Welcome to the upside with Jordan, a dose of good news.
Because it's a big world out there. Every quality football
coach knows you have to be prepared for anything. So
kudos to the NFL for taking on a very important
initiative helping to work with FEMA to set up emergency
shelters aka football stadiums ahead of any upcoming disasters. NFL
(00:21):
teams are working with FEMA to offer a safe haven
where people can find shelter, food, water, and other supplies
during a weather or health emergency. Reports indicate the stadiums
would be available all year long, with the cost of
operating temporary shelters negotiated among local, state, and federal officials.
At the start, there are four venues. MetLife Stadium home
of the Jets and Giants in New Jersey, lumen Field
(00:43):
where the Seahawks and Seattle play, Acrosure Stadium, home of
the Steelers in Pittsburgh, and the home of the Buccaneers
in Tampa Raymond James Stadium. Other teams are expected to
join the campaign, and that's the upside with Jordan. WZ
