Speaker 1 (00:00):
Lie du bean line, d B line, ban line, light
the beam.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Indeed, this is the face you get when we're all
finally healthy and back together again.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Oh, man, I don't know about I've been dodging bullets
over here. Man, don't mean I might be getting sick. Man,
I've told LG to keep his mouth away from me.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
You know.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I feel like I feel like we have been a
mash operation post talker mash operation these last few weeks.
But alas we are back in the room under the
same roof, all together again.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Good to have all of y'all with us as.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Well, broadcasting live here on the north side of San Antonio.
This is the sports Cave with biggest Puma all of course,
along with CAP and LG controlling the mothership in another
room here. I always everything sounds so great when we're
pre show. We're talking back and forth, we've got everything

(01:07):
lined up, and then it's like, as soon as I
hear that intro, the panic sets in. Yeah, it still
always it can all go down, and when it does
that also makes for great content as well. Something else
that happened since we've been away this first of all
weekly schedule thrown around a little bit we'll talk about

(01:30):
that more as we go along. But something else that
happened since the last time we did a show.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Can you think of it? The last show we did Now,
we're gonna get to that in weekend recap.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Because I need to hear a minute by minute account
of how bad I how bad I put him.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Your way as he should, as he should, as he
should know.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
The last show we did. It was the day before
the NFL season opener.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
The day before.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
We were one day till the NFL opening night, So
the Cowboys loss. They did lose, and we'll of course
talk about that along with the full NFL Week one
recap in the main Seggie, oh man, we need a
new countdown. Oh yeah, that's what we do because NFL
opening night has come in past, so we gotta do

(02:24):
NBA opening Buddy.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Sometimes it's simpatico or what. Sometimes the synergy is just
so organic.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I I don't know what to do with myself. We
are drum roll please, I didn't think I was actually
gonna get one.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
I like it. Okay.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
We are forty three days till Spurs opening night, Wednesday,
October twenty second, up in Dallas against number one overall
pick Cooper flag and the Dallas Give me.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Some wimby, Give me some, Give me some flag. I'm
gonna raise them up the pole.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Give me some.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Hopefully Dylan Harper recovering from hand surgery. Yeah, hopefully there's
no delay on his debut and we see him October Wednesday,
October twenty second as well.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Actually have some wimby.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
You think they're gonna throw him in the starting or
do you think they're gonna come on?

Speaker 1 (03:16):
I think he'll come off the bench. Yeah, I think he'll.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I think the the commitment to Fox, the ascension of Castle,
and the fact that Dylan Harper hasn't played a minute
of NBA basketball, I think you're gonna see. No, it's
a hell of a six man to have though, the
number two, most recent number two pick in the NBA draft.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
No, I have.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
We have some wimby news that dropped about an hour
couple hours before we went live today.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Spurs are trying something new. We're gonna do that in
Lightning round.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Because I'm sure a lot of y'all have already seen
the news. But the more I read about it, the
more questions I have. Spurs trying to start a bit
of a super fan section at the arena. Of course,
we've got some more Kawhi news, some more reporting on that,
and more. Apparently Kawhi as a hockey fan, did not

(04:05):
know did not know that, uh exactly, So we got
that in the lightning round as well. Of course, this
is our first episode of the week, so we got
some weekend doings to recap and get to. But since
we didn't do we're supposed to do a show yesterday.
LG still recovering from the plague that I ascended on

(04:28):
this household. Uh, we didn't get to do our National
Day yesterday, and.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
It was actually a good one.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
In comparison, I can see hype for certain days, like
some of them can't wait for Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Well, the most unfortunate is when you know, uh, like
when we have to move, like whenever I was sick
last two weeks ago and it was a National Peach Day,
Like I wasn't as upset about that one.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
That's understandable, or you know, National Bowl League Day. I
was pretty hyped about National the founding of the national parks.
That was a good one. That was a pretty big one. No,
today is like National Teddy Bear Day and also National
care Bear day, So it's the Battle of the Bears today.

(05:17):
I didn't even look to see which one came first.
Couldn't care less but yesterday.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
I will say I used to watch care Bears as
a kid.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Well, did you watch this as a kid, because September eighth,
nineteen sixty six, one of the most influential television shows
ever debuted.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Nineteen sixty six. No, because that would have been after Vietnam.
I was thinking Mash What wasn't Mash Korea anyway?

Speaker 1 (05:45):
I think that was a Korean Okay, I'm pretty sure
because it was like color TV Bewitched.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
No, but I didn't. No, that's I dream a genie.
I watched way too much nickd and Night as a kid. No,
This would go On started as a TV show, became
multiple other uh television universes, ended up having tons of
movies from multiple decades and generations.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Oh, Star Wars, So close, Star Trek, Star Trek on this, I.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Just pissed off so many Truki's out there.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
D Yeah, my, my, my uncle, and Amarillo, Texas will
never forgive you.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
I think he could take that sin off of Captain Kirk.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
He is well exactly that he I think I'm unsure
which he knows better, the Bible front and back or
the entire lore of Star Trek, because I think those
are his two biggest passions in life.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Does he go to Fai, that's right?

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Does he go through.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
All like the Spaceship nine? Oh buddy, yeah, Space nine.
He's got hot opinions about some of them. Some of
them are absolute Cam Newton ass or at least I've
been indoctrinated. I tried to watch that but card one
the day they put on the streaming site and we
got the first season. It was pretty good, but man,

(07:02):
what's his name? Sir was Sir Alex Ferguson. Sir Alex
urd Ferguson.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Uh, not like the main.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Character, Captain McCart oh Patrick Stewart, But yeah, Sir Patrick Stewart.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
It's just hard to see him do action scenes when
he's ninety years old.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, that doesn't quite play for me.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah, it's like watching the most recent Indiana Jones movie
was on TV this past weekend.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
I just saw that they made one in twenty twenty three.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Yes, did not know No, And it's again watching old
man Harrison Ford try to be badass Indiana Jones.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
It's just doesn't play.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Going across the going, there's always a cavern he has
to cross.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
It doesn't play as well as it as it did
from my childhood. Granted that was those movies are forty
years old, forty plus years old. Yeah, Star Trek Day.
Oh man, it wasn't a good weekend for mister Gunn.
Oh god, I always forget about your Oklahoma state.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Yeah, man, you gonna do beat the Ducks. No, you
weren't going to beat the Oregon Ducks. But can we
not get run out the freaking building?

Speaker 1 (08:06):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Oregon put have could have put a hundred up on
y'all if they really wanted.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
They throttled down in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
They throttled, They throttled down after the first possession of
the third.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Yeah, it was like forty nine and a half.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Yeah, it was not good.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
We are going to talk I got a little bit.
It was a weird weekend for college football.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
So the first round was so good it's hard.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
To again, like in comparison, you know, we had three
top ten matchups Week one and none this past week.
So we're gonna talk a little bit of that in
Weekend Sports. But before we get any further into the program,
let's test that connection from the other room with LG.
Because LG I believe we have some a fairly big

(08:48):
development for the uh for the program here.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
What yeah, that's right.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Oh, he came in, he came.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
We have surpassed five subscribers.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Thank you for that.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
People.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
Now the next goals one thousand. But with five hundred
comes super chats. So you can now super chat in
the chat and uh, yeah that's about it.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
What I'm gonna bena be more interactive with the chat,
you know.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Yeah, and I'm sun Sunset, buy me a coffee.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Ah okay, so let's keep it all in super chat,
taking it to the one place to donate.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Yeah, that makes uh, we'll make it easy on it
and we'll do You never heard of the sunset sunset you? Yeah,
you don't want to say that. Yeah, there are some there.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
Are some different Sunset towns used to be, yeah, used
to be.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
They still are used to be.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
Well, they used to have signs, I should say, And
there used to be signs like when you would enter the.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Town now warning you now the sign is just the
the restaurant that's named the coffee Cup Cafe exactly like,
there's your sign now.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Actually, no, I give them the cracker barrel there.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Yeah, he just staring at you, except it's the real
cracker barrel guy.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
They they did change the last K in that and
it's now coffee cup Cafe with the C.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
So now you know they're not racist.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Liberals go broke.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
No, as LG said, we uh passed five hundred actually
during the last episode, and thank you for that, but
still trying to continue to grow that number, get closer
to one thousand. Subscribing is absolutely free. It will never
cost you a thing. I would I don't know if
I would be able to sleep with myself at night

(10:45):
if we charged for the quality.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Of content we put out. This is pure gold. Yeah
you say.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
That, but the last time I checked, I haven't. I
haven't heard Ron Paul rant about the gold standard or
silver price is lately.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
But it's same.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Project Marvel went through, Yes, because of our intellectual arguments
and not spurs Jesus, I was putting it out there.
Uh now, I was trying to get sandbagged again.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
It went through the first Hurtle. I saw some footage
of a rally. Well obviously Spurs had their own rally
after the UTSA game Saturday at Idol.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Thank you Hector, Oh first super chat there, thinks, Yeah,
that's uh. You will go down in history, Hector.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
We will always remember the five dollars contribution from Hector
to Ector to kick the That was pretty solid. Ector,
sounded like you've been watching these South American World Cup qualifiers.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
There's a heater between Venezuela and Colombia right now.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
No, there was some fairly passionate rally goers opposed to
Project Marvel. Now, granted, they all looked like they were
drawing social security and if we know anything about voting
records people that are.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
They weren't marching too far.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
No, but you know where they do march chairs.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
They march to the voting booth old people have nothing
but time to go stand in line and vote.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
So keep that in mind as we love the guys with.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
The sign when you go to the library to vote.
And I'm like, you know what, sir, you have changed
my mind. Yeah, look, you stood out here for sixteen hours, you, sir,
have changed my mind. I said, no, one.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
I am, I am guilty. I will I will give
him that.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
No, no, no, I've never been the guy that holds the sign,
but I am absolutely the guy that entertains the guy
who holds the sign, because, like you said, he's just
trying to do his civic duty of sharing his position
that he thinks we should support.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
So I hear him out. What else am I going
to do?

Speaker 2 (12:53):
I'm standing in the line at the Lions Club waiting
to vote or the live You have.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
To get out the line, That's the whole point.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
I wave him over.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Look, if he wants to think, I think they're breaching
some laws there. They cannot sit.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
There, buddy. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
There are many times where I go vote in the
city where I just think that's probably not legal.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Neither is that. But alas the.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Old lady giving me a stern look as she gives
you your voting card.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Dude, last time I got chased out of the room
by an old lady because she wanted the pencil back
and I didn't.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
I had forgotten I had it. I was just twirling it. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Yeah, apparently that's a federal offense, according to Karen at
the Lions Club.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Yeah no, it's uh.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
It's good to good to be back in the room
with y'all, We've got a lot to get to. I'm
excited now that we have our Well, hell, we'll just
roll this into the weekend recap. How about the first
full weekend of college football Saturday and NFL Sunday.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
Oh man, so much TV watch glorious, so much TV.
My eyes were hurting, and a lot of naps, a
lot of you know, snoozefest games, and like last night,
until it started getting good at the end. I know
we'll get to it later, but god man, THEA was
boring in the first half.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Yeah, it feels like the you know, rarely do you
get the from Baltimore Bills.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
That's what I was about to say, Why wasn't that Monday?
Well that's a good question.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
The anomaly though, of getting an eighty one point game
in week one, like.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
When you got Lamar and Josh Allen. Sure, I might
go on the.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Over, but those defenses too, I mean, Bills at Bosa.
Oliver is still an absolute monster in the middle there. Normally,
I think you're closer, You're more likely to get the
seventeen sixteen Bengals Browns game than you are the forty
one to forty Bills.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
But like you said it was.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
It was a glorious return of a full football weekend
in our lives. However, the unfortunate thing it is the
roommate's heavy travel sisin sinsin sisin, as Johnny Manzil once
framed it, the she had to fly out Monday morning,

(15:15):
early Monday morning flight. Again, she's living it up in Vegas,
which also I always forget Vegas has a two hour
time difference. So last night, when she's finishing up her
corporate obligations at the bar, which is just host a
bunch of clients until bar closes at two, so she's
calling me, It's four in the morning, and in my head,

(15:37):
I'm thinking, like, oh my god, what is happening. It's
four in the morning, and you I have made clear
my rules about calling me at four in the morning, like,
if someone's dead, tell me about it in the morning.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
If there's nothing I can.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Do, unless you're in jail and you need bail money, exactly,
I will call you a lawyer, you know.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
But like short of that, if there's nothing I can
directly impact at that time, and the time being the
dead middle of the night, just tell me in the morning,
don't don't wake me.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Uh so she wakes me. It's four o'clock.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Completely you know, corporate smashed in a responsible way. But
I'm just like, oh my god, there's a two hour
time difference. It happens every time she goes West. I
forget about it. In the first night, I'm getting, uh like,
do you not cuss her out? But oh no, no, no, I'm.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
Lad.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Look, I think we all, I think we all can
kind of see through the facade here. Well, okay, first
of all, first of all, there is that minor angle.
I mean, now as we embark on Hey honey, we
got super chats open, it's all No, there's there's I mean,

(16:55):
the facade of acting like, oh, don't call me, But
then when I answered it, hey baby, how's a hew's Vegas?

Speaker 1 (17:02):
How's the trip?

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Like it's it's not like I'm an It's more of
a positioning stance than like, I'm not gonna be a
giant jerk about it when you actually do call.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
But good and good job to established there. Try to
try to get.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
The penis, but no the she flew out early Monday morning,
so it's again the the delicate dance of oh, hug
at hug at the airport like, oh man, uh, well
at least you're back Wednesday. It's not gonna be that
big of a trip.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
And you still do the whole dance.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Well, I do the I can't allow the uh, I
can't allow the excitement level to be.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Well, it's not excitement, it's just like you don't.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Kind of excitement. Look, ask me what I've I watched
a three hour documentary about Stephen Paddock on YouTube last night.
I can tell you every conspiracy theory about the Las
Vegas shooting because that that's how I spent my time. No,
that's not probably not a group effort.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
That's probably one that gets saved for whenever I'm on
my own. But I think risky business in Puma just
and socks and no like no one to wear hats.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Okay, well that's allowed.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
That's still that's That's a normal Tuesday when she's not
in Vegas.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
That's just how it is.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
But the problem with her leaving early Monday, that means
there is about a CBS receipt sized list of things
she needs to do before leaving town, Like I gotta
go to gotta go to HB, gotta get some stuff,
gotta go to CBS to get some stuff, some travel
size gotta go to home Depot because she wanted to

(18:51):
buy She's been reading.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
She reads like three books a week now. It's awesome.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Yeah, and we sometimes will read them out loud while
I'm playing video games. But she wanted to go to
home Depot, and so in my head I'm thinking like, okay,
what do we need? Yeah, and I'm like you said,
when a game became a snoozer, it was literally like
all right, I got a forty five minute window, Like,
let's we're walking out right now. We're going straight to

(19:17):
get what we need, no dondling, and back to the couch,
you know. So we go to home Depot and I'm
still trying to figure out because I'm watching games on
my phone. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what
we're getting. She wanted to get the like paint sample strips.
Oh yeah, this swatches the swatches because she's using those

(19:39):
as bookmarks.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Now. So we get to home Depots and realizing.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
She like, I'm gonna remember this one with the lavender.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
So she's matching them with the covers. Oh my god,
it's pretty great. Yeah, I'm telling you. The first week
of the full football heavy on hers.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
Oh dude, we you're taking up too, She's taking too
much time, all.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Right, Yes, well I think that's only when you're pregnant,
so I can.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Testify that that's not where it comes from. The Yeah,
there's there's there's a little more O C.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
D under our roof than I think a lot of
people realize.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
It gets man, it gets worse when you get older.
Like me, I'm like, put the dishes in the right way.
When I remember when I was a kid, I didn't
really give a crap.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Yeah, there's so A big one for me is.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Like locations of things I use often, So like wallet's
going in the same place every time, key's going to
TV remote, same place every time.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Yeah, you know, small things like that. But when uh,
when someone moves that's right, I don't know what to
do with myself.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
My video game remote.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Yeah, that's uh. That's There are certain ticks still that
that stopped me down.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
But short of all of that, it was really the
only thing. And obviously it was football, football, football all weekend,
but uh, Sunday night ended up going to watch the
Sunday Night game at a bar in the neighborhood, not
just to watch the game, but it was actually a
benefit for another one of my buddies. And I wanted

