(00:08):
Let's see. It's about a day. Give up a day off your life
to never hear that again. YeahI would, Okay, I wouldn't.
The thing about that is I usedto have to play it in bands,
so I got a snoop full ofit things. Okay. Anyway, we're

(00:30):
out here at PGA Omni in Frisco, and look at it. Oh,
look at that, Look at it, Look at it. Look at it.
Man. It's awesome out here becausethere's golf. There's nothing but golf.
It's a golf kind of place. It is a golf kind of place,
and you can come out here andget you some snackage. They're hosting

(00:50):
a Taste of Augusta with menu itemsfrom past winners, including Scottie, who
I believe is tied for the leadright now, and Decki metsu Yama,
John Rahm, Haneki Matsui no matsuYama. You can get a pimento cheese
sandwich. Mm mmmm. We gotall the master's foods out here. Everybody
likes those, yeah, yep, yeah, all right, everybody likes this

(01:11):
too. Hey. Look it's Julieat the sports desk. Hey, everybody,
it is Julie. Out here issports up here in Frisco at the
PGA Golf Course. It is beautiful, and I figured since we're out here,
why not start with a little bitof master's talk, Because, yes,
Jeff, you just mentioned it.We do have a tie for a

(01:34):
lead right now at the top ofthe leaderboard, and it's a couple of
people who you might predict would beat the top of the leaderboard. We
have Scottie Scheffler and Bryce and dShambo that are setting the pace right now
in Augusta. Yeah, Bryson isno longer rocking the look that he went
with for a while that worked terriblyfor him, uh huh, And he

(01:57):
was obsessed with becoming the incredible Hulkand just hit the ball nine thousand yards.
Yeah, it just like makes senseto me. If I can hit
it way further than everybody else,I'll be better than them. That didn't
work out for you, get allbuffed up and stuff. Yeah yeah,
yeah, but he's gone back toregular human size and it's helped his golf
game, I guess. Yeah, the buffed up thing worked for him for
a little while. But I havea couple of interesting tidbits about each of

(02:17):
those two and one of them isvery Bryce and d Shambau. We have
Bryce and d Shambeau, and sohe's not all bulked up in stuff anymore.
But he is playing with some brandnew golf clubs that were just approved
by the PGA a couple of daysago. Oh, he does. He's
at a big well, he's hiswhole deal is like that, he's almost

(02:40):
too smart for his own good, and he thinks so thinks so much about
everything, and he thought he hadfigured it out by eating all the meat
and buffing up and whatever and beingable to drive the ball further than anybody
else, and that worked for awhile, And it seems like now that
he's just a regular human, maybehe's thinking about what else can I do
to try and get an edge oneverybody else? Because I do feel like

(03:04):
if you're if you're a PGA golfer, don't you kind of know like what
your ceiling is. I guess like, if you're really good, it'd be
a flash in the pan kind ofthing if all of a sudden you just
had like a great round and we'reable to win the Masters out of nowhereor
whatever. So I could see whereyou're kind of trying to think how you

(03:24):
could get an edge on somebody elseif you're not quite you know, at
the same level as the person who'swinning all of the tournaments like Scotti,
Scheffler Man. I'll bet inside thatworld, all those guys never stopped looking
for at the edge. Yeah.Yeah, So he's looking to some new
golf clubs. He did shoot aseven under sixty five in the first round

(03:46):
yesterday, and he's playing with acustom set of single length irons right now
that are made by a little knownclub maker that's called Evoda. And they're
made by three D printing, Okay, which is the most confusing thing in
the world to me as someone who'snever seen a three D printer or really
understood what it means. Yeah,I have no idea what that means.
It's a whole thing. Yeah,I have no idea what mean, Like,

(04:09):
I does that mean they print asgolf clubs or what it's like you
design them and you enter it intothis little machine, and the machines like
and creates like a custom. Ihadn't heard about three D printing for golf
clubs. I'd actually heard about itfor like houses, Like three D printing
houses were becoming a thing because youcould make a whole bunch more of them.

