(00:11):
All right, fine, thirty fouryou were listening to ninety seven one the
freak. As we said, theRangers did lose today to Seattle four to
three. Is an Andrew Heany game, which unfortunately pretty much tells you all
you need to know. What doyou mean? Well, what do you

(00:34):
mean? He was not terrible? What did you mean? Every team I
watch Andrew Heany, it just makesme really need a martini. I just

(00:57):
sit there and look at the TVand gore a meaty almost like after they
see he it's like you just gottawipe the whole slate cleaning. When he

(01:21):
pictures it tends to bring the temperaturedown in my house. I need to
put on a beanie. See shouldbe you started this? You know?

(01:42):
You look at his line and it'sit's there's been worse. Six innings,
four runs, five hits, didn'twalk anybody. I was waiting for the
rise. Druck out seven sounds funny. You weren't going to rhyme that was
This isn't going the direction I thought. He's taking a line way to get

(02:04):
to the rhyme. If you wantto be excited about something, doyone want
to be interested in something? Hewas followed by cole Winn, who went
two innings, gave up neither run, hit nor walk, and struck out
four. So so with whin doyou win? Cole Win's a little bit

(02:30):
of a younger guy, so afterhe was done, he might have gone
home and watched The Boy Meets World, which of course has mister Feenie.
That's the pre It was just alittle too working to Hey, let us

(02:53):
to the Mexican. You just callhim a WEENI. I was thinking about
Wei, but I didn't want tosay it. I'm glad you did.
Okay, yeah, okay. Everytime that guy takes the hell, another

(03:17):
loss shows up in that column takingmedical wish. I tried my screen.

(03:46):
Okay, you know what what arewe doing? I don't know. I'm
just feeling like I'm just feeling likewe've had sodas and yea, there's been
some fire bought cookies. I justneed to go order some broccolini. Yeah,

(04:09):
I just need to get right.I don't think that worked. I
don't think your's work. You're right, So what what was wrong with broccoli?
This long whiting road to get toa random vegetable? How related to
the it rhymes with a yeah, yeah, no, no, I got
that part. Yeah, yeah, all right. Well some of ours have

(04:31):
been good, some of ours haven'tbeen good. We're trying. Way it
goes. Where do we need togo to all this? Well, there's
only one place that I know of, that place you go when the day
is done, that place that youdrive by and you ask yourself should I
go or should I not? Andyou know the answer. You always going.

(04:53):
You gotta go because it's your place. It's your kind of place,
place where they know you and youknow them. It's a place where you
can take the edge off a littlebit. It's a place where the lights
are damn the music swings, butit's never too loud and you don't even
have to tell them when to makeit a double. It's a place where

(05:15):
the skirts are tight and the necklinesplunge. Now you may say, come
on and a place like that, but there is. It's the Sunset Lounge.
Go on, step inside the greendoor, have a seat at the

(05:36):
bar, and get in the grooveat the Sunset Lounge with the Speakeasy on
ninety seven one the Freak. Yeah, yeah, we're here, We are
here. We're doing it. BuffaloWild Wings and grapevine. Yeah, we're

(05:57):
getting close to what comes next next, what comes next and what comes next
is gonna be something you're going towant to hear because it is. It
is not the news junkies. Instead, it can be yeah, it can't.
Oh, it can be. Yeah, it can hop my ass on

(06:19):
one fourteen and take it to thehouse. Now we're going to cover the
NFL draft. Katie and I aregonna stick around. Yes, the great
Kevin Turner will be here in justa bit for the Oh no drinking that
hany martini over there across the street. You can't even get here a little
early and do a segment with this, he said, He was pud.

(06:42):
I think we should go on strike. Let's not speak until Kevin arrives.
Logo. All right, So thatdidn't last. I couldn't anyone. Jeff

(07:03):
still doing it. You don't realizehow uncomfortable silence is until your job is
to fill it. Then it getsquiet. You picture what's going on back
at headquarters. People are running aroundwith fire extinguishers, assuming something is terribly
broken. Maybe all right, isthere going to be a surprise at the

(07:25):
top of the draft tonight? Arewe going to see a last minute trade.
Not well going to not at thevery everything out of sync, not
at the very, very very top. But it will be fun because just
you know, trying to stay upto date and keep it moving with the

(07:45):
draft things. I have seen predictionsthat there could be ten or more trades
in the first round, like itcould get wild ass sounds fun. One
is locked in. Caleb Williams isgoing to be the first pick. He's
gonna be Chicago Bear. I thinktwo is locked in. Three might be

(08:09):
locked in, but there is who'stwo? Jayden Daniels, the LSU quarterback.
Okay, I believe that's locked in, and that would be to Washington.
The third pick is New England's.They don't have a quarterback, and
yet they've kind of been open aboutYeah, I mean for the right haul.

