Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's that time of year where everybody gets locked into
checking college football scores. You think anybody was watching at
church or watching at a wedding or wedding. Absolutely, you
think somebody was at a funeral and they were watching wedding.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Absolutely, there were somebody got married this weekend and somebody
was watching football during said wedding or wedding reception or
whatever might be.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
I mean, I've said it before, I'll say it again.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
That was one of the only restrictions Bobby d put
on our wedding was we couldn't have it during football
season because he would have been that person that could
have been a little awkward.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
You know, there are rules too, like you got to
be smart if you're going to watch games, because you
don't want your phone to be so in front of
you that everybody and their mother notices that you're doing it.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
You got to kind of hide it with.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
The uh what have they got the centerpieces that are
on the tables. Yeah, you got to like hide it
in there, make it look like TV in the midst
of all the flowers.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Very strategic.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
But what's so funny is I was actually talking to
somebody that lives in Illinois, and they don't understand the
college football of it all because they've never lived down here,
and I was trying to explain it to them. And
I can always use the example of you know, obviously
one of my tiny humans, Corbyn, she plays volleyball, and
there's a lot of weekend tournaments during the football season.
(01:15):
I mean, just over this past weekend, everybody in between games.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
During games was like, Hey, what's that Alabama score? Hey,
what's what's Tennessee doing.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Everybody's asking, hey, is that old miss game as close
as as it was ten minutes ago? And it's it's
so funny that our lives really do moreph around college
football the way it's.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Like it's like you didn't turn your sound down and
they score a touchdown and that's all you hear.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
In the background, people are like, a score again.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
It's jerking, like what's going on?
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Or my favorite has been and this has definitely happened
when our girls necessarily didn't have a great player, we
lost the ball, you know, something like that. But yet
we hear it apparently go yes, and it's like bad timing, Yeah,
the right time.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Your kid just missed that, right, Blair.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
It's funny as guys, we always get caught by our
wives are significant others when we're watching sporting events and
we feel like we just got called out by the
teacher in school.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Oh yeah, you know, that's kind of how I feel
when Steve's like, really right now, you need to check
the score, giving.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
You all the warm fuzzies and whatnot. It's the good
good on the Spencer Grave Show.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
I love this story, but I've actually never met anybody
who's won the lottery, so I get a little skeptical.
But ten teachers won a million dollars, but only nine
of them are still alive. The ten teacher passed away
several months ago, and as tribute, they've played the lottery
for the last fifteen years, so her share, they decided
(02:48):
to cut a check to her kids.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
I love that, and I'm glad that they kind of
kept that not tradition, but that.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Legacy. What's the word I'm looking for.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
The legacy going with her?
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Yeah, I mean, you know, and I think that's incredible.
And yeah, I've never met anybody that's won the lottery,
but I would hope that if this was a close scenario,
that people really did see it through.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
You think anybody's listening to the show that's won the lottery.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
I'm sure there's got to be somebody out there in
that scratch offs.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
I'm talking about a physical million dollars.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Something like that, like having to go to the you know, courthouse,
you get your attorney type thing.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
That's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
Eight five five Graves zero.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Yesterday the CMA nominations came out, and while some of
them aren't much of a shock, especially Entertainer of the Year,
a lot of familiar faces in that there was a
big shock.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
Hi everyone, I'm Chuck Ailey, President and COO of Country Aircheck.
I'm excited to reveal the CMA Broadcast Awards finalists for
Personality of the Year. The finalists are The Doc Show
with Chewy Ellis and Bradley Show, Joey and Nancy mo
and Stance and Spencer Graves Show, Spencer Graves and Blair Davis.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
So I had no idea that that was happening yesterday.
You did like you were locked into the live stream.
