Speaker 1 (00:02):
From the theme park Capital of the World, Orlando, Florida.
This is the Theme Park Podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Wait podcast?

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Is this all radio?

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Why does everything gotta be so messy on this station?

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Anyway?

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Here's your hosts Dickerman, Jimmy D and Scott Harris.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
Happy Epic Universe Day and welcome to the Theme Park Podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
I am Dickerman, there is Jimmy D.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
What's going on Fallas and the one of us that
has been to Epic Universe himself, mister Scott Harris. Greetings travelers,
hell else Today the official day of the opening. We
record this podcast on Thursday, the twenty second of May,
and today is the official opening of the park.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Check out his shirt. He's taking off his jacket. What
have we got here?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
It's a change. It's chain Jump from for Mario Beautiful.

Speaker 5 (00:55):
You know, it's funny. At Universal in Japan, everything's written
in English.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
They're all like, this is so cool. It's in English,
and we're like, oh, this is so cool.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
I like that.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Do you know what it says?

Speaker 1 (01:08):
No, I have no idea what it says. I'm assuming
it says like chain shomp because because there was one
shirt that had bowser junior and it said junior like
written in English. Okay, so I think it's like, whatever
character it is.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
You're gonna analyze it. Yeah, I got an app for this.
Your scots stand up real quick. There you go. We're
gonna hold your shirt straight, don't fall down. Oh yeah,
it won't break a hip like us. But it says
shin wan. No, that can't be right.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
It says she, I'm in a room. Universes bought a
bunch of them from she and they were two bucks each.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Hold on, I got it. There's another way to do this,
but I just got to take the picture.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Now.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
That's literally what it said. But the translation app I
have isn't great. And I defended a lot of people
in the There was a number of people in Japan deeply,
what are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Because your translation have didn't work well. You said the
wrong words.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
How dare you say the wrong words?

Speaker 5 (02:13):
It works pretty good. It worked well enough to like
order sushi Jimmy. But the shirt isn't The shirt isn't
the big reveal. The big reveal is on the man's wrists.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
What's going on?

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Guys? I know what's up?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
What's now?

Speaker 3 (02:28):
I see his toad power up Band.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
That is the power band power up Band from Super
Nintendo World. And he's got this is so what is this.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Thing doing in the parks?

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Now?

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Is what happens with that?

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Whatever you want it to do.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
This is the magic wand for Nintendo Land. Look at
that nice packaging.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
I know, I love I have.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Inside there's a map of of all the stuff you
can do with it inside of Super Nintendo Land.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Oh, it's got Japanese written on the back. Let's see
what it says. Let's try this nap again. Less this
is any better? It says, is just the hot product.
Target age is three years old or old.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I mean it's one. It's it's one of them. I
mean for that land, it's the big, big thing.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
You've been there twice. Did you see a lot of
people wearing them?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
I regret not doing as much with it when I
went the second time, because it was the first thing
that I bought when I went the second time.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
If you bring children, you're guaranteed to have to buy
that or there will be probably eat of them. Yes, yes,
fits will be thrown. Your day will be ruined. All
that money you spent to go to the park, just
planning what are they run? They run that, and I
thought that was spanned for a second.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Oh there we go, I got I got nine out
of two hundred things.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Oh wow, look at you. You've got a little ways
to go.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Still, yes, I do. Well, there's a like as a
on the map. There's all about. You could just punch
bricks and if you have the power up band, it'll
make the right noise. Okay, all right, like the one
up noise. But if you don't it, you can still
do it. It's still fun.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
Yeah, but it'll just it's like when you're a little
Mario without the mushrooms.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Yeah, no, you want to be the big Mario.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
But if you collect three keys then you could do
Bowser Junior Bowser Junior's challenge.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Oh yeah, okay, So if I'm a parent bringing my
child there, how much extra am I going to have
to plan on for the band? This was forty five
dollars all things considered. I mean, how much how much
do you pay for parking? If you're like a regular person,
it's like thirty bucks.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
Right, twenty six dollars I believe, okay, all right, yes,
I mean you know another thing in universal Japan. They
don't really call refer to him as Bowser. They always
refer to him as King Koopa.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Okay, I could see that. I think he has like
dual names.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Yeah, he's got a couple of names.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Interesting. So today was the grand opening.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah, the media celebration was yesterday. I don't know if
you watch any of these. Oh my guys, the fireworks
were huge. Well, the live feed was very interesting to watch.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
Yeah, oh yeah, the CEO is this a story you're
going to tell you?

