Speaker 1 (00:01):
From the theme park Capital of the World, Orlando, Florida.
This is the Theme Park Podcast. Wait podcast?

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Is this a radio?

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Why does everything gotta be so messy on this station? Anyway?

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Here's your hosts Dickerman, Jimmy D and Scott Harris.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Hey there and welcome to the Theme Park Podcast. Dickerman, here,
there is Jimmy D. What's going on? Phyllis and Scott Harris.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Greetings, foolish mortals.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
S Diickerman, Where are your cans? I forgot my headphones
as some Well, actually I didn't forget him. I couldn't
find them.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
What do you mean he used them every week?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
I put him somewhere. I brought him to the office.
We had to record some stuff at work, and then
I put them somewhere.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
That somewhere is I don't know where gotcha?

Speaker 2 (00:46):
So no headphones from me. I'm naked up up top today.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Can I ask you a question? I watched a movie
this week and this will pertain. I know we do
movie talk sometimes, which usually like leads like tangents, actually
pertains to them, stop like doing like oh we're ninety
seconds in we're talking movies. No, no, no, no. I
watched The People Under the Stairs. Okay, one of your

(01:11):
favorite movies of all time? Great film, I remember nothing
about it. Wasn't your sister one of the people she
was at Halloween Hornites one year? Yeah? So I that's okay,
A gazillion years old.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Is this the hot sister or I don't know what
you're talking about?

Speaker 1 (01:25):
So okay, So you have talked about how the gum
wall in the house for the People under the Stairs
ruined your jacket.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
No, it was a sticky wall. It was my friend
Dave's jacket. It was green suede.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Okay, I watched this movie. First of all, I did
not like this movie.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Did it have a sticky wall?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
No? Okay, no sticky wall at all. So what are
you talking about? I don't Is this another grandpa situation?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I don't know what the imagineers of Halloween Hornits and
Universal creatives.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, I don't know what they were doing back then.
But you did the you did the house. I did
the house.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
It is a hundred thousand years ago, and you like, literally,
the only thing I remember is sticky wall in my
friend's Jackie getting ruined.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
There's no sticky wall in that in that movie.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Doesn't matter if it was in the house it was.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
You're sure it was that house? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Absolutely, you have a friend that's not us Yeah, still yeah,
like we haven't talked in a while, so, but yes,
I would still consider him a friend.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
I was, you know, don't talk much. Do they consider
you a friend?

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Probably not? No, not many people consider me a friend.
Maybe an acquaintance, someone you're forced to work with a friend.
That's kind of stretching it. That's a guy that shoved
me to a wall jacket.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
That might be true. I don't know. I can't guarantee
one way or the other. So that year, so that
they had that house two years, okay, So there was
ninety two and ninety three. It was horror Nights at
the time, okay, and there was Are you sure it
wasn't the Dungeon of Terror House?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Uh, look, I'm gonna be honest. I don't. I don't.
I don't know which house it was.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Are you sure it was the Psychopath? Mays no, I'm not.
Are you sure it wasn't the Slaughterhouse?

Speaker 2 (03:10):
No, okay, I can't tell you which house it might
have been. We would have to find a Halloween Horror
Night's historian to tell us which house it was, Well,
you're supposed to be yet I was a teenager.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
You were there, and I don't remember.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
We were looking for girls and going through houses.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I know, Bruin's your jacket.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Yeah, yeah, we met some girls from Winterhaven that night
and uh never saw him again.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, but yeah, that movie not good. I did not
like that movie. No, not, no, not not at all.
That move was very weird.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I don't, I don't. I don't know if I ever.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
You don't remember it being scary at all.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Yeah, it just it's it is a very odd premise
with the gim suit and the shotgun.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
And it's like if there's that, and then it's also
about like bad landlords.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
But would you call it original? Would you call it
an originale? It is?

