Oh yeah, he had his podcastlast week week before said Harry Cross
will be the next next stack.Look at you lighten up the competition.
Look at you light lighting up theuh, you know, directing people the
other podcasts. Eric's in front ofthe show too, any other podcast that
(02:46):
we should put over. It's EricBischoff's eighty three weeks podcast. He clearly
needs to help. Yeah, god, damn you. Frank Frank screw week,
Frank Franksman drinking the boons at hometoo? Yes, congratulations, Yeah,
(03:07):
I listen. I got an emailfrom Della Franks. I don't email
you. Huh. Yeah, yeah, she sent me an email. She's
she's worried the text messaging thing. He brought he brought them. Yeah,
he brought the buttons home from Aruba. People trying to try to bring Booze
(03:30):
back into the country because right right, Barack Obamas. You went to Barack
Obamas on the cruise. Yeoh, they parked the cruise ship right now.
That's interesting. Some people do Jamaica, some people do Obama's Portabara, some
(03:53):
people go to Obama's I don't rememberremember being on a cruise where that was
a port of but that's pretty amazing. I was actually in your backyard on
Tuesday. I was actually in yourbackyard judgment, Orlando, Florida, Tuesday.
Oh I thought you meant five LockerBoulevard. No, I was not.
Noo, you were at mister MissusFish house. No, not the
(04:16):
Originals, the original, the ogthe Originals, because Missus Fish is here
now in Ormond Beach. Yeah,I missed that. I was like,
did Bobby just give us a dressout? Are you out of your mind?
Well? My address is yeah, one Bird Lane one two three,
(04:41):
Yeah, it's nineteen nineteen Mockingbird Lane. Damn you say tomato, I say
tomato. It's seven. We didn'tsay differently. Seventeen seventy six, Benjamin
Franklin Parkway Major shout out to VictoryBrewing Company. You to be there last
Thursday for the podcast. Yeah yeah, I mean you know, me Cross
(05:08):
the veto Low, the Carnage Crew, I mean yeah, Daven Hallikan,
which is weird. Yeah, weird, wacky stuff, Yeah, wacky stuff
stuff stuff edmon Ed McMahon was theretoo. Yes, you're correct, the
wise One. Actually he's good.Yes, yes, correct, he's long
(05:33):
dead so that's been really weird.Yes, dead, the dead Man,
the dead Man. There, wewill get there in we'll get there.
Was smooth like xlax. Oh,okay, give us a brief recab of
(05:58):
your time in Philadelphia last week.Okay, there we go. Boons,
lots and lots of boons. Yeah, Philadelphia opened its arms to us and
gave us boons. Huh yep,the city of uh brotherly love and boons.
(06:31):
Hmmm. Yeah, there's a theme. I'm noticing the theme here.
All kidding aside and I never relatedat the time, but having the Carnage
Crew on the show last week,it was a good tie in with Paul
Hyman going to the Hall of Fame. Uh yeah, you know you would
think that there was somebody behind thescenes here connect and all the that was
(07:00):
good, connect and all the somebody'sgot to connect the dots. Yeah,
honorably the greatest Hall of Fame speechof all time. And he had nothing
written down, there was no telepromter. It was all off the cuff.
Yeah, because I mean, he'she's that good. He's that guy,
and he's that good. And that'swhy, you know, one of the
(07:25):
main reasons why the Bloodline was sucha successful thing over the past few years
and why E. C. Wprospered the way that it did and is
remembered the way it is, andwhy he is, you know, looked
at so prominently in the in theindustry. I mean, he just he's
(07:46):
a he's a mastermind. Shout outto Paul Hayman. Yeah, all Hayman,
that's a horrible, horrible impression.All. I mean, what were
you expecting, Paul come out ofmy mouth? I wasn't sure. I
(08:07):
was like, he's been drinking boonsall day. I mean maybe something good
maybe, yeah, But then no, so sounded a little bit like uh,
Vinnie. He sounded a little bitlike Vinnie Pacifico. Maybe my heartstone
(08:30):
my heart, maybe myself maybe Okay, all right, back to business.
Let's go get it back on track. You've had us, You've had us,
you know. Yeah, Philly wasgood. I bought some d DP
(08:52):
yoga, which was fun. Didsome Muay Thai, which was fun.
Shout out to uh uh Philadelphia basedheavy hitters muay Thai in Philly. They
opened their doors to me. Theywere gracious. I got to work with
(09:16):
some of their fighters, some oftheir students. I really feel like DDP
yoga. I don't want this tobe a sales pitch, but I do
feel like DDP yoga kind of assistsand serves almost any form of activity,
(09:37):
but specifically when it comes to likeI dare I say, like, uh,
you know, pro wrestling or evenmartial arts MMA like it. There's
a component of d DP yoga thatso yoga. It's obviously it helps your
mobility, stretching, flexibility, allthat kind of stuff. But there's elements
(10:03):
that Dallas has worked into it thathave to do with your balance and with
your coordination that I've seen my ownimprove in such a drastic way. And
I do it more times than not, Like in my living room. I
did it this morning out on thethe off the patio in my backyard,
(10:28):
like in the grass. It's youknow, it really is. It's.
I can't say enough good things aboutDDP yoga and the way that I was
able to bring it to some ofthese fighters. I mean they like the
one morning class that we did, they sparred, and I was actually gonna
(10:48):
spar too, and I didn't.I ended up like kind of getting my
thoughts and stuff together after doing thePAD class, get my thoughts and stuff
together for the d DP yoga classand just watching these these guys spar and
(11:09):
and really kind of get after it. And right after that, after beating
the ship out of each other.Uh, they they followed along with me
for a d DP yoga class,and I really I feel like I was
able to you know, there waslike seven or eight fighters and and I
feel like I was able to reachthem with the message at least on some
(11:30):
level. And a lot of themare you know, young kids. I
mean there was one kid in there, and God, this kid was such
a natural. Looked like he hadbeen you know, fighting for years.
He's high school. Uh, he'sa he's a senior in high school.