(04:29):
You could make them very efficiently. You enter it in, it's like
basically a robot's making all of thesethings. Now you type something in and
they three D print it. I'veseen kids with like three D printing toys
where you kind of like design atoy and or you design whatever toy you
want and you enter it in andall of a sudden, it prints out
of this machine and you have yourtoy. It's bizarre. And so I

(04:50):
was real surprised to hear that hedid this with golf clubs and he had
to get it approved just before theMasters began. So according to this company's
website, it's called evoda. Itold you, it's a Hebrew word that
has multiple meanings, one of whichis precision. So they're trying to pinpoint

(05:11):
every single like specific that you couldwant in a golf club and figure out
how to make it for you.And they make two different types of irons.
They have one length irons like whathe's used to or what he had
been used to when he was sponsoredby Cobra, and then they have combo
length irons. But basically he mappedout exactly what he wanted these irons to
be. This company initially found asupplier in China who looked at these irons

(05:38):
and what Bryson d. Schambau wantedand said, no, it can't be
done. Oh no, yeah, and so they had to like go find
a different supplier and a different wayto get this done. And the person
who's kind of explaining all of thisis welcome to Bryson's world, Like this
is what you have to deal withwhen you're trying to work with him.
But it's so precise, and he'strying. He seems like he knows exactly

(05:59):
what it is that he want onceand so now he seeked out three D
printing to try and create the perfectgolf club. His irons failed to pass
the test with the USGA as recentlyas last week. As they're doing like
their quality control or whatever, makingsure that nobody's cheating, they were corked.
They said that the grooves were toonarrow initially because of the way a

(06:23):
three D printer prints in layers.Okay, this is insane. He's also
he's got to be I don't knowif he's the only one. By the
way, Bryson now leading at theMaster's seven under. I don't know if
he's the only one, but ifhe's not, he's one of the very
few that has the one length irons. So like every iron in his bag

(06:44):
from nine iron up to whatever,he has a three or four iron to
the same length. That's not normalnormally you're nine iron is the shortest iron.
The eight irons a little longer, and they get a little and little.
And as someone who picked up golfa few years ago or started to,
yeah, that makes sense to me. I want all my swings to
be the same. Why wouldn't Ihave him all be the same leg right?
But no one else does that. It's crazy. So is he playing

(07:05):
with cork clubs? It must becorked. Yeah, I don't know what
it is, three D three Dprinted clubs. So we need to start
getting things corked. And baseball corkbats are illegal, yeah, because the
ball would way further when they wouldhit it with them. What would we
court? I don't know. Yeah, what do you do in life that

(07:27):
you want to court? I don'tknow. But if corking does this,
and baseball and golf, we mustbe able to put it to you somehow.
Yeah, well it's it's kind ofa wild story. But yeah,
after the USGA said that the initialthree D printed golf clubs would not fly,
then the manager of Bryson's company, which is called Bad, called what

(07:51):
bad Bad. I'm guessing those areinitials, his initials, B, A,
D P. Okay, right,I don't know what. They buffed
and grinded out all of those groovesuntil the USGA signed off on these clubs
and that was on Monday, andthen he decided to put them into play
for the Masters, the biggest tournamentof the year. And here he is

(08:11):
leading the way. So did heoutsmart golf once again? We'll see with
these three D printed clubs. Hedefinitely didn't hit his te shot well because
he stood there for a while thathe pointed to the right. And now
people are walking around in the woods. Oh oh, that's never good.
When we were walking around in thewoods, that's never a good thing.
Of course, the favorite heading intothis was Scottie Scheffler, and he's still

(08:35):
right there with him with Bryce andDeschambeau at the top of the leaderboard or
in second now, I guess aswe speak. But the whole story around
him this weekend is like, youknow, I've seen the joke made that
the only way that anybody or theonly person that could beat him is his
wife essentially, or the only personthat could stand in the way of him
winning, because his wife is pregnant. She's due in two weeks. But

(08:56):
they have said that if something wereto happen and she into labor, he's
gonna leave. Well, yeah, that's how much money they have. Yeah,
they have enough money. It's likeit's fine leading the Masters, and
he said that they have figured itout, so like, you know,
she's got her line of communication tohim at all times while he's out there
on the course, and that ifthey do get the news, he's just
gonna bail. That's how you knowhe's not gonna be an all time great

