a rough week in the world of celebrity, but Jimmy

D is still with us, but he's not on the
show today. I have it on good authority Scott that
he has placed himself chained to the gates of Launch
Bay to preserve the legacy of a historic Star Wars
section of disney World.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Weld's favorite part of the Walt Disney World resort in
Central Florida is Launch Bay. Everyone knows that m m
it's it was his lasting legacy, part of the plans
from day one. Yeah, launch Bay.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
So Jimmy is there to try and protect it, much
like a hippie would chain himself to a redwood Jimmy
has chained himself to Launch Bay to try and save
it before they tear it down.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Correct, although they're not tearing it down.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
What are they doing with they is evicting Chewy and
Kylo Wren, Well, just kicking them out. They're gonna be
homeless now they're gonna be oh, I'm sorry, incorrect word.
They're gonna be uh what's what's the unhoused? Yes, yes,
they're gonna be unhoused now.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Well, the thing is, like you say, like Chewy and Kylo,
Chew and Kylo have a place. It just down the
down a walkway.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Oh, you know they are allowed down there now. Darth
Vader doesn't enough to be. In the early days of
Launch Bay, he was my favorite to go and meet
because who doesn't want to meet Darth Vader? He yeah, yeah,
he wouldn't have a place.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
He is now homeless.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
And the BB eight did they still did they still
do the meet with BBA.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
I'm trying to I'm trying to. Look I'm efforting that

Because they used to use when it first started, it
was Darth Vader and Chewbacca, which was awesome. I remember
when they launched Launch Bay it was so exciting because
this is long before Galaxy's Edge. We were so geeked
for this thing. When they put this thing together. Everybody
was out of their mind for it. You could go
meet Vader, he would interact with you. You could meet Chewbacca.

We would have discussions about my hair back in the
day and then they would update it to you get
Kylo Wren, which was definitely a step down from Vader.
And you could meet BB eight all right, you know
they were ready to have that robot.

At launch bay. We've got Darth Vader, Chewbacca, yes, BB
eight astromech mm hmmmm.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
That I also could go. I could go when I
had I had the Disney credit card, like could chase
Disney with Darth Vader on it, and that would be
like a secret, special, different meet and greet.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
That you could go to that is also still there.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
I mean that that one was impressive to me because
they would just have some dude just hanging out waiting
for somebody to come up with their visa card. Yeah,
that seemed like I like the amount of resources that
went into that, which there was never a line for it.
I was always impressed by.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Oh, look who popped into the chat. Mister, I guess
I'm not gonna be on the show today.

Jimmy d yes, Oh he's around, he's uh, he's how

be chained to him. Mean, if he was really dedicated,

Well, I mean if you want to protect Launch Bay,
you got to put yourself at risk.

Okay, we should say that. Disney uh put some context
on this.

Well, Disney World announced plans for the animation courtyard in
Star Wars Launch Bay at Hollywood Studios, and they're going
back to their roots. What is it going to be, Well,
will be an attraction, an experience called the Magic of
Disney Animation.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Oh, that's what they used to have, right, That's what
they used to have. Have they been doing it? It's
been a long time since I've been to Hollywood Studios.
And when I was going, which was quite a few
years ago, launch Bay was kind of like there was
those you know, those things rolling around the dust bunnies.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
Or the tumbleweeds.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
The tumbleweeds, that's the word I wanted. The tumbleweeds were
rolling around and Launch Bay because all the cool stuff
that was there didn't really seem to be there anymore.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Yeah, I mean it's basically just a meet and greet
area and Launch Bay itself is like a meat great
area and a shop mm hmm, the like they remember
they used to have like jawas going around and you
could like barter with them.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Oh, my daughter loved that when she was little. She
loved the javas.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Uh, they don't have that anymore. There is still in
that area. There's like the Playhouse Disney or the Disney
Junior Show, and then they just reopened up the Little
Mermaid Show.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Right. It was great when it was. When it was
you know, they had the movie. You could skip the
movie and they just go straight back. And then they
had a great store. And of course the jahwas who
would they would barter with you? They would only barter
certain things. You had to know what the barter with them.
It was a game. It was you had to you
had to play it smart with them. They didn't want money,
I could tell you them.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
But now once Galaxy's Edge open, I mean that kind
of took all the luster away from it. But I
mean the problem is is it's Cannon. They they're making
a timeline thing. So it was like once launch By
goes away, like there's no more Vader in the park.
Besides yeah, in Star Wars.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah, that's not fair. They should have they should have
pumped up If anything, they should have pumped up launch
Bad to you know, really give love to the old
old movies.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Or decanonize Galaxy's Edge or de timeline it and just
make it all Star Wars characters.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Yeah yeah, or like I have like, yeah, one area
where you step back in time and it's you know,
the Vader era and Boba Fett and all those things.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Or Jaba bring back Star Wars weekends.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Oh my god. Star Wars weekends were great.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Well, they would have like what we had. They would
have e walks and stuff that you could meet.

