's resignation from Congress comes two
days before the House Ethics Committee was set to vote
on releasing a highly damaging report outlining its investigation into him.

(13:44):
According to multiple sources with the probe, the committee planned
to vote tomorrow on releasing the report. Ethics loses its
jurisdiction over Gates when he leaves Congress. The secretive panel
has been investigating Gates on and off since twenty twenty one.
President Trump announced that he would nominate Gaugs to be

(14:05):
Attorney general yesterday. How are they going to deal with this?
So Dragon and I are talking about this before the
program this morning. Here's what I want you to know.
About his resignation from Congress. If now this is a

(14:26):
big if. This is why I haven't formed an opinion yet,
because we don't have the facts. If the House Ethics
Committee has evidence of his not just sexual improprieties, but
let's say sexual criminal violations, then in my opinion, that

(14:49):
disqualifies him from being the Attorney General of the United
States of America. If the House votes on Friday, the
committee votes to release that information, that's going to cause
a tsunami of conflicting reports, innuendo, hyperbole, some facts sprinkled

(15:13):
in here or there about what activities he actually engaged in.
But it raises the specter of a US attorney, even
albeit even a Democrat US attorney that if, and again emphasize,
if there is evidence of sexual criminal activity, then Gates

(15:38):
should withdraw his name from consideration. If there is not,
then he should go forward with the hearing, the confirmation hearing,
and answer the senator's questions. Because I agree with Lindsey Graham,
Trump is entitled to his choices. An absence sum disqualifying

(16:03):
factor like evidence that you've engaged in illegal sexual activity,
then Trump should get his nominee a hearing, and Senators
should consider all the evidence, good and bad about whether
or not he ought to be confirmed. Am I surprised

(16:23):
by this nomination. No, I'm shocked by it, Absolutely shocked
by it. This isn't a Pete Hegesa's, this isn't a
Tulci Gabbard. This certainly isn't a Mike Huckabee or Marco Rubio.
This is completely off the charts, and it puts US

(16:45):
in unknown territory, unknown territory that could create a problem
for the President elect. I don't know why. I don't
think it's for us to know what Trump is entitled
to his choices. Now it's going to fall to Gates,

(17:08):
It's going to fall to the House Ethics Committee, and
may or may not fall to a US attorney or
the US Senate about whether he gets confirmed. What I
want you to do is to be prepared for a
fiefy storm to start now.

Speaker 6 (17:31):

That's b A r T E s I a n
dot com slash cocktail.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
You're all.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
Good morning, Michael. I was going to just say that
the fact that Gates is being investigated and has been
investigated for a while, doesn't mean a damn thing, as
evidenced by Donald Trump's history with investigations. I love your show.
I'll try to listen to it every day if I can.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
And that's why I point out that we don't know anything,
and we're not I don't know anything until the committee's
report is released, but my current objection to Gates, and

(19:20):
I reserve the right to amend my objection or even
do away with my objection depending on how he comports
himself in the hearing, because he's going to get a
lot of tough questions, a lot of really serious, serious questions,
including about how do you intend to reform what are

(19:42):
you going to do with DJ what are you going
to do with the FBI? Because I believe I believe
this more than anything else in terms of what needs
to be done to get the federal government of control.
I mean regulations and the deep state and all of that, Yes,
but the reform of the Department of Justice, the reform

(20:02):
of the FBI, reform of the Internal Revenue Service, and
the elimination of those eighty six thousand agents. That's going
to have a greater impact on people's lives than almost
anything else, because it goes to the very heart of
whether or not we can survive as a constitutional republic.
If we don't have the rule of law, and if

(20:25):
lady justices scales are tipped in one direction or another,
and there's not equal justice under the law, then we
don't exist. We're no better than any two bet country.
So this will be a real test, and it's going
to be incumbent upon you know. The other thing that

(20:48):
bugs me, just from personal experience in DC, is the resignation.
There was no need to resign because whether the House
Ethics Committee report finds no cause or they do find