And he had been training for fourmonths. Wow. And this this kid's
(11:54):
poise when he's sparre and was justit was like it was incredible. But
anyway, yeah, yeah, sothat that that's what Philly was for me.
And then obviously the podcast Great Time, Victory, tap Room and Cross
(12:16):
the Final Testament and you know fBobby Lashley, Long Live the Veto and
Loke. Yeah, all good stuff. Man. That was that was my
That was my mania. In anutshell, the Cross stuff was gold spoke
from the heart. That's what Iasked for. I mean, a total
(12:43):
eclipse of the heart. Some ofthe stuff he's doing, he's tied Paul
Ellering in Now you got Paul Ellering. Paul's doing some social media post on
x shooting some promos. Yeah,it's said some pretty good stuff. Cool.
Yeah yeah, I still you know, and I said it on the
podcast there too, Like I reallyfeel like Kirian has a knack and an
(13:11):
ability for that, like self madejust he's he's the di y guy.
He's more di y than than uhTomaso and and Johnny. He just he's
he's just good at it. Heis damn good at it. And even
if we're right now it's it's mostlysocial media stuff I think it's just a
(13:35):
matter of time because Hunter knows whathe has and Hunter is uh, you
know, I mean, the man'sbrilliant. He's it's the Paula Esque era
and uh, he's he's going toYou're gonna see more of Cross, I
believe, and I think there's there'smore good stuff to come because I think
(13:58):
they're barely scratching the surface us withwith Carry and Cross on the Final Testament
right now. I don't want toboth smoke, but you were accurate when
you made some talk when you're talkingabout Triple H back in the NXT days,
those same aspects of him, you'reseeing it right now. So you
(14:20):
were talking about this last year, the year before, how what he was
doing XT when you were there, and now it's kind of going full circle.
You've seen it, You've seeing itright now on the main brand.
So yeah, I think, youknow, like and I caught a lot
of ship for you know, Ithink a lot of people took a lot
of those comments and still take alot of those comments as oh, he's
(14:43):
trying to get a job or he'strying to like and in actuality, I'm
just telling the truth, like thisis how I felt. It's how I
felt about you know, mister Sheanwhen he was our foot all coach,
Like I believe, yeah, ohno, you definitely don't, you definitely
(15:05):
don't. But I know that,I know that he was somebody who you
appreciated as well. But like it'sthe same way I felt about Jim Sheen.
It's the way that I felt aboutAndy Farragan growing up playing Pop Warner.
It's the way that I felt abouteds A Loom when I played football
for Siena College. Like these peoplelike Hunter. It was a similar sort
(15:30):
of dynamic when I worked for NXTand I wanted to play well for these
coaches. I wanted to perform wellfor myself, but I also wanted to
perform well for Hunter and for Sean, And that that's what I speak of
when I sing his praises. Andyou can say, you know fans,
(15:54):
well, no, they're actually theopposite of fans of mine. You know,
the detractors mine. They can saywhat they want and okay, I
mean whatever you think is the case. That's cool with me. But I'm
just speaking my mind, which issomething I've always done. It's gotten me
(16:15):
in trouble a lot of times. But I'm still speaking my mind here too.
I'm just telling the truth about whatit is to work for the man.
I did it for four years, you know, so I know what
that felt like. I know thatwithin the first It was maybe my second
or third week that I was atNXT and Paul Levesque, Triple H whatever
(16:40):
you want to call him, hunter. He gave a speech to the room
at full Sale after one of theshows, which was something that he did
quite often, but this was thefirst one for me that I was present
for, and I remember him layingout NXT UK, like laying out the
(17:00):
format for what that would be,and like all of these other things that
he had this plan for. AndI remember thinking to myself, like,
wow, if you can't support thisguy, because you know, at the
time he was a bit of alightning rod and there were people who loved
(17:22):
him, but there were people whohated him too, And it was like,
Okay, if you can't support thisguy, like lose my number,
because we can't be friends, Likewe can truly not be friends. He
just he had such an ambition forwhat he saw the industry, what it
could be, and I think thatthat's what you're seeing walked out right now,
(17:45):
and like, you know, PaulHayman said it, and I guess
I'll steal a quote from that, like, yeah, I'm and call me
job seeking or whatever you want.Yeah, I'm a Paul of S guy.
I believe that he's great for theindustry period done over with. I
(18:08):
think I am too. I mean, the guy that's had probably one of
the greatest wrestled mainians of all time, whether it be they broke all the
records. I mean, you can'targue with those stats. Well, according
to him and his metrics and everythingelse, it was the biggest WrestleMania and
the greatest WrestleMania of all time.He came out and said it. He
opened the show with it last nighton Raw, and that's basically what he
(18:32):
said. He can say without adoubt that it was the greatest of all
time. And for any of yourdetractors, first of all, haters are
secretly fans anyway. Second of all, i'd love to hear your counterpoint on
their counterpoint on anything you said, not you seeking a job, but speaking
(18:52):
the truth about Hunter and we're seeingyou play out, Well, what are
the counterpoints for what's the counter argumentto what you've said about him. You're
telling the truth, not looking fornot seeking a job, just telling the
truth. So if what you're sayingis not true, what's the counter argument
to all the ship you said?Well, that's because we're not going to
(19:15):
get it. So because when Ihear them say, oh to Paul,
that we're doing this, that nothing. Wait a second, I kind of
kind of heard this couple years agobecause it's it's almost it's almost as if
that guy knows professional wrestling. Hemay know or two about the professional wrestling.
He may know what seems like athing here too, a thing here
(19:37):
too. But I can't you know, I have a hard time saying no
to the boons, So you can'talways trust what comes out of my mouth
because I could be all hopped upon boons. I wonder how many people
are listening, going what the fuckis boons? I don't know, I
don't know. It was liquor, right, was it wine? Want cheap?
(20:00):
Cheap wine? Even better? Evenbetter? It was flavored wine.