Oh, they would break out like everything. Princess Amidala, my
wife got to meet her one time. The e walks.
They able to have all these different props and of
course the Darth Maul. That was great.

Well, in twenty twenty six, we'll be getting the the
Return of the Sorcerer hat.

Oh wait, they're bringing it back.

Well, there's gonna be one on top of the building.
Really yeah, not the same size, okay, okay, okay, but
it will be the Magic of Animation building. Okay, uh
you know, learn about hand drawn animation with uh you
know how to draw things?

If you've seen this sounds educational. I don't want to
learn stuff.

You don't have to. Then inside, you will interact with
and explore silly takes on the iconic Disney Disney Animation headquarters,
including the many different studio departments. The playful interactive moments
will be around every corner. You'll see portraits come to life,
just like they did in Once Upon a Studio, which

you should watch on Disney. Plus it's very funk it
like five minutes long. Our youngest Animators to be can
explore the Drawn to Wonderland playground phil with an oversized
flower garden with musical instruments, a mad Tea party playset,
and a toldge wood exploration area. Okay, so it'll be

Yeah. Yeah, I don't imagine they're going to have the
cautionary tale that like we saw in the Imagineering story
when we talk about all those guys and girls getting
laid off every couple of years now, wiping out the
entire department.

I don't get into that, but the transformation of everything
will begin September twenty fifth, twenty twenty five.

So if you want to see Launch Bay, you've got
you know, a month.

Basically, two yeah August August.

So Animation Courtyard, Disney play in Disney Junior playing dance.
Uh those be closing the Little Mermaid Musical Adventure. Will
you will still be able to go do that?

Because it just reopened that. They don't want to shoot
that correct. Yes, yeah, So they're just gonna have like
walls up and you can get to the Mermaid and.

Well I know that, I know that gimmick going. You
get fired from your job, so they just put you
in another job. I know that.

No, you're not fired, it's just your your current position
won't exist anymore.

Yeah, and it's a passionate company that says, you know what,
we don't have this position, but we want to keep
you on. We don't want to, you know, put you
in a bad situation, so we're gonna move you over
to Tower Terror exactly.

like a valet.

I make it at home, but it's still not the
same as the one you get a Disney.

m hm, go over to the commissary. Get that.

at Launch Bay? Is that? Is that not looked upon favorably?

Well, buy one there, buy buy an alcohol there, and
then pour it out.

I don't believe that they do. Surprising, Yeah, but yeah,
go go to the commissary, buy the grilled cheese.

Then see, I'll just pour out the little buffalo sauce
comes with the grilled cheese.

Then you will know, you will you will not waste
that sauce. You're right, but that, but go get that
and then go see Jimmy at Launch Bay. Give him
high five, make sure he's doing Okay.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
We should bring him snacks and an.

Umbrella, sunscreen, umbrella.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Yeah, maybe water, take him, Take him for a bathroom break,
you know, hold a spot while he uses the restaurant.

kudos to him. I'm glad somebody's trying to save Launch Bay.

Well, I did eventually go to the hollow scream at
Bush Garden or at Sea World.

