couple of things to talk to youabout that have crossed my radar screen with
this thing, one of which wasthe pickup of Johnny Quaito. Yeah,
Johnny Quaito is a long time veteranpitcher. He is thirty eight years old.
He has spent his entire uh,let's see, let me put all

my glasses so I can read this, Okay, all right, his entire
sixteen year career as pretty much astarter. He has appeared in three hundred
and sixty eight games in the majorleagues and started three hundred and sixty three
of them, and three of thosethat he did not start were last year.

So this is a guy who hasbeen a starter almost his entire career.
Any feel for what the plans forhim might be, No, it's
truly. I talked to Bouch aboutit today. It's a little too early
to tell timeline exactly what the rolewould be, all that kind of stuff.
Obviously, it's a minor league deal. Boach had familiarity with him from

his time in Excuse Me San Francisco. So said, he's a great teammate,
really good energy. He used theword entertaining, which give me all
the entertainment makes things fun for me. Uh so, yeah, we'll see.
I think that they it's kind oflike, what do you have to
lose with a guy like that,very little, and so why not to

add to your depth and see whathe's got left in the tank? You
know, And since Boach does knowhim, and I'm very aware that you
know this as well as anybody.A lot of the time, if a
guy like Boach has had somebody alongthe way and the guy is just out
there hanging and there's no real indicationthat he's ready to give it up yet,

if you know him and you knowhe's a good dude and you know
he's not going to come in hereand screw stuff up or anything like that,
then why not. Yeah, it'sa really low risk proposition. You
know, from from the Rangers standpoint, you can't ever have too much pitching,
and lord knows we you know,we need as many healthy pitchers as

we can at this point in time. So it's just adding to that depth.
It's something that came huge, youknow when you look at the way
things went down last season, bothfrom the position player side and from the
pitching side, and so I thinkthey're always looking to do that not all
of these types of signings are goingto hit, but you know it can't

hurt to try. Everybody glad tohave Nate low back. Yeah, he's
just such a good dude. He'ssuch a great presence in the clubhouse.
He keeps you know, loose,and you know they flip flop. They
put him back in that three holetoday to see if maybe that'll shake some
things up. Offensively pumped Carter,I think down to five. So,

I mean, this thing misses JoshYoung and we saw it last season,
and I think I said it rightwhen Josh went down. And he's a
big I'm not saying he's the mostimportant part of this offense, but where
he falls in that lineup and theconsistency that he brings is huge. And
when you've got a hole like thatin the middle, it's hard to make

up for. And so you know, Nate getting Nate back was big,
and I think he'll he'll round intointo form, you know here quickly,
and hopefully this offense will get jumpstarted. But you know, I think
right now, because of the injuriesthat you've sustained, kind of where you're
at. You know, you're sittingat five hundred. We you know,

it's an old baseball cliche. Youcan't win in division in April, but
you sure can lose it. Andso I think that they can just survive,
you know, until they get theirfull compliment of players and until the
offense starts to click. I mean, you've got all the all the pieces
minus Josh, and it just hasn'treally We've seen very limited spurts of it,

but they just haven't been sustainable,and so they need to get something
going offensively, and you know,you'd like to see it happen here at
home, especially when you're on gametwo of a nine game home stand.
Emily, the thing I care mostabout is I saw on the GRAM yesterday
as I was doing scrolling as Iwant to do, but I saw a
picture of a ring and you werewearing it. And so it appears that

you have your World Series ring andit looks amazing, and so all I
want to know is how did itgo? Like? What was it?
Did you get a little ceremony ordid somebody just hand it to you in
a back office somewhere? What wasit? Like? How much do you
love it? Oh? My god? So all those things they had you
know, for non players and staff, they had a luncheon when we were

on the road in Detroit last week, and so those of us who were
not able to be at that werepresented yesterday with ours in one of the
executive offices here at the ballpark.Neil Leebman and Bray Davis were there,
along with John Blake and Angie Twins, And there was five of us from
the broadcast side and the meadia relationsside that got that got our rings yesterday.

And I told Julie, we tapethe mom game today, and you
know, it's like I've kind ofjoked about it and talked about it,
could wait for it, and thenonce I got it, I felt weird.
I felt weird about getting it,and I kind of felt like a
little bit of imposter syndrome. Ididn't deserve it, and I didn't you
know, throw any pitches and hitme balls and you know, all those
things. But nonetheless, I'm soincredibly grateful for those who were directly responsible

for, you know, this organization'ssuccess. And there are so many not
just the players on the field,but those who get them ready, those
who make their their lives easier sothey can play the game at the highest
level. The scouts that you know, are you know, missing countless days
away from their families trying to youknow, evaluate talent and bring this organization

the best players possible. And soit was a it was it's a really
cool thing to have. And Ijust feel like, you know, it's
it's something super super cool that thatno one can ever take away from me
unless I get really really bad financialstraits and then you know a lot of
resort something you know, on eBayor something. But it's really cool.