Speaker 1 (03:57):
It is one in original movie. So I will give
Wes Craven credit for that. All right, that was a
Wes Craven movie. That is a Wes Craven movie. I've
been slowly working through a bunch of West Craven movies. Okay,
just watched both of his The Hills Have Eyes Okay, good, Yeah,
first one, A good second one, not not stinky. That's
the way it goes.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Sometimes the reason why there wasn't a third.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
You may still be watching horror films, but I am.
We are into the holiday season, not spooky season now.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
But he's got like Silent Night, Deadly Night. He's got
a rare exports, which is black exmis.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yeah. I have watched all of them. Actually, I saw
one at the end. I saw the original at the enzin,
and then I filled in the cracks after that. Okay,
all right, Yeah, there's Silent Night, Deadly Night. There's like
six of those, I believe. Yeah, Better Watch Out, which
is a newer one.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah, yep, I saw that one. Yeah. But we we
always talk about this being one of the best times
of years go to theme parks, mostly because.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
The weather's great.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
We could talk that talk, but has anybody actually gone
to a theme park in the last fourteen to twenty
one days.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
I will be at a theme park in mere hours.
Oh good, good for fourteen hours from now. I have
a reservation for brunch in France at Epcot.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
That's we almost lost our certification as theme park experts.
So I'm glad you're in No, no, wait, like.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Oh, I'm sorry, my bank account differs.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
I'm just saying we have to go through a state training.
There's a certification every year, and you know if we
don't go.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Also, I just got a calendar in the mail for
being an annual pass holder at well Disney World.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Should go since you pay for it. Look, I had
a Disney pass I would be there every weekend.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
The stickers that came with that calendar are dope. If
you look at the lid of my laptop right now,
you will see I see one. There is a Spaceship Earth.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
I should have brought you, guys, the ones that I
got when we did the Run Disney thing, the Adavant
Health Disney stickers.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
I don't know if I've told you this enough. I
am so proud of you for running that I did
not run.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
That I did not run that.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Old hundreds of listeners that you ran in.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
No, no, no, I'm just I'm just a debt collector
for that race.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Most you were making me out to be a liar.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
iMedia you if you want to tell people I ran somewhere,
I mean, that's fine. Are you the heavy Yeah, I'm
in the back of the back of the line, that's
for sure.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
So you talked about you know, like the weather and everything.
So we talk about this Mickey's very merry Chris's party.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Yes, how's that thing you're doing?

Speaker 1 (06:29):
As of our recording right now, there are only three
nights that are available.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Wow, that's wild that this thing sells.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Out December fourteenth, sixteenth, and eighteenth.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
That's probably why they like added in like Jollywood nights
at Hollywood Studios, just because you got to. You got
to give them something else, something else.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yeah, Yeah, I got a friend that's going to that too,
which I'm jealous. A girl I work with you could go,
I mean, somebody that's forced to work with me. You
could go to Jollywood Knights.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
You can go to either of them.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
It's a it's not cheap, I know.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
But that's the thing. You don't have to You could
just buy a ticket.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
That's that's how society works. To Herman, you you give
them money in exchange. Yeah, but I want an annual pass.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Well you again, that's an exchange. You have to spend
money to be able to get said thing.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Yes, Tillywood Knights is going to be infinitely more or
less expensive than.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
An annual pass.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Yeah, yes, I agree, But it's only one night and
it's only like four hours lower capacity. I know, I know,
and I think you get a lot of desserts.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
We run through their desserts, but you don't get him
for free. You gotta buy them. Of course, you have
to buy them again. It's a exchange of good.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Because the ones at Magic Kingdom often had like free
stuff like sugar cookies and a hot cocoa right.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Yes, correct, yeah, but they also have a bunch of
other items that we ran through that you really liked.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Yes, I did. I did like all the items. It
was all chicken nuggets. Well, I'd be going, I'd be like, well,
I already spent one hundred bucks in this ticket. I
must spend any more on this food, and I'm gonna
be like running around like crazy because I only got
four hours. I want to do everything, and I probably
won't have time to enjoy it all because I'm just
trying to get everywhere.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
You just eat on the on the run. I trust
you to be able to do that. But we talked
about an exchanging of goods. I don't know if you
guys have seen what is going on with the Warner
Brothers Discovery Company.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
No, what who are they? Who's somebody buying them? I
heard it was like paramount, and then I heard it
was gonna be Comcast, and.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
So you so Comcast is like one of these potential suitors, right,
and it really got a lot of people thinking about
what this could mean for theme parks.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Yeah, well Comcast is NBC, Universal, Universal, Orlandos. So if
they bought Warner Brothers, that's DC. Right, Well that's DC,
that's Harry Potter. Okay, so they already got the Harry
Potter cook connect.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I know, but now you just you could do even more.
Maybe that idea that you keep giving away for free.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
The uh which one is the one at the Harry
Potter Hotel where you can stay. I've been wanting that forever.
I don't understand how they haven't done that. Imagine if
they did that and then like it was a runaway
success and they turned around and said, Disney, this is
how you should have done the Star Wars hotel.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
This is how it should have gone.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
I mean, they have a building they can use.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Yeah, but it's just like, you know, you look at
the options that are that are out there. You talked
about a paramount. You know, Netflix gets bandied about, which
I worry about that because one of those companies puts
movies in theaters. One of them is not believe in
movie theaters at all.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
True, But like, yeah, if you're talking like Warner Brothers,
you've got all the HBO projects, you can technically to
a Game of Thrones, maybe Sopranos Island Island probably not
going to do a theme park based on the old
prison show OZ, but you.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Have like Hanna Barbara d See like all of these
things like that, you could really like sink your teeth into.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
What it was Dexter on Showtime show. Yeah, so that's paramount.
You're not gonna get it. I think you're gonna have
Dexter Island either, although you kind.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Of live in it. We live in Florida. I saw
a lot of Dexter related artwork at Spooky IMPI.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Dexter's having like this crazy resurgence. Well it's got the
show out, Yeah, but like it like when they oftentimes
when they put a show back out, people are like, oh,
this sucks, I shouldn't have done it again, but they
like this one.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Well, aren't there like seventeen spinoff shows as well?

