It is time for some Hollywood swinging, and we're going to talk through the
Grammy Awards from last night. Butbefore we do that, there is one
other story I wanted to make surewe got in here because it's pretty huge.
I don't know, not necessarily Hollywood, but word came down today from

Buckingham Palace that King Charles the Thirdhas cancer seventy five years old. Remember
he was in the news recently becausehe had to go in for a procedure
to treat his enlarged prostate, andof course we didn't handle that story response
we did not know. Now Ifeel bad but stuff. Yeah, so
diagnosed with cancer and they announced ittoday. Who's going to run the country?

Well, I guess he's still goingto, but you're not going to
do anything publicly for a while.Could we bring back the queen? Oh?
Good question? Back the queen?That's a good question. Do you
have any methods bringing back I'm reallyjust rifven here. Yeah. Well,

I mean you might be onto somethingif we could figure that out. I'm

statement they said during the King's recenthospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a
separate issue of concern was noted.Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of
cancer, and they didn't say whattype of cancer, but they did say

that he wouldn't be making any publicappearances while he's going through the treatment.
And I saw where he said orthe palace said that he personally called his
like siblings, and he personally calledpeople in his family Prince Harry or whatever
he's called. Now Harry, he'sout right, he doesn't care. He's

already on the way there. OhI thought he quit. He didn't.
Well, he quit his royal duties. Okay, but it's still his dad.
Okay, So yeah, that's hisdad. So he I saw was
going there to be with him.So so Harry will never be king.
Harry won't be I don't know.I don't know the exact order. I
think if something happened to William,then maybe Harry could be king. But

was released from the hospital. Soshe's back home. But there are some
crazy stories out there about her hospitalationand they never revealed why. They said
she had some sort of surgery onher like abdomen area, and I saw
one. There was one report thatI think they quickly squashed saying that she
had gone into a coma after hersurgery. So that was going around and

it it does sound like maybe thatwas more serious than they let on.
So it's kind of sad, likeboth of these things happening over there.
That's an uncomfortable word. Abdomen.You don't like that word? No,

talk through some of the things thatI thought were kind of interesting. But

about, please feel free. Sothis went down last night in Hollywood and

Trevor Noah was the host at theCrypto dot Com Arena. Now, which
one's that la? Right? Yeah, where the Lakers play Crypto dot Com
Okay, yeah, Verena's still theredespite Crypto not really truly not really being
there anymore. So Dua Lipa openedthings up with a performance kind of brought

the house down early, and thenTrevor Noah, it seemed like, did
a really really good job kind ofloosening the mood and getting people warmed up,
and he had pretty good reviews andapparently everyone usually thinks that he is
pretty good at this. In fact, people are so that he should be
the one that does it all ofthe time, because we've seen some bad

hosts in recent history, especially atthe Golden Globes, and Trevor Noah just
made it look kind of easy andknew how to make the right jokes and
not piss people off. There wasnone of that really the first what's fun
is it? If you're worried aboutnot pissing people off, Well, you
can still be funny and not pisspeople off. Okay, this is what

he said, really funny and pisspeople off. This is I feel like
the people at the Grammys all are. A lot of them are pissed off
on their own, Like there wasa lot of people looking unhappy or that
they didn't like who won, orthey didn't love a performance. I don't
know, that's just I guess howfamous people act. Maybe it's entitlement or

whatever. But his like, foran example, whenever it was starting off
and people were still walking into theroom, he was kind of doing live
commentary about people walking into the ballroom. As Taylor Swift walked into the ballroom,
he said, are you seeing what'shappening right now? Is Taylor Swift
moves through the room, the localeconomy or on those tables improves, So

like yeah, yeah, crisaid,can you see this magic right now talking
to all the people about the magicand the economy around their tables improving.
So look at this magic Lionel Richie. Now he's Linel wealthy. I was
kind of cheesy, was so,you're very rich, and then Taylor Swift
walked by and then he was wealthy. It's a friendly comedy here, friendly

comedy joke season. The first bigaward to be handed out was to Miley
Cyrus and she won her first everGrammy for the song Flowers. I believe
that one was like record of theYear, and it was cute. She

went up there. Mariah Carey wasthe one that presented her with the award,
and she kind of freaked out aboutbeing next to Mariah Carey, and
she asked her to stand next toher during the acceptance speech because she was
just so excited she was there.And then she told this story about a
butterfly, which is it's a nicestory, but I'm not gonna lie.
Reminded me a little bit of Groobstelling his very long winded moth joke.

If you haven't heard it, wellnow he can do it sometime. But
here's Miley Cyrus's butterfly story, Flowers, Mari's this EMC is gonna stand by
this MC for this because this isjust too icon. Oh my god.
I just got stuck in the rainand traffic and thought I was going to
miss this moment and I could havemissed the award. That's fine, but
not Mariah Carey. There's a storyI want to tell that sums up this

moment. So there was a littleboy that all he wanted was a butterfly,
and so his parents gave him abutterfly net, and he was so
excited. He just went outside outin the sun and started swinging, but
with no luck. He sat downon the ground. He finally let go
and he surrendered, and he wasokay that he wasn't going to capture this
butterfly. And right when he didis when the butterfly came and landed right

on the tip of his nose.And this song Flowers is my butterfly.
Thank you. Oh but she goesup something like that, and that's when
it came to her. That's whenit came to her. Flowers was her
butterfly. She also performed Flowers,which is just such a jam. So
I'm glad it won. She deservedit, her first Grammy. She'd been

nominated for a lot, like sevenor nine or something and had never won.
So it was a big night forher with the performance and winning.
And she looked pretty feel pretty good. Girlfriend's working out awful. Oh no,
it was a one way trip toskank City. I just meant like

her body, though I didn't likeher her hair. It's a great shape,
but good god, those prison tattoos. Yeah, too many tattoos,
too many tattoos. And she alwaysjust when she speaks. She's just always
a little out there, you know, you never know what she's gonna stay.
Yeah, and she quit being edgy. That was when she was young.

