Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, Michael and Dragon. Happy taxpayer relief Friday. I
just wanted to let you know I do have money
writing on at least one that double click. During the
segment from Michael don't let me down.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Caution, you are about to experience the taxpayer relief shot
segment on the situation with Michael Brown. Caution you are
about to experience the taxpayer relief shot segment on the
situation with Michael Brown. We do not necessarily relish the
death of any criminal, but we do celebrate our god
given and constitutional right to self defense. In the event
(00:35):
that the criminal becomes DRT. The taxpayers spared the cost
of public defenders, court costs, incarceration, and continued parole supervision.
As the Sheriff of Santa Rosa County, Florida says, insert
audio here, Our Sheriff Grady of Polk County says, insert
audio here. You have been warned. Listen at your own
(00:59):
risks Mike, Well.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
It is time for taxpayer relief shots. Uh. We do
this because we believe in the god given right of
self defense, and too many times people just kind of
sluff over stories about self defense. So we bring these
to you to remind you that you do have a
god given right of self defense and which may or
may not involve the Second Amendment. Let's be honest about that.
(01:24):
We call him taxpayer relief shots. Primarily because somebody's breaking
in your house, you're more than welcome to shoot him.
In Center's accounting, we prefer that you do. Actually, hopefully
you'll save the taxpayers money. And sometimes people just you
could use.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
A taser, you can use your other handgun if a
guy is still coming at you to get your weapon.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
That is, you know, understandable. Ah, like, damn, he just
shot his dude. Yeah, well maybe he asked to be shot.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
He asked to be shot, He demanded to be shot,
and then he forced us to shoot him, so we
obliged him.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
So what's the advice.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Don't attack my deputies. Don't try to stab or shoot
my deputies, because if you do, we're going to shoot
you a lot loser.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
The sheriff also suggests that if.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Someone breaks in and that's a possibility that they're going
to acempt it, somebody going to be shooting him.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
So I will suggest not to break into homes. And
this great PSA about a nine.
Speaker 5 (02:36):
Hey everyone, recently, lady called nine one one here in
Panell County because someone was breaking into her house.
Speaker 6 (02:42):
There's some guy.
Speaker 7 (02:43):
He came to my door, but he went into my
neighbor's house.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
This dispatcher gave excellent advice. I'd like you to take
a moment and listen to it. He came into my garage.
Speaker 8 (02:52):
He's trying to get my back dorse.
Speaker 9 (02:53):
Okay, lock your doors, keep them all locked.
Speaker 10 (02:55):
Do you have a firearm with you?
Speaker 2 (02:57):
I do.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
He's in my garage.
Speaker 11 (02:59):
He's trying to get in.
Speaker 6 (03:00):
Go get that firearm.
Speaker 12 (03:01):
I have a gun if you Leah.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
While the incident was still going on, sergeant was monitoring
the radio traffic, and this is his direction that he gave.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
If I is got RP, if the subjects trying to
get in the house have the right to use force.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
I couldn't be more in agreement with what the direction
of my dispatcher gave and what the sergeant gave over
the radio. Remember, if you want personal protection, buy a gun,
learn how to use it, learn when you can use it.
I'm Sriff Ross TEPO, and I approve of this message.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
And I've got something new for you. We asked Ryan,
who asked Sheriff Reems and we got something you ready.
This is the premier debut of Sheriff Reams.
Speaker 13 (03:52):
This is Well County Sheriff Steve Reams, and I want
to encourage the people of Colorado to remember you still
have the right to defend yourself, no matter how much
of a mess this state has become. While the Democrats
and the legislature and the governor of the state have
created as many barriers as they can to make it
difficult for you to own and carry a gun for
your protection, you still have your Second Amendment rights. The
Democrat controlled legislature and Governor Polis also tell us that
(04:14):
crime isn't out of control, but we all know that's
not true. In Weld County, I encourage every citizen to
have an investment in their own safety. You should own
a gun and know how to use it. If someone
wants to break into your home and threaten your family,
they should meet the serious end of a firearm. The
best way to end the spread of crime is to
ensure the criminal is no longer part of the equation.
As the Sheriff of Weald County, remember this. We love
(04:35):
our guns in Weld County and we don't like criminals.
Thank you, sheriff. Appreciate that. Now we can say in
Colorado we got a sheriff saying the same thing. Let's
get going. As I tell you, I don't listen to these.
We just and we're going to go through them. Let's
see who we get some old of them and you
(04:57):
get rid of don't we dragon?
Speaker 3 (05:00):
I must drive it. I must start with the eight
eight award winner. We got a sixty two year old
husband almost did a double click.