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Now, well, they did the Young Dexter and it was
really good and it got you know, well received and
they can't.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
I don't know why, but you know, I mean like
it's just like imagine like this would probably mean hypothetically
if this happened, Marvel's Superhero Island gone. Yeah, as it
currently exists, it would just I can't imagine that that
would stick around if you have the ability to granted,

(11:03):
their lawyers involved with the whole six Flags having the rights.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Yeah, but say what you want about like you know,
Marvel and d C.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
D C has some of the biggest.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Like they have the Holy they have the Trinity, the
Holy Trinity, Yeah, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Correct, Yeah, that is the Holy Trinity of superheroes or
in Jimmy's eyes, crypto Crypto Crypto no lies or to
take exactly yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
So I mean, yeah, you did say like six Flags,
but six Flugs can't do it like Universal could do it.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
No, but it but it's just like that is the
only sticking point. You know. I'm kind of you know,
the consolidation of uh, you know, movie studios really very
much worries me and the future of what that would mean.
I don't like it at all.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Scott, When does the next Crypto movie come out? Uh?

Speaker 1 (11:51):
The next Crypto movie is in the summer, this summer
or the upcoming summer. Jesus, is that Supergirl or another
SuperM that is Supergirl? Okay, yeah, we are getting next year,
we are getting two DC movies. We're getting Supergirl, and
then we will be getting Clayface. Clayface, yes, the Batman villain. Okay,
all right, and then I think believe the year after

(12:13):
that is when we get a Superman Man of Tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Now, what if it goes the paramount way? What if
it what if it tips that way?

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Oh? Sorry forgot I've read. They also have Lord of
the Rings. Oh yeah, the Godzilla Monster Verse.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Barbie, oh, Barbie Cheese. That'd be a big one too.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Ysh.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
They got a lot of ip's over there.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
They don't have a conjuring Also, just think about this
from a horror movies howan Horrnet's standpoint, the conjuring.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
M Yeah, all of those movies. Yeah, there's probably all
the Annabelle everything, Blade Runner, they got Blade Runner, Yeah, Dune, Dune,
Dune's there's too.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Dune, Beetlejuice Baby, bring back the the Beatles Juice Show
one of your favorite franchises. Under siege with Steven Sigall.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Yeah, yeah, I don't think they're going to do a
theme park based on anything Steven about this the matrix.
I mean maybe that's possible. Uh, there's a lot of
ways Billy oh Willy Wonka would be. That's like made
for it. That crazy.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
They kind of already have the restaurant.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
That's true. That that that chocolate place.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Yeah, but also Minecraft, oh Minecraft, the kids like that.
I mean, that's that's a movie that they released. They
don't own, like the property.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
They don't own the property. But maybe there's some sort
of business there are.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Right if they want to do a Jack Black version
of like some kind of Minecraft.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Attraction, ye inception, I don't.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
I don't think it'd come off.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
I mean we would go.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
I don't know that like it'd be a mass of
popular situation. Interstellar roller coaster, I mean, sign me up,
I'm in.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
That is weirdly a paramount movie in a way.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Well, Brothers has a ton of options. Yes, they have
this paramount outside of like like say the Taylor Sheridan
whole Land of Westerns and such. He already has his
own I'm just saying if he had his uh, oh
my god, Island. You guys are missing the biggest thing
that they could do there. It is knew it because

