Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, Michael and Dragon.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Just wanted to let you know I schedule my entire
Friday morning every Friday around taxpayer relief shots.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
Appreciate what you do. Have a great weekend.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Caution, you are about to experience the taxpayer relief shot
segment on the situation with Michael Brown. Caution, you are
about to experience the taxpayer relief shot segment on the
situation with Michael Brown. We do not necessarily relish the
death of any criminal, but we do celebrate our god
given and constitutional right to self defense in the event
(00:35):
that the criminal becomes DRT. The taxpayers spared the cost
of public defenders, court costs, incarceration, and continued parole supervision.
As the Sheriff of Santa Rosa County, Florida says, insert
audio here, Our Sheriff Grady of Pope County says, insert
audio here. You have been warned listen at your own risks, Mike.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Indeed, it is Friday, and indeed we are doing TYX
player relief shots. We've been doing some booster shots if
you're just now tuning in, but you you know you
missed a couple of good ones, but you've got I'm
sorry yes.
Speaker 5 (01:13):
Excuse me, we're gonna jump back to that talk back
here real quick. I'm not quite sure. I haven't decided
figured out if that's impressive, creepy, or sad.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
That's all right, but you know, you do you?
Speaker 4 (01:30):
But you know what, I actually think it could be
all three.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Probably it's probably.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
It's it makes me very very happy, and I find
it very pathetic and well, as you say, you do you.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
That's that's one of our twelve.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Do you know what else I found? Did I tell
you this that there's a certain boss of hours down
the hallway that loves this segment?
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Really?
Speaker 4 (01:56):
Yes, I gave him one of those kind of double
looks like and I don't know why. I just thought
that you.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Know that one or that one, this one, that one?
Speaker 4 (02:07):
Yes, huh yeah, i'd be the direct one.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
Yeah, okay, yeah, it doesn't seem his personality type.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
I know.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
But now it kind of scares me because, yeah, maybe
he may be one of those crazies. Yeah, yeah, you
know he never shows up until you know, ten eleven o'clock. Yeah,
and he says he's a night owl. He's out prowling.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Around, you know, naked on people's porches.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
Made well no, Well, he either could be showing up
naked naked on people's porches or maybe a little vigilante
going on. Oh yeah, okay, see yeah, kind of like Dexter,
you know, the dark Passenger, right, yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
Yeah, just makes this so he washes his hands from
religiously too, so I mean he does. Everything is making
much more sense.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Now, Yes, now it all comes together m which means
means now, don't stand too close. Or when he tries
to give you one of those hugs, get ready for
the knife in the back or the scalpel like Dexter
would use. We do call these tax player relief shops.
Because somebody's breaking in your house here, more than welcome
(03:26):
to shoot him.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
In Santa Croise accounting, we prefer that you do.
Speaker 6 (03:28):
Actually, hopefully you'll save the taxpayers money.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
Now, just because we don't have a lot of time,
I want to get to my favorite but we're really
is becoming one of my favorite PSAs of all time.
Speaker 7 (03:39):
Hey, everyone, recently, lady called nine to one one here
in Panell County because someone was breaking into her house.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
There's some guy. He came to my door, but he
went into my neighbor's house.
Speaker 7 (03:50):
This dispatcher gave excellent advice. I'd like you to take
him moment and listen to it. He came into my garage.
Speaker 8 (03:55):
She's trying to give my back door.
Speaker 9 (03:56):
Okay, lock your doors, keep them all locked.
Speaker 10 (03:58):
Do you have a firearm with you?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Thank you. He's in my garage.
Speaker 11 (04:02):
He's trying to get in.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
Go get that firearm.
Speaker 12 (04:04):
I have a gun off here here, Leah.
Speaker 7 (04:10):
While the incident was still going on, sergeant was monitoring
the radio traffic and this is his direction that he gave.
Speaker 11 (04:18):
The subjects trying to get in the house.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
They have the right to use force.
Speaker 7 (04:21):
I couldn't be more in agreement with what the direction
of my dispatcher gave and what the sergeant gave over
the radio. Remember, if you want personal protection, buy a gun,
learn how to use it, learn when you can use it.
I'm sure if Ross Tepo and I approve of this message.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
And so do I. Oh, let's get to them. This
one comes to us internationally. I don't know where.