Speaker 14 (05:09):
Which sixty con earned that guy some money. He bet
he bet on you, But.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
I'm passive aggressive.
Speaker 14 (05:18):
I don't think you're worth extra hard today.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Exactly sixty two year old husband. She kills a man
to stab his wife to death. Good, what's going on here?
Speaker 15 (05:29):
A Rockingham County woman slain, the out of state suspect
killed and self defense and a tight net community left
to wonder why after a home invasion turned homicide in
the tenth Legion area Sunday night. Good evening, and thanks
for joining us for the news at six. I'm Caleb Peak.
The Rockingham County Sheriff's office says sixty two year old
Holly Hatcher was killed late Sunday night, by forty one
(05:52):
year old at Kevin Walker from Pikesville, Maryland, during a
break in.
Speaker 14 (05:55):
At the Hatcher's home.
Speaker 15 (05:56):
Her husband Michael injured during the attack, but still able
to retrieve a handgun and shoot the suspect dead.
Speaker 16 (06:03):
Now.
Speaker 15 (06:03):
Ryan Hartnett is live tonight from a safe place near
the crime scene. Bryan, what else do we know about
this tragedy so far?
Speaker 17 (06:11):
Yeah, Caleb.
Speaker 18 (06:12):
Late Sunday night and early Monday morning, a home invasion
occurred right behind me off of North Valley Pike here
in Rockingham County, where a forty one year old man
from Marylyn attacked Holly and Michael Hatcher, resulting in the
death of the sixty two year old woman and the
mother of Shenandoah Valley singer Spencer Hatcher. And Spencer actually
(06:32):
just announced that he will not be performing at his
scheduled shows next week at the Rockingham County Fair.
Speaker 14 (06:39):
In a post to.
Speaker 18 (06:40):
Facebook, Hatcher said quote, it is with a heavy heart
and overwhelming sentness that, due to a monumental loss in
our family, I must cancel my upcoming shows at VOA
Country Music Fest in Butler County, Ohio and at Rockingham
County Fair in Harrisonburg, Virginia. I hope to make these
dates up to my fans in the future, and I
appreciate everyone that is their support to me and my
(07:01):
loved ones. We asked that everyone please respect our family's
privacy at this time, and fans of the bluegrass singer
are already showing their support and expressing condolences to him
in the comments of that post and sending their thoughts
in prayers to him and the Hatcher family as they
navigate this difficult time.
Speaker 15 (07:21):
Caleb, Yeah, truly a difficult time. Couldn't have said it
better myself, Ryan think.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
But oh thought some prayers were involved in that. One
shouldn't have played that. I'm sorry. Another award winner, a customer,
A customer, Well, let's just leave it at that.
Speaker 19 (07:35):
According to Murphysboro Police, three people were trying to steal
the store's ATM when a bystander opened fire, hitting and killing.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
One of the alleged thieves.
Speaker 19 (07:44):
Wsmb's Braden Ross spoke to a store employee who says
the events left his co workers traumatized.
Speaker 20 (07:51):
When Walter Pate came back to work Friday morning, the
scene was nothing like it was when he'd left just
thirty minutes earlier.
Speaker 14 (07:57):
I didn't know what was going on.
Speaker 10 (07:59):
I mean chaos.
Speaker 20 (08:01):
That chaos was the aftermath of an alleged attempted robbery.
Speaker 14 (08:05):
Police sate three people pulled.
Speaker 20 (08:06):
Up to the seven to eleven around five this morning,
taking a sledgehammer to the glass and tying a guy
wire around the ATM, apparently planning to pull it out
using a stolen truck. But a bystander, someone Pate says
is a regular customer, intervened, opening fire and hitting and
killing one of the three people.
Speaker 10 (08:23):
He's military training as far as I know, uh, and
he is doing what he's trying to do.
Speaker 20 (08:30):
The customer who shot and killed the man stayed on
the scene, and police took him in for questioning. He
was later released as they continued to investigate what happened
in the moments leading up to the shooting.
Speaker 18 (08:40):
We just hate that someone lost their life, regardless of
who that person is.
Speaker 5 (08:45):
Police say.
Speaker 20 (08:45):
The other two people ran from the scene, abandoning the
stolen truck in the parking lot of an apartment complex nearby,
with the guy wire still attached. Police are still looking
for those suspects.
Speaker 10 (08:56):
I hate it happened. Now everybody's traumatized over.
Speaker 20 (08:59):
Pate says the event has left the entire store community
shaken up.
Speaker 10 (09:03):
The wef had so many people come in today after
this has happened and want to know.
Speaker 14 (09:07):
Everybody's okay. But everybody held together.