But yeah, I definitely support alcoholismon this show. Yeah, sat Id's
drink a lot of satan IDEs ogenis. Yeah it was bad. Yeah,
not good fear. Not good foryour liver. Yeah, none of
(20:23):
it true, you know, notin the quantities in which we drank it.
No, Nope, definitely not soall right, So Night one WrestleMania.
Did you get to actually watch it? Bobby? Did you? Did
you sit? Have you sat down? And Yeah, I've had to like
watch it most of it. I'vewatched like out of water and had to
(20:45):
go back and definitely fell asleep too, not that it wasn't entertaining, but
just because I was on such littlesleep the whole weekend, you know,
trying to catch it on he cutand stuff. Yeah, so just uh,
but I have I've seen I thinkI've seen everything. Yeah, sot
(21:11):
a sequence Night one standout matches,Frank, you got any that really kind
of caught your attention? I knowmine. I love the main event.
I love the tag match. Shoutout to Bobby Rude, by the way,
who I believe had a lot todo with that match. He's a
producer of the match and he washim well, it was rumored that he
(21:37):
was the producer for a segment priorto Mania, which got a ton of
traction as well. Which one wasthat the lead maybe the lead in with
with the rock going off the airwith Cody. I think it was the
one where he busted them open on. Yeah, yeah, that was allegedly
(22:02):
Bobby Rude as well, which youknow if it is that. Yeah,
I mean, let's just give ashout out to Bobby Rude and and applaud
in the same way that we're applaudinggreat work by by by Triple H.
You know, great work by BobbyRude. Who was I believe when I
(22:25):
was in the XT Bobby was.Was he the champion that Drew would have
taken the title from. I don'tremember exactly, but yeah, but Bobby
was around. Yeah, definitely, definitely worked with Bobby and Bobby is no
relation to a big Room. Bythe way, thank you. Hold on.
(22:48):
That's a good, good, goodjob. We're spelled completely different.
Mh Rick was Rude, Bobby rO. People may not know that Frank
Frank didn't know that. Dennis.Let me let me decode what he just
said. Frank didn't know that.So aside from the main event Frank,
(23:18):
another another name that Frank likes tocall himself is some people. Sometimes he
says, my name is Frank Ferraroand other times he says, my name
is some people or the French speakingpeople France or that. Yeah, what's
(23:42):
your favorite match? Mine, handsdown was Gunther Sammy. Were you surprised
at the ending? I don't wantto say surprised, because I think that
at this point somebody had to takeit, somebody had to end the streak,
(24:07):
like everybody, every those are madeto be ended, and I,
I don't know, I think you'dbe hard pressed to have found a better
story that was gonna come along. If it wasn't this one, we would
(24:29):
we would have gone on another yearbecause I don't think it could end it
anywhere other than Mania at this pointfor it to be as epic as it's
been. So I think it wasthe right time. Yeah, and going
back again, we're going to bringup Triple Ah. But Triple Ah has
made all the belts mean something again, Like they don't change hands weekly.
(24:51):
Every other day you held a belt, you're holding it for probably six months
to a year. Tag belts havebeen had well for you. The ladist
belts, well, I mean it'sbooking one oh one. I think you
know I'm not a booker. Idon't book wrestling. I you know,
(25:14):
don't, but I do claim toknow a thing or two or at least
have a hunch. And I thinkwhen the when the belts have meaning,
it just it adds to everything. And and the best way to the fastest
way to do that is to havethese kind of rains and to let performers
(25:37):
shine in those roles and having aneye for spotting the the talent that is
capable of it. I mean, certainly, you know, Gunther had a
lot to do with with this rainbeing as as big as it was.
He was the right talent and Hunteror somebody one of Hunter's people recognized this
(26:03):
and gave him the ball, andthat big Austrian ran with the ball for
a long time. Sixty six days. Yeah, yeah, it's all over
run. Yeah, And I meanthey're pretty poetic that it was in Philadelphia,
(26:26):
you know, had a very rockythey they're even Corey Graves I think,
or maybe it was Michael Cole mentionedgoing, there's resemblance to Drago in
the scenario, and you know,so it was like and if you I
don't remember what it was in thelead up, it wasn't when Kevin and
(26:49):
Rammy had their moment before Sammy wentout to the ring. But it was
when Sammy, Oh, it waswith Gable. I don't know if you
guys noticed this. I picked itup because I'm a huge Rocky fan.
But he said, after your match, we will we have to have a
(27:11):
conversation. It was a shout out. In my opinion, it was a
throwback to Apollo Creed and Rocky Rock. Three strike the peck up. That's
good. How do you think ofthat? That's good? Yeah? Hi
(27:33):
you no, not right now?Maybe later. I too, was a
huge fan of the Sammy Gunther match. I thought it was just I thought
it was the match of the night. It was the was the Ladder Match
Night one? It was yeah, yeah, that and those are my two
(27:53):
favorite matches for Night one. Ithink. I mean, I'm kind of
removing the main event from the Conversestation because clearly that I mean that match.
I heard say that. I heardsomeone say that that possibly Will could
win Match of the Year, andthe rock performed better I think than anyone
expected him to in the ring afternot doing it for what eight ten years,
(28:15):
So removing that it was the sixthMan or the sixth Team, the
Ladder Match and Sammy and Gunter, those were those are my two favorites.
Cool, it's a little bit alittle bit down on the USO match.
I enjoyed it. I was disappointing, really yeah, a little anti cl
(28:36):
I just kind of was I maybethe end, No, I like the
ending. I think it was more. I think maybe the expectations were a
little bit higher than what we got. It was. I liked the match.
I thought it was good, okay, but I was expecting those two
to really just go balls out.Not that they didn't, but like a
(28:57):
little bit more balls out. Andwell too, you gotta have a few
triples, you gotta have a truth. You know, they can't all be
again, I get that, yeah, can all be touchdowns? Uh?