Speaker 13 (04:41):
A second suspect in the kidnapping of Missus and Jankie
Santi Karum has been killed by police. Commissioner of Police
Alistair Gavaru confirmed that during overnight intelligence led operations that
followed Miss Karum's successful rescue. In East Trinidad, a team
of officers proceeded to a home at Old Bianco Road,
where office were confronted by the armed suspect.
Speaker 12 (05:04):
Keeping with the t TPS use of force policy, the
officers discharged their service issued firearms in response to the
imminent threat. They suspect sustained injuries and was conveyed to
the Arima Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Speaker 13 (05:23):
No officers or members of the public were injured. Officers
recovered and seized one o'clock nineteen pistol with ammunition at
the scene.
Speaker 12 (05:33):
I continued to work throughout the night in an effort
to curtail the identified threat to national security posed by
these individuals who have forged themselves into this criminal syndicate.
At this point in time, the leaders of their group
remain imprisoned at a secure location where the communication is timeied.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
All right, who do you think it was? Dragon?
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Tex? Payley? Shot?
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Yeah? Did I miss it? Did I miss the location?
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Oh? Where it was?
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Yeah? I'm tellia, okay, all right? A man brings a
crossbow to a gunfight.
Speaker 14 (06:17):
New details in a police shooting that killed a man
in Woodbridge yesterday, Police now identifying the man as fifty
two year old Harrison Deepy. The shooting happened after an
hour's long standoff near the Potomac Mills Mall. DC News
Now's Mario Carbone live there now, Maryel, what more are
you learning today when we know that.
Speaker 15 (06:37):
Debet was from Woodbridge and that he was known to
police at the time. A neighbor tells us that he
had been witnessing our behavior by Debet in the days leading.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
Up to this shooting.
Speaker 15 (06:48):
Police say at the time he was armed with a crossbow.
Police came's still up outside this burger king in Woodbridge.
After Prince William County Police Sean killed a man nearby
Thursday evening.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
There were sapelines everywhere.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Schwat Car was there.
Speaker 15 (07:04):
Patrick Beldez was at the movie theater at Potomac Mills
when it happened.
Speaker 6 (07:07):
They did what they needed to do if they felt
that the suspect was going to harm others. Our search
for this individual actually began on Wednesday.
Speaker 15 (07:16):
According to Lieutenant Jonathan Perrauk, police had a warrant for
fifty two year old house in Debet. He was wanted
after allegedly pulling a gun on a stranger Wednesday and
again the following day at least located in Thursday, and
after fleeing twice, they found him parked on Potomac Mills
Circle near the shopping mall at two forty five pm.
Speaker 6 (07:34):
Our officers attempted to take him into custody. At that point,
he brandished a crossbow at the officers.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
The officers retreated.
Speaker 15 (07:43):
The crisis negotiators tried to facilitate a peaceful surrender, but
after several hours, officers say Debet got out of his
vehicle and ran towards the mall armed with the crossbow.
That's when an officer fired, killing him.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
As you know, Potomac Mills is a large shopping plaza.
There's probably hundreds of people inside of location, so it
was imperative that we kept kept them.
Speaker 15 (08:04):
Safe and Rock says the officer involved is a veterans
SWAT Team member. They're currently on administrative lead.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Always be aware, you can never know what can happen.
You know, you could just go to the mall or
go to.
Speaker 16 (08:15):
The movies and suddenly you've got a guy either would
gun when a weapon or a crossbow.
Speaker 15 (08:22):
And we did try to speak to a family member
of Debet, they declined to speak to us. I'm Mark Intocin.
We know that at this point the regions a critical
Incident Response team is now investigating the shooting, apporting live
in Wildbridge on Mariel Carbone DC News.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
Now, I'm not trying to fight like mister tough guy here,
but to that point, if I were sitting in a
movie theater with tamer and watching a movie and a
guy down in front of us somewhere stood up, turned
around with a crossbow and just started to lift the car,
I don't think I just boom gone. There's no hesitation whatsoever.