And you're like the biggest defender of Launch Bay.

I haven't been in years. I haven't been probably in
close to a decade, if I had to guess, I
don't know how long it's been, but it's been a while.
I still know. I still had passes in twenty twenty
one for a while. But I think Launch Bay was
closed because it was like a COVID rest stage since God,
the COVID era sucked. Like there were parts that were great,

but there were parts that were terrible. Like I did
love the photos of people at the parks, and literally
nobody was there. But yeah, launch Bay was kind of
a casualty of that. You weren't allowed in there anymore.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
We went to Galaxy's Edge twice and we never went
over to Launch Badge.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
We were busy going to Galaxy's Head, so it was
new and.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
Well, Jimmy was busy making a video for a holiday
party in line.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
He was working in line at the launch of Galaxies.

It's true, and we were. It was also like six
in the morning.

Yeah that too. Speaking of launch, I know you went
out and did something that ties in very nicely to
that this past week. If you see Scott on the stream,
he's got his NASA hat on.

You went out to probably our most unique theme park,
which is Kennedy Space Center.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
Yeah when not s Kennedy Space Center last week had
not been in a very long time. Maybe like on
a field trip.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Yeah, well I went. I went years ago when Peter
Cullen from the Transformers was there. Okay, your dear friend,
and yeah, so many many years ago still though I
don't know how many years ago. Was a lot of
years ago. That was the last time I went. But
it's changed a lot, I know.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
Yeah, They've added a whole bunch of stuff. There's the
Gateway Exhibit, which is like the Deep Space Launch Complex,
which is like the next step of NASA m hm,
so like SpaceX, Boeing all of that stuff. So like
that's like the newest one of the newest things that
they have. Then there's the Space Shuttle Atlantis, which is

the shuttle itself. That's cool in a room hanging from
the ceiling.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Yeah, I mean to be able to be like in
the same room as that thing that went to space
is like a unique opportunity.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
And there's like you go in the building, you kind
of have to like go upstairs and there's like two
pre show things that you have to watch, which like
one is like the origin of the shuttle, like them
making and all sorts of stuff, and then the next
ring you go into is like screams all around you
when it's like a launch that basically happens in front
of you, and like you like, I'm getting like emotional

while this like Hans Zimmery kind of music is playing
and then that video ends, screams, lift up and then boom,
there's the shuttle in front of you.

That's wild. I mean this is generally general, relate, general, generally, generation, generationally, generationally. Yeah,
that word such a big deal for my generation. Your
generation are parents generation uh and now new generations because

I mean it was I guess the new generations don't
quite have the same connection as us when we grew
up in school and watch these space Shuttle launches or
our parents who watch this thing come together and you know,
saw Kennedy make this this thing happen.

Well no, well the crazy thing is like watching like
you know, going to all these things and you watch
these videos and and there's like a sonic boom that happens.
And I was like we were talking about it's like
remember when sonic booms were a thing because the shuttle
was coming back.

Yeah. Now I don't we don't get they go to
where do they go to? Texas all the time? Now
we don't get the sonic.

Well, it's a capsule. A capsule is not going to
cause that.

And you know those yeah those land in like the
deserts are out on the water.

But one of the other things that you can do
is you there's like the bus tours that will like
take you around so you can go to like the
Apollo Saturn five Center where you can see like the
Saturn five rocket, the massive rocket also indoors don't know
how they fit that in there, the Vehicle Assembly Building,
which is like massively tall.

You can that's that's yeah, that's that's one of the
big ones I've heard. It super cool to see that
VAV building.

And then the new thing that they have is called
the Gantry at LC thirty nine, okay, which is a
Launch Complex thirty nine where you can see a bunch
of the launch pads and it's kind of like a
learning exhibit, but they have like a an experience where

it's like where you can feel a rocket engine come
to life above you.

Oh do you uh, do you get like cooked, like
like if you can burn down to your skelet No.

But you can feel that, you can feel some heat
off of it. Oh really, yeah, it's it's kind.

Of cool wind that hurricane a little bit of.