You were watching with bita breath. In fact, somebody tried
to call you and be like, well, the CMA noms
went out and we didn't get nominated.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
I think that was Dino that called you.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yeah, yeah, No, I knew this was coming out. This
day has been on my calendar for quite some time
because you know, I always watch the nomination drops. Now,
I will say, there was this small part of me
that I'm like, you know, there's a couple of the
big wigs and the guys in the suits. I said,
maybe we could be nominated. But I mean I was
(04:40):
really glued in to see everything else too.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
People don't know your history and how much this announcement
of the Spencer Grave Show getting nominated for a CMA
really means.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Especially to you. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
You know, when I was little, I won a spelling
bee championship.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Nicely done to thank you so much. That's fine, Oh you.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Want to anything, No, but seriously, I had the trophy
in my room as a kid, and you know, like
when little kids, specifically little girls, would like pretend to
play teacher and all this growing up, I would pretend
to win a CMA award in my room and I
use that trophy as like that was my CMA trophy.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
And the funny thing is, and I share this.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
You would stand in front of a mirror and like
act it out like.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
You had a thank you speech and oh yeah, you
think in.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Your mind, I was Dad, And really I was thinking,
Jody Messina, if I'm just being honest, like over and
over again. And I shared this yesterday with our team,
like obviously we all know that, you know, winning a
CMA Award for my musical talent probably wasn't gonna happen.
So I kind of thought, Okay, that's just like a
far fetch stream. As I've gotten older, like Steve and I,
(05:50):
we still print out the nominations every year and kind
of have a competition amongst ourselves to see who gets
the most predictions, right. Bobby, Dan grand Jan come over
every year to watch the CMA Awards together. So this
has just been something I've geeked out over my whole life.
In fact, in college, my senior project, my capstone project
at UNA was how to plan a CMA Awards show.
(06:13):
So I mean this is just something that I mean,
how many times did I cry spencer yesterday?
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Like a few?
Speaker 1 (06:18):
In fact, little I thought it was really yeah, but
I thought it was really endearing because I asked you
to go first, just to share it, and I didn't
know what you were going to share and then to
see you kind of wear your emotion on your sleeve.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
They went to me and I was like, I can't
follow that.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah, but after hearing that this show was nominated, I
did want to share something with you and everybody who listens.
I got a lot of text messages yesterday from people
in the industry, and a lot of them I consider
close friends and a lot of them I consider mentors.
And I wrote back to one guy and I said, man,
thank you because you're the one who called me and
(06:56):
asked me to come do this show, and you gave
me the freedom to choose whoever.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
I wanted to work with.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
And as our time working together has gone through, you know,
people don't realize that when changes happened, you were kind
of left in the ether, like not everybody sure where
you were going to go, and all that kind of stuff.
And they brought it to me and said, hey, what
would you want to do if you could.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Land this job?
Speaker 1 (07:21):
And I said, well, I want to keep Blair. I
want Blair to be on the show, just because I
had a lot of faith in the type of person
that you are and I just witnessed a lot of
things behind the scenes where I was like, she is
a powerhouse type of personality, and even Meghan, who was
on the show at the time, I knew that this
(07:42):
could be a bigger thing. And he wrote back to
me because I was just trying to be humbled by
sharing everything with him, he wrote back, and he goes,
you built this from nothing, so you need to be
somewhat proud of that. And I don't really feel that
I built anything. I may have orchestrated some moves, but honestly,
(08:04):
it's the people that have worked on this show outside
of me that really make this show great. I mean,
people know about my life, but they hear way more
about y'all's lives than they do mine. Because I just
see that there's so much in you that I want
everyone to witness well.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
And I appreciate that, I really really do. And I
know that you know this has just kind of always
been a dream of mine, but it's been a dream
of yours too.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
I Mean, it's not like, I guess.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
The appropriate thing to talk about, like wanting to be
up for things, but I think this is a moment
for us to soak it in, but also to thank
all the friends of the show too, that make this
show what it is.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
You said it best yesterday, Spencer.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
If you have ever been on a break with us
or called into the show to be a part of conversations,
you are part of what's making this show kind of
go to the next level. And so it's an exciting
moment for everybody that wants to celebrate with us, because again,
it's an US thing. It's not a me, it's not
a you, it's a it's the while we did this.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
So we appreciate wherever the chips may fall. I did
hear from an industry person yesterday there could be a
fan vote, So if that happens, we're going to let
you guys know about it. But, like Blair was mentioning,
if you guys have ever been a part of the show,
or maybe you've never called the show and you want
to reach out and say whatever you want, this is
a great time to do it. Eight five five grave zero.
But we'll let you guys know if something like that happens.
(09:23):
You're in what grade this year?
Speaker 3 (09:25):
I'm in tenth grade, and.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
Are you riding with a friend or is a parent
dropping you off? It's a nice well, thank you for Colin.