(08:58):
Lots of ways to die, is not one I want
to do. Kyle shoots a fleeing suspect.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
He chased with police turned into a deadly officer involved
shooting near Saint Helens. The Columbia County Sheriff's Office had
been looking for a driver who had already eluded law
enforcement back on July nineteenth on the Lewis and Clark Bridge.
They tracked down the suspect, identified as Kyle Graham, yesterday afternoon,
but he took off again, leading to a chase in
(09:27):
the Deer Island area. During the chase, the suspect's car
went off the road and crashed down an embankment. Oregon
State Police say Graham was confronted by an officer and
shots were fired. Graham was hit and died the scene.
No officers were hurt in the incident. The deputy involved
in the shooting is now on leave, which is standard protocol.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
All right, not much to say about that. An armed bank.
Speaker 17 (09:53):
Robber bridge our top story tonight, Some frightening moments for
a West Valley neighborhood after a deadly sho shootout erupts
between police and a bank robber. ABC fifty is Allison
Rodriguez joining.
Speaker 18 (10:04):
Us now live and Allison, we do know that that
suspect is dead.
Speaker 17 (10:07):
But walk us through exactly how this whole thing unfolded.
Speaker 19 (10:12):
Well, Stephanie, what we've learned is that a witness who
works nearby called police early this morning, around ten when
he saw a man with a mask and a gun
enter this compass bank here behind me on Wes Thomas.
And it's still a pretty active scene, to tell you
the truth. Only less than ten minutes ago this place
was still bustling with many more police cars. They just
(10:32):
took down the caution tape a few minutes ago. Right
now they are towing away what we believe to be
one of the police officers cars who was involved here
in this incident. And we also believe shortly they're going
to be towing away the suspects car.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
What we believe to.
Speaker 19 (10:48):
Be the suspects car here in front of the bank.
Now that witness getting back to that witness, he called
nine to one one and when an officer pulled up
here to the bank, he noticed a white four door
Ford parked suspiciously in front of the building you just saw,
and things really escalated from there. According to Phoenix PD,
the officer saw the alleged robber come out of the
bank carrying a bag and a handgun. The officer began
(11:11):
yelling commands at him, but the suspect started shooting, and
when a nearby detective came to the bank and saw
what was happening, well, he pulled out his gun and
shot the suspect. Suspect was pronounced dead after the shootout.
One witness describes the terrifying ordeal.
Speaker 20 (11:28):
I just heard a loud pop, you know, I thought, oh,
it was like a tired, must be a flat but
one after another and it was like four or five.
That's when I knew, you know, it's not tired. And
looking around, no flat tires, no people accidents, not that
because it's loud.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Well.
Speaker 19 (11:46):
Police say the vehicle he used was rented, and they
believe this man did act alone, Stephanie. They aren't releasing
his name right now. But we also know there were
three employees working here at the bank this whole when
this whole thing took place. But for putunately, they aren't hurt.
Speaker 18 (12:01):
Yeah, fortunately, Allison, thank you.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
Thank you, Ellison. Uh ambush, but don't often hear about ambushes.
Speaker 21 (12:12):
And three Ohio police officers ambushed and shot in Lorraine,
about thirty miles west of Cleveland. The suspect was killed
by other responding officers. Now, the chief of police there
says the attack started when two officers were parked in
a cruiser eating lunch.
Speaker 22 (12:28):
And he had an arsenal of weapons with him. He
was laying in wait and open fire with multiple rounds
at both of the officers who were sitting in their vehicles.
Assisting officers loaded up the wounding officers in control vehicles
and drove them to the hospital themselves.
Speaker 21 (12:47):
The first two officers were shot multiple times and flown
to another hospital for treatment. The third officer was shot
in the hand, and now Governor Mike DeWine saying tonight
he's praying for the officers as well as their family.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
You know, another example of societal disintegration, absolute dicidal disintegration.
Let's see this is an award winner. Try to rob
a food truck.
Speaker 7 (13:11):
Seriously, Hi, everyone recently say it.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
To double click there, Michael, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 23 (13:20):
And a food truck operator shot and killed a man
who tried to rob him early this morning. Investigators say
the man was armed during the attempted robbery. Mobile police
officers arrived on scene at Superstop gas station on Saint
Stephens Road shortly after two am. Please say the food
truck operator was not injured during the attempted robbery. Today
(13:40):
there was some leftover crime scene tape still at the scene,
but the food truck was gone. MPD is still investigating
the shooting and asking anyone with information about what happened
to come forward.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
Yew, the food truck can just drive off disappear. Another
award winner, homeowner and intruder.