And by the way, the laddermatch in our Truth adding his little bit
(29:18):
of comedy into that match and thefucking hot tag and scoring a pinfall in
the ladder match was hilarious. Dude, Truth, Truth is worth He's worth
his weight in gold Man. Heis. And to think like I mean,
he makes up what makes pro wrestlingso unique and so awesome and in
(29:47):
so many ways, I he's thecomic relief in what is otherwise supposed to
be a very serious sort of thing. I liken it to what was his
name, the Italian uh Morella AndantinoMorella, Santino Morella. It's it's and
(30:12):
I think it just it comes thatthese moments of levity they come and they
happen at the right times, andthat when they're timed well like they they
play their part. And I thinkright now, truth and truth. I
mean, he's tag champion, yeah, this late. I mean, the
(30:32):
guy's been doing it not quite aslong as I have, you know,
but almost he's been doing it almostas long as I have. And uh,
he's a tag champ right now.So which was also awesome because that
was his first Mania victory. Yeah, so that was that was That was
(30:52):
good and it's a good they gota good they got a good tag name,
the Awesome Truth. Yeah, it'sa good name. It's good name,
good name. So we'll roll intoNight number two. Ah the deuce.
Yeah listen, Night number one, like I know, Triple H said,
and then the press or after Nightnumber one did exactly what it was
(31:14):
supposed to do and set up Nightnumber two and teed up Night two.
Night two did not disappoint pretty muchfrom start to finish. It was a
fucking banger. Yeah. It wasreally good the the Drew and Seth match
and then yeah, Damien cashing in, which you know they and they played
that well. Uh they It wasgreat getting getting Punk involved in that as
(31:40):
little but as much as he did. Yeah, it's done really well.
Yeah, and now you got theyou know, once Punk is healed,
they can go back to you know, they him and Drew have their story.
It does tee it up pretty prettydamn well. And not only does
it tea that stuff up, butit also it puts a new face in
(32:04):
the mix, which is a Priestnow is seen because when you're in the
main event and the world title picture, like you're now, you're just seeing
differently. And I don't know eventhat Priest is quite there yet. He's
like right on the precipice of it, and it'll be what he does with
(32:30):
this opportunity. And one you know, because I've known Priest for years,
it's really nice to see a guyget an opportunity. Even if I didn't
like the guy but knew him thislong, but I've always been fond of
(32:51):
him, and I've always seen himbust his ass and work hard, and
to see him get the opportunity. It'll be I'm excited to see what he
does with it, you know, because it's now. And that's again that
that's what the Paul of Esque erais. It's like he gives people opportunities.
(33:13):
We just got done talking about howhe gave Gunter the opportunity to do
something and he knocked it out ofthe park. And now, yeah,
now Priest has an opportunity. Solet's see what he does with it.
(33:35):
It's gonna be cool. Yeah,I'm looking forward to it. And I
just found out tonight that Damian's abig Yankees fan, so I like him
even more. He was actually Iwas watching the Yankees game before he came
down to record with you guys, and he was one of the he was
the guest on the show because hewas at the stadium today and just such
(33:57):
a humble dude too, just soundedit was. It was really awesome here.
And again, Yankees fan, I'mpretty much gonna like you if you're
a Yankees fan. I mean,I don't know exactly all of his history,
but I know that he goes wayback a Northeast guy. He grew
up in the Bronx, all theway back to Like when I first I
(34:22):
met Priest just doing the Northeast indies. I don't remember exactly where it was,
but like, I mean, I'veknown him on and off for years.
Like Ring of Honor was definitely notthe first place that we met,
but it was the place that weworked together first. And yeah, he
(34:42):
just was always one of those Northeastguys who you know, bounced around same
way I did and just traveled ridiculousdistances for little money and you know,
like just did the indie thing andcame up grind. It had had to
grind. And it's nice to seea grinder, you know, get his
(35:05):
flowers, show folks show. Yeah. Uh. Thoughts on on Jake Jake
Paul retaining, Oh, I thoughtyou're gonna say Jake the snake. No
he's tired. Yeah, yeah, okay, got one of you guys.
I've talked enough m so that lookas you Frank, because Dennis is asking
(35:32):
the question, Yeah, I needto see him as someone else. I
wanted to see Ordon or Kevin oonesWin. I love how Kevin Owens drove
the golf cart to the ring andalmost killed or to the process. I
thought that was hilarious. You couldtell Randy was uncomfortable with him on the
(35:52):
back of that golf cart, Owedgedropped the hammer down. I'm like,
is he gonna flip this thing down? The ram The comedy between Kevin and
Randy has been pretty awesome too,and just kind of them kind of siding
with each other with just because oftheir hatred for Jake Paul. Yeah,
(36:14):
but then once they like, Ilike during the match they figured out like
Jake was out of the ring. He's like, shit, we got to
fight each other too. It's atriple threat match. Yeah, I mean,
let's see, maybe they go,uh, maybe they go back to
it, maybe we get more ofthat, maybe they they leave it,
you know, and it doesn't overstay. It's welcome. I mean, we'll
(36:36):
see. It's it's interesting I seeingJake Paul pull it out with you know,
the deck was certainly stacked against him. There was no champions advantage here.
There was, in fact, achampion's disadvantage, and he was competing
(36:59):
with two I mean, let's faceit, Randy Orton's about has made a
man in WWE is as you getand as far as people who have come
in from the modern era and andcome up through the Indies and the Ring
of Honors, the way that thatpeople have and and then crossed over into
(37:23):
WWE. You know, faces thatthat people never thought they would see in
WWE. I mean, it doesn'tget much bigger than than a success story
than Kevin. So for Logan Paulto still be champion after Mania is shocking.
(37:44):
Who was the guy in the PrimeBottle. I'm not familiar with that
guy, Gary Coleman, Gary Coleman, I think he's dead. He No,
he is, He's definitely, hedefinitely passed, right. Yes,
there's lots of and uh, theunder Taker was he's the dead man.
So any think anything's possible that actuallyhe's an influencer of some kind or a
(38:09):
YouTuber, TikToker or something. Yeah, they said something, and he says,
so he's an influencer of some kind. But I don't, I'm I'm
I guess, I'm old. Idon't know. I don't know influencers by
name. I didn't. I hadno idea who was He took a stiff
kick from from Randy though right inthe Chick he got the three hundred kick
(38:35):
from Yeah, he definitely got thethree hundred kick. He got all talk
USC three hundred. I'm not talkingabout the upcoming you know card with Pereira
and u Jamal Hill. I'm talkingabout the movie The three hundred kick.