What can we do for you.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
I just listen Veille every morning.
Speaker 6 (09:37):
I just wanted to reach out and thank you, thank you.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Uh, we've just learned that if we don't win the
CMA Award, at least we win with tenth graders who
are on their way to school.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
That's what I'm talking about, and that's more important than
winning an award.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
I mean, honestly, you said it right yesterday, Blair, that
we don't do this for awards. We do it because
we want want to put a smile on people's faces. Yeah,
and Mikayla your proof of that.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
So thank you, Thank you all.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
And Mikayla, you were the first one to call and
congratulate us this morning.
Speaker 7 (10:09):
Yay, thank you every time.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Well, then you should you should give us some sort
of an acceptance speech for being the first person that
called and said congratulations.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
I'm so honored, speechless.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
Well, thank you, MICHAELA, have an awesome day, do grade
in school.
Speaker 6 (10:28):
Thank you all, you too.
Speaker 8 (10:29):
What's going on, Michelle, Well, I was just going to
say congratulations.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
It's awesome, thank you.
Speaker 6 (10:34):
We talked to you not too long ago.
Speaker 9 (10:36):
I think my daughter wants to say, hey, she officially
started sixth grade.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Hi, Hi, Annabelle, how are you? Are you in the
school drop offline?
Speaker 8 (10:44):
No, we're heading to the school. Nice. I'm one question? Yes,
what is your most favorite country singer?
Speaker 4 (10:52):
M all time? Right now?
Speaker 8 (10:55):
What's the difference between those two?
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Like in all Time is like somebody that has has
maybe been on the radio when I was a kid,
and I absolutely love now. But I have some favorites
that I just recently found out.
Speaker 8 (11:07):
About, probably currently maybe Okay, mine is what Lanny Wilson.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Lanny Wilson is a great choice. She has a CMA
nomination for Entertainer of the Year. Blair, you are unable
to say Kenny Chesney because he's really not current anymore
so he who would be your current your current favorite
country artist?
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Kelsey Vallerini.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
Vallerini you might not like mine, but Cody Johnson is
a favorite right now.
Speaker 8 (11:41):
I think my granny's is probably either Tracy Lawrence or
I don't know, but Garmy listens to a lot she likes.
Oh yeah, you know, so also also favorite who I
also like Chaboozi too.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
Chaboozy is great. Two number one. The guy is taken
with gas right now? Well, thank you?
Speaker 1 (12:00):
In a bettle we hope you have a great day
and thanks for listening to the show.
Speaker 6 (12:03):
No problem.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
It's How country are you? On the Spencer Grave Show, Valerie,
where are you from?
Speaker 10 (12:11):
I'm from Newmarket, Alabama.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
You're gonna do some heavy lifting today on How country
are You? We've got three questions for you. We give
you a country score, but time for self assessment on
a scale of one of the country.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
How country are you?
Speaker 11 (12:23):
When I play in my car or in my office,
I'm a ten that I know. My nerves are gonna
get me talking to y'all, so I'm going to say
an hope you ask me stuff.
Speaker 12 (12:33):
I know.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Let's see if that nine is gonna hold up. This
one's easy. You just need to tell us who this is?
Speaker 8 (12:42):
Good car.
Speaker 11 (12:50):
Good to you.
Speaker 10 (12:54):
I'm having a brain fart. I really do not.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
I can't like CALLI would you good? Just Carleen?
Speaker 8 (13:02):
Sure?
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Looking it?
Speaker 4 (13:04):
It sounds kind of like that.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
I mean, I bet she gets it down.
Speaker 10 (13:11):
I know. I'm sorry, Blair.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
It's okay. That was Phil Vasser.
Speaker 11 (13:16):
My bad.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
It's okay.
Speaker 10 (13:17):
I did not know.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
Don't worry about that, all right.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Question number two, what's acceptable to where to a wedding?
If you're southern.
Speaker 10 (13:24):
Jeans and a button down.
Speaker 11 (13:26):
If you're a dude, a girl a blue jean skirt
and a nice top with boots.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Now we're talking there, you go really classy. Share with
us the time when you got a switch.
Speaker 10 (13:37):
Oh my lord, I can do you not tell this
story all the time? So you asked me something good.