Speaker 24 (13:57):
Paint Tim here at home I suspected burglar has died
from his injuries after the homeowner shot him. The incident
happened two weeks ago on Montview Avenue when tapped the
current County Sheriff's office as a homeowner confronted the man
in the backyard. The suspected burglar then reportedly charged out
the homeowner, who then shot him. The man, identified as
Felix Cortes v Signor, was rushed to the hospital. We're
(14:21):
now learning he died from his injuries last Tuesday. The
case is now being investigated as a homicide.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
All right, homeowner, This involves a homeowner. It's an award winner,
and I think you'll know why.
Speaker 9 (14:37):
Tuesday morning, a man of failed in this house behind me.
I'm hen Atawenho's thirteenth of Martha, and I spoke to
a man who lives in the building about what he
says happened.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
We need to stop all his violence. Man, it's not
even worse.
Speaker 9 (14:49):
Tuesday morning, Kennedy Keys told me he walked into the
downstairs of this home off thirteenth Street.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
I have no other way but to fight back.
Speaker 9 (14:58):
He says. A man was attempting to rob his seventy
year old roommate. He said the altercation turned physical. That's
when he says his roommate grabbed a kitchen knife and
stabbed the other man.
Speaker 25 (15:08):
I asked him, why did you stab and he said
the man was trying to attack me.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
There's just no reason to.
Speaker 25 (15:15):
Come in and steal and try to get a drug
money up.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
Man's stupid to die.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
I think.
Speaker 9 (15:21):
Here's what we know from the Omaha Police Department. Officers
responded to what they call a cutting call at the home,
where they found a man unresponsive in the basement of
the house. Officers performed CPR and took the man to
Nebraska Medicine, where he was pronounced dead. Kennedy tells me
he is returning to the home, but isn't sure how
he's going to be able to sleep at night. Your
(15:42):
thirteenth and Martha and here Mack will read your Central
Omaha neighbor reporter.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Well, there you go. They't always have to have a gun.
Sometimes just a knife will do the job. Another award
winner husband shoots wife's ex boyfriend.
Speaker 26 (16:00):
Originally got a call from someone in the neighborhood who
heard five or six gun shots as they were responding
to that, they got another call from a woman inside
this home. She said there had been an intruder and
her husband shot him. Thiss happened just before one am.
The homeowners are being cooperative with police. They answered questions
un scene and then went with investigators to the station
to answer more questions. What they've learned is if the
(16:21):
intruder was the woman's ex boyfriend. It's still not clear
how he got into the home. There was no sign
of forest entry. Police say the suspect was armed with
a knife, but they're not sure if he brought that
knife with him or if he grabbed it when he
entered the home. Police say the couple in suspect had
some sort of confrontation that ended with the suspect being shot.
He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
(16:41):
Police are still trying to figure out why he showed
up here. They say it's not the first time he's
harassed his ex.
Speaker 16 (16:47):
There has been and this in the past where she
actually a temporary restraining order. We don't know at this
point whether she ever sought a permanent restraining order, but
it sounds like there have been some altercations in the
past or he's showed up to this residence.
Speaker 26 (17:00):
There were two children and a grandparents inside asleep when
all of this happened. Fortunately they were not injured.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
Yeah, restraining orders worthless. This next one a sixteen year
old driver.
Speaker 27 (17:16):
Say Patrol says, the sixteen year old was killed another
passenger seriously injured after they crashed will running from police
after going through a road checkpoint. This all happening in
Newton County, and that's where our Fox five's Eric Mack
is from the Covington on Highway eighty one. Eric, what
can you tell us about what happened?
Speaker 28 (17:36):
Eric, were actually here where that crash ended up. You know,
they hit a power poll over here and ended up
in the middle of the roadway, that sixteen year old driver,
And just within the last half hour there were family
and friends who came out here in to survey what
was left behind after this crash. Someone actually left flowers
as well over there, and they were just in so
much pain, of course, after losing this sixteen year old
(17:58):
member of their family. In fact, they were too distraught
to speak with us about what happened. But here's what
we know from the Georgia State Patrol is that last night,
around ten point fifteen pm, there was a road checkpoint
set up on Highway thirty six being conducted by multiple
law enforcement agencies, including the Newton County Sheriff's Office. At
that time, this car, this grave Ford Fusion, pulled up.
