Speaker 1 (00:00):
Your weeke up in the morning, kiss let us well,
I'm happy to be back with you.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
What does it look like for a thirty five year
old woman to go camping at her very first edm
music festival.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
That's where I was this weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Quickly, Sara at least usually comes in for chit chat
Roulette right around this time every Monday. We cover the
biggest topics from the internet so that you feel a
little bit more prepared going into your week. However, she
is in Las Vegas at the Sphere watching the Backstreet Boys,
and I was one hundred percent disconnected from my phone
this weekend. I keep getting myself involved in situations where

(00:35):
I have zero access to.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Cell phone service. I don't know what it is.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I Loca would I've come up successful every time, but
I had no service in Thornville.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
All right.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
If you were part of last week's show, I had
mentioned I was going to the music festival called Secret Dreams,
and it's a thing that goes from Wednesday to Sunday.
I only went Friday and Saturday night. Everything that you
think could have had at any music festival happened this weekend.
And it was certainly a time and It was so gross,

(01:09):
so gross, but also the best. Just remember on this
show end in life, two things can be true. At
the same time. It was gross, but it was awesome.
I had such a good time, and I'm happy to
report that I marked safe returned home from that experience.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Let's address the camping situation. So I had.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Stayed with a group of boys, and I was so
apprehensive about that, but they had assured me that they
had everything covered, and I am happy to report that
they really did a good job. These are seasoned festival
camping veterans. I mean we had a stove, we had chairs,
there was a setup, there was a carpet on the ground.
The air mattress had air in it. Shower situation was

(01:50):
a different story. Now again, showering with a group of
boys not at the same time. They do things a
little differently. Think of a gasoline can that you would
have when you would wait, maybe you walk down seventy
one North one time because you ran out of gas
and you needed to get some. That's what I showered
out of this weekend. I took a red solo cup
of a raw bar of soap, stood behind the tent,

(02:11):
completely naked and broad daylight in the grass, and that's
how I cleaned myself this weekend. I am one to
connect with nature, and let me tell you, for me
to do something like this, I had to completely relinquish
control and be completely open to what was in front
of me to really fully enjoy this experience. And that's

(02:32):
been my vibe for summer twenty twenty five. I keep
saying it. My tab on life is wide open this summer.
And so this was another one of those experiences. So
that was kind of a camp life. And then you
walk and you go into the festival and the same
rain that you got here this weekend also happened in Thornville.
And I had gotten a lot of feedback from friends
and advice, and my sister goes camping quite a bit.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
She called me and left me.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Oh, she let me a voice know, and she said, Tiffany,
the one thing I recommend for you is if if
you're gonna do narcotics, you need to get them tested.
And number two, if you are gonna walk around and
there is mud, do not go barefoot in that mud.
That is not what you think it is.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
It's like, okay.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
And I heeded that warning so hard because may let
me tell you that Legend Valley was covered in mud covered.
But there were people out there, like I said, living
their best lives, totally immersed, walking around barefoot.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Not for me, not for me. But the music itself
was very cool. I am one.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Of course, you listen to my show and maybe you
participate daily or every once in a while. I like music.
I like all types of music. This was music that
had no words, and that was a new experience because
it was all edm We did not.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Go to bed.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
You don't typically sleep on those music festival weekends. I
ended up getting there at five o'clock. Let me tell
you my last the first I had, My last full
night of sleep was Thursday. I went to bed in
my bed on Thursday night, my last full night of
sleep with Sunday. I got maybe two hours each night
that I was there. Because you're just one thing leads
to another. That's type of energy from these things, and

(04:10):
you're up.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
You're going to this festival.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
You're going to this stage and then that stage, and
some of the highlights, I would say, And of course
if you're a visual person, I didn't get a lot
of footage. I got a lot less than I thought
I would because I was just wrapped up. It also rained,
so the phone was in the ziploc bagging. But what
I do have is up there if you want to
take a peek. I liked how completely immersive it was
and how you could put your phone away and really

(04:33):
experience it.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I liked how nice everyone was. I'd gotten that before
I went.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
You'll they said, you're gonna have a really good time
talking to people because people there were so nice and
so friendly.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
You'd walk around and people would hand you things. I
loved it.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Would I go back if that's the big question for
you this morning? I think I would, And Tom Brady
asked me the same. If you're not familiar, tom Brady's
the guy I've been seen since March. We call him
tom Brady because on our first date he didn't know
who Tom Brady was, full stop. I know we've since
recovered from that moment. But he looked at me said,
do you did you like it? This is a big
deal for him. He really likes this stuff. And I said,

(05:11):
you know what, I could ride for another music festival.
I don't think I'm going to give you four nights
of this, but I could see myself doing two nights.
It was it was lovely to be connected in nature
and talk to people and you know, you can't eat
your camp and.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
It was cool. It was definitely a new thing for me.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Like I said, if you're a visual person at the
tiff to F's Potter like the Wizard. The only major
thing that happened was that it rained, and you know,
camping in the rain was certainly an experience, and I
showered out of a gas can, So there's that.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
You know. What's a nice luxury experience though

Speaker 2 (05:44):
That you can get in Cincinnati is a gift card
to Mitchell Salon And I'm going to stamp here since
the summer pass work coming up in three minutes with
your chance to win that, I'll take care of you
in the meantime, we're commercial free and thanks for hanging out.