Speaker 11 (13:43):
Me and my sister were taking our naps at my
grandmother's house, on the floor beside grandmother on the couch,
and she caught me and my sister fighting, which my
sister's thirteen, much younger than me. So she made me
get on the couch and left Angie on the floor,
and she got up went got floss water.
Speaker 10 (14:01):
Honey.
Speaker 11 (14:01):
She come back with the flap water and she went
to hit me. And when she did, I ran out
the front door, and I didn't think they heard it slam,
so I opened it again and slammed it and the
glass glass.
Speaker 10 (14:16):
The glass broke.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
I want to make sure y'all know that I'm leaving
this house.
Speaker 10 (14:24):
My granddaddy caught me at the end of the house.
Speaker 11 (14:26):
He already had a switch in his hand, and he
held my left hand and he run me around in circle,
strapping my legs well.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
That story made up for not knowing who Phil Vasser was.
It's an eight point nine for you today.
Speaker 10 (14:41):
Thank you so much. I'm so excited to get to play.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
This turn on TV yesterday and I was so ecstatic
Tutsi roll is back.
Speaker 8 (14:51):
Mister Turtle, how many licks does it take to get
to the Tutti center of a Tutsi pop?
Speaker 4 (14:56):
He never meet it without baiting?
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Ask mister hole, Wow, how.
Speaker 8 (15:00):
Many licks does it take to get to the Tutiro center?
Speaker 6 (15:03):
What Tsi pop?
Speaker 5 (15:04):
Let's find out one, two three.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Tutsie Roll has brought back that icon of commercial that
they debuted fifty five years ago. And I love it
because that's a commercial when I was a kid that
got stuck.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
In my head.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
I now just want a big bag of Titsy roll pops, like, oh,
that was one of my favorite candies growing up, and
it is something that like, definitely it gets stuck in
your head immediately.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Did you ever have a commercial that got stuck in
your head? You guys should call on this too, by
the way, A five to five grave zero.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Uh yeah, the best part of waking ups soldiers in
your best part.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
Of a cup foolgers in your car.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
It's so funny that you have to sing it the
same exact way.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
What about J. G.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Wentworth? Do you know that would pop on like before?
Bryce is right?
Speaker 4 (15:56):
It was a money it was for me. It was
a money service wins. You don't remember that?
Speaker 3 (16:06):
I do now.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
You know what's so funny is whenever somebody mentions Yahoo,
which isn't often now because everybody just goes to Google.
But when people say Yahoo, I still go, yeah, I
don't know why they even used that in probably twenty years.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Well, but again, it's just stuff.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
They get stuck in your head, and you know, no
matter what, it's gonna be there.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
I'm loving it.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
Yes, McDonald's.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Of course, if there's a jingle or a commercial, it
always gets stuck in your head. Maybe it's one that
we play on the show. Eight five five Graves zero, Sarah,
we were talking about commercials that get stuck in your head.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Eight five five grave zero. What was yours?
Speaker 7 (16:46):
Goldfar eight hundred six.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
That's a good one that's gonna be stuck in my
head now the rest of the day.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
Goodness are a hundred.
Speaker 4 (17:01):
Sarah.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
What does that actually do when you hear it? And
when do you actually have that pop into your mind.
Speaker 9 (17:06):
My mother was actually looking for an attorney, and me
and my sister at the same time sung commercial.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
Goldberg.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
Can we ask why your mom was looking for an attorney?
I feel like there's a really good story there.
Speaker 6 (17:21):
No.
Speaker 8 (17:21):
I think it was like a property claim or something
that she was doing.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Your Mom's like that silly old boy next door thinks
he owns a piece of my property, and I'm going
to let him know he don't. He trying to put
a pool in. I ain't about letting no pool come
in here without a fence.
Speaker 7 (17:36):
Right.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Well, thank you, Sarah. We hope you have a great day.
Speaker 8 (17:39):
Thank you too, Tia.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
We were talking about commercials this morning that gets stuck
in your head.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
What's yours?
Speaker 6 (17:44):
Mine is oscar Meyer Balogney, the first three words I
ever learned how to sell. We're osgar Meyer Bologne.
Speaker 9 (17:53):
That true love it is.
Speaker 6 (17:56):
It is. Even my grandkids know that, know that commercial.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Well, let's hear it as they should.