Wind, but mostly heat. And I'm not just saying it
was ninety six degrees outside. It was a different it's
a different heat that you're feeling.

Like, I'm sorry, it was a blustery day.

But it's also like a four and I think it
happens like every ten minutes, like so there's like a
countdown clock for.

It, almost like the dragon at Universal at Harry Potter.

Exactly, but this is also like that. It's like right
on the water. I think it's like the Banana River,
like one of those, and you can go up top
and you can like just watch and like like oh,
there's a bunch of like launch towers. But then you
look in the water. We saw two manates.

We saw like a like a little shark, like a
like a reef shark kind of thing, or a sand
shark like along the water, an alligator, all sorts of
like wildlife and stuff. Because it is also part of
like a nature.

Preserve that is an area where you can get sharks
and gators.

But also too manatees.

Yeah, and then they got a friendly old manates I asked.

Uh. That feels like that feels like a very secondary
thing compared to ours, though ours is the place.

a little bit different because they call it space Inner
Houston out there. But you know, not to get too nerdy,
but like Kennedy's space Thater, they're the ones that do
the launches m H and mission control is in Houston.

So they're the ones that take over after we do
the start.

Yeah, so those guys are just nerds with the computers,
and we got the freaking shot rockets and space shuttles

Well, they do have a thing called the Moonwalker is
a journey with Tom Hanks. Okay, they have like a
Tom Hanks thing, but they also have a lot of
the similar things, like, you know, eat with an astronaut.

We need a witlessness thing here. They got to figure
that out.

My thing is, I still want to go to space camp.

Who doesn't? Yeah, who doesn't want to go to space
They should. If they wanted to really make some money,
they would market it towards adults because we have the money.

Okay, cool, all right, that sounds good, and we.

Are just about a month away from warnings.

Yeah, we need to learn about more houses, I think soon.

I think they're just parsing it out because they know
the demand is there, Like they don't need to you know,
people are gonna go no matter what.

Well, I think at this point, if they do a
WWE house it might be the Hulk Hogan memorial.