(08:30):
I mean, if you called andblew us away, but Scuttlebutt would
say they're probably taking Drake May,the North Carolina quarterback. And then we
get to having fun because Arizona couldsit there and pick the first non quarterback,
or Arizona could field phone calls frominsert team name here, like Minnesota.

(08:52):
If Minnesota does not get up highenough to draft a quarterback, then
they are dumbasses. They traded foran extra first round pick weeks ago,
assuming that they could then turn thetwo first round picks and whatever else they
have to do to go get aquarterback. And if they can't find a
taker for that and they just endup as a team that has two first

(09:13):
round picks just because they randomly havethem and they don't end up with a
quarterback, they're gonna be like, what the hell is wrong with us?
What are we doing? It's likethey want to move up? Can they
get into two or three? Idon't think so. I don't think two's
for sale. I don't think threesfor sale unless you blow them away.

(09:35):
And then you're talking about is canyou beat with eleven and twenty three and
whatever else? Can you beat otherteams that might want to go up?
Giants, Broncos, Vikings, Raiders, say, and the Cowboys get to
watch all this stuff too, becauseif you're a Cowboy fan, what you

(09:58):
want is you want to hear asmany quarterback names as you can, unless
you hate Dak and you're like,no, I want to pick a quarterback,
But for the most part, youwant to hear quarterback, quarterback,
quarterback, somebody trades up for aquarterback, and then maybe another guy or
two sneaks in before the Cowboys pick, maybe six quarterbacks are picked before the

(10:22):
Cowboys pick. Possible. Wow,And if that happens, then that's our
path to trying to get somebody tonumber twenty four that we didn't think could
happen. Yeah is that? Oh? Well it went, and I do
think it'll go one, two, three, Caleb Williams, Jaden Daniels,
Drake May. I think Michigan's JJMcCarthy will go somewhere between four and eight

(10:46):
where somebody trades to it and thenmaybe somebody loves Michael Pennix, the Washington
quarterback, Maybe somebody loves bo Nicks. If you can get those guys to
go, life gets more fun forus. Like, wait, which off
a lineman might make it? Canthat be fun? I only saw Pennix
play one game, and that wasat his bowl game, but I thought

(11:07):
he was pretty damn good. Yeah, he looks pretty good. Man.
He's wrong handed, Yeah, no, I'll throw you off. Yeah all
right. So have you got aguy that you're looking at and hoping that
the cards might fall right and thisguy might get to the Cowboys that you'd
really like. I mean, youmust have several guys like that. Yeah,

(11:30):
I mean what I have is Ithink that I think it's a really
nice year to need an offensive lineman. But I also saw from I believe
it was Daniel Jeremiah this morning, basically what he said is he said everyone
in this draft is trying to moveup for an offensive tackle because I think
it's a group of five of themthat are really good prospects. And the

(11:54):
odds that any of those five areavailable when the Cowboys pick, I think
are pretty low. But that thatwould be my dream is that you get
on the clock and it's an easypick. Is a top tier of offensive
tackle is still sitting there. That'smy dream is six quarterbacks go, four
wide receivers go. I need twoor three corners to go. I need

(12:18):
three pass rushers to go. I'mjust trying to figure out a way that
I can get to number twenty fourand only four offensive tackles have been picked,
because I think that there are fiveof them that are really, really
good. And then I think youget down to the next group, which
is like, all right, nowwe can poke holes in the prospect like
this guy's a really good player, but he doesn't have all of the measurables

(12:39):
that NFL teams love for a prospector. This guy's a wonderful prospect,
but his tape doesn't measure up tohow big an athletic and all the things
that he is. There's five offensivetackles that I would love to hear their
name called it twenty four. Butthe worry is that we're going to hear
all of those names called the fourtwenty four? Is there anyway? And
I know the the chalk says, you don't ever do this, and I

(13:03):
recognize that, I recognize this probablynot gonna happen, but it is the
Cowboys. Sometimes the Cowboys have beenknown to fly in the face of conventional
wisdom anyway, that they would gofor a guard or a center in the
first round. Absolutely, oh absolutely, And I think there are scenarios where

(13:28):
I love it. Really. Ithink one of my dream scenarios tonight is
that the Cowboys find a way totrade out of twenty four and move down.
Yeah, to pick your team,Kansas City, Baltimore, Buffalo,
whatever, But you get down tothe twenty nine to thirty two range,
you add a third or fourth roundpick, because they don't have a fourth
round pick right now, and youdo the Travis Frederick where you pick a