He got it, he got hegot quite the kick an got put through
(38:55):
the Spanish announced table too, right, Yeah, I think everyone. I
think the Spanish announced table lives inparts of non unknown. Yeah, why
they put it together. It's justgonna get busted anyway. Anytime you see
it, you're like, well, that's getting broke tonight. I think as
(39:16):
kids. I think as kids, that was the same premise. Guys,
we're gonna thrown through the space announcedtable in parts in parts unknown. Yeah.
Yeah. Now my other favorite matchwas this. This feud for me
was under the radar, but manit was good. It was Aj Styles
(39:37):
l An. Yeah, that's that'sa match that I missed. Oh well
they have not seen that match.Good match, great, great leading because
they had a pull apart I thinkat a press conference or something Friday where
I got that was good. Thatwas good and they played that up real
(39:59):
old school style too, like withl A. Knight going to uh Aj
Styles house getting arrested at his house. Yeah, I didn't see any of
this. I saw the press conferencedeal, but I didn't see the match,
and that was one of the matchesI was looking forward to seeing,
just because of the arrival of LA. Knight over the past year and
(40:22):
whatever. We've talked about it atlength on this podcast before. And then
also like aj, he's he's ourgeneration's Sean Michaels as far as I'm concerned,
you know, he can't have abad match. So like I really
thought, like, wow, thatone's going to steal the show and somehow
(40:42):
I missed it. Well, thenwe won't get into it much watching.
Let's get let's get into it.I mean, this is you know then
my name is on the podcast, but it's not. It's not for me,
don't We don't want to root itfor ruin it for me. I
like having I deserve to have itruined. Yeah, I like to.
(41:07):
I'm punishing myself. It was agood match. Okay, great, that's
all I got. All right,Great, there you go. What happened,
Franks? Thanks Tom? What happened? Yeah, it was us talking
you fool. Yeah, Frank,Frank, did you just get a visit
(41:28):
from farts? Unknown? Farts?I think I heard from it. That's
a T shirt right there, that'sa T shirt Bobbyfish Apparel dot com.
Get your farts unknown t shirt. It's not there, so don't try to
order that. We no, no, but I'll tell you what man,
(41:50):
And it kind of harkens back towrestling. It's a red Dragon reference.
Like Kyle and I would, wewould stay up at the stay up a
musing each other with with bad puns. Yeah. Man, that sounds like
a freaking hooting nanny're right there.Yeah, bad frank not big pun,
(42:16):
not big pun, but bad puns. Nice, nice little hip hop throw
in there, like yeah, yeah, good ship. Yeah. Maybe that's
who I would be if I wasa rapper. Bad Pun. That's a
good I think that's a good rappername for you. Bad Pun. That's
(42:37):
now officially for the for this podcast, my rapping alias is bad Pun Excellent.
At what point on the show, which episode will you be rapping for
us? Oh? The next one. Okay, I've got to brush up
(42:58):
on my something to look for too. On the next episode of this podcast.
Next week, I'm gonna wrap ourI'm gonna wrap us into the intro.
Oh God, coming next week. It's coming next week. Yourself bad
pun. He will make his debut. Frank, one of us is gonna
(43:19):
have to remember it because you know, God damn will Bobby's ones. Yeah
yeah. Uh. Speaking speaking ofthis week, we another shout out to
House the champions. Uh anniversary comingaround. I'm not sure exactly the day,
(43:45):
but they got their one year anniversary. It's uh, it's it's upon
us. It's uh, it looksit looks to be like the weekend of
May fourth and fifth. Okay, all right, well then that's uh there,
they're a couple of weeks off. They're doing an open house on May
fourth and fifth. They're gonna throwa huge party to celebrate our one year
(44:06):
anniversary. If you've been considering tryingus out, this is the weekend to
do it. The entire event isfree. Oh let's see, nice,
I'm gonna have a free in ringtraining session, a marketing session, mini
students, show a chance to bein a battle, royal games, raffles,
food and fun. Well here's thething is, so what you just
(44:30):
rattled off kind of checks a bunchof the boxes that they do their I've
seen lots of wrestling schools and whatever, and you know they they are a
full, fully operational, one stopshop. So like, not only can
I co sign the coaching that youget from Tacoa and from Nick, and
(44:52):
but you have Nick's wife, Renee, who does the marketing, and they
you know, there's a huge socialmedia aspect that they help the students cover
as well as kind of getting yourfeet wet on the indies and whatnot,
which if you're gonna go, ifthat's the route you're going, you know,
(45:14):
if you don't come out of collegeas a scholarship athlete and then walk
into the PC, that the nextbest opportunity you can give yourself is to
go to a wrestling school and getyourself trained and then start honing your craft
on the indies, which can beeverywhere from you know, some some really
(45:37):
good stuff to some really bad stuff. So uh, and the bad stuff
actually becomes so comical that it's it'sjust stuff that you will you know,
it's hard to believe at the time, but that you'll look back on fondly,
you know at some point, oryou'll cry, or you'll cry.
I spent a lot of nights crying. Jesus. Yeah. They're also for
(46:02):
anyone that signs up for that weekendthey're giving away a free full year scholarship
to the House of Champions as well. Whoa, whoa, Well, that's
pretty damn cool. That is prettydamn cool, because I mean, if
you get your your training, likeI said, I've co signed on the
training that you get there already. But to get that free of charge,
(46:27):
that's insane. So if you're interested, you want to be a part of
it, get to get at themon Instagram. It's the hoc Underscore Pro.
