Speaker 1 (00:01):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with tip.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
You know, I am trying desperately to find other things
on the internet to talk about other than the Diddy trial.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
There's just a lot of news.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Or just before nine o'clock, nine o five, your first
chance of the morning to pick up that thousand dollars.
I'm sure it'll come in handy as we head into
almost Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial kickoff of summer. So
before we get to the money, let's start off with
the Diddy trial. There are things here that are a
trigger warning, and that's going to be kind of the
(00:37):
theme for the next several days and weeks when I
report on the Ditty trial. It was a big day
yesterday as Cassi Ventura took the stand. When you're in
your own court of law, in your car, you start
thinking about whether or not you think this is cooresion
or was it consent.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
That's the theme of the Didty trial.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Mostly Okay, yesterday, Cass you took the stand and stuff
that I had reported on Monday. Didn't feel comfortable talking
about it, to be honest, and today it's even worse.
Imagine the Diddy freak off, which, by the way, I
thought was a very like jokey term in the beginning,
very much not a joke. Would sometimes last upward of
forty eight hours for Cassie engaging in sexual acts. And
(01:20):
we had learned some stuff yesterday. You can go back
and listen to the podcast. But essentially she would drug
herselves to be able to make it through this.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
She was expected to do so.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Even on her cycle and during times when she'd be like,
I don't want to do the diddy freak off.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
He would get violent, of course, right, and.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
They asked, the prosecution asked, hey, why did you stay?
And I think that's a common question for people. She said, quote,
I felt it was humiliating, disgusting. I never wanted people
to see me like that, objectifying me, putting me in
a very compromising, gross position with strangers. Why did I stay,
good quoe question. I wanted to make him happy. I
(02:02):
loved him. I liked the one on one time. And
I think if you relate this back to your own
inner circle, we all have a friend that stays with
someone they shouldn't because they love a certain part of them.
And you add in money and fame, because it's hard
to imagine this lifestyle and the lifestyle at least I
live right now in Cincinnati, so if we're looking at
(02:22):
our own kitchen table on this one, it's.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Hard to relate to.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
But I think this boils down to Diddy being addicted
to porn, having insane amounts of money, creating insane amounts
of power, and having this hold not just over Cassie,
but over several people. Right, why didn't you leave? Well,
he had a choke hold on literally me, my career,
my life, my friends, my people. That's kind of the
(02:51):
baseline of what happened. Yesterday's cross examination will happen, and
I can only imagine how Diddy's defense is going to
come up against Cassie. I feel for her, she's in
the third trimester of her pregnancy. By the way, to
Alex Fine, who was in the stands at one point,
I think he might have had to leave. Don't quote
me on that one if you're wondering too, if there's
(03:12):
anything I missed on this one. Oh, by the way,
being a freak is not a crime, right, but you
have to have consent from someone else has to be
equally into it. Again, coercion or consent, you decide, But
Diddy is charged five counts, one count of racketeering conspiracy,
two counts of sex trafficking, two counts of transportation to
engage in prostitution. If convicted, life in prison. Now defense prosecution.
(03:37):
No one is denying that Ditty was violent in the abuse.
No one's denying that. Okay, you can't go to jail
for being a freak, right. They have to prove reasonable
doubt on those above charges, the rico, the transportation, etc.
They are using the Diddy video with Cassie as a
way to sway the jury, and I hope they do.
(03:59):
We will cover this. Theyll be more. That is three
and by the way, the things I can't talk about.
If you want to google Diddy and Nipple, go ahead
and do that. Second and three things you need to know.
Some better news for you. It is Pete Rose Night
at Great American Ballpark. And you know, according to Rob Manfred,
the Baseball Commissioner, if you're dead, you're no threat to baseball.
(04:20):
Pete Rose was placed on the MLB Permanently Ineligible list
in August of eighty nine for betting on baseball games
while he was managing the Cincinnati Reds.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Since that's been lifted. They'll vote.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
I think in twenty twenty seven we could see Pete
Rose in the Hall of Fame. Tonight, first pitch goes
off at seven fourteen. There'll be celebrations throughout. The pregame
opens up at five four five forty four pm. Very specific, right,
very specific, and I think it's you know, to play
alongside the fourteenness of tonight.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
And then lastly in three things you need to know, Well,
let's go.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Let's take a detour, quick, quick back to the courtroom
because the Menendez brothers are are up for resentencing, so
so Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Jessic reduced
the brother's sentences from life without parole to fifty years
to life, making them eligible for parole.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Now the board has to vote on it.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Once the board votes on it goes up to Governor
Gavin Newsom, and he'll decide whether or not the Menenda's
brothers walk free. He's got one hundred and twenty days
to do so after the board votes. Do you remember
this was up with the LA District Attorney in the fall,
but then the reelection happened that DA was out. New
one came in and said, Eh, I don't know about this.
He pushed the sentencing. Well it happened. Menenda's brothers say
(05:38):
that they are reformed after thirty plus years in prison.
They're convicted of murdering their parents. Just in case you
don't know, and they're like teens at eighteen and twenty one.
We'll see what happens from that one. I'll keep you posted.
That is three things you need to know for the
fourteenth of May. Your chance to win that grand is
coming up at nine oh five. Don't go far