(13:50):
center. I think there are threecenters in this draft that are worthy of
being picked right in that area thatyou can pick that guy and that spot's
probably going to be good for aday. Kate, Yeah, I think
those guys exist, and I mightactually prefer it to some of the offensive
tackles that could be left available. So yeah, I totally think there's a

(14:11):
scenario where the first round pick isa center. There's a scenario where that
center is a stick and pick attwenty four. There's a scenario where that
center is a trade down, andI think, yeah, I think it's
very possible that they end up pickingthe center in the first round and then
I like the pick. I thinkit's very possible. Three good ones Graham
Barton out of Duke Jackson, PowersJohnson out of Oregon, and Zach Fraser

(14:37):
out of West Virginia. And myprediction is going to be that Zach Fraser
is going to be a cowboy tonight. That's my prediction. He's a West
Virginia center. And I'm just doingthis because I know that Zach Martin likes
him. Okay, that's good reason. They work out with the same trainer,
Duke Maniweather, and apparently while outthere doing the training stuff, Zach

(14:58):
Fraser Wi wanted to meet Zach Martinbecause he's Zach Martin, and he's like,
I love you. You're incredible. But it was Zach Martin who noticed
him, and he's like, hey, I see the way you work in
here, dude, nice to meetyou. And Zach was like, oh,
and so, yes, Zach's aredrawn to each other. Yeah,
Zach Martin is on the record andbeing like, hell, yeah, I

(15:18):
picked that dude, and so yeah, that'll be my random prediction is of
the offensive lineman. I choose himto be a cowboy tonight. Yeah,
it looks like I was just kindof searching around a lot of people seem
to agree with you that that wouldbe a good pick, and that might
be a realistic pick. And helooks like a big old boy. He's
a big old boy. And youknow what we like in our offensive lineman,

(15:39):
big old boys. We like bigold boys, and we like offensive
linemen that when you say, hey, what did he do in high school?
The answer is he won State threeyears in a row as a wrestler.
We like that in our offensive lineman. Yes, right, we know
leverage down and dirty. Yeah,we know how to do things with the
leverage. Did you see that?Roger Goodell is a game time decision on

(16:03):
his hugs. Yeah, what ishe got? Coke? He under he
had back surgery three weeks ago.Oh, players are gonna break him.
He's gonna be there, but wedon't know if he's going to be accepting
the tight hugs like usual. Andhe does, he gets tore up by
he does. These dudes will ragdoll Roger. It remains uncertain whether he'll
be able to offer his patented draftday hugs. It's a draft time decision.

(16:27):
He's he's gonna did you see thecommercials? Full's out. He's not
gonna get hugged tonight. Oh,he's gonna get hugged some of these big
boys. Agh three weeks after backsurgery. Some of these guys don't pick
him up because they do not thinkabout it. We're gonna re injure his
back. Well, you gotta warnevery single person that comes up there,
like as they're walking up to thecommissiony, like I had back surgery.
Please please please, Like they're notgonna think about that person like a pr

(16:48):
man over there. Don't touch Roger. I just got millions of dollars.
I'm hugging the dude on the stead. Hug anybody. Yeah, yeah,
put somebody in front of me.Maybe three of them will ging up on
him in pants. That would begreat. Maybe I would thoroughly enjoy that.
Would do you do with the balls? That wasn't me. They're trying
to humanize Roger. If you've seenthe commercials advertising for the draft, they're

(17:14):
doing some pr on Roger. Yeah, Roger's doing like Beavis and Butt heeadstick.
Like they're sitting there and it's like, yeah, where's the draft this
year or whatever, and Roger goes, d oh god, and Evanem looks
at me. He goes, youcould have just said Detroit, and he's
like I did. And then they'rejust trying to be funny. They're just
trying to be cool with d Wehave Chad Hennings announcing our pick. Oh

(17:34):
hell yes, air Force man, right, yeah yeah, serve the country.
And now I'm going to make apick. What if he does No,
that's Pearson, I know it's DrewPearson. But wasn't that from Draft
night? There's a celebrity in thehouse. Yes, boy, Look at

(17:57):
the way the room just got litup. Yeah yeah, Drew Pearson love
sent some hot hut. Didn't thatstart at the draft? I don't think
started the draft. He at thedraft is when he just went full heel
turned like a wrestler when he announcedthat chidobe a woozy a pig. Yeah,
because where they had Philly or somethingand he just went up and he's

(18:21):
like the five time. It's justlike everybody like it's pro wrestling. Hi,
k T and Horny? Now what'sup Kevin Horny? No? Yeah,
we've just been here all day andyou come in and look what happens?
I know, the room just lightsup a tornado of energy. Yeah.