(18:22):
They asked that car to pull into a nearby parking
lot to for further inspection. That's when that car sped
off trying to get away from police. Georgia State Patrol
says Newoncanty Sheriff's Office chased after them, and that driver,
you know, came all the way down here to Highwa
eighty one just south of Flat Shoals Road. That's when
(18:43):
right here at this curve here they you know, lost
control of the vehicle trying to pass another car and
slammed into that pole and then ended up in the
middle of the roadway here. Just a really really nasty
crash here. And police say the driver was sixteen years
old died here at the scene. A pass in the
car had to be airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
For serious injuries.
Speaker 28 (19:05):
Now GSP has not yet identified the driver or the passenger.
Not originally they told us the driver was fifteen years old.
But then a lot of people online were saying, no,
he's not fifteen, and that's when sure enough, GSP updated
the information saying they were sixteen. Now, this is still
a developing story, a lot of questions that people need
answer here about this crash. Were't continue to bring you
those details as soon as we have them.
Speaker 11 (19:27):
Michael, this is not on you. This is on iHeartRadio.
They just got through doing the ad for iHeart Earth
suggesting that we go meatless one day a week so
that we can help elimit the emissions caused by eating meat. Yeah,
(19:48):
they can eat something, but it's not meat, if you
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
No, we have.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
We have no clue what you're saying. Was that on
the street you mean dragon? Or was that on the air?
Because I didn't hear it on air.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
I'm not sure. I couldn't. I don't pay attention to
the show. Why would I pay attention to the commercial?
Speaker 4 (20:06):
Well, exactly, iHeart Earth. I gotta go look that up.
I can't wait for the email from corporate about iHeart Earth.
You know, I think it's just for that. I was
trying to think about what to do for lunch today,
Maybe a big juicy, fat, greasy.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Hamburger, go straight to steak.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
Well, that may be dinner tonight.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Why not both lunch and dinner.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
Steak and burger for both lunch and dinner.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Oh, a steak for lunch, steak for dinner.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
Okay, I can do that. Yeah, I'm just trying to
think of where where can I get a steak for lunch?
Speaker 27 (20:46):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Yeah, most of them don't open four or something, right, right?
Speaker 27 (20:50):
No?
Speaker 4 (20:50):
No, no, you know, I think Perry's opens on Fridays. I
think Perry's is open early, like maybe eleven o'clock or something. Oh,
but then I need to borrow some money for to
go to Perry's.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Ask Martino?
Speaker 4 (21:03):
Why would ask Martino? I don't know. Was he a
state guy or something? Armed suspect we're doing taxpayer really
shots obviously because it's Friday. Uh, let's see an armed
suspect gets well.
Speaker 22 (21:16):
Well.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
Gary police fatally shoot the subject of a search warrant
this morning.
Speaker 21 (21:20):
Police say the first engaged officers with a gun and
deb Jen's Emmy Victor has the latest time the investigation.
Speaker 29 (21:27):
We know that officers went to the home to execute
a search warrant. A forty six year old man who
lived there was suspected of selling drugs. We're also told
that man was armed during this encounter with police, which
ultimately led to police firing their weapons at him.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
It was kind of like scary at first, we didn't
know what.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
Was going on.
Speaker 29 (21:45):
Anthony Griffin says he and his family woke up to
loud sounds on Wednesday morning.
Speaker 25 (21:49):
Walked down my back door. There's a man, man down
and that's I've seen it. So the kids back in
the house and then we've been in the house since then.
Speaker 29 (21:58):
When he looked outside of his Gary town house, he
says he saw several police officers and a body on
the ground.
Speaker 25 (22:04):
He's a neighbor of for when I'm about barbecuing. He
was a guy that came by to say hello. Quit
in the house. So that's it as far as personal
conversations know, just a high and bias neighbors.