No, she's still trying. She'sstill trying. She's just still a
whole song saying she's not edgy anymore. Yeah, but she is. So
I think it was just her song. She's not quite as maybe she's not
doing all like the drugs and stuff, but her her aura is still definitely
edgy in the way she dresses andtalks. She came back on stage.

She won another award later in theshow too, and in her speech she
said she was trying to remember everybodyand making sure she thanked everybody right,
and she was like, oh,I think I forgot I don't think I
forgot anybody, but I did maybeforget to wear underwear. Okay. She
said that, so like she's tryingto be edgy, and then she like
ran off the stage or just fun. Yeah, I guess it's kind of

weird. I think, yeah,that'd be great underwear. Her dress was
let me see if I had thisride. I thought I saw that it
was made of like safety pins.Oh really, I didn't see that.
Maybe that was just on the redcarpet or something. I don't know.

Global Impact Award during the show lastnight, he went up there to accept

award. He had his daughter BlueIvy right next to him, and he
used this opportunity during the acceptance speechfor this award to call out the Grammys
for snubbing Beyonce in the past forAlbum of the Year, because you know,
it's music and it's opinion based.I don't want to embarrass this young
lady. But she has more Grammysthan everyone and never one album of a

year. And forget the Grammys fora second, just in life. As
my daughter sits in stairs at me, nervous as I am, you got

but I think that this whole albumis going to be a lot about
her ex Joe Alwen and their relationshipand their breakup released. Yeah, she
had only released one song really aboutthat breakup so far. It's called You're
Losing Me. And apparently the thoughtis that this is going to be all
about that that breakup because they weretogether for six years. I'm sure there's

a lot that went into that.But this is the secret thing that I
found out. So apparently Joe Alwenguy that the album is probably going to
be about. He was in agroup chat with a couple of friends while
they were dating, and he didan interview and revealed that the group chat

just like bitched about their significant others. So he was like, in this
group chat where oh god, she'ssuch a beating today or whatever, likely
complaining about Taylor. And so Taylorheard that, found out about it,
and wrote a whole album about it. And now the Tortured Poets Department,
you could kind of assume, isa play on that the Tortured Men's Club,

and this album is going to probablybe quite revealing. That is coming
out on April nineteenth. So thatwas a big moment in the show last
night because nobody was expecting it.The other big moment, I just want
to mention, we don't have muchtime, we can't play it. But
Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs, thatwas probably my favorite part when they throwing

on stage and saying fast Car togetheron the Grammys. Because of course,
Tracy Chapman initially wrote the song andput it out in nineteen eighty eight,
and now Luke Combs covered it andhe's a country singer and so it's kind
of a little bit of a countryversion of it, and it made it
huge. So Tracy Chapman has been, you know, reaping the benefits of

that and getting paid out or whatever. And I think just seeing them come
on stage together and perform it together. Is not only like okay, she's
very much on board with him coveringher song, but it also was really
beautiful and nobody had seen her heardfrom her in a long time, and
the audience just freaked out when theysaw Tracy Chapman on stage singing the song,

and then Luke Combs with her soundedreally it sounded really great, like
I want to download that version andlisten to it now. When he came
on there, I was thinking,man, sure would be cool if Tracy
Chapman showed up and the next thingyou knew there she was. Yeah,
it was. It was a prettybig surprise, which is cool when you
can pull off a big surprise likethat. At the Grammys, Celene Dion

also made a surprise appearance and presentedAlbum of the Year to Taylor Swift.
Billy Joel performed a new single,turned the Lights Back On, which was
a bit of a surprise as well. So a lot of really cool moments.
Joni Mitchell took the stage and sangand a lot of people were very

moved by that. She sounded good. She's dealing with some sort of mysterious
illness. Is it stiff body syndrome? No, that's Celene Dion. She's
got stiff body, stiff person syndrome. But Joni Mitchell's is more Jellen Moregellen's
disease. It's a rare health condition, she called it. She said,
I have this weird and curable diseasethat seems like it's from outer space.

She wrote in a book, abiography that she wrote back in twenty seventeen.
And she can't stand And I was. She was the main reason that
I was watching this thing to beginwith, because I love her. Yeah,
I just I've spent so many timenights back in the day driving from
one gig to another out in NorthDakota or Nebraska or somewhere with her on

the car, playing in the car. I just love her. What'd you
think of seen her last night?I loved it. Yeah, I mean
I was kind of leary at firstbecause I didn't want to. I wanted
her to be able to pull thisoff. Yeah, And given everything that's
happened, giving the illnesses and allthat she's gone through, the awful situation

that she's had to put up withover the last few years, I thought
she gave a really good account ofherself. You know, she can't really
sing like she used to, butif you know what to listen for and
listen closely, there were a fewmoments where she was able to bring it
back just for a tick or two. Yeah, and that was neat.
Yeah, well it was. Itwas a really fun show. I heard

really nothing but positive reviews about itand about seeing people like Joni Mitchell and
Celine Dion and all of the performanceswere really good. It was a lot
