Speaker 2 (00:10):
Your weekend up with.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Good morning and morning, and all of the years that
I've experienced snow, this one thing saved me and has
been saving me. You can get a jump on the
visuals at the TIF two F's Potter like the Wizard.
It is the very first thing that you will see
in my stories, and that is called a space saver.
I'm this isn't the first time I've introduced sincey to

(00:35):
this concept, but probably to the first time to this
level because we haven't experienced snow like we did over
the weekend since the early two thousands. From what I'm hearing,
the space saver culture is, it is ruthless. It it

(00:57):
It was definitely an experience for sure. So if you
didn't know this, I'm originally a New Englander and I
grew up mostly like the second half of my you know,
my adult life. I was in Boston and went to
school in Boston. I lived in Boston for several years
after that before I moved to Cincinnati. Everything about the
city of Boston is street parking, like no one has

(01:21):
a driveway unless you go out towards the suburbs and
the rule and it's at this point I don't even know,
if it's like like a legitimate it's like an unwritten rule,
but it's a rule.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
At one point Boston had to like come out on
the news and say, you guys got a chill with
this stuff. But the rule in Boston is if you
shovel out your street spot, then you go ahead and
you put a space saver in there. And you can
do that technically, I think for the first twenty four
to forty eight hours now here of a snowstorm. Now

(01:54):
here's the unwritten rule of that you keep that space
saver in there for as long as you want.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
And the funniest things.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
I would walk the streets of you know, Southe and
Brighton where I lived, East Boston where I lived, and
you would see various things in people's spaces and you
would know that that's a space saver. Like I'm talking
a baby height chair, a Dunkin do, a simple Dunkin Donuts.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
To ice coffee cup.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
If you saw a Dunkin Donuts ice coffee cup standing
straight up and a shoveled street spot that was not trash,
that was in fact someone's space saver, and everyone knew,
everyone knew that you had a spot and it. Let
me tell you, if you went in and took someone
else's street spot and there was a space saver there, there's.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
A very good chance that your tires would get slashed.
I'm not kidding.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
And there would also be violent notes written and put
onto your windshield. So that's what I'm used to. I
go out of my house on Sunday night to try
to start the clean up prop which, by the way,
no one in my neighborhood had a shovel. Again posted
on my stories at the tiff to F's Potter like

(03:07):
the Wizard. I live across the street from a row
of mansions and no one was using a shovel.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
It's like, how do you how do you possibly own
I'm not a I'm an adult.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I'm not going to freak out about this, and I
don't want to come off as like miss New England
expert in the snow, but it's just so ingrained into
my brain. So when I was out there, properly dressed
with snow boots, a hat, a jacket is shoveling the
entire property, shoveling out my car, and I'm looking around
and my neighbor's using a dust pan I was like.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Where are we? Where are we? What's going on? And
I know?

Speaker 1 (03:43):
And two this is like two things about this are
very contradicting to me. My neighbor had said to me, like, Tiffany,
I know what snow is. We grew up with snow,
like we have snow here. And I said, okay, well
then you're prepared versus the action that they put forward.
I was like, what are you talking about. You don't

(04:03):
have any experience with the snow. I he came out
in Nike ankle his sneakers and ankle socks.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I was like, you have no experience, what are you
talking about?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
So if you are, like I said, a visual person,
check it out at the TIF to F's potter like
the Wizard.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Because this this.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Is am I crazy for this behavior in my neighborhood.
I'm the only one that shoveled out and has a
space saver.
