Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the Spencer Grave Show.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
I have a feeling that Blair is going to disappoint
her father this morning.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
I'm his favorite. It's it's very well known in the family,
so disappointing him is very, very challenging.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
When when you first got one, though, was he disappointed
when you found out?

Speaker 3 (00:14):
He did not voice his opinion because I think he
knew that his opinion may hurt my feelings.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
All right, can we all welcome in, Bobby D. This
is Blair's dad. Bobby. Do you know that your daughter
has a tattoo? Yes, you know that? No?

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Wait no, wait no, wait I prove yeah, I prove
that it's your wedding band. Yeah, I prove that.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
You you approved that one because it's her wedding band.
And what does this say, Blair?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
It has our anniversary date? I got so it's really
it's right underneath my ring.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
So at what point, Bobby D, is there a tattoo
that your daughter could get that you would not approve?
There is no point, Okay, So she can get tattoos
anytime she wants.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Oh, no, I'm sorry, I misrems stood your question. No
she cannot. Oh that's the only one to's the lad.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Okay, Blair, do you want to go ahead and tell
your dad what you're thinking?

Speaker 3 (01:02):
So I have this idea, Dad, and I think you'll
like it if you just give it a chance.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Okay, I'm listening.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
I'm scared for you. I'm terribu.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
I'm in my thirties and I'm still scared. Okay. So
I saw this girl on TikTok and she got her
dad to write her maiden name in his writing, and
she got it tattooed on her wrist because when she
got married and changed her name, she wanted to be
able to carry her maiden name with her in some
shape or form. So what do you think about that?

Speaker 1 (01:35):
H I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
I'd have to think hard about that. I'm just not
a tattooed person. But you know, you carry your maiden
name on the radio, So that's good for me. Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
So Bobby d share with me as a dad. Is
there a place on your daughter's body that you don't
mind her getting a tattoo?

Speaker 4 (01:53):
You know, I'm just anti tattoo. Maybe if I had
to answer that question, I'd say maybe. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Tattoos are a slippery slope. I understand that I fell
off the cliff, So I get it.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Spencer was pushed off the cliff.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
No, but I understand where you're both coming from because
when I first got my tattoo, I got one for
my mom. It's a tree. It doesn't have any leaves.
The idea is that the roots of the tree continue
to keep you humble. Growth of the tree. You grow
all the time, you lose the leaves. That's the bad
things every single year. But the one thing I'll never lose.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Is my mom. So my mom is one leaf.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
I took a picture of that. I sent it to
my dad and my dad goes, who's horrible tattoo is that?
And I said mine, and he was like, it's terrible.
I said it's for mom, and he goes, she likes roses.
So I can completely empathize where this conversation is going.
But what you're telling us, Bobby D, is that you
really do not co sign on her getting another tattoo.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
You're absolutely I do not.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yeah, that's a tough place to be in Blair.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Now, Just so you know she's she's only thinking about this.
I have not got it.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
This is not where I'm gonna surprise you. Dad, on
air until you surprise actually said in the Lovey.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
You're waiting to come back. Okay, Bobby D, thank you
very much.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Okay guys, thank you guys too for supporting my baby girl.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Hey, we got you man, no problem. We appreciate you
many crime.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
So, Blair, now that you've had this conversation with your dad,
you being in your thirties, him being close to Steve's age,
your husband, does that change your opinion about wanting to
get this tattoo.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
It makes me think more. I really did think that
since I was including him and doing it for a reason,
that he would be like, Okay, it's about me. Yeah,
But now I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to
think twice. So, if you end up getting this tattoo,
would you end up needing to cover it up? No,
I don't think so, And I'm not a person that
I would hide it from him by any means. But

(03:50):
because this is his last name, my maiden name, I'm
gonna have to think twice because it would be weird
to me to get a tattoo about my dad that
I knew he didn't support. Now saying I'm never getting
another tattoo now but I do think.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
That there's a lot of people that are listening to
the Spencer Grave Show that are like, God, that conversation
that Blair just had with her dad is the exact
conversation that I'm dreading. I would dread to call and
ask my parents to get a tattoo. And then some
people go out to Panama City Beach and they come
back and they got a.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Whale, you know, in the center of their back, right
above their button. All of a sudden, they're like, well,
I don't want to get a tattoo with your last
name on it because you would have been disappointed.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
So I got a whale.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah,