Absolutely, without question, Michael takeit. Championship jewelry is weird,
right, because, like it's aring. A in theory, a ring
is to be worn on your finger. But they're so big and there's so
much going on that I don't feellike that's something that most people would really

wear have on in your day today life. If you wanted to write,

one I got is definitely not asbig as the players. It is very
comparables. The biggest thing is thatit doesn't you know how you can take

Rangers the seats the next season andGerald walked. I remember passing him in
the tunnel and he's like in hissliding shorts and a you know, a
long sleep dry fit shirt with hisshower shoes on, and was like walking
across to the clubhouse to our clubhouseto like go show it off. I

was like, this is so incrediblyawkward. Right now, you're half naked,
you know, in the tunnel,going to the opposing dugout or opposing
clubhouse that you used to be into brag about your World Series ring.
It was a very strange flex.Yeah, but how cool would it be
if like a Doley swore his againstthe Astros in a game? That would
be pretty cool. One other storykind of in that same vein. I

remember when the Braves came to townwhen Watch was with him the year after
they won the World Series, andWash was doing this doing like infield drills
with like Odd the album's or somebody, and he I go over to talk
to him, and before I caneven say hello, he throws me his
ring in one of those little jewelrybag and he's like check this out him

And I was like, oh,Wash, you're bringing this is awesome.
So I love it. I mean, like talk to it at me like
he wanted. I caught it.I was really good, proud, But
yeah, I mean, you wantto show it up, especially to me
if you're I mean, I don'tknow, I mean, if you're if
you can you imagine if you're CoreySeeger like in the MVP of the stinking

thing and be like, oh,yeah, I'm wearing this ring. I'm
wearing it everywhere, you know,in the shower, to bed, whatever.
But I don't know, I thinkit's just weird for at least it's

games in Frisco, I saw videoof Nathaniel Lowe. I believe it was
low and it cracked me up.So I saw Josh Sport and I believe
he was wearing the full rough Rider'suniform. But when I saw low he
was wearing his Rangers batting helmet,his Rangers pants, and only the Rider's

jersey. And I just think thatthat is hilarious that I guess the big
leaguers take whatever they want of theirown and they just have to wear the
jersey. But I don't know whyI got such a kick out of it,
but it cracked me up. Butdoes that surprise you with NATHANIELO.
I mean, I don't know.It's just like I'll just put all my
Ranger stuff on. I guess I'llwear your stupid Jersey if I have to,

but yeah, no, I'll definitelyask him. I'll definitely ask him.
Yeah it was neat, but yeah, I would assume like batting helmet,
like you don't really want to messwith somebody else's batting helmet. I
mean, you've got one that fitsyou good. It just looks funny because
it's blue. Writers were not bluewell and doesn't match. Like whenever somebody

would get traded to the Stars,they oftentimes where their old gear because that's
the gear that is, you know, fits them the best and has hold
it to them and it's comfortable.But it looked really funny, and then
of course it takes a little bitof time to get the new gear.

real weird. It's like, no, something makes your brain hurt a little
bit. It's not how it's supposedto look. As far as the offense,
so emily like, I'm sure theteam isn't worried about it. I

just said that people are still kindof settling in and you have some guys

that are you know, came offinjuries, and you have the young guys
like Evan Carter and whyitet Langford whoare getting used to pitching at this level.
I don't know, what do you, I guess chalk it all up
to right now when it comes tothe hitting, because it was supposed to
be the strength of this team andnow we're looking at a couple of days
where they've been shut out at home, and it's seems like, hopefully it's

one of those things if you getone or two going, everybody else will
follow. Maybe tonight. Yeah,And I think it's I think it's a
combination of everything you just said,Julie. I mean, I really,
I don't think he's going point toone thing. I mean, Corey one

this offense is that there are somany proven hitters like Marcus and Corey and

a Doolies that that have hit consistentlyover a you know, more than one
or two season fan to where youyou know that they're gonna they're going to
round back into form and then itis, you know, it's very contagious,
as they say, and and onthe on the other side of things,

each other, and you know,I think it's there's another good thing is
that there is the common hand ofBruce Bochi. You'll you know, push

that, where I think we've seenin seasons past with other managers that you

keep running these guys out there andlet them, let them work it out,
and showing faith in him and confidencein him and not not panicking,

those rehab starts are not you know, as productive as he'd like, that
might be different. But I thinkif all goes well, he'll do a
couple and then me back up here, you know, first week in May,

a huge you know, boosts forthe for the entire staff, for the
entire team, you know, tohave a guy like that back in the
dugout on a consistent basis and thenon the mound every six days. Why
