Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because you're waking up with fifth in the morning, kiss
one O seven one.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Good morning. It hasn't fully sunk in yet that we
have a three day weekend ahead of us.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
So nice three day weekends are perfect.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
It gives you the right amount of time to do
whatever you want to do, relax and do the things
you need to do.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
And if you're a parent with a kid.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
In fall sports, they're most likely canceled this weekend unless
whatever league you play in is a monster.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
I'm praying that the weather is nice.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
I'll even take the hot weather like we've had, although
yesterday my car said one oh one and I.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Said, ooh, spicy out here.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
My air conditioning in my car just it felt like
I was just using a fan.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
It was just hot. Traffic was rough.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yesterday it was just hot, hot, hot hot. No complaints
out of me. You know, I'd rather be this way
than any other way. But you know my stance on that.
I haven't quite checked the weather for Labor Day weekend yet.
I'm superstitious, but I'm praying that Sunday's Riverfest and our
Western and Southern web and fireworks just is good.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
It's good, knockout what it's been good.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Let's hope that we still have some you know, some
luck left us in US and it's still good. I
have to go visit my dad and my sister this
weekend in Massachusetts, and we're gonna spend more time on
that in the eight o'clock hour. As to why I've
got to go and what's going on at home, I'll
fill you in on that. But I booked a ticket
for an airline called Breeze Airlines.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Literally never heard of it.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
I had to use Google Flights to get a flight
out because it was so last minute. Breeze Airways is
what I think the name is, not Airlines. Breeze Airways
flight was like two hundred dollars, praying that it just
takes off in lands when we when we needed to
this weekend. All right, come at six fifty, I've got
the three things you need to know to get your
(02:03):
day started in Cincy and at eight thirty this morning
your chance to win Latto ticket.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Glynn. You need to know she's got you. It's three
things with tip on good morning.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
We're just before at seven o'clock and the head of
trust in Safety for TikTok Susie loftus was in Cincinnati
yesterday talking about safety.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Data underage users of TikTok.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
TikTok is safe.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
I mean, we have spent two billion dollars this year
to build out our trust and safety efforts. If you
are between thirteen and fifteen, your account is automatically private.
Only your friends can comment on your videos, and for
under eighteen's you can't go live.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
You know, we had talked about it on the show
when the news broke that they were banning TikTok from
the US unless the Chinese parent company Byte Dance could
sell it.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
And here's the status on that. We're challenging in the courts.
It's unconstitutional.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Like I said when that happened, I didn't think TikTok
was just gonna boom disappear from your app. But I
know a lot of small business users use the platform
to you know, sell This is huge, but I don't
think it's really stopped a lot of people, at least
an hour demographic from using the app. Courtesy a wowt
for the video on that one. All right, second and
(03:22):
three things you need to know this morning.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
I'm not surprised by this. In fact, I totally agree
with it.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
The new Heights podcast, both Travis and Jason Kelsey, you know,
graduates of the University of Cincinnati going to UC can
get you paid, apparently outside of their contracts with the NFL.
Of course, Jason's retirement announced earlier this year, they just
signed a deal with Amazon that their podcasts will be
(03:49):
worth one hundred million dollars. That story broke yesterday, and
according to this report, they'll have the rights to all
the video and audio connected to the New Heights with
Jason and Travis, so they can cash in on everything
that they've done in the past as well, including when
(04:10):
Jason and Travis we're at u SEE doing New Heights Lives.
And then we had that Travis Kelsey graduation.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
You guys some advice.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Who I love that. I think it's I think it
makes total sense. The podcast has done really well. It's
very very entertaining, and everyone loves it. It most certainly
got the Taylor Swift lift in the beginning, but I
think that anyone that consumes the podcast now doesn't just
(05:00):
do it because of Taylor.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
It's because the content and the conversation is there all right.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
And then finally, in three things you need to know
this morning, It's been a bumpy road for Halsey over
the last two years. You know, I had announced on
this show the video she put out about her having
lupus and battling that and just being really sick. She
just teased us with a brand new album though. This
is called The Great Impersonator, And here's a quick clip
(05:25):
of the trailer.
Speaker 6 (05:27):
I really thought this album might be the last one
I ever made. When you get sick like that, you
start thinking about ways it could have all been different.