Speaker 29 (22:14):
This was a scene around six thirty am on the
six hundred block of Adams Street. Authorities wearing tactical gears,
spent hours behind crime scene tape searching the inside of
this home and questioning witnesses about the shooting. According to
the Gary Police Department, officers on their SWAT team went
to the area to execute a search warrant. Police say
they received reports that someone was selling and distributing narcotics there.
(22:38):
During the drug operation, authority say forty six year old
David Martin ran out the back door and approached the
officers with a firearm. They say the officers then fired
shots at Martin, who died from his injuries. Griffin says
Martin has lived in the neighborhood for a few years.
He also described the neighborhood as relatively safe and says
he was surprised to see all of the police activity there.
Speaker 25 (23:00):
Today, cops get called far as like some small like
you know, dispute us, something like that, but never far
is having a sweat and gunfire and stuff like that.
Speaker 29 (23:08):
Now, the Gary Police Department confirms to WGN that the
officers involved were placed on routine administrative leave. The Lake
County Sheriff's Department is now leading this investigation. Reporting in Gary,
Emmy Victor WGN.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
News, Well, he would come over to the neighborhood, come
over to the neighbors, you know, when they were barbecuing.
But you didn't give him anything, and he turned into
an armed suspect. It's your fault. Armed woman fleeing from
a popo. Ooh a woman.
Speaker 30 (23:36):
Well, we are continuing to follow when officer involves shooting
in Louisville that left a suspect dead. It started after
a woman led police and a car chase and then
allegedly pulled a gun on officers and PC fives alone.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
A Quillen has been following the.
Speaker 30 (23:49):
Story for us since overnight and a lot of detectives
have finally cleared that scene in just the last hour.
Speaker 10 (23:57):
Yeah, the detectives have packed up the crime scene tape
here in the shopping center parking lot after about nine
hours of investigation by both the Louisville Police Department and
Texas Rangers. Now they blocked off most of this area
to traffic. It's the shopping center off of I thirty
five and MacArthur Boulevard. All happening since midnight, and it
(24:18):
took place just behind the back door of this Denny's.
The manager telling me that their overnight staff actually ducked
for cover when they heard those shots rang out. Now,
just in the last hour, the Terran County Medical Examiner
also confirming the suspect's name as forty three year old
Joanna Rogers. Louisville police say it all began when she
(24:38):
was pulled over on Highway one twenty one, found to
have a felony warrant, and while officers were double checking
her information, she then took off, leading police on a
chase through multiple cities, including Grapevine. At one point, Rogers
crash into a police car. That chase came to an
end right here in this parking lot when the suspects
vehicle became too damaged to keep going, and that is
(24:59):
when the Lewisville PU Least chief says the woman pulled
out a gun and resisted multiple commands by four different
officers on the scene to put the weapon down. He says,
officers shot at her, she was hit, and they immediately
performed life saving measures on her. She was pronounced dead
at a hospital later on. Now no officers were hurt,
but the chief added that it has been a tough
(25:19):
night for his department.
Speaker 31 (25:22):
I'm glad no other citizens were injured by any of
the actions that were taken tonight. I'm sorry that these
events have happened. I don't know what caused this person
to make the decisions that they made that causes to
react the way we did. But the officers were okay,
and they are obviously a little shaken by what happened.
Speaker 21 (25:39):
Now.
Speaker 10 (25:39):
The chief would not yet confirm whether Rogers had fired
shots from her weapon during the encounter, but says a
handgun was seized as evidence from her vehicle. He also
did not go into detail yet on the exact sequence
of events leading up to the suspect being shot, but
that is what the Texas Rangers are looking at as
the investigate whether the officer involved shooting was justified from
(26:00):
a criminal standpoint. Now, Louisville PD also conducting their own
internal investigation. We know that the four officers involved have
been placed on routine administrative leaves per department policy. Will
of course keep you updated as we get more information
on this case. Reporting in Louisville.
Speaker 4 (26:18):
A lot of quill and NBC by els Texans shooting

Speaker 7 (26:26):
Hi everyone recently.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
What is that drugon?
Speaker 1 (26:29):
So double click there, Mike, click.
Speaker 32 (26:33):
This video contains content that may be confronting the forty
eight year old woman who is at the address behind.