Speaker 10 (09:09):
Good the manager sheep. The sheep pulled everybody together and
got done what ain't to be done.
Speaker 20 (09:14):
Police have not identified the man who died, the man
who shot him, or the other two people believed to
be involved in Murfreesboro. Brandon Ross WSMV four, What why
stealing it to you?
Speaker 17 (09:27):
Because they're so easily to just pick up and walk
off with.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Doland truck guy wire go in. You gotta wrap it around,
you gotta tie it up, you gotta get it latched,
and then you gotta drive off.
Speaker 14 (09:40):
These guys watch too many damn movies.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Exactly agree.
Speaker 14 (09:44):
I just watched Fusion and Furious we can get away
with it?
Speaker 3 (09:46):
Yeah, come on, boys, let's go do this. Another award
winner Landlord, Oh, Landlord and tenant Well.
Speaker 21 (09:55):
Tonight, we were learning new information about a deadly shooting
in New Jersey. Police say homeowner in Lodi fatally shot
a man trying to break into his home last night.
It turns out the man he killed was a tenant.
I when his user reporter Steffon Kim Is Live and
Lodi Tonight and safon how did this happen?
Speaker 22 (10:13):
Well, as that homeowner broke down sobbing as his family
held him. I really did not want to do this,
he said, as he was shaking in tears. We're not
showing his home because that homeowner is terrified, his family
is traumatized.
Speaker 14 (10:26):
It was around eleven.
Speaker 22 (10:27):
O'clock last night when cops say a man was trying
to kick open their front door and tried to break
in using a spirit type object. Edie, this is the
spirit type object Lodi police was used to try to
break into a home on Garibaldi Avenue, a handsheld harpoon.
Cops say thirty three year old Amir Ali, a basement
(10:49):
tenant of the home, was trying to smash his way in.
Investigators say the sixty two year old homeowner and family
members confronted Ali. Cops said the homeowner ultimately fired three shots,
striking Ali once he was rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center,
where he was pronounced dead. The homeowner says the suspect
that only recently started renting from him, never had any
issues with him, no arguments, no run ins, barely even
(11:12):
knew him, didn't even realize who he was.
Speaker 14 (11:14):
At the time.
Speaker 22 (11:15):
The suspect never said a word during the incident. Again,
that homeowner's family are still very shaken up and on
top of how this ended, they still don't know why
this happened. They're putting live in Lodie cephon KIM Channel
seven Eyewitness News.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Did I miss that? Was he trying to break into
the part that he was renting?
Speaker 14 (11:37):
I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
No, Okay, he was trying to break into the main house?
Speaker 14 (11:41):
Correct?
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Yeah, okay, because I was thinking, oh, this might might
be a good text player relief shop. But okay, got it?
Double click this one. A woman shoots and kills a
man with Florida.
Speaker 15 (11:51):
This was just minutes before a woman inside shot and
killed him.
Speaker 12 (11:56):
Take a look at this video from the front porch.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Play.
Speaker 12 (12:02):
You can see the man kicking the front door on
James Taylor Lane and screaming at those who are inside.
Speaker 23 (12:10):
Play.
Speaker 14 (12:14):
Then the fifty four.
Speaker 12 (12:15):
Year old man goes back to kicking in the door.
After a few tries, he gets in. The sheriff said,
once inside, he armed himself with a knife and threatened
to harm his children's mother. A woman in a bedroom
said she was in fear for her life and shot
the man in the head. He died un scene. The
(12:38):
man had an active domestic violence injunction filed on him,
and the sheriff says when this all happened, the man
was on his way to an anger management class.
Speaker 14 (12:49):
It's not working.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
Restraining Quarter's not working. I don't think the anger man
class is working either. I'm sorry. I shouldn't be laughing
at that. Let's see base security officer. God, people are
so stupid.
Speaker 11 (13:06):
Some tense moments last night. A person is dead after
attempting to enter Davis monthan Air Force base. The United
States Air Force says it happened early this morning, around
two thirty when the suspect refused to stop at the
base's main gate near Craycroft Road and was then seen
driving erradically before crashing into a barrier. Security units then
(13:27):
shot the suspect. No information on that person has been
released at this time. An investigation remains on going to
sure and stay with News Fort Tucson as we learned
more about what happened.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
That needs more information because that one bothers me.
Speaker 17 (13:42):
Oh, a lot of the good ones are a little short.
They give you thirty seconds. Okay, there's more to the story.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Yeah, I think there's more to here, because he crashed
into a barrier. Was he in his car, you know,
locked out? Did he stumble out of the car and
follow the ground? Did he point weapon anybody? I mean
once he's past the main gate, yes, if you want
to shoot him at at that point. But they didn't
shoot at him until he ran into a barrier. M
(14:11):
I don't know about that. Okay. Let's see a man
brings a knife to a gun fight. We know this
works out. Yeah.