(14:19):
this guy loves West World over here.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
They don't really do it. They jet us into that.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
But the theme park would be great. Yeah, the show done,
but the theme park would be great.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
But remember they sold it, they would.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
They gave up on it. Well, the first season was
good and then they tanked the dang thing. I loved it,
and they tanked it.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
I thought the whole series was great, and I was
so disappointed that I didn't get my final season to
tie it all up.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Yeah, it ended up on like to B, which I
love to be. It's my favorite. Streaming are free. It's free.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
It's all very free. It's it's awesome. You just gotta
watch some commercials.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
I pay for every streaming service and the one that
I used the most.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
To be Yeah. Yeah, but Paramount, like, did they have
other things? Okay, Jimmy mentioned Dexter.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
No, no, no, no, no no that if Paramount buys Wonder
Brothers are just nothing for theme parks. Oh okay, your
Paramount doesn't have a theme.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Park, you're right, okay, yeah, okay, yeah, well yeah, okay, yeah, yeah,
I get you, I get you. Wait, oh because Paramount's yeah,
I understand. So yeah, we're we're looking for NBC to
make this purchase or not NBC. Comcast, yes, Comcast to
merger with Warner Brothers.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
I mean, ideally we don't want that, but it seems
like it is going to happen.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
As people that worked in radio, when we saw many
a merger and many a station brought under a single umbrella,
it's never good. It never gets better, it only gets worse.
Big companies don't know what they're doing. I don't know
how they got big.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
I mean, the thing is, it's different when it's at
least this time. It would not be a tech company ideally,
or like a telecom company. Sure you know where a
well bought them or what bought us?

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Was it one of those conglomerate it's what do they
called adventure capital? Adventure capitalis yeah, maybe they buy it
and then they stripped the bones down and they what
Richard Gears character did in A Pretty Woman. Yeah, So
so that that we don't want. We don't we don't
want that.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Well, final destination, final destination house.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
That'd be great. Not sure how you'd pull that one off.
A lot of death happening.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
The hangover a hangover house.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
I don't think that would it goes.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
The house is just you have to watch the third one.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
I'm surprised they don't have like at least some sort
of attraction in Vegas though for the hangover like something.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
Well, I mean, they just tipped their dough in with
the Halloween Horonites unleashed the year round attraction, that's true.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Has anybody been to that? Is that opened yet?

Speaker 1 (16:39):
It opened in August?

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Has anybody have we seen reviews?

Speaker 1 (16:44):
The views are out there good.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
One of the people like it not so great.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
It's a thing that you can go do.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Okay, well, it's the thing in Vegas.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Correct. Yeah, yeah, but I think it's been a lot
of people that have gone cold Horrorites so high and
it's a different experience. It's just a year round experience.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
And it's just a single house.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
No, there's like a three or four. I know there's
a Texas chainsaw.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
Okay, all right, what about the Chicago location? Has that
opened to No?

Speaker 1 (17:07):
They haven't even I don't even know if they've really
started work on that.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Well, they have started working on the building that much,
I know, and They were supposed to have it ready
for Halloween this year, but in July they had just started.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Yeah, no, that is a next year plan.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
They're going to do one in Chicago too.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yeah, they have like a historic building that they're renovating.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Interesting, We talked about that.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
When we sent a picture of where they're to us. Okay,
I mean I believe you speaking of Universal though. Yes,
they have filed permit for a massive expansion at Epic
Universe already.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
We just got done building it. I know where are
we gonna expand to? What's going to expand?

Speaker 1 (17:47):
One hundred and fifty thousand square feet?

Speaker 2 (17:52):
That's like a bathroom.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
One hundred and fifty thousand Oh, I.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Think you said one hundred and fifty sto. I don't
know how much that is in uh massive space?

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Massive? Okay, how many hectors is it?

Speaker 3 (18:04):
It's uh, it's one hundred two bedroom apartments.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Bick okay, all right, yeah, all right. So what do
we think is going there? Everyone has wild speculation of
because it depends on where it's going.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Oh, isn't it Luigi's mansion?