What if this isn't how it all went down.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
I don't have a release date on that for you,
but when there is one, I gotcha.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
That is three things you need to know for the.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Twenty eighth of August who were cruising towards Labor Day
coming up at seven oh five or commercial free. Best
way to keep listening to Tiff in the morning is
on the iHeartRadio. I'm at seven twenty What is the
one thing a.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Man needs to be happy? Seven? What is the one
thing a man needs to be happy?
Speaker 2 (06:06):
I'm wondering If you have any guestses ahead of time,
You're more than welcome to leave me at talk back
with Tiff on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
We'll get into that next.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
You're waking up in the morning.
Speaker 7 (06:15):
Kiss.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
We gave you a few minutes to guess what makes
a man happy?
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Sarah Alice.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
You'll recognize her voice for my show by now right,
you guys are familiar with her. She joins me for
Chit Chat Roulette on Mondays, and she's got her own
show with Kid Chris down the Hall of WEBN. What
makes a man smile as big as Ben Affleck is
in this picture.
Speaker 8 (06:37):
It's fast food. It's that simple. That is the way
to a man's heart. I mean, as a woman, the
way to my heart.
Speaker 9 (06:44):
Is definitely food.
Speaker 8 (06:45):
Sure, So we don't need to think too much into it.
Just get him some fast food.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Sure.
Speaker 10 (06:49):
I mean, look how giddy. It's like the teeth. The
teeth there, you can see at least eighteenth. I never
knew he had teeth. The entire time this man was.
Speaker 8 (06:59):
With j Lo looked absolutely miserable. Turns out like you
and I talked about cigarette duncan, fast food and this
man has to stay single.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
All the man needs all I mean men in general.
I'm sure you're thinking the top three things that a
man needs. I don't even need to say them for
you to know where we're going with that. But this,
like Ben Affleck, looks miserable most of the time that
he's existing in life unless he has a sig in
his hand, a Duncan's ice, and now a greasy bag
(07:35):
of takeout food, which we both share that same emotion
when Uber eats, When and if I get it and
it delivers to my door, that like pure giddiness you
feel to go pick up your food.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Is it just it's unmatched.
Speaker 8 (07:47):
The happiness is definitely unmatched. When you get that message
that says your food has been delivered and you see
that bag sitting there on your front porch. No person
in this world can hop what that feeling is that
goes through your body.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I don't care who you are and if you're if
you're Ben, it's this Duncan.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
Made me brand Ambassa because they know they looked at
the numbers.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
I'm like, we don't need anybody else. We know what
sells every man, regular guy, Boston guy.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
If you were to get something delivered to your house
right now, by the way, I thought that the McDonald's.
Speaker 8 (08:22):
I thought that was a McDonald's bag in It turns
out it's Jack in the box. You have to zoom
in a little bit. But I thought the same thing
at a first glance.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
I'm not getting Jack in the box.
Speaker 9 (08:30):
What's your favorite fast food spot?
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Fast food is probably Popeyes.
Speaker 9 (08:37):
Oh yeah, that's spicy chicken sandwich.
Speaker 8 (08:39):
Baby.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Yeah, for a long time like good.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
When I was a kid, my mom used to get
me to go to like church and stuff by saying
we could get Burger King and like donuts.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
And I still uh, A donut for me still hits.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Oh yet I think if I want like the fry
and chicken meal, I want Popeyes.
Speaker 8 (08:56):
I think Popeyes is above all chicken spots. It's better
than chicken, better than Wendy's.
Speaker 11 (09:01):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (09:01):
For me, when I get something delivered, I'm looking for
a cheeseburger and fries.
Speaker 9 (09:05):
I'm going McDonald's.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 9 (09:07):
I love McDonald's.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
There is something about the consistency across the board with McDonald's.
It leaves a taste in your mouth for like three
to four hours afterwards.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (09:17):
I don't know if it's plastic wax or like whatever
the fake ingredients are. And here's the thing. You could
tell me that they're putting body parts in there. I
do not care. McDonald's is so good, it's superior.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
If there's another food that you get delivered to your
house that's not fast food, what do you usually get?
Speaker 10 (09:34):
You know what?
Speaker 8 (09:35):
Lately I've been getting bonefish grilled because they have a
really good chicken caesar salad.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Are you kidding me? I was just next to a
bonefish grill yesterday.
Speaker 9 (09:42):
It is so good. And they're bank Bank shrimp.