They have a link in their biofor you to get registered for that,
and I'll put the link to registerin the description of the podcast as
well. So very cool. AndDennis, is it true? I heard
(46:47):
a rumor that they were also givingaway a year's worth of boons, that
that there was no information on theirInstagram post. But maybe if you want
to, you know, you canyou can acquire with him. Okay,
I'll have to ask Nick if theywere did there. I know they were
(47:07):
toying with the idea of boons. It seems like a pretty good giveaway there,
like a year's worth of boons.Yeah, in a scholarship to the
to the Yeah, it's a gift. It's a gift that keeps on giving
Frank. Yeah, right, theJelly of the Month Club, the Boon
(47:31):
of the Month Club. Yes,I'm pretty sure there's only like four flavors
so well, so that's got June, July, August, and September covered.
Then you just start over again.Yeah, don't ask me why I
started there, but I did.You always start in the middle of the
(47:52):
year anyway. So main event,I mean, obviously we'll circle back in
and I'm the main event for nightnumber two. Cody Roman, Bloodline Rules.
Okay, go ahead, you guysstart man man. That was professional
(48:13):
wrestling and its finest. It tookyou to ride for about the forty five
minutes. And the one thing Isaw that I thought was pretty great the
post was that match was overbooked inthe best way possible. It didn't bother
me. It didn't bother it.They could have behold Cogan out, but
yeah, it was the whole thingfor me. I mean, the match
(48:38):
itself before any of the Bloodline Rulesreally took effect, because there was there
was more bullshit and in the tagmatch than there was for most of Roman
and Cody. And then yeah, one Solo came out, and then Sina
came out, which I had somesuspicions with that, and that rumor had
(48:59):
been solating, and then the rockcoming out and kind of reigniting their little
thing that they had nobody knew takerwas going to be there. That was
fucking amazing. I mean, sofor me, watching all of that is
confirmation that, like as a fan, the Internet does no favors to like
(49:28):
fandom, like because I followed noneof that stuff therefore, watching it and
I had, like I said,I had to watch things out of order,
and I think I probably fell asleepbefore the match or somewhere like right
at the beginning. So when Idid go back and watch it, it
(49:52):
got a bit absurd, you know. But because I was following along step
by step, you know, likeI hadn't read any of the rumors because
I don't I don't sift through theinternet for that stuff, Like I don't
pay any attention to it. Pointbeing, it was because I was following
(50:15):
along with each cameo like one byone, it didn't it didn't necessarily necessarily
get to that place where it waslike too much, you know what I
mean. And I think that that'swhere you know, fans nowadays, the
(50:35):
Internet kind of hurts your ability toenjoy the show, to enjoy the storyline
that your money is paying for. That's what these right, why these writers
and producers, the Bobby Roods ofthe world, why they have jobs and
why they get paid what they getpaid is so that you have something to
(50:55):
enjoy it. And I just Ifeel like, you know, the this
is where fans and the internet, the combination of the two. Isn't the
great the greatest thing in the world. Were they really there wasn't hard.
I mean people were guessing at whowas going to kind of have Cody's back
because and that's part of the fun, right, and it's but that's really
(51:16):
all it was. I didn't seeanything that there was definites like, I
don't actively search out what other peopleare saying about it. It ends up
in my feed sometimes. But I'mjust saying when that when people try to
figure it out, Yeah, someof that is like, man, just
the events coming, man, justenjoy it. The one big rumor that
(51:37):
I think people were expecting was stoneCold Steve Boston, but the Undertaker was
it has a point for me wherethey could wield anybody out. I want
to have been young. Yeah,at any point. I mean, hell,
they brought Bumba Ray Dully back out. I like, well, we
got it's Freddy Blasty. Yeah,as many dead people as we can figure
(52:00):
out. Yeah, and that's tokind of get away from the main event
for a hot second. The PhiladelphiaStreet flight was pretty dope, and having
Bubba Rat as the referee was prettyawesome too. Yeah. So yeah,
I enjoyed that, and you know, especially Bubbaret being on and he's still
(52:25):
a part of Busted Open with theRecA and Dreamer, you know, and
it's just again, I think itharkens to the paulove esque era, like
where you truly you don't know, because I think Hunter does a very good
(52:45):
job of keeping doors open. Imean, nobody, nobody saw Phil Brooks
coming back to the company, andit you know, it happened. And
I think that that's I think thatthat's an aspect of of of Paul lev
(53:06):
esk of Hunter, and I thinkthat that's great for fans period. I
think more than anything, he putsfirst what fans want to see. That's
a good point because it's a goodpoint because look at the Hall of Fame.
He brought Bruno back, he broughtthe Warrior back. Guys who have
(53:28):
been eliotted from the for years havecome back and sure, you know,
sure ship, I mean they there'sa Warrior Award, there's an award named
after the guy, you know,And there was definitely a time that he
was the third in the punch bowl. That's true, you know, so,
(53:49):
yeah it is. I wonder wherethat expression came from. Someone put
a third in the punch bowl,or someone was like, what's really disgusting,
Well, well just take a shipin the punch bowl. Yep,
that would that's really disgusting. SoI would that would grow some people out.
Yeah, that would definitely do it. I wonder if the punch bowl
was full of boons possible, possible? It is. It's like a high
(54:14):
school dance all over again. Yeah. Uh So to go back to divert
back to the main event to Ithink something that kind of there was a
couple of things that maybe got overlooked, maybe not. You know, people
are pretty smart and stupid these days. Where one was coming back first of
(54:34):
all, coming back and like theshield music hits and everyone's like, what
the fuck do you think that?People thought that there was a Moxley sighting
coming I thought, so, Ithought, you really like, look who
was coming out? We want tocome out, like bring out John Mogley.
When when the Shield music hit,I actually I said it out loud,
(54:57):
I go Moxley and there was apause. There was a pause.
Befohere anybody came out. I'm like, where's going on? I think actually,
I think Seth got caught up.And you got to think too,
if he did a Shield entrance,he was coming from section four or four.
