Welcome to the Upside with Jordan a dose of good news.
Because it's a big world out there, so many people recycle.
It's good for the environment. But according to Riley Miller
of Whitman, Massachusetts, those redemption machines can pay off pretty well,
say more than ten thousand dollars with Riley collecting cans.
The really neat story is that this twenty three year
old donates the money and has been doing so since

high school. Riley was born with Down syndrome, and with
the money raised from his can and bottle redemption, he's
helping to support the Best Buddies program. To date, Riley
has collected an amazing number, more than two hundred and
ten thousand cans. Of course, he does give credit to
his dad, Tom Miller for helping him out. They travel
all over the South Shore and also give to the
Whitman Council on Aging the Public Libraries, Saint Jud's, the

Alzheimer's Association, and more. Riley says in his dad's Facebook page,
which is Tom Thhom Miller, I plan to do this
for the rest of my life. So Riley, thank you
for helping a lot of folks and keeping our environment clean.
