(00:09):
The key list. You're gonna getback into the big Maverick story of yesterday,
not being Mark Cuban's decision to uh, I guess would you call this
divesting? I would. Yeah,he's unloading a significant share of the club

(00:37):
to the widow of a very wellknown casino magnate whose name was in the
news many times over the years forbeing involved in this or that. I
believe he was involved in the ownershipof the Greatness at one point, but
he is gone now she is stillaround, She has got his money,

(01:02):
and she is buying into the Mavericks. Unbelievable. This story came from out
of the bloem. We're going totalk about a little bit more with Mark
Stein at five oh five, butlet's just get into our own reactions about
how we found out about this andwhat we thought at first. Anybody care

(01:26):
to go I can't even talk atfour o'clock. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
we'll do that right now. Ohyeah, that's right. Yeah,
but that was a heck of atease. Yeah it was. I got
ahead of myself. Now we're doingthis, Yes, go for Hollywood Swinging,
brought to you by Alamo. Getthis. Just save all that I'm

(01:48):
just doing it again at four o'clock. It was perfect. I can't do
it again, Yes you can.You just come off and replay it.
Yeah, we can do that.It is time for Llywood swing In though,
and we got some good stuff toget to. Uh And as always
I would like to thank Alamo DraftHouse Cinema for presenting Hollywood Swing In today.

(02:09):
They are having movie watching parties atall DFW Alamo draft House locations to
go watch the movie Elf and tohave some Christmas fun and laugh with Will
Ferrell. I watched it again lastnight. I've not watched it twice in
the last week. It's one ofmy favorite Christmas movies and the kids as

(02:30):
well. It's good for all ages. Go to draft House dot com to
get in on the Elf watching parties. So today was the day that Spotify
released their most streamed artists globally, and they also did the thing where you

(02:52):
can get onto your own Spotify andlook at all of your most streamed music
and see who you've listened to themost over the last year. It's really
cool. It's great marketing for thembecause everybody gets excited about the music that
they've listened to and then they shareit, and then everybody else wants to
go do the same thing, andall of a sudden, everybody's talking about

(03:13):
Spotify and also sharing Spotify stuff thatpeople can click on and then sign up
for it if they haven't already.Whatever. Whatever. So I do want
to hear about y'all's most streamed artistson Spotify. But before we get to
that, I'll tell you about theglobal most streamed artists that Spotify is reporting

(03:36):
today, some of them surprising, some of them not. The most streamed
artist globally in the whole entire worldfor last year, weird Al Yankovic was
not weird Al. Any guesses youmight know. If you know, then

(03:58):
don't say yes, yes right,I mean I think so, But I
don't know. People been talking abouther a lot. People have been talking
about her at the Kelsey Bump. That was probably what put her over the
top. She got the Kelsey bump. YEP. I don't know if she
got the Kelsey bump. I thinkhe got this number one last year.

(04:19):
Uh well, it probably has todo with new music that she's released this
year and the giant tour that she'sbeen going on, or Travis Kelcey I
guarantee is she got a Kelsey bump. She did not get Kelsey bump.
Did their pod Yeah, that's whatI'm saying. They got the Taylor Swift
bump. He got the Taylor Swiftbump. They're both doing great on their

(04:45):
own. But I don't know ifthe fact that she started dating Travis Kelcey
meant that people were streaming her moreon Spotify over the last month. Brittany
Mahomes hadn't heard her in years beforethis. Uh huh. Now she's been
trying to play catch up. Yeah, I'm just running NonStop. So just
those increases alone factor in somewhere allBrittany Mahomes. So yes, Taylor Swift

(05:10):
came out on top. Is themost streamed artist globally with more than twenty
six point one billion global streams. She is also the most streamed artists in
the United States. They sent theyput out some clues before they announced that
she was the most streamed artist. They scattered clues around the globe all around

(05:34):
in the form of puzzles, andthey had a celebratory video that fans could
watch after they solved the puzzles. So they were putting out little puzzle pieces
people were trying to put together tofigure out who this artist was. And
I saw the Swifties going crazy tryingto figure this out. And it was
Taylor Swift indeed, and let's see, this is kind of cool. Top

(05:58):
Swifties on Spotify received a special thankyou message from her. Guess who got
one? No way? Yeah,I got one. I got one.
I got I was going through mymy Spotify most streamed artists and Taylor popped
up and thanked me personally. Iwas very proud. It was a video.

