Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Upside with Jordan. A dose of good news,
because it's a big world out there for people living
with neurological disorders such as stroke injuries, or Parkinson's disease
or traumatic brain injury. There's a local nonprofit I wanted
to tell you about called Supportive Living Ink and they
have a program called Neurofit taking place at a number
of YMCAs across the North Shore. The Neurofit one hour

(00:20):
assisted exercise class features aerobics functional exercise to improve strength
and mobility, as well as balance exercises. Folks participating are
helped along by college students who are trained by Neurofit staff.
Interns provide one on one instruction to help people work
towards specific and individualized fitness goals. Exercise for this community
has so many physical benefits, but there's also these social

(00:42):
and motivational aspects that have a lot of people smiling.
Neurofit is run by a local nonprofit and you can
find out more at Supportive Livingink dot org. Once again,
Supportivelvingink dot org. And that's the Upside with Jordan WZ