(09:20):
to Roddy. He's got his priority. He's mixed up. Yeah, you
don't leave. Think Tiger would havedone that. No, finish the round,
take a PJ say what's up tothe baby? R Jay back?
Finish up, PJ back Still winTiger won over. I don't know what
the cut line is and stuff.Yeah, but he's going Yeah, he's
uh. I think he was evenyesterday on his first round. Now he's

(09:43):
won over, so he's hanging inthere around twenty ninth, I think,
And I'm glad he's such a golfspare. Oh why that's like, but
for him, that's pretty good.I think the last term he couldn't even
I know I'm saying, I'm saying, I'm saying that this is the way
the game goes for him. Now, the camera doesn't know where his ball
went when they thought it was goingto be on the green, so that

(10:03):
probably wasn't a great shot. Thecamera shows the green and then it starts
searching around like where'd it go?Yeah, it's always just sad too,
Like I just caught a glimpse ofhim walking around after that shot and he
just doesn't walk very well. Butit is really cool that he's out there
competing and he did tell the worldthat he thinks he has a shot to
win. I mean he got it. Yeah, Okay, he got away
with that car wreck and we justall forgot that it happened and stopped asking

(10:26):
what he was doing on that roadat that time and what was in his
system, and we all just movedon. So good for him. Yeah,
yeah, sore, you go alittle bit of master stuff. I'll
take a quick buzzer here. TheDallas Mavericks have their final home game of
the regular season going down to nightagainst Detroit, and this one, assuming

(10:48):
the Mavericks try hard and play people, should be a beatdown. Detroit not
a good team right now. TheMavericks, meanwhile, sixteen and two in
their last eighteen. Detroit's lost fourteento fifteen, and they've said a franchise
record for losses this season. Hellyeah at thirteen and sixty seven. Hell
yeah, Hell yah, they're crushing. What a beating for all of those

(11:13):
players and fans. Man, thosethey've done some bad teams over the years
too. Yeah, if this istheir franchise record for losses, they must
be really bad. Yeah. Inthe NBA, that's how you get good.
Yeah, that's the goal. Althoughapparently this is a really bad year
for that. A terrible draft.Yeah, but you know, just suck

(11:35):
again next year'll get you a couplegood years. Yeah, that'll work out
for you eventually. Yeah. Nobody'sin a hurry here. So the Mavericks
obviously in a good spot. They'velocked up the five seed in the playoffs.
They know they're going to be facingthe Pistons in the first round.
I guess there's oh sorry, yeah, Clippers. Pistons are who they're playing
tonight, Clippers in the first round. And I guess there's a small chance

(11:58):
that they could move up to numberfour still and have home court advantage against
the Clippers. So there is alittle bit left to play for. But
they're in a good spot and we'llsee. I think Kyrie is out tonight,
he's already been ruled out. Lucalisted as questionable for this one.
And then I'd rest them both, you would, yeah, I would.

(12:24):
I would. Yeah. I mean, I guess i'd rest them both.
And there's one game after this,I'd rest them for that too. Yeah,
it makes sense. But I guess, like I said yesterday, I
bet these guys kind of can decidewhether or not they want to play.
I'm sure they can based on howtheir body's feeling and if they want to
keep moving. But if I wasa coach, I would tell them,
no, no sick rest. We'regoing to need you fresh or as fresh

(12:48):
as you can be. Yeah.If the Mavericks are able to get this
one done tonight, it'll be theirsixth straight win and that is going down
later this evening. I believe likeseven forty or something on the freak here
tonight. I'll take a quick buzzerhere, Grooby. We had the Rangers
game on yesterday during our show.It was another loss, one to zero

(13:11):
to Oakland in the day game beforethe team took off for Houston where they
will open up a series tonight.A decent outing for John Gray who was
getting to start for Texas yesterday.Went five innings, three hits, one
earned run, but there was ahome run by Seth Brown and the second

(13:31):
inning for Oakland and that held upthe entire day in game and we lost
one to zero. On the wholethough, I was under the impression that
the Gray Wolf was having a prettytough game, but no, he was
not. He was actually quite good. Yeah. I mean, I'll take
that one run right any day ofthe week. He's got to feel pretty
good about yeah. Yeah. Yeah, always tough though when you lose to