(06:19):
Oh I saw her. She waslike, Julie, thank you so
much for everything you've done to helpme reach this Julie. No, she
didn't say Julie, but that wasyeah. Right. I've been looking through
your Instagram. Looks like things aregoing well for you. I'm gonna check
out that speakeasy show that you doin the afternoons. That's when Tyler Swift

(06:46):
asked me in my video message. So she was the most streamed artist globally.
Yeah, she has been busy. She released the deluxe version of her
twenty twenty two albums Nights back inMay. She also released two re recordings
Speak Now, Taylor's version in nineteeneighty nine, Taylor's version. She's released

(07:06):
a lot of music, which I'msure led to this being streamed a whole
lot. And then she has theworld tour going on that's been going on
for the past year. Outside ofTaylor Swift number two most streamed artists globally
on Spotify. Bad Bunny. Doy'all like Bad Bunny? I don't think

(07:29):
I've ever heard anything by Bad Bunny. I have nothing negative to say about
Bad Bunny? Is you stream hismusic? He did not make any of
mine now and I haven't really hadtime to fully digest his catalog at this
point. Okay, all right,Number three The Weekend now Weekends, still
hanging on there. That's that's allover my year, endless it is absolutely

(07:55):
he's number five in my total. And then I think, yeah, live
at so Far is number three?Which one is this screamy blindly lights?
Oh the Weekend? Yeah, he'svery popular, A lot of people like
it. Yeah, I know thissong, but has he like released stuff
recently? Five and so Far waskind of a big thing. Okay,

(08:15):
yeah, this is a good song. I like it. Okay, I
know this. Yeah, Damn,I like this. I think that you
would respect. He's a very talentedsongwriter. He's he's a talented songwriter,
and he works with like the toppeople in the pop game. And I
think that anyone who likes music asmuch as you would would respect the craft
of what he's doing. Okay,Yeah, he's pretty good. Have you

(08:39):
ever tried Molly before? That alsohelps you know? I haven't. Should
I want to do some Molly. It's a lot of fun. Yeah,
you like doing Molly and listening tothe Weekend a lot. If there's any
cops listening, good answer, goodanswer. Number four, Drake, number

(09:01):
five, I don't know Peso,Puma, anybody this is globally. Yeah,
I don't even know Drake. Idon't think you don't know Drake.
Come on, yeah, thank you? The six God? What the six
God? I don't think so.Champagne Poppy are these songs? These are

(09:22):
nicknames? Oh no, no,I don't know Champagne Poppy. Uh he's
been I mean what fifteen sixteen yearsnow. Yeah, top rapper in the
game, and I don't know him. Hmmmm. All that stuff goes well
past me. You would know himif you heard him. Oh, probably,
what's the what's the song. Yeah, this is Drake and Future.

(09:46):
Oh look at that your favorite choopy. They do collaborate quite a bit.
Hell a lot of mutual respect there. Hey, I should have put you
someway. I wouldn't know what couldfind you. Man, you're not going
sticks would nothing? No round Dallas, Texas. You know I don't.
I'm thinking about Dallas. Yeah. And then Hotline and Bling. That's the

(10:09):
other one that was really big, right, I like that one. He's
got a bunch of big hits.Very popular artist is I've never heard this
guy. Let's see we also haveYeah, this one, you know this
one. I used to call meon my cell phone. Yeah, you

(10:33):
used to got me on myself.Anything. Nothing's clicking? How much?
How much new stuff do you tryto get into? Uh? Nothing really?
Only when I stumble across, becauseI could see you being like interested

(10:56):
in obscuring and stuff from time totime if someone presented it to you.
Left. Occasionally I'll hear something likeit. I mean it's not like I'm
you know, everybody knows it,not said fast against it. I just
don't go looking at it. Butdid I hear it? I like it?

(11:16):
I left the city. So Drakewas number four. Let's see the
other ones of notes. Trust Scottwas number seven, Sizza number eight.
I know Lana del Rey caught meoh myself. Number ten is Atlanta Lena.
I've never been sure, but thatshe does show up on my year

(11:37):
end list. Okay, all right, happy to report. So those are
the most streamed artists globally. Whenit comes to the most streamed songs globally,
Number one, I know you likeMike Grinder. I like it too
because it's such a jam. Flowersby Miley Cyrus, Yeah I do.
I'm not surprised that's the most streamedsong globally. Interesting though, that Taylor

(12:01):
Swift, who is the most streamedartist globally, doesn't have a song on
this list until number six. Here'ssome Flowers, god fn Miley, you
like this one, TC absolutely,it makes my top fifteen and number fifteen
what I see here? Nice asit was by Harry Styles number three,