Speaker 5 (26:39):
Confronting yep, And I purposely left that in. I thought
it was just comical. Like that is okay this.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
Confronting.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
This video contains content that may be confronting.
Speaker 32 (26:54):
The forty eight year old woman who is at the
address behind me last night remains fighting for her life
in a creature condition in hospital. Police were called to
this property at Yarra Junction about half past five last
night when they heard screaming and yelling coming from the bedrooms.
Now inside, they found a woman who was being strangled
by her younger brother. Police say he'd use a samurai
(27:15):
sword to partially sever her arm when they directed him
to stop. He was then tasered. Police made more requests,
but when he refused to cooperate, the forty five year
old was shot and died at the scene. His sister
was flown to hospital in a critical condition and that's
where she remains today. We've spoken to neighbors who are
nearby and they shed some light on how the situation
(27:38):
unfolded last night.
Speaker 33 (27:39):
Well, we knew what had happened last night. The grapevine
around the country up here moves pretty quickly, so we
knew something major had happened with the helicopter and that
turning up. We had a fair idea of what had
gone on.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
But nothing was out than usual.
Speaker 33 (27:55):
There was just a big police presence and ambulance presence
and a helicopter and that was it.
Speaker 34 (28:01):
A quiet family, so the mum's lovely bump into her occasionally.
Don't often see the kids sometimes, you know, just wondering
out to get the groceries, you'll see them, but they
kept to themselves. She didn't often see them around.
Speaker 32 (28:18):
Forensics teams have visited the site this morning and Professional
Standards Command will oversee the police investigation, which is standard
practice whenever there is a fatal police shooter.
Speaker 4 (28:29):
Samurai, what was the starting that lobe? So the blue
she bled a samurai, I'll think of an armed man.
Speaker 8 (28:44):
Good evening and thank you for joining us.
Speaker 26 (28:46):
I'm Erica Stanish.
Speaker 8 (28:47):
Tonight, a suspect and Ligonier is dead after Stay police
say he allegedly opened fire at a Ligandier police officer
while they were conducting.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
A traffic stop.
Speaker 8 (28:57):
Katie Ka has been following this developing story now for hours.
Our Ricky Sayer is in Westmoreland County with the latest details.
Speaker 35 (29:04):
Ricky, Yeah, details beyond the headlines here are very light,
and part of that is because we were kept such
a distance from this scene, so it was hard to
speak directly with officials there, and when we did get
to speak with officials, they gave us some conflicting information.
Here's a shot from our Katie k drone team. It
shows this scene along Buddy Lane in Route thirty. We
(29:25):
did see a car towed away from the scene. We
saw a lot of police come and go throughout this evening.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
In that scene did clear.
Speaker 35 (29:33):
Around nine to thirty. Pennsylvania State Police told us this
started as a traffic stop. They said a man shot
at a Ligonier police officer. State Police told us it
then appears the driver of the vehicle turned the gun
on himself. That man died. We're told no one else
was injured. Meeting that officer was not hurt. Now, let's
(29:53):
get to some of the conflicting information.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
That we have.
Speaker 35 (29:56):
A representative of the DA's office came up to us
and said, no one shot at police. They told us
we'd get a call from a DA's office spokesperson. I
emailed that spokesperson my number and they replied back saying
they have no updates. County detectives are leading the investigation.
They are calling this a police related incident. They told
us there are no injuries to officers and no threats
(30:17):
to the community. Will also add that the family of
the man who died was brought directly to that scene.
Reporting in Ligonier Township. Ricky Sayer, Katie k Tevie News.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
And expert relief shots continue after this.
Speaker 36 (30:32):
Michael, the whole addendum of per department policy, all officers
involved have been placed on ministry of leave. That's like,
can you just eliminate that?
Speaker 32 (30:41):
I mean, it's like.
Speaker 36 (30:42):
Saying, per administrative policy, all officers involved wearing pants and underwear.
I don't need holise that.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
I don't know why they do it?
Speaker 28 (30:52):
Do you mean?
Speaker 4 (30:53):
Just do you? Are you asking me why do they
do it? Or why do we leave it in there?
Speaker 5 (31:00):
Because the requirement with underwear? Huh, what's the requirement for the underwear?