(13:58):
Oakland. What was it with threed Yeah, So now they're in Houston.
I believe it's a Dane Dunning starttonight, another guy who could use
a good quality start, uh forthe Rangers. So we'll see how that
one goes down this evening in Houston. I will take another quick buzzer here,

(14:20):
Grooby. The Dnalas Stars played theWinnipeg Jets last night at home and
it was a big game, bigdivision rivalry. Got Rick Bonus back in
town, their former coach. He'sstill the coach of the Jets, still
going strong after everyone thought he wasgoing to retire. And they lost three
to zero at home. But justone of those I think, because they

(14:46):
are in such a good spot, you just have to you can't really stress
about that. You just have tokeep on moving. And I believe there's
just two games or something remaining inthe regular season. But I did see
some cool news for Jim Nilt becausehe was named as the Stars general manager.
He was named today the associate generalmanager for Hockey Canada for the upcoming

(15:11):
Four Nations face off in twenty twentyfive. He was also named the assistant
general manager for the twenty twenty sixCanadian Olympic team. Very nice. So
congrats to Jim Nill. Very nice. Who is I think the best general
manager in the NHL, if notone of the you know, top couple
gms. So it's good to seehim getting this recognition, and that's pretty

(15:33):
cool assistant GM for the Canadian Olympicteam, especially since he's a guy who
seems to enjoy working underground, doesn'tseek a lot of attention for what he
does or anything like that. Hejust goes about his business. But he's
got a plan, he's got anidea, and the Stars are are have
have improved under on his walk verymuch so and yet to be determined what

(15:56):
they do this season, but thisis probably the best team they've had in
his you know, I'm among thetop teams that he's had in his tenure
with the Stars. I can't sayit's the best team because we've had some
good teams and we haven't seen whatthis team's gonna do yet, but to
be in the running for the President'sTrophy is pretty impressive for the Dallas Stars
right now. And I'd say it'sabout time to check in with Dirty.

(16:19):
Oh. Guess what day it is? Guess what day it is? Huh?
Anybody, that's one of the bestdays of the year. Not just
because we're out here at PGA Frisco. I mean, like that's great,
you know, at the OMNIPGA FriscoResort, we enjoy that, but it's
also National grilled Cheese Sandwich Day,the finest sandwich and all the land the

(16:41):
grilled cheese sandwich, And so todaywe pay homage with the vanity sandwich and
all the land and all the land, There's never been a sandwich better than
the grilled cheese sandwich. Is itlike a grilled cheese week or something?
I don't know. Why do theytalk about grilled cheese yesterday? Because you
said it was grilled cheese Day.I was like, fine, New day
or something, and then we gotinto grilled cheese. Yeah, We've talked

(17:03):
about grilled cheese a lot. I'mgonna make three of them tonight because I
felt nobody has the balls to dothat. You know, you make soup,
and you might make yourself two grilledcheese if you're hungry. Nobody goes
three. I've never seen anybody gothree. I'm going three, going three,
I'm going three? All right,I want to see a picture of
it. Okay, I'll send youa picture of my chicken noodle soup and
my three grilled cheese. How aboutan Instagram live of you eating three grilled

(17:27):
cheese sandwiches under the freaks Instagram.I don't want to do all that.
Come on, Jeff, it's allabout the socials engagement. Yeah, come
on, man, all right,I met you eating three grilled cheeses could
do really well for us, Jeff, here having three grilled cheeses on Friday
night. What, yeah, doan ama while you're doing it. I'll

(17:48):
do an ama with a grilled cheesesandwich, please do now. It immediately
stops being a grilled cheese sandwich ifyou put anything else on it. Right,
Because sometimes when I'm making a grilledcheese I'll realize I have what about
ham in the fridge or something.I'll throw a couple of slices on there,
and that's no longer a grilled cheesethat's now a ham sandwich. Right,
yes, yes, the ham takesover the situation, okay, or

(18:10):
at least interferes with it. Andit can take grilled ham and cheese.
Grilled ham, and she have toadd words and that defeat that is not
true grilled cheese. Oh, shoot, gravy one more time. Yeah,
talking about ham, mostly talking aboutcheese, but also talking about ham.