(21:18):
to ask you because I thought you might have encountered
something in your days of bouncing or.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Bar managing, club managing.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
He got absolutely like full on sucker punch attacked, jumped
while closing the bar, like four three weeks ago.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
He was he's a manager of a bar down there
in the neighbor so he had kicked them out. They
were wasted. Oh they got cut off. It was a
dude and his girl. They had come from another bar
in the parking. You know, my neighborhood. That was also
a really weird time. My neighborhood is a.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Full on entertainment district now and it's happened. You know,
there's white women walking dogs with strollers. Now, there's there's
bars that are drawing. It's changing very very fast. Despite
the you know, despite the pushback and the the fear tactics,

(22:17):
my neighbors have hiked up their level of trying to
just be a little more outwardly openly uh antagonistic towards somebody.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
To avoid the word no, no, no, no no no.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
It's the so like I'm talking setting off fireworks on
porches of the airbnbs.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Next to me. Yes, yes, Like we're fighting the gentrification
on the East Side and I'm I'm doing the man, dude,
they're awesome.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
I mean we've lived there seven six six and a
half going on seven years now, and the first six
months it was like a feeling out period, but ever
since then it's been i mean once once they.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Realize that I'm not going anywhere.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
Yeah, well, and also like I'm backwoods country redneck, like
I'm I support everything you're doing, Like I like, guess what.
Sometimes the roommate and I are also screaming at each
other in the front yard in the middle of the night,
like we're not. There's not a whole lot of differences
here at times. Uh so, as they have.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
There was this sorry interrupt, but it always reminds me
of this one guy. And I'm assuming it's a guy
I would love if it was some old lady. But
we get this one house on the Guadaloupe every summer
for my friend's birthday, and we got it like six
years in a row, and I would bring all the fireworks,
all the big stuff, and it was kind of like

(23:44):
a canyon, so it would be a real big pop oh,
and then and the other.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
So then the.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
Person would get pissed off and start shooting the shotgun.
Oh fun, and trying to get that trying to get
the bird pellets. And one time I like, I like snuck.
I was like spy tactics. This year, I was like,
set off the fireworks. I'm gonna figure out which house
it is. I narrow down the house, and all of
a sudden, I was like hey, and then all I

(24:10):
heard a door slam real shut, real quick and everything,
and I'm like, oh, I almost got them, almost got them.
I don't know what I was gonna do.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Yeah, I was about to say, I shotguns.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
Yeah that's probably not odds in your favor. Yeah, well
that that also helps the the liquid confidence there. You know,
my as the neighborhood is changing, there's you know, the
bar we go to is very much a locals neighborhood bar,

(24:39):
Like you're not going there for a club environment, Like
you're not going there to see and be seen. You're
not dressing up to go there, like it's it's a
dive bar, which is which is what I want. It's
my living room because of all the TVs they show sports.
But as the crowd in the neighborhood has started to

(25:00):
shift started, I mean, hell, even there right and all
of those the rooftop bar right there that's next to Bentley's.
So if for those that might not know, talking about
this stretch of you know, Broadway in between Downtown and
the Pearl, that's where all of these bars and uh,

(25:23):
new restaurants have started popping up, and the you know,
with that, there's new crowd coming in. And about three
weeks ago he he's a manager at the bar, was
closing it down. It's like already one thirty, so it's
not quite last call. So if you you know, they

(25:46):
walk in tried to order, he immediately was like, no,
absolutely not, y'all are wasted.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Yeah, you gotta go.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
And of course, and which again talking about shotguns or
other places in the neighbor like Bentley's has had shooting,
or the one hang time too right down the street.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
That's what you play rap music, Well I think I
think that.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Could happen if you played gospel music with some of
the high t love like.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
These all these old stereotropes. Of course, on the our side,
don't let people with flat Bill Hatson, don't let people
with sneakers that look too clean in.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
They wouldn't.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
They were literally, I'm like, why don't you just tell
me not to let black people in. I was like,
I was like, you're going there.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
There was one time, so like a couple of weeks ago,
when I had my handkerchief here, when when I might
or might not have gotten.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
L G deathly ill.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
There was a bar that will go unnamed because we've
since we've since rectified the situation and are back on
good terms. They wouldn't let me in because I had
that orange handkerchief.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
Oh, like, you're like, fine a flag?

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Yes? And I literally I told him. I was like,
first of all, who is who is orange? Second of all,
like I yellows latin kin.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Yellow, but I think orange. I think orange is pretty
neutral for the most part. And you're not a gang member. Yeah,
And and get this, Uh, I can show you the
snot that shows that I've used this all day and I've.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
Had tell me that.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
They're all like, oh, you gotta you got a red fly.
You find a red Bloods flag?

Speaker 1 (27:30):
Huh.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
And I'm like, no, I'm just a Niner fan. And
it matches my outfit and I get sweaty. Yeah, that
is the summertime.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
And I think of the I don't.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Want to ruin my hats, so I like always make
sure they're dry.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
Like the use of uh use Gang's use of sports
logos was something as a kid that was always told
to me, like, oh, when you go to when you
go to a concert in deep Elm, don't be wearing
any kind of team. And I just be like, you
know that, and you know that guy the bulls logo, Yeah,

(28:06):
that's a pretty big one.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
That's a pretty big one, and it's actually being used
per law, and now Supreme Court says you can actually
pull someone over, and I think their immigration status.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
I think the real Madrid one is also fairly tied
in with one of them or the other. But no,
So he kicks this guy out and there's a dispute
and the guy leaves. The girl stays and argues with Josh.
So then he finally tells her like, look, you gotta go.

(28:37):
I'm going to empty the trash. Like I'm closing the
bar in twenty minutes. Anyway, it's almost two, Like y'all
just need to go home, right, So he goes around back,
starts togethering the trash and as he's picking up a
bag just from the side, just pop got him one
time not and then of course went mma on top

(28:57):
of him, just kind of like the like rampage. Jackson's
kind of like that, like it broke his jaw, had
to have surgery, still got his mouth wired.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Shut, Like Kanye, did they find the guy? Uh? There
are developments.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
I don't want to can't say anything, right, yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
But there are. It's all on camera, like it's so stupid.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
So so I've gotten that man kicking people out and
then them coming back and aggravating the situation, especially with
like gunplay or right stuff. Like I was like, hey,
this isn't the first time I had a gun pulled
on me, you know.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Like I was like, how many times would that be?
We won't go there, you know the numbers two for me?

Speaker 3 (29:38):
You got to Yeah, I mean I got shot with
a rock saw gun kicking mushrooms and Louisianas allegedly aged
allegedly but yeah, Like I was just like, man, I'm
just gonna close the door and lock it, Like what
are you gonna do? You know, I'm like shoot through
the window, shoot the people. I was like, you're you're
literally asking to go to jail. You know what I'm saying.

(30:01):
I'm not gonna fight you. I was like, hey, I'm sober,
you're pistel, that's right, you know. I was like, I
weigh about one hundred and fifty more powers than you
and about taller than you. So I was like, the
odds aren't in your favor, man.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
Unless you know, unless you're unless you get snuck, you know,
and like that's man, the key always like I always
have my back on the wall, like being in the butt,
Like I guarantee your friend is gonna be much more
aware of his surroundings. Yeah, what's the what's the zero line?
I'm just gonna keep my back on the wall and
leave the dancing to y'all.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Yeah, Like I'm cool over here, you know. I was
like I see the exits and like I'm I'm so
in tune. Just because we're tall people, we can help
a lot, saying over I can see when someone's getting
pissed off from across the room. I can see three
people merging, you know. And I used to be able
to like be like, oh, here we go get to
get on the microphone when I work the clubs or
something and be like, all right, man, converge on the

(30:58):
outside dance floor.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
We got got some actions. He potentially got something. My
buddy is not as fortunate in those means. He is
more he's a CrossFit mm a bowling ball guy. So
it was didn't have the high visibility. And of course,
I mean the dude came out him from behind, so no, no,

(31:22):
and it was it was good though. It was good
to It was the first time I've seen him since
the hardware still had the hardware. But he can drink,
so he had a He had a beer, which was
he said, it's been nothing but smoothies and soup for
three weeks, which he that was his biggest His biggest

(31:43):
concern was all of the games.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
He's lost the games. He's like, how do I get
this protein in? It's exactly what it was. So I
was asking, he was like, what are you doing creatine shakes?
He's like, well, I just was able to like they
just let me start doing it. He was like God,
like God, bless y'all that take.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
I mean, obviously, looking at this table, it's not not
nearly as not as not as worried about the stomach.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Yeah, not as worried about the physique of my day
to day appearance. But yeah, shout out Josh. It was
really really good to see, especially.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
Just some you know, like a bar manager is just
a social person to begin with, so like a good yeah, correct, Yeah,
and Josh is definitely that. But the uh, you know,
outside of the physical pain of all of that, just
being basically sequestered for almost a month now away from everybody, Uh,

(32:44):
that was what he was saying was was really.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
You can find some peace in that.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
But you definitely get bored.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
I think you get bored, especially if I used to
always take a month off like from going out just
around August and after my birthday, and it's just like
I don't need any of this, you know, but like
I like, I didn't make my money there, so yeah,
I did take a month off. It's still got to
see people. But well, man, Josh, that sucks. That happen

(33:11):
to you, man, gig Well get good.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Yeah. The good thing is he is on the up song.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
I've got to know, we don't we don't hear about
LG's weekend enough in these weekend recaps and I know
this one, uh might might be one that I have
to take a little bit of blame for.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
How uh, LG, how was your weekend?

Speaker 1 (33:33):
How was your weekend? LG?

Speaker 4 (33:35):
Spent it on the couch doing nothing. I watched almost
the whole first season of X Files.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Oh, very nice. That's a twenty four episoder right, I don't.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
Know, I'm I'm I'm like eighteen or nineteen right now,
I think so. I don't know how long they make
those episodes of those seasons. But my back was in pain,
and I was had a cold and a cough and
flew like symptoms.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
A little more of a little more of an a
hole than usual. I was calling him and being like,
we need to do this. He was like, not now,
and I'm like, I'm like, just send me a picture
of these microphone.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
You're lucky, I answered, because there's a there's a bunch
of people. I probably still haven't called back yet.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
Yeah, I'm surprised you got an answer out of it.
How bad? Uh?

Speaker 2 (34:21):
When did when did the when did it start to
consume your body?

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Friday? Okay?

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Yeah, God, there's nothing worse than starting to get sick
on a Friday.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Too. Yeah, I'm sorry, man, I.

Speaker 4 (34:33):
Don't well, it might have been you, but I was
also working in a in like a school environment.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
It was the school. I'm off the dirty, dirty hippies.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
You're working in a petri dish.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
Yeah, is it a young young person, No, you're not allow.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
It's adults. But it's public. It's a lot of people.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
Didn't you get I'm allowed from elementary schools.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
Yeah, it's all been sealed dada.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
When my mom was still an elementary school teacher, every
time I would went, like whenever I was in college,
I'd come back to the I go see her every
time I would sign in as because they it was
you know, of course, school's lock down now, all of that,
so i'd have to even though it's glen Rose, tiny town,
less than three thousand people, it's like, yeah, my grandma

(35:28):
was the school nurse there for decades, like, uh, all
of that. They wouldn't let me just walk in and
go to a room, and I'd always have to sign in.
So every single time I would sign in as a
former dictator, it was like either Joseph Stalin or pol Pot.
I never went full never went full German with it,
but you could get away with a lot of the

(35:50):
other ones. And then eventually someone in the office caught
on to it, and my mom very angrily asked me
one time if I was responsible.

Speaker 3 (36:01):
When we went Mussolini they caught on.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
That was probably the final line that they decided, No,
we've got to put a stop to this.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
Well, well, what about you. You got anything from the weekend?

Speaker 3 (36:13):
Yeah, let's go ahead before I get anger of today's
out and give me a minute to talk about my Yankees.
We have been rolling up on the red on the
Blue Jays and steering away from the Red Sox, even
though they're right on our heels. We took two out
of three out of Toronto over the weekend with one

(36:38):
Matt Scherzer tipping his pitches and then getting mad that
judge was sitting there letting, letting the people know.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
Yeah, like, yeah, let's break the ball.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
But when you throw four breaking balls in a row,
I don't think you need to tip the pitch anymore.
You know you're gonna get a breaker. But yeah, it's
all part of the game. There's no electrons, there's no
banging trash cans, there's no buzzers. Yeah, you were wearing
a buzzer out to I know you were all right. Anyway,
we took two out of three from Astros as well,

(37:08):
and we got more coming up with Toronto, Toronto, who's it?
Detroit just mud stomping our ass right now? Like god, man,
we were doing.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
So good intil our bullpen and uh yeah, I got
yelled that last time for watching the game.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
Yeah yeah, I look, I will. I am not above
admitting when when I am wrong.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
I probably probably shouldn't have dropped an F bomb at
you as you were massively distracted because uh I.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Ranger with it.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
Look, I might or might not be watching every inning
of Rangers baseball again after the recent run they've been on.
You talk about the Yankees taking two or three from
the Astros. Rangers also took two or three from the Astros.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
Over the love it, I love it.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
And also, man, you know, we need we gotta help
me out Fantasy Football League. We need some kind of
theme that we will not break, you know, music restrictions
or something like that, U copyright restriction. We need to
have a little do do do Do.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
Do Do Do Do do do do do.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Do I'm glad you said this. We are soliciting. I
want to I want some bed music. And I was
so my buddy Josh, Uh, he's in a band, and
I was talking because this whole band was there.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
For the for the benefit.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
Maybe like a keyboard, keyboard guitar.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
We're working on some ideas. Yeah, we're working. I'm gonna
try to get them to make us some bad music.
But anybody out there, anybody listening, Uh, definitely if you've
got if you've got some musical talent, make uh.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
Let us some bed music.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
Let's go ahead and do the recap of the week,
starting with the Captain Kream's competition got his revenge over
one Eli's ubers for stealing some of his picks. Gotcha Eli,
one fourteen to one hundred. I'm not gonna say the
points unless we get really close. And then one King
Henry of the Hampton's Ivan took one from his friend

(39:19):
Sergio Papaya ze FC with a one fifty six one
sixteen domination. Then we go ahead and get the wild
card out of a z Lani took took a close
one low score one o six to ninety from teen
momentumers eighty three. I do love that name. And then

(39:40):
of course Puma, who is the worst manager as else
And thank you, zeb I saw the one ninety nine
donation on super chat. You are the only one who's
gonna be managing that team. Just know that he does
not rely on this guy for anything I got.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
I got a funny one.

Speaker 3 (39:56):
So Puma's posse squeaked one out one hundred to eighty
two against Tulsa State Fair Skyride.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Did you say someone scored one hundred and fifty six, Yeah,
that is one.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
I even because he guess what, Henry Derrick Henry went
off on him.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Yeah, he's King Henry.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
Yeah, he's he's been he's been riding high. I've been
hearing a lot from him, and I kind of just
need to ignore him right now. But uh, then the
AI Overlords with the chat top Betiszl took one over
against James Gang one twenty three to one oh four,
and rounding it rounding it off is the bricasol Ferguson

(40:34):
with a one twenty seven stomping over eight off Oliver Bush.
Still want to know what that name means? With an
eighty five, that is our weekend recapture.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
Mm hmmm, Still want to know what that name means
are we doing a bit there?