Speaker 15 (14:18):
A police shooting has prompted an investigation in a neighborhood.
Speaker 17 (14:21):
There crownd for Sarah Stinson joining us a live from
the scene with the very latest.
Speaker 14 (14:25):
Sarah, what can you tell us?
Speaker 24 (14:27):
Yeah, I just spoke with Richmond Police and we learned
that two officers shot a man they say was armed
with a knife.
Speaker 14 (14:34):
Take a look.
Speaker 24 (14:35):
Very much an active scene out here and an emotional one.
We have seen family members of the man who is
shot and killed here come out and just explain how
severe this is and how just emotional this is for them.
We're here at the intersection of First Street and Barrett
(14:56):
and we are here where police have been since five
o'clock when police say they got a nine one one
call about an armed man who was inside a home here.
They say the call came in and they said this
person was threatening to kill people, and that's when police responded.
And when they got here, they could hear a disturbance
in one of the homes here, so that's when they
(15:18):
knocked on the door. And at the same time, fully
say they got were from dispatch that this man may
have been armed with an additional weapon.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
They're calling it a second edged.
Speaker 24 (15:28):
Weapon, so one knife and one other weapon.
Speaker 14 (15:31):
So authors approached.
Speaker 24 (15:32):
The front door and that's when they had some kind
of confrontation which resulted in two officers firing their guns.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Not positive for just a moment, dragging. The audio engineer
finally showed up.
Speaker 17 (15:46):
Yeah, that's not us, I tried. That's whatever they published
on their report. It's like, yeah, thanks guys. The audio
engineer finally showed up.
Speaker 24 (15:55):
And killing this man. Now the man he died at
the scene and police are here combing the scene. They're
talking to any witnesses and the contra costs law enforcement.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
He just left it them break time.
Speaker 24 (16:08):
Yeah, all field team is here, so they're they're here.
The Contra Costa County District Attorney's office is here and
they're investigating this thoroughly. Meanwhile, I caught up with neighbors.
I mean, this shooting was heard throughout the neighborhood. People
said they heard multiple gunshots go off. One man says,
(16:29):
this is devastating to see.
Speaker 14 (16:31):
Some kind of officer off to next.
Speaker 11 (16:33):
His home.
Speaker 6 (16:35):
Su because, I mean, this is the people we trusted
to save our lives. No way, I mean police, they
can stay away, stay.
Speaker 14 (16:47):
Away and be back. You can't get laid that. There
was a lot of chots there was.
Speaker 24 (16:59):
That neighbor said, shootings that involve officers really create a
lot of distrust in the community. So he's upset about this,
along with many other people who spoke with us off camera.
This is very early on into the investigation.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
We did ask.
Speaker 24 (17:13):
Police a lot more questions about the confrontation about what
went down between the two officers and the man, but
we did not get quite as many answers as we
hope for.
Speaker 14 (17:23):
So we'll continue to.
Speaker 8 (17:25):
Follow the latest, but for now, back to you.
Speaker 6 (17:26):
In the studio, this guy right here, because I mean,
this is the people we trusted to save our lives.
No way, I mean police, they can stay away, stay.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Away and be back.
Speaker 6 (17:46):
Get liked that there was a lot of chocks there.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
Was, So I want to give him a handgun and
then find somebody who's poulish enough to charge him and
try to attack him with a knife and see how
quickly he fires the handgun.
Speaker 24 (18:08):
What do touch?
Speaker 3 (18:09):
My relief shots continue after the US must.
Speaker 16 (18:21):
While I really appreciate Sheriff Reams being able to give
a little statement for the textpayer relief Day, what's this
bit about an equation? I mean if I neither was
going to be math, I don't know.
Speaker 17 (18:38):
I don't know if I tune in, what did I
miss the where Dreams was saying, you know, bad guy,
you remove the bad guy from the equation.
Speaker 14 (18:52):
If you haven't gotten Oh okay.
Speaker 17 (18:54):
So gun plus bad guy equals no bad guy.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Okay, all right, all right, okay, I won't have how the
dog to do this since I picked him up at
the drig leaners.
Speaker 14 (19:08):
He didn't leave them at the dry cleaners.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Yeah, they were with the drive cleanors yesterday. For I
did same day service. They were there for about six
and a half, almost seven hours, but same day service.
Speaker 14 (19:19):
You know.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Yeah, So let's see an armed carjacking suspect.
Speaker 14 (19:26):
No right now at four.