Speaker 8 (09:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (09:45):
Shoot, we live about five minutes away from one.
Speaker 8 (09:48):
So if we're getting something fancy delivered and want to
go like a different route other than fast food, bonefish
is really good.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
I do Andy's Mediterranean in my neighborhood off the Gilbert Avenue.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Never been there.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
So expensive and it will cost me like forty or
fifty dollars to get a meal delivered to my house.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
It's so worth it.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
All the things I want, I want more than one thing.
Speaker 7 (10:09):
I know.
Speaker 8 (10:10):
That's what you end up doing when you get the
delivery stuff, because no one can judge when those people
pick up your bag and set it down. They don't
know what all is in there. They don't know that
it's for one person. I'm like, why are there five
sets of silverware in here. This is embarrassing. Oh that
happens with sushi all the time, Like it's just me.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
You're waking up with fifth in the Morning time.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
How fitting that that song Shahboozy is according to you
and there running for the Tiff in the Morning Song
of Summer.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
We're voting on that right now.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
It's the top pinned post on the Kiss one oh
seven's instagram and mine.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
You just comment on what.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
You think should be in the running and it's one
of the four finalists. In fact, Espresso, Shaboozy and Chapel
Roan are taking the top spots at the moment. But again,
you have got to be a part of this decision
making process. So while we're in the midst of looking that,
I figured we visit songs of Summer from years past,
(11:05):
starting off with the Tiff in the Morning Song of
Summer from last year, Taylor Swift Cruel Summer voted on
by you. That song was interesting because it came out
(11:32):
off of her Lover album in like twenty twenty, right,
but it just had this huge resurgence last year, and
that's the one you voted on to me, the Tiff
in the Morning Song of summer.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Going backwards in years.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
In twenty twenty two, it was Harry Styles as it
was as.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
It's not.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
I think the qualifications for anything to be voted on
as song of Summer, it has to have like mass
appeal longevity. You have to know the words to it,
you have to know the lyrics, but it transports you back.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
To whatever summer that was.
Speaker 7 (12:13):
Right.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Twenty twenty one was a year of COVID that probably
is gone from your memory, so I wouldn't be surprised
if you didn't remember this one. BTS's Butter was crowned
by Billboard as twenty twenty one, but.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
For you, I know, no.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Meal Caddy Bath forgot about it twenty twenty. This song
forever ingrained in my brain no matter what summer it
is Harry Styles again with Watermelon Sugar, Oh don't know, wa.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
Su waa mougar.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
It's such a one, and then jumping around a little
bit taking it back to the volt Carly Ray Jebson's
Call Me Maybe was twenty twelve.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Gay Off the Ball.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Chick, and then in twenty sixteen, like I said, we're
just kind of bopping.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Around a little bit was Drake's one dance.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
I need no one never got ahead, sire time.
Speaker 8 (13:27):
I I have thought I was taken all So.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
I get your votes in now for this year at
the tip to F's potterleg the Wizard, we're still commercial
free with the song of Summer from the year two thousand.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Glenn, you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with tip good morning.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
We're just before eight o'clock.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
At eight thirty, I have your chance to win lotto tickets,
not lottery tickets, the singer lotto.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
She's coming on November first, so don't go far.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
It's kind of sportsy in this three things report today,
but all I think important things. Jamar Chase is gonna
play against the Patriots in the season. Opra coach said
that yesterday. I know I'd been talking about it the
last couple of days, concerned, you know, with the contract
negotiations for the extension. What will you know him being
at practice but not practicing.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
They said he's good to go. He's gonna play. Second
and three things you need to know this morning.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Lebron James was asked when his son Bronni joins him
this year on the team, will he call him Dad?
Speaker 12 (14:30):
No? We already laid that No, we already laid No,
he can't.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
We already laid that down.
Speaker 12 (14:34):
I cannot call me Dad.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
In the workplace, all right.
Speaker 12 (14:36):
Once we once we leave out of the private facility
and the gates closed, I could be Dad again in
the car, if we ride together at home, I could
be Dad. No, he got to call me like two
three or bron okay or you know, go if he
wants to.
Speaker 9 (14:53):
That's up to him.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
I mean to him, I'm not calling my dad two three.
In other basketball news, Katelyn and Clark fell yesterday in
her game and sprained her ankle.
Speaker 6 (15:04):
I've done it a few times, so it is what
it is every basketball You're not a real basketball player if.