(21:09):
cause should be irrelevant. And so if if Gates is
confident that he's done nothing wrong, then there was absolutely
no reason to resign any more reason Marco Rubia, for example,
marcol Rubio has not resigned from the United States United

(21:32):
States Senate. There's no need to do so until the
new house in the Senate takes office in January. And
the only reason to do it then is because now
you are an official nomination of the President, and they
will they pretty much pigeonhole you at that point. For example,

(21:56):
prior to my confirmations, I'm stuck, and other than just
giving advice to the White House, I really couldn't go
out and make any public statements. I couldn't go out
and give any speeches. I couldn't go out and do
any press conferences. I couldn't do anything because they want nothing.
They want you sequestered, while the Senate committees review all

(22:22):
of your files, while the IRS and the FBI do
all the background investigations, while the White House itself does
its own vetting process. They want you sequestered, and so
for Gates to jump the gun on this makes me
do a double take, like why did you do that? Why?

(22:44):
And I like white questions because in DC, what what's
the rule? There are no coincidences, there are none whatsoever.
Speaking of the FBI, I don't think the Trump's victory well,
let me put that, No, you put it more positive way.
Trump's decisive victory didn't catch anybody by surprise who was

(23:09):
following the odds in the betting market, particularly on poly market.
The founder of poly Market, a guy by the name
of Shane Coplin, understood that the tight race that was
portrayed by the media and all the posters was actually
a fabrication. How many times did I say, with a

(23:29):
lot of caveats, you know, I don't want to jinx anything,
which is stupid because I can't jinx anything but superstition,
which is stupid in of itself. But I would hint
at I really think this is going to be a
victory now, But I don't think I ever said although
I believed it. I may have mentioned it at once

(23:50):
Surprize that I thought it would be an electrical college landslide.
I wasn't actually convinced that he would get over fifty
percent of the popular vote, but I was convinced he
was going to give above forty his baseline and forty
seven percent, so he had a three percent leeway in
there some way, and he got beyond that. But the

(24:14):
founder of poly Market was so convinced that the media
and the posters were fabricating that it was a tight race,
and then he undermined that narrative established by the cabal,
and he helped make rigging the election on the scale

(24:35):
required to keep Democrats in power absolutely infeasible. He also
helped make some people at killing off their Democrats drubbing.
I mean, it's actual betting. It's no different than betting
on a sporting event. God, this country is inundated with
sports apps and betting apps. You can bet on anything,

(24:57):
and you can do all sorts of wage that I
just find fascinating. So what's what does this have to
do with the FBI. They have raided the home of
complin early yesterday morning. Now that's after Just so you

(25:22):
got the timeline, yesterday is after last Tuesday's election. Hmm. Again,
there are no coincidences. Actually, the KGB would probably applaud
give a standing ovation based on the way they raided

(25:42):
his apartment and brought him out of a nice slumber sleep.
There's no word on whether they used a black Maria
to haul them away, but they very well may have.
A Spokesman for the company Polymarket called it obvious is
political retribution by the outgoing administration against poly Market for

(26:05):
providing a market that correctly called the twenty twenty four
presidential election. What what even if? Let me well, let
me give you some more facts. They took his phone,
they took some I'm not sure if they took all,

(26:28):
but he took some of his electronic devices. I assumed
that probably a laptop, a desktop or something. There's no
mention of a swat team. But and maybe this is
not as bad as it looks, and maybe the FBI
had legitimate cause. Of course, it never comments on ongoing investigations,
so unless he's actually prosecuted, unless the CEO is prosecuted,

(26:52):
we'll probably never know all the same. Let's hope, let's
pray that we're getting at least some last glimpse of
the FBI and how they operate under Democrat control. And
here's what Coplan said. We are deeply committed to being
nonpartisan and today is no different. But the incumbents should

(27:13):
do some self reflecting and recognize that taking a more
pro business, pro startup approach may be what would have
changed their fate this election. So what could possibly be
criminal activity here? I've really tried to moll over my head.
I spend way too much time trying to imagine things.