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Well, I was you gonna say they had influencers as
like the host of it, And it's like, why wouldn't
you It's NBC, why wouldn't you just have like your
actual employees like hosting this.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
Well, one of the guys asked the CEO of Universal
Studios Orlando, which house are you in? And he said
Hippogriff House Hippogriff And apparently he got roasted in like
all the chats. Yeah, that's I mean, you should know
what how the four Harry Potter houses if you're the

(05:44):
CEO of a Harry Potter Land.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Well, especially because if you go to France, it's uh
Paris inside of epic universe. It's where bulbotone is and
that's a different school and that's not Hogwarts.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
So oh, do they have house hippogriff.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Well, there there's hippoc No, there's flight of the Hippoger.
There's no, no. The hippogriff is.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Not like huffle Puff. He meant huff He meant huffle puff. Yeah,
and Gryffindor or Gryffindor. Yeah, I guess he could. Yeah,
he just he got confused. It was he was on
the It was on the You know what, sometimes you
get it put under pressure and you gotta think real
quick on your toes, and you know you can't answer wrong,
and that means you definitely answer wrong.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
It's thirty two dollars to park.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Okay, yeah, so I mean for an extra, you know.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
And if you pay a little bit, you paid.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Ten dollars more, you can get a band.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
And if you pay double you can park under covering.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Oh oh really yeah covering.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah, okay, parking. That is not a garage. It is
a lot. As I sent you in the picture.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
Yeah, yeah, I saw the I saw the solar panels
that they're using for the premium parking. And you said
it was double, so it's seventy bucks.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
I wanted it might be a little bit less than that.
All I know is when I went on Monday, they
were like, do you want to pay? I think it
was like twenty six dollars to I think that's the
difference of my pass with premium, and.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
You said, absolutely not, I'm buying power bands with that money.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Considered it though, Power Up Bands considered it because it
was very hot.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
It is so odd.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
It was like ninety degrees.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
It's brutal, it is.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Yeah, And I didn't get there. It opened at nine.
I didn't get there till noon.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
I don't I don't understand why theme parks love the
summer so much. I mean, school, the school's out. Yes,
it's just so brutal here. I mean we live here
and we know it. But you know, people that come here,
they're like, all right, we're gonna do it, and they
get here and they're like, oh.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
My god, what have I done.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
I mean, here's the thing though, I mean right now,
it's a reduced capacity. I sent you guys wait times.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Yeah, so those were crazy.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
So today, like it was technically, as you told us,
sold out, yes, but it was twenty minute weights on stuff.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Everyone was in line for Ministry and Magic because they
have dropped the virtual queue system for that. It was
a three hundred minute weight.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
That was three hundred minutes, but everything else was virtually walk.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
On twenty five. What thing was the most for anything?

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Yeah? So just you know what, when I was there,
on me would be great. He doesn't.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
He doesn't care about Harry Potter, even though he's got
a robe and a wand he would just skip.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Didn't anything else backscratcher a robe.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
When I went on Monday, it was a two and
a half hour wait, and my buddy was like, it
might not get lower than this. Go for it.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
So I did.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
I got a butter beer outside and that I got
in the line, and about an hour into it, the
ride broke down and I'm like, I'm going to give
this about ten more minutes. If not, I'm gonna get
out of here. I'm a is precious exactly, and there's
still a whole bunch of stuff I hadn't done yet.
And then I got out of line and the ride

(08:35):
never reopened that day. Oh wow, smart, it's it's they're
still working through some stuff with that ride. Yeah, yeah,
it's a very advanced ride.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
I don't know if you guys remember, but when Islands
of Adventure first opened, they could not keep Spider Man open, Yeah,
because it just kept breaking down.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Well, that's not not too different. Was over a Galaxy's Edge?
Is it a resistance?

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Is still having issues? Really?

Speaker 1 (09:02):
Yeah, it's in B mode a lot.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
Yeah, because like the last time I went on it,
we immediately we got we circumventded that first part and
went right onto the the star Destroyers.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yeah, there's it's been like Kylo at the end A
lot of times has been in the ship, which is
like the bat or the cannons don't move like when
you're weaving through that.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
I mean there's a lot of moving parts for that ride,
and I imagine even probably even more for this new
Harry Potter ride.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Yeah. When I I did Monsters unchained twice when I
was because it was ten minutes.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Wow, it's nice.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
And the second time I did single Rider because like
I do I know the queue for this ride now
I can just do that. I was the only person
in my vehicle and some of the animatronics were working.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Is that what they mean by single rider?

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Now?