Speaker 6 (18:03):
My bologney has a first name, it's O scar My
bologney has a second name. It's m A y E
r Oh. I love to eat it every day. And
if he asked me why, I'll say because Oscar Mayer
has away with bo l og n a.
Speaker 12 (18:15):
I that was so good, by the way, that's like,
you know it, it's so it's just so impressive that
that's how you actually learned something.
Speaker 6 (18:34):
Yes, they need to bring commercials back like that.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
Well I think they are.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
You know, everything seems to be nostalgic and retro and
vintage whatever other buzzwords that people like to use now.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
But I loved it.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
When I saw that TOTSI Roll pop yesterday, I was like,
give me that ollow.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
I'm in for that commercial.
Speaker 6 (18:50):
Yes, absolutely. I think I was four when the Oscar
Mayer Bolooney commercial came out and it was those were
the first three words I ever learned to spell.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
Thank you very much for joining us. Have a great day.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Did you know we've been talking about this morning that
you and I got a CMA nomination for the Spencer
Grave Show. There's a guy who's on a FI five
Grave zero. He's actually a big part of that nomination
because what I heard is what was submitted was actually
Bobby d your dad's story. When you decided to get
a tattoo, you weren't sure if he was going to
(19:22):
let you do it, and then all of a sudden
he got a tattoo and that was part of the submission.
So Bobby D welcome back to the show this morning, My.
Speaker 9 (19:31):
Guy, Good good morning, Good morning, guys. Hey, I just
wanted to to call and congratulate both of you on
being nominated. I tell you, I know it's a lot
of hard work going into it, and since I know
you've worked hard to get to this point as well,
and I've witnessed Player's hard work. I just I remember
(19:51):
when she was a little girl, she had a shit,
a little tape coorder that had a microphone, and she's
probably interviewed me a thousand times at least with that
little microphone, and your goodness, gracious, I just knew that.
And she'd always wanted to be in the radio. And
I remember a quick story. I'll tell you that when
(20:11):
she was in college and she got her internship at
at wd r M, which we were very thankful for,
and it was she got to work with the legend
Dan MacLean on that on that shows as an intern
and uh, Dan really helped her a lot and believed
in her. But when she that internship was finished, uh,
she was told by some of the executives that that
(20:32):
she didn't have what it took to make in radio
when she should find something else to do.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (20:36):
And I remember the day, the day she come home
and told me that, and I remember seeing her sitting
in his chair and she was crying, and it was
that point, you know, I realized that I couldn't fix this.
This is something she had to do on her own.
And I told her I always called her Bob when
she was a little girl. I said, Bob, you can
either sit here and cry about it and whine about it,
(20:57):
or you can use this as an inspiration to get
to where you want to be. And she's done that,
And thankful, thankful for Dan McClain. He was able to
get her a job at another radio station in Hustles
where she got her start, and then the opportunity to
come for her to come back to w r M,
and here we are today, And I tell you, I
just I can't be more proud of her and what
(21:18):
she's accomplished and what you've accomplished, Spencer. You guys compliment
each other, you do a good job on the show,
and it's just always a lot of fun to listen.
And I couldn't think of two people that's more deserving of.
Speaker 6 (21:32):
The award.
Speaker 9 (21:33):
I know you guys are gonna win. I'm praying for it,
and I'm pulling for you guys to win. If I've
got a vote, you know, you know you've got mine.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Well, Bobby, I can hear it in your voice that
this obviously means a whole hell of a lot to
you and you know your baby girl overcoming some of
those things, Blair share with me because I didn't know that.
But how did that hit you when somebody told you
in radio that this probably wasn't your jam, and now
here you are nominated for a CMA.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Well, of course, when I'm go home and talk to
my dad, I let my walls down, and he like,
he said, you know, I'm just sobbing to him, but
to everybody else, I'd tried to pretend like it didn't
it didn't affect me, and I would just you know,
I would figure it out because that's what Davis's doing personality.
But I mean, I remember for a few weeks, I
(22:21):
just I was crushed because I had, you know, gone
to college and done this internship and thought that you know,
everything was falling into line, and then to have something
so close but yet so far away from you kind
of be pulled out from underneath you for a minute.