a rough week in the world of celebrity, but Jimmy

D is still with us, but he's not on the
show today. I have it on good authority Scott that
he has placed himself chained to the gates of Launch
Bay to preserve the legacy of a historic Star Wars
section of disney World.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Weld's favorite part of the Walt Disney World resort in
Central Florida is Launch Bay. Everyone knows that m m
it's it was his lasting legacy, part of the plans
from day one. Yeah, launch Bay.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
So Jimmy is there to try and protect it, much
like a hippie would chain himself to a redwood Jimmy
has chained himself to Launch Bay to try and save
it before they tear it down.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Correct, although they're not tearing it down.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
What are they doing with they is evicting Chewy and
Kylo Wren, Well, just kicking them out. They're gonna be
homeless now they're gonna be oh, I'm sorry, incorrect word.
They're gonna be uh what's what's the unhoused? Yes, yes,
they're gonna be unhoused now.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Well, the thing is, like you say, like Chewy and Kylo,
Chew and Kylo have a place. It just down the
down a walkway.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Oh, you know they are allowed down there now. Darth
Vader doesn't enough to be. In the early days of
Launch Bay, he was my favorite to go and meet
because who doesn't want to meet Darth Vader? He yeah, yeah,
he wouldn't have a place.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
He is now homeless.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
And the BB eight did they still did they still
do the meet with BBA.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
I'm trying to I'm trying to. Look I'm efforting that
right now.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Because they used to use when it first started, it
was Darth Vader and Chewbacca, which was awesome. I remember
when they launched Launch Bay it was so exciting because
this is long before Galaxy's Edge. We were so geeked
for this thing. When they put this thing together. Everybody
was out of their mind for it. You could go
meet Vader, he would interact with you. You could meet Chewbacca.
(02:42):
We would have discussions about my hair back in the
day and then they would update it to you get
Kylo Wren, which was definitely a step down from Vader.
And you could meet BB eight all right, you know
they were ready to have that robot.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
At launch bay. We've got Darth Vader, Chewbacca, yes, BB
eight astromech mm hmmmm.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
That I also could go. I could go when I
had I had the Disney credit card, like could chase
Disney with Darth Vader on it, and that would be
like a secret, special, different meet and greet.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
That you could go to that is also still there.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
I mean that that one was impressive to me because
they would just have some dude just hanging out waiting
for somebody to come up with their visa card. Yeah,
that seemed like I like the amount of resources that
went into that, which there was never a line for it.
I was always impressed by.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Oh, look who popped into the chat. Mister, I guess
I'm not gonna be on the show today.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Jimmy d yes, Oh he's around, he's uh, he's how
is he chatting? Well? Chained to Launch Bay?
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Well, I mean you could still have digits to the
chain around your waist.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Okay, I just figured his arm with his arms would
be chained to him. Mean, if he was really dedicated,
I mean he would chain his arms and his legs.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
What lake is about to be torn asunder?
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Well, I mean if you want to protect Launch Bay,
you got to put yourself at risk.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
Okay, we should say that. Disney uh put some context
on this.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Well, Disney World announced plans for the animation courtyard in
Star Wars Launch Bay at Hollywood Studios, and they're going
back to their roots. What is it going to be, Well,
will be an attraction, an experience called the Magic of
Disney Animation.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Oh, that's what they used to have, right, That's what
they used to have. Have they been doing it? It's
been a long time since I've been to Hollywood Studios.
And when I was going, which was quite a few
years ago, launch Bay was kind of like there was
those you know, those things rolling around the dust bunnies.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
Or the tumbleweeds.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
The tumbleweeds, that's the word I wanted. The tumbleweeds were