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Ride by yourself so.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
These days you told me this earlier, they're technically sold out.
And I say that with quotes because they're are some
tickets that can be purchased.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
If you like the park, pay attention to social media
and stuff. They might release tickets throughout the day.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
You could just wait outside and just like maybe possibly
here's an opportunity to go and boom, go in. Yeah,
there are people that bought tickets today, Okay to go
later on in the day. Yeah, okay, all right, so
that's it's a thing. But you've got to do it
in the park is the word, right?

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Yeah? In the park.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
So you're definitely, you know, spending that money to park.
So you want to know that.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
I mean, if you have a path, if you have
an annual path, you have an annual pass. Yeah, And
the question now is when are they going to put
a pass together?

Speaker 3 (10:39):
Oh, it'll be a year, I think.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Well, I mean it's only sold out for the next
like three weeks after that. You know, if you know,
maybe sales aren't doing is what they expected?

Speaker 4 (10:51):
When do you think they're going to increase the capacity,
So like the capacity have sold out? Say that I
don't know what a number is A realistic number is,
say the capacity for sold out.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Of ten thousand, I don't know what.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
I think it's about fifteen, okay, fifteen now like the minute,
like the lower capacity.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
Yeah, so whatever the lower.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Well, I don't know what the I don't know what
the full capacity is. I believe right now they're operating
like sixteen seventeen.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
I think when I was there on Monday, it was
about that okay, And I was able to I think
I did the Donkey Kong ride and it was a
listed forty five minutes and there's a funny story related
to that.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
It was your first time doing that one.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
It was the first time doing that one.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
You need to hear that.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
And got on the ride forty minutes into that weight
literally in the seat, ride breaks down, they have to
take us off the ride. We wait and child swap
for about ten minutes, then back on. So it was
like an hour altogether.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
Okay, So, how how was Donkey Kong because that is
one of the ones we've been interested.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
It's a lot of fun. It is a kid's ride
with there's a lot going on in this kid's ride.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Well, Jimmy, is this is this one? You will arrive
Jimmy to you know, is this a roller coaster or
is this not a roller It is.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
A roller coaster, yes, okay, it might be one of
the And again I know they're working. It was very rough,
oh really, And I don't know if I mean it's
Donkey khon, but I.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Don't know if it barrels instead.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
I don't know if it's intentionally rough, if you know
what I mean, like because it's like I don't know
if it's trying to act like it's a wooden roller coaster,
but it's not. Okay, And but I will say the
scene where you go through the barrel where it like
launches you like in the game was really cool.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
You a lot of good vantage points on that ride.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Okay, Yeah, I'm interested.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
I actually haven't seen a ton about Epic Universe because
I kind of want to see it in person, Like
I see a picture here, a picture there, but I
want to see it, like I want to take it
all in in person at some point.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
That's what I would if you can wait to do
it that way, I would absolutely do it that way. Yeah,
Like I don't want to tell you guys everything about
like Monsters unchained which I think is my favorite ride,
but because it's an amazing experience. I mean, the queue
for I was able, they were able to, like you
walk into the Q four Ministry of Magic. Okay, so

(13:04):
you just see it and it was awe inspiring, just
the queue itself. There's pictures on our social media if
you want to check it out.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
I don't know that I want to. I don't know
that I want to. I want to.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
I want to see it in personal take it in,
like Jimmy is with movies a lot of times.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
So, Scott, you've been on the Harry Potter ride that
is similar to the.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Monster's Unchained Yes Forbiden Journey.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
How do you compare the two less screens, more animatronics. Okay,
it's the it's it's the it's the next gen version
of that ride of that ride mechanism.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Okay, but is it like more thrilling than.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
Um It's kind of like Van Helsing the ride the
Hugh Jacksman Hugh Jackman movie.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
I think you're misunderstanding. When I'm asking somebody who's a
wimp like me, who is not a fan, I.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Will say this. I when I went the first time
I had, I took damine and ginger gum. I have
seen the praise of this. When I went back on Monday,
I had not taken either of them.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
And how'd you do?

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Perfectly fine?

Speaker 3 (14:08):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Yeah, because that is I that is a big concern
for me. As I've gotten older, I have become much
more motion sick on various things, and the broom one
always gets me.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
No. No rides at EPIC has made me sick, and
I've not heard anyone that deals with it like I
do has said that they have felt sick after riding them.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
They spray water in your face.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
There is a scene where you do get a little
bit like a little.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
Yeah, because that was the one thing that really aggravated me.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
But that Harry Potter ride had went on.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
Get a face shield, yeah, I get it, like the
one that people used to wear during COVID, the plastic one.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
Just wear that on the ride. Oh like Donald Sterling's girlfriend.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
You Vistaviani.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Wear that on the thing?