(18:45):
Fun, He's got his raise Hellpraised Dale shirt on. He's not
dead, just one lap ahead. We all know that I did a banana
facial. You did? Did itfeel cleansed? I think your face looks
beautiful. You have no leg ababy's butt cheeks. Top five facial I've

(19:07):
had this week. You had areal facial. Well, we had many
we had I tried the tangerine facialabout goat not very acidic. Yeah,
so you had the one be realsticky too. Yeah, what what about
ham? The eggplant facial was odd? Cucumber? No comment about squash?

(19:37):
Yeah, I love squash. Thisa ham facial would be nice, ma'am.
He said Ham. Yeah, aham facial. Because said what about
ham over there? I didn't sayanything. Ham does have some moisture to
it. I think your drops arejust They're just you, They're just you.
Be fun. Any type of meatfacial does not sound it pleasing to

(20:00):
me than the banana fash. Yeah. Well there's still some banana pill there
if you want to get in onit. We gotta try to spread it
out throughout the night. We getto pick sixteen. Yeah, celebrate with
a nice little banana rum. Probablydrafted due we start getting nervous for the
packers. Uh, try to trackyour guys. You know what I've been
hearing that my packers at twenty fiveare a candidate to trade back, which

(20:23):
could be a problem for the Cowboyswho want to trade back. Yeah,
we want to trade back. Theycan't be trying to trade back. We're
trying to go back. You gottastay one thing I know about the last
two Moon's got to pick the lastten years of Cowboys football is the Packers
will get in the way of yourplans too soon, Kevin, I know,
yeah, it is an annoying thingin the draft is a lot of
teams want to trade down, butsomeone has to want to trade up for

(20:45):
that to happen. So we'll trackthroughout the year. Is my Packers thing?
I owned the team, one ofthe mini owners, okay, a
shareholder. Uh well, I don'thave it on me. My dad has
it though. Yeah. Yeah, the Packers fan the whole life. It's
weird. I didn't know that.I do want the Cowboys to do well,
though I don't like hate the Cowboys. I want the Cowboys to do

(21:07):
well, but I'm a Packers fan. I used to hide it. Yeah,
I used to be a little concernedabout it, but now I don't
really care. So you would rathersee the Packers do well than the Cowboys?
Oh, absolutely, hundred percent, yeah every time. But I would
love for them never to play eachother. Cowboys are actually my least favorite
team. Takes to the way theydo. I hate them. They used

(21:30):
to like them, but you're justmilking them for all their works. That's
right, I hate Maybe we canget the anti cowboy faction up and run.
I think you can win in thistown. Go in either direction.
You can't say you love them, say you hate them. It'll work out
either way. What are my chiefsdoing tonight? Your chiefs? Huh?
Your chiefs are wide receiver hunting,Julie, Yeah, I guess they are.

(21:52):
They're wide receiver hunting. Boy.They probably should look for a new
tight end with all the distractions, being a new game show host seeing fat.
Yeah, that's right, man, definitely know what's going on there.
Probably not taking this new album verywell. All about Taylor's X, why
are you so obsessed with your exif you're in some new, healthy relationship?
Tite two X is actually she's reallyhung up on the guy that she

(22:14):
was with for like four days inthere. Yeah, well it was really
ten years though, when you lookat it, Joe, it was it
was a situationship. He was rebound. Rebound man, after all the relationships.
Uh yeah, I think the draftis the Hunger Games of the NFL.
Everyone's dressed up. Someone could losea limb. No one's gonna lose
a limb. Good. And howis the hunger? How because everyone's dressed

(22:40):
up? Oh the hunger? Youknow, like, okay, because everyone's
dressed up, what about logic? We're just losing the limb come into this.
Wait till pick nine, but theBears are back on the clock.
Yeah, just wait people, that'sa tease for later in the night.
Will that be their second pick ofthe draft? Been so hot? This

(23:00):
would be so fun. He's hada nap, ski Yeah, he had
a nap. I had a bignap and maybe one huge margarita ready to
go. You realize the Cowboys an'tgoing to pick to like eleven months.
I know. I tried to explainto that we were getting a lot of
They were like, oh yeah,October at nine. I was like,
the calends are picking's like ten o'clock, Yeah, right, ten thirty.

(23:22):
You have to take some calls tonight, all right, load them up two
on four seven eight, seven, one seven one. I like that.
Let's just we'll just open with that. How about that? Yeah, we'll
get you started here. How aboutthat? Yeah, we'll just take a
bunch of phone calls. We gotan hour to fill before the draft even
starts, so we have Preham.Yeah, drafting start till seven, So

(23:44):
of potential picks, yeah, tradesituations, a lot of young athletes you
can tell us all about, right, A lot of stuff to sort through.