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Well?
Speaker 4 (31:05):
Yeah, and why can't I remove the tag off the
pillowcase or whatever it is, a mattress, mattress, mattress. Yeah,
I can't remove the tag except by a consumer. Oh well, okay,
whatever if it look, if it pisses you off that much,
I'll just stop. I'll stop them. The problem is, I
(31:27):
don't know what's going on after that. They may see
something very important after that. I know they rarely do,
but who knows. I see the Popolo shooting kill a
wanted suspect armed with a revolver.
Speaker 37 (31:40):
Tonight we're learning more about a deadly officer involves shooting
in Camden County. Today happened. You had had an avenue
and bait avenue in Berlin Township. Actually the Port of
Caroline Gogan just got an update from investigators and she
followed this report.
Speaker 17 (31:55):
CRUs have cleared the scene here along had an avenue
in Berlin Township. But they were here for hours this
afternoon and this evening really focused on the building behind
me Tonight. There are still many questions about why exactly
two State police detectives were called here in the first place,
and why they were investigating the man who was ultimately killed.
A quiet stretch of Hadden Avenue turned into a crime
(32:17):
scene this afternoon after official say a deadly officer involved
shooting took place here in Berlin Township.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
Actually don't know what happened, but just hearing it.
Speaker 17 (32:28):
Was a shock the New Jersey Attorney General's office as
two State Police detectives assigned to the US Marshall Service
were conducting that investigation involving a man when they encountered
him near Hadden and Bait Avenues. The AG's office says,
during that encounter, one detective fired his service weapon and
shot the man. Neighbors heard and saw it all unfold.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
I was right in the backyard right there. I heard
three pops.
Speaker 3 (32:51):
I saw the body drop, and then I saw the
officers go into action.
Speaker 10 (32:54):
One was radioing somewhere to get help, no doubt.
Speaker 17 (32:56):
Official say. The man was rushed to Cooper University Hospital,
where he died. The AG's office as a revolver was
recovered here at the scene this afternoon. More than a
dozen evidence markers were placed there outside of this home
as investigators from multiple agencies responded, and as neighbors looked on.
Speaker 7 (33:14):
It's a great family oriented area, so to hear something
like that it was shocking.
Speaker 17 (33:20):
The investigation into all of this is still ongoing. The
AG's office tells us they will also be investigating whether
that State Police detective was justified in pulling the trigger
this afternoon in Berlin Township, New Jersey. I'm Caroline Goggin
Channel six Action News, and of course.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
They've been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of
the investigation the popo shoot and kill and uh well, okay,
here we go and.
Speaker 36 (33:50):
With breaking news out of Huntington Park, an armed robber
shot and killed by police fox on his genus Silva.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
There for us, live, Gina Alex.
Speaker 18 (34:00):
The scene is still active.
Speaker 26 (34:01):
I will move out of the way so you can see.
Speaker 18 (34:03):
We are at the intersection of Seville Avenue and Walnut Street.
Investigators right now are calling through all the evidence found
at the location of the shooting, which took place in
a parking lot. Witnesses describe what they saw and they heard.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
Herd sirens and I heard I mean, it was like
multiple police cars just running down the street and.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
I just heard it, like bang bang bang bang.
Speaker 25 (34:24):
Like I really couldn't tell you how many times I
heard it, but it was more than like three times
for sure.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Because I just heard it. I was like, Wow, that
was loud.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 18 (34:34):
The shooting took place in the twenty six hundred block
of Walnut Street. Investigators say Southgate Police were conducting an
armed robbery investigation that happened several days ago. When they
arrived at the scene, they encountered the suspects sitting in
a green van investigators say he pointed a gun at
responding officers and that's when they opened fire.
Speaker 38 (34:54):
This afternoon, officers from the South Kate Police Department located
a male of twenty six hundred Buckle Walnut Avenue at
Huntington Park that was wanted for several armed robberies.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
He was in a vehicle.
Speaker 38 (35:07):
Once they tried to make contact with him, he produced
a firearm and an officer of all shooting occurred.
Speaker 18 (35:16):
And the suspect was pronounced dead at the same The
coroner has not arrived here at this location. The La
County Sheriff's Apartment is now leading this investigation, and we