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Hey.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Pro tip for the listeners, where do you get your
ginger gum? Because I've seen ginger shoes. Okay.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
The thing is I saw it at a CVS for Walgreens.
It was a third of the praise on Amazon. Okay,
there you go, there you go, highly recommend it.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
Yeah, I've got the gingins, which you can get like
a Walmart. But they do have a unique flavor to them.
So I don't know if everybody's gonna like it.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
My wife hated them, and I will say I know
I sung its praises last last time we talked about it.
But Stardust is very quickly. Everybody says it's rising up
the ranks. It's I mean, it's comparable to Velosa Coaster, right,
it's it's the child of Velosa Coaster and Dueling Dragons.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
Now, Scott, I'm hearing it that in Celestial Park they're
selling Zelda merchandise.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
Now in in Super Nintendo World, there is Zelda merchandise
being sold. And the question is is this a misdirect
or is this foreshadowing? Yes on future plans. That was
where I was going, Well, is it going to be
in this park or is it going to be an
islands or universal it because there's already cones for something

(16:01):
right next to Super Nintendo World. M gotta start planning
things now.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
I mean, Zelda, Zelda's been the talk.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
I mean, if you Look, if you're in the store,
you look up, there is a stained glass of Zelda
link in Gannendorf.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
Yeah, yeah, it seems it seems like it's, you know,
a no brainers.

Speaker 5 (16:20):
Yeah, for coming foregone conclusion. But the question is does
it go where Poseidon's Fury used to sit.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
You know what's funny, it's just.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
The rumor that we've been hearing for like a decade. Now.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
Well, the funny thing is they're now selling how to
Train Your Dragon merch over there.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Oh okay, I.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Mean it makes sense they allow on it.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
They like to keep you confused. They do like to
keep you guessing at Universe.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Well, the biggest news, I should say, the cut through
its city walk is back. Oh really because the Nintendo
store is now open. Oh so you can cut through again, yep,
just like you used to go through Quiet Flight.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Yeah, to get to Universal Studios. They would always give
you a nasty like a Quiet Flight. They knew you
were cutting through.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Here's the thing, I wanted some americanditioning. So when I
went yesterday, that's what I did.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Cut through.

Speaker 5 (17:04):
I want to cut through just I want to poke
around at the stuff they got.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
They it's a limited amount of merch that they have over.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
There is the Zelda stuff in that story, No, not
that I saw. Okay.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
I would pretend to look at stuff at Quiet Flight
sometimes just because I felt bad.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
This now which like strictly just Epic. It's like Nintendo
merches in there.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
But so I went to I ate, I actually ate food.
While I was at Epic, I went to Pizza Moon
aka the Splashing Pumpkins album cover album cover album cover
Come to Life. Yeah, it's the Melancholy Dreams.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
Yeah, and it had Dickerman's favorite yespiration.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
I don't like the Moon for some reason. I don't
like moon faces, do you.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
I this is a mobile ordering thing, so you order
your pizza on the phone. The pizzasimeal uh No, the
pizzas are for two.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
I wish I would have paid attention to that when
I ordered it.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Because you got too much pizza.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Yeah, I mean. And then when I talk about what
as a challenge, well, let me get into it. So
I ordered a trip to Vesuvio, which they cheese pizza
with pepperoni, sausage, roasted peppers, caramelized onions, cherry peppers collaborate,
and chili arugulad, hot honey.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
Hell, oh, hot honey is so good.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
I love all of these ingredients. Ten minutes into me
eating it, I get an alert on my phone that
Donkey Kong is down to a forty five minute weight.
Oh so I'm having to scarf this down, punishing myself
with this spicy pizza because I want for two for two. Yeah.
At one point, I'm like, I'm just gonna stack these.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Cheese slices, right.

Speaker 5 (18:50):
And if you've never seen Scott in person, a stiff
breeze will send him like six hundred yards.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
It's a WAF model. He's a wafe model.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
He's muscles, muscles, but he he's a he's slight.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
But I very quickly because there is other stuff I
want to talk about over. I finally did the rides
over two of the rides over and how to train
your dragon. There is the Dragon Racers Rally, which you
can you're kind of sitting in a contraption with wings
and you can make yourself do barrel rolls on it
while it's like tilting around. I was only able to

(19:24):
get it to tilt a little bit. I want to
go back and try a lot more because there's other
people that are just doing like spins and tricks, and
then there's hiccups wing gliders, which is I thought it
was going to be like a Flight of the Hippogriff
kind of roller coaster. It's got some launches on it,
but has an amazing toothless animatronic. Oh it's not the

(19:44):
Boston one though, He's no, this is all yeah, this
is a different one.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
Who has that? Who's the keeper of that Boston Dynamics
guy at the show? I don't know. I want somebody's
got a great job. I want that job. Do you
think he has to take it home with him?