Speaker 3 (40:51):
I don't know what it means. I with eight off,
Oliver say it slow, eight off.

Speaker 1 (40:58):
Eight off all thought. I swear to god, I thought
you've been doing a bit. No, I've not even doing
a bit man like LG. You obviously got to get that,
had to know way.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
I feel like, yeah, he didn't know it either. I
feel like that, like you never said anything. I was like,
I'm really like, what does that mean? No, because I
thought it was hilarious that you were doing it was
like a Chris Berman still trying to figure out what
that name is man Circle the Wagons in Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
So I did see speaking of my fantasy.

Speaker 2 (41:34):
First of all, I saw it was the first week
in years, like twenty something years that there hasn't been
a player score thirty points or more so, like scoring
was down all the way across the board.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
It usually happens that the first first first two weeks
the rampant up. That's when everybody starts throwing out crazy
trades and all that kind of stuff. I got my
first crazy trade today trying to get Rashi Rice for
me for what who was it?

Speaker 1 (42:00):
The rook that feels a little early it was.

Speaker 3 (42:03):
It wasn't even good oh golden from the ut guy
from oh from the Packers.

Speaker 1 (42:09):
Yeah, yeah, I like not giddy.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
ID So I I might have absolutely forgot all about
my team until I know you so Sunday night, like
I said, Zeb, Yeah, way it goes zeb the Uh well,
first of all, Zeb, we might you might actually be
under some scrutiny because the first overall pick in the

(42:33):
draft didn't even score five points. You know how much
Jamar Chase f me up all over the other leagues
like three different teams. I saw that was the lost
one by like a point and a half because of
Jamar And that's why the athletes hate fantasy football. Yeah,
because guess what happened. The Bengals are one and oh
that's all that matters.

Speaker 3 (42:53):
The first time they won like they were one in
nine in the first two games the season under Joe Burrow.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
It was almost one in ten. We'll talk about that
in the main sec. Yeah, I saw.

Speaker 2 (43:01):
That was the biggest headline I saw from the Fantasy
week in Jamar Chase is happening to you by Judge
Judge watnerot Beard.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
The looking at the rest of the matchups, though the
I was Sunday night.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
I'm at the benefit with my buddies. They're all talking
fantasy football, and one of them says, Hey, I heard
on the U I heard on the show.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
You're you're actually doing a team with a guy.

Speaker 2 (43:34):
How how'd y'all do this week? And I just stood
there in silence of like the initial panic of like,
oh crap, but was I supposed to did we set lineup?

Speaker 3 (43:43):
Like?

Speaker 1 (43:43):
Was I supposed to do anything? Zeb luckily had everything covered, like, uh.

Speaker 3 (43:48):
Has he made you a co manager yet where you
can actually do things.

Speaker 1 (43:50):
So I can't?

Speaker 2 (43:51):
Yes, But that makes me nervous now too, because I
don't know if we both have to.

Speaker 3 (43:55):
Like Zeb, I am a ruthless fantasy player, I'm gonna
put some things in his ear about two o'clock at
night when I.

Speaker 1 (44:01):
Know he's little. Yeah, that's that's when.

Speaker 3 (44:04):
It's gonna be, right right around Saturday night when I
do this, and he might change the lineup on you. Yeah,
that's what At the Puma crawl that's going there, Blooma's
got a stalk here.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
Look if you remember, you remember halfway through the year
last year where all of a sudden, Zeke was starting again.

Speaker 1 (44:22):
Yeah, see, you gotta let Jerry Jerry sometimes and that's
gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
No, So they asked me about it, and I completely panicked.
So I'm scrambling on my phone. I'm trying to pull
it up, and I see that Tulsa State Fair Skyride
is smoking us. I mean, and we've only scored like, yeah,
seventy eight, seventy nine points. And so then I'm looking
at the lineup and I'm like, oh god, Jamar Chase,

(44:50):
yeah he was terrible.

Speaker 1 (44:51):
I forgot he was on my team. That's not good.
And I'm looking at you know, I've got no one
that has scored more than like fifteen points except Jalen Hurt. Buddy,
I forgot.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
I had two people playing Monday night. Yeah, So I'm
like panicking and I'm down.

Speaker 1 (45:07):
I'm out. And then Monday when I.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
Really was like, wait, I think zeb drafted Swift, Like
I think I have Swift, and it was like Swift, Wait,
I think I have in Jones. I think I have
Aaron Jones too. So christis averted. We are one and
oh which again like Jamar Chase and the Bengals, that's
all that matters.

Speaker 3 (45:25):
One and oh yeah, the Bingles.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
I love.

Speaker 3 (45:30):
Don't even said that in the chat the Bengals. What
is a Bengal?

Speaker 2 (45:34):
We don't have you and I don't match up to
like week eight or something, right, didn't we look at that?

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (45:40):
Well, so well, no one tell him there's two games
on Monday, so he really freaks out.

Speaker 1 (45:45):
Are we get a Monday double header next week? Yes, sir,
oh ah. I'm kind of against the Monday double header.

Speaker 3 (45:53):
Usually it's like the first week, I was like, why
is it week two? But it's because they did the
Brazil That makes sense. That makes sense.

Speaker 1 (46:02):
Well, before we get into NFL talk, I do want
to mention a little bit of the college football weekend.
We had mentioned.

Speaker 2 (46:14):
It was a it was on paper a way less
exciting weekend matchup wise.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
But everybody got the wins that they're supposed to win.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
You know. Yeah, I don't think except for Florida.

Speaker 3 (46:26):
Except for Florida.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
The only one that really.

Speaker 3 (46:31):
I think I think they overperformed last week in my opinion.

Speaker 2 (46:34):
Yeah, I mean I think Billy Napier is still their
head coat. I mean that don't think that's that's probably
your your first sign uh And UCF is actually I
mean they're beyond uh, they're beyond middle tier American team.

Speaker 3 (46:49):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (46:49):
This year they're actually I think they're probably will stay
in the top twenty five most of the year, even
through the conference schedule.

Speaker 1 (46:57):
But mentioned the Oklahoma State.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
We had what was it four four teams in the
top twenty five score seventy or more.

Speaker 1 (47:07):
Points. Yeah, I means just something.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
It didn't help that Gundy started being like, yeah, playing
at a conference game, coaches are talking about the nil
money being more on par with what we're spending and
stuff like that, and it's like, oh god, Gundy, do
not go old man on me right now. You know, change,
change with the times, man, see.

Speaker 2 (47:29):
And that's the we mean Schuba Hubbard to come over
there and tell you that Newsmax is a racist place.

Speaker 1 (47:34):
No, he wasn't Newsmax. He was the other one. Oh
yeah he was. He was.

Speaker 2 (47:38):
He was real Patriot News. Yeah, that's the thing. You
either you either have to be Nick Saban and just
say I'm done, I'm not doing this, this isn't what
I want to do and you walk away, or you
have to be someone who embraced it.

Speaker 3 (47:56):
Even though Gundhy is overperformed and uh, like there is
never a five star recruit that walks through those doors.
No got Oklahoma State. No, so for him to coach
up you know, two and three stars to where we're
always having a winning season and somehow we're always in
the mix for the Big twelve championship. But when we

(48:17):
do the old Pope choke. He's a good coach, you
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
Like the problem is now he's losing those two and
three star guys to programs.

Speaker 3 (48:26):
Like because of the money.

Speaker 1 (48:28):
But like where's like TCU, Baylor SM you gotta.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
Have an oil man.

Speaker 1 (48:31):
We had t Boom Pickings.

Speaker 3 (48:33):
Yeah, that's there another oil man that we can get
some money from.

Speaker 2 (48:36):
I mean, like Tech has their Cody Campbell, the former
player who's now.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
Funding everything for them.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
It does surprise me that there's not some Oklahoma State
alum that has deep oil money.

Speaker 3 (48:48):
Still, you know what really killed us?

Speaker 1 (48:50):
Also, I think if y'all just got rid of guandhy,
you might find some oil. But you might find someone
who's like, oh wait, we're actually making changes. I'll put
the one thousand and twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (49:06):
Point scored Jesus on Saturday in college football, And somehow,
randomly I always love it when numbers fall like this.

Speaker 1 (49:18):
One thousand, twenty eight point.

Speaker 2 (49:20):
Scored is the second most scored in a single day
in college football in the ap pole era, so we're
talking college football dating back to nineteen thirty six. It's
the second most point scored in a single day, the
record one point more one and twenty nine. Oh my god,

(49:40):
we were one point shot point away from a record
of having the most point scored, which is always I
didn't see what year that was, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (49:49):
Good little stick the got.

Speaker 2 (49:54):
You know mentioned you know, Texas one beat San Jose State,
but really a five minute stress where they score four
touchdowns and blow the game wide open five minute stretch
in the second quarter.

Speaker 1 (50:07):
There's still.

Speaker 2 (50:09):
Texas is still a ways away from being I think
ready for their SEC schedule.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
Art is so good.

Speaker 3 (50:15):
He's got a polish up, man.

Speaker 1 (50:16):
What do you think? Do you have you been keeping
tabs at all? On the conspiracy of potential injury that
he's battling some kind of shoulder issue because he keeps
keeps doing this between plays and adjusting his shoulder pads
and it looks like he's working something. He's grimacing.

Speaker 3 (50:35):
Never I haven't heard that, so I don't be watching.

Speaker 1 (50:38):
For it the Austin media. But why why would they?

Speaker 3 (50:42):
It seems like he's a manning they would shut him down.

Speaker 1 (50:44):
That's see. That's where I think there's been like we're
not gonna risk it.

Speaker 2 (50:48):
It's weird because I mean, seeing the mannerisms during the game,
it is kind of weird, and I think it does
validate the questions being asked, like they were like overthrows,
it's something clearly something or maybe it's just the aggravation.
Maybe it's just a nervous tick. And then the grimacing

(51:10):
is that, oh that was a bad throw, and it's.

Speaker 3 (51:12):
It's always I hated the strap, my armpitched.

Speaker 1 (51:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (51:15):
Yeah, maybe they're just runt chafing him, rubbing him raw.
They asked Sark about it yesterday, fair as Sark about
it yesterday, and he had a weird response of like,
why are you talking about my guy's facial I don't
follow you to the bathroom to see what faces you
make when.

Speaker 1 (51:32):
I'm watching in the bathroom. It was very weird. It was, man,
it was a very weird.

Speaker 3 (51:39):
I think there is something wrong. He's over compensating exactly.

Speaker 1 (51:43):
It's like were.

Speaker 2 (51:45):
Like I think I think I think a lot of
people in positions of power could just take notes from
when you do certain things.

Speaker 1 (51:56):
It just makes people wonder maybe there is a yeah,
like that's nothing because I haven't seen it.

Speaker 3 (52:05):
I don't know what you talk about.

Speaker 1 (52:06):
But while you talk about it, wrong see that.

Speaker 2 (52:11):
It seems like SARK has a little bit of that
going on right now. But uh still got the win
against San Jose State UTEP UTEP this weekend, come to town.

Speaker 3 (52:24):
We had the Route us a rivalry this week How
did that turn out? I did not get to watch it.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
Yeah, well, I'll tell you this. I made I made
some decent money on parking. The tailgate. Tailgate scene was
the highlight.

Speaker 1 (52:38):
Of the day, unfortunately, oh man.

Speaker 2 (52:42):
And it was also probably the only portion of the
day a lot of those people remember, judging by some
of these intoxic It.

Speaker 3 (52:51):
Was that is I can always imagine something fun because
you got to go down the stairs where they tail
You gotta go down the stairs.

Speaker 1 (52:58):
A little bit of a high stairs, a little bit
of a high.

Speaker 3 (53:00):
I'm like, man, there's gonna be somebody stumbling and falling
all down these concrete stairs, like you know, sober I
struggle on those just stairs.

Speaker 2 (53:09):
Yeah, it's not. Yeah, no, it was UTSA Lawrence. That's
a new record. It took fifty eight fifty three minutes
to get there. UTSA secondary gave up way, way, way
too many big plays. I mean, Bob Henry, Robert Henry,
the running back is absolute stud chain mover. UTSA had

(53:32):
no issue moving the ball on offense. They just they
couldn't slow down the white Boy triumphant from Texas State
between Sparks and Perry and Jackson.

Speaker 3 (53:44):
Though our teams a young team, do we have some
seniors and juniors coming back?

Speaker 1 (53:50):
Well, I'll tell you Texas State has a young team.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
UTSA. They it's a young team. It's kind of a
it's a bridge of roster of you know, guys that
Trailer initially recruited to three years ago that are now
stepping in to more prominent positions.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (54:09):
And they've had, you know, they've had some transfers out
of the program because UTSA just doesn't have the money
to retain guys when they do pop.

Speaker 1 (54:19):
Uh, you know, at the mid major level, they've been plaged.

Speaker 3 (54:22):
We're trying to hold onto trailer for dear life right now.

Speaker 2 (54:26):
Yeah, you know, I don't I think the the the
conversation because of course with it being you know, hate
week rivalry I thirty five. You know, Texas State UTSA
the you know a lot of the pieces that I
was seeing coming out of the game is, you know, GJ.
Kenny and Texas State have officially you know, Trailer passed

(54:49):
the torch to his protege a GJ.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
Kenny.

Speaker 2 (54:52):
And because yeah, they have connections from back in high school, Trailer.

Speaker 1 (54:57):
Yeah, that's pretty that's a pretty good drug, right.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
You know, Kenny was at U I w who uts
A plays this week now trying to get their first
win of the season.

Speaker 1 (55:06):
I think that is a bit overblown.

Speaker 2 (55:13):
There's no arguing the fact that Texas State whipped their
ass last year and then they came into the Dome
and had a dramatic win this year. I don't think
the you know, Texas State moving to the whatever the
PAC twelve is now if we even still.

Speaker 1 (55:30):
Are they that what the pack is.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
They're making the move with with the teams like Fresno State,
Utah State.

Speaker 3 (55:38):
USC gonna stick around. They're big ten, all big ten.
I know Oregon was big ten. I right, forgot about that.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
Only it's so weird Oregon and Rutgers or Eugene, Oregon
and New Jersey are now a big ten game. It's
so unstable, untenable. Uh, the only heritage teams are Washington
State and Oregon State. Okay, and then they got and
they're not even getting to twelve. I think they're only

(56:06):
getting to eight to starting next year. So it's weird
off the tongue. I don't right exactly. I don't know
how you compare whatever that conference is next year to
like it's definitely I think it's it's definitely better than
the Sun Belt. I don't know how much better it

(56:28):
is than the American where UTSA is. I mean, it
feels like it's basically the Mountain West plus Washington State
and Oregon State.

Speaker 1 (56:38):
So I guess that's an upgrade over.

Speaker 3 (56:44):
What they're trying to do on the West Coast is
just bring the eyes from the East Coast to see
the teams, because like that was the biggest gripe of
why they never win, Like Oregon quarterbacks would never win
Heisman's or anything like that. Oh yeah, because it's like
East Coast by Yeah, the East Coast by is because like,
oh they played so late, you know, their games started
nine o'clock on a Saturday. East Coast Riders aren't even

(57:07):
watching them in real time.

Speaker 1 (57:09):
Right. Twelve after Dark was so great though.

Speaker 3 (57:12):
Yeah, I loved it, man, back when USC was actually good.
And you know it isn't Cliff Kingsbury, not Cliff Kingsbury.
That the d bag from Oklahoma is coaching.

Speaker 2 (57:22):
The the What Oklahoma fans call him? Uh T b
O T B O W. I know T bow Lincoln
Riley Lincoln b B o W that bitch out West,
That's what Oklahoma fans call him.

Speaker 1 (57:39):
Now.

Speaker 3 (57:40):
They took Caleb Williams from us and look what they
did to him.

Speaker 1 (57:44):
Yeah, they U see Lincoln Lincoln. Uh.