rolling around and Launch Bay because all the cool stuff
that was there didn't really seem to be there anymore.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Yeah, I mean it's basically just a meet and greet
area and Launch Bay itself is like a meat great
area and a shop mm hmm, the like they remember
they used to have like jawas going around and you
could like barter with them.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Oh, my daughter loved that when she was little. She
loved the javas.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Uh, they don't have that anymore. There is still in
that area. There's like the Playhouse Disney or the Disney
Junior Show, and then they just reopened up the Little
Mermaid Show.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Right. It was great when it was. When it was
you know, they had the movie. You could skip the
movie and they just go straight back. And then they
had a great store. And of course the jahwas who
would they would barter with you? They would only barter
certain things. You had to know what the barter with them.
It was a game. It was you had to you
had to play it smart with them. They didn't want money,
I could tell you them.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
But now once Galaxy's Edge open, I mean that kind
of took all the luster away from it. But I
mean the problem is is it's Cannon. They they're making
a timeline thing. So it was like once launch By
goes away, like there's no more Vader in the park.
Besides yeah, in Star Wars.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah, that's not fair. They should have they should have
pumped up If anything, they should have pumped up launch
Bad to you know, really give love to the old
old movies.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Or decanonize Galaxy's Edge or de timeline it and just
make it all Star Wars characters.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Yeah yeah, or like I have like, yeah, one area
where you step back in time and it's you know,
the Vader era and Boba Fett and all those things.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Or Jaba bring back Star Wars weekends.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Oh my god. Star Wars weekends were great.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Well, they would have like what we had. They would
have e walks and stuff that you could meet.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
Oh, they would break out like everything. Princess Amidala, my
wife got to meet her one time. The e walks.
They able to have all these different props and of
course the Darth Maul. That was great.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Well, in twenty twenty six, we'll be getting the the
Return of the Sorcerer hat.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Oh wait, they're bringing it back.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Well, there's gonna be one on top of the building.
Really yeah, not the same size, okay, okay, okay, but
it will be the Magic of Animation building. Okay, uh
you know, learn about hand drawn animation with uh you
know how to draw things?
Speaker 3 (07:23):
If you've seen this sounds educational. I don't want to
learn stuff.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
You don't have to. Then inside, you will interact with
and explore silly takes on the iconic Disney Disney Animation headquarters,
including the many different studio departments. The playful interactive moments
will be around every corner. You'll see portraits come to life,
just like they did in Once Upon a Studio, which
(07:50):
you should watch on Disney. Plus it's very funk it
like five minutes long. Our youngest Animators to be can
explore the Drawn to Wonderland playground phil with an oversized
flower garden with musical instruments, a mad Tea party playset,
and a toldge wood exploration area. Okay, so it'll be
(08:11):
like a playground area too.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Yeah. Yeah, I don't imagine they're going to have the
cautionary tale that like we saw in the Imagineering story
when we talk about all those guys and girls getting
laid off every couple of years now, wiping out the
entire department.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
I don't get into that, but the transformation of everything
will begin September twenty fifth, twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
So if you want to see Launch Bay, you've got
you know, a month.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
Basically, two yeah August August.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Oh yeah, yeah, you got a whole Yeah, you're right,
two months. I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
So Animation Courtyard, Disney play in Disney Junior playing dance.
Uh those be closing the Little Mermaid Musical Adventure. Will
you will still be able to go do that?
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Because it just reopened that. They don't want to shoot
that correct. Yes, yeah, So they're just gonna have like
walls up and you can get to the Mermaid and.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
That'll be in exactly, But go get your Kylo.