Speaker 12 (15:08):
You have a sprainder ankles bunch.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
That's that's when you She twenty two years old, by
the way, broke history again yesterday with three pointers last night,
tying Wrynn Howard for the most threes made by a
WNBA rookie, which is eighty five. And then, lastly, in
three things you need to Know this morning, like I said,
a little sports seams report here. The Kelsey Brothers podcast
(15:33):
was just picked up for one hundred million dollars from
Amazon and the company that's underneath Amazon will have access
to all of the content past, present, in future at
the moment of this contract, and that includes when New
Heights was filmed here in Cincy.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
You gotta fight, if.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
You remember that, Travis famously said that on stage while
accepting his diploma that night.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
I give you guys some advice you got.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
All right?
Speaker 2 (16:15):
That is three things you need to know for the
twenty eighth of August, coming up around eight thirty. Your
chance to win those lotto tickets don't.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Go far because you're waking up fifth in the morning.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Kiss good in Milearning coming up at eight thirty, so
not long from now. I'm your chance to win the
lotto tickets, not lottery. She's flying in Friday, November one
for a show at the Brady, and you'll need the
keyword hoarder to win. Anyone in your family or maybe
(16:49):
your friend circles parents are they a hoarder?
Speaker 3 (16:53):
I laugh, and I joke to keep from crying.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
I had been talking to you guys about planning for
my dad's estate. We've been doing that for a while,
updating you here and there on it. I think I
had even mentioned late last week that my stepmother, my
father's wife, is in the hospital due to some health complications,
and I'm flying back to Massachusetts over Labor Day weekend
(17:18):
to help clean out the house, and I.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
There's a lot of emotion coming up with it.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
I graduated at college in twenty twelve, and I pretty
much haven't slept in my childhood home since the day
I moved out into Boston with all my college girlfriends,
so well over ten years. I'm going to be going
back to my childhood home this weekend, and who knows,
I might sleep in the front yard.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
I don't know. Thank God, it's hot out. We love
to keep from crying.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
I bring this stuff up just in case anyone else's,
you know, experiencing this too, or maybe has advice or tips.
So you've seen TLC shows about hoarders. I don't think
my boomered father is that bad, okay, And I know
he's probably listening on the iHeartRadio app today. Hi Dad, I'm,
you know, letting it out on the air today because
we need some help. So he's just a part of
(18:20):
that generation that collects things and has things, and of
course has lived in the same house for fifty years
that he bought for like thirty thousand dollars, by the way,
and it's just years and years worth of stuff. But
he also hates throwing things away, so he loves to
collect boxes in magazines and just like little piles of
(18:43):
stuff all over the house is no problem to him.
Clutter is no, it doesn't even see it. We're my
brain and I wonder if this is just a lot
of millennials in gen Z in general my house, you
would walk into my apartment and be like, wow, did
you just move in?
Speaker 3 (18:58):
No, But I don't decorate. I don't keep clutter around.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
I'm Marie Konda, and I think we all learned a
lot from Marie over the pandemic. Everything in my house
has a place, and if it doesn't, I don't need it.
But for some reason, that generation, I don't know if
it's because their parents fought in World War Two and
they held on to literally everything. So I'm flying back
tomorrow night and we have to clean the house out
(19:24):
before my step mother it comes back from the hospital.
And I've been trying to talk to my dad about it,
you know, for years and years, like, hey, you got
to get rid of this stuff, gotta get rid of
this stuff right while you're still mobile, able to walk around,
able to help, instead of just dumping it all on
my sister and I. I said, we got to do
it this weekend, and he's like, well, well, I said,
we need to get a dumpster. And he's like, well,
you know, it's kind of last minute for a dumpster.
(19:45):
And I'm like dad, and I'm trying to be delicate
and sensitive, because I'm essentially like, I have no remorse.
I'm going to walk into that house and throw everything,
every single thing I see away. I'll leave them with
a T shirt and a bar a dove and be
like here you go, five win, three, seven, four nine,
one oh seven one. If you've got someone in your
family that's going through something similar, maybe you've already done this.