Speaker 3 (57:50):
I've heard a lot of like going to the bed,
like the last few bedroom games whenever there wasn't, I
heard a lot of Caleb Williams.

Speaker 1 (57:57):
Due I would I would imagine, Yeah, I would imagine.

Speaker 2 (58:01):
I mean again, thinking about where UTSA goes from here,
I mean, they lose a game against an m to
open the season they go for probably should have lost
stadium not Oh man, I couldn't disagree more. That's only
like the third game Trailers ever lost in the Dome.

Speaker 1 (58:22):
The Dome is such a home field advantage.

Speaker 5 (58:25):
Really, I just hate that, like a like it's just
I understand the seats are like it reminds me of
my high school gym, you know.

Speaker 2 (58:37):
I just think there's the first of all, what were
we talking about, Like UTSA two offensive coordinators, two former
UTSA offensive coordinators are coordinators for top ten teams right
now because UTSA didn't have the money to keep them.
They lose players because they don't have the nil money.

(58:59):
The baseball that actually is making noise in NCAA tournament
doesn't have near I mean, it's lower than a Double
A quality baseball field.

Speaker 1 (59:09):
It's like a high school level. It's not good.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
So I think the conversation when you think of it
as the overall pie of money, it would just take
so many resources to build an on campus stadium when
you already have the dome. You have a home field
advantage because of the dome. I just I don't I don't.

Speaker 1 (59:34):
See any world where they end up spending money at
this point on a stadium anytime soon.

Speaker 3 (59:40):
When Project Marble aren't think going to upgrade the dome
at that time.

Speaker 2 (59:44):
Part of the third phase of it, they want to
build that land bridge across thirty seven connect where the
Spurs Arena will be with the Alamo Dome, and the
renderings make it look like the renderings make it look
like they want to turn it into hard rock stadium
like the Dolphins stadium.

Speaker 3 (01:00:03):
Yeah, where they kind of have the hole in the
center right exactly, Yeah, and like so they actually let
light in.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
I think there's would be the they want to do
like a glass so it would still be covered all year,
but it would be at least natural light open. I
don't know. I think I get some natural grass in there. Anybody,
maybe we could get some FIFA games again, That's what
I'm talking about.

Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
The get us A. Get us a proper FC.

Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
Team, not a like an MLS team.

Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
I'm yeah, I uh, dude, I'd be more. I've been
covering my mouth a lot this.

Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
I'd be more. I'd be talking with Liga m X.
If you can't convince Mexico to give you a team
to be inane.

Speaker 1 (01:00:49):
Exactly. Yeah. If MLS can do it with Canadian teams,
why can't Leaga MX Mechs do it with San Antonio.

Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
Now I think uts A you can argue they shouldn't
have won the A and M game. Their defense didn't
play well enough to win against Texas State, but that's
a game they were right in. You beat UIW in
a convincing manner, and then you're rolling into conference play

(01:01:18):
as I think third best odds to win the conference.
So you're still looking at potentially a say you lose
one conference game, that's a nine and three season. I mean, what,
let's not get spoiled on what this is.

Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
Like the one time he almost went undefeated, right, I
think that changes not gonna happen every year exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
And also let's all be very very on Owen. McCown
is great. He is a great college quarterback. He's great
prospect to continue to develop and grow.

Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
He's not Frank Harris.

Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
Frank's ability to win games like that, like the Texas
State game on Saturday. That's a game where just Frank
and Cardinals the giant tight end end up having a
great catch on a game winning drive, and we all
just act like that is what UTSA football is expected

(01:02:12):
to do.

Speaker 3 (01:02:12):
We're supposed to expect we're supposed to win at the
end of the game.

Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
Right, And the Texas State is also that's that's not
a flute mirror in Texas State. There you go.

Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
Texas State is going to absolutely make noise in the
Sun Belt as well. I mean, ideally, it'd be awesome
to see both of them win their conference. Still, it's
a weird I would like to go into the conference
with Texas State, Like I think Texas State and UTSA
need to be in the same conference.

Speaker 3 (01:02:41):
I like Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
I would love if eventually the PAC twelve paid the
buyouts for UTSA, Memphis, two Lane, and one other team. Yeah,
take all of them to the PAC twelve and then
you're you are unquestioned the best of the rest.

Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
Yeah, the conference of misfits. Yeah, it would be would
be a little misfitty, Uh for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
To see in the wildcard that ever goes into the
into the playoffs every year, you.

Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
Have to see Memphis play Oregon State in a conference
game would be quite unstable.

Speaker 3 (01:03:18):
But what part of college foot then? Memphis has a
huge city, you know what I'm saying. So a lot
of these places decent TV. You know you're gonna have
people show up, you know what I'm saying. You can
sell the games because that's like I mean, Memphis doesn't
have anything else besides the Grizzlies.

Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
Yeah, even that they're Grizzlies traight and away, second best, third,
best players, LG. Do you have that clip from the
Border War?

Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
Missouri Kansas is always one of those sneaky like it's
way more of a kind of like Pharmageddon, like Kansas
State Iowa State, like it's get that game big time.
It's way more I think for the casual college football fan,
it's not a rivalry you think of, but if you
live in Kansas or.

Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
Missouri, that is the rival you think of. Like, I
think Kansas might get more up playing Missouri than they
do Kansas State. Maybe a Kansas fan could correct me
if I'm wrong, But it seems like the Border War
they look at look at Texas and Oklahoma, many A
and M wasn't the game. It was the Red River
rivalry every year, right, Yeah, very very much so.

Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
Yeah, the the A and M game was always more
tradition and the old like let's let's get nostalgic about
what used to be Texas.

Speaker 1 (01:04:42):
Ou would determine.

Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
A playoff spot or BCS rankings or whatever for the
most part of those years. No, this video is from
so apparently Missouri does a bit where pick a random fan.
They come onto the field, they have a chance to
kick a forty yard field goal, but if they make it,

(01:05:05):
they win twenty five thousand dollars. Oh so yeah, the
Missouri fan that was chosen for.

Speaker 3 (01:05:13):
This getting my head band on, stretching.

Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
You're not going. It's a very interesting setup because again
it's a forty yard field goal and the guy they
chose first of all is an amputee. Oh you ass.
I'm trying to figure out out with one arm or

(01:05:36):
one leg, one leg, but he's got he's got a
he's got a metal leg.

Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
Let's go with the baby.

Speaker 1 (01:05:41):
So I'm trying.

Speaker 3 (01:05:42):
I've seen him, I've seen him do a lot more.

Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
Sure, Well, what Dempsey had you known half a foot
and then set the Phil goal record. So I'm trying to
figure out if meant if Missouri knew he was gonna
do a bit here. But you can kind of see already.

Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
He's in the white shirt, he's uh, he's got metal leg,
and underneath his white shirt he's gonna lift it and
it says f k uk F Kansas and Kansas University.
So he's lifting his shirt up showing the Kansas fans
go ahead.

Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
And roll it rowling. Amum, he just kicks it right
into the Kansas sideline.

Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
That's what he did.

Speaker 1 (01:06:32):
Yes, he lifts his shirt and his chest says, f
K you.

Speaker 3 (01:06:38):
I was wondering what he did because he's like, I
was like, man, watch it again.

Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
Yeah, he just turned and kicked it at the Kansas
sideline as they're all over there, hubbled up. College football
is the best college. What are you gonna do? Beat
up the cripple? What do you do something? Do something
about it? Well, yeah you.

Speaker 3 (01:06:59):
Would, but I'm an egal opportunitist man.

Speaker 1 (01:07:02):
Yeah, I was about to say, there's there's no lines.

Speaker 3 (01:07:05):
In the word of Charlie Murphy. You know what was
it old the old clip that was never on the show.
It was I sent you this clip where he's out
with his brother and this amputee from football was like,
Eddie Murphy, I got money, try go over there. He's like,
I'm going to tip your chair over. You do shut
the f up, And he's all like and I was like,

(01:07:26):
I ain't playing, And Eddie Murphy's like, man, that was
kind of you didn't really need to do that. He
ain't talking now, is he.

Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
Well it's hard to argue with the results sometimes. Yeah,
I so the way I saw that initially, it was
just a reporter on scene had wrote out, had tweeted
out what the guy did. So in my head, you know,
I don't know what I'm imagining. But the reporter never
mentioned the metal leg, never mentioned the fact that it all.

(01:07:57):
The tweet was basically, uh, Missouri student just kicked the.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
Ball into the Kansas sideline. So like every piece of
information that I learned as it went along, it's like,
oh my god, this just keeps getting better.

Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
And he said, I don't care about your twenty five thousand.

Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
Yeah, no, I uhwell do they do they tell them before?

Speaker 3 (01:08:16):
They got to tell them before? Is it like the
day of or the day before where it's like you
get one day to practice, like the old Hank Hill
thing with Roger stahleback and oh, why didn't you take
off the coat?

Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
Will then? God?

Speaker 3 (01:08:28):
You know, I live up in northern Kansas and I've
been practicing that throwing my coat on the whole time.

Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
I didn't want to throw off anything.

Speaker 3 (01:08:36):
Oh I'm so sorry, Roger.

Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
I would assume it's just you're selected at the game. Yeah,
that would be my guest. Yeah, I think those little
raffle things exactly. Yeah, like and they find you in
the and then they call you around. I'm still drinking this. Yeah,
how is it? It looks a little flat? You tell
a Lotner that, Yeah, I do love a good I
do love a good after root beer, but that one

(01:09:01):
looks more like a bit than anything else.

Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
Well, let's get into some NFL talk here for the
rest of the show, because.

Speaker 1 (01:09:08):
Got to talk.

Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
We haven't spoke since the Cowboys lost the season opener
up in Philly twenty four to twenty last Thursday night.

Speaker 3 (01:09:18):
What a game for them to steal.

Speaker 1 (01:09:19):
Bro covered that nine point spread.

Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
Yeah, I was like, well, when you lose your nose
tackle in the beginning of the game, which you know,
Dak being the little instigator he was.

Speaker 1 (01:09:31):
That's that's that Mississippi State psychology degree. Yeah, working for what's.

Speaker 3 (01:09:36):
Going to do about it? What's going to do about it?
Look the I didn't want to hit my guys, so
I spat in between them towards the nose tackle. That's
staring right at me.

Speaker 1 (01:09:46):
Oh. It was absolute gamesmanship and it worked.

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
Dak didn't want Jalen Carter laying on top of him
all night because he knew that's what was gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (01:09:54):
If he's like, I just opened up our running games, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
On thousand percent, and we're gonna talk some winners losers
here and second Yeah, definitely opened up that run game
for Javonte Williams. Yeah, the Jalen Carter. We now learn
today the NFL is calling it a one game suspension. Yeah,
but saying because he technically didn't play.

Speaker 1 (01:10:14):
A snap, yeah, they're gonna take.

Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
They're gonna call that the one game suspension, and they
docked him a game check. But he's still on his
rookie deal. So that was like fifty seven thousand dollars
something like that.

Speaker 3 (01:10:25):
Still still a lot of money.

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
Oh, it's still a lot of money. But uh, he's
gonna get a lot more.

Speaker 2 (01:10:29):
I'm about to say he is close to he's gonna
be getting He's gonna like twenty thirty Yeah, not quite
Micah Edge Rush money, but he'll be the highest paid
defensive tackle for sure before too long.

Speaker 1 (01:10:42):
It's a weird I think most years.

Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
The response from Cowboys fans after that game would be, well,
more of the same.

Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
There's still the Cowboys. That's what they do.

Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
A Dak looked better this year beginning of this year
than he did last year. He's run that play he
made to stop the walking touchdown.

Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
Oh the tackle, yeah, the tackle after the Miles Sanders.

Speaker 3 (01:11:08):
That was, you know, Roethlisberger esque. You know when Jerome
Bettis fumbled it on the one yard line and that was.

Speaker 1 (01:11:16):
The last play before the delay.

Speaker 3 (01:11:18):
Yeah the super Bowl? Oh yeah, yeah, that was the
Super Bowl. I mean, he wouldn't have done that last year.
So it seems like you got a rejuvenized Dac Pickens
a little bit of a non factor CD I have
been one of my leagues, could have just went ham.
But mister stonehands over there.

Speaker 1 (01:11:39):
Is that the worst hundred yard receiving game you've ever seen? Yeah,
it's gotta be right.

Speaker 3 (01:11:43):
Yeah, and then like one of it was just like
one catch was the fifty yarders. So we're talking football here,
not baseball, So focusing what happened, I'm just a pleasant
with oh Man, but not like he dropped three balls

(01:12:04):
at the end of the game that he definitely should
have caught and that would have changed the outcome. And
I would love to have seen a freaking passing attack
from the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
Anything now, anything. I do think that is the gift
in the curse of Jalen Hurts, because his ability to
despite not seeing the passing game open up, not seeing
aj Brown being targeted a whole lot.

Speaker 1 (01:12:32):
Despite all of.

Speaker 3 (01:12:33):
That, DeVante Smith got like one ball, two balls.

Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
But also their offense never really felt like it was
like when they needed when third and six, when they
actually would get into a third and long, Jalen Can
just was getting it with his legs. So yeah, it
feels like there's on some level of you know, Week one,

(01:12:56):
let's just get the win, do what we have to
to get the win. And also I also don't think
it can be discounted that offensive coordinator making his debut,
first time he's calling plays. You know, Kellen Moore offensive
coordinator last year. That offense was so good. That's why
he's coaching head coach of the Saints.

Speaker 3 (01:13:16):
Do you think they're letting Jalen off the leash to
make his own audibles at the line or do you
think he's still heavy on the leash.

Speaker 1 (01:13:25):
I would think I don't. I'd have to go back,
and actually I was.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
I wasn't seeing a lot of I was just seeing
plays being run and That's where I'm just like, I
don't think he's off the leash. And I'm like, you
got to like to when you if Jalen's gonna make
that step to an elite quarterback, you know, to be
the top tier and stuff like that, he's got to
have the power to be like, I see something the I.

Speaker 2 (01:13:49):
Think that another potentially another side of that or another
part of that.

Speaker 1 (01:13:53):
The Cowboys didn't run.

Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
I think the only time they were in man coverage,
Eagles were run the ball, and they didn't.

Speaker 1 (01:14:02):
So he didn't audible.

Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
He didn't really see a whole lot of pre snap
keys that would lead to Audibley.

Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
Didn't dallash like they rushed the they blitzed.

Speaker 1 (01:14:14):
Not until that didn't pick up until second half. The
second half, Yeah, there was, because the first half just
went by so fast.

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
Yeah, oh it was I mean, no punts, no turnovers.
It looked like until the delay, it looked like it
was going to be the fastest game potentially.

Speaker 3 (01:14:29):
Yeah, all season, running the ball, the clock constantly going down,
no drops, no anything. And I was just like how
I was like, what time is it when it was halftime,
because I swear I was like, man, that was like
forty five minutes.

Speaker 1 (01:14:41):
But it felt like it.

Speaker 3 (01:14:43):
Yeah, but that was a game they definitely let get away.
They could have. They cowboyed Cowboys cowboy.

Speaker 2 (01:14:51):
And Okay, so speaking of that, Cowboys cowboying and well
that's the same old Cowboys. I haven't been hearing as
much of that. There's been a lot more of the
time the moral victory aspect of hey, look we didn't
get our pants pulled down on National TV, Shody ran more.

(01:15:11):
If if the amount of pre snap motion that Shody
ran the Cowboys ran Thursday, if they just average that
same amount throughout the whole year, they'll be top five
in the league in pre snap motion. Last couple of
years under McCarthy they were bottom five. So, like, I
think there's a lot of that's.

Speaker 3 (01:15:30):
Why they did have a lot more pre snap motion.

Speaker 1 (01:15:32):
On that they didn't have much of a pass rush.

Speaker 2 (01:15:35):
No, probably instantly see the effects of not having a
game wrecker like Micah.

Speaker 1 (01:15:40):
Parsons on the field.

Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
That's right, Michael Parsons, Sorry, Jay, but I think the
the foundational takeaways are leading a lot of Cowboys fans
to go more the more moral victory route, which don't conclusion.

Speaker 3 (01:15:57):
They they ran Javante like he just got like the
other team just lost their starting nose tackle.

Speaker 1 (01:16:04):
Yeah, yeah, which they did. That's correct.

Speaker 3 (01:16:06):
They totally threw away the game plan and was like, wow,
Jalen Carr's not in there. Well, let's pound the rock
up the middle of Javante and see what happens. Oh
an a yard game. So let's just let's just keep
doing this.

Speaker 2 (01:16:18):
Something Shoddy has spoken in depth about throughout training camp
is that they want He specifically referenced his dad like
he does in every single interview. I did it, but
you know, Shoddy ball with his dad, Marty, it was
always run the ball, be physical, play defense, and play

(01:16:40):
and then build off of that with play action.

Speaker 1 (01:16:42):
So I I.

Speaker 2 (01:16:43):
Do think the if Javonte will First of all, if
Javonte Williams has that for seventeen games, that'll be a miracle.

Speaker 3 (01:16:53):
I I I don't think that is. Javonte Williams is
gonna be heavily picked up on the waiver wire and
slotting a lot of people's fantasy leagues. Next week, he
ain't getting the same Davante.

Speaker 1 (01:17:07):
I put money on that one. Well, it's a bad
matchup next week against that Giants defensive front. Yeah, that's
really bad. But I do believe.

Speaker 2 (01:17:17):
I do believe the Cowboys are going to force the
run game and the Well, let's talk about.

Speaker 1 (01:17:23):
Some winners, winners and losers, because it ties into everything
we're saying. You mentioned Dak looked great. I had Dak
as a winner, absolutely, and Ferguson catches that touchdown ball
across the middle. You've got to catch that. You know
you're going to get lit up. Might as well catch
it because that's all the Eagles. It was.

Speaker 2 (01:17:44):
But it was It couldn't have thrown the ball any better.
I mean, it was perfectly thrown ball. And then the
CD drops three fourth one where he's diving out at
the very end.

Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
That's a drop for CD just because he's that good.

Speaker 3 (01:17:59):
But that's if you want to be the top three receiver.
Like that was like remind me of last year before
you got heard, Like it was this first game back
and it was, Yeah, he had to lay out a
little bit, but you wanted that money, right, you wanted
to be that number one guy.

Speaker 1 (01:18:15):
And game on the line, Yeah, you got you gotta
make that. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
The other the drop on the middle seam route where
I think it was was it Tolbert that ran his
route into CD's route a little bit but still hit
CD just perfectly in stride and the numbers over the
little confusion but still very catchable ball. I mean the DAK.
If that's the version of DAK you get all season,

(01:18:42):
there's no reason to say this isn't a team that
covers the over underwin total.

Speaker 1 (01:18:49):
Seven and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:18:49):
I think that's a that's a nine win performance, nine
win team, especially as bad as the Giants looked until
they put Jason Jackson dark in there. And did you
see old buddy and Russell Wilson getting in getting into
it in the on the sideline, which part.

Speaker 3 (01:19:11):
Like the coach in Russell Wilson.

Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
I saw Leak neighbors and coach and Dabble again, and
then I saw Dabble try to give him the high
fight like no, we're good man, right, and then Malik
had Tom Brady.

Speaker 1 (01:19:24):
Wanted no part of that.

Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
But the I would say, Davonte Williams a winner, you know,
Javonte Williams two.

Speaker 3 (01:19:32):
Years removed by default.

Speaker 2 (01:19:34):
From the A C L S Well, I mean, you can't.
It's a very NFL start to the season where we
see the Eagles have a guy his knee blown out
on the kickoff and then a player ejected before the
first snap of the game, like that, What do you
want Davonte Williams to do?

Speaker 1 (01:19:54):
We didn't. He didn't fumble the ball like Miles Sanders did.
All Javonte Williams did was show that he he clearly
is the number one amongst a below average.

Speaker 3 (01:20:05):
Running rushing two rushing artists from Blue or one or was.

Speaker 1 (01:20:09):
He out the whole game? I don't think he don't.

Speaker 3 (01:20:12):
I know, you got I know you gotta put us
out afterwards, but I don't know if he had like
one player or not.

Speaker 1 (01:20:17):
But yeah, he didn't get us. He was a healthy scratch.

Speaker 3 (01:20:21):
Yeah, Davante definitely so was Mazzi, which is.

Speaker 1 (01:20:25):
That's about as low on the totem pole as you
can be.

Speaker 3 (01:20:28):
Yeah, so Davante is the guy for now. But I
don't put a lot of stock in it. Whenever you're
starting nose tackle from a world championship team goes out, sure, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:20:41):
I think.

Speaker 2 (01:20:42):
But also in a league where every single week someone
I mean you, you know your team's already dealing with injuries,
there's going to be guys missing every single week and
you've still got to you still got to perform, and
that's at least give him credit for that. Another winner, though,
tied into that run game performance. First round pick Tyler

(01:21:05):
Booker thought he for a for an offensive lineman making
his NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:21:10):
Debut, I wasn't really focusing on him.

Speaker 2 (01:21:13):
The offensive line, the Cowboys right guard. He Cowboys are
gonna have. They were doing some interesting stuff with the
offensive line.

Speaker 3 (01:21:25):
They were running it up the middle, like.

Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
Yeah, and there's a lot of you know, I don't
think we we didn't talk about this, uh enough for
a whole lot, but I think just the Cowboys ecosystem
during training camp really didn't talk about it. The fact
that they hired Clayton Adams, who's a former offensive line coach,
to be their offensive coordinator.

Speaker 1 (01:21:49):
Keep an eye on that.

Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
Like with a with a young offensive line corps like
they have.

Speaker 3 (01:21:53):
The Cowboys can draft offensive line like they they usually.

Speaker 2 (01:21:58):
Tayler guydon struggled, but he was least playable.

Speaker 1 (01:22:01):
They were able to keep him in the whole game.

Speaker 3 (01:22:04):
Hits than they got losses on offensive line.

Speaker 1 (01:22:06):
Oh for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:22:07):
Yeah, absolutely, That's well, that's one thing and that's where
like you get a competent quarterback in there that doesn't
hold onto the ball and can like move up into
the pocket instead of just running out.

Speaker 1 (01:22:19):
I thought Dak's escapability. I mean, he was literally doing
that stupid swivel drill that he always gets made fun
of it, but he was showing it like it does
not get you sacked. It does. It does actually work.

Speaker 2 (01:22:31):
So yeah, Dak, Tyler, Booker, Javonte Williams all winners on
the offensive side of the ball. And then I would
still Shody just as a win for you know, first
game as a head coach. You didn't get the win,
but you showed that you are at least going to
call a very different game than what we've seen under
Now granted that team under McCarthy with a healthy Dak

(01:22:56):
won twelve games every year. Yeah, I think that it's
way too high of expectations.

Speaker 1 (01:23:02):
For it all depends.

Speaker 3 (01:23:03):
I mean with Shott, he's the way like the play
action and you know, just pounding the ball. You got
to have a solid defense, and they just lost the
main piece. And that's where I think the losers.

Speaker 1 (01:23:16):
That's correct. Yeah, that's where we talk some losers.

Speaker 2 (01:23:18):
I will mention a couple honorable mentions Brandon Aubrey, you
make all your field goals, You're.

Speaker 3 (01:23:23):
A winner, best kicker in the game.

Speaker 2 (01:23:25):
So Sam Williams, who we talked a little bit about
potentially coming up, He's gonna be a free agent after
this year. The box score, if you just looked at
his numbers on paper, I don't there's nothing about that
performance that would really blow you away. But I think
he is setting himself up for a Paig. I liked

(01:23:46):
what I saw from him and Kneelan filling. Again, if
you're comparing them to Micah, there's no comparison. But theoretically
there's a world where Meeland is your new DeMarcus Lawrence
and and Sam Williams is your new Micah. Granted these
are those are poor man's versions of both the guys

(01:24:07):
they're replacing, but it did at least the Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (01:24:11):
Just looked physical. Yeah, for the first time, like the
Cowboys looked like a team, even the dat spitting thing.

Speaker 2 (01:24:17):
They look like a team that wanted they wanted to
and that is.

Speaker 1 (01:24:25):
I think that is a massive improvement on where the
team mentality has been. So Shody gets a little bit
of the win there. Losers.

Speaker 2 (01:24:34):
We talked CD. Obviously the drops you can't can't have that.
Miles Sanders the fumble if you're gonna be the backup
running back.

Speaker 1 (01:24:46):
Got hold on the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:24:47):
Jayden Blue, who his big issue at Texas was fumbling
the ball. I think Jayden Blue is pretty prime to
take that number two spot behind Miles Sanders, which also
Blue way more explosive of an athlete, So it would
make sense to have Miles Sanders as basically yeah, and
Miles Sanders is basically Javonte Williams light biggest loser on

(01:25:13):
the defensive side of the ball one Mazzie Smith, former
first round pick, and you're a healthy scratch on opening night.
I mean you're literally the fifty third man on the roster,
like you're your place is far from comfortable.

Speaker 1 (01:25:28):
But the biggest, biggest, glaring issue with the Cowboys defense
that linebacker corps. It's just there's Kenneth Murray might have
been the lowest graded player on the field for either
team Thursday night, It's it.

Speaker 3 (01:25:46):
By the time they got past the defensive line, it
was like the safeties had.

Speaker 1 (01:25:50):
To step in exactly, and you saw a lot of
Hooker and Donovan Wilson making tackles because Sanborne and Murray
were nowhere to be found. Sanborne, I think is still
I said that real Sandbong is way more I have
way more hopes for him ten weeks from now than
I do Kenneth Murray. By the time they made any

(01:26:13):
kind of substitution and we started to see more of
Marris lefl in the second half, I think he still
only got like six or eight snaps on defense.

Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
It was noticeable though, like all of a sudden at
least you are getting linebackers in the TV screen while
guys are getting tackled, and yeah, very slow. Also that
might have been a reason why Kenneth Murray has been
traded twice while and we go to the opposite side

(01:26:46):
of the spectrum to my team is where you see
the speed of linebackers can totally change the game.

Speaker 3 (01:26:53):
With Fred Warner and d Winters.

Speaker 1 (01:26:55):
Yeah, Fred got his nose popped earlyer.

Speaker 3 (01:26:58):
Yeah, I saw that he got like he makes just
slammed guy and his nose died right on the ground.
And but like you, they patched him up, stitched him up,
went back out there, you know, like a true football player.
But Dee Winners is trying to take over that dra
Greenlaw spot. And he is not as fast, but he's
definitely kicked up his explosiveness from last year because last

(01:27:21):
year he looked like he was our weak point, you know,
definitely losing Dray green Law to injury. And he once
you got those linebackers, then they can kill a run game.
And that was Seattle's whole plan. And I have to
give it up to Sharba Day, which you know he
definitely is about to take Kenneth Walker's spot in Seattle.

Speaker 1 (01:27:42):
I think ZEP drafted him for us. Yeah, I think
we have.

Speaker 3 (01:27:47):
Yeah, So I mean he's he's he's supposed to be
the past catcher as well, so be wary Ken Walker,
the third man. You know, Sharpna looked a little way
more explosive than than anybody than Kenneth Walker. But I
have to give it up for the old Robert Sala

(01:28:09):
Sam fran defense, who didn't give up more than two
hundred yards, who kept the passing game to under one
hundred and under like one hundred and twenty five yards.
Sam Darnold does not look like he deserved that contract, and.

Speaker 2 (01:28:23):
I think they have an out. I think it's really
on paper, just like a one year deal. I think
they have an out, ye right, but you're out, I
think so okay, So he.

Speaker 1 (01:28:35):
It's really front loaded, yeah, correctly.

Speaker 3 (01:28:38):
And of course as we're humming along, Kittle gets injured
on a stupid shovel pass forward and.

Speaker 1 (01:28:45):
Now put on the aisle earlier today.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
So gonna miss at least four games and hamstring. Yeah,
and looks like Juwan Jenny's went out early that game,
couldn't move his arm, but it looks like he's day
to day. Might play next week. I guzn't coming back
for until week five or six. We just signed Kendrick Bourne,
who used to who started with us, then went to

(01:29:10):
the Patriots and then he's kind of floated around. But
he used to be our third down Juan Jennings guy.
But one Ricky Shotgun Purcell, he shined. He's our deep threat.
That that kid from uh Asu went to Florida last year.

Speaker 1 (01:29:29):
Oh piersoll Pierce, the kid that got shot.

Speaker 3 (01:29:32):
Yeah, he's he's looking he's looking like the man. So
I mean, Juwan Jennings, I mean, you want that payday man,
You gotta get out there and outplay that kid. And
then of course Christian McCaffrey looked all but World League
Christian McCaffrey. But he got thirty one snap He yeah,

(01:29:53):
had thirty one snaps, which was that's way too much.

Speaker 1 (01:29:56):
How much did you say of the Robinson.

Speaker 3 (01:29:58):
Robinson He probably got a five or six.

Speaker 1 (01:30:01):
Yeah, Like maybe that's just because it's so fresh since
the trade.

Speaker 3 (01:30:05):
And well, we lost speed, we had lost half our offense,
like we lost Kittle. We game planned on Kittle a
lot during that game. That's what Shanahan said, like right
right after the game, He's like, we game plan so
much with Kittle and then when he got went down
and just you know, he caught four for four with
the touchdown and then he was out.

Speaker 1 (01:30:27):
He look great. You look at that first du Who
was the kid that caught the game winning touchdown?

Speaker 3 (01:30:32):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:30:34):
It was like, yeah, tongus.

Speaker 3 (01:30:36):
Or tongue Tongerson, Tongerson, I believe, Yeah, first catch And
I could have swore Rock Party was just thrown it
in double cover.

Speaker 1 (01:30:45):
Okay, I wanted.

Speaker 3 (01:30:46):
That's why I wanted, and I'm like, here comes the
third pick.

Speaker 1 (01:30:49):
I wanted to.

Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
Ask you because as I was watching that live, I
kind of I thought, oh, that's a terrible decision.

Speaker 3 (01:30:58):
But someone did say like they kind of like, what
was it? Do't it wasn't a homer Jake Tongus Tongus, Okay, yeah,
I thought it was like tonger center Tongus. That's that's
a play where this is like a high point, like
a high ball.

Speaker 1 (01:31:14):
Yeah, you're just giving your receiver a chance.

Speaker 2 (01:31:16):
And that guy was definitely a foot taller than that receiver.

Speaker 3 (01:31:21):
It was just he went and got it. And you
just didn't expect that from a person who's never caught
a ball before. You expect him just to lay back
there and be like, oh, what happened? You know? But
Party trusted him, and Party seven for seven on the
final drive for like what was it eighty one yards
or sixty one yards winning touchdown and then Nick Bosa,

(01:31:44):
our defense comes in and does what it's supposed to.

Speaker 1 (01:31:46):
Do, Robins nine carries still though, nine carries, Yeah, trying
to find a snap count.

Speaker 3 (01:31:53):
Yeah, we did not like once once Party started throwing
double coverage and trying to force balls.

Speaker 2 (01:31:58):
In there, like we were just running the ball constantly.
And Seattle's defense it looks.

Speaker 1 (01:32:05):
Outstanding, especially in that stadium, I mean, with the with
the crowd Yeah, that makes that defense look even better
than they might actually be.

Speaker 3 (01:32:17):
But we'll see if pretty earns the contract, because he's
definitely gonna have to play with some you know, he's
playing with backups. He's he's gonna have to you know,
they're definitely gonna I guarantee you McCaffrey's not going to
touch the ball thirty one times next next game.

Speaker 2 (01:32:35):
Yeah, I'm curious to see what brock Party looks like
without the weapons, Like I.