What about Vader?
Speaker 4 (09:10):
Hey man, I'm I I don't know.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
I mean, are they gonna have BBA to cast connections?
I will go buy him right now. I will go
buy that BB eight.

I mean, I've always thought that if like an attraction closes,
they should just like, hey, we got to move you
somewhere else and maybe like Vader, will be running Tower Terror.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Well I know that, I know that gimmick going. You
get fired from your job, so they just put you
in another job. I know that.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
No, you're not fired, it's just your your current position
won't exist anymore.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah, and it's a passionate company that says, you know what,
we don't have this position, but we want to keep
you on. We don't want to, you know, put you
in a bad situation, so we're gonna move you over
to Tower Terror exactly.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Yeah, I mean you're still I.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Don't have any problem with that. I'm good with that one.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
You're still in the company, so it still works.

Yeah.

Yeah, I mean we saw in Return of the Jedi
when Jaba claimed C three PO and R two D
two he turned R two D two into a beverage
container serving drinks to people.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Yeah, good use of the guy if you're not going
to use him for other things.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
So maybe they would use you'll BB eight as something
like a valet.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Maybe he's a ball, he rolls around. He's gotta do
something else. I don't know what, but.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Yeah, they'll figure something else. They'll figure something else for him.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
Is gonna be spilled everywhere.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
He Maybe don't have him do that, Maybe don't have
him be a drinks container, but.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Maybe he like you put buffalo, you put chicken in him,
and you can choose your various sauce and then you
roll him around to get the chicken rolled in the sauce.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
You're just thinking about the buffalo chicken grilled cheese from
the commissary right now.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
That is a good sandwich. That is a good sandwich.
I make it at home, but it's still not the
same as the one you get a Disney.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
Yeah, so when you go pay your respects to launch Bay,
m hm, go over to the commissary. Get that.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Are they gonna frown upon me pouring out a forty
at Launch Bay? Is that? Is that not looked upon favorably?
Speaker 4 (11:08):
Well, buy one there, buy buy an alcohol there, and
then pour it out.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Do they sell forties at Disney?
Speaker 4 (11:14):
I don't believe that they do. Surprising, Yeah, but yeah,
go go to the commissary, buy the grilled cheese.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Then see, I'll just pour out the little buffalo sauce
comes with the grilled cheese.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
Then you will know, you will you will not waste
that sauce. You're right, but that, but go get that
and then go see Jimmy at Launch Bay. Give him
high five, make sure he's doing Okay.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
We should bring him snacks and an.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
Umbrella, sunscreen, umbrella.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Yeah, maybe water, take him, Take him for a bathroom break,
you know, hold a spot while he uses the restaurant.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
Oh, whoa, I'm not gonna.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
I just met hold a spot at the at the thing.
You just get chained to the wall for a little while.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
I've never liked the touch of steel to my skin.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Okay, fair enough, all right, Well, you know what, Jimmy's fine.
It's his decision to chain himself to the building. He
can figure out how he decided to do this, and
kudos to him. I'm glad somebody's trying to save Launch Bay.
I have no problem with this.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
Yeah, you who will things into existence and then not go.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Well, I did eventually go to the hollow scream at
Bush Garden or at Sea World.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
And you're like the biggest defender of Launch Bay.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
I haven't been in years. I haven't been probably in
close to a decade, if I had to guess, I
don't know how long it's been, but it's been a while.
I still know. I still had passes in twenty twenty
one for a while. But I think Launch Bay was
closed because it was like a COVID rest stage since God,
the COVID era sucked. Like there were parts that were great,
(12:51):
but there were parts that were terrible. Like I did
love the photos of people at the parks, and literally
nobody was there. But yeah, launch Bay was kind of
a casualty of that. You weren't allowed in there anymore.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
We went to Galaxy's Edge twice and we never went
over to Launch Badge.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
We were busy going to Galaxy's Head, so it was
new and.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
Well, Jimmy was busy making a video for a holiday
party in line.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
He was working in line at the launch of Galaxies.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
It's true, and we were. It was also like six
in the morning.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
Yeah that too. Speaking of launch, I know you went
out and did something that ties in very nicely to
that this past week. If you see Scott on the stream,
he's got his NASA hat on.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
Hat.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
You went out to probably our most unique theme park,
which is Kennedy Space Center.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
Yeah when not s Kennedy Space Center last week had
not been in a very long time. Maybe like on
a field trip.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Yeah, well I went. I went years ago when Peter
Cullen from the Transformers was there. Okay, your dear friend,
and yeah, so many many years ago still though I
don't know how many years ago. Was a lot of
years ago. That was the last time I went. But
it's changed a lot, I know.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
Yeah, They've added a whole bunch of stuff. There's the
Gateway Exhibit, which is like the Deep Space Launch Complex,
which is like the next step of NASA m hm,
so like SpaceX, Boeing all of that stuff. So like
that's like the newest one of the newest things that
they have. Then there's the Space Shuttle Atlantis, which is
(14:31):
the shuttle itself. That's cool in a room hanging from
the ceiling.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Yeah, I mean to be able to be like in
the same room as that thing that went to space
is like a unique opportunity.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
And there's like you go in the building, you kind
of have to like go upstairs and there's like two
pre show things that you have to watch, which like
one is like the origin of the shuttle, like them
making and all sorts of stuff, and then the next
ring you go into is like screams all around you
when it's like a launch that basically happens in front
of you, and like you like, I'm getting like emotional
(15:11):
while this like Hans Zimmery kind of music is playing