(20:06):
Maybe you have tips and advice for me. He seems
to be open about it. Last thing I'll say on
this is when I was calling him yesterday, I said, hey,
I'm flying in.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
We're going to clean out the house.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
We have to, right, you know, everyone at that age downsizes. Anyways,
you have to get rid of this stuff so that
it's not just left behind in ten years or so.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
Whatever.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Knock on wood right, and he seems to be okay,
but I'm fearful that he's just taking little piles of
things and moving them into other places and hiding them
from me. In the morning, Good morning, you're waking up
with TIF in the morning on Kissuan oh seven one.
We're a few minutes away from you winning lotto tickets,
not the lottery. I feel the needs to clarify that
she's flying in Friday, November one, and you'll need the
(20:48):
keyword hoarder. That's the last time I'm going to say it.
We're in the midst of talking about that right now.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
I would say my.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
Dad is a part of the hoarder generation, you know,
those boomers hang on to everything. And I'm flying back
into Massachusetts this weekend for Labor Day to clean out
the house. I finally convinced him after my stepmom went
through some medical stuff that we really, really really need
to clean out this house and terrified. I don't I
don't know, I just I need some advice. You have
(21:15):
been super helpful, so we'll start with you.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
You're on the air, Good morning. I just wanted to
call in and let you know.
Speaker 11 (21:21):
So I actually had a neighbor who had collected things
over years, so to speak, and that person ended up
suddenly dying and they found her in the home. But
you know, it was several days and they had to
(21:44):
maneuver around to be able to get her removed from
the home. And it was it was just such a sight.
I mean, it was just horrible, so sad to see
all of all of the things in our home, and
you know what, it just it was, yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Well, what's your name? What name are you calling me
a neighborhood?
Speaker 11 (22:07):
You call me from Crystal and from Bruna.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Well, thank you so much for the call, Crystal. I
really appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
Absolutely, we have so.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Many phone calls. I'm trying to get to as many
as i can. Good morning, Thank you for calling.
Speaker 7 (22:20):
Hey, I have a hoarder mother in law, and my
poor wife has been begging her to point out that
out there's four bedrooms they can't even go in. All
she does try to figure out every weekend, how can
I go down there?
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Don't come down, don't come down.
Speaker 7 (22:38):
It's wild. Your comment was therapy, Thank you?
Speaker 3 (22:43):
I did.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
Oh well, I'm glad that it helped you. I did
have to go to therapy a little bit for it
yesterday just to kind of prepare me for the weekend.
I just I don't get it. So it's really hard.
I don't know, do you. I mean, it seems like
you're going through the same thing. So I don't know
if you have advice or tips for us or not,
but it's that I can't see how anyone would want
(23:04):
to live that way. So I'm trying to meet my
dad where he is, essentially, but it just seems like
it's so I would never want to do that, never
want to.
Speaker 4 (23:12):
Live like that.
Speaker 7 (23:13):
Yeah, I think it's empathy. You're doing the right thing.
You got to put yourself and just say like, it's
so hard for them to get rid of this stuff.
It's like part of their identity, you know. So you're
doing the right thing. You just got to do it
with tenderness.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Well, thank you. What's your name? What neighborhood you calling
me from.
Speaker 7 (23:28):
I'm Tom. I'm from port right.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Thanks for the call.
Speaker 9 (23:31):
Tom.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Sometimes when I come I'm a savage not but I
am trying to be tender on this one, all right.
I appreciate you. Hey, if you're going through it, I
got youa coming up next.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
The lotto tickets don't go far.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
You're waking up with Sif in the morning on kiss
one o seven to one.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
Hi, I'm hoping that you have a keyword for me.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
I'm a quarter.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
Congratulations, you got the keyword in you're calling humber ten.
Speaker 13 (23:54):
Yay.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
You're going to see lotto on Friday November first, Yay.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
Yes, fantasy. I can tell you got beat me. Well,
congratulations Gal. What's your name? What neighborho are you waking
up with me in this morning?
Speaker 9 (24:09):
My name's Faith and I'm com from for it.
Speaker 7 (24:12):
Faith.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
Thank you so much for Colin. I appreciate and thanks
for listening to Tip in the morning every.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
Day, every morning.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
I love you for it. Thank you, thank you.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
If you took an l on these, we'll do it
again tomorrow if you want to set a reminder with
Sirie at eight thirty or Google. And then coming up
next we're going to dive into the three things you
need to know to get your day started here in.
