This is the upside with Jordan. A dose of good
news because it's a big world out there. And today
a memoriam for a gentleman known as America's nicest judge.
Those of you in Rhode Island know who I'm talking about,
Judge Caprio, who spent nearly forty years on the bench
in the City of Providence. He certainly understood all aspects
of the law, but he was also a student of
the human condition. The judge often dismissed minor infractions with

a touch of humor and compassion, reminding all of us
that in justice, grace is as much a factor as
is punishment. He was a jurist who had the perfect
combination of wisdom humility, understanding what people were going through
to literally change the pathway of certain lives, particularly young people,
from failure and despair to lives of meaning and hope.

He was a true Rhode Island treasurer, and flags across
the state of Rhode Island flew at half staff in
his memory. Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of Providence,
Frank Caprio will not and should not be forgotten. And