(27:37):
So you open up a betting market, now, is that
betting market subject to manipulation? Well, no different than gold
prices or subject to manipulation. If you get word that
the European Central Bank and the Federal Reserve or the
Chinese Central Bank or any other particular investment are beginning

(28:01):
to hoard and buy up gold, well that causes a
rush and people start rushing to buy gold. Likewise, if
they start dumping gold, I mean, it's no different than
the stock market. Stock market's no different than Las Vegas.
It's manipulated all the time. So what if in this open,

(28:22):
free market betting platform. You want to make people believe
that Trump is ahead in the betting market, Well, that
just means you get a group of people together and
you go place a whole bunch of bets on Trump
winning the electoral College, and that starts a stampede. Well

(28:45):
what's the crime in that? That's no different than somebody
trying to manipulate the stock market by saying, you know what,
I just understand that Dragon Red Beer just invented the
best mouse trap ever and it's going to make him
bazillions of dollars. And he's got this little private he's
got this little publicly traded company over here, and it's

(29:06):
selling for two cents a share. Let's all go buy
it up because we can get it up to ten
cents a share. I don't see what's going on here
other than intimidation, which seems to be the FBI's primary goal.
Just pure intimidation.

Speaker 6 (29:27):
Black Friday is coming, And for the adults in your

Speaker 8 (30:27):
Hey Michael, here's the thought for you. What if this
is some kind of the deal that Trump made with
House Republicans that Gates would get nominated, resigned from Congress,
and then not get confirmed.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
Now he's gone and he's.

Speaker 8 (30:44):
Not anybody's problem anyway.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Just the thought. Great show today. Hey Dragon, can you
see the last Can you tell what goober number that was?
Do do maybe give me one second. Okay, I'm just
curious because I love the way this audience thinks. No,
that one does not tell me tober nights. Okay, well,

(31:08):
guber number nine zero one six rights, Mike. Since Gates
has resigned from the House, this gets rid of a
serious embarrassing problem. If the Senate then refuses to confirm him,
which I feel is very possible, Matt Gates will be
relegated to the dust bowl of history. That will be
one more problem that Trump will not have to deal with.

(31:29):
Could be crazy like a fox. That's pretty good this
one six zero eight five Michael. Regarding the Gates nomination,
I understand that Trump can nominate who he wants. In
my thinking, Trump should have stayed away from Gates. There
are already too many people who think Trump has an
issue with sexual assault. For Trump to nominate Gates, it

(31:50):
looks like Trump is supporting someone who allegedly has a
big problem with ugly sexual allegations. Not help for Trump.
That's a good point too. The fifty four thirty one Michael.
Knowing Trump, you have to wonder if Matt Gates could
be a diversionary tactic. Everyone's watching what the right hand

(32:13):
is doing. But what is that left hand doing. This
appears to be a very calculated risk, brilliant or nine
twenty four. I wonder how many people in government are
guilty of sex offenses. Epstein and Ditty files might have

(32:33):
the answer. Maybe that's why they're not being released. I
understand that Diddy's got some serious problems in jail. I
can't imagine why.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
I wonder if he'll get Epstein and then uh fifty
five five Michael looks like Paulis and Pritzker at all
are refusing to accept the results of the election. They
are their election deniers, and they're also contradicting Chuck Schumer,
who says it's all I would caution my friends on

(33:10):
the other side of the aisle, we've got to learn
to work together. Yeah, bite me, Chuck, you never cared
about working together. Nine zero six zero. Regarding Matt Gates,
is it possible this is just a throwaway knowing he
probably will not be confirmed? Is this a way to
get rid of a loose cannon? Very well? Could be,

(33:36):
very well, could be. I still am just fascinated by
the fact that he resigned from Congress before he needed to.
People just generally don't resign from Congress, you know, a
couple of months before the next session starts. You give
up the salary, You give up at least additional time

(33:57):
on earning a little bit of your pension. You give
up all of that up. Mm hmmm. And the committee
report is supposed to be released tomorrow. Well, let's find
out what it's there. M.