Speaker 1 (18:21):
That's what I'm well, that's what I'm leaning towards. That's
what I would love it to be, especially because there's
going to be a new Super Mario Brothers moving next year.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
It's not going to be done by then, but I
thought they already announced, like the Luigi's Mansion was coming
to not officially. It's just a lot of speculation.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
So there's been that Wicked is massive. It could be
in oz An Emerald City, Yeah, because they just updated
a lot of the Wicked stuff inside of Universal Orlando.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
Yeah, and if they if the deal goes to they
could just do Emerald City and oz from oz from
HBO series.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
No please, No, what a combo? I love a mashup.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
It could be, it could be, you know. There was
always talk of a augmented Reality VR broomstick ride or
Harry Potter another one, a new broomstick that that land
is screaming for another attraction.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
It could it could be. It could be anything. There
was also a talk of a creature from the Black Ragoon.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
Uh yes, Jimmy love that Luie's Mansion sounds pretty good though, Yeah,
like that thing. That thing is like one of those
timeless games too, like like some ips you worry about,
like getting stale or people losing interest in like Supermaro
that just doesn't happen.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
No, there's another movie. There's another movie coming out next
to the trailer just drop.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
And just the game itself. I mean since a long
with when I was a little kid. It's been popular
ever since. It never weighed down.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Scott, You're gonna have to look up something for me.
And I'm very curious about this. Back in the day,
they were supposed to be an expansion to Volcano Bay,
and you're gonna be like where, like when you're driving
past h Volcano Bay, you can see that there's like
a little backstage area, like a triangle that was supposed
to be developed into an expansion of the park. This

(20:08):
is all prior to COVID, So I'm wondering did they
scrap those plans?

Speaker 1 (20:12):
So other permits have been filed, okay, And you have
to remember that Volcano Bay will be closed for about
six months next.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Year, okay, so they could do work at that time.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
They could absolutely, they could put a slide in, they
could put a new something in, they could throw a
slide up there. If there's one thing we have learned
about Universal Orlando over the last few years is if
they have like five feet by five feet. Yeah, they
can fit a roller coaster or a slide or some
kind of ride.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Just sag it up high.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Remember they barely got rid of anything for Velocit Coaster.
Yeah that's true.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
I swear to god.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
It feels like they're playing in real life Sims the
way they build things.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Yeah, it's it's it's it's roller coaster Tycoon.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Yeah, it's them. And SeaWorld too, Like every time you
turn around, sea World's, hey, we put a new coast up,
Like wait, wait, wait when wait get that?

Speaker 1 (21:03):
How'd that happen? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Where did you put that?

Speaker 1 (21:05):
Yeah? We found some room. So that's a fun thing
to watch. Other bits of news you talk about annual passes,
Disney announced a special two hundred and fiftieth anniversary Celebrate
America four hundred and ninety nine dollars annual pass for
military families.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Son of a God, I should have joined the military.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
So eligible service members can enjoy a six day park
Hopper ticket for four hundred and forty nine dollars.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
I want an annual pass for four forty nine. Howbout that?

Speaker 1 (21:35):
How about we Uh, that's just for a ticket, but
all the annual pass is five hundred dollars for all
of twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Wow, does it count veterans?

Speaker 1 (21:46):
Well, what's eligible US service members and their families?

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Okay, we'll look into that. I know, I know plenty
of veterans. I'll just have to take me to the park.
Jesus in stolen bellor. I was just buying me a ticket.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
Lastly, while Disney World has expanded airport luggage transfer full
four full round trip service.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
Oh so you don't have to grab your luggage, They'll
take it to your room for you.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Guys, I think they're just going to bring back the
Magical Express.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
This is just it's like a slow roll back.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
I mean, this is basically what it is.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Yeah, I mean, look, they started charging for parking, then
they gave up on that. They took away Magic Express.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Maybe it comes back, I bring back the Magic Hasn't
the minivan come back after it was like abolished?

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Oh yeah, the minivans running strong out there. Yeah, they're
run strong out there for sure. People they will jump
on that thing and they don't care what it costs.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
No, absolutely not. When you're tired at the end of
the day and you see the weight, Yeah, you see
the way you see the monorail, you see the boat,
and then you see a minivan. You're like, I'm getting
in there. Exactly.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
It's like how much rite how much is it?

Speaker 1 (22:48):
I don't want to look no, But.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
In that moment, you're like, this is the best money
I've ever spent. Exactly, that's true. And they'll look back
and still say that was still the best money I've
ever spent. I'm so glad we did that.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
When you're sitting it's the best money you've you've spent.
When you're sitting in a vehicle, yes, it is the
best money.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
You've You've got climate controlled vehicle that is going to
take you directly to your hotel.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
They will drop you off in front of your hotel room.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
They will.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
They will if you ask, they will there.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
No, honestly, if you're staying at like Porta Roleans, they could. Yeah,
that's true.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Uh, Scott.

Speaker 2 (23:20):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
