Speaker 1 (00:02):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with TIF. Well, good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Of course we'll talk about Taylor Swift. Right that news
broke on Friday once the show wrapped. But we're just
before seven o'clock on this excuse me. We're in June,
Happy Pride Month, the second of June right now, forty
seven degrees a highest seventy eight and fairly mild throughout
the week here with some wildfire haes from Canada. All right,
before we get to Taylor Swift, let's start off with

(00:29):
Ellie dla Cruz. Unfortunately his sister, his sister, Janelius Dala
Cruz Sanchez, passed away and he paid tribute to her
over the weekend when they were playing in Chicago. Up
in Chicago, I have Terry Francona here speaking on it.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
He takes so much pride in being available. And you know,
guys like I mean, I was Carlos Santana and Cleveland
was very similar. And for a kid that's that young,
that's an admirable trait.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Yeah, you know, Ellie de la Cruz is only twenty
three years old. Sometimes when I look at him, I'm like,
I just it doesn't feel like he's twenty three. He
hit his twelfth home run of the season at the game.
He pointed to the sky and then made a heart
gesture with two of his hands as he crossed the plane.
So I'm sure you'll see that video as he circulates
throughout the week, and of course, our thoughts and prayers

(01:24):
are with Ellie de la Cruz and his family. Second
in three Things You Need to Know this morning, it
was a major announcement on Friday, just as the show
wrapped up that Taylor Swift is now the official owner
of all six of her first albums, purchasing the master
recordings from a place called Shamrock Capital for three hundred

(01:46):
and sixty million dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
I'm not surprised by this.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
I believe Shamrock Capital purchased them from Scooter Braun. Scooter
Braun's ownership of Taylor's albums in the first place without
her knowing it was really what prompted her to re
record the first bunch and then from there she went
out on the Eras tour, and I mean talk about
a full circle moment for her. By the way, I
forgot about this. I came across this on X over

(02:11):
the Weekend. It was really Kelly Clarkson was the one
that inspired Taylor Swift to re record her albums back
in twenty nineteen. In July, she said, Taylor, just a
thought you should go in and re record all the
songs that you don't own the masters on exactly how
you want them, but put brand new art and some
kind of incentives so fans will no longer buy the
old versions. I'd buy all the new versions just to

(02:33):
prove a point. And look at where we are now,
five six years later. Taylor's re recorded a few of them.
How many four of them?

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Is it four? She's rerecorded four.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Of them and it had gone out on this massive
global tour that really changed the world. And so now
she's got the mom she owns Taylor Swift, Fearless Speak
now read nineteen eighty nine and reputation. Now, will we
get a reputation redo? The answer on that is no.
She said that there was no I think she could
do to make reputation better. But she has re recorded

(03:04):
Taylor Swift, and I don't know when we'll get that one.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
So congratulations to.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Her, all right, And then finally, in three things you
need to know this morning. Oh what a beautiful wedding
photo I saw of Hailey Steinfeld and Bill's quarterback Josh
Allen getting married over the weekend. You know, not many
photos were circulating of the wedding. Of course, I think
they tried to keep it as private as they could.
I had imagined that she'd be even a little bit
annoyed that even her wedding dress leaked, or at least

(03:30):
I would be. But gorgeous, slick hair, long veil, tight
a frame. It almost looked like a silky dress with
long white gloves. I'm such a glove gal, so I
congratulations to them. I actually don't have a date on
when they got together, but I know that the engagement
happened this past season, so I'm assuming it's one of

(03:50):
those things where it's like, hey, we got to get
it in this off season or the next. All right,
that is three things you need to know to get
your day started. For the second of June coming up
around seven oh five, we're commercial free, so as you
get acclimated, maybe into your first full week of summer vacation,
A reminder that you can search kiss one oh seven
one on the iHeartRadio app. I'll take care of the music,
the contesting, the conversation, all of it for free.