Speaker 3 (01:32:41):
Know, no, last year we didn't have any weapons.

Speaker 1 (01:32:46):
Yeah, well and it wasn't good. That's why.

Speaker 3 (01:32:50):
That's like, if you wanted the money, he got the money,
but he looked better. His escapability is always like to
believe or not elite.

Speaker 1 (01:32:59):
Yeah, that's like it might be his best skills.

Speaker 3 (01:33:02):
It's Patrick Mahomes esque where it's like he's not gonna
shine like a you know, like a Lamar Jackson or
Josh Allen or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (01:33:11):
But now it's more of a Midwestern version. Yeah, Patrick
Mahomes is that Highway state Iowa state slipperyess.

Speaker 2 (01:33:19):
Definitely more of a homogenized, corn fed version of.

Speaker 3 (01:33:24):
But yeah, so I mean we get next week, we
get a softer i forget who we played next week.

Speaker 1 (01:33:31):
I was just the Saints. We play the Saints.

Speaker 3 (01:33:33):
So Purty injured as well, left shoulder toe, he's questionable,
so we might have to roll out Mac Jones.

Speaker 1 (01:33:42):
Oh that's right, Mac Jones. I couldn't remember, which actually
looked damn good.

Speaker 3 (01:33:51):
Yeah, And so we knowing that we're playing the Saints
in Spencer Rattler, we might just have to throw out
Mac Jones. Was just gonna kill one of my super
Flex leagues because my other person was Jackson Dart and
they already said they're going with Russell Wilson in New
York Giants.

Speaker 1 (01:34:10):
I was happy to hear that. As a cowboy fan
like I, I'd rather I'd.

Speaker 2 (01:34:15):
Rather see Yeah rus than Jackson Dart after what I saw.

Speaker 1 (01:34:20):
Russell Russe was awful. Man, Let's let's burn through.

Speaker 2 (01:34:24):
Uh, let's burn through the rest of the league here
and with the rest of the main Second, because I've
got I've got the games broken down between games that
featured contenders, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:34:35):
Games that featured playoff teams and games that featured teams
kind of on the fringe.

Speaker 3 (01:34:41):
So let's go fringe.

Speaker 2 (01:34:43):
So fringe, I have that Bucks Falcons game someone's got
to win that division. Pennix looked good, Pennis looked really good. Yeah,
until the kicker let them down at the end.

Speaker 1 (01:34:55):
You be cool?

Speaker 2 (01:34:56):
Yeah yeah, Young O had a had a rough Sunday,
missing the game, tying.

Speaker 3 (01:35:01):
Atlanta made a song for you. They accepted you, Young Ho.
You're killing him.

Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
Yeah, wasn't a good week for kickers all around. I
mean I saw all y'all cut Jake moves. Have you
signed a replacement yet?

Speaker 1 (01:35:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:35:13):
We signed oh man who man helped me out chat.

Speaker 2 (01:35:17):
It's not Matt Prater because he had he got picked
up midweek and ends up kicking the game winner for Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (01:35:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:35:26):
Uh, dog tins uh, Jaguars kill expected Eddie Pinero and narrow. Yes,
I don't be like who did he play for before this?
That's why I was like, So, I'm like, man, that
just sounds like an Italian that we just said, Hey.

Speaker 1 (01:35:44):
Give you kick the ball, Okay, now want to come
over to kick the ball now? You sound like the
old Arizona Cardinals announcer that got reprimanded for saying like
I just hate this is the guy's play so hard
and then the game comes down to the leg of
some foreigner, bro, you can't say that foreigner probably well,

(01:36:05):
and then to the play to the play by play credit.
I need to find this clip because the play by
play guy goes, he's from Colorado, and then the Coloraders goes,
you know what I mean? You know, yeah, because I
think it was I think it was one of the
grammaticas or something. He's from California, not Colorado.

Speaker 3 (01:36:23):
But yeah, so Pennis looked good. Baker like Baker's gonna
Baker and that Jabunka like god man, I'm gonna I'm
gonna get canceled trying to say his name.

Speaker 1 (01:36:36):
There you go, just say it real fast. There you go.
He man, he looked stunning.

Speaker 2 (01:36:42):
He looked like the best rookie wide receiver in the
group out of this year's draft.

Speaker 3 (01:36:47):
But like my thing is, when Godwin comes back in
week five or six, there's only one football and you
got Mike Evans and and and Godwin, and then you
also got Buck Irving, who's a stud running back. He's
definitely come on to an elite top ten, top fifteen
running back.

Speaker 2 (01:37:06):
I think the Buccaneers are sneaky, like they're the Falcons
playing them this close. And week one I put about
as much stock as the Browns playing the Bengals close
in Week one.

Speaker 3 (01:37:19):
What three teams have won their division four times the
last last four years.

Speaker 1 (01:37:25):
Have won all four times? Yeah, like they've won their
division Chiefs, Bucks, not the Eagles, because the Cows. Who's
the obvious Sunday Night Oh Bills, Yeah, Bills have dominated. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:37:42):
Yeah, so it's the Buccaneers always have a solid team.

Speaker 2 (01:37:46):
I mean that division is just so bad too, yeah,
because there's no what other team from that division in
the last decade has done.

Speaker 3 (01:37:53):
Yeah, I mean it was besides the Drew Brees Saints,
you know, like.

Speaker 2 (01:37:57):
Yeah, but it go all the way back to Drew
Brees and you find another team that yeah, put up
Cam Newton.

Speaker 3 (01:38:04):
Yeah, but that was never that was never a gimme
Cam Newton Panthers now.

Speaker 1 (01:38:09):
And that was even before Breeze. That was a non factor.

Speaker 3 (01:38:14):
Yeah, that was Breeze and Cam Newton they were battling.
That was That was a good time in the division.

Speaker 1 (01:38:20):
And that division.

Speaker 2 (01:38:20):
Yeah, that's had some good uh MVP quarterbacks between Cam
Breeze and Brady uh late career with the Bucks.

Speaker 1 (01:38:29):
Did he get the MVP? No, I just didn't win it.
With the Bucks. Good point.

Speaker 2 (01:38:37):
Other fringe games I had that Bengals, Browns, Bengals sneak
By seventeen sixteen.

Speaker 1 (01:38:44):
How do you say it?

Speaker 3 (01:38:45):
Bengals Spingles, Bengals.

Speaker 1 (01:38:47):
It's a bengalley Tiger. We talked about this. I don't know, LG.
I'm sorry. How does the rest of the world pronounce
that word Bengals?

Speaker 4 (01:38:58):
That was you Bingles like Crosby. You're pronouncing like Bengals.

Speaker 1 (01:39:04):
Oh, I sure, am, I stand by it now you
still get Now?

Speaker 3 (01:39:10):
You got me saying that man the Bingals. No, it's
the Bengals, man, Bingles, It's not Pringles, it's Bingals.

Speaker 1 (01:39:18):
You said the same I know I did.

Speaker 3 (01:39:22):
That's what I'm trying to say, Bingles Pringles, So the
same thing.

Speaker 1 (01:39:25):
The Bungles pulled it out seventeen sixteen. Oh, Jamar Chase
killed me. Can you imagine?

Speaker 2 (01:39:33):
Can you remember how many people last year picked them,
picked Cincinnati Bengals to win Week one in their survivor polls,
and then they lost.

Speaker 1 (01:39:46):
It almost happened again. That was so close that the
division games in the NFL are always take the underdog
to cover. That's just what I would say.

Speaker 3 (01:39:57):
Well, now, they're now they're two and ten in there
in the Joe Burrow era of the first two games,
first games of every season, and this was the second
game they won. So I mean, look to not pick
them next week, but hopefully we'll have some action out
of Burrow and t Higgins and Jamar Chase the highest
paid wide receivers in the league, combo, and they got

(01:40:20):
chased back there another the other Chase the watch Chase Brown,
who's solid as they come.

Speaker 2 (01:40:28):
Like, what a terrible AFC North game seventeen sixteen and
zero points were scored in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:40:36):
Yeah, that's just like I'm watching the I'm watching the
red zone and I'm like, give me some give me
some Bengals, man, Like what's happening? Give me like, what's happening?
Like nothing was coming up, and I'm like, this is
not good.

Speaker 1 (01:40:48):
I went hard on, like I drafted Burrow.

Speaker 3 (01:40:51):
In like four leagues and yeah, every time I had
the first pick or a second pick, if Chase dropped
to me, I was like, yep, that's my guy.

Speaker 1 (01:41:00):
Flacco almost went for under your.

Speaker 3 (01:41:03):
Take your guy. You have Chase. Yeah, yeah, wait till
almost tanked your thing.

Speaker 2 (01:41:08):
Yeah, Flacco the ageless Wonder with the Browns almost goes
for three hundred. Yeah yeah, I again, I just kind
of like, kind of like that Cowboys Eagles game. If
it's a division matchup, take the take the dog to
cover because those.

Speaker 1 (01:41:24):
Points, those points are nice.

Speaker 2 (01:41:26):
The other fringe playoff game, Uh, Steelers might be a
playoff team, dude.

Speaker 3 (01:41:32):
The ageless Wonder against a Gore.

Speaker 1 (01:41:36):
Three or four four touchdowns, four touchdown.

Speaker 3 (01:41:38):
Four touchdowns, two hundred and sixty odd yards and they
go against a good defense in the Jets, which also
justin Fields coming out like he could have been a
first round QB pick.

Speaker 1 (01:41:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:41:54):
Him and Garrett Wilson looked like they had and I
don't think Garrett didn't crack a hundred, but he was
right there at.

Speaker 1 (01:42:00):
He was close to it. Had one hundred yards.

Speaker 3 (01:42:03):
Deep ball looks good. He rushed for almost one hundred
yards to rushing tds for him. Uh you know Brice Hall,
like I think he got a tuddy what uh the
there is it? Did they draft a tight end? I
believe they drafted know.

Speaker 1 (01:42:23):
Which one the Jets? Jets? Yeah? Uh no, there you
might be thinking of Warren with the Colts.

Speaker 3 (01:42:32):
I know Warren. Yeah, he went hamd on me for
all my fan it. Yeah, the U that was that
was a surprising. That's why I thought the Browns in
the Bengals game was going to be. That was such
a surprise. I was putting everything on Pittsburgh not doing good.

Speaker 2 (01:42:50):
You know, I underestimated exactly how much Aaron Rodgers wanted
to beat the Jets. I really underestimated the animosity that
it's Aaron Rodgers probably should have like should have seen
that come.

Speaker 3 (01:43:04):
Like you know, if I don't take it personal, I
don't care about it.

Speaker 2 (01:43:07):
Well, and all the Steelers do is win against AFC teams. Yeah,
do just enough to make the playoffs. Uh so I
have them as the fringe.

Speaker 1 (01:43:17):
Hell Jets might even be what they do.

Speaker 3 (01:43:20):
I'm excited to see what both of them, as those
teams do next week.

Speaker 1 (01:43:23):
Yeah, I agree. Burning through some of the playoff ones
I had, obviously your Niner Seahawks. Would you say, are
you offended that I have Niners as a solid playoff
team and not a contender right now?

Speaker 3 (01:43:39):
We're a solid playoff team.

Speaker 2 (01:43:40):
Well, who would you say after watching Week one if
you were doing it, what are the teams that you
saw that you're like, that's a surefire contender.

Speaker 3 (01:43:49):
Oh well, Buffalo, Buffalo, not even the Eagles right now,
I would just say, and Buffalo was really the one
that stood out.

Speaker 2 (01:44:02):
Packers, Packers, Packers, what they did to the Lions. Yeah,
that that looks like an NFC contender. And then the
only other game I included was Chiefs Chargers because it's
the question of are the Chiefs still immediately put into
the contender?

Speaker 1 (01:44:20):
Callum, can't?

Speaker 2 (01:44:22):
You got to because until they because until they stopped
going to a super Bowl, can't count them out. But
the hardball with you know, second year with Justin hur
Justin Herbert looking good.

Speaker 3 (01:44:36):
And then Quinn Johnson Johnston he's actually looking like a
first round pick like he was last year in his
second year. And of course Lad McConkie, he's looking good, Like.

Speaker 1 (01:44:51):
What was it?

Speaker 3 (01:44:51):
Who the other there's another kid, Keenan Allen old man, Dude,
that was a great win by the Chargers. Can we
and just Herbert just was like, oh, it's just another win.

Speaker 1 (01:45:02):
Well, I love that mentality. It Can we emphasize the
ridiculousness of a division matchup being played in Brazil in
Week one of the regular season like that, that is
because I was also thinking about who lost the home game.

Speaker 3 (01:45:23):
That was the Kansas City home game.

Speaker 1 (01:45:25):
That was the Chiefs for the.

Speaker 3 (01:45:26):
Home I believe so because they were in red, right, Yeah,
I believe it was a Kansas City home game.

Speaker 2 (01:45:32):
So that's if you're gonna if you're gonna force the
team to lose a home game, it shouldn't be a
divisional game.

Speaker 3 (01:45:40):
If Rodrick Godell got paid underneath the table, the government like,
you better give us two good teams.

Speaker 1 (01:45:46):
Yeah, don't send Jacksonville and Carolina.

Speaker 3 (01:45:50):
Are you taking notes England? You gotta you gotta bribe.

Speaker 2 (01:45:53):
The man seems that way. Okay, the solid will burn
through the rest real quick. Commanders beat the Giants handedly.
How many weeks is Russell Wilson the starting quarterback?

Speaker 1 (01:46:05):
Realistically, he gets pulled halftime this next.

Speaker 2 (01:46:08):
Time, I was about to say, like, there's there's a
scenario where he gets two more quarters and then it's
Jackson dark.

Speaker 3 (01:46:16):
Ball, day ball.

Speaker 1 (01:46:18):
He's he's on the hot seat.

Speaker 3 (01:46:19):
He's gonna be fired within weeks six or seven if
he doesn't start winning.

Speaker 1 (01:46:24):
Yeah, he might.

Speaker 2 (01:46:25):
He might have a race though, to be the first
coach fired after Mike McDaniel's Dolphins performance I've got, but
it might not surprise you to know they fall into
the Cam Newton total ass column here. So we're not
even gonna talk about that game. Yeah, Broncos Titans. I
thought cam Ward was kind of let down by some

(01:46:48):
of his receivers.

Speaker 3 (01:46:50):
Yeah, he did it like they were on the same.

Speaker 2 (01:46:53):
Page exactly, and I think timing was a little off
at times. Of course, that Denver defense is really really good.

Speaker 3 (01:47:00):
I think, like I said, I think they're gonna be
the best defense.

Speaker 1 (01:47:03):
In the league. I think that's a solid.

Speaker 3 (01:47:05):
Certan covered Ridley all game.

Speaker 1 (01:47:08):
Yeah, so the bo Knicks did not look good though,
and again against a bad, horrible, potentially bad bad Titans team. Yeah,
Broncos struggled more than they should have.

Speaker 3 (01:47:22):
If you talk about moral victory, that's a moral victory
for the Titans is how many people had the how
many in like a survival league picked the Broncos. Sure, sure,
almost and almost everyone got eliminated.

Speaker 2 (01:47:35):
Pretty safe on paper, you would have thought pretty safe.
The cam Ward took a couple of multiple really bad sacks,
and I think that's just kind of that happy feat
like it's.

Speaker 3 (01:47:48):
Yeah, I know in one of my leagues he was
negative points.

Speaker 1 (01:47:51):
Yea, all those sacks.

Speaker 3 (01:47:53):
He's a new Kayleb Williams this year.

Speaker 1 (01:47:55):
That makes sense. Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:47:57):
The Rams squeaked by the text That game was so
brutal to watch the most. I feel bad for people
that don't pay for the Sunday ticket or anything because
because San Antonio is Texans and.

Speaker 3 (01:48:12):
You got to watch it for free, you.