But my dad always told me, you know, ever since
I was a little kid. As we joke about it
(22:42):
all the time, Spencer on the show, but he always
told me I could do whatever I wanted to do
when I grew up.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
And so after I you know, let myself.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Feel bad for a little bit, I was like, Okay,
what am I going to do next? And you know,
luckily that road led me here and and like you know,
you said it just a second ago, Spencer, this is
just as big of a win for Bobby Davis is
for me, one hundred verse.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
I've always strived to make sure that we have shows
that really incorporate every bit of our lives, you know,
from parents all the way to grandparents, to siblings, to families, spouses,
you name it. If there's a story that comes out
of it, there's a million people that have lived stories
like that or might be going through it. So it's
good when they have a voice and everybody can hear that. Well, Bobby,
(23:25):
thank you, buddy. We really appreciate you being so willing
to come on the show too.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
I love you Dad.
Speaker 9 (23:30):
Thank you guys, and I love you too, baby doll.
I'm proud of you.
Speaker 7 (23:33):
Congratulations guys, thanks so inviting. Oh my gosh, but I mean, listen,
how many did the CMA even address the fact that
y'all can make one of your fans dress of like
Miley Cyrus at sixty three years old.
Speaker 6 (23:50):
Didn't even mention that.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
I actually think that was the first thing they led
off with. I think they said, this radio show got
a woman in her fifties to dress up like Miley Cyrus.
Speaker 6 (24:00):
I like that. Thank you, You're welcome.
Speaker 7 (24:06):
I like, I like that a lot.
Speaker 6 (24:07):
And then and then so what elf?
Speaker 7 (24:09):
And you guys make yourself so vulnerable, you know, I mean,
I mean you like you just throw it out there,
Blair with your cooking.
Speaker 6 (24:17):
You're not ashamed of that.
Speaker 7 (24:19):
You're like, no, I suck at it pretty much. And
Steve knows he married me anyway, And I know I
don't get it.
Speaker 6 (24:28):
And then and then.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
I'm just and.
Speaker 7 (24:32):
Then Spencer with with your mom and relating to other
people that might have a family member that's going through
the same thing. You know, you just you guys just
make yourself so open to everybody, and and and you're like.
Speaker 6 (24:45):
You're you're you're touchable.
Speaker 7 (24:47):
You know you can, you can really.
Speaker 6 (24:49):
Really the way.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
Gosh is a family.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
What is happening, Blair? How are you about riding passenger
in a car?
Speaker 2 (25:03):
You know, I don't like to drive, so I like
to think that I like being a passenger. But at
the same time, you know, Steve's not the best driver.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Do you get carsick when see? Okay, so you told
me when you guys were going to Tennessee, you were
up in the mountains and you were doing all those
little switchbacks on those mountain roads. I totally understand that.
And you said at one point you had to pull
over because you weren't feeling great.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Yes, Steve is not the best driver. He likes to.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
We heard that entertain the lanes a lot, and he
doesn't want one to feel less love than the other.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
They actually say that if you are somebody who gets
carsick singing songs like Hakuna Matata, we'll actually keep you
from getting sick on car rides.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Okay, I don't know all the words, yeah, but I'll
learn them.
Speaker 12 (26:09):
A lot of.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
So, if you are somebody who gets sick while you're
in a vehicle, or maybe you just feel a little
woozy from movement. Hukuna matana singing that will actually help.
I don't know many people that are that way. And
when people get in the car and they go, hey,
I have to ride up front. I have some friends
where I'm like, that's.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
Just their way.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
I want to ride shotgun like they don't actually get sick.
I feel like it's kind of a you know, they're
faking it just to get a better seat.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
Fake it till you make it, baby, Fake it till
you make it.
Speaker 4 (26:42):
Trump, what's up, my guy?
Speaker 9 (26:44):
Not a whole lot getting ready to head to montgomer.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
Love Montgomery this time of year.
Speaker 9 (26:49):
No, I just want to sell you guys.
Speaker 6 (26:51):
Congratulations And if I remember correct, with Spencer Butler Toys
is just.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Right around the corner, it is fanc you're the first
person to bring it up this year. Spencer's boatloaded Toys
will officially kick off in early November and then we'll
go the whole month and then roll into December and
hopefully we can help out kids with some toys.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
So I hope you're a part of it again. God
to kick that off, Trent, you're the man buddy. Thank you,
we all have a great day.
Speaker 6 (27:17):
Thank you all.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
Thanks Trent,