It's a big ass stadium. Ihad to take a minute to get
there. But and one of thethings it was it was subtle with him
(55:23):
being in the Shield uniform, butalso him not really doing anything when he
got there, like he got takenout immediately. And then Roman diversus attention
from Cody, hits him with thechair because of his bitterness for sucking up
the shield, making Seth rollins Cody'sshield. At the end of that match,
(55:46):
it dies and and dude, andI'll tell you this is another layer
of the Paul leve Esque era,is that he loves to book in that
way where these these these like hiddencallbacks to moments and and some of them
(56:09):
are going to get overlooked by theFairweather fans. But then there's gonna be
the other ones that pay attention toevery little thing. And he he being
Hunter, I think he play katesall of them. So you make good
point because the end the match, the celebration, all the guys come to
(56:30):
the ring. You go back towhen Dusty won his first championship Florida.
It was the same type of thing. All his friends came from the ring,
they picked him up. It wasidentical. It was awesome. Yeah,
with Taker coming back, that wasa callback because Taker is the guy
that Roman beat that started the headof the table story. Wow wow,
(56:58):
Yeah, all right, there's anadded layer, Dennis, I didn't I
didn't see that. Now, Mike, here's you want to really get people
talking. The following day, shieldmusic hits. Who comes out. It's
not Moxley, it's not his wife, Renee, it's not Rollin's. It's
(57:23):
Tony Khan in a wig, aset a seth freaking Rollin's wig, dressed
in the shield gear. I wouldget people talking. I think that that
would have gotten people talking for sure, that we'd still be talking about it
today. A couple of days aboutthat. We're talking about it right now.
(57:49):
It didn't even have right, wouldthat Do you think that would have
You think that would have shocked somepeople, probably, especially he showed up
on Raw would have been shocking.Bishop would have talked about that podcast.
I think Trump would have talked aboutthat, about that. Everyone would have
(58:12):
been talking about that. They wouldhave been talking about that at the presidential
election. Yeah November. Hey didyou see Tony conn five months ago?
Yeah? Real quickly, just givesome flowers to Pat McAfee at the announced
table, who was absolutely fucking awesome. I think he's hilarious. There was
(58:35):
the moment when Damien cashed in wonthe belt from Drew and Michael Kogel's holy
and then mcafeew just finishes it.He goes ship. Yeah, alright,
well all right, big shout outto to my war Game Games for opponent
(59:01):
Pat McAfee in front of the show. Is he hasn't been on yet,
but yeah, I'm not even surehe and I are friends. You know,
well we fought at war games, that's right. Yeah, fine,
he was kind of like fatal attractionto Adam we can I think Pat McAfee
(59:27):
has a crush on Adam Cole.Oh well, yeah, it's all water
under the bridge. If Pat wantsto come on the show, yeah,
yeah we can. Let's touch brieflyon the Raw after Mania. I watched
it. I don't know if Yeah, I watched again. I watched pieces
of it. Oh, I mean, before we move on, congratulations to
(59:51):
Cody Rhoades for quote unquote finishing thatstory. Yeah, it was. It's
pretty awesome. Yeah, I thoughtlast night, I thought Raw after Mania
was good. I got a kickout of it because I remember sitting there
at eight thirty still being entertained andnot a single wrestling hold had happened on
(01:00:16):
the show yet. I didn't realizeit was that late. I'm looking at
watch. Oh my gosh, therehasn't been a hold. Entertainment's entertainment.
Man. They just that and thatthe video package that they put on for
Cody. I mean, it's youknow Bischoff told us about creating that emotion
(01:00:37):
those guys. WWE is really reallyhitting on all emotions and it's fucking great.
And the Rock and him, I'mlooking forward to that when The Rock
comes back. The Rock and Cody. I want to know what The Rock
gave him, because they say morequestions than answer yeah, and the fact
(01:01:00):
that they didn't like he hasn't divulgedit. You know, there wasn't a
there because a couple of weeks agowhen he whispered in Cody's ear and then
he was like, what did yousay to Cody? And he said,
ask Cody, and then Cody kindof hinted but didn't really say what the
Rock said and it was you know, tonight, I'm going to make you
bleed. But this one was hehanded him something and walked away, and
(01:01:21):
I was like, the funk wasthat? Did he give him his favorite
rock? I know what it is. I got an email? Is a
boons from Frank's wife Della? Withthe email again, Bobby's like, I
got a letter through a carrier picturetoday, I got a fact from Rocks
(01:01:49):
people. Is it a Is ita mini bottle of boons? No?
There were no damn it, damnboons boons. I ended up not watching
the whole thing last night. Iended up just falling asleep. Mm hmm.
It happens. But they did bringup mister john again. You think
(01:02:10):
Dwayne Johnson, you think he enjoysa good boons. I'm pretty sure he
just drinks his own tequila. Uhwhat Tara Mina, Yeah, Teremona,
Teremona Tramona. Yeah, yes, remember Mona from Who's the Boss? Yeah,
(01:02:32):
yeah, I remember that? ToDan he did Who's That to?
No, he's still alive? Good? Probably we brought someone up that's still
breathing. Good. I'm glad.I'm glad. I like that. Are
we closer Tony Danza mm hmmm mmhmmm, And yeah, Sina did make
(01:02:57):
an appearance last night, which wasalso awesome. Uh. You know what
else would have been shocking? Wasit the Shield music hit and Tony Danza
came out in a in a sethfreaking Rollin's wig with Tony Kahan John Moxley
(01:03:17):
wig. Yes, yes, anda John Moxley like skin cap. Yep.
Really that would have had people talkingto that would have no, for
sure would have shoved in the creativeYeah we probably should or yeah, I
(01:03:38):
would do if I if it were, if I was head of creative,
everything would be done through uh factsand the email. Let's keep it old
school. Nice Bobby's out there sendingsmoke signals? Mm hmm. How about
the subtle hints about uncle how comingback? That was commercial break I guess
(01:04:03):
they started playing his music. Lightswent out and played his music. I
think I think both coming back.I think both if you want to watch
a good documentary, I just watchedThe Bray White when when I was coming
back Fantastic. It's long, butit's fantastic. I watched it also.
(01:04:23):
It is good. It's good, but it is there's an emotion there obviously.
Yeah, I can see where thatwould be a thing. M SmackDown.