Speaker 10 (24:30):
Cincy when you need to know She's got you.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
It's three things with Tip one.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Hi, good morning, So the head of Oh, by the way,
I forgot to mention this. I'm sorry. We are just
before nine o'clock at nine oh five is your next
chance to win that trip?
Speaker 3 (24:51):
All expenses paid out to Las Vegas.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
Plus I'll throw in an extra thousand bucks for our
iHeartRadio Music festival.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
All right. So the head of trust in safety.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
For all of TikTok was in Cincinnati yesterday. Her name
is Susie Loftis, and here she is talking about what
do I have the right thing here? So sorry, guys,
sometimes my computer just jumps around on me. She was
talking about just TikTok in general and it's safety guidelines
(25:22):
here in the US, specifically with teens.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
TikTok is safe.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
I mean, we have spent two billion dollars this year
to build out our trust and safety efforts.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
If you are.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
Between thirteen and fifteen, your account is automatically private. Only
your friends can comment on your videos, and for under eighteens,
you can't go live.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
And then remember I had mentioned this.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
I didn't think that the app was just going to
like disappear, you know, after they banned it in the US,
unless Bite Dance could sell it.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
But of course it's being held up in the courts.
We're challenging in the courts.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
It's unconstitutional, so we'll see what actually comes from that.
When there's more, I'll update on it. Courtesy of WLWT
for the video. I've been talking about this quite a
bit this morning, but the Kelsey brothers new Heights of
Live podcast, you know, sold for one hundred million. Graduating
from UC can get you paid right outside of their
football contracts.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Although Jason has retired.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
They were picked up by Amazon and a company underneath
them called Wondering for one hundred million, and they'll have
access to stuff that they've done in the past. So
I'm assuming that includes their New Heights Live podcast that
they did live here at Fifth Third earlier in the year.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
It's almost just a little.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
Bit Jason Kelsey, so goofy. He gives me Adam Sandler vibes.
By the way, I don't know why that's coming to
my brain, but it is. Jason is going to make
his full time debut on ESPN's Monday Night Countdown this season,
so I would say, what a week or two weeks
from now, and you remember, of course, Travis Kelcey accepting
that diploma at Fifth third Night.
Speaker 5 (27:01):
Give you guys some advice.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
You gotta find.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Yes, I love it all right. And then lastly and
three things you need to know this morning. Let us
have a round table about Jeremy Allen White Woo.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
So I'm a big fan of The Bear in general.
I just love that show on Hulu.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
I don't if you've seen it, you know that the
Christmas episode in season two is most likely going to
be in history as one of the best television episodes
of all time.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
The man's a Calvin Klein underwear model and the.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Next round of photos have come out on the Internet,
and the Internet's not well about it, and I understand.
I'm right alongside you guys on that one. You gotta
check those ones out. I'll repost them at Kiss one
oh seven. All right, if the heat and humidity doesn't
bother you today, and then you might love going to
Vegas in September our iHeart radio music festivals. The third weekend.
(28:05):
All expense is paid with the weekend. Doja cat dua
lipa in more. I'll have that free trip for you
coming up at nine oh five. Don't go far and
the best way to keep listening to Tiff in the
morning while I have you. If you're gonna be out
at the pool today, I mentioned it earlier, but Ziegler
is still open. If you need resources and it's only
four bucks to get in, you can always pull us
up on the app by searching Kiss one oh seven one.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
We've got the music for you today.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
You're waking up morning, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Everyone knows the Arches. Sarah Jordan said it best. You
might have not heard her voice before, but I guarantee
you at the end of this you are going to
be like.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
I'm ready to go, Tiffany.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
You know, I typically bring things to the table here
that I think you would either appreciate and enjoy or.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Want to get involved with or try.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
And Sarah Jordan is the director of development for the
Ronald McDonald House, and she said, everyone knows the Arches.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
You know the Arches.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
The Ronald McDonald House Gala Imagine Possibility is next weekend,
and I was just running through what the Ronald McDonald
House is, and Sarah, I want you to sum it
up in like a line or two for anyone that's
just like, ooh, I'm curious.
Speaker 13 (29:10):
Absolutely, it's a unique community, a compassionate community that supports
families who are traveling into Cincinnati for the medical care
of their children.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
And that's located right next to Cincinnati Children's What I
learned about this though.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
Is that it's worldwide. It's global.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
So there's a Ronald McDonald house in several cities across
the globe. And I asked her, I said, well, you
know what is this place? And she said, don't get
a confused, Tiffany. This is not a hotel. This is
a center where people can come with their families while
whoever in the family is getting medical care and everything
is paid for.