Speaker 2 (01:48:14):
Had to watch Rams Texans at the same time while
Packers Lions.

Speaker 1 (01:48:19):
Yeah, was on, like, so you had to have get
you some red zone guys got to the red zone?

Speaker 3 (01:48:25):
Was they were? They were like they there was a
lot of we don't know what to do. Let's just
play some replays from the twelve.

Speaker 1 (01:48:31):
O'clock hour and the three o'clock windows.

Speaker 3 (01:48:34):
The only take only takeaway I got for the positive
for the Texans is their defense looks good. I think
they's gonna be a top five defense. Their defense is
young and fast. I think their defense is gonna be solid.
But C J. Stroud, he's got question marks right now.
He's got question marks.

Speaker 2 (01:48:52):
Yeah, I mean when the offense only puts up nine
points on a I mean the Rams do have some
they have some nice rush pieces, they have nice edge guys,
they've got.

Speaker 3 (01:49:02):
But there's they're supposed to be even in our conference.
They're the third best defense.

Speaker 1 (01:49:06):
That's correct.

Speaker 2 (01:49:06):
Yeah, I know, it's still you got our conference. You
gotta score more than nine points.

Speaker 3 (01:49:10):
We supposed to have Davante Adams that you added in
Pooka as well, and you have you know, Kirrien Williams.
There's a stud running back, but a good backup in Quorum,
you know, and Matthew Golden Boys.

Speaker 1 (01:49:24):
Stafford.

Speaker 3 (01:49:25):
Come on, yeah, you have more than seventeen points.

Speaker 2 (01:49:28):
It really came down to Stafford connecting on that final
that throw to seal the game.

Speaker 1 (01:49:35):
That last drive.

Speaker 2 (01:49:36):
Yeah, you mentioned Caleb Williams. Vikings Bears was it was
one of those weird It was a bad It was
a good bad game. Yeah, Like it was a really
bad game for three quarters.

Speaker 3 (01:49:52):
Like I was watching them. I was watching the Peyton
the Manning Pot Manning cast, one of my favorites. What
a great bit.

Speaker 1 (01:49:58):
Who all was on it last night? I saw Randy
Moss and the later in.

Speaker 3 (01:50:02):
The game, and then when Randy Moss came on, that's
when the Vikings scored three times.

Speaker 1 (01:50:08):
Well look at that. Look at that. It's almost like
it touchdown it's almost like it's Thanksgiving Day when Randy
Moss had three touchdowns against the Cowboys. The interesting really
two takeaways here, and I think it's it's the debuts

(01:50:29):
you talk. You mentioned Caleb Williams.

Speaker 2 (01:50:31):
I think more time Caleb Williams has with Ben Johnson,
I think you're going to see growth.

Speaker 1 (01:50:38):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (01:50:39):
I still don't have when you have the natural ability
of Caleb Williams. I think the fact that he was
with Eberfluse, now the Cowboys defensive coordinator, the fact that
now his head coach is an purely offensive minded guy.
I I'd like to see what Caleb Caleb Williams looks
like halfway through the season as he's run Ben Johnson

(01:51:01):
Thames like, as much as.

Speaker 3 (01:51:06):
The coach was the trick play guy in Detroit and whatnot,
He's like, let's get the normal plays right first before
we start and playing these trick plays.

Speaker 1 (01:51:14):
Yeah. Yeah, you've got to you got to install the system.
I mean again, like Kayleb.

Speaker 3 (01:51:18):
Some of the best things was Kayler Williams rolling out
to the right and beating the defense and getting the
first downs.

Speaker 2 (01:51:24):
And that's some of the you know, the the difference
in natural ability between Caleb Williams and Jared Goffe both
one ones overall that Ben Johnson has now gotten to
work with. I think a lot of people had given
up on golf until Ben Johnson got a hold of him.
I think a lot of people have questions about Caleb Williams.

(01:51:46):
Let's see what Ben Johnson can do. Yeah, uh, you know,
as as the season gets deeper.

Speaker 1 (01:51:50):
But the other side, I mean the now of because.

Speaker 3 (01:52:00):
Jay in the second half became the guy that we
all saw in the preseason.

Speaker 2 (01:52:03):
What was it, correct me? I think it was five
passing yards in the first half.

Speaker 1 (01:52:08):
Five It was.

Speaker 2 (01:52:08):
Discussed five like awful, it was awful, and it wasn't
And it really wasn't even the whole second half.

Speaker 3 (01:52:15):
It was just yeah, it was the last like it
was about four or five minutes left in the third third.

Speaker 1 (01:52:21):
Yeah, so like a twenty minutes of the sixty minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:52:24):
And then he just throws a dime right to Jefferson
coming across the middle low where he's supposed to throw
it in between two defenders. It was like a perfect
elite NFL pass.

Speaker 1 (01:52:35):
I think out of nowhere.

Speaker 2 (01:52:36):
I think the Vikings are waking up today feeling just
fine about their decision to hand the reins to JJ.

Speaker 3 (01:52:44):
Because you spit a first round pick on them, man.

Speaker 2 (01:52:47):
Exactly, and but you're also a fourteen win team. Like, okay,
think about this, when was the last time and a
quarterback was making his NFL debut for a team that
won fourteen games last year, like starting week one? Like,
I can't think of another quarterback who started Week one

(01:53:12):
as a rookie after the team won fourteen.

Speaker 1 (01:53:15):
Games Like that? Just does that far?

Speaker 2 (01:53:18):
Aaron Aaron Rodgers maybe, but yeah, but even well, I
guess it's not JJ's first year technically because of the
injury he REGI but even then, Rogers had Rogers was
on the field at different points of his career before,
Like that was JJ's first time on an NFL field
as a starting quarterback as a quarterback period, I think the.

Speaker 1 (01:53:42):
Vikings are that division is nasty.

Speaker 3 (01:53:45):
Yeah, So it's only going to get better for the
Vikings because Addison is coming back in Week four after
his suspension. Jordan Mason is definitely taking over that job
from Aaron Jones.

Speaker 1 (01:53:58):
Jones had some the receiving.

Speaker 3 (01:54:00):
The receiving he's about to become a third down back,
but Mason's gonna get out, is gonna out touch him.

Speaker 1 (01:54:06):
I don't think you're Yeah, I don't think you're too
far off there.

Speaker 2 (01:54:08):
But again, a team that is breaking in a new
quarterback with you know, the my little experience in the
league that Jay like, you're gonna you're gonna rely on
both those guys. Yeah, both of those running or both
of those threats that they provided.

Speaker 3 (01:54:24):
It is good because Bason was coming. This is his
first contract year, well now has he hasn't got his
first contract yet, but like this is his last year
on his rookie deal, so he this is his show
out year. You got Aaron Jones keeping it down. He's
the veteran. Did he ever know he didn't win one
with the Packers. That's that's a long time ago, but

(01:54:46):
he was. But he's been there. He's gone to the
conference title games and stuff like that. But you also
got to the best receivers tandem and Hockinson on your
you know, and then you also got don't they have
a rookie? Don't they have another kid that's coming up
in the vikings.

Speaker 1 (01:55:03):
I would have to brush up. I'm not as deep
and I may be thinking of my skull roster.

Speaker 3 (01:55:09):
I'm thinking of Detroit and that that one kid who
made that ridiculous almost tesla. Yeah, almost sake Odell Beckham catch, Yeah,
that was nasty.

Speaker 1 (01:55:20):
Uh. The only other games before we're going to close
out with I want to talk about that that Bill's
Ravens game a little bit, but mentioned Colts destroy the Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (01:55:30):
Danny Dimes actually looks good. That that had that two
face of his when he looks amazing and then he's
Danny Dimes and then he's Don Vito and.

Speaker 1 (01:55:40):
Yeah, I like that.

Speaker 2 (01:55:43):
Yeah, Raiders beat the Patriots, another geno almost throwing for
four hundred yards.

Speaker 1 (01:55:51):
Cardinals beat the Saints.

Speaker 2 (01:55:54):
Yeah, that was that was I think we know the
Saints are bad. Curious to see what the Cardinals look
like and.

Speaker 3 (01:56:01):
They got enough weapons. Man, James Connor is still that guy.
Marvin Harrison Junior came up with the solid stat line
and you know, Kyler Murray is gonna Kyler Murray is
gonna run around the ball with the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:56:13):
Travis Hunter played both sides of the ball, but he
said McBride looks good. Travis Hunter and Jee Yeah, yeah,
talking Jaguars Panthers trying to burn.

Speaker 3 (01:56:22):
Through He only had two snaps as a defensive.

Speaker 2 (01:56:24):
So they were bringing him in situationally on defense, but
using him primarily as a receiver on offense. I think
we all had questions of exactly what that would look like.
Uh the the I think that's gonna change the moment
that I heard so much about all off season. Bryce
Young really got some positive momentum late in the year.

Speaker 1 (01:56:46):
Last year.

Speaker 3 (01:56:47):
Oh yeah, that was garbage time.

Speaker 1 (01:56:49):
That was I mean looked bad, bad Jaguars team, I
mean the Panthers team.

Speaker 3 (01:56:58):
Well playing the Jaguars. Yeah, I thought the Jaguars. I
mean I think they were French. I think they're fringe.
Oh you would have them fringe. I think Jaguars are French.
GTN looks a lot better. Brian Thomas junior, Travis Hunter.
You know they got who they else they get. They
just traded Tank Bigsby two to the Eagles, to the Eagles.

(01:57:20):
Keep baking trades NonStop. But then the game of the
week clearly clearly Bill's scoring sixteen points in the last
four minutes of the game. What to be the Gravens
forty one to forty, Lamar going off, Derrick Henry going off.
You know, Josh Allen going off, James Cook got him

(01:57:42):
a tuddy, like.

Speaker 1 (01:57:44):
You want some fun facts, give me some fun pack.

Speaker 2 (01:57:47):
Teams that scored forty or more points and rushed for
two hundred and thirty five yards or more in NFL
history regular season playoffs ever, were two hundred and seventy
seven and oh until Sunday night.

Speaker 1 (01:58:06):
It's a fact.

Speaker 3 (01:58:07):
And both of them, both of them did.

Speaker 1 (01:58:09):
That, Ravens. Yeah, yeah, both end up doing it.

Speaker 2 (01:58:13):
Yeah, So it was like a team who did that
took him out right, Ravens. First time ever a team
has lost a game putting up the speaking of rushing stats,
tell me if which one's crazier, because I kind of
think this next one is even crazier. Josh Allen run

(01:58:34):
had his sixty sixth career rushing touchdown in that game,
sixty six.

Speaker 1 (01:58:39):
It's a fact.

Speaker 2 (01:58:40):
He is now the Bills all time leader in rushing touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (01:58:44):
He passed Thurman, Yeah, passed Thurman.

Speaker 3 (01:58:48):
For Hall of Fame or Oklahoma State's own Thomas, the.

Speaker 2 (01:58:52):
Guy whom it was basing his contract, told out on
I want to make more than Thurman. Thomas, like Josh
Allen is now the NFL is.

Speaker 3 (01:59:01):
I just need one more touchdown from Cook to like
win this.

Speaker 1 (01:59:04):
Think about that?

Speaker 2 (01:59:05):
Well, I was like, quick, what the NFL looked like
during that Cowboys documentary during when it was Cowboys Niners
in the NFC championship every year.

Speaker 3 (01:59:15):
Josh Allen is decided Young you know, did you? Yeah,
he's just a bigger right handed Steve Young.

Speaker 1 (01:59:22):
Steve Young, though didn't have sixty six career rushing touchdowns,
it's still such a different game.

Speaker 3 (01:59:28):
Like I think he had like thirty or forty that
wouldn't surprise me, but like he also didn't play like
Josh Allen's probably played as much as Steve Young right
now before he retired.

Speaker 2 (01:59:40):
Forty three rushing touchdown for Steve Young, Yeah, I oh
yeah in terms of games played already.

Speaker 3 (01:59:46):
Yeah, played for seven or eight years.

Speaker 2 (01:59:48):
Well, Andy had the I mean started his career in
Tampa Bay, had the rookie year with the Bucks. Yeah,
I mean the a game like that is all you
can ask for on opening night.

Speaker 1 (02:00:02):
I mean that.

Speaker 2 (02:00:04):
Like a final a week seventeen week eighteen game too,
was a.

Speaker 1 (02:00:09):
Playoff field advantage exactly.

Speaker 3 (02:00:11):
That was a playoff game.

Speaker 2 (02:00:12):
And then Josh Allen maybe our friends fans should stick
around a little longer and have some faith in us.

Speaker 3 (02:00:18):
Just sharp sticking them.

Speaker 1 (02:00:20):
Talk your ass. You deserve it.

Speaker 2 (02:00:22):
I mean I think, uh yeah, who was it was
Collins Weth saying. And now all of a sudden, there's
twenty thousand Buffalo fans that are trying to get back
into the stadium because, I mean it was obvious it.

Speaker 3 (02:00:35):
Was they were singing at the end. They were like,
oh man, it was like it was almost like a
college game.

Speaker 2 (02:00:41):
It was a college game. They're seeing mister Brightside by
the Killers because that's their their team stadium song to hype.

Speaker 3 (02:00:50):
You know. Someone told me that they because they go
to Buffalo games every year. They told me mister Bryce's Side,
and I was like, really, I love that song, but
I would never Why would they pick that?

Speaker 1 (02:00:58):
Yeah, I wouldn't have.

Speaker 2 (02:00:59):
I think Michigan University of Michigan does it too, which
is why it feels like a college environment.

Speaker 1 (02:01:05):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (02:01:05):
The other one final stat from that game before we
close it out with you mentioned red zone. I've got
some cool red zone footage the since twenty twenty two,
so last three years, when teams have a lead in
the fourth quarter of ten or more, this is the

(02:01:30):
next close So the Chiefs are twenty four and oh
when they're up by double digits in the fourth quarter,
twenty four and o, Eagles twenty seven and one, Lions
twenty one in one.

Speaker 1 (02:01:42):
Just to give you an.

Speaker 2 (02:01:43):
Idea of how the good teams grade out, your Niners
twenty three and two.

Speaker 1 (02:01:48):
So let's say Niners are up there twenty three and two.
That's a nine to twenty win percentage. We lost one
of those in the Super Bowl. The botto.

Speaker 3 (02:01:56):
Yeah, yeah, maybe those two are the super Bowl the.

Speaker 2 (02:01:58):
Bottom might be the bottom two teams in terms of
win percentage when leading by ten or more in the
fourth quarter of a game.

Speaker 1 (02:02:06):
Yeah, Ravens and Bills.

Speaker 2 (02:02:09):
The Ravens have a Ravens are nineteen and two, so
they're basically the same as y'all, but listen to this.

Speaker 1 (02:02:16):
Or the Bills.

Speaker 2 (02:02:17):
The Bills are nineteen and two, the Ravens are twenty
five and six. That's a win percentage of eight oh six,
and the Bills are the next closest team almost a
whole percentage point higher at point nine oh five. Like
the hardball has a problem, that is not just First
of all, that's thirty one games where they've had ten

(02:02:39):
point leads like they are a damn good football team.
They've been up by ten thirty one times in the
fourth quarter of games in the last three years, and
they've lost six of those games.

Speaker 3 (02:02:50):
I know some of you all out there at that
that's a John Harball problem. That's Shanahan like blowing leads
like that.

Speaker 2 (02:02:57):
Yeah, that's in the biggest of games.

Speaker 1 (02:03:01):
That's a lesser hardball, that's what that's what you get
from the lesser of the hardball brothers. Oh LG.

Speaker 2 (02:03:08):
Throw that red zone footage up here. I think you
mentioned should get. Everyone needs red zone.

Speaker 3 (02:03:14):
If you're in the fantasy man, there's nothing better.