(12:22):
That song was everywhere. Then youhave Croul Summer by Taylor Swift at number
six. I'm just telling you allthe ones that I personally recognize. Calm
Down with Selena Gomez and Arima Shakirahad number nine and then Taylor Swift again
Anti Hero number ten most streamed albums. It looks pretty similar. Same Bad

(12:43):
Bunny number one, Midnights by TaylorSwift number two, Sos Siza number three,
The Weekend number four, Morgan Wallattnumber six with One Thing at a
Time. My wife chimed in,there did used to be the drop of
you saying started from the boom? Now we hear that's a Drake classic.
Wow, that's true. So youare a Drake fan, whether you know

(13:05):
it or not. I didn't knowwhat I was doing there, but I
that drop did exist. So youdo know Drake. No, I don't
know him. Like I said,I didn't know you were just saying something.
Yeah, I know what you weredoing. I was trying to be
cool. Study young people. Youhaven't heard this. Start in front of

(13:26):
bottom. Now he started fun ofthe bottom. Now my whole team,
Yeah started run the bottom. Nowwe are started the bottom. Now a
hold team man. Start. It'sthe best song because it's always true.
Wherever you started was the bottom. You are now always here. Every single
person on earth relates to it constantly. Wow, a good point, Steeve,

(13:54):
you are here and he did startat the bottom. The hockey players
love Drake because he's a Canadian. So you heard a lot of Drake in
the Stars locker room. My god, twenty fifteen, twenty sixteen. I
never got more requests for Drake forthe Stars. Yep, I love them
from Drake and Drake. Oh mygod, she does. Let's see here

(14:18):
most popular podcast they also did.Joe Rogan Number one, call her Daddy.
Number two, Yeah, where's It'sjust banter? The mom Game?
Surely that's on here? Number four? Yeah, what about podcast the Speakeasy?
That's actually number three? Hell speakeasy, follow by the mom Game,

(14:39):
followed by It's just banter. Thisis crazy. So that I have
a good weird Joe Rogan do whathe'll have. He'll have weird get like
whenever he talks to just like totalcrackpots that are like the Pyramids aren't real.
They'll just go off on that forlike two hours. I love that
stuff. Yeah, I live inthe Amazon rainforest. Then there's Boken Strecter

(15:00):
is bigger than this room. Thatguy that was a great guy. I
think you'd like. So I don'twant to emphasize. I don't want to
ride for the whole thing. There'sU sometimes, Joe and I depart plenty
of times, but there's some stuffin there you'd like. You'll have to
check it out. Mike, Go, Rogan, and Drake. You have
some homework assignments, so let's talkabout ours. Our Spotify most streamed artists.

(15:26):
I'll fire through mine real quick andthen y'all can report your findings.
This is a little bit twisted forme because I don't really use Spotify too
much. Actually I use a differentone that doesn't have commercials. But number
one for me Chris Stapleton starting Overmy top song. I listened to Chris
Stapleton for eight hundred and ten minutesin the last year. I am in

(15:48):
the top thirteen percent of his fans, even though you know it's not your
primary music service. Yeah, yeah, this is it. Thank you.
Do you think you as family membersthat are left dedicated? Maybe y'all like

(16:10):
this is it just me starting over? He's not big on my radar.
I can't say I'm offended by what'son my years right now. It's yeah,
I don't know, I like it. He was my number one Taylor
Swift my number two, with Novemberbeing my top Taylor Swift month. Because
I will say this month is themonth that I became a full on swifty

(16:32):
and as I said, knock meover with a feather, groovy new He
knew that she'd be on my list. This is a new thing for me.
I've always liked her, but thismonth I've become obsessed. I don't
know. I went and saw herconcert and I think that was a big
part of it. Also, it'sfall, you know, that's always when
all too well springs the top ofmind across the yes I speak for it
is it is a ten minute versionhuh number three Teddy Swims, which was

(17:00):
I just had like a swim throughthis artist, Teddy Swims. But I
guess I listened to him enough. My friends in Kansas City told me about
him. He's pretty good. Isit more country? It's country ish?
Is this it? Yeah? He'sreally good. He has a great voice
control, kind of Chris Stapleton ish. Yeah. It was just cool.