Speaker 13 (29:45):
It's all free because of the generous, generous community of Cincinnati.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
I mean, we're talking room board activities, meals meals that
was the other one I was thinking of, chef prepared meals. Yes,
and it's all community based here in cinc. I say, well,
you know, if you have the number off the top
of your head, how much does it cost to take
care of one family for like, I don't know, a
day or a week or what different number you have
one family.
Speaker 13 (30:09):
It's just under two hundred dollars a day for one family,
and we serve one hundred and seventy seven families a night.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
And you said that it's all even though this is
a global thing, all the money for Cincinnati and for
the community here is raised by people in Sincia, Northern Kentucky.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
It's incredible, it's incredible.
Speaker 13 (30:27):
The neighbors are maybe temporary, but Cincinnati takes care of them.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
Everyone knows the arches, everyone does. So you have this
gala coming up this coming Saturday. It's a week from
Labor Day, which is great, good timing on that one
at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. I mean, I always
like to talk about galas and events and fun stuff
because you know, you get to see the inexperience what
it's like to be a part of the Ronald McDonald House.
So if you want to buy tickets to the gala,
(30:52):
how do they do that?
Speaker 13 (30:53):
They can easily go to our website sure Rmhcincinnati dot org.
That's where you'll find out more details. And important thing
to note is that we like to have a lot
of fun at our largest fundraiser of the year, and
these are things that you're actually going to experience right
at our house. Fridays or Saturday nights are kind of bumping.
We host a lot of festivities for our families.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
I know that you guys are one and the same
but different. Will there be McDonald's at this gala. Do
people ask you that am I the only ones that
I can't be?
Speaker 11 (31:21):
No?
Speaker 3 (31:21):
And of course there will be. The after party is
lit and you get the late night McDonald's.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
You know, if you're already booked for next week and
totally understand, we'd love for you to buy tickets and
experience this and again, all the money goes back to
the Ronald McDonald house. But when you go to a
McDonald's or you order on the app and they say
would you like to round up? What do you usually
recommend for people to do for that round up?
Speaker 13 (31:50):
Say yes, in fact, ask them in advance, I'd like
to round up today.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
Okay, tell people what else? You know?
Speaker 2 (31:56):
Is it just the facilities? What is their money really
going to? When order late night uber Eats on the
app to get McDonald's to come here and they say
do you want to round up?
Speaker 3 (32:05):
And you're like, h do I do? I not explain
it to us really where this money is going?
Speaker 13 (32:10):
Just know when you round up every single day, that's
supporting families that call Cincinnati home for crucial needs. And
we're supporting those two meals a day. We're ensuring that
they're safe and secure. We're ensuring that tomorrow they know
where they're going to be and that they're going to
be seeking and getting the medical care that they need.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
So that's something that they can count on.
Speaker 13 (32:32):
No matter if there's a Bengals game, no matter if
there's a concert, selling out the hotels in the area,
our team's going to be waiting for them, supporting them.
Speaker 3 (32:38):
Oh my god, I didn't even think of that.
Speaker 11 (32:40):
You know.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
Of course, with the Patriots coming into town, it's the
first game of the season next weekend, You've got hotels booked.
Like Taylor Swift is a great example last summer where
the hotels are at ninety percent occupancy.
Speaker 13 (32:51):
It's great for tourism, not great when you need to
be in Cincinnati to go to that checkup or to
see that specialist that you cannot see in your community.
Whether you're from Indiana or across the globe, you need
to be here and timing is crucial.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Okay, So Ronald McDonald house two things to note. Yes,
of course you can join us for the gaylat next
Saturday at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. We'd love for
you to buy a ticket and join. And of course
it's going to be a time, and you never know,
you might see a few French fries thrown in the
bottom of the bag.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
French fries, everyone knows the arches. But also anytime you
do shop.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Or eat at a McDonald's and they ask you to
round up, just know that that money is being raised
here in Sincy four, Cincinnati, and the answer should be
yes on that one.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
If you can, if you can, spare it.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Absolutely, Thank you so much, Sarah Jordan, she's the director
of development.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
I appreciate you stopping by Tiff in the morning.
Speaker 9 (33:44):
Thank you, TIF