Obviously we're talking before it, sowe won't be able to talk about
that. All things WWE right now, though, I'm here for it.
(01:04:44):
I'm I think the rock is rightwith. We made wrestling cool again and
they got people talking about it.So did you notice that they are referring
to it as professional wrestling now,it's not sports entertainment re If you notice
a lot of the Paul Hayman's ashe said it was back to professional wrestling.
(01:05:04):
Cody kind of caught himself last nightduring his promo. He said it,
and then he kind of said oncesaid down with professional wrestling. You
know it's back, So they're reallygetting back. That's what we'll go full
circle. It's full of back professionalwrestling. Student the game. That's where
we're at. Well, everything thatyou're everything that you're saying, I'll just
(01:05:33):
sum it up with our good ourgood things, you know, to to
avoid people saying that I'm job seeking. It just these are all good things,
man, They're good for the industry. Again, if you if you
can't support it, like we can'tbe friends, lose my number. Yeah
(01:05:54):
I agree with that. Yeah,and I mean everything I think that's going
on in Professor for wrestling right nowis good for professional wrestling. Yeah,
I said, I've said it before. I think ae w uh surviving,
doing well, prospering, any ofthe above is good for the overall industry.
(01:06:19):
I think t NA gaining some tractionand being entertaining and having talent there
that that people want to see NewJapan having a soldout Tokyo Dome like these
(01:06:43):
are all it's all good. It'sit's a healthy industry. It's it's good
to be in pro wrestling right now. Son't wrong with any of them.
Now, speaking of pro wrestling,mm hm, you've got some pro wrestling
stuff coming up. I believe nowyou're doing the Snowing the offa show coming
(01:07:03):
up, Yes, w XW.It will be a tribute to w XW,
the wrestling Academy of wrestling school that'sbeen there for years, and Offa
himself and the family that will beon the thirteenth Saturday, the thirteenth,
(01:07:31):
Mineola here in Florida. Yeah, and I mean, it's the least It'll
be an honor to go out therewrestle on what will be the final show
for w x W, and forthe family that ran w x W all
(01:07:53):
these years, and I you know, for me too. It kind of
comes a little bit full circle whenthe opportunity to be a part of this
came up. It made me rememberback to when I was I don't know
how many years in, probably somewherebetween five and ten years in and Offa
(01:08:16):
booked me for and I had noname value at the time. I don't
even I don't know if I wasworking for Noah at that point. I
hadn't, but definitely no name valueat the time, and I got booked
on one of his shows. Idon't remember what I did even, but
I know that it was It waswork, and it was a chance for
(01:08:43):
a kid from upstate New York whojust happened to get taught how to wrestle
by a guy from Newburgh, NewYork named Tony DeVito, and like,
you know, so here it istwenty some odd years later, I get
an opportun unity kind of return thefavor. So yeah, sign me up.
(01:09:04):
Nice. Yeah, Yeah, it'sgonna be cool. And that's gonna
be cool. April twentieth with Housea Champion. Yeah, April twentieth,
gonna be doing a seminar with Houseto Champions and that'll be in Longwood,
Florida, Florida, and then theRose In Center later that day on I
(01:09:29):
drive in Orlando, Florida, Iwill be doing a signing. The name
of the event is the only onethat's on the tip of my tongue right
now, is the Big Event. But that was the one that was in
New York, so that's not it. And again my preparation is impeccable.
(01:09:51):
Yes, well, we'll call itthe medium size event. Yes, we'll
call it. We'll call it comingto you live via satellite from farts unknown
medium event. Oh, perfect, good stuff. Yeah, And obviously any
(01:10:12):
of the information that you might belooking for, I'm Bobby's ex posting it
out there all the time, throwingit out there, and may thirty first
SmackDown is going to be in Albany, and Albany, fucking Albany, Frank,
we live there. My daughter graduatesfrom fifth grade that day, oh
(01:10:34):
ship, We're going to be atthe at the MVP Arena recording a live
version of this foolishness that and Ithink we all we'll all be there.
But well, that morning I'll beat her graduation. Ah, but that
evening I'll be with us. I'llbe with you. You are taking the
(01:10:55):
company leader up that morning. Righthere, it's a helicopter. You're gonna
take a helicopter from Florida to it'sthe podcast. We were on a budget.
We're on a budget, so wedon't have to leave. We gotta,
we gotta, but we do.We do have a chopper. Yeah,
(01:11:16):
go to Choppa. Your Arnold sucks. It's get to the chopper.
Yeah, yeah, you're Your Arnoldis as if he's been drinking Boons all
day. Man. We gotta getendorsement out of those people. We do.
We do got to get an endorsementfrom the Boons. I'm not sure
(01:11:38):
if they're still in existence, butyeah, I don't think they are.
They probably shouldn't be they couldn't havebeen good. I've never actually had a
boon. That just sounds like somethingyou should drink though, you know,
boons wine. Yeah, let's breakout the boons. Mhmm, Daniel,
(01:12:00):
I'm sure the thirty first will havesome surprises up our sleeves. The thirty
first of Man, Yes, ohMan Halloween. Uh yeah, I know
there's there's some stuff in the works. I know that there's going to be
like VIP tickets available as well tosit you know, front and center while
I works. Do you mean waterworks? Nope, nope, nope, we
(01:12:24):
won't be their reference. No,no, you're married, I get it.
Nope. Uh taking someplace elf donplace, But no, there will
be some uh why I think it'savailable for some vi P. What's the
problem. It's not a kind ofestablishment, from the Bukhack Lounge to the
(01:12:57):
what was that? What the fuckdid I come up with earlier? Frank,
the Bukki what did I call it? The Bukaki Lounge and the Bukky
something? The House of Bukki isthat what house of the house back in
Thailand instead of the House of BlackYeah, the House of Cocky. I'm
(01:13:20):
not gonna make we can feed withthose guys. That's what it takes.
I mean us house of Black,Well, technically it just be you against
House of Black. Okay, sobe the House of Bukhaki, the House