Speaker 1 (19:59):
I know, I think it's a they're lock and key.
I will say they have a lot. I got a
picture with Mario and Luigi. Okay, they talk, Oh no,
really freaked me out a little bit. Okay, But they
also now have Donkey Kong as a meet and a meet,
and Greek character Princess Peach in toad over in in
Dark Moore. Uh, the Igor walks around and Invisible Man

(20:20):
walked around, and then there's Brider, Frankenstein and Frankenstein. You
could also get pictures all.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
Of them nice so that you get you got to
experience all these things. That was on Monday. Park officially
open today. If you can get tickets, you can go.
It is considered sold out, but if you go in the.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Just like look at I will say I did all
of that in six hours.

Speaker 5 (20:40):
When you say pay attention to social media, what do
you mean exactly?

Speaker 1 (20:45):
No, I did not see it on an official thing.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
Oh so somebody's like, hey, they are selling takes.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
It's one of those kind of things.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
Get down here. Yeah, so you got to be in
like one of the Facebook groups possible.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
I saw it on Twitter, but yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
You gotta be like me and Jimmy that time we
tried to get the Magic fans the the vaccine. When
they came out and we're just waiting, they're like, you
got new extras.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
So that was And then I went back to Universal
yesterday because it's Jaw Summer. It's fifteen fiftieth anniversary of Jaws.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
Yeah, and I said, they got like a big mural
up and the whole store for it.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Well, they have their there's stores that are selling merch,
but they also have the front half of the ride vehicle.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
And you can total and you take a picture in
front of the backdrop to make it look like you're
still on the ride.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
It does not have the grenade launcher, but a at
least you can control the throttle and steering of the boat.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
And there's pressed pennies for it now too. I love
they can just churn one of those out like no problem.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Yeah, they're holding limited ticks for walk up guests each day,
is what I'm seeing in the chat.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
Okay, so that's that's the word is. So if you
get there in the morning, you could probably grab a ticket.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
Yeah too, So tell me more about this hot Shark summer.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
So it's the fiftieth anniversary of Jaws right now. So
there's a whole bunch of stores that are selling Jaws
merch over by Bruce. There is Shay Alcatraz, which has
a special drink now another news actual drink, And there's
little food stands that they're going to be opening later
on in the summer. One is like a Quint's something.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
Oh so probably seafood so dicker one.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
Well, there's a couple No, there's a couple of stands
though that are that are that are ready. So I'm
guessing that's gonna be like the Summer Tribute store because
the movie, The Summer Movie Mega Movie Parade is returning.

Speaker 4 (22:19):
Okay, all right, yeah, so yeah, Jimmy's a big Johns fans,
as am I.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
So it's why I want It's why I literally sent
it to you guys, like immediately when I got there.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
Get the Jaws merch. All right, well, we got about
a minute left. Is there anything we miss outside of
Universal over.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
At Disney the Villain Show over by just like, hey,
we still exist over here is beginning. You can meet
uh Finney's in Fur beginning June first, and we're slowly approaching.
We got two weeks left of Muffet Vision to be
three d oh yeah, which they has been recorded for preservation,
which leads me to think it'll be going on Disney.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
Plus oh the actual like yes, yeah, the event, yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
And this is the final run for Ripride Rocket at
the Universe.

Speaker 4 (23:02):
We don't know when that's closing, but they are doing
like a T shirt and everything like farewell last concert.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Yeah, it's the last concert.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
Talk about like ringing out every dollar from that.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
Yeah, I mean, peoples, as problematic as that ride was
for them, people do love that ride.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
By the way, can we bookmark a topic for a
future show. Yes, I know. We used to do this
in the early days, where we would devote an entire
segment to a ride.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Oh, yeah, we did do that. I forgot about that.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
I rode ET yesterday. Oh I have a lot of
thoughts that could fill a show about Et.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
All right. Well, is that why you got the new
plate on your car?

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Yes, exactly. Yeah, I told you I got a new
car and I got a new license plate.

Speaker 3 (23:45):

Boysober

Have you ever wondered what life might be like if you stopped worrying about being wanted, and focused on understanding what you actually want? That was the question Hope Woodard asked herself after a string of situationships inspired her to take a break from sex and dating. She went "boysober," a personal concept that sparked a global movement among women looking to prioritize themselves over men. Now, Hope is looking to expand the ways we explore our relationship to relationships. Taking a bold, unfiltered look into modern love, romance, and self-discovery, Boysober will dive into messy stories about dating, sex, love, friendship, and breaking generational patterns—all with humor, vulnerability, and a fresh perspective.