Speaker 25 (19:27):
Saint Louis Police updating us a short time ago about
a deadly shooting involving officers in North Saint Louis. We've
confirmed officers shot and killed a man at North twentieth
and Salisbury. That's near I seventy in the Hyde Park neighborhood.
Are sean logging live with the new information now at
four Shawn Cameron.
Speaker 26 (19:44):
We got that update here from Saint Louis Police within
the last thirty minutes. Now behind me here you can
see where police officers and investigators are focusing their efforts.
It's in that kind of empty lot behind that brick building,
kind of in an alley backstreet there. Now that is
where officers or police say that officers chased an arm suspect,
where that suspect was later shot and died after being shot. Now,
(20:07):
officials say that detectives we're out in this area of
Hyde Park investating in armed car jockeying that happened earlier
this morning around one point thirty this afternoon. That is
when officers and detective saw another car arrive in this
area with multiple people inside, including a man armed with
a gun they described with an extended magazine. As two
officers tried to approach. Please say the man ran from
(20:27):
the area after refusing to drop the gun. That is
when officers shot and hit the suspect. This is why
police say that they engaged with these suspects.
Speaker 27 (20:37):
Pull an innocent person out of their car and you
rip them out and you put a gun in their face.
You don't care about that human being, and these are
very dangerous individuals. That is why we engage these individuals
in pursuits.
Speaker 26 (20:53):
Please tell me that they are still working to identify
the suspect in this incident. Now, the officer involved this,
I'm told has nine years of experience with an apartment
forced investigation will be handling this officer involved a shooting
while detectives are still investigating that arm carjacking that happened
this morning that was near Palm and Blair. For now
though live in North City. Sean logging first lear four
(21:15):
All right, Sean, thank you, alsome.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Also got them off arm carjackers. Oh remember the guy
earlier goes upset because the cops. You know, bam bam, bam,
bam bam. I haven't heard this one yet, but a
wounded man shot and killed by nine cops.
Speaker 23 (21:38):
Deadly police shooting under investigation in Jacksonville. A total of
nine officer shot at a man they say was behind
a series of crimes leading up to the police shooting.
Alex is in the newsroom with new details from overnight.
Speaker 11 (21:50):
Alex and so MICHAELA.
Speaker 9 (21:51):
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office held a press conference overnight and
shared details on this deadly police shooting. According to officers,
this all started at a dock where a couple was
fishing at the time. Now they heard gunshots and saw
a man firing a rifle into the water. Police say
when the victim went to check on the man, he
pointed a gun at him, and then as the victim
(22:13):
walked away, started firing shots at his feet.
Speaker 28 (22:16):
As the victim continues to walk away, he hears more
gunshots and then he realizes the pier next to him,
like at his feet, it's splintering.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
A lot of the shots are hitting. The wood at
his feet was splintered up.
Speaker 28 (22:27):
So he turns around and the guy stops shooting and
they start talking again.
Speaker 9 (22:32):
And moments later we know that the armed man then
points the rifle at the victim's head. The two fight
over the gun. The victim was able to disarm it,
and the two groups leave, but the suspect would continue
his crime.
Speaker 28 (22:44):
Take a look, they think he's gone, so as there leaving,
trying to work their well at the neighborhood to leave,
he turns around. He's up ahead of him in his truck.
He turns around and comes out of barreling.
Speaker 18 (22:54):
At him head on.
Speaker 28 (22:56):
They steered to the right to miss him, and they
kind of sideswide. His driver's side strikes their right rear
driver's side, so.
Speaker 13 (23:03):
They kind of veer off.
Speaker 28 (23:04):
He continues on and when they get to the front
of the neighborhood out here to Main Court Road, they
realize when he left that scene, he went out and
he hit another vehicle totally uninvolved in the vehicle to
drive it.
Speaker 9 (23:16):
And so officers responded to that crash scene where they
say that the man was barricaded inside his car. Officials
negotiated with that man for more than an hour and
a half before they say the man eventually picked up
a rifle case and reached into it, and that's when
a total of nine officers opened fire. The thirty seven
year old suspect was killed in the shooting, but he
has not been identified now. This is the agency's fourteenth
(23:38):
officer involved shooting of the year. The Faria Department of
Law Enforcement is now investigating.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Have you ever thought about why if there are nine cops,
all nine start shooting because they're each defending themselves. Do
you want to rely on your buddy that's you know,
four guys over behind another squad car and maybe he
gets shot and then booms. You haven't You had a
chance to take out the purp and you didn't do it.
(24:05):
That's why let's see an armed.
Speaker 8 (24:09):
Robber Now at nine an update on a deadly police