Speaker 2 (02:03:17):
So the reason I much prefer just watching a full
game to hear the announcer to get the full narrative
of ups and downs throughout the game. But red zone
is also great for if, say, your female roommate is
actually going to attempt to watch football with you, no

(02:03:37):
commercials except for what they had two minutes of commercial,
fifteen second commercials accumulatively over the seven hours. Roommates roommates, Yeah,
I'm canceling, cancel the NFL. Roommates love red Zone channel
because it's just all action it's only the plays that matter.

Speaker 3 (02:03:57):
It's all they got. The old buddy, forget his name,
that does the play. Scott Hansen, not handsome, so telling
you exactly how to walk through it so they can
understand it.

Speaker 1 (02:04:07):
This is what it looks like.

Speaker 2 (02:04:09):
This is what he actually is doing, because you think
about it through most of the day.

Speaker 1 (02:04:15):
You're just hearing him.

Speaker 2 (02:04:17):
You're not actually seeing him on screen unless they do
like a you know, a behind the podium shot.

Speaker 3 (02:04:24):
I've heard some interviews of him, like he doesn't go
to the bathroom that whole seven hours. He sits there
and doesn't drink.

Speaker 1 (02:04:30):
Water unless he's got a catheter in. No, he doesn't.

Speaker 3 (02:04:33):
He doesn't drink water. It's like how Corey like not
Booker whatever, that politician.

Speaker 1 (02:04:38):
Oh no, that is Booker, Corey Booker.

Speaker 3 (02:04:42):
He had to prep not drinking water so he didn't
have to go to the bathroom. Same thing Scott Hansen
does every weekend. He doesn't eat, He doesn't. He has
he has like a physical routine he goes through so
he can sit there and be locked.

Speaker 2 (02:04:53):
In as as a wise man once said, thank you
for what you do to your body, because this is
the gold that Scott Hansen delivers on Sundays.

Speaker 3 (02:05:03):
ELG, you gonna come back there?

Speaker 2 (02:05:05):
Possibly because of the we had almost made it the
whole episode. Is he gonna come on computer?

Speaker 1 (02:05:15):
How did that save anything?

Speaker 2 (02:05:20):
So you're literally he's like right on the producer's back shoulder,
just leaning over, staring at the monitor, miked up the
whole time. I guess I had never thought about it
of what it actually looked like. But he's just moving around,
just bouncing around, getting whatever cut they're going to.

Speaker 3 (02:05:42):
I wish we could be like the interview that he
says that he does in his house when he like
watches like college games. He has nine TVs all round
in like a room, and he's watching all of them
and he's sitting there and he does stands.

Speaker 1 (02:05:56):
Up the whole time.

Speaker 3 (02:05:58):
Yeah, I uh so imagine him doing that for two
days straight.

Speaker 1 (02:06:02):
I did.

Speaker 2 (02:06:03):
Speaking of LG loving the behind the scenes production, I
did send him video. The Rangers released another behind the
scenes production video because they had to walk off win
against the Astros over the weekend, so I did send
him that. I'm sure he uh, I'm sure he enjoyed
both of those, right, LG right right? Uh, not to
the point of enjoyment that let's get to the light around.

(02:06:27):
Let's get to the lightning round.

Speaker 1 (02:06:29):
Close it out.

Speaker 2 (02:06:29):
So I mentioned at the top Wemby Spurs had an announcement.
Wimby is apparently taking charge of this attempt to They
want super fans. They want ultras is what they call
him in Europe, like the you know when you watch
a European soccer game and you see the guys with

(02:06:51):
the flares and the giant t FO that they're unfurling,
and everyone the body painters and everyone has they know
what to chance all together at the same there's a
supervan for you. The Spurs the idea on the surface.
When I read that, I thought, oh badass, that's great. Cool,

(02:07:13):
Like the you know Bomber with the Clippers. They built
the wall and players were actually talking about how it
actually did impact, you know, their focus at the free
throw line. So they're the idea seems great. The details
are a little a little interesting.

Speaker 1 (02:07:33):
Okay, So.

Speaker 2 (02:07:35):
Next Sunday or this coming Sunday at seven am. First
of all, why aren't we doing tryouts on a Sunday
at seven am. This is a proper Catholic city.

Speaker 1 (02:07:47):
Everyone that's like I was about to say, that's like weird.

Speaker 3 (02:07:51):
I was like high schools.

Speaker 1 (02:07:52):
It's weird, very weird.

Speaker 2 (02:07:54):
But they're having tryouts, so you go, and I think
it's all. They're going to select like a hundred fifty
to three hundred people for this this superfan section. But
they're charging a membership fee that is nine hundred and
ninety nine dollars.

Speaker 1 (02:08:15):
God, and that irack that.

Speaker 2 (02:08:18):
Doesn't include your actual ticket to the game. That's your
membership fee to be a part of the super fan club.

Speaker 1 (02:08:30):
So it's just gonna be like what like the it's
like these PSLs that people.

Speaker 3 (02:08:34):
Baseline bums or something.

Speaker 1 (02:08:36):
Yeah, just on a grander you know, more more, more people.

Speaker 3 (02:08:41):
But I mean, y'all can give me a thousand dollars
and I'll make a club for y'all.

Speaker 1 (02:08:45):
Yeah, it's you know.

Speaker 2 (02:08:46):
Like the seat the seat licensing deals that you know,
Jerry did it when they built Jerry World. You know
all of those the sections you pay to have the
privilege to buy a ticket in a certain section of
the stadium. So you're paying a membership fee to be
a part of that section, and then you're paying your

(02:09:08):
individual game ticket to get into that section.

Speaker 1 (02:09:12):
Yeah, it's not the feel good story it first.

Speaker 2 (02:09:17):
Appeared as it's kind of it I want to see
more details of Yeah, because if you if you were
only charging the N nine ninety nine dollars for forty
one home games and it also membership fee included ticket price,
I think that'd be like what thirty bucks a game,

(02:09:39):
So that would be reasonable, but to add the ticket
price on top, because also you're gonna want these people
fairly close to the court, so that ticket's.

Speaker 1 (02:09:50):
Not gonna be cheap. No, you're still gonna be forty
one games.

Speaker 3 (02:09:54):
And now that wouldn't be and that we got all
these players and we're actually going into contention, right, kind
of those gonna be two thousand dollars tickets.

Speaker 1 (02:10:01):
Yeah, because again I want to see more details, kind
of like I want to see more details from the
Kawhi report, because dude, it sounds like Uncle the Sun
up in Toronto is reporting now that Uncle Dennis asked
for a partial steak in the maple Leaves and he
had to be told that no, you can't, we can't

(02:10:23):
do that because the people that own the maple Leaves
also owned the Raptors and so that would be you know,
CBA circumventing the salary cap and CBA.

Speaker 2 (02:10:34):
Like, dude, that story we're getting. The more reports we
get from that, I mean, they wanted the no show
job in Toronto. Apparently Toronto was. There was a list
of six things that it's being firmly reported that Uncle
Dennis requested, does any of Paul George trade a no

(02:10:56):
show job? Partial ownership of the Maple Leaves, which Toronto
said no. But you look at the six things that
it's being reported that they demanded.

Speaker 1 (02:11:08):
Well, the Clippers traded for Paul George. Well, the Clippers
gave him a no show jobs? Like what else have
the Clippers actually given?

Speaker 2 (02:11:20):
Feel this cardin, let's get let's not take Ramona Shelbourne's
mouthpiece of Steve Balmer reporting. Let's let's actually get an
investigative reporter like Pablo Torre to keep on it like a.

Speaker 1 (02:11:34):
Dog on a bone. Alright here me LG.

Speaker 3 (02:11:38):
So now that you have said, like I talked about
this super fan group, I've I've heard that the Baltimore
Ravens we need I want to see if the Cowboys
or the Texans do this. The Baltimore Ravens give out
a fantasy football package for a fantasy football league every

(02:11:59):
year sells out immediately. For one thousand dollars. You get
to come to the Ravens Stadium, You get to walk
around on the field, you get shown around, and then
you get to go up in one of the sweets
where they have all you can eat, food, all all
you can drink, and you get to draft your fantasy
football Yeah. So that's what they do to gain money

(02:12:25):
while that stadium is just sitting there. And I'm wondering, sure,
I know.

Speaker 2 (02:12:29):
I know, I know Jerry does tours all day every
day that you can walk through.

Speaker 3 (02:12:34):
That's reasonably cheap. But if they can do one which
averages out almost like seventy bucks a person, if you're
if you're gonna have like a twelve man league, it's
like seventy eighty bucks a person.

Speaker 1 (02:12:46):
That is reason more for the experience. That's more than reasons.

Speaker 3 (02:12:50):
And I gotta know, I gotta know, I would go
to a text, I would go to Houston. I'd even
walk into that turd stain of Jerry World and drafted
Lee there. And yeah, man, we got to find out
if this can make if we can make this happen,
because that would be great. Next year, I think everybody
would anting up sixty dollars seventy dollars to go sit

(02:13:11):
there and walk around, you know, at the stadium, and
then get free food brought into you by the waiters.
You're in one of the sweets, you know, and it's
just that's all it is, is you get like six
hours in there.

Speaker 1 (02:13:23):
No, that's not a bad deal. So even at that rate,
you're paying twelve bucks an hour exactly, that's nothing. Yeah,
free food, that seems I think you can bring your
own alcohol or something like that. That seems like money
very well spent. Hit me, LG. Maybe that's on sports
cave as I'm talking about next year. As I'm talking

(02:13:44):
about did you watch any of the tennis? Uh?

Speaker 3 (02:13:48):
Yeah, I saw someone get boomed.

Speaker 1 (02:13:50):
It was it was rough.

Speaker 2 (02:13:53):
The timing was going up against the first afternoon of
Sunday NFL football. But I did flip over Alkaaz beat Cinner.
They end up splitting the majors. Now for the second
straight year, we are officially in the new.

Speaker 1 (02:14:07):
Era of tennis.

Speaker 2 (02:14:09):
Did you know that Joker just can't keep up for
four weeks? Alcaz specifically trained to beat to play center.

Speaker 1 (02:14:19):
Oh yeah, I mean they're they're the only each other's
only rivals.

Speaker 3 (02:14:23):
At this point, he's basically getting someone to mimic everything
that he does, every shot that he's as he should
that there puts two people on the court and just
sits there and runs back and forth like the doll.

Speaker 2 (02:14:35):
Yeah, outside of the fluky outside of the fluky upset
or you know, one of the American like Fritz or
Fritz Fritz, if he had if he almost forced that
fifth set and Joker was as he was so done.
I was thinking the same thing because that was the

(02:14:56):
night after we did the show last week, and I
was sitting there watching, just like, come on, dude, just
force us force another set.

Speaker 3 (02:15:03):
And even even if he goes, he forced another game
on the fourth set, I think he would have taken
that one.

Speaker 2 (02:15:10):
Yeah, the but outside of I mean Joker is the
gap between the gap between Alcoraz center and then Joker
is almost the gap between Joker and then the rest
of everybody else, Like there are clearly three.

Speaker 3 (02:15:28):
Jokers down in the Fritz and down in that area,
like he's.

Speaker 2 (02:15:32):
Joker is still better than anyone not named al KaAZ.
The age is catching up, but there's still no one.

Speaker 3 (02:15:40):
I would Jokers now the rod then the doll very much.

Speaker 1 (02:15:44):
So well, and he's been that way.

Speaker 2 (02:15:45):
He's just hanging on to try to get one more major,
to break break the tie, break, break the record. I
think Joker is still the best ball hitter on tour.
I think he's still the most consistent. He just can't
get to as many balls now.

Speaker 1 (02:15:58):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:15:59):
And then elsewhere in non American Top four sports the US,
the US national team soccer man looked lifeless in a
two to oh loss to South Korea, ends up winning tonight.

Speaker 1 (02:16:18):
And they switched to a back three. There's still a lot.

Speaker 2 (02:16:22):
Of experimenting seemingly taking place, especially with roster selection. But
we are officially, dude, we're like eight months away from
a World Cup on American soil.

Speaker 3 (02:16:34):
We got to get our craft, gotta get it together.
Got a study from a pro ivy league college claims
that one in every three women is mentally insane.

Speaker 1 (02:16:49):
How much did they pay for that research?

Speaker 3 (02:16:52):
And I wonder if there's any women in that. Yeah, well,
I mean imagine how newest study you know, and you
got him, you're doing it with your gender?

Speaker 1 (02:17:04):
What's the surely, what's the number? If we know it?
For women, we have to know it. For men, like,
what's the percent?

Speaker 3 (02:17:13):
I mean, honestly, as much as I've been gas lip
trying to like and you know by women who like, oh,
like I was just talking to a friend of mine
today and they're like, sounds like you're coming down, I
mean arguing with it. I was like, I just said,
I have your back and blah blah blah, I just
want you to do this and that, and like it
was just so I was just like, man, this like

(02:17:37):
you are reading into things way too much. The overthinking
is and I think it's gone way worse with this texting.
I don't like texting.

Speaker 1 (02:17:47):
Well, there's no emotion in touching because you can be.

Speaker 3 (02:17:49):
Taken out of context.

Speaker 1 (02:17:50):
That's why I like that.

Speaker 2 (02:17:51):
That's why I don't tweet a whole lot because like
I can't. I don't feel comfortable saying thank you, ojay,
saying something without the uh emotion tied to it. Yeah,
because like I mean a lot of the stuff I
say is like smart ass and it doesn't come across
that way if you're just.

Speaker 1 (02:18:09):
Putting it out.

Speaker 3 (02:18:10):
Always said there needs to be a sarcastic text. Fund
give me a sarcastic what's.

Speaker 1 (02:18:15):
The old uh. I think the old ap styling.

Speaker 2 (02:18:17):
Is like uh, like if you italicize it or how
there's like some kind of there's some kind of marking
to denote sarcasm anything else.

Speaker 1 (02:18:27):
Before we get out of there, LG. Hit me, let's
get out. Oh oh it with the lightning.

Speaker 4 (02:18:35):
You said, hit me, let's get out.

Speaker 1 (02:18:37):
Oh yeah, I figured one more time we are late,
we'll get right to it.

Speaker 2 (02:18:43):
This was Susie from Guntersville when she was asked what
she would do with her Powerball winnings. Because unfortunately we
know Susie was not one of the winners. The tickets
were sold, one in Missouri, one up in Fredericksburg, which
might or might not be a ut college student.

Speaker 1 (02:19:03):
Yeah, I got out it or something.

Speaker 2 (02:19:05):
Yeah, I think I think. Well, put the video on
social media. It was a big convenience store up in Fredericksburg.
But I was really hoping Susie would win it because
she's already got big plans for the money.

Speaker 1 (02:19:18):
I tell exactly what I'd do with the first seventy million.
I'd pay off Kaitlin to Boor and get him the
heck out of the University of Alabama, and then I'd
take whatever else it took to get rid of the AD.

Speaker 3 (02:19:30):
I'd give my church money.

Speaker 1 (02:19:32):
Don't have much of what i'd have, you know, after
paying my taxes, but I'm sure i'd have plenty with
this this kind of deal. But I know I'm not
gonna win. I just hope I win some scratch offs.
I just do it for the fun, Okay, positive quick,
tell me, like, close your.

Speaker 3 (02:19:45):
Eyes, I pay off that seventy million, get rid of
go into board, close.

Speaker 2 (02:19:48):
Your eyes and tell me if this does not sound
play it from the top, LG.

Speaker 1 (02:19:53):
I tell exactly what I'd do with the first seventy million.

Speaker 2 (02:19:57):
I'll tell you exactly what i'd do to check at
the same time.

Speaker 1 (02:20:01):
It's that the same accent, it's the same exact delivery.

Speaker 2 (02:20:05):
Oh man, I'll tell you what I do. I'll tell
you what I do with the first seventy million.

Speaker 3 (02:20:09):
You just gotta have that pause real quick the same
time time, and.

Speaker 1 (02:20:15):
Then may we actually have it?