(18:30):
Yeah. It is funny though, because you can have a grilled cheese and
you put the ham on the grilledcheese, and the cheese totally loses the
naming rights to the sandwich. Yeah, the ham definitely, Yeah, the
ham takes over. Definitely. Notvery fair the precedence, for sure.
I guess that's why we need seventeengrilled cheese days to help the cheese with
It's confident. Y'all ever go doubleslice? You ever go two cheeses on

(18:51):
there? I don't grilled cheese.I don't really grilled cheese. Yeah,
I told you this. I don'tknow what the cheese is like the best
thing you ever made? Like cheese? You like? You don't? You
don't like cheese? I love cheese, But why don't you grill it with
bread? Well, the honeywheats,I don't know. I don't need a
lot of things with breads. That'sprobably why. What about ham? What

(19:12):
about ham? I do like ham, and I don't really put it on
bread. I'll eat ham all byitself. I'm not afraid. I don't
need to dumb down my ham. That's weird. If I'm gonna eat,
if I'm gonna have ham, whatabout it? I like I'd have to
at least grab a piece of bread. To fold around the ham. You
can't. You can't raw dog ham. You cannot just shovel sure slices of

(19:37):
absolutely ham in your I don't thinkthat absolute proper use of that term.
What just because you're eating ham withoutanything else does not mean you're raw dogging
ham. Ham is a thing likeham is its own thing that doesn't need
to be dogged at all. Youare you are so if I eat a

(19:59):
steak and I dog in a steak, no, that's how you eat a
steak. You're eating a steak. You are you eating anything with it?
Doesn't then you're then you're raw dogin the steak anything with it. If
you're eating at in if you're eatinga slice of ham, that is actually
like you know, at Christmas, big old chunk like that's ham. But

(20:25):
if you're talking you went to thegrocery store, to the deli section and
got the thin slices of ham,and you're shoveling that in your mouth,
that's raw dogging because it's not builtthis It is not built for that ham.
No, it's not built for eatingbeing eaten a low the chunk,
a big old chunk off of theChristmas ham. Yes, okay, well
that's but not if you're opening outof the sandwich meat bag that is that

(20:45):
is raw. Oh I'll do that. I'll do that. You ever go
up to the Christmas Ham and justkind of reach in there and pull out
a big chunk? I do that, that'll do? Oh yeah, nice
juicy? Oh yeah, that's good. Today's National Dive Bar Day. Text
in your favorite one, your favoritedive bar. We do like dive bars,

(21:07):
Yes, we do. We actuallyown the rights to one. What
is that lunch? Oh yeah,we do have right stands, Liquid Landing
and Cosmos goat ships, all ofthem, all of them, Mikes,
Gemini, Twin twin, How doI love them? Is Barley dive?
Is Mileo is a dive mis Barley'stoo big? Yeah, it's too big

(21:33):
for one and they have a largelycollege clientele. Yeah that sucks. So
that does it? Say dive barto me? Uh? I forgot the
other one I was thinking of.It doesn't matter all right? Nasty yeah
one, nasty yeah yeah one.Nostalgia is and that's a divy. I

(21:55):
don't want to go there again.Let's go, let's go. It's Friday,
It's karaoke night. Okay, it'skaraoke. Okay, tonight, I
gotta run by my parents house andprint off the wedding script for tomorrow.
I don't know what I'm supposed tosay. Oh, can we get you
all drunk before you have to goofficiate a wedding? That'd be fun.
Yeah yeah yah. I'll be runup here and get my script, run
back down to the house and feedmy dogs, and then uber over to

(22:15):
One Nasty and we'll tear that jointdown. Cool. Yeah, that'll be
good. I'm saying. If wego, you're singing, yeah, okay.
Well, we got to go earlierbecause when we show up, when
we usually show up, they're like, no, you can't sign up anymore.
There's only two hours left and wehave seven thousand people signed up.
We got to get there early. That's true. They don't even accept your
cash. Yeah, we gotta beready. Coming up next, it is

(22:36):
indeed time for Jeff's bucket. Ohcrap, live artillery shells in the backyard.