(17:26):
It was an artist that I hadn'theard of that I had friends that lived
somewhere else that were like, oh, he's really popular here. If I
started listening to him and I waslike, this isn't really good, all
right? I mean you also listento Teddy Sims. He's good Swims.
Yeah, it's number four, EricChurch. I think that's just because I

(17:47):
would put it on the Eric Churchlike station because I liked all of the
songs that were similar to that typeof music. And then number five for
me was Jaco and which is myson. My girl was obsessed with Jaco
and just be all those songs. So that's my list. TC tell us
about yours? Uh, Wich, sure, are you going by the artists

(18:11):
the albums? Well, that wasmy top five artists. Okay, yeah,
I do something like that. Itwas uh, you know, it
came out a full ten years ago. The tenth and Your tenth Anniversary edition
came out in the middle of theyear, but I was already on it
by then. The Daft Punk's RandomAccess Memories Daft Punk is my number one
most streamed artists for the year. It's the old album. I don't know

(18:33):
why I decided to listen to itobsessively this year, but I did.
And I know weird how that happens. You're like, I'm just gonna get
really into this one thing and listento it over and over. Oh yeah,
and I'll do that there's I Seea Couple on here. I was
like, yeah, for a week, I listened to that song on repeat
all day every day, and thenI listen to it again and now here
it is at number three. Isaw the Dave Matthews Band live, so

(18:56):
Kevin will be excited to know theyare my number two, not upstreamed artist.
That's that's I mean. I don'twant to understate the degree to which
I am a fan. I dolike their music. I will defend it,
but that's mainly whenever I'm uber driving, putting on jam band type stuff
where you know, a good twentyminute song right just kind of quietly play

(19:18):
in the background. Mac Miller ismy number three. Obviously didn't have anything
come out new this year, butI'm a big fan and I listened to
it a lot. Is he dead? He is dead? He did too
much. Fenton All mic rest inPeace got The Mountain Goat at number four.
The Mountain Goat, Yeah, they'llalways be on the top five in

(19:41):
any given year. It's you know, it's like if you like you like
it. If you don't, youdon't. It's a very distinctive voice turns
a lot of people off. Okay, but you know, it's it's very
like a self reflective stuff. He'sa really cool guy. He tells cood
stories like you know the Mountain Goats. Yeah, this is the big this

(20:03):
is cool, this is fun.We can learn about new music. They
played at the Longhorn Ballroom a coupleof months ago. Me and Trey went
nearly got into a fight. Youand Trey nearly got into a fight,
well, not me and Trey.A guy wanted to fight me. I
don't know why. But what youdo is unclear. I didn't do.

(20:30):
I was accused of hitting a woman. I thought concert at the Mountain Goats
concert, yes, And I thoughtthat this was a case of mistake and
identity. I still do think it'sa case of mistake and identity. I
don't I've never seen the woman before, but whatever, Like, you know,
trying to like get him to stopyelling at me, I was like,
I'll say, it's hard if youwant, and so he like,

(20:52):
to this point, I didn't knowwhat she who we were talking about.
So he like puts this girl infront of it, say sorry to her,
and I'm like sorry six. She'slike all right, but you're looking
right at me. When you do. That's what she said to me.
I was not looking right at her. I've never seen her before. I
believe you t s I know,idea, what happen? I love you

(21:12):
telling this story with mountain goats inthe background. Yeah, putting me right
back in that moment. I canfeel your pain. We got the Weekend
at five, Steely Dan at six, Lana del Ray at seven, Frank
Ocean at eight. I'd say thatrepresents her good. I'm happy for pretty
much all those. Yeah, thoseare bands groups I really like. Mike,

(21:33):
can you fire off yours real quick? In just a second? I
can, or we can do itwhen we come back. Well, you
mentioned that your top ranked song wassomething that you were I played seven hundred
ninety nine songs in twenty twenty three, and here Shoopy is my top song.

(21:56):
Oh yeah, hell yeah, dude, you like to have a good
time. Oh my gosh, I'mahead of this and you tried to come

(22:17):
earlier. You don't do ecstasy darkmister Dallas cruising all over town blaring this
song. This is just blowing.People are looking at me like, hell,
that's amazing. Phoebe Rexer right, yep, Hey not ashamed? Of

(22:47):
it. No, no, thesong thought. That's why these things are
fun, because it's like what youdo like in private, you know,
when you're all alone, What areyou streaming? What are you listening to?
What gets you going? This isit from Dallas. If someone asked
me like, what are you into? I would never be like, well,
stranger, I love the Dave Matthewsright exactly. But here they are
at number two. Quite revealing forall of us. Really is Oh,

(23:11):
that's amazing, that made this wholesegment. Thank you, Mike. Coming
up next, Yeah, there's alot to talk about when it comes to
the Dallas Mavericks ownership situation, whichwe learned about yesterday, is still very
much developing today. We are goingto dive into that a bit in the