and then that video ends, screams, lift up and then boom,
there's the shuttle in front of you.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
That's wild. I mean this is generally general, relate, general, generally, generation, generationally, generationally. Yeah,
that word such a big deal for my generation. Your
generation are parents generation uh and now new generations because
(15:42):
I mean it was I guess the new generations don't
quite have the same connection as us when we grew
up in school and watch these space Shuttle launches or
our parents who watch this thing come together and you know,
saw Kennedy make this this thing happen.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
Well no, well the crazy thing is like watching like
you know, going to all these things and you watch
these videos and and there's like a sonic boom that happens.
And I was like we were talking about it's like
remember when sonic booms were a thing because the shuttle
was coming back.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
Yeah. Now I don't we don't get they go to
where do they go to? Texas all the time? Now
we don't get the sonic.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
Well, it's a capsule. A capsule is not going to
cause that.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
Oh okay, I miss a sonic boom.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
And you know those yeah those land in like the
deserts are out on the water.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Yeah, yeah, I miss a sonic boom.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
But one of the other things that you can do
is you there's like the bus tours that will like
take you around so you can go to like the
Apollo Saturn five Center where you can see like the
Saturn five rocket, the massive rocket also indoors don't know
how they fit that in there, the Vehicle Assembly Building,
which is like massively tall.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
You can that's that's yeah, that's that's one of the
big ones I've heard. It super cool to see that
VAV building.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
And then the new thing that they have is called
the Gantry at LC thirty nine, okay, which is a
Launch Complex thirty nine where you can see a bunch
of the launch pads and it's kind of like a
learning exhibit, but they have like a an experience where
(17:12):
it's like where you can feel a rocket engine come
to life above you.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Oh do you uh, do you get like cooked, like
like if you can burn down to your skelet No.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
But you can feel that, you can feel some heat
off of it. Oh really, yeah, it's it's kind.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Of cool wind that hurricane a little bit of.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Wind, but mostly heat. And I'm not just saying it
was ninety six degrees outside. It was a different it's
a different heat that you're feeling.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
Like, I'm sorry, it was a blustery day.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
But it's also like a four and I think it
happens like every ten minutes, like so there's like a
countdown clock for.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
It, almost like the dragon at Universal at Harry Potter.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
Exactly, but this is also like that. It's like right
on the water. I think it's like the Banana River,
like one of those, and you can go up top
and you can like just watch and like like oh,
there's a bunch of like launch towers. But then you
look in the water. We saw two manates.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Oh nice.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
We saw like a like a little shark, like a
like a reef shark kind of thing, or a sand
shark like along the water, an alligator, all sorts of
like wildlife and stuff. Because it is also part of
like a nature.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
Preserve that is an area where you can get sharks
and gators.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
But also too manatees.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
Yeah, and then they got a friendly old manates I asked.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
If they knew you. They didn't. They didn't, they didn't know.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Yeah, those are not Mexican manatees where I met a
chubby boy.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
They knew chubby boy though.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
That's the thing that's weird. Yeah, and it is weird
that they knew chubby boy.
Speaker 4 (18:41):
But yeah, it was fun. I mean it's an hour
outside of Orlando. It was a great time.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
I mean literally, it's like there's only a couple of
places in the world where like this sort of stuff,
like it's here like in Russia, right, there's nowhere house.
Speaker 4 (18:56):
Right, Well, there's the there's well, I should say, because
in Houston there is the Johnson Space mm hmmm.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Uh. That feels like that feels like a very secondary
thing compared to ours, though ours is the place.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
Well, yes, I will say yes, and no, it's just
a little bit different because they call it space Inner
Houston out there. But you know, not to get too nerdy,
but like Kennedy's space Thater, they're the ones that do
the launches m H and mission control is in Houston.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Yes, Houston, we have a problem.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
So they're the ones that take over after we do
the start.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
Yeah, so those guys are just nerds with the computers,
and we got the freaking shot rockets and space shuttles
over here. So who's cooler.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
Well, they do have a thing called the Moonwalker is
a journey with Tom Hanks. Okay, they have like a
Tom Hanks thing, but they also have a lot of
the similar things, like, you know, eat with an astronaut.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
We need a witlessness thing here. They got to figure
that out.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
My thing is, I still want to go to space camp.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Who doesn't? Yeah, who doesn't want to go to space
They should. If they wanted to really make some money,
they would market it towards adults because we have the money.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
Uh, buddy, I've looked into it.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
Can we do it?
Speaker 4 (20:20):
And I want to make sure I pull this up correctly.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
There is space camp for adults and seniors.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
Okay, all right, I don't want to go with the
seniors though. Those guys always bring it down. Well but
uh complaining, they got problems. They think they belong in
the front of the line all the time. Let them
have their own section. I want the regular adult space
camp where we can, you know, just do our thing,
not old people. Cramp in our style.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
But that that does exist, it's in uh, I believe
it's in Alabama.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Well, what the heck is it doing in Alabama?
Speaker 4 (20:56):
That's where the US Space and Rocket Center is, Tranquility Base,
hunch to Alabama.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Maybe we should look into doing broadcasts from Space Camp,
like like a full on done park broadcast from Space Camp.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
Done. You don't have to talk like me and Jimmy
into doing this.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Yeah, okay, all right, we'll get on the phone with
our manager and make that happen.
